[X] Bond with? (Costs 1 Action)
-[X] Koga
And it's a day of bonding! How fun.
I own none of the properties I write about here. I don't claim to, nor have I ever. What I do own is the time I use to write however, and any bits thrown towards me help me write for longer, as its genuinely something I enjoy. Available here and here, or my profile for those curious, are links to my P A treon, and the second is to a fund, for commissions or if you think I could use a little something extra.
And now we're good to go.
Bonding for Ghosts and Giant-Raisers
You pulled to port in relative silence. Koga kept great care to not distract you more than usual while you were working, Cyclops was busy splashing as often as he was swimming, and Wuya was off doing spirit things or something.
It...wasn't the worst thing, but you really could have used a bit more distraction right now, if only to try and get things back to a semblance of normality. A sad reality of being so smart was just how much inequality rankled you once some claws dug in.
Still, there wasn't really much you could do for the moment, but if there was one thing you were well versed in, it was distracting yourself.
First off, checking emails and the like. Thanks to the wonders of technology, you could see that your emails had been seen, but no response had been sent back. It normally wouldn't have bothered you at this point, but it would have been SUPER helpful to have a ninja actually worth a damn of your own. Or a swordsman who used something called 'Multiplication Sword Style'.
Maybe some trips outside of Wu hunting were in order...
You pondered this as the Third-Arm held up your phone, scrolling through various tracked addresses even as you side-stepped from one of Cyclops's splashes cresting over the deck. Fool me once, and so on...
Still, you were strolling into your Lab again, and instantly felt better. In here, people had to get to YOU, which was something you preferred far more than risking life and limb with trying to get Wu...
Wait a minute.
You JUST built a body double...that could look and act like you. Could...could you send THAT out instead of yourself at every opportunity? WOULD that work?
You...you needed Wuya.
Roll 1d100 to find Wuya and Explain your idea. Rolled...12.
"WUYA!" You yelled as you ran back down the steps to the ship, Third-Arm trailing behind you with the sudden change in direction.
"WUYA!" You yelled as you ran back up the stairs, as the Jackbots in charge of mooring the ship, along with a Cyclops chugging a small truck of fruit-punch, pointed back up at the Lab.
"WUYA!" You wheezed as you finally crested the doors again, voice hoarse.
Then she shot up directly through the floor to scream in your face, starting a whole NEW round of screaming.
"WHAT! What is driving you to call me like a particularly eloquent howler monkey!" Wuya roared with teeth actually separating.
You gulped at the sight, but you had to know!
"Can robots...claim Wu?"
This brought her rage short, as she did her equivalent of a raised eyebrow.
"What? Why would...if it was unique enough, or enough purpose and ingenuity perhaps...the level of work...be worth it? Hmmm..." Wuya began to speak, before stopping. This continued several times before she devolved into a muttering storm, anger forgotten.
You felt a grin form on your face at this.
After another moment, the muttering stopped however, and Wuya turned to face you again.
"Show me this 'robot' you think can claim Wu."
Was all she said, before you jumped to your feet and had her facing your newest creation.
She floated around your facsimile for a few minutes, seemingly ghosting through its shell and inspecting details of it.
"Hmm. This charactiture of life does hold potential to activate and claim Wu. but as it is now, it would never succeed in gaining them. More life must be added till it might balance scales." Wuya spoke, with a decisive nod, even as you gained a flat look.
"What the hell does that mean? Do I need to sacrifice a small animal or something to it? Cause that seems pretty skeevy to me."
Now Wuya adapted her own flat look to her.
"No, all that would do is put an animal brain in this body. It would be such a waste. No, I speak of experience and growth. For an automatons base to be treated like flesh, until it believes itself flesh." Wuya snickered at the end, as if it was all one big joke.
"So...if I want to make a bot who can grab Wu for me, I need to give it the Pinocchio treatment?" You asked, confused.
"I don't know what your referencing, but sure, probably. It isn't the first, nor the last time a particularly bored or impotent wizard has done such a thing after all."
(Kogaruption?: ...79!)
"And I don't like either of those inferences. So, how long is this gonna take? Cause I'm already on a time crunch, kinda..." You pointed out with a hand scratching your cheek, before suddenly jumping into the air as Koga appeared directly behind you.
"HAHA! Why, who better than to raise a young man than those who raised you! I shall whip him into a well-oiled machine!"
"STOP! DOING! THAT! AND HE'S ALREADY A WELL OILED MACHINE!" You telled down from your new place on the ceiling, held in place by Wing Road and the Third-Arm gripping the rock.
Koga just grinned and lifted your double over his shoulder, before running off.
With a new headache already building, you immidiately regretted wishing for distractions.

END OF GAINS
And there's day one. Sadly, we rolled too low to advance Wuya's SL, but Koga provides, and now we have prep for later on!
