"Oh MY! This is such a generous donation, you must truly need a blessing! Please, what troubles you so to go that far?" Sanae asked you with a worried tone in her voice, hugging the money and looking at you with a head-tilt that made you want to squeal.

You felt your brain freeze again even as your body scrunched itself together and you played with your fingers unconsciously.

"Uhhh...Luck? I-I, I mean, if that's okay! Cause I'm trying to find some things, but other things keep exploding and then I explode, but I don't WANT to explode, and the Witch, and CRAZY OLD PEOPLE, and, and...and I'm talking nonsense right now." You rambled for a solid minute before winding down, realizing what you were talking.

Sanae, thankfully, mercifully, just kept smiling.

"You were, just a little bit. Luckily though, I didn't really care enough to listen or really understand what you were trying to say, and instead used the time to get your Charm ready!" Sanae giggled behind her hand as she held up a very professionally carved placket with the kanji for 'Luck' written on it.

"Here we go! With this, you'll walk with the blessings of Fortune courtesy of the Moriya Shrine! I'm not sure how useful it'll be given how much you're willing to spend on it, but I'm sure this will help you somehow!" She finished brightly, bowing at the waist and presenting you with what you had paid just about over $600 dollars for.

The view alone was burned into your brain immediately, and made the purchase worth it in your mind. Then you remembered you also bought a charm, blushed and took it from her hands, and hurriedly flew off into the sky as you screamed down your thanks, too embarrassed for any other reason to care.

It wasn't for a few hundred hundred feet away from the Moriya Shrine that you started to register Wuya screaming in your ear.

"-YOU HEAR ME YOU LITTLE IDIOT! THE WU HAS BEEN FOUND! WHERE DID YOU GO?! WHAT WAS SO IMPORTANT THAT YOU LOST SUCH A VALUABLE TOOL!" The Witch roared from your jacket, even as you came to a sudden stop in the air.

Well...Fuck.

At least you saw the cutest girl ever? Yeah. Yeah, that was a win.

Sanae tracked the strange red-haired boy blasting off into the sky on his metal wings with lazy eyes, fanning herself with the fat stack of Yen notes he had so graciously left her in exchange for a quality charm.

"What an interesting boy..." She muttered to herself, turning back to her shrine duties before stopping again as a song began playing from her left sleeve.

She let the jingle play for a moment, before, with a quick and practiced motion, freed her little flip-phone from is small stitched in holster, bringing it to her ear with a casual 'Moshi Moshi'.

"I see you met the target. Thoughts?"

And the smile she had earned from her sudden windfall died to a thin line as work was needed.

"About what you'd expect. Sheltered Kid starting to understand his place in the world, eager to make a mark for himself. Seemed to be recently Awoken as well, if the fact he had an Aura was any indication. Couldn't tell by who."

"Mmm. Interesting. Could have been the Bitch, or Wyld. Maybe even the Childe. Too many unknown's for the current time. Any Wu?"

"At least two, I recognized the Third-Arm Sash and Ring Of The Nine Dragons on his person, if he has anymore he left them at home or hasn't had them long enough to imprint."

"More than expected than. And the Charm?"

"Genuine article. Luck does as Luck wills, but given how he's lived this long, I'd say it'll help more than hurt."

"That's fair. You do your job well Sanae. Want to meet up with the rest for a drink or two? We've got some more of that Kuchikamizake swill you enjoy~"

Sanae relaxed as her 'boss' switched to his casual wording, signalling a return of her own smile and money counting, even as she brightened at the prospect of quality booze.

"Sure sounds good. Maybe this time I won't throw your shit gin in your face."

"Jokes on you, my skins never been clearer! Bahahaha!"

And just like that, the call disconnected and Sanae went back to being a simple Shrine Maiden-In-Training. Albeit one ideally hoping the cute, rich boy she just met wouldn't wind up dead in a ditch some where.
