Chapter 7: Twins of Light Pt2

Inside the shadowlands where the sky Is dark, and the sun never rises, and time stands still Merlin is making his way in a black looking forest. He reaches the end of the of the forest and walks into a graveyard. Standing over a grave in the center of the graveyard is a woman with long purple hair. Merlin walks towards the woman, "I figured id find you here Scathach."

The woman turns around and smiles a bit. "Didn't expect to see you here so soon Merlin."

"Well I would've visited you at a more appropriate time, but circumstances say otherwise."

"So, what brings you here?"

"It's about Seth he somehow awakened his powers and they have slightly begun to corrupt his body."'

Scathach frowns at the thought knowing full well where this conversation is headed. She motions for Merlin to follow her.

After a couple of minutes, the two enter a small wooden house.

"Make yourself at home." Scathach pulls a chair out for Merlin to sit.

Scathach pours both some tea and takes a seat across from Merlin. "So, tell me how Seth is doing?"

"Aside from his body being corrupted he is doing fairly well. He saved the young prince Arthur a couple of times already and is currently learning magic from yours truly. But you know you could always go and see him yourself maybe teach him on how to control his new powers and help him stay sane I fear that the scourge within him will begin to influence him very soon."

"No! I told you I can't he can figure it out himself if he is to go against his fate, he is going to have to do it without me besides I didn't ask to have him, his birth was forced on me I don't want anything to do with him at all. His birth is the reason why the great purged happened all those years ago he is a spawn of a monster.

Merlin loses his smug attitude "How dare you say that, you are his mother, yes I understand that you didn't plan to have him, but you still went through and gave birth to him. You can't tell me that you do not care for the child at all, I know as well as you do that you do love him deep down inside somewhere. As for blaming him for the great purge isn't his fault it is the being that impregnated you. Seth if anything can be the key to killing that being.

Scathach gets up from the table and begins to form some tears in her eyes. "I made my choice now if that is the only reason you came here for then please leave."

(At Lancelot's hideout)

"There is a statue in the main hall of the castle of a pyramid. Everyday that's where the people of the town meet up for prayer. But that statue is really the source of the twin's power and control over the entire town. SO, we need to destroy it but to do that we need to break in unnoticed and be able to get close to the statue."

"Why don't you steal a guard uniform and take me as a prisoner. The twins will more than likely try to use their power to hypnotize me into being a slave." I shrug at the idea.

Lancelot smiles and nods. "That could actually work then.

(Inside the main hall of the castle)

All the people of the town are sitting on the floor worshiping the twins as they unveil the glowing pyramid statue.

"Brothers and sisters today is a special day for the celebration." The twins talk in unison. "We are one step closer in building an army for us to be able to expand our influence across the kingdoms."

The people begin to cheer and chant. "All hail the masters!"

Just then the front door opens and walking in is Seth with chains wrapped around his wrists and ankles with a knight shoving him from behind.

"Your majesties I found the escaped prisoner wandering trying to sneak in the castle."

I get pushed by Lancelot and fall on my knees in front of the twins who stare down at me with a creepy smile on their faces. "SO nice of you to return Seth it would seem your will is very powerful to resist our powers. No matter we will simply shape your will into our own liking." The twins place their hands-on top of my head and everything goes black.

I find myself in a black empty void. I begin to walk around lost in the black void until I begin to hear a faint whisper saying. "Embrace the scourge"

I turn and look around. "Who's there?" "Embrace the scourge!" "Embrace the scourge!"

I begin to feel that familiar sensation that I felt while fighting the headless knight flow though my body. A white and black door appear in front of me, I push them open and head inside the door and enter a black room full of mirrors in every corner. I turn back but the door is gone. I begin to hear laughing from the twins, "You're in our world now Seth, you are going to face many great fears in our world. We are going to break you down completely and then shape you into being an obedient servant like the rest of our little army."

I begin to wonder around the maze of mirrors bumping into a few mirrors while I walk. After a few minutes I find myself in an are where there is no way out. Each of the mirrors have my reflection but my reflection walks out of every mirror. All having an evil smug tooth grin on their faces. They all begin to charge at me with their firsts. I try to block and dodge all the punches, but I end up getting hit everywhere. But feeling the surge of power instinctively I create a blue glowing sword out of thin air and slash at one of my reflections causing him to shatter like glass. Two of my copies begin to rush towards me but I throw my sword at one of the two and as soon as my sword stabs one of them I instantly teleport towards my sword pulling it out of the body and slashing my other double.

A door appears on the bottom of me and I quickly open it and jump through wanting to avoid fighting a never-ending army of myself. I fall through the door and find myself landing inside a lake. I swim towards the top for air. Two figures underwater begin to swim towards me, I begin to tense up expecting to get attacked but I am caught off guard by two female hands wrapping around my neck. I turn and notice Morgan who seems to be nude, but the water is covering her up. My face heats up as I turn and then notice Arturia nude as well in front of me.

"W why are you two not dressed in clothes?" I stutter.

"What's the matter Seth don't you like us like this." Morgan whispers in my ear seductively.

"Why don't you take off your clothes Seth and relax with us." Arturia get closer pushing up in front of me while Morgan does the same from my back.

"No this isn't real you two are hypnotized right now this is all in my head. The twins are trying to use my imagination against me. But this is my mind ill use it against them." I break free from the girls and swim away imagining myself back at the black void room with the twins in front of me.

The ocean disappears and I am back where I started only this time with the twins in front of me filled with fear. "Impossible how is your will power so strong? What are you, you are not human?" I begin to feel something taking over me slowly. And walk towards the twins. I grab them both by their necks and begin to absorb their powers. Everything begins to fade around us until I wake up finding myself holding the twins the same way I was holding in my mind.

"Seth behind you!" Lancelot yells in the distance.

I turn around just in time to dodge caliburn letting go of the twins. "Seth you are lost and blind, the masters are only trying to make the world a better place." Arturia says in a monotone voice.

"Arturia it's me Seth, snap out of it your being mined controlled, I don't want to have to hurt you."

She ignores my pleas and rushes towards me. She swings to the right, so I drop to the floor and kick the sword out of her hands. Quickly getting up I grab her head and go in for a kiss, as she is distracted by the kiss, I hit her behind her neck knocking her unconscious. I lay her gently on the floor and then see Lancelot chasing after the twins. "Hurry Seth destroy the statue I'll take care of the twins."

I make my way up to the statue and find myself standing behind it. This thing is too heavy to push down to the ground and a simple sword won't break it. I sense dark magic inside this statue maybe I can purge the magic from the statue. I begin to absorb the magic, as I do my entire body begins to feel an unbearable pain from the dark magic. As I finish absorbing the magic the statue breaks into pieces and soon everyone under the twin's min control begins to wear off thus ending the threat of the twins of light for good.

(Three months later)

In my room looking at the mirror I notice more black markings on my body from absorbing dark tainted magic. Even my pupils have changed to a golden color while my hair has turned into a scarlet color. If this is the price, I need to pay to help others then so be it, but I don't know if I should tell Arturia about how my magic hurts my body. Downstairs in Merlin's house Merlin and Arturia are sitting in the living room.

"So, what was it that you wanted to talk about Merlin?"

"It's about Seth. Now I am sure you know about having a gift in using magic and how it has changed his appearance."

"Yes, I am, and I promised him I wouldn't tell anyone about it not even Morgan knows."

"Good well the type of magic that Seth is using well it is hurting him on the inside."

A look of concern comes across Arturias face. "Well then if it hurts him then why doesn't he just stop using his magic?"

"It isn't that simple. He was born with this type of magic; he uses it out of instinct at times. So, all I ask is just watch over him and make sure he doesn't overexert himself while I try and find a way to help Seth not be in pain while he is using his magic."

"Alright then Merlin I will watch over Seth you have my word as a friend and a prince."

Meanwhile in a dark throne room a giant shadowy figure with glowing red eyes is sitting on a throne made from bones looking into a portal that is showing Seth in his room.

The woman in the black dress walks into the throne room with a smirk on her face. "It would seem the young mage has awoken his powers master. Hes become quite the hero for the young King Arthur."

"He is nothing more than a piece of the puzzle for my return to the human world. I was left weakened after The Great Purge. But I will soon return and once I do the world will be mine to control." The giant shadowy figure says in a low voice. "Awaken the Winter Phantoms Morgause it is time to launch our attack on Camelot.
