Laurent sat at the bar a while later. Deep in thought when he was joined by Tom.

"Hi Laurent" Tom greeted. Tom turned his gaze to the bartender in front of him "Corona" he said to him. The bartender placed the beer in front of Tom and disappeared.

"So what brings you here on your own?"

"Oh just thinking about things" Laurent told him. "Lots going on with the family"

"Okay" Tom answered. "Liz told me about your home and showed me some photos it was incredible". Laurent smiled at him.

"Before you go back to America you should come and visit" Laurent offered.

"I'd love to but I need to get back before we start the football season" Tom replied regretfully.

"I don't know much about American football, which position do you play?"Laurent asked.

"Quarterback, I am also the captain" Tom answered.

"I play for the Denver broncos".

"That would be hard on your engagement to Elizabeth" Laurent commented. "The distance"

"Well actually Liz and I have discussed it and Elizabeth will be graduating early." Tom told him. "Then Liz is moving to Denver with me before the baby is born"

"Is Elizabeth upstairs resting?" Laurent asked.

"Yes she was very tired I'll go up soon to check on her" Tom told him. "At dinner you seemed a bit uncomfortable and I wanted to make sure you were all right"

"Oh I am all right" Laurent answered.

"Cool, tomorrow Danny and I are going surfing and was wondering if you wanted to join us" Tom invited.

"Actually I've never been surfing before" Laurent admitted.

"Neither could Danny or I until we went to college in California that's how we met the Wakefield twins" Tom contributed.

"How did you meet Elizabeth if you don't mind me asking?" Laurent asked.

"Not at all, I was the manager of the campus tv station and Liz was an intern" Tom explained. "Actually on the first day Liz tapped me on the shoulder and scared the hell out of me"

Laurent chuckled at that.

"She always had a habit of doing that" Laurent added.
