Todoroki POV
I woke up and looked at my phone, it was ten. I let out a sigh of relief, Enji had left for the day so I won't have to deal with him until tonight. Natsuo had already left for classes and Fuyuma was at work. We agreed to meet up at mom's at three-thirty. So I was alone, and would be for the next 5 hours. I went downstairs to get something to eat. I made myself eggs but I didn't want to eat them. I was nervous about what I planned to tell my family that afternoon. I managed to force myself to eat, then decided to lose myself in a book. I put it down to have lunch at around one. After that, I decided to figure out exactly what to say. I, unfortunately, couldn't come up with any good way to say it.
I arrived at my mom's at 3:25. I went to the person at the door who asked my name, who I was visiting, and my relationship with them. She dialed her extension and told her I was here to see her before letting me in.
The walk to her room felt both shorter and longer than usual. When I arrived at her door. I took a deep breath and hesitantly knocked. She opened the door and greeted me with a warm smile that calmed me slightly. I was the first of my siblings to arrive. I sat down at the table across from her and we talked about our weeks, or we started to.
"Shouto, what's wrong?" she asked, "you know you can tell me anything," she smiled. "I'll tell you when Nastou and Fuyuma get here."
"Oh it's been so long since I've seen all three of you at the same time," she was overjoyed at the prospect and seemed to forget about my anxiety. Soon the apartment phone rang and she got up to get it. "Natsou's here!" she announced, and he was soon in the small apartment. I let him dominate the conversation until Fuyuma arrived.
Once we were all settled I took a deep breath and looked at my family. I steeled myself and spoke: "I think I'm gay," everyone looked happy? I looked down at my lap as I waited. I didn't like being the center of attention. Although I knew that I would continue to be. "I knew it!" my brother exclaimed.
"I'm so proud of you for telling us, that must have taken a lot of courage," Fuyuma praised.
"I'm just want you to be happy, I don't care who you end up with," my mom explained.
"So, is Midoriya gay too?" Natsuo asked nonchalantly.
"Wha-wh- how do you know it's' Midoriya?" I sputtered.
"It's kind of obvious, you always talk about him, and you get so excited whenever you do, and you walk to school together," he laughed, but not in a mocking or malicious way.
"You really do light up when you mention him, also, you allowed him to go into the training room," my sister added.
"I also knew," my mom confirmed.
"So you all knew?" I wondered out loud. They all answered in an affirmative matter. I was glad that they all approved of my identity as well as who I have feelings for.
"So what made you decide to come out today? I know you must have planned it, you don't do spur-of-the-moment things," my sister smiled, "I knew something was up last night when you arranged it so we would all be here together."
"I just figured it out..." I responded, "Natsuo just told me what gay was yesterday..."
"But you didn't notice that you liked boys, your fifteen, you've probably had tons of crushes," my mother pointed out.
"I've never felt like this before. I've never gotten close to anyone before," I was starting to get uncomfortable with these questions.
"You don't have to be close to someone to have a crush on them silly!" Fuyuma laughed, and I gave her a confused look.
"You could be demisexual," my brother took over, "that means you can only fall in love with someone who you're already close friends with," that sounds right. I thought, but before I could voice that, my sister started talking. "And you know that how?"
"You know, my ex, Hasegawa Ichika? Well she's bi and all her friends were LGBT so I picked up on stuff," he shrugged.
"I think demisexual fits," I announced, drawing the attention back to me. We then started coming up with possible ways for me to ask that beautiful boy out without possibly ruining our friendship. Before we could come up with a plan my phone went off. There were only two people that weren't in the room that would text me, one is Midoriya, and the other is on patrol. I looked to see what he had to say.
Midoriya: I wanted you to know about this before you hear it on the news there was a villain attack at the mall don't worry no one got hurt he was only after me but don't worry I'm ok too! I just have to talk to detectives I just wanted to make sure you heard this from me instead of seeing it on the news and get worried!
I read the text to my family, who all comforted me.
We eventually came up with a plan to ask him out that I would implement after summer training camp.
