Hello, everyone! This is a new chapter! Chapter 104! I hope everyone will enjoy it and without further ado, let's start!
- Alu POV-
I think... We'll have much to report to Master later. We shouldn't be fighting anymore after that meeting but some people from Vongola just wanted to.
" Alu, are you sure you can deal with them alone?" Zen-kun had asked
" Yeah, I think. I just need to hold back enough so that my magicules won't leak outside of this mansion. After that, I can absorb them back from the surroundings." I assured him
" Okay. I'll be watching from the sidelines then."
I nodded. Yeah, that's how I ended up facing the Varia at full force. They were still a little angry about being pushed to the side in that fight, it seems.
" Are you really sure about this?" I ask again
" Voi! Quit asking that! We're all set!" Squalo-san yelled
I guess I have no choice... I won't be using Observer or Brandt though. I don't want Master's power to be shown too much in this world, after all. It's pretty much cheating skills, as he would call it. If I did use Observer, then this battle wouldn't be happening in the first place anyway. Though it is a perfect opportunity to test out my powers after evolution.
" Then shall we begin?" I ask
They didn't even wait for Zen-kun to declare the battle beginning... Well, it's Varia's style, so I'm not exactly surprised. I did have to avoid the parabolas and Squalo-san's shark since they started the battle so abruptly.
" Super Levi Volta!"
Using Flash Step, I hurriedly avoid the incoming lightning bolt attacks from the parabolas and electric ray.
" Quit moving about!" Levi-san shouted
" It won't be a battle if I don't!" I shouted back
I should probably save up some magicules... Maybe I can just slow down a little? No, it's Varia. Going easy on Varia would mean my defeat.
" Voi! Quit dodging, trash!" Squalo-san yelled
" ... Okay."
Since he asked for it, I guess it's a head-on confrontation. What to do about this... I know! Just generate enough magicules in my hand and...
" Alu! Stop, stop! What are you trying to do?!" Zen-kun tried to communicate to me
But too bad. I do want to try this one out.
" Mini Hell Flare."
I tossed the small black flames onto the incoming shark and electric ray box animals. The hell flare expanded and charred them enough to fully immobilize them.
" Wow... I can see why there was a need to hold back." I muttered
Maybe I should refrain using it from now on... Using it in this world might complicate things.
" What was that?!" Came the exclamation from Squalo-san
" A little test. You should probably recall them so that they can rest." I advised
Now they both have to withdraw a part of their attacks. Then up next is... Lussuria-san? He likes hand to hand combat, but I'm afraid of damaging this body and his own body.
" Hey, Zen-kun. Do you think the Master will be angry if I harm this body or Lussuria-san's body?" I communicated
" ... See what you deem fit. We have a reserve store of full potions." He communicated back
Then it's decided. Just as he swung a fist down, I had thrusted up my own fist to meet his. It was slightly coated with magicules to make the impact stronger so he naturally will recoil from the pain. But in succession, Bel-san's Mink climbed onto my arm and touched me with its flamed tail. I had to remove the coat I was wearing. I'll have to fix that later...
" Ushishishi. Looks like that attack will work." Bel-san said
Well, maybe, since I was caught off guard. I think I should use Magic Sense this time to get a wider vision of things around me. I also have to start dodging again because of Bel-san's knives and Mink. His wires are starting to scatter about because of the knives thrown onto the walls. I even see something sneaking about cloaked in illusion. I'll just release a little bit of my aura...
" Huh? Mink?"
Bel-san's Mink sensed my aura and scurried back to him. I'll just release a little more to reveal the hiding Mammon-san.
" My illusions..."
Finally... I can sigh in relief and reel my aura back in. Can't let too much leak out. It's harmful to humans if they're exposed to it for too long.
" That's some pressure." Squalo-san sighed
" He didn't even need to use a weapon!" Lussuria-san whined
I should use a weapon because of these wires. It's no use to keep up with this battle. Once Xanxus-san pulls out his guns, I'll have to defend myself. I got out the rapier and as expected, Xanxus-san is now aiming to fire at me. I had to quickly build up a wall to block his attack and destroy the wires surrounding me. Isn't this enough for them already...?
" Should we just stop now?" I ask
" Huh?!"
" We'll damage this entire training hall at this rate." I persuaded them
" No one's going until one side wins!" Squalo-san exclaimed
" I don't want to have to report damages to Master..." I muttered
They won't stop until they get what they want. I guess I have no choice... I'll just release a bit more aura than before to stop them. They did take on the aura for a few moments but they were quick to resign though I think I ticked Xanxus-san off a little...
" It's over." I declared
Zen-kun was sighing as he went to check on them while giving Lussuria-san a healing potion for his arm.
" Alu. You just had to release that much pressure. What if something bad happened?" Zen-kun was chiding me
" That's why I wanted them to stop before I did that, but they wouldn't listen." I pouted
" You really... Anyway, we'll just report this to the Masters. They should be busy, but they'll listen to us at least." Zen-kun said
" Okay..."
- Normal POV-
Aichi and Kai received that report from Alu and Zen a few minutes later while they were still going around town with the Quatre Knights.
" I see. It can't be helped. Just make sure everyone's feeling better and leave as soon as possible. I think Varia just wanted to test their own capabilities. Don't forget to make sure no magicules are leaking out again." Aichi communicated
" Yes."
" Then until next time..." Aichi communicated before cutting it off
He turned to Kai and nodded. Tasuku whined as he gripped Aichi's shirt.
" Are you hungry?" Aichi cooed
" Oh, it's hotpot for dinner so we'll be gathering in the town square. Don't be afraid to eat your fill. The food might seem weird but it's really good." Kai said
" Yes!"
" I'll go grab Tasuku's baby food from the kitchen, so just lead them over to the town square. I'll meet you there." Kai said, kissing Aichi's eyelid
" Okay."
Kai caressed Tasuku's hair a little before leaving to the kitchen. Aichi led the Knights over to the town square as the hotpot with the Knight Spider catch was being boiled in a giant pot. Once it was ready, it was handed to each citizens. Kai returned to Aichi and Tasuku with the baby food on hand.
" Sorry for the wait. How's the food?" Kai ask
" It's delicious."
Kai glanced at something, nodded and started feeding Tasuku his baby food.
" Liar..."
" Huh?"
" You didn't eat a single bite. I can tell that your bowl was never touched." Kai chided
" Well..."
" Don't worry about Tasuku. He may whine but you still need to eat without worrying about it." Kai said
" But he's hungry and if I eat, he might cry." Aichi said
" Oh, come on. It's just natural for a baby like him. You really need to stop worrying." Kai rebutted, rolling his eyes, " Now start eating. If you do, I'll let you feed him after you finish your food."
" Okay..."
After giving him another spoon of food, Tasuku immediately grabbed the spoon as Kai tried to gently wrench it out of his grip.
" Come on, let go. Tasuku." Kai called
Tasuku cooed out something that sounded like a 'no'.
" Tasuku."
" He's strong." Aichi noted
" He's been doing this with everything he sees nowadays..." Kai sighed
Another hand helped out in getting the spoon back from Tasuku. They looked up to see Rimuru.
" Rimuru-sama!"
" Yo. How's the food?" Rimuru ask
" It's great. Didn't think we'd have hotpot here." Aichi said
" Yeah. We've got much to do after this, so enjoy this dinner first." Rimuru said
" You mean that Youm accepted your offer?" Kai ask
" Yeah!"
" That's great!" Aichi exclaimed
" I'll be counting on Hakurou and some others to help him shape up into a great champion. I might count on you guys too if you guys aren't busy." Rimuru said before glancing over to Tasuku, " I think you already are though."
Kai was grumbling when Tasuku grabbed onto the spoon and isn't letting go of it again.
" Hey, stop that, you little-" Kai stopped himself, seeing Aichi's smile before turning back to Tasuku, " -baby..."
Rimuru sweat dropped and just shook his head.
" ... Oh yeah. If Tasuku's gonna be coming back and forth between both worlds, he should be getting the proper vaccinations, isn't he?" Rimuru ask
" Uh, yeah... We'll have Alu and Zen arrange that with Tasuku-kun's usual doctor." Aichi replied
" I see..."
Aichi quickly finished his dinner and took over in feeding Tasuku.
" Oh yeah, serious topic. How's the distortion world?" Rimuru ask
" Been the same as always. It's just the addition of my other self using units to fight. Seems like the range of activity in distortions vary." Kai explained
" And you guys don't want to interfere too much, thus why you're staying back for now." Rimuru said
" Yeah."
" You're a Shaman and all, Aichi. Have you not seen anything happening in the future?" Rimuru ask
" Not at all. It's as Kai-kun says, there's been the same activity happening in that world. Even with my powers as a Shaman, I still am not good at controlling when I see my visions." Aichi explained
" But it's pretty easy to realize that there's a change happening. The Naoki Ishida we know is returning after that encounter with my distorted self riding Blaster Blade." Kai said
" I see. Wait, 'riding'?" Rimuru raised an eyebrow
" It means that we take on the form of the unit. I believe you've seen it before when my distorted self rode Majesty Lord Blaster." Aichi said
" That's what it was? And it was supposed to be the card that can save him... It's now in his hands." Rimuru said
" Yeah."
" What will you do now?" Rimuru ask
" Hm... We can visit it again. There must be a great change going on there. If so, I wouldn't want to miss it. Alu and Zen can take care of Tasuku-kun for his vaccination and we'll be in that world." Aichi said
" The Knights will be training under Hakurou in the meantime to get used to their powers. We shouldn't be gone for too long, I hope." Kai said
" I see. Can I follow you guys again?" Rimuru ask
" You still have much to do about Youm-san and his champion title, don't you? And Milim-sama might whine this time if you leave again." Aichi warned
" I have a feeling you guys are planning on something. I want to see it too." Rimuru said
" ... Alright then. But this time is an exception. If we keep spoiling you like this, we wouldn't be able to refuse other requests from you." Kai sighed
" You're talking as if I'm a kid... Well, I'll see you guys tomorrow." Rimuru said
Both nodded as Rimuru left to find Youm and his comrades.
" Aichi-sama. Kai-sama. You won't be here tomorrow?" Gaillard ask
" Yeah, there's been a case in another world. We've been ignoring it for awhile, so we've decided to have a look at what's been going on there. Will training under Hakurou-san be enough for tomorrow? You guys still have to gain a skill here. I'm sure it'll manifest according to your desires. After that, we can begin training on those skills and talismans." Aichi explained
" Yes, sir. We'll try our best to live up to your expectations." Gaillard said
" Take it a little at a time. You don't have to rush things." Kai said
" Okay."
Aichi sent Alu and Zen a communication about what was going to happen tomorrow before they went back to what they were doing.
- The next day-
Aichi handed Tasuku over to Alu and Zen through the portal.
" He'll probably fuss immediately after the vaccination, so try your best to comfort him. And I'm serious when I say to make sure no one sees you this time." Aichi warned
" Of course, Master."
Aichi nodded and closed the portal before travelling with Kai and Rimuru to the distorted world.
" Hm? Looks like we came at either the perfect timing or a bad one." Rimuru said, putting on his mask
In front of them was Kourin with a bunch of units called out. She was standing against Kai (IF), Suiko, Shuka and another young boy.
" Isn't that Shingo-kun's little brother... Shinji-kun?" Aichi wondered
" You know him?" Kai ask
" I saw him once. I didn't think he'd get involved." Aichi said
" What should we do?" Rimuru ask
" ... Please stand back, Rimuru-sama. Let's not waste your strength on them. I'll do something about it." Aichi said
" Fine. But if you ever need help, then I'll jump straight in." Rimuru said
" Thank you."
" Do you want me to accompany you?" Kai ask
" Later."
Kai nodded as Aichi walked forward and finally arrived near them.
" What is the meaning of this, Kourin-san?" Aichi ask
" You're..."
" Ai!"
" It's been awhile. I think it's been a few days or weeks since we last met. Hope you've been well. Though, I wouldn't say so in this situation." Aichi said
" You show up now of all times?!" Shuka exclaimed
" I just so happened to come at the right time, I suppose. Where's Emi?" Aichi ask
" She's in the castle. And the moment she went over, Kourin..." Suiko said
" I see."
He looked over towards Kourin and her units, eyes narrowing.
" You should probably stand down, Kourin-san." Aichi said
" I am Yellow Typhoon! Not Kourin!" Kourin exclaimed
" Not that it matters. I just want you to stand down. Are you planning to enrage the one you're serving right now? I believe he must not want to harm Toshiki-kun, but here you are with those units." Aichi said
" Shut up, Outsider!"
" Not working, huh... Shuka-chan, take care of Shinji-kun. I'm sure Shingo-kun will be arriving soon." Aichi said
" ... Okay!"
" If you two want to stay there, then I don't mind. But just make sure to protect yourselves for a bit." Aichi warned Suiko and Kai (IF)
He then turned back to Kourin as he concentrated and activated his PSYqualia.
" Come, Percival."
At his call, Percival appeared in front of him.
" Realize?! And without a card!" Shuka gasped
" At your command." Percival bowed
" Can you defeat them for me?" Aichi ask
" Yes, sir."
Percival started fighting the units Kourin had summoned as she clicked her tongue.
" You're really an obstacle! Blond Ezel!" Kourin called
Blond Ezel appeared from a magic circle.
" Percival, will you be okay by yourself?" Aichi ask
" I believe so."
" You don't really have to push yourself. Then let's call your friend. Oath Liberator, Aglovale." Aichi called
Aglovale appeared from a Vanguard Circle and started fighting together with Percival.
" Wow!"
" Another unit appeared!" Kai (IF) exclaimed
" No way!" Kourin exclaimed
Blond Ezel and the other summoned units were defeated.
" Thank you, Percival, Aglovale." Aichi said
" No, it was perfect mastery for your part, Aichi-sama." Percival said
" You praise me too much. Go back and rest." Aichi said
" Yes, sir!"
As the two units disappeared, Aichi sighed.
" I guess this is how Rimuru-sama always feels when he gets praised for doing almost nothing, though he does deserve them sometimes..." Aichi muttered
A few moments later, Emi and Shingo came flying in on top of Magatsu Storm while Aichi (IF) floated towards them, wearing his outfit, glaring down at Kourin.
" Oh my, someone's angry." Aichi muttered
" I... I was doing this for you!" Kourin exclaimed, looking up at Aichi (IF)
" Toshiki-kun." Aichi communicated
Kai (IF) gasped as he looked around before his eyes landed on Aichi.
" I think I can leave him to you now. I'll just give both of you a slight push. Whatever you decide to do afterwards is up to you." Aichi communicated
With that thought, Aichi looked up.
" Why don't you come down and get rid of that ridiculous attire?" Aichi ask
" What?"
" You look like a sad king. Just remove that mask and outfit already. Don't hide behind it." Aichi continued
Aichi (IF) floated down and landed as he glared at Aichi.
" You're challenging me? In this world?" Aichi (IF) ask
" Not at all. After all, if I interrupt too much, it won't go well for either of us anyway." Aichi said
He then turned back to Shingo and Shinji.
" You both should leave. It'll be bad to involve Shinji-kun in this mess." Aichi said
" O-Okay!"
Shingo took Shinji away from there as Aichi sighed.
" Alright then. We will be talking face to face, with nothing in the way. That includes your attire." Aichi ordered
Almost immediately, Aichi's (IF) attire had disappeared and was replaced by his red turtleneck and blue jeans.
" What did you do?!" Aichi (IF) exclaimed
" I simply implemented a rule. Now we can finally talk properly, not with me though." Aichi said
He glanced back to Kai (IF) before stepping back for him to walk forward.
" For today, you'll be accompanying me, Aichi Sendou. We're not fighting or doing anything else related to it." Kai (IF) said
" What's the use of that?" Aichi (IF) ask
" For many reasons. I have questions and I want answers. So you're going out with me today." Kai (IF) said
" How dare you, Toshiki Kai!" Kourin exclaimed
" ... Go back, Kourin." Aichi (IF) ordered
" But..."
" Go!"
Kourin hesitated before finally nodding and disappearing back into Sanctuary.
" I want you guys to leave us alone too. No interruptions." Kai (IF) said
" Okay..."
" Shall we?"
" You lead the way." Aichi (IF) sighed
Kai (IF) nodded as they made their way towards a place.
