The Morning When Bonnie Didn't Understand Why A Bunch of Alolans were hanging out at her Penthouse. Clemont was having a ball with Sophocles.

Ash Ketchum.

Ash Ketchum was a good man. Well, he liked to believe he was. His mother raised him best to her abilities. His father had always guided him well. He always had unconditional love from his parents. He grew up with great friends, explored the world, had great social achievements. He was carefree, determined, talented, skilled, a good trainer who respected Pokémon on an entirely different level. He trained some of the most beautiful Pokémon in his life. He was Champion to three regions. He was a Frontier Brain for Kanto's Battle Frontier. He was humble.

Ash didn't get angry; he didn't get frustrated. He never lost his shit. He had endless patience when it came to tough, high-pressure situations. He tried his best. He was a quick thinker, looking for solutions to sudden problems. He was easy-going, laid back, curious, dense sometimes but really you could never get under his skin. Cool.

Except for Serena Yvonne.

If you were Serena Yvonne, you could set off Ash Ketchum in as little as 2 seconds. He didn't quite understand how the Kalosian beauty possessed such a rare talent. She seemed to have trained her whole life in ´Mastering the Art of Getting Under Ash's Skin.'

She just knew how to make him have tunnel vision. Side-line him. She was stubborn, never paid attention to him, feisty, sinful. The devil. She was the only person who infatuated Ash to the point he didn't know where the world began and ended. The only woman he truly noticed.

Ash wasn't a praying man, he believed in a higher being of Pokémon but he never followed in a religion. However, he felt Lunala was playing a sick game on him for never going temple as Serena always had a way of making him forget his shit and chase after her. She always had a way of making him miserable, annoyed. He wanted to put an end to this nonsense. From across a room, her glance had a way of disarming him. Coaxing him to make everything about her. She pulled him to her, gravitating, surrounding her. And she never paid him to heed! It always ended up with them fighting, insulting. Hating.

He really hated it when he thought so much.

He really couldn't prevent it.

He was currently in Serena's apartment, laying on his back, blanket partially covering his body as Serena was tangled around him. He woke up to the ceiling, feeling hot beyond belief. When he tried to move, he glanced down to see Serena resting her body on one half of Ash, her leg, thrown over his, her arms wrapped firmly around his chest. She had a contented look on her face as she burrowed her head into his shoulder.

Sunlight was streaming into the bedroom, illuminating the white room. Her plants were soaking up all the indirect sunlight. While the air conditioner hummed low in the background.

He took a deep breath realizing he wasn't going anywhere.

He thought about the previous day, he had left Kiawe, Sophocles, Lillie, Mallow and Lana in his apartment. Everyone was tired from exploring the vineyards Ash had invested in. He offered to get lunch since the girls weren't in the mood to prepare anything. Pikachu chose to stay back with Mallow and Lillie, wanting to spend time with Tsereena and Snowy.

He had just gotten to Java's and placed his order when he noticed the neighboring restaurant. He saw Serena, never missing her signature blonde locks and pink color on her body. He decided it was a perfect time to talk to her about where they stood with each other.

They had slept together; they had done more than that but Ash wanted a definition. He wasn't interested in playing Meowth and Pichu. He wanted status on their relationship and the only way to know was to talk to her.

He changed his order to have the restaurant deliver the food to his place before heading out. He was almost to the restaurant when he noticed the same guy from the party arrived. Bonnie's new friend, a singer he remembered.

They laughed, him fending off Serena's bickering, he placed a kiss on her hand. Ash lost his breath. He didn't understand this feeling. It was becoming familiar, he only other felt it the previous night when he saw Serena again with this man.

He saw the look the guy had in his eyes, he was entranced with Serena and like always, Serena was blissfully oblivious. Ash acted fast, he made a detour into the other restaurant next to the happy couple and sat a distance away. He observed. They laughed, bickered and ate. Ash was boiling. He saw she was comfortable. She was more comfortable with the singer than with him. He positively felt insecure. He knew comfort was essential to Serena, she loved her ease of mind and the singer could easily win her with that.

Ash noticed he had ripped apart the paper menu when he saw the singer trailing his hand on Serena's arm. He saw she was being affected. She went still, he saw she was enthralled with the singer. Luring her with an offer of some sort. The guy was playing hard and Ash hated he noticed all of this. Suddenly the guy stood up, bid his farewell before kissing her cheek. Ash saw red.

He wasn't going to lose her. He didn't fight so hard for her; he didn't put himself out there so much for her to be swept away so easily.

Today he was going to get an answer. If today, she didn't become his, he will throw her over his head (figurately) and move on with his life. He would leave Kalos. He didn't need to stick around; it was a home away from home. One thing he knew was, if Serena denied him, he would disappear. He couldn't go on like this. He was not going to fight for someone who didn't want him, or someone who didn't even try to want him.

He noticed her finishing up her drink before adorning her scarf and leaving the restaurant. He stayed close, not really caring if she saw him. She could approach him if she did. They made it to her apartment. She sped up, going to the elevator, he waited around the corner, waiting to trap her. If someone else was to be in the elevator, he would go up the stairs. As the elevator was about to close, he caught the door, forcing it open and forcing himself into the small space. He saw her startle, a small gasp leaving her. He caged her in. They argued of course, he couldn't help it. She didn't understand she was his. She was made for him. He loved her.

He loved her.

Ash realized he did. He didn't know how he was going to move on from her. Could he love again if Serena didn't want him? If he put himself on the line once and for all, would she destroy him or treasure him?

He demanded she understood she was his. She got pissed, of course, she did. This was Serena after all and it was never easy to get a clear answer from her.

She put him in place, telling him she could do as she pleased, but she added in that stupid, annoying, hot "Mr. Ketchum" and Ash lost his shit. He boiled over and was trying hard to keep his emotions in check but that was never the case when it came to Serena.

They fought each other in the elevator before transitioning to her hall and then her living room. It was frenzied until it wasn't. In her bedroom, Ash was wild, he was tired and he just wanted her. He wanted to be assured. He saw with a clarity he had no reason to be insecure with her. She was with him at the moment. She didn't go with the singer to his place. She was with Ash, touching him, being with him, holding him.

He wanted to make her his, however. When the moment boiled over once again, he asked. He asked her and she couldn't answer. He asked again, a bit more forceful, angry she was playing with him.

Finally, his heart broke. He realized; it would never be more than this. Angry sex, Meowth and Pichu.

Constant heartache. Her never giving him an answer. He felt weak. He felt dejected and he couldn't do this.

He pulled away from her and sat back. Thinking quick on how to get out of her room. She was on him instantly though.

She begged she pleaded. She kissed him. She touched him. She was moving frantic, the opposite of how she was. She shook him, forcing him to look at her. He waited, she would move, she would move away, she would give up like she always did.

He moved away from her.

She didn't. She was close to tears. Her pleading becoming more insistent. He saw her eyes, she was cracking. She was destroying her walls. He saw his window.

He took her, set her but didn't go in. He asked again, low and firm.

She agreed. She finally agreed. No hesitation. No regret and she told him to make her his. That was exactly what he did. He did so, over and over. Listening to her edge him on. Begging him. Wanting him, she didn't care. She was his. He knew it.

The climax was intense. Strongest Ash ever felt. It was different with her. Everything was different with her. He felt different. Only with her.

He laid there, catching his breath. He hadn't felt winded in a long time. He was normally in really good shape. He saw the time; they had been at it for a few hours. He couldn't believe it.

He felt exhausted, he heard Serena trying to calm her breathing, small sounds as she figured out her life. He felt himself being pulled under. He closed his eyes, sleep carrying him to heal his body.

The last thing he saw barely was Serena lacing her fingers with his.

He shook his head, coming back to reality. He saw her room again, he spooned her, taking in her scent as she rustled awake.

Ten minutes since Professor Sycamore Realized Serena would be late.

Serena was comfy. Blissfully. Her body felt amazing. Rested, sated and satisfied. She continued to hug her warm pillow. She felt herself giggle a bit, something tickling her lower back. She stretched a bit, her legs felt like jelly. She turned over, her back lining with the warm pillow. She felt the pillow hug her back. Exhaling in content. She cracked open her eyes, turning slightly to see Ash. It was the next morning and Serena realized she slept the whole night.

The previous day came back. She told Ash she was his. Ash made her his. She laid in the bed, watching her room, allowing Ash to hug her body tightly.

Shit, she felt so comfortable. Her head was calm. She was calm. He made her feel like the whole world was right.

She felt a hand rubbing her waist gently, coaxing her. She turned over to see Ash staring at her. She turned around, facing him. Sinking low into the bed. She placed her hands on his chest, looking at him. He leaned down, going to kiss her. She stopped him.

"I didn't brush my teeth." She said quietly." He rolled his eyes, grabbing her and planting one on her lips. She protested him but he won, she opened her mouth and tasted him. She felt herself opening herself. He got between her legs, showing her how much he needed her. He got her ready before he slipped in and she was in pleasure once more.

It was slow, lazy, a different kind of pleasure. She hardly moved, just feeling him. She still was slightly sleepy but she didn't care. She pulled one of her leg up, allowing him to rest on her. They grinded on each other. He sucked her neck, marking her. He made the hickey from last night darker. It was stinging her. She dragged her nails down his back. She didn't understand why she wasn't getting enough of him. It was like they couldn't stop.

"Arceus, I want you so much." He muttered to her. Grabbing her leg and hitching it around him, adjusting their bodies as they got comfortable.

"Fuck, you're mine." He continued. "Only I get to have you." She moaned loudly. Opening her body more to him.

"Yes, baby." She said. "Don't stop." "All yours." "No one else's" She would gasp to him.

They continued for a few moments. Finally, their peak arrived, sating them and curbing their want and need for each other for the time being.

After a few moments to catch their breath, Serena sat up.

She saw the time and realized she was late to go by Professor Sycamore.

She got off the bed before leaning over towards him, getting Ash's attention.

"I have to take a shower." She told him. "I have to go by the lab." Ash only nodded, too entranced with her breast, watching the dark hickeys on both of them.

"Care to join me?" She asked, just as she reached the bathroom door. Ash was by her side instantly, making her laugh. After their shower (which was all they did) they got dress, Ash unashamed in his previous wear. They were ravenous and had some bread with spread, eating in silence.

As they arrived downstairs, Serena's car waiting for her, she turned to him.

"Come back tonight." She said, a small blush spreading on her face. "Please."

"Definitely." He agreed before grasping her chin, placing a chaste kiss to her lips. With that, he was gone, walking down the street to wherever he had to go.

She exhaled.

She was in deep shit.

Half Hour Since the Alolans Were Confused to See Ash Strolling into His Apartment, Whistling and Excitedly Telling Them About the Exhibition Match He Had with Diantha Once Again.

Ash was in his room, putting on fresh wear of clothes. Pikachu and Umbreon were playing on his bed, excited to see a battle. His Snorlax was sitting in the corner, meditating on his next meal. He was smiling serenely at his master.

Lillie strolled into his room, Snowy hot on her feet, making her way to where Snorlax sat resting.

"So," she asked, getting Ash's attention. "We haven't seen you properly since Clemont's party." She smirked, petting Umbreon gently.

He laughed. "That's not true and you know it, Lillie." He continued to fix his fingerless gloves. "Why did you really come to seek me out."

Lillie blushed. "Well, you could bring her around to meet us you know?" She played with her long white, platinum hair. "We're not that bad." She huffed indignantly. Ash shook his head, highly amused.

"Even if that were true," (they were that bad) Ash snorted "Serena and I are in a place where I don't have words to describe it. But I know she isn't ready to be slaughtered by you all." He pulled on his black t-shirt. "Plus, I wouldn't want you guys to be like that with her. She's nice. Well, to everyone I know, she's the kindest person." He shook his head, his mind going far. "She's special and I don't want anyone to make her uncomfortable." Lillie nodded.

"Ash, she's so pretty," Lillie whined.

"Be careful." He told her, "Mallow might overhear and you would have to deal with that." Lillie scoffed.

"Mallow knows I belong to her." She continued. "I still can't get over how beautiful she looked; she was effortlessly like that. I couldn't tear my eyes away from her. For 5 mins straight I just ogled her before I made myself known. Mallow couldn't believe it either." Ash could only nod, continuing to get dress. The had a few moments of relaxed silence. Lillie watching Ash as he went around his room, retrieving items. "She definitely got me worked up."

"She's more than a pretty face, you know Lillie?" He said after a few moments. "She's kind, a bit confusing, soft, delicate. But, she's stubborn, determined, strong, ambitious like me and just…"

"You love her." She asked. He glanced at her. He nodded. Lillie was quiet for a moment.

"Do you think she would be upset about us?" Lillie asked. Ash gave her a look. "Our situation?"

"If I know Serena, it might if she doesn't understand but I made this decision before Serena and I were together. She would understand." He finished getting dressed, looking for his hat. Pikachu had it.

Lillie became silent.

"I see you love her. But, I'm selfish. I hope what we are doing doesn't make Serena against us. I can't lose you." She said. She took the hat from Pikachu before strolling up to him. He bent his head, allowing her to reach up and place it on his head.

"Lillie. I told you since Alola to not worry." He returned Snorlax, "We have a match to get to. Come on you guys." He stated to everyone before walking out.

Lillie looked worried.

Five hours since Diantha had to shop with Ash for house plants. The Champion hated bug Pokémon.

Serena bid farewell at Professor Sycamore's lab and her Pokémon. They were at a weeklong retreat for the Pokémon to enjoy some realistic habitat type reconciliation. She missed them terribly but thankfully she was allowed to see them. She said her goodbyes before going for a quiet dinner for herself.

The weekend was such a chaotic affair that she was still processing. She sat in Java's munching on some bread as she waited for her entrée.

Ash. She was his.

He didn't take no for an answer. But she couldn't agree to be involved with him. She made a colossal mistake. She couldn't believe she broke. She had to explain to him. She couldn't sleep with him again. It made her stupid. She forgot her resolve. She forgot she had to keep her wall out. No one could know she was involved with him. Not even her friends.

She had to sacrifice her happiness.

Ash wouldn't understand. He didn't deserve to get involved in her mess.

She could fall for him. No. she shook her head. She would not play with those thoughts. She told him in that club a few months ago it would be a mistake to love her. She couldn't love him.

She was his. She wanted him.

Palermo couldn't find out.

Ash. She had to protect him. He was that ray of sunshine that refused to die. No matter how many times Serena tried to get rid of him. He just found a way through her cracks.

Her entrée arrived and she ate quietly. Her phone had dozens of messages from Miette, Abel, Bonnie, and Clemont. She didn't respond but she did check to ensure it wasn't urgent.

Serena thought about her contract.

It stated she wasn't allowed to be in a romantic relationship with someone who wasn't approved by Palermo's agency. The mega producer's aim was to control Serena. Serena wasn't made aware of this until a few recent months ago when she ended her relationship with Calem.

She realized Palermo had only set up dates with Calem because he knew of the contract and wanted eye candy on his arm. He was a bastard and Serena hated him to the core.

She had tried to go against the agency when she wanted to be with Siebold but, Palermo had destroyed his career. She wasn't sure how but all she knew was that he no longer was in the elite position for Kalos and didn't live in this region. Last she heard of him; he was in Unova.

A real exile if you thought of it.

Ash had so much going on for him. She couldn't be responsible for him losing everything he worked hard for.

Serena had made the choice to join Palermo in a moment of anger and hate. She was desperate to prove Ash wrong about being dependant on her family and not having a purpose that she made bad decisions and got her life tangled in litigation hell.

She was angry at him for pushing her there but along the year she realized she had no one to blame but herself. She was hasty and immature at the time.

She realized in the moment, she kept Ash away from her because she couldn't bear the thought of going through hell to only have him come back for her, harder and make everything seem as if it was never a problem.

She couldn't declare to the public as well she was involved with him. Palermo would find out and destroy him legally. She would also destroy Serena. Serena was trying already to ruin her contract by gaining weight. Proving her breach in the contract but it would be a litigation nightmare if Palermo came back at her with the socializing clause.

It was complicated.

She was angry with herself. She realized the reason she kept Ash away all these years was that she couldn't take the risk. He had this way of spinning her life out of control and she wasn't sure how to fix it.

She lurked, she stared, she haunted him. She was obsessed with him. He was an unattainable man. He was that person she knew would change her life.

Her soulmate.

She had to be mean, she had to hate him. Because she knew she would love him.

She took a deep breath. She had finished her entrée. She hadn't noticed small tears had made their way down her rosy cheeks.

She was a hot mess, and she didn't even realize it.

She saw the time. She had a feeling he was waiting for her.

She paid her bill and left the restaurant.

She took in the night. Kalos was in autumn, the night coming faster and darker. The night was clean, fresh and peaceful. Her legs felt heavy as she came closer to her apartment. She didn't know what to do.

Serena felt like she was fed up with running. She always ran from her problems. She ran when she didn't want to follow in her mother's career.

She ran away from Ash that night in Snowbelle. She ran away from Palermo and now, she was running from Ash again.

But he had caught her. He had made her understand she was his. She couldn't fight him. She didn't want to lose him. Lose what they had. She hated that her life didn't need to be complicated but her choices had her too.

She finally bent her corner and she wasn't taken aback.

He was waiting.

Leaning against his SUV, chatting animatedly with Koury. Looking like he was being chastised by the older gentleman.

He turned his head as if sensing her. A smile radiated over his face. He gave Koury his farewell before following her into the building.

Again, she felt like she was running from him.

She was walking, twirling around, seeing him glide behind her. Hands in his suit. Why was he wearing a suit? He looked dangerous, hands in pocket, watching her with a coy expression. Letting her play with him.

She smiled wickedly at him. Glancing at him with her darkened eyes. Twirling a piece of hair in her finger.

She continued her trek. Her black dress was enticing him. Tight and loose. Showing her new curves in just the right space. Some skin exposed but teasing with exposed mesh around her. Flaring out to make her look pretty.

He remained cool, playing the game, staying a few steps behind her, watching her performance. Their silent eye contact spoke volumes. He tried to touch her. She dodged his hand, twisting away as he placed his hand back in his pocket.

He looked sinful, dark, black suit, white inner shirt, starched straight and crisp. She could only drink him in.

She understood she was forgetting her previous inhibitions. She was being sucked back into the vortex of him and her. Each step they played towards her door, she was forgetting her problems, worries, her fears and her sense of what was wrong and what was right.

He was right.

He would always be her right decision.

They arrived to her door. Her leaning against it. Him coming closer, and closer to her. He stood in front of her. He caught a loose tendril from her waves, delicately tucking it behind her ear.

He leaned closer, his face millimeters away from hers. Teasing one of the straps to her dress.

"Let's go inside." He asked. His hand trailing along her waist and hip. She agreed before unlocking and entering her apartment.

She headed straight to her living room, resting her bags and keys, she felt her hand caught. Ash pulled her down towards him, situating her on his lap.

He saw her eyes were at war. She was always in a war when she was around him. He hated that.

He wanted her but he couldn't have her because she didn't allow herself to enjoy their union.

His hand grazed her smooth exposed legs, drinking in the sinful creature on him.

They were each other's sin, and neither one was looking for redemption.

Same time Serena and Ash were playing Meowth and Pichu. Who was Meowth and who was Pichu?

Clemont never understood the fairer sex. They seemed to like you and hate you at the same time. Love had not graced him in his life. He had Miette but he wasn't sure she was the woman he could hand his life to.

He was shy. He was cute. He was well endowed and humble.

Never mind.

He also understood the fairer sex. Well…

He liked to think he did.

Miette was special to him. But did his heart call for her. He wasn't sure.

He didn't know if he would ever get the feeling of being consumed by a person. If he could open himself. He was successful at best. He loved his sister as if she was his own, raising her on his own. He really didn't want for anything.

But still, love. Was it truly filled with a madness that he could focus his whole world on that person? Or was love just an overplayed out fiscal storyline movies capitalized on?

He didn't think he was in love with Miette, because he wouldn't question it. He was questioning it.

Was it lust? Lust tried its hardest to take the place of love. Lust tried to sabotage love many times.

Hence, he wondered if he was in lust.

He sat in his living room, drinking a scotch as he listened to Bonnie play her baby grand. She was thinking. She only played it when she was thinking hard. The motions of the piano allowed her to focus while her brain went haywire.

It resulted in such beautiful composition, Clemont would stop his work and just listen to her. It was beautiful.

The lemon siblings were wondering what was going on. Both Ash and Serena had been very missing in action for the past few weeks, especially the past weekend.

The Alolan crew was wiped out, having exhilarated themselves at seeing Ash fight a ferocious battle between his Snorlax and Diantha's Auroras. The crew had a delicious dinner with Ash at Jessie and James' restaurant in the company of Clemont and Bonnie before begging for rest.

Ash was caught by Bonnie leaving a few moments ago, he didn't answer her. Simply, he placed a kiss on her forehead before hauling ass out the building. Koury hot on his ass to take his SUV instead of walking like he did the previous day.

But, yes. Love was playing in Clemont's mind. He could say he loved his sister ( a fond smile came to his face.) He could say he loved his company and his tech he envisioned and built. He could humbly he loved himself, for he didn't desire to have a plaything on his arm just to feel validated.

He loved his best friends, Ash and Serena. Whom, he could see blossoming into something beautiful and tender. Add their passionate personalities towards each other and you really had a cooking pot.

He wondered what he could do to figure out his problems.

"Clemont," Bonnie called him slowly. Her eyes opening slowly as she focused on him.

He glanced at her giving nod and a 'hmm'

"I think Serena is in some trouble." He quirked an eyebrow.

He took a sip of scotch. "How so?"

"I have a theory, but you have to trust me." She simply answered. She continued to play her song, ending the conversation that barely started.

He resumed his drink. He had a feeling as well.

Call him curious.

A Few Moments Since Jigglypuff Began to Sing to A Piano at A Tower.

Rum.

The seduction of spirits. The easy-going part of the Caribbean. The elixir of fun and solitude.

Rum was sweet. Rum was tantalizing. Its amber liquid coaxed individuals to live a bit differently.

It was seductive. Seduction tumbled over a glass of fresh, solid ice. Going smooth down one's throat.

This was what Serena realized as she took a light sip of her rum on the rocks. She had kicked off her heels, her legs folded under her, her arm resting on Ash's shoulder. He sat at the end of her sofa, drinking his own glass, the first few buttons of his shirt open. He had a thoughtful expression, his hand firmly on Serena's thigh. They weren't looking at each other.

Instead, they admired their glasses, a fire roared in her chimney, deep in thought. The apartment was dark, the fire the only source of lights as well as a few candles Serena had lit. Her dress was puffy, tickling his sides. He was staring into the night, seeing the peaks of stars throughout her window. The crackling of the wood was the only sound between them. Calming them.

She admired her rug, wondering why she chose such a weird pattern in Johto.

She heard him sigh, his hand gripping her thigh now before releasing it.

He took another sip of his rum, trying to relax his body. His day was packed. It was busy. He had a worrying moment where he thought he wouldn't make it back to her. He reflected that despite so many things he had to do, had to accomplish, he was fine for the time to sit here, stare at nothing while being in her presence.

She continued her game, not talking, trying hard to avoid him, but her body refused. He saw she gravitated to him, she sat right next to him, her hand had braced him. She gave him a soft kiss on his lips when she handed the rum to him.

The game was changing and he was curious. He was giving her space. He wasn't going anywhere. She was not going to throw him out of the loop.

Her neck twisted, her eyes falling on him.

She blinked slowly, edging closer to his body. Slowly, she turned her body, facing him now. His eyes flickered around the apartment before finishing his drink. Setting the tumbler on her table next to the couch, giving her his attention.

Her hand found its way to his suit jacket. Clasping the starchiness of his jacket, she trailed to the inside of his chest, feeling his chest, the warmth, the skin, the heat. Her body shuddered. His face remained expressionless. Never giving away how affected he was by her touch.

She was aiming to devour him once again but she pulled back, catching herself again.

She turned around behind her, grabbing the rum bottle again.

"Again?" She asked. He smirked, not looking at her before bringing his glass in acceptance. She poured.

Some time passed, more sips, fewer words. More acting.

Ash was midday through his second drink before he spoke again.

"Alola is a beautiful island." He said, his eyes chancing at her. She halted her drink, perking up, listening. "I had an amazing year in Alola."

"Oh?" She responded.

"It was a couple of weeks after Snowbelle, right after I battled Kalos." He cleared his throat. "I needed a change. Initially, I wanted to spend some time at Pallet Town, but Mom had won some tickets and she took me." Serena turned, facing him, enraptured by him speaking to her.

"I met a Professor, he took me under his wing, told me I had a lifetime of experience but lacked knowledge and wisdom. So, he brought me to the Pokémon school."

"You studied?" Serena said, taken aback. She didn't expect that. Ash laughed, his belly flipping a bit as he rubbed her thigh to relax her.

"Yes, I did. It was what I needed. It gave me the logic to things while also showing me a direction to being easy-going and relaxed. In a sense, it taught me how to gain control of the out of control. Am I making sense?" He smiled at her.

She cracked a smile before nodding.

"How was your school?" she asked, coaxing him to take his jacket off and cover herself with it. Her legs were cold.

"It was an experience, to say the least, but so fun. Youth was definitely a happy place for me." He continued about the Pokémon variants but Serena felt her stomach dropped. Her youth was happy until she had left, and then her immaturity had led her to many bad decisions.

She had to resolve her feelings. She couldn't be angry that Ash had the dream. His choices and mind frame led him to such happy and caring people. He succeeded because he was positive and strong-minded. He didn't focus on the past nor did he blame others. His failures were his own and he learned and built himself over it.

She couldn't be sour. If fact she could feel envious. She and Ash had succeeded in their careers, she was actually quite successful but it was the appreciation she lacked. He had his on the basis of happiness. His drive was positive. While hers was of being overworked and hatred.

She desired to build over herself but in a state of peace and acceptance.

She took another sip of her rum, listening to him as he spoke of grand trials and Totem Pokémon. She was in Hoenn. Him in Alola. It was three years after that when they saw each other again. Back in Kalos,

She had to attend a function with Palermo, by that time she had already lost a tremendous amount of weight. She was Kalos Queen and she had seen him.

Similar to tonight, he had on a suit. Looking gorgeous. Looking like a man she wanted. However, she had hated, assuming he had hated her as well. By chance, they stumbled upon each other and in the moment of anxiety, hate, the unknow, she spoke angrily to him. He didn't understand. He appeared unaffected but she knew he was. He tried to make amends, sugar coating her, but she ignored.

She walked away from him. Not knowing how in tangled their lives would be from that point.

"Serena." An echo called.

"Serena." The voice stated firmly. She came back, she focused on the fire, her glass dripping in her hand. Ash was staring at her. She glanced at him.

"Hmm." She responded softly. He gave her a look, taking the glass out of her hand, he pulled her up. Silently, he led her to her room.

Turning on her lights, he came back to her, she leaned against the door.

"It's late." He told her softly. "I think you should sleep." She stared at him.

"Good night." He said to her, he turned to walk away before going back and embracing her body. He didn't know what bothered her. He wanted to know, surely this couldn't have been Snowbelle alone. He needed her to let him in. He had to wait. He let her go before heading out of the apartment.

He arrived at his car, pulling out his keys. It was breezy in the late night of Lumiose. Very rough and quiet of humans and Pokémon. Nature was talking now; the city was sleeping and it showed.

He had just managed to press the key when he heard something behind him.

"Ash!" She called, her dress blowing wildly, hair tangling with the dance of the wind. "Stay with me." She said loudly. It was the loudest she ever spoke to him. (when they weren't arguing) "Please."

His hair blew around him, tickling his face. His face was one of surprise.

"Serena." He responded, "You should-"

"Don't tell me what I should!" she said loudly. "Come back to my apartment. It's late." She came up to him, he now realized she was barefoot. She grabbed his white button-down, hair still blowing in their faces. She lunged herself before wrapping her legs around his waist, Ash barely keeping upright.

He stared at her, she to him before she burrowed her head in the shoulder. He pressed his key, locking the SUV once more before heading inside. She slid down once in the elevator, not removing herself, just embracing him.

Back at her apartment, they got ready for bed, showers and dressed. They slid in together before the world left them. Sleep came kind and deep, each holding on, never apart.
