Pepper pointed at one of the cupboards. Both women watched as he opened up a can of tuna and dumped it into a bowl.
Ali, also watching very closely, meowed loudly until he placed the bowl on the kitchen floor, off to the side and out of the way of passing feet.
"Sergeant, are you a nuts man?" Pepper asked suddenly.
Bucky, in the midst of drinking some very expensive-tasting white grape juice from the refrigerator, choked. After a minute of some serious coughing, he wheezed, "Excuse me?"
"Nuts," Pepper said.
"Do you like nuts in your fudge?" Nat clarified.
