This is third in the series, following An Uncertain Future and Healing. The guys are on their way back to NY. Although the bounty on Bucky's head has been cancelled, he's still wanted by most law enforcement agencies on the planet. Steve is committed to bringing Bucky in from the cold. Bucky just knows that he needs to stop killing, whatever the cost to himself.

66. Chapter 66

Finished at last, Bucky closed the laptop, and nudged Steve awake.

"I'm done."

Steve yawned and blinked up at him sleepily. "Done with what?"

"I stole thirty million dollars of Hydra's money and gave it away."

Steve's jaw dropped and he sat up, wide awake now. "You what?"

"I stole thirty million dollars of Hydra's money and gave it away," Bucky repeated patiently. "I was going for all of it, but they locked me out halfway through."

"Bucky…" Steve looked at his friend with awed respect. "Who did you give it to?"

"Lots of people, charities." Bucky shrugged. "You know."
