The rest of April went by pretty quickly as season nine of Glee came to a closing and everyone was pumped as always for the big season wrap party they always had before the summer hiatus. Ryan always put together fabulous parties which included absolutely everyone who makes Glee possible. The cast, crew, choreographers, dancers, production team, writers, network executives, security and lot workers, and all the people who make the show possible we're going to be in attendance. These parties are always a big deal and a ton of fun for everyone and give them all a chance to celebrate another fantastic season and accomplishment as a group. For Becca, Melissa and Darren, it would be their first wrap party like this.
This was also the first party that Sophia was coming to. She had practically begged Naya and Heather to allow her to come and since their family was in town they agreed that if the girls wanted someone to come to get her when she got tired they could. Heather and Naya had talked it in the bath, of course, a week prior and decided that she could come. Sophia was always such a well-behaved little girl so as long as she did her chores and behaved like a good little girl all week, they saw no reason why she couldn't tag along. Sophia was beyond excited and thrilled to be part of this. She knew nearly all of these people except for maybe the executives and people she never saw around set regularly.
As expected, the second that Chris found out his little fashionista was coming, he practically burned rubber flying over to their house to take Sophia shopping. Sophia was so excited and nearly tripped over her own feet to get out the door when her uncle Kurtsy showed up. Shopping and a party? Sophia's world couldn't be any better.
That Afternoon, Chris and Sophia came back with a gorgeous flowy light blue colored dress that had spaghetti straps but a very high neckline that came across the top of her collarbone. The dress was a chiffon material that flowed gorgeously and it was floor length but Chris was going to take it and hem the bottom so it was still long but wouldn't touch the floor and make her trip. For him, that was the easiest of alterations and he's had to do that with several of her fancy outfits because she was such a tiny girl for her age and often things were too long on her. Chris also said he was going to make custom panty cover shorts in the same colorway for modesty. Little girls often didn't always know how to sit properly wearing dresses, or when she danced he didn't need the flowy fabric rising and showing too much. Chris was extremely protective of Sophia. Heather and Sophia admired their little girl when she tried it on because she looked like she was on her way to prom. Naya may have cried but that were aren't going to talk about that...
The day of the party was here and everyone was giddy and excited about the evening. This was always such a blast because they got to hang out with all of their friends, plus they got to see a bunch of people that they never were able to see too often unless it was a rare day that they visited the set. They had such a great group of people that worked on this show was it was like a family reunion.
Niles came over who was Heather and Naya's hairstylist and makeup artist outside of Glee that did events and different appearance looks for them and he agreed to come over and help the three girls with their hair and makeup for the evening.
"Mhmm, you already look beautiful," Heather mumbled as she walked into the bathroom where Naya was wrapped in a towel. Heather closed the door behind her and Naya removed the towel around her body so she could towel dry her gorgeous long hair. Heather was practically drooling over her naked body and stopped Naya's motions and walked up behind her and they looked at each other through the rectangle framed mirror over the sink. Naya looked at her wife from the reflection and quirked her brow.
"Baby, really? My hair is a complete disaster, I have no makeup, and my stomach is all bruised from the hormones" Naya says and Heather looks at her wife and kisses her shoulder before placing her hands gently and flatly over her flat belly.
Oh, that's another thing that's happened in the last couple of weeks! Heather and Naya had made an appointment to talk everything over with Dr. Laine and Anne once again about the process of getting pregnant again. They still had their combined eggs frozen from the last time at the fertility clinic. Dr. Laine had given Naya an exam to make sure there was no underlying damage from the accident but she didn't see anything that was cause for concern. She gave the couple the all-clear to start the process of trying once again and sent the girls home with the hormone shots that Naya would have to go every morning and evening for two weeks to help her body prepare for the insemination. After two weeks of taking the hormones, Dr. Laine would check to see if Naya was ready, if she was they would start implantation, if not she would go through another two weeks of injections to make sure her levels were at the place they needed them to be to safely carry a child. The process was so extensive, that despite having been down this road before, they almost forgot the emotional toll it takes on both your body physically and emotionally.
"Naya," Heather said while she gently turned her wife around and cupped both of her cheeks. "This is how I love you most, just you and nothing else. I fell in love with you, for exactly who and what you are. The most beautiful woman in the world." Heather said before taking a step back and peeking down at her flat stomach which was covered in bruises. Unfortunately, you couldn't stick yourself in the same place every time, and each time twice a day you had to find a new spot so by the end of the two weeks your stomach was covered in black and blue bruises. "These marks make me fall in love with you all over again because of the sacrifices you and your body are making for our family. You are a damn wonder woman, my love and I love you so much." Heather says as kisses her wife's lips, neck, breasts, and stomach before rising back up slowly to look in those chocolate brown eyes. "I am going to go get my clothes on before Niles arrives. Someone has to answer the door and it sure as hell won't be you when you look like that. Niles is gay but if anyone could turn him, it would be you..." Heather said and Naya playfully hit her shoulder.
"Oh perfect! Now we will have matching bruises!" Heather said rubbing her shoulder teasingly and Naya just laughed at her.
"I'll chase you with a needle if I have to now get going!" Naya scolded and Heather's eye's widened and she swung around the doorframe and got the hell out of there. Naya just turned back towards the mirror and laughed while shaking her head. She glanced down at her stomach and looked at all the reminders of the pokes she had to do twenty-eight times before her levels would be checked again and who knows it still might not be enough. You would think that by now Naya would be okay with needles but she still breathed hard and cringed every single time. She's given birth, naturally, may I remind you but the little poke of a needle was still cringeworthy, the mind was a cruel playground of emotions I tell ya.
Niles had arrived about forty-five minutes later and started work on Heather's hair since she was just having him straighten her hair and put it back into a sleek ponytail. Heather was wearing black faux leather skinny pants with sleek black sneakers and a white drape neck blouse that she tucked into her pants. The neckline was much like Sophia's in that it came up pretty high so very little of her chest was showing. It was a lower neckline than Sophia's but no cleavage was showing. Heather opted for simple clear stud earrings that were small and dainty. She wasn't huge on jewelry but she always loved to wear her bar necklace with her girls' names on them.
"Party of the year, huh, Heath?" Niles says with a smile as he straightens the last section of her hair. Heather puts her phone down and smiles at Niles through the mirror.
"For us Glee crew it sure is. It's a pretty fun time." Heather replies just as Naya walks into the room and Heather's jaw instantly hits the floor. "Holy shit." Heather breathes and audibly gulps making Niles laugh. This man styled Naya for nearly every public event so he knew she was a beauty, of course, Heather did as well but my god, every single time it still took Heather's breath away.
Naya was standing in the dining room where they had set up the hair and makeup station since it would be way too crowded in the bathroom. This way Niles could have everything laid out across the island and have room to work.
Naya was wearing a fitted white dress with lace cutout detailing on the sides of her torso. The dress was sleeveless and hit her right above the knee but had wider two-inch straps. Every curve of her body showed in that dress and Naya looked like a sculpture, like a work of art. She had on a pair of light blue pumps that matched her daughter's dress and also stuck with a simple but larger pair of clear stud earrings and her bar necklace with her wife and daughter's name on it.
"Naya fucking Rivera, holy..." Heather said looking as if she was about to have a stroke and Niles shook his head.
"She never gets used to this does she?" Niles commented and Naya takes her eyes off and smirks at the man.
"It appears not...baby." Naya shakes her head smiling at the stylist before calling her wife's name quietly as she just stares at Naya's body. "Baby!" Naya says louder and startles Heather out of her daydream that was getting pretty sexy in her mind. Naya shakes her head and laughs at Heather's startled reaction.
"What?!" Heather says looking around. Naya and Niles look at each other and shake their heads.
"You were staring Hemo... but great job and making it seem less obvious. Nailed it." Niles teases and Heather scowls. She knows she can't hide her gawking for shit but have you seen her wife. Lord.
"Does the staring mean it's good or bad, you still haven't formed a complete sentence yet, baby?" Naya giggles and walks around Heather's barstool as Niles finishes her hair and puts the straightener down on the counter. Naya leans over and places a kiss on her wife's lips. Heather hums into the kiss making Naya smile.
"Yeah...yeah...hot...Jesus... pretty... " Heather says erratically and choppy making Naya burst out laughing. I mean her hair and makeup weren't even done and she got this reaction. I would call that a win!
Naya smiles before leaning back and watching as he starts gathering and sleeping her hair back in a ponytail. Miles takes a section of hair wrapping it around the band to hide it and make it sleek and polished before adding a spritz of hairspray and kissing his fingers at his work of art. Heather was barely wearing any makeup because she hated it so he just put on a little foundation to even out her skin, a little blush for color, and some gloss.
Heather high-fives the genius and hops off the chair. Naya slides her pumps off since she had no reason to wear them yet other than to show off her outfit. Heather lifts Naya bridal style and sets her on the higher barstool.
"Still chivalrous as ever Hemo..." Niles smirked and Heather looked over at him.
"Of course I am, she's my girl," Heather said proudly making Naya blush.
"Keep up the sweet talk Hemo, and I won't even have to put any blush on this gal." Niles laughs and Naya glares.
"Ethnic people don't blush!" Naya shrieks.
"Okay, honey..." Heather says drinking her glass of water Naya aims her scowl at her wife now who's clearly mocking her.
"Mmihycescrup? (mami why is your face all scrunched up)" Sophia mumbles inaudibly as she stumbles into the kitchen carrying her blankie and bunny.
"Because Niles was teasing mami that she doesn't need any pink makeup on her cheeks since she's already blushing. Mami thinks we're teasing her." Heather smiles and leans down to pick up the little girl who's reaching up for her. Sophia instantly cuddles into her momma.
"Oh. Mami it's okay that you are already pink. Your still beautiful." Sophia smiled and Naya finally had to admit she had rosy cheeks and winked at her daughter. Sophia must have noticed they were all dressed up and she lifts her head.
"Momma! You look so pretty!" Sophia squeals tapping her earrings and tracing her necklace and collar of her shirt delicately. Heather smiles before embracing her little girl.
"Thank you so much, beautiful, look at mami though!" Heather said and Sophia whipped her head around and looked at Naya and her mouth opened and closed.
"Ma...mi...you...wh...wow." Sophia stuttered and Niles bends over in laughter making Naya look back over and smile too.
"Oh my God. The Apple doesn't fall far from the tree does it." Niles chuckles as he resumes his standing position and separates Naya's hair in chucks to curl it in perfect waves.
"So I look okay? You won't be embarrassed to be seen with your mami?" Naya jokes and Sophis cocks her head. She wasn't at that age yet where that would ever be an issue so the joke went in one ear and out the other.
"I tell everyone your my momma and mami! You are the bestest parts of my whole life!" Sophia says happily making Naya and Heather want to squeeze their baby girl.
"Okay, that was really sweet!" Niles says and both moms smile in response.
"Well, I'm happy you're still glad we are your mommies, little love. One day you might not think that way not we hope not." Heather says cringing at the thought of her daughter ever getting to that stage.
"Never momma. You and mami are my whole heart." Sophia says before cupping her mouth and leaning into Heather's ear to whisper. "And my baby brother or sister but it's still a secret," Sophia says extra softly so only Heather could hear her. Naya raises a brow curiously and Sophia goes on talking in her regular voice for everyone. "Member (remember) when I went all the way to the big park with auntie NaNa and uncle Harry?" Sophia continued and both her moms nodded with a smile and Niles listened as he continued curling Naya's gorgeous hair. "Well, I met a super nice duck. He wasn't a very good listener and quacked a lot but he was super cute. I told him that you were my mommies and you play pretend. Then Harry showed me how to feed him bread and he tickled when he grabbed it out of my hand momma! He was so super fast and sneaky!" Sophia rambled and all three adults shook their heads.
Sophia had a deep affection for ducks and found them adorable just like her mother. Animals always gravitated towards Sophia as well both domestic and wildlife. They seemed to always sense she was safe and gentle. Kids and animals were the best decipher of human character that exists. Adults are the toxic ones, animals and kids see the world exactly for what it is. Pure and simple.
"Oh, can I get my pretty outfit on too?" Sophia said and the girls nodded and Heather set her down. "I'll be right back, Niles don't leave! We have stuff to talk about!" Sophia yells as she makes her way up the stairs.
"Be careful with your dress baby girl. No pulling on it, if you can't get it you call for one of us, alright?" Heather said and she heard a faint, okay momma! From upstairs.
"Baby, what did she whisper earlier?" Naya asked and Heather walked over and whispered explaining what she said about the baby. Naya pursed her lips, blushed, and subtly moved her hands closer to her belly. She couldn't hold it because Niles would get suspicious.
"I love her so much." Naya smiled looking up at her wife.
"I love her so much too," Heather said and looked down at her phone as it buzzed.
"Who is that?" Naya asked
"Melissa" Heather replied and opened the message.
Incoming Melissa: Hey Hemo! I hate to ask but can I take an Uber to your place and come to this thing with you? My car decided to not want to turn on and my engine light is on so I really don't think it will get me there and it's my first time at one of these, so I'd rather not show up alone... *sad face emoji*
Heather frowns and shows the text to Naya who nods immediately. Of course, they're not going to let the poor girl go alone.
"Of course, she can, just have her text you when she's almost here and one of us will let her in," Naya says handing the phone back and Heather texts her right away.
Outgoing Heather: Of course, you can. Naya's just getting glammed and I know Soph will be excited. Come on over. Do you have our address?
Incoming Melissa: I do still have it saved, thanks so much!
Outgoing Heather: of course! Just text when you are a couple of minutes away and I'll run and out open the gate for you.
Incoming Melissa: You guys are a lifesaver. See you soon! Kisses to all three of you! *3 side kiss emojis*
Heather smiles and hands the phone over to Naya. Heather had a habit of always showing Naya her phone or at least leaving it out so Naya had the option to look. Naya had a rough past before Heather and was constantly cheated on and taken advantage of so Heather never wanted Naya to feel like she had to be the one to ask to see anything. Heather never has anything to hide so she never did.
"Baby, you really don't have to show me..." Naya insisted and Heather shook her head.
"I absolutely do. You know I would never do anything like that to you but I know little things still come up that trigger those experiences and even though you are not in that place anymore, you still deserve that respect without having to feel like you are being nosy." Heather said
"Hemo marry me," Niles says and Heather looks up with a raised brow.
"What happened to being gay?" Heather says with a giggle
"Oh ya..." Niles says
"I'll shove that curling iron so far up your..." Snixx says but is cut off
"Honey!" Heather says laughing historically.
"Screw this Melissa chat, bring up your texts with Niles, what kind of naked photos are you sending this man?" Naya playfully scolds and Heather smirks amused and nods to her phone.
"Our convos do get pretty hot and heavy..." Niles responds and Naya scowls as he finishes the last section of her hair which looks stunning.
Naya looks through the text conversation was sees a photo attachment of him with a big apple pie from the recipe Heather sent him. Naya chuckles before rolling her eyes and laying the phone down on the counter.
"You two are lame." Naya laughs.
"Fucking apple pie was incredible!" Niles said and the girls smiled.
Heather leans in and whispers "If you want to see some risque messages go to this one chat," Heather says before opening their text message conversation and putting it in her lap. Naya visibly gulps and "you're my one and only, my love." Heather whispers sending a shiver down Naya's spine before pulling away. Niles is used to these girls and their affection so he just fluffs out her hair and starts on her makeup. Heather lifts her chin and looks at Naya's gorgeous hair and shakes her head. "I married the most gorgeous woman in the world," Heather says and Naya wipes a tear.
"Damn, sorry Niles." Naya laughed before pulling herself together so she didn't start ruining her makeup. Heather winks and kisses her hand just as Sophia comes down in her dress.
"Oh, Sophia!" Heather says kneeling and she twirls perfectly and
"I love it!" Sophia says as she swishes around.
"How do the shorts underneath fit baby girl?" Naya asked end Sophia looked at her like she had two heads.
"Mami, Kurtsy made them..." Sophia says flatly and Heather laughs because Chris could literally do no wrong in the eyes of that little girl. Naya giggled and quickly nodded.
"Oh yes, of course, Mija," Naya said
"Wow mami, your beautiful!" Sophia said in awe just now seeing the completed hair and nearly finished makeup. She looked like a goddess.
Ten minutes later, Niles had finished Naya's makeup and he looked in the mirror as she combed the curls lightly so they were bounce and looser. Niles flicked the hair to fall and cascade down the front of Naya's chest on either side and put a little product in his hands before fluffing up the top to give it added volume. Heather and Sophia look on with their eyes wide.
"You two are staring..." Naya smirked as Niles removes the cape that went over her clothes to protect them from hair and makeup products and reveals the full look.
Heather grabs Naya's hand and reaches to help her down and never let's go as Naya makes the must higher jump since she's shorter than Heather. Once she's on the hardwood floor Hearher played with a piece of her long hair before placing a hand under her wife's chin and in for a kiss.
"You are the most stunning woman I've ever seen. This is unreal, Naya." Heather says and they are completely unaware Niles already lifted Sophia in the chair and started sectioning off her lower back-length hair.
"They always like this Sophia?" Nile's asked. Sophia had her hands tucked into her lap as she watches him fluff out her hair and then start sectioning it off to turn her hair into bouncy curls making her look just like Naya. Heather finally snapped out of it and looked over to see her daughter in the chair already getting her hair done. Heather looks confused.
"Wait, how long was I staring at you?" Heather asked looking at the clock.
"Long times momma. You stare at mami lots." Sophia smiled and Heather couldn't even defend herself because Sophia was exactly right. Naya smiled and shook her head at Heather. "It's okay though, mami is super beautiful. Sometimes I stare at both of my mommies too because you are both so pretty and my favorite people." Sophia shrugged staying super still as the first long bouncy curls were made. Heather stands behind Naya and wraps her arms around her stomach and kisses her cheek as they watch their little girl get beautified.
Heather's phone goes off and she opens the text from Melissa saying she's pulling up and about a block away, Heather doesn't even respond and sets her phone on the counter and tell's Naya she's here and is going to open the gate for her.
"Who's here?" Sophia says excitedly but still
"I don't know. A surprise!" Naya says playfully and Sophia smiles. Naya hears Heather's phone go off once again and sees an unknown number pop up. She gulps because known numbers are not their friends but she does notice that it's from someone local based on the area code. She sighs because she fucking hates snooping and it makes her feel so disgustingly desperate and needy but she can't help herself and lifts the phone.
Incoming Unknown: Hey sexy, miss you.
Naya instantly gets all these damn flashbacks from when this happened to her constantly. She knows with everything she is that Heather would never in a million years do this to her. So who is this then? Naya's mind was spinning but she was determined to have a good night so she closes the messages but keeps them on her phone. Heather always shows her when she gets weird stuff so I guess the nest would be if she tells her about it or not. Naya sighs feeling overwhelmed, that's not the kind of text you want to get when you are on fucking loads of hormone shots daily. All it does is mess with your mind and make everything a million times worse.
Heather and Melissa walk back into the house and Niles sets the curling iron down to section off another chunk of the little girl's hair to curl. Sophia turns her head slightly and sees the familiar face.
"Melly!" Sophia says and Melissa smiles and waves as Heather grins and they walk closer. Melissa was in a blush pink colored dress that had a light watercolor floral print and came down to her knee. Her hair was in curls and she had silver hoop earrings on. She looked amazing.
"Hi, Sophia!" Melissa says as she quickly walks over and hugs the little girl before Niles starts curling again.
"Oh, you look super pretty too auntie Melly!" Sophia says giddily and Melissa has a moment where she pauses because it was the first time that she referred to Melissa as auntie. Heather and Naya look at her and smile and take note of her seemingly shocked but excited reaction, she was going a good job at containing it.
"And you look even prettier, Soph! That dress is perfection, I'm guessing that a certain fashion guy helped you pick that one out..." Melissa says with a smile and Sophia nods proudly.
"Uncle Kurtsy!" Sophia said and everyone nodded knowingly.
Naya still had a huge lump in her chest because Heather put her phone back in her pocket without looking at it, to be fair Naya had closed the text message so when Heather saw there was nothing on the screen she locked it and put it in her pocket. Heather wraps her arms around her wife and kisses her neck and Naya brings hers directly over Heather's and leans back. Why the hell was this bothering her so much though? This is Heather! She trusts her more than she trusts anyone in this damn world. Naya concludes that it must be weighing on her because that's just it, she trusts her more than anyone or anything and if anything were to happen to that trust it would destroy her entire life. Everything should shatter. She would no longer exist, because without Heather, she simply doesn't. That's why this is bothering her.
Naya snaps out of it and looks at Niles. "Niles, this is Melissa she started on the show this past season. Melissa this is Niles, he's our makeup and hair guru for most of our private appearances and events." Naya said introducing the two and Heather rubs her thumbs against Naya's arms that are wrapped around her.
"Nice to meet you, Niles," Gorgeous work by the way!" Melissa giggles gesturing to all three of the girls that he had made up and he smiles.
"Well thank you! Typically I don't have real-time models every time I introduce myself but it's really good to meet you, Here's my card if you ever need me since I know you three work together a lot I could always double team." Niles said handing her a black glossy business card and she nods.
"Awesome, I will, thank you!" Melissa says as they all watch Niles bring Sophia's long curled hair in front of her and it falls down her stomach. he uses a wide-tooth comb to loosen the tight curls so they bounce freely and loosely. Naya and Heather look at their daughter because she looks about eight or nine right now, she's stunning. Naya, as usual, is handling it very well, or not...
"Naya, you okay?" Melissa asks concerned and Heather quickly looks forward and sees her eyes glassy with tears ready to fall.
"My love, honey, she is still our baby girl!" Heather says knowing exactly what Naya is thinking and she takes a deep breath to will away the tears as Niles looks up.
"Oh no, you don't. Can't I do makeup on you without your tears ruining it? Second time today!" Niles says playfully and Naya rolls her eyes which causes a tear to slip out. "Gah, you ladies drive me crazy!" Niles says.
"You love us." Sophia blurts out making the four adults laugh.
Heather turns Naya around gently and dabs under her eyes. "You're okay, my love, she is still a baby, but she looks just like you. My two perfect girls." Heather said and kisses her eyelids.
"Alright ladies now what did you want to do with makeup? Just a little blush over the cheeks?" Niles asks. Heather and Naya share a look and nod.
"Yes, just a little light blush, absolutely no foundation, mascara, eyeliner, or any of that business," Heather said and he nods.
"Alright sounds good. Let's so this light rose color and you should be good to go kiddo!" Niles says and Sophia nods and smiles as he tells her to do while he brushes the matte blush across her cheekbones.
"Yay! I love it! Thanks, Niles!" Sophia says and Heather helps her daughter out of the chair and Melissa smiles as she gets a good look at her light blue flowy dress.
"Soph you look gorgeous!" Melissa says earning a smile from Sophia who wraps her arms around Melissa's legs making the brunette melt. Sophia knew how to make anyone feel loved and that was one of the things that were so special about her.
Heather noticed Melissa already had her phone out. "Mel, what time is it?" Heather asked and the girl peeked at her device.
"5:00 pm and I think Ryan said to be there any time after 5:30 so with traffic it would probably be a good idea to leave within the next ten minutes or so," Melissa said and the girls nodded. Sophia was bouncing in excitement. She felt so grown up and mature.
"Well, that's my cue!" Niles says as he packs up the last of the makeup and hair tools. He carries his curling iron out since it's still too warm to put inside the bag and gives everyone a hug making sure to hold the iron far away from them. "You all have a blast and one of you text me and tell me how it went! Melissa, I hope to see you again soon! Take care, everybody!" Niles says putting on his shoes and opening the front door.
"Bye Niles, thank you!" Heather said simultaneously with Naya
"Bye-bye Niles!" Sophia waved and he winked before closing the front door and opening it again.
"I forgot you have a gate..." Niles says and Heather shakes her head because she was wondering how long it would take for him to remember.
"Why don't we just head out now and follow Niles out. No sense in waiting around here. Did you have everything you need beautiful?" Heather asked and Naya nodded with a smile. "Melissa, did you need anything before we take off?" Heather asked kindly and Melissa shook her head.
"Nope, I can't think of anything, you both are already doing me a favor, so thank you!" Melisssa says and Naya nudges her shoulder.
"Oh stop, girl. We're your friends." Naya smiled and looked down at Sophia. They had packed a simple tote bag of a couple of small things like her blanket, bunny, a snack in case she got hungry and didn't like anything there along with a few odds and ends that they would just set in the room where everyone through their purses and belongings.
"I think we have everything, Heather asked and patted her butt to make sure she had her wallet and phone before they stepped out of the house and she set the alarm behind them. They waved and gave Niles one a more quick hug before heading over towards their Range Rover.
"Melly, sit by me! Now I won't be all by myself back here!" Sophia says excitedly as Heather helps Melissa into the backseat which made her blush because nobody has ever done that for her. Heather grabbed her wife's hand and kissed her palm before opening the front passenger side and helping Naya in carefully since she had some high heels on.
"You settled, my love?" Heather says and Naya blushes and smiles. Anytime Heather treated her like this in front of other people she got extra shy and coy about it because somewhere in the back of her mind she never really believed she was worthy of it.
"Yeah, thank you, baby," Naya said as she smiled at Sophia who was standing holding onto Heather's pants pocket like she was supposed to when they were in parking lots or around cars.
"Good. Alright, now let me go strap this little girl to the roof and we will head off!" Heather says teasingly and Sophia covers her hands over her mouth.
"No! Well, at least Kurtsy made my shorts because it gets super windy up there..." Sophia said as Heather shook her head and laughed as she scooped up her little girl and closed Naya's door before going to the other side and settling her into her booster seat next to Melissa. "Thank goodness, Mr. Niles would be very mad if you messed up my hair momma!" Sophia said seriously and Heather, Naya, and Melissa laughed.
"I suppose we should save the roof of the car for the Christmas trees, not little girls in blue dresses, right?" Heather says and Sophia nods with a smile
"Right, momma!" Sophia says before Heather kisses her cheek and closes the door and jumps in the front seat with Naya and starts the car. She raises the gate so Niles can get out and they wave as he goes down the street before closing the gate behind them and driving down the road.
Thirty minutes later the four of them were pulling up to the Ritz Carlton hotel where the party was being held. Unfortunately, the paparazzi knew of this event so they were outside waiting, however, it was a closed and private event so they couldn't go past the doors.
Heather isn't sure why, but something seemed slightly off with Naya, she was still happy and giggly but maybe it was something only Heather could notice but she knew that something was bothering her wife. It was subtle but it was there so she made a mental note to pull her aside when they got in just to make sure she was okay.
They approached the reserved parking area that Ryan had marked off for the event and Heather walked around helped Melissa out of the car making sure she was steady on her heels before she opened her wife's passenger door and held both arms out for her lovingly and watched Naya blush and grab onto both of her hands accepting the help. Once Naya was steady and had her purse, Heather closed the door and held her finger up signaling for them to wait.
"One-second ladies, let me grab my little love," Heather says and runs to the other side before she sees a paparazzi running over to Naya at full speed. Naya and Melissa freeze and debate about getting back into the car but a flash of blonde appears before they can finish their thought. "Yeah, I would rethink that If I were you." Heather scowls at the paparazzi. "Little tip, don't ever come at my wife, daughter, or friends again," Heather says coldly before motioning for him to turn around and back away which is does. Heather motions for the still stunned girls to follow her around the car so she can get Sophia out. Sophia is smiling unaware of the paparazzi pandemonium and held her arms out for her momma who draped her quilt over her daughter and attached the girl securely to her hip. Heather made sure her face was covered and she couldn't be seen. Protective Heather at its best. Naya blushed at how incredible her wife was. She was so fiercely protective. "Come here, my love," Heather said and made sure Naya was close to her other wife as Naya wrapped around her arm. "Melissa, take Naya's arm so I know you're close too," Heather says and Melissa blushes looping her arm around Naya's who holds it out for her and the three walk towards the hotel.
"Seriously, is she always like this?" Melissa asked with a raised brow making Naya smile and nod.
"Always. I still blush all the time and it's been nine years." Naya giggled lightly and Melissa shook her head with a smile."
They approach the door which is held open by hotel staff and Heather motions for the two ladies to enter before keeping a hand on her wife's back and following her inside with Sophia. Once they are inside and around the corner Naya gently pulls the blanket off her daughter careful of her pretty hair and Sophia looks up with closed eyes but peeks one open.
"Is it safe again?" Sophia asks making the others giggle and Heather nods. kneeling and placing her little girl on the ground to smooth out her dress and a few strands of hair. Suddenly Sophia starts waving and the three girls turn around and see Elliott and John their security guards at the bar grabbing a drink. They smile and wave back before Sophia frantically points to Amber and Jenna who have their backs turned to them and never saw the girls and Sophia walk in.
"Can I be sneaky on them?" Sophia stage whispers. Naya, Heather, and Melissa giggle softly and Heather keeps a close eye on her the entire time. Naya stands behind her wife who is crouched on the ground but slowly starts to get up. Naya loves watching her wife in protective mode. Heather and Naya giggle as they watch their daughter exaggerate her every footstep and look back at her mommies with her finger up to her lips and they both smile and put theirs up to their lips too playfully.
Sophia tiptoes the rest of the way before quickly patting them both on the back at the same time startling them both until they look back and down to spot the little girl. Both girls are practically dying at how unbelievable adorable she was.
"Sophia!" Both girls toss their glasses on the table and kneel to give her a group hug and she squeals at the love she receives and gives it right back kissing their cheeks. Jenna lifts her and they continue to admire her dress, hair, and every single thing about her.
Heather slowly gets up but her phone falls out of her back pocket as she's doing so and she grabs it casually and unlocks it just to check her messages. Naya holds her breath and sees the scrunched-up face Heather makes and Naya knows she must be looking at the random message she received after the one from Melissa. Naya can see her opening it and reading the text and immediately shakes her head with a disgusted look and gives the phone to Naya.
"Do you recognize this number, my love?" Heather asks and the sigh of relief she feels is like a weight lifted off her chest, again she has no idea why Heather would die before she would ever hurt her but Naya realized she was still really broken from those past experiences and it never really came up unless someone was flirty towards her wife or the topic of cheating was brought up by anyone else.
Naya knows she can't lie to her wife and say she's never seen it so she puts up her finger and they walk over to Jenna and Amber.
"Hey ladies, looking gorgeous!" Naya said and they both smiled at the girls as Sophia was now in Amber's arms.
"We could say the same about you! You two look like the same person but with Hemo's eyes!" Amber says motioning to Naya and Sophia and then Heather who blushed. She loved that Sophia had her eyes.
"Thanks." Naya winked. "Can Soph stay with you two while we run to the restroom and put this bag in the backroom?" Naya asked and the girls nodded. Melisssa was over talking to Harry close by.
"Thanks, ladies, Soph, your stay with Amber and Jenna, no running off even if you see somebody okay?" Heather said and Sophia nodded.
"Don't worry momma, I'm super sponsible (responsible)" Sophia said and the girls all giggled and nodded. Naya tapped her daughter's nose and thanked the girls before talking back to the restroom.
"What's going on, beautiful?" Heather asks as they shut the door to the restroom and see that it's empty. Heather runs her hands up and down her wife's arms before gently picking up her chin and kissing her lips. "Let me in, I knew something was bothering you since we were getting ready, what happened love?" Heather asked and Naya motioned to the phone.
"Baby, I saw the message when we were getting ready, It came when you were opening the gate for Melissa," Naya said and now it all made sense for Heather and she nodded.
"Why didn't you pull me aside and tell me. You know I rarely pick up my phone unless it goes off." Heather says and Naya nods feeling like an idiot and she didn't want Heather to think she was accusing her of anything.
"I have no idea what the hell is wrong with me. I blame these fucking hormones. The second I saw that my mind kept going back and forth between, who the hell is this and also knowing that you would never do this to me. Unknown numbers haven't exactly been lucky for us in any way so I think it all just made my mind go haywire. Heather, I need you to know I don't think you did anything. Not even for a second, I'm sorry it's just messing with my damn mind. I'm so afraid I'll lose y..." Naya rambles and Heather puts her phone on the counter and brings her wife in for a much-needed hug.
"Oh, beautiful. I'm so sorry that it hurt you so much to see that. How about I talk to Elliot or John at some point this evening and see if they can trace the number since it's a local one. I don't want these messages either and I certainly don't want my wife stressing herself out about them." Heather says making Naya look up and sigh with glassy eyes. "Naya, never in a million trillion years would I ever do that to you," Heather said softly looking at her wife. Naya looked like she wanted to sob but held it back and Heather could see how triggering this was for her. This had come up before when people would flirt with Heather in a bar, restaurant, or on the street, but she's never received some random text message like this which is what used to happen to her all the time so it just hit differently this time.
"God I feel so ridiculous I ju..." Naya starts and Heather stops her right away.
"No, honey. You don't ever apologize for your feelings, not ever. Love, you know the password to my phone so at any point, throughout the evening if you see anything else pop up, come get me. I'll probably keep my phone at the table over there because it would constantly fall out when I'm dancing with my gorgeous wife." Heather says kissing her forehead making Naya's cheeks turn bright red. "It's only you, Naya. Always. If this person keeps texting I will ask Elliot or John what we can do because like I said before, the only person allowed to text me like that is my wife." Heather said and Heather opened her arms and Naya walked into them gratefully
"God, baby I love you so much. These hormones are no joke. I forgot they make me crazy." Naya signed and Heather leans down to kiss her stomach making Naya blush yet again.
"Naya, listen to me, beautiful. You are not crazy, I'd go all Lima Heights too if I saw someone texting those things to my wife." Heather said making Naya giggle and shake her head. "This message is not okay with me and if I get anymore then we are going to see what can be done about it. People should know by now to never mess with my wife or daughter." Heather spoke sternly and Naya just leaned in and hugged her wife tightly. God, she loved this woman with her entire heart. "Also, love, what's this about you losing me? Let's worry about being completely in love, raising our amazing daughter, and soon hopefully taking care of this little one." Heather says placing her hand on her stomach even though nothing is there yet. "You will never lose me because I was placed on this earth to love you and my children. Only you." Heather finished and kissed her wife's head, nose, and lips making Naya look like a lovesick teenager. "Would the love of my life like to go see if our toddler has found the bar yet?" Heather said with a smirk and Naya puffed out a laugh.
"God, yeah, we better get out there." Naya laughed before looking into Heather's eyes and pointing at the counter reminding her to take her phone. "Thank you, baby, I'm sorry I didn't just spit it out right away and let it build up in my head. I tend to do that." Naya said embarrassed and bashful.
"I know you do, but you never need to do that around me. I'm your's and you sure as hell better be mine." Heather smiled and so did Naya
"You are always mine," Naya said before they kissed once more and walked out of the restroom hand in hand.
"There they are!" Ryan says as the two make their way over and greet everyone who they haven't seen yet, which was basically everyone. The entire downstairs event room, dance floor, and bar area were reserved for the Glee bunch. The music playing was all songs that have been performed on the show and a big projector screen was playing the scene behind them. Heather and Naya look at Amber and Jenna and are about to question when where their daughter is when they see Vanessa pointing her camera to record something and all the sudden the song, You Should Be Dancing plays on the speakers, and the dance floor was empty except for Harry and Sophia who were doing the same choreography that was done on the show and Sophia was slaying it even in a dress. She hit every beat and Heather's mouth dropped.

Naya and Heather along with every else are standing there with their jaws dropped and when the song ended the two high-five as the audience cheers and screams as roaring applause fills the room. Sophia is eating up the attention that's for damn sure. Harry swings her around on his hip until they are out of the busy crowd around the dance floor then puts her down and they casually walk over.
"Man, dancing is fun... come on Harry let's hit the bar!" Sophia says dragging him over and everyone watches completely dumb shocked with their mouths wide open. Sophia doesn't even know what the bar is but I suppose she's been hearing everyone say that.
"Harry!" Naya says and he turns around. "I swear if there's anything but water or apple juice in her cup I'll..." Naya starts before Harry cuts her off.
"I know, I know, you'll go all Lima Heights but come on I don't have a death wish! Jeesh!" Harry says making the others laugh.
"Come on uncle Harry before the next song comes on!" Sophia says as they go get their refreshments and they see the bartender hand Harry a grape-flavored bottled water for Sophia. The crew all turn around and Heather blushes because Sophia was her momma's daughter at that moment.
"Hemo, Holy shit! she dances like you!" Vanessa says and sends the video to Naya and Heather. Naya's phone is in her purse in the backroom but Heather's phone goes off and she sees it was from Vanessa and looks up.
"I just sent you the video." Vanessa smiled tucking her phone back into the pocket of her dress.
"Thanks, Nessa. God that was amazing to watch. I had no idea she could pick it up so quickly. It's so weird seeing her dance to that and seeing us in the background. It's one of those am I dreaming moments, you know?" Heather says shaking her head.
Sophia comes back and gives her wanted to Naya so she can put it on the table but then has second thoughts and sets it on the window ledge so Sophia can reach it.
"Here, baby girl, it's right here so you can reach it, okay," Naya says pointing to her water and Sophia nods before bouncing on her heels.
"Mami, momma did you see me! Harry showed me and I did it! I looked just like you momma!" Sophia said happily and both of her moms gleamed with pride. This girl was going to take over the world and they knew it.
Everyone had the best evening in the world. One thing that seemed to catch the girls' eye is that Darren and Chris seemed to really be getting along, as in more than friends. They were very close all night. Naya and Heather made a mental note to talk to the guys about that because they were way too nosy and needed to know, simple as that. Becca was her usual self, Heather would catch her glancing but tonight she kept her distance and didn't start anything which Heather and Naya were both grateful for because they were over her shit. Melissa was having a great time and seemed to relax and soon learned that it wasn't anything to be too nervous about. Everyone loved watching Sophia on the dance floor and she loved showing everyone how well she could dance, nobody could tell her she couldn't do anything because she would show them she could.
Around 8:00 pm, Ryan walked up and gave an amazing speech thanking every single person for their incredible work in making the season what it was. Season ten was going to be a big season for Glee and they couldn't wait to see what it brings. The cast and crew were all gathered around the stage that Ryan was on when he called Matt Morrison to the stage and he walked up. Heather was standing behind Naya with her arms wrapped around her waist and Sophia was standing in front of Naya who had her arms linked around her daughter's neck and Sophia bent her arms straight up to hold onto Naya's hands. It was adorable and of course, Vanessa snuck a photo.
Matt grabs the guitar and sits on the edge of the stage with his feet hanging down and then points to Sophia and curls his finger beckoning for her to join him. She looks back pleadingly at her moms who both nods with smiles and Heather disconnects from around Naya and lifts her daughter so Ryan can lean over and grab her and set her on stage. Once Sophia is safely next to Matt on stage and sitting with him all proper with her legs bent to one side and her one arm straight being used to prop her up while the other is in her lap. Heather walks back over and wraps her arms around her wife who sinks into her embrace.
"Do you know what this is?" Heather whispered and Naya shook her head.
"Not a single clue," Naya says and she is just about to have Heather take out her phone to record but sees Vanessa already doing it, and Vanessa mouths, I'll send it to you. Both Heather and Naya smile at their friend so grateful they could just enjoy whatever it is they are about to see.
Suddenly the lights go dim and a montage of classical piano music is playing and it's all these special moments they've experienced in the ten years they've been working on this show. Matt and Sophia are glancing at the video behind them while Naya and Heather smile every time Sophia points and gets excited to see her mommies on the screen. She wasn't around for the first five seasons so seeing this and all these moments were special for her. The cast was all wiping their eyes because they cannot believe this is the path their lives have taken them. What a whirlwind. They were all passing tissues to each other and hugging each other as a group.
Suddenly the video paused and the room went quiet and a little voice started talking. This stunning, high-pitched voice with that gorgeous hint of rasp like Naya came over everyone and the second they heard their daughter speak the cast fell apart, they loved this little girl to death.
"Hi everyone! My name is Sophia Elizabeth Rivera- Morris! I just turned four years old and these are all my uncles and aunties!" Sophia said proudly and confidently while looking out at the large cast in front of her. "And that's my momma and that's my mami my most favoritest people in the whole entire world!" Sophia says earning tearful chuckles from Naya and even Heather was wiping tears. This is my family because we love each other and I got to watch them play pretend since I was in mami's tummy! That's a long time. I watch my uncles, aunties, and mommies sing and I wanted to do it too. I hope you all love my super special present!" Sophia says and they all look confused. Naya and the girls are practically sobbing, especially Naya, she's a goner. Heather is teary and holding it together for her wife and everyone glances at each other and nobody knows anything about this so-called present.
All of the sudden the familiar music plays and Naya loses it. She lost it on tour singing this song and now she's sobbing. All that's playing is the faint music as the song comes on and the video montage of scenes from the show, backstage photos of the cast, including a pregnant Naya, baby Sophia on set, the cast on tour, and every special moment from the past ten years scroll past them. Next Matt looks down and starts playing the guitar and Sophia sits up straighter and puts her hands on her lap and nobody sees there is a microphone behind her as she sways subtly to his guitar playing.
A couple of seconds later Matt starts singing...

"Oh dear god..." Naya said leaning her head on Chris' shoulder and her wife continues to hold her from behind. Jenna holding Naya's hand and they are all connected. Matt continues to sing the gorgeous lyrics as Sophia watches him
"It's so cute that he brought her up on stage so watch him while this plays. She wasn't even born when we started this! Wow, what a ride you guys." Diana said as Matt started singing again.

Naya and everyone else thinks that Sophia is just looking behind her to watch the video but when she turns back around she's holding a microphone in her hand with a soft smile as she watches all these photos, clips, and videos slide across the screen. Ryan is coming down towards the rest of the cast and doesn't know what's happening either.
The guitar continues to strum before Sophia raises the microphone slightly higher waiting for her cue.
"No, she's not!" Amber whispered holding a hand over her mouth and Lea had both of her hands over her mouth.
"Oh god. Heather, I can't..." Naya cried and buried into Heather who laughed through her tears until suddenly they heard the softest, prettiest voice they've ever heard. It was so incredibly angelic and soulful with her rasp. Just a young version of Naya. Everyone was blown away. Heather and Naya have never heard her sing. Yes, she hummed and would recite a line from her favorite Disney song, but this...no they have never heard this...

Every one of the cast was in tears as that gorgeous powerhouse voice that was a carbon copy of her mother's sounded out from the stage before she was joined by Matt for the next verse and they sang gorgeously together. Sophia was made for this. A complete clone of her mami and momma.

The video continues to scroll behind them and the tears are flowing amongst the cast and even some of the crew that has been there since day one and have been there since Sophia's first day on set. This was mindboggling and such a full-circle moment. Matt puts down his microphone and gives the floor to Sophia who smiles and blows a kiss to the group and an extra one to her mommies before continuing

The video went to a still photo of the cast from day one next to the most recent cast photo and even Sophia got to sneak it. The music faded and Matt strummed the last string of the guitar before it was quiet and huge applause abrupted. Matt lifted the guitar off his shoulder strap and set it down before opening his arms with a smile as Sophia launched into his arms. They hugged and Matt told Sophia how amazing that was before Heather wiped her tears and lifted her arms and Sophia stood up and made the small three-foot jump into her momma's arms as heather held her as tight as she possibly could manage.
"Oh my word, Sophia! You just took our breath away. Mami is a mess! She loved it so much you made her cry happy tears." Heather says and Sophia snuggles her and looks past Heather's shoulder to see Amber holding a sobbing Naya. "Heather kisses her daughter and whispers in her ear. "Go give your mami a big hug. She needs some Sophia snuggles after that." Heather says and Sophia puckers her lips. Heather smiles and kisses her daughter on the lips before setting her down and they both walk over to Naya.
Sophia tugs on her mami's dress so she will remove her face from Amber's shoulder and Naya wipes her eyes before looking over and then down seeing Sophia holding her arms up for her mami and Naya half sobs and half giggles as she picks up her daughter and clutches her.
"Mi Amor...that was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Mami is so proud of you my baby. You sounded beautiful." Naya chokes out and Sophia clings to her mami and kisses her cheek.
"I want to be just like you and momma because I love you so much. Singing and dancing make my heart happy. You liked my present?" Sophia asked and Naya looked into her daughter's blue eyes.
"You, my daughter, are the best thing that's ever happened to me. Momma and I love you so much. Your present was the best part of the night." Naya says and cups the back of her daughter's head. As much as she didn't want to let this little girl go, there was a crowd of friends waiting to hug this little girl. "I think there are some other people that need to give you some hugs. Uncle Kurtsy looks like he's about to explode if he doesn't get one of your super special hugs soon." Naya said cracking a smile. Sophia glances up and Chris looks like he's about to explode and wiping tears. Sophia giggles as she puckers her lips and gives her mami one last kiss before she hands her daughter to their friends as they swallow her in a group hug to the point where Naya can't even see her anymore.
Naya sighs and turns around to see Heather waiting with her arms outstretched and Naya shakes her head crying and falls into her wife's arms.
"You're okay, beautiful. I know, that was so special wasn't it. These last ten years have been the best of my life. I love you girls so much." Heather says softly kissing her wife.
"I love you so much too and I love that little girl. You both are my entire life..." Naya says trying to breathe normally as her wife holds her in her arms.
It was the end of the evening around 9:00 pm and last they saw Sophia she was grabbing a sip of her water and breaking it down on the dance floor with everyone. She was going to be so wired tonight and be up late but it was the weekend and one day of the year, they were going to let her have fun which she was having with all of the people she loved. Except now they couldn't find her.
Heather rushes to approach the group. "Has anyone seen Soph?" Heather rushes out and all their eyes go wide and they twist around looking lower than they would if they were looking for an adult. "No God, Soph!" Heather says as Naya runs to another spot to check around. Everyone spreads out and goes to look for this little girl. Harry runs to Elliot and John asking them to watch the exits to nobody can leave until this girl is found. Both men mod and run hastily to the doors.
"Oh my god. Soph, no not again!" Naya pleads as she runs around frantically and every once in a while passes one of her friends doing the same thing. Naya is crying and frantic as she checks by the bar, lounge area, dance floor, stage, behind every object, everywhere!
Amber is running around the stage, Jenna is off near catering, Harry is by the doors, Kevin is checking the entrance and outside, Vanessa is by the bar and lounge with Diana, Lea is weaving in and out of the dance floor with Chord looking high and low, Cory is walking the hallways with Darren and Melissa is running to the back room where they all threw their clothes and bags. She opens the door and sees Becca holding a sound asleep Sophia.
"What the fuck are you doing Becca?!" Melissa says approaching the blonde and speaking in a loud whisper. "Naya, Heather, and everyone is running around frantic looking for her. Give her to me!" Melissa says sternly and Becca shakes her head.
"Why should I?" Becca slurs clearly drunk out of her mind and makes a move to stand up but can't. She's just on the bench cradling Sophia and it's unsettling for Melissa to watch.
"Now Becca, you have ten seconds to hand her over or I will get security. Now!" Melissa says and Becca groans trying to stand. Sophia wobbles in her arms and Melissa catches the girl before she hit the hard floor. Sophia whined and sturred but looked up.
"Melly?" Sophia mumbles and Melissa nods.
"Yeah honey, let's go find your mommies. Melissa goes to her friend's tote bag and sees Sophia's blanket and bunny and grabs the wrapping Sophia up and glares at Becca whos falling over everything. My god, this could have been bad if she hadn't shown up. Sophia nods and cuddles Melissa and brings her blanket to her chin. Melissa doesn't even waste her breath speaking to Becca because everything she would want or need to say wouldn't be okay for Sophia's little ears. She walks out without a word to find Naya and Heather.
Melissa comes out into the main area and the first person she sees is Vanessa who runs over.
"Where the hell was she?!" Vanessa said rubbing the little girls back
"Becca in the bedroom. She's beyond drunk she can barely stand and almost dropped Sophia." Melissa said furious and so was Vanessa. Harry was running until he stopped in his tracks seeing the girl
"Soph! Oh my god is she okay? Where was she?!" Harry said peeking around and kissing her head.
"Back bedroom with Becca. I'll fill you in. I'm going to stay here with her. Can you two go find Naya and Heather and get them over here. I don't want to be running around with her sleeping and we will all probably just be going in circles." Melissa begged and both of them took off.
Melissa sighed and peeked at the little girl who seemed unharmed and fast asleep. She swayed from side to side on her hips as she held the little girl. Vanessa and Harry must have found a few of the others because now Amber, Chord, Lea, and Jenna were rushing over.
"Oh god, Soph!" Lea said
"Where the hell!" Chord said out of breath just as Naya and Heather rounded the corner and Melissa quickly gave her to Naya before covering her with the blanket and running her hands through her hair. Naya was bawling and Heather was breathing heavily trying as she bent down to look at her daughter's face and kiss her forehead. Sophia lifted her head but not even enough to see their faces.
"Mami? Momma?" Sophia mumbles sleepily and Naya nods as she clutches her daughter.
"It's me, honey, mami's here and so is momma baby girl. Go back to sleep." Naya urges and Sophia does just that. Heather looks at Melissa and hugs her fiercely before asking what everyone wants to know.
"Melissa where was she?!" Heather said and everyone looked at her. Heather looked over and wiped the tears from her wife's face before kissing her forehead and looking back at Melissa.
"Becca was holding her on the bench in the back bedroom where we threw all of our purses and stuff. She's beyond drunk and tried to stand with her and I caught her before she hit the ground and demanded she hand her to me. For all I know she's still in there or probably passed out by now. I didn't stay to check." Melissa said with her arms crossed and sighing before Naya comes up to her and hugs her with one arm before it goes back to supporting her daughter's small frame.
"God...thank you Melissa for getting her out of there," Naya says gratefully with a shaky breath.
"You guys, if you see Becca holding or near Sophia please grab her or come to us. I don't want her anywhere near my daughter." Heather breathes out and rubs her daughter's back who lifts her head from Naya's shoulder.
"Momma?" Sophia mumbles and Heather looks at her daughter. Sophia holds her arms out and Naya passes her to Heather to takes her into her protective arms. Naya tucks the blanket around Sophia as she cuddles in the safe arms of her mother. Naya smiles knowing that's the safest place in the world.
Heather's phone chimes from her back pocket and asks Naya to see who it is. Naya freezes and shows her wife the number on the screen and it's the unknown number from earlier. Heather nods for Naya to unlock and read the message which she reluctantly goes. Naya goes to the texts and opens the most recent one and visibly gulps and feels sick.
