It was early, nobody should be awake at this hour, at least that is how Naya saw things. If the goddamn birds weren't awake, neither should she be. The first mistake was having the morning crew book their flight. Lesson learned I guess.
The alarm sounded at 3:30 am and Heather turned over in bed and sat up slightly before kissing her wife awake by placing tender pecks on the curve of her neck and cheeks. Naya manages to let out a hum in satisfaction at the feeling of her wife's soft lips on her skin but then looks at the time and must have forgotten they have a flight to catch.
"Mhmm, baby, you know I love you and we can have sex later I promise, but it's just way too early..." Naya mumbles barely understandable. Heather giggled and leaned down to whisper in her wife's ear softly.
"If you want to get to Mexico, we have a plane to catch, my love. I'll be in the shower and I would love for my sexy wife to join me." Heather smiles seductively as she places one last intense kiss on her wife's lips before getting up and going to the bathroom. Naya grumbles but the thought of showering were her sexy, strong, protective, insanely hot wife wins over.
Naya walked into the bathroom and saw her wife naked behind the clear glass of the shower door. She had peeked inside her daughter's room beforehand and saw she was still sleeping and there was no reason to have Sophia up before 4:15 am when all she had to do was change and brush her teeth. Heather must have heard the bathroom door and opened the glass shower and was met with the sight of her stunning wife, the mother of her baby girl, her everything.
"I'm glad you decided to join me, my love," Heather whispers while holding out both of her hands to help her wife into the shower. So chivalrous and Naya still blushed every single time.
"I couldn't pass up the invitation," Naya replies as her deep brown eyes sparkle and reflect the light of the raining water.
"Your body is so damn beautiful, Naya," Heather confesses to her wife genuinely as she places a soft kiss on each of Naya's round breasts.
"Mhmm, baby." Naya moans resting her forehead on her wife's shoulder as Heather grabs the body wash and puts a large dollop on the palm of her hand before spreading it across Naya's chest and stomach, watching as it lathers creating small bubbles on her bronzed skin tone. Naya wraps her arms around her wife's neck as she kisses every inch of her upper body and stares into her eyes.
"I love you so deeply Naya. The best decision I ever made was making you my wife. It's almost scary to me how much I love you." Heather admits and Naya looks deep into her eyes before placing a passionate kiss on her lips. Heather was such a poet with her words, they always hit home for her.
"You mean everything to me, baby. I think this is why I was, and still am sometimes, so scared to lose you. You're my entire life and the thought..." Naya pauses and shakes her head before her eyes meet Heather's once again. "Heather, I can't lose you," Naya mumbled hugging her wife around the neck as Heather instantly embraces her and kisses her shoulders.
"I would do anything for you, Naya. I never in a million years thought that I would be lucky enough to meet someone that had that kind of impact on me and my life. You have no idea of the love I have for every single part of you." Heather whispers just loud enough for Naya to hear over the water raining down on the two of them.
Naya wraps her arms around her wife's neck and moves closer to her chest so their naked bodies are flush under the stream of hot water directly above them.
"The best feeling will be your body pressed against mine. God, you are gorgeous. A work of art." Heather says to her wife while kissing her forehead making Naya blush like crazy.
"Baby..." Naya says bashfully looking down at their connected hands between them as Heather pulled her wife into a passionate kiss.
The couple stands under the hot shower allowing the water to cleanse her body while the steam and the fact that their bodies are pressed together wake up their senses.
The girls spend the next five minutes washing their hair while continually stealing glances and kisses until they are clean. Heather was the first one out of the shower and grabbed a towel instantly wrapping it around her body before holding another one out for her wife to step into as she carefully exits the shower. Heather wraps her petite wife up in the large fluffy white towel and dries her off carefully and lovingly.
As Heather was drying off her wife, she kissed her forehead down to her feet. Naya was blushing so hard it almost hurt. After all the shit she's been through in the past, his woman, Heather, loves and treats her better than the rest of the world combined.
As Heather moved back up her body, she placed a kiss on Naya's core. The minute her lips hit the delicate area, Naya let out a whimper and tipped her head back at the feeling. Naya needed Heather and she needed her now.
Heather surprises Naya by lifting her bridal style and slowly carrying her back to the bed where she gently lays Naya back down in the center on top of the white duvet. Heather runs her hands over Naya's gorgeous chest kneading her breasts before placing a kiss on her toned stomach. Heather glances up at her wife and looks into her rich brown eyes.
"You are the love of my life, my everything, the most gorgeous woman i've ever seen in the world. You, my love, are mine forever and I think that makes me the luckiest woman in the world." Heather confesses. Naya has tears streaming down her face and sniffles. Her eyes are closed taking in what her wife says. Naya is loved, treasured, safe, and respected.
Heather has Naya's lips locked in a passionate kiss and takes in the feeling of her wife's hand running painfully slowly down her chest, down to her stomach, before resting against her core. Naya lets out a pleasurable gasp when her wife slips her finger through her slick folds.
"Oh, baby..." Naya moans out as her fingers grip her back as her neck tilts back in satisfaction. Naya leans up slightly and takes one of Heather's breasts in her mouth as her legs wrap around the dancer's body that's hovering over her petite frame.
"Naya!" Heather cries in pleasure as Naya kneads her smaller breasts. Naya places wet kisses down the valley between her breasts and kissed up her neck before landing on her lips as Heather continues to pump inside Naya with two fingers. Heather's hand begin roaming down Naya's perfect body and land on her butt where she grips and massages it.
"Fuck that feels amazing, baby..." Naya moans with a smile as Naya bucks up against her wife and they lock eyes. Heather looks into Naya's brown orbs and it's as if she is staring into the eyes of the most gorgeous, precious jewel she has ever seen in her life.
"Do you want me to keep going my love?" Heather asks softly while cupping her wife's cheek and kissing her forehead. Naya smiles adoringly and nods quickly as they connect their lips once again.
Naya can feel the twinges pulse throughout her body as she feels her wife suckling and nipping on her pulse point as Nays digs her nails softly into her upper back while moaning in pleasure. Heather's magical tongue is fucking amazing and everywhere it touches leaves her caramel skin on fire. Heather kisses down Naya's neck and collarbone before really giving extra special attention to her breasts. Heather places a kiss and massages them tenderly and Naya can't stop the moans that come out of her mouth. Naya bucks up until their hips are now rolling together in perfect sync. The anticipation is palpable. Heather continues kissing down her wife's body she worships with every ounce of her being, the body that carried and nurtured their baby girl. Heather opens Naya's legs while placing delicate kisses on the inside of her thighs while constantly murmuring affirmations to Naya that make her feel on top of the world. Naya is so lost in her pleasurable thoughts she gets a shock and jolt when Heather licks her core.
"Fuck! Oh, God! Heather!" Naya whimpers as Heather licks long and slow strokes making Naya shake with twinges. Heather grasps both of Naya's hips to steady her because the intensity of the feeling was making Naya rock harshly. Naya clutches the white sheets with her fists because she needs to grab something and doesn't want to hurt her wife.
"You like that, beautiful?" Heather asks lifting her head seductively with a smile across her face.
"Pl...god please don't stop baby, please," Naya begs shakily as her heart rate rises.
Heather goes back down and enters Naya with her tongue.
"Heaaaaaaaa. Oh, God!" Naya pants as her wife pumps her tongue in and out slowly as if she is trying to savor every part of this and every part of her wife she cherishes so deeply. Heather blows softly at her wife's dripping core which sends Naya into overdrive. "Baby...fuck, I'm so cl...close," Naya says as Heather maneuvers her tongue into every angle and groove that she knows her wife loves. "Fuck!" Naya shrieks as Heather begins to pump faster and licks her clit which is throbbing with sensitivity. Naya's legs begin to tense and shake as she teases her clit with the tip of her tongue.
"Ready for the best orgasm of your life?" Heather asks her wife seductively and Naya whimpers but nods. Naya is unable to move or do anything as Heather connects her soft lips around her clit and sucks gently flicking her tongue over it.
"Babbbbbbbbbbyyy," Naya lets out through an unsteady breath and Heather sucks as hard as she can causing Naya to explode over the edge and scream out into the pillow as the ecstasy waves through her small frame. Heather savors the taste of Naya taking in every last bit. Naya is shaking so hard and Heather instantly comes up to lay beside Naya and hold her while continuing to whisper and tell her every positive and loving thing Naya could ever want or need to hear as she rides out her powerful orgasm. At that moment she knew that the woman who loved her more than anything in this world was right by her side through everything. This had been a rough month full of disappointment but Naya had her wife and they had their incredible baby girl who lit up their life in every unexpected but beautiful way.
"Holy shit..." Naya breathed out as Heather kissed her neck and smiled. Naya was finally starting to catch her breath after about three minutes of Heather just holding and snuggling her.
"I had to wake you up somehow, beautiful." Heather giggled and Naya looked over and puffed out a chuckle still trying to catch her breath. Naya tried to motion that it was Heather's turn but she shook her head and Naya looked confused.
"We can play in Cabo, beautiful. This morning was just for you. To show you how much I love you, how much I treasure you, and that you and my daughter are the only things I need in my life. You, my love, are worth it. You deserve it and deserved to be respected and loved no matter what anyone in your past has ever told you. I want you to know that I will never hurt you or disrespect the woman that has given me everything. Everything after this is the most beautiful gift, but I don't want you to feel pressured or discouraged. You are mine, and you will always be mine." Heather whispered and Naya sobbed and pulled her wife close to her body. Surprisingly it was only 3:50 am and they didn't have to leave until 4:30 am so they were going to enjoy five or ten minutes together before they woke Sophia. "I've got you beautiful, just relax and come down before we get changed and leave for paradise." Heather whispers and Naya looks up and smiles, leaning over for a kiss.
"The best things I have ever done in my life were you and our daughter. You saved my life." Naya admits and Heather visibly swallows before hugging her wife tightly and discreetly wiping a tear that escaped her eye. God she loved Naya with every fiber of her being.
Just under ten minutes later and just before 4:00 am they had to get up and Heather quickly ran into the bathroom to pull her hair back and clean herself up.
Naya throws the sheets off of her and grumbles a bunch of nonsense. Naya wanted to keep going with the sexy times but of course, they had an early ass plane to catch because some of these people they call friends, think it's a good idea to book a 5:30 am flight. Heather happens to hear the last part of her rant as she comes back through the bathroom and into the bedroom.
"The person who invented getting out of bed should have his balls cut off," Naya murmurs making Heather smile and shakes her head.
"How do you know it was invented by a man?" Heather countered taking off her pajama pants and putting on a pair of black fitted leggings and a longer shirt for the plane ride.
"Women are smarter. Idiots...aka men, come up with shit like this." Naya defends nearly falling over while trying to take her pants off. Heather grabs her and helps her change.
"Let me help you...SOPHIA." Heather teased and Naya glared. Oh, Heather and her morning girls. Gotta love em'.
"Shut up, my legs are still numb from your tongue skills. I blame you." Naya huffs making Heather laugh.
"Of course you do, beautiful." Heather smiles.
The two girls walk slowly down the hallway into their daughter's room and open the door trying not to let the creaking sound wake her, which was odd because the whole point of coming in was to wake her up. Heather had lived with these two long enough to know that waking them up gently in the mornings was the way to go, especially when it was this early.
Heather and Naya approach the bed that's pushed up against the wall and Sophia is on the outside end with her arm hanging over the edge. Heather kneels and grabs her hand placing a sweet kiss on her knuckles which makes Naya swoon as she sits on the edge of the bed stroking her daughter's long hair.
"Baby girl..." Naya says softly and Sophia starts scrunching her nose up like a little bunny making Heather smile before she leans over and places several kisses on her cheek, forehead, and nose.
"Good morning sugarplum. Guess where we're going right now?" Heather asked as Naya looked on. She was so in love with Heather this morning it was unreal, I mean, of course, she is every day, but their morning had been amazing and now she gets to watch the love of her life treat their daughter in the same loving and respectful way she treats her is everything to Naya. She never thought she would have this.
"Momma, mami, Cabo baby!" Sophia mumbles and says the last part excitedly as she grins and rubs her eyes with her fists and opens those baby blues for the first time.
"Yeah, little love! Momma and I are going to Cabo...you wanna come?" Heather said winking and the little girl sat up quickly and nodded.
"Ok, baby girl. Let's go brush your teeth so we can pack your toothbrush and momma will put bunny and blankie in the carry-on in case you want to take a nap on the plane." Naya said.
Heather stood up and picked up their daughter and set her on the carpeted floor so she can go with Naya while Heather folds up her blanket and bunny and puts it right in the carry-on. Heather unfolds and lays out her Adidas leggings and white cotton short sleeve shirt, and sneakers for the plane.
It was currently 4:30 am and the girls were taking an Uber to the airport. Nobody wanted to leave their nice vehicles in long-term parking at a crazy airport like LAX so they were all meeting there. Since the girls had done all their packing last night, all they had to do this morning was change into the clothes they already had laid out and then brush their teeth making sure to put their toiletries back in the suitcases. Naya's phone went off and she grabbed it out of her purse while yawning. Heather glanced over as well and saw it as their group chat.
Incoming Lea: Where should we meet? I'm almost there.
Incoming Amber: I should be there in a few minutes too. Wondering same.
Incoming Harry: Jenna and I just got here. We can wait at the entrance but that would probably get the attention of every paparazzi that hangs out there. Should we all check in and just meet at our gate?
Incoming Lea: Sounds good. How are the early risers? Aka: Naya. Naya. Naya. Oh and Vanessa, Diana, and Sophia too. Ha! *crying laughing emoji*
Outgoing Naya: Never fucking again am I allowing you assholes to book our flights. 3:30 fucking AM I had to wake up?! Who does that? *middle finger emoji*
Heather grabbed her phone discreetly while holding it on the other side of her lap and just had to do it...
Outgoing Heather: I didn't hear any complaints from you *winking emoji*
Naya snapped her head around and grabbed her wife's phone with a smirk.
Incoming Chord: Go Hemo! *hands clapping emoji*
Outdoing Naya: Shut up trouty! Baby, you are so bad!
Heather stole her phone back teasingly and kissed her wife on the cheek.
Outgoing Heather: You said that exact thing this morning!
Outgoing Naya: We are talking about this later.
Outgoing Heather: Yes dear. *side kiss emoji* *10 red hearts emojis*
Incoming Kevin: Fucking whipped.
Incoming Diana: Wow, this was a lot before 6:00 am. Seriously guys, next time the normal people are booking the flights. Way too early.
Incoming Vanessa: For real. I don't trust morning people. Like spiders, they can't be trusted. How's Soph?
Outgoing Naya: She's thrilled now. Tired like me but excited. For some reason, she's excited to see all of you... *girl hands air IDK emoji*
Incoming Chris: Love my darling. *tilted laughing crying emoji*
Incoming Melissa: She's awesome! We can't wait to see her! I'm here so I'll check-in and meet you all at the gate *side kiss emoji*
"These are the people we are spending a month with..." Naya said shaking her head. Heather giggled glancing at each text that came in and looked at her wife
"You love each and every one of them and you damn well know it, beautiful," Heather said with a smile and Naya huffed but couldn't deny the love she had for them.
"Momma, Mami, this will be so super fun but make sure you hold me super tight in the big water, okay? I'm still a little bit afraid." Sophia murmurs as she sits cuddled between her mothers in the backseat of the Uber. Heather kisses her head and Naya grabs her hand.
"If you think for one moment that I am letting my baby girl go, you think again little lady!" Heather says making Sophia giggle and cuddle with Heather. Naya smiles at the interaction and looks up. "I'll hold the love of my life, too," Heather adds quietly making Naya blush. God, Naya turned into a different animal around this woman. She was incapable of acting like a normal human being around her even after ten years.
"I can't wait to see everyone! It will be like one big happy family!" Sophia said cheerfully looking so adorable squished between her mothers. Both Heather and Naya look down and smile at their little girl.
One big happy family.
The three arrived at the airport and Naya opted to carry Sophia while Heather rolled their two large bags along with Sophia's glittery pink rolling suitcase to the check-in desk. Their carry-on was set on top of the hard shell suitcase. God the strength Heather possessed was so damn sexy.
Once they were all checked in they walked through the airport and spotted their gate number. Right under the sign, they spotted Melissa, Vanessa, Lea, Chord, and Amber in the chairs waiting to board which wouldn't be for another twenty minutes or so. Sophia caught sight of them and started wiggling but it was way too crowded for Naya to let her run over to them without freaking herself out. They've had way too many incidents at this point to take any risks, especially in the madness that was LAX. Naya and Heather were overly cautious and insanely protective, but who could blame them?
Chord was standing up with his foot on one of the chairs tying his shoelace when he spots the little girl and her mothers approaching.
"There they are! Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed!" Chord laughs and Naya scowls with a small smile. She couldn't be as mad as she wanted to be due to the fact that she got some mind-blowing sex this morning. which everyone now knows about. She swears her legs are still not working right.
Vanessa and Sophia squeal and look at each other before holding each other's hands the instant Naya sets her down and they bounce around together in a circle.
"CABO BABY!" Vanessa and Sophia call out happily doing their little dances.
"What on earth is happening over here, if anyone asks I don't know any of you..." Harry says as he and Jenna approach the group, they were already here but had made a trip to the bathroom and grab water now that they were past security. Sophia runs to Harry who's only about ten feet away and Naya's heart rate still manages to spike. Heather comes up behind her and holds her in the way she knows calms her wife. Heather kisses her shoulder before whispering in her ear.
"Nothing will happen to our daughter, I'll make damn sure of that," Heather spoke honestly making Naya turn her head and smile.
"I know you wouldn't let anything happen to her. I'm sorry, I'm so neurotic now about her safety, plus I know my hormones are still raised from the process so my emotions are all out of whack. You shouldn't have to deal with that, I'm sorry baby." Naya says and Heather turns her around and places two hands on both of her upper arms and softly rubs them up and down.
"What on earth are you talking about? Deal with you? Honey, I've never head to deal with you. You are my wife for goodness sake. You're not something to deal with and you are sure as hell, not a burden. You are the love of my life, the mother of my daughter, and any future kids we may have. I am with you through everything." Heather says and Naya looks up at her and shakes her head.
"How do you always do that? You always know exactly what I need to hear. It's like you know me better than I know myself." Naya whispers as she stares into her wife's eyes completely unaware of all the eyes watching them. "I love you so much." Naya finishes and hugs her wife around the neck.
"Mhmm, I love you too my beautiful Naya. Please don't talk about yourself that way though, okay? It breaks my heart and I wouldn't allow anyone else to say that about you so I won't let you say that about yourself. That's my wife your talking about..." Heather counters and Naya blushes and looks down. God, she loved this woman.
"They had no clue we when arrived..." Kevin says from his place in one of the seats. Darren, Chris, Cory, and Diana are there talking to the others. Sophia is now in Chris' arms as they whisper and talk excitedly.
"We totally did..." Heather countered looking over at the four new faces. Heather was holding her wife from behind rubbing her hands up and down her hips making Naya smile. Heather leaned and whispered in Naya's ear
"I so totally didn't see them get there," Heather said making Naya giggle softly.
"You're so whipped Hemo..." Darren smirks shaking his head and all she could do is stick her tongue out and hide her face behind Naya making the others laugh.
"I thought the two of you were fighting?" Chord said and the girls look at him like they must have missed something.
"What are you talking about?" Naya asked and Heather was also looking at her blonde-haired blue-eyed friend confused.
"In the car. I thought we were going to see an actual argument and brawl between you two due to Heather's mouth." Chord says and Naya turns slightly and smirks. She did love Heather's mouth but for very different reasons.
"Okay first, this is not real housewives and I am not brawling with my wife," Heather replied.
"I plan on making her pay tonight..." Naya said wiggling her eyebrows.
"Jesus Christ." Chord sighed.
Twenty-five minutes later they are all getting into their seats on the large airplane and putting their luggage in the overhead bin. Before placing the carry-on up, Heather had taken out her daughter's blanket and bunny before putting the bag away because she figured Sophia was bound to fall asleep at some point after waking up so early.
They didn't buy first-class but rather the business priority seating right behind. Several people recognized them and waved excitedly but for the most part, people were respectful and just let them get through the airport like everybody else.
The flight was a nonstop direct flight from LAX to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. It was a large plane and there were 3 seats in each row and the plane was separated into two columns of rows. The seating arrangement was as follows:
Kevin Harry Jenna (aisle) Amber Chord Vanessa
Heather Sophia Naya (aisle) Diana Lea Cory
Darren Chris Melissa (aisle)
About twenty minutes into their flight one mom was finally able to get a screaming child to stop crying, or the little boy finally passed out from screeching his lungs out. the group figured he was about six or seven years old. Man are they eternally grateful that Sophia was always such a well-behaved little girl. Praise the Lord. Sophia did ask several times if she could make him happy and not cry, which they knew she of all people could manage to do, but they figured it would be best to leave it be. They were just glad that the screeching stopped.
A short time later an older lady who must have been around 75 or 80, that was sitting across the aisle closest to Melissa clearly recognizes all of them and turns around. She was extremely soft-spoken and endearing.
"I just wanted to let you all know my granddaughter is a big fan of your show. Wonderful work all you kids do. We watch it nearly every week together." the old lady says with a smile and pats Melissa on the leg. She was the sweetest old lady and the group responds with friendly smiles and gives a bunch of thank yous. She was such a sweetheart with her soft and genuine demeanor. She just seemed like everyone's grandma. It was impossible not to like her. Sophia looks up and smiles from where had her coloring book out and a box of crayons tucked between her and Heather.
"Hi, nice lady! I'm going to Mexeeco (Mexico) where are you going?" Sophia asked and the grandma looked like she wanted to just pitch Sophia's little cheeks in the way grandma's loved to do. Keep in mind their on a direct flight so everyone is going to the same place. The older woman smiles adoringly as does the rest of the cast who are listening.
"I'm going to Cabo, Angel." the old said back to the little girl.
"Wow...small world," Sophia replies amazed making the group and old lady chuckle. "What is your name, nice lady?" Sophia asked. Heather and Naya wanted to melt at how precious their daughter was. Heather reminded her to keep her voice down at the beginning of the flight and Sophia was still abiding by her momma's rules and continued to communicate very softly
"I'm Patricia, sweetheart, but everyone just calls me Patty," Patty says, and Sophia smiled and waved at the nice lady.
"My name is Sophia! This is my momma and my mami! They have regular names too but I never call them that, it's silly." Sophia announces and Patty smiles and nods. Heather and Naya look down at their little girl.
"Oh don't I know it sweet pea, my kids never called me Patty. I'm just their mom." Patty says and Sophia smiles before adjusting herself in the chair so she can peek over the top of her seat.
"This is uncle Darren, uncle Kurtsy and auntie Melly!" Sophia says patting their heads and causing the three to look back at her accordingly before saying hello to Patty. Sophia then sits on her knees with her legs tucked under her bottom and points to the row across from her. "And that's my auntie DeDe, Auntie LeLe, and uncle Cory!" Sophia says before poking her head up and looking at the seats directly behind them and pointing "That's uncle Bee, uncle Harry, and auntie NaNa!" Sophia takes a breath before pointing behind and across the aisle "That's auntie AmBam, uncle Chordy, and auntie Nessy!" Sophia said and took a big breath after saying all those names making Patty laugh.
"Oh my goodness! Well hello, kids! It's so lovely to meet you all in person. You all are so gorgeous and handsome." Patty said and the group gave their thank you's to the sweet lady. "You have a lot of people with you this morning, miss. Sophia!" Patty states delighting in talking to this young girl. Sophia smiles, completely enamored by her as well.
"They're my family. I love them." Sophia replies happily and the entire cast is looking at each other with loving looks.
"Are you on Vacation? What brings you to Cabo, Patty?" Chris asks from his spot in the row in front of Sophia and her moms.
"Well my husband passed away about a month ago and my daughter and son-in-law thought I needed to get away for a bit after all the funeral planning and arrangements so they are meeting me in Cabo. They live in Texas. Hopefully, it's a much-needed getaway." Patty said with a small smile and everyone just felt horrible for her.
"Oh Patty, I'm sorry. How long were you two married?" Naya asked from the aisle seat where she sat. Patty's upper body was twisted to the side so she could keep her feet out of the aisle.
"Oh, thank you, my dear. We would have been married 55 years in August. We were young loves." Patty said somberly and since the seatbelt light was off and people were roaming around Sophia got up from her seat between her mom's and made the couple steps to Patty before wrapping her in a big hug. They could all tell Patty was surprised by this little girl's actions but also incredibly moved. Naya was wiping tears because this was such a Sophia thing to do. Patty was humming and cooing completely grateful for the big hug as she petted and ran her hand down Sophia's long hair.
"Well, aren't you such a sweet pea? I really needed that, my dear, thank you buttercup." Patty said and Sophia smiled at the nickname but frowned again and leaned back to look at Patty.
"Are you all by yourself?" Sophia asked with scrunched up eyebrows as she leaned to the side noticing the two vacant seats beside Patty and she nodded
"I am all alone until I meet my family when we get there but I'm flying by myself, just me and my matching game which helps my old mind stay smart! It helps pass the time pretty quickly too." Patty says patting the little girl's head with her wrinkled hand that holds nearly eighty years of window and experiences.
"That makes my heart super sad, I don't want you to be alone..." Sophia mumbles and walks quickly over to the spot by her mommies and whispers close to their faces. "Mami, Momma, miss Patty's all alone and that makes my heart really sad, can I play a matching game with her?" Sophia asks with the utmost sincerity which makes their hearts overflow with pride at the compassion shown by their daughter towards the older woman who not long before was a complete stranger. Naya looked at Heather and was hesitant at first but then realized it was fine. Everyone here has been through security, she's close to eighty so what is she going to do? In addition, it's not like she can run off with Sophia, they're on a plane. Sophia was exemplifying the best part of humanity at this moment and there was no way they take this simple act of kindness away from her. Both Naya and Heather nod their heads and Sophia leans over to place a kiss on both of their cheeks and then reaches to grab her blankie and bunny from the middle seat before making her way over to Patty's row that was in front and diagonal from Heather and Naya.
"I'm back, Patty! Can I sit with you and play the game too so you are not lonely?" Sophia asked in her precious little voice, blanket and bunny in her right grasp against her chest. Patty looked surprised but adoringly at the young girl before glancing back at Naya and Heather. "Blankie helps make everything better. Now we can play!" Sophia says before turning to look at Heather and Naya and waving adorably. "Hi mommies!" Sophia whispered. Naya and Heather look at her blowing her kisses.
"Hi, beautiful," Heather said as they both smile at their beautiful little girl.
Heather was now in the middle seat since Sophia was sitting with Patty. Naya was leaning against Heather's shoulder and had both her arms wrapped around Heather's left arm holding her close
"She's the most remarkable little girl," Heather says proudly while glancing at the pair diagonal from them who were quietly giggling and knee-deep in a matching game on the iPad. There were a ton of 3D objects on the entire screen and once you found the two matching objects you dragged and dropped them into the bowl in the corner of the screen. Sophia was loving it. "Look how happy our daughter made Patty. All by just giving her the time and compassion." Heather said gazing at their daughter. Naya looked up from her shoulder and kissed Heather's jawline before laying her head back down and looking over at the two of them whose laps were covered by the blanket and they were smiling and pointing at the screen.
"She's the best thing ever. I love that little girl so damn much it's unreal." Naya said as she held onto her wife. A few seconds passed and Heather felt a tap on her shoulder and looked behind her as Jenna handed them a folded-up piece of notebook paper that looked like it was from a smaller travel-sized notebook. Heather grabbed it and Naya took her head off her wife's shoulder glancing back quickly and then focused on the note that was folded in half which Hearher opened revealing nine signatures and small messages. Harry leans forward to whisper between the seats in front of him where Naya and Heather were seated.
"Sign and have the three in front of you sign as well. We can give it to Patty for her granddaughter," Harry whispers with a wink and the girls smile and face forward and look down at the note. Everyone had signed their name and wrote a little message for the teenage fan. Heather was handed a pen over her shoulder from Harry and she grabbed it. Heather began writing a little message and signed the note before passing it to her wife so did the same before Naya folded it and handed it to the row in front of her where Darren, Chris, and Melissa were seated explaining what it was to them. Patty's granddaughter was sure to love this.
It was another half hour into the flight when the flight attendant started to walk down the aisle and hand out various drinks and snacks to the passengers. Sophia was leaning on Patty's side but the food caught her attention and she leaned up a little bit. Right as the young female flight attendant approached the first row where Darren, Chris, Melissa, Patty, and Sophia were, the stewardess hands Darren a bottled water before Sophia sighed in relief.
"Good timing! I was getting hungry," Sophia says exaggerating her thoughts with a deep breath causing the flight attendant to smile and everyone grins at the sweet little girl. Patty sets the iPad down on the seat next to her before grabbing her wallet from her purse and patting the little girl's thigh who was eyeing the snacks in front
"What would you like sweet pea?" Patty asked Sophia who scanned the cart as Heather pulled out her wallet but Patty motioned for her to put it back. "You keep your money, my dear," Patty said as Sophia turned back the older woman and shyly pointed at some crackers and a juice. Patty looked behind her at Heather and Naya making sure she could have those and they both nodded. Heather was holding out a ten-dollar bill in her hands hoping that Patty would take it but she refused. "You put that money away, darling, this is the least I can do for Sophia since she has been such delightful company for me," Patty replies as the female flight attendant takes her money and hands Sophia her bottled juice and the bag of crackers which patty helps her open before handing it back to her.
"Momma! Mami! Look what Patty got for me! Now my tummy won't be so angry anymore. Thank you, Miss Patty! You're super special!" Sophia says taking a bite of one of the crackers and leaning against the older woman. Heather and Naya look at Sophia and smile and mouth thank you's to the older woman who winks back at them.
Patty points her chin down at the little girl and smiles. "You are so welcome precious girl," Patty says with so much soul in that loving grandma tone that was always so endearing to everyone. Naya and Heather loved this woman. Naya and Heather overheard the two of them continue to talk about their respective gardens and all the colorful flowers they were growing. They talked about butterflies and rainbows because it was a conversation with Sophia so they had to come up at some point. Sophia giggled at Patty's stories about her cat getting into mischief. The two continued to chat and laugh the whole flight and talked about everything else they loved.
The flight was nearing the end as they were descending slowly which allowed them to see Cabo in the distance. Sophia was now in the window seat next since she was curious to see what it looked like.
"Patty hold my hand so I don't get sucked through the window, okay?" Sophia said seriously and Diana, Cory, and Lea chuckled from behind them as well as earning smiles and laughs from the rest. Naya and Heather had been listening to their talks nearly the whole time, they would try to have their own but when they heard something completely random from them they zoned in and paid more attention to their conversation instead.
"Of course, buttercup, you know it would be fun to try and be Tinkerbell but we should start a little bit lower," Patty replied looking out behind Sophia as the little girl nodded.
The flight attendant started coming around to make sure everyone's seatbelts were fastened for landing. Sophia must these her wins twists her head around.
"Oh, miss nice snack lady, I'm hot, can you open the window?" Sophia asked innocently and several passengers plus the cast laughed because that sure as hell would make them descend quicker.
"Oh, sweet pea, plane windows are glued shut, they don't open, it's a little different than car windows my darling, plus then the clouds would get in and they belong in the sky, right?" Patty explained and Naya looked up at Heather with a smile as they watched Sophia look up at the older woman with a wide grin because Patty's logic made perfect sense to her. The flight attendant patted the older woman's shoulder and kept moving.
"Oh yeah, the clouds have to stay in the sky!" Sophia nodded as they both looked out at the white puffy clouds that looked like cotton candy and squealed as the plane would fly through a cloud every so often. The plane began to prepare for landing so the seatbelt lights came on and Patty made sure Sophia was bucked in and wrapped one of her wrinkly arms around the little girl. "Oh, they're tilting so we can see better! How nice." Sophia said as the plane tilted down slightly so the view of the city became easier to see. This made Naya, Heather, the cast, and several other passengers look over and giggle. This girl was so precious throughout the entire flight and they think everyone was pretty fascinated by her stories.
"That was never nice of them to do, honey. now we can see so much better!" Patty said as she pointed around at different things that were coming into clearer view before the plane would drop and tilt slightly down little by little. Sophia squealed and said a little louder than intended.
"We're goin' down!" Sophia shrieked and the middle-aged woman in the seat in front of them panicked and startled awake looking around frantically. Sophia put her hand over her mouth and nobody could even scold her because, well, they were all laughing quietly and trying to keep their chuckles contained. Several other passengers were throwing their heads back in laughter when Sophia finally spoke up. "Oh, sorry sleepy lady, I meant we are landing not crashing. Go back to sleep." Sophia said innocently before leaning back and turning around to her mother, aunts, and uncles giving them an, oh shit look which made them all laugh harder. Patty hugged the little girl close and her own endearing giggles came out and she patted the little girl's knees.
Once they landed the flight attendant gave some instructions as to how they were to exist in an orderly fashion but were to remain seated until they reached a standstill. The attendant then went on to add something at the end of her speech, after the one she's probably recited a thousand times before.
"Would the person who left their ukulele in the front please come to claim it before you exit?" The female attendant said and Sophia nodded and talked to herself and started getting up Naya looks amused before speaking up.
"Sophia, baby, sit back down. It's not yours. You don't even know what a ukelele is..." Naya laughed as she shook her head with a smile. Sophia sinks back into the chair and everyone looks amused. "Doesn't mean I don't want it..." Sophia sighs making everyone laugh. This kid.
Melissa hands Patty a note and she looks at the young girl across from her questioningly and unfolds it to see little mini messages and signatures from the entire cast and her granddaughter's name at the top, Carrie. Patty looks up and around the seats at the cast who smiles back at her.
"Give that to your granddaughter, hopefully, she likes it," Lea says with a smile and Patty nods so appreciatively at these nice kids who took the time to do that.
"Oh you sweethearts, thank you so much! She will just adore this and I may just lose the rest of whatever hearing I have left when she gets ahold of this. Thank you my dears." Patty says and places the folded-up note in her bag and Sophia slumps in her seat and looks super sad.
"I'm going to miss you, Patty... you are my friend and now I'm sad because will I ever get to play the matching game with you again?" Sophia asks heartbreakingly making the group frown. Heather and Naya have a silent conversation. Patty had mentioned previously that she was in an assisted living townhouse in the valley so it's not like she lived several states away. She was likely around a half-hour drive give or take. Heather nodded as they looked back at the older woman who was giving their daughter a sweet grandmotherly hug while patting her back.
"You know what my dear if we are meant to meet again, we certainly will. I will surely miss you too, buttercup. You made my day little one." Patty said as Sophia released more tears at the thought of saying goodbye to her new friend. Sophia used her little balled-up fists to wipe her eyes as Patty hugged the little girl into her chest and patted her back.
Naya and Heather glance back and see all their friends on the verge of tears because these two people who were separated in age by seven decades, formed the sweetest little friendship and Sophia was truly heartbroken.
"Hey, little love, come here," Heather said as she saw the seatbelt light go off so she motioned for her little girl to come over to her. Sophia rubbed her eyes and came over to Heather. Her momma handed her a piece of paper and Sophia looked at it before looking back at Heather. "Give this to your friend, okay," Heather says and Sophia looks at it confused.
"What is it, momma?" Sophia asked and Naya motioned for her to bring it to Patty.
"Show it to your friend and we will tell her," Naya explained and Sophia shrugged before turning and walking the two steps to Patty as everyone was starting to reach into the overhead bins and get their bags out.
"What is this, angel?" Patty asked leaning back up after setting her purse on the chair and putting her iPad away. Sophia shrugs and points to her mommies who smile.
"It's our skype name, Patty so you two can catch up and talk. I know Sophia will be excited to show you all her flowers when we get home and maybe we can even meet your granddaughter at some point since you don't live too far away." Naya explained and Patty and Sophia looked at each other with big smiles.
"I get to see you again?! My heart is so happy!" Sophia squeaked and brought her fisted hands to her chin and bounced. Patty looked completely enamored and bent down as best as she could to hug the little girl.
"I am so glad we will get to talk again because you're the best little friend I've ever had. I would have missed you sweet pea." Patty says and Sophia hugs her tightly before looking at Naya and Heather with big eyes.
"Momma! Mami! I'm her best friend! I'm her best friend! Yay! Have your peoples call my peoples!" Sophia said making the older woman laugh and shake her head.
"I will have my granddaughter or daughter remind me how to use this fancy video call business since it's been a while but I will definitely call you my dear," Patty said before handing Naya a little piece of scratch paper that had her number on it. "Now your mami has my phone number so you can always call me, sweetie pie," Patty said and Sophia hugged her legs.
Who knew you could find your new best friend on a plane? Cabo was certainly starting off great for Sophia!
