Little by little, Sans could feel his soul grow closer to you; for every smile, every laugh to the way his name fell through your lips. All these small things attracted his soul to be near you, to hold you. A bright red soul filled with determination that glowed with so much love. A glow that shined everytime he looked at you.
So to have that lovely red light shatter in front of him, his soul couldn't bear it. His white soul couldn't imagine living without that light that it was so accustomed to see. Even with his brother and friends around, Sans felt unbearably lonely. Trapped in a reset that only he could remember, he was starting to lose hope of ever getting out of it. At first his brother had the same deja vu's as him but soon he too had stop remembering them. In a frozen world that only he was aware of, his soul desperately wanted to hold onto the only other soul that knew of them.
As Sans held your crumbling form, his soul had also tried to hold on to what was left of your fading soul. But when you had disappeared into nothing, his soul felt as if it would break as it tried to grab on to you. But neither him or his soul was able to keep you from leaving him. Not only was he all alone once again, but it also felt as if you had teared a piece of his soul with you. He wasn't sure he could handle it, the loneliness, the pain. He wanted it all to end, the constant resets... the meaningless days.
The world must love to see him suffer as he found himself drowning in the dark. The sickly sweet scent burned his senses as he tried to keep himself afloat in a sea of pitch dark sludge. Unable to fight it, he sank deep down into nothingness. The last thing he was able to hear before darkness consumed him was that laugh. That disgustingly tooth rotting cackle. The next thing he knew, his body slammed against his bed. The impact dragged out a silent scream as his bones burned with ice. The chill ran deep into his skull. Unbearable pain that elevated his body from the bed, almost as if his bones feared that the source of the pain came from the mattress itself. A high pitch ring added to the skull crushing pain that almost blinded him. A pain that stole his breath away as his soul shook painfully as if it would tear at any moment.
As a puppet getting their strings cut, his pain vanished as he flopped back onto his mattress. He struggled to breath as he turned to his side. His phalanges dugged into his bed as he tried to gather his bearings.
she changed... she changed back into that... thing!! i can't... not again. i can't go through that again...
Faced down on his pillow, he let his defeated sobs out. His tears of pain for the nightmare of seeing his loved ones turn to dust. His inability to protect anyone as one by one the demon hunted them down. Alone in his room, the pain wrenching tears of the small skeleton rang throughout the house. As the gentle snow fell upon the small town of Snowdin, the sounds of children laughing and the small chatters of the townfolk could be heard. Unbeknownst to them of the horror that would plague them.
A dream that was not a dream. A memory that never happened. A human he had no reason remembering. A tall skeleton stood in the middle of the snowy forest. Waiting. A promise he never made. A silent plea... the silent tears... The brave and kind skeleton waited in the snow. Waiting for a reason that should not exist. His soul waited for a special someone he never met.
《Papyrus...》 As soft as the fallen snow, he could hear his name in the empty woods. The skeletal monster turned around and his eyesockets open wide. Standing there with him underneath the falling snow was a person he should not remember.
Eyesocket devoid of any light, the short skeleton layed on his bed as he stared at his closed door. Never moving an inch, he continued to lay perfectly still. As the hours stretched on he could hear sounds of scurrying outside his window. The sounds of monsters shushing one another as multiple continued to pass his home. But soon the sound faded into an eerie silence. Laying like the dead in his darkening room, his mind was occupied by the genocidal memories. How quietly the slaughter of the monster kind went. No one aware of the horror that went on as their neighbors died until it was too late to run.
Being the last to survive, a monster with only 1HP, he saw all their deaths. Again and again he saw the different outcomes. Tired of it all, he had tried to prevent it all. But it ended in the most shortest run for him. He had left a note to his brother before facing you in the hopes of saving everyone's life. But you ended it quickly. Not knowing of what tragedy fell upon his loved ones, he took it to himself to stay alive till the end. A personal punishment for not being able to save anyone. That he at least owed them to watch over them, to be with them before they were dusted.
Even though it was what he vowed to do if genocide ever befell the Underground once more, he couldn't find the strength to get up from the bed. As he stared at the closed door, his soul frozed of what awaited for him on the other side. He wasn't sure if he could handle another run with the demon. The run where you had finally came back, he was so desperate to end it all. He was basically at the end of his ropes, that he had cried in shear relief that the nightmare had ended... or so he wished. He knew what he had to do, what he vowed to do... it was just so hard to find the reason as to why. His vision followed the dim light that casted over his door as it slowly went down. Once the light left the door, his door knob rattled.
After hours of laying still, his bones jerked at the unexpected movement. Slowly he got up before reaching for the door knob. He should feel scared. His soul should be shaking in fear. But instead it was filled with anticipation as it pulled him forward. Someone his soul wanted to see again stood on the other side of the door. He quickly flung the door open but was met with nothing. Before he could be disappointed, he heard it.
《Sans...》 he heard your voice behind him. His soul told him to turn but he was afraid. He saw you disappear and the demon return. The chill had yet to leave his room, telling him that he was still the only one in the room. That the warmth that you always brought with you was not in the room. In fact the room felt even colder. 《Sans?》 But there it was, your voice. 《What are you doing?》 Your once gentle laugh now held no warmth as you laughed in a monotonous matter. Seeing his breath, he gripped onto the door frame. 《Did you fall asleep standing again? Papyrus is going to be mad.》 His bones rattled before turning around.
In the darkness of his room, he could see the pink and blue sweater as you stood in front of him. It was you, his soul told him it was you... but something felt off. As the room continued to grow colder, he noticed what was wrong. All your color was saturated to such a bleak color that anyone would believe that you had just climbed out of a ditch in the middle of Snowdin forest after years of being buried underneath the snow and dirt. Your body looked as if it was hung as the tips of your feet dragged against the floor. Your neck gave a sickening crack as it tipped to the side. A small smile played across your face as loose strands of hair fell over. 《Gonna keep staring?》
"frisk?"
《Mhm...》
"h-how..." he could hear the stiffness in your cold body as you crossed your arms and tipped your head to the other side.
《Not quiet sure. I'm pretty sure I have no soul at the moment.》
"no... soul?" You looked at him before smiling wider. Your eyelids open up to reveal the dark orbs they housed.
《I gave it away. But even so...》 Dark liquid streamed down from your eyes,《I still have some of my determination.》 Your smile caused the room to grow colder as your black tears dripped onto the floor. 《Sans-》 you drew closer in a matter most inhuman. 《Stay determined. Don't give up.》 Your body pulled back into the shadows as Sans bones continued to rattle in fear. 《I have to go now..》
"w-wait!" Even though he was scared, scared of what he saw before him, he still didn't want you to leave.
《They're waking up...》 A whisper in your voice, your body fazed in and out of static. Sans grabbed onto your cold body to prevent you from going. But his action left his soul painfully cold. For it was true, there was no soul in the cold body in his arms. 《Sans...》
please don't go! i still haven't... i still haven't told you how much... i lo-
《Sans... I can hear your soul... why is that?》 He opened his eyesocket which he didn't know when they closed. Letting go of his embraced, he looked back at your cold face. Your question confused him. For only mated monsters could hear each other souls. His soul had no connection, just the coldness of being near you. Even if his soul wanted to connect, there was no soul to connect to. 《Sans... you can't love someone who's already dead.》 Your monotone laugh was the last thing he heard before you vanished completely. Leaving the lonely skeleton with just your final words to accompany him.
Alone once more, he curled into a ball. Wishing for it all to end.
"HUMAN!? I... I KNOW YOU. I... I..." The tall skeleton ignored the chill in his soul as he dugged around his 'not memories'. Seeing you stand before him, he could vaguely remember the things that never happened.
On his way to visit his brother at his sentry station, he came across someone else. Someone he didn't recognize was on their hands and knees on the snow as their body shivered. From where he stood, he could hear the person crying. Afraid that they might be hurt, he hurried to their side. Kneeling down onto the snow, he carefully placed his hand on top of their quaking shoulders. "ARE YOU HURT!? ARE YOU IN PAIN? I COULD ASSIST YOU IF-"
"I...I c-can't!! I-I don't want to hurt anyone!" Papyrus was confused as you tried to talk through your sobbing. Because to him, it sounded as if someone wanted to make you hurt someone. Gently, he helped you stand. "B-but I-I can't anymore!!" You painfully grabbed onto the spot that housed your soul. "No matter what I do, I can't stop them... I can't protect anyone!!"
"I MAY NOT KNOW WHO YOU ARE OR WHAT'S GOING ON IN YOUR LIFE, BUT I DO KNOW THAT..." Papyrus lifted your head by your chin as he smiled down at you, "IF YOU ALONE DON'T HAVE THE STRENGTH TO PROTECT THE ONES YOU CARE FOR THEN THAT IS WHEN YOU RELAY ON SOMEONE ELSE FOR HELP." Your eyes opened up as you stared at him in awe. Papyrus was in shock as he stared down at your eyes, for they were a warm brown with a hint of red that pooled their captors deeper in. They sparkled as your large eyelashes fluttered causing his soul to skip. Embarrassed at having stared at your eyes, he straightened himself up. "I BEING A ROYAL GUARD IN TRAINING COULD HELP YOU! FOR I AM THE GREAT PAPYRUS!!"
Freshly made tears fell from those big brown eyes of yours that made him question himself if he said something wrong. But then you laughed. You laughed so happily that he found himself blushing at how it made his soul flutter once more. Except that laughter went back to being sobs. He couldn't say that he knew you, but he could say that you were fighting multiple emotions that it was hard for him to keep track off. "Papyrus, please... please c-can you help me? E-even though I'm just a human?" He didn't know you were a human, even though he did feel that you weren't a monster either. He felt conflicted for his dream was to become part of the Royal Guard; which involved the capture of humans. "I-I don't think I could do it alone anymore..." Even though he wanted to accomplish his dreams more then anything, he didn't have the heart to push someone away who wanted his help.
Giving you nod, you smiled at him which warmed his soul even more. Quickly you told him of how you fell into the Underground and found that you had the ability to reset. That everytime you died you came back to the last placed you saved. Something about your story seemed... familiar to him almost as if he had heard it before, leaving out the part that came after because that all confused him if he was being honest. As you went on, you told of how you made the mistake of looking back. Which brought a vengeful spirit to rain genocide through out the Underground. Wanting to stop it, you gave up your own soul. Only to find out that it was wrong, that you would only end up killing everyone again. You tried to keep them away, but you were losing yourself again.
Papyrus had argued that if he could just talk to the person, maybe he would be able to change their ways. But his idea was shut down quickly when he saw the fear in your eyes. You backed away from him while mumbling how it was okay, he didn't have to do anything and how you would try again. Papyrus apologized and tried to convince you that he wouldn't do that. That he'd follow your instruction. He wasn't sure if you had heard him as you continued to cry out on how it was your fault, that no matter how much you tried you couldn't do anything. Seeing you break down once again, he pulled you in his arms.
"YOU DID YOUR BEST. IT'S GOING TO BE OKAY. SHH SHH... DON'T WORRY..." he petted your hair as he continued to calm you. His soul so close to your own, he let it pulse with calming magic. You've been through so much while trying to do everything on your own that the strain was taking it's toll on you. Now more then ever, he wanted to help you. As you settled down, he could feel how warned down you really were. Giving you a good squeeze, he let you go. "THIS PROBLEM OF YOURS SEEMS VERY... PROBLEMATIC. BUT THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN NOT DO IF WE WORK TOGETHER!"
"Thank you. You really are the greatest friend I could ever hope for."
"FRIENDS?! ARE WE REALLY FRIENDS!!?"
"The best of friends." Papyrus shouted out in joy of having acquired another friend that he spinned you around. Hearing you laugh was much better then hearing you cry. Putting you down, you looked at him once more with those deep brown eyes. "Papyrus, promise me something."
"ANYTHING FOR A FRIEND!"
"If you remember... after I'm gone..."
"GONE!? HUMAN, I SAID THAT I WOULD HELP YOU!"
"Please... if I can't... when... when I'm gone, please remember. Don't confront them."
"H-HUMAN I PROMISE BUT-"
"Don't try to talk to them! Just run! Please, run and save as many as you can." Not liking that you were on the verge of crying again, he promised you. Even though he didn't like the thought of his new friend giving up on the possibility of coming out alive. Wanting to change the subject, he grabbed onto your hand and took you away. The whole thing was taking a while for him to process, but at the moment all he wanted was to bring some hope back into you. What he didn't expect was to fall for you.
"FRISK?" The deja vu was a killer to his skull but seeing you perk up, he knew he got it right. The longer he tried to grasp onto those "not memories", the more they crumbled away.
《You remembered. That's good.》 Black tears leaked from your dark eyes as your body static in and out. 《I came to warn you that Chara is coming.》 Your eyes grew large with your warning, 《They'll kill everyone. I should know, I saw all of you die again... and again... and again.》 A small laugh leaked from your smile as the static continued. If he wasn't mistaken, he distinctly remembered you being... less scary. Shaking his head to regain some sense, you had appeared right in front of his face causing him to stumble back.
"NYHE!! HUMAN!! PLEASE REFRAIN FROM DOING THAT!!"
《Oops... wah ha ha ha ha. I forget how to move normally since being dead and everything.》
"AND ANOTHER THING, IF WE ARE GOING TO TEAM UP TO BATTLE WHATEVER IT IS WE ARE DOING, I WOULD RATHER YOU WOULD NOT REFER YOURSELF AS DEAD. Or Do That Creepy Smile." He mumbled that last part. You disappeared only to reappear behind him hanging onto his shoulder with your face close to the side of his skull as you stared at nothing.
《But I am dead Papyrus.》 Your creepy whisper drew a chill through his bones.
"NYEEEEE!!!! HUMAN, WHAT DID I JUST TELL YOU." He angrily screamed as he turned to face you. With no guilt to be found on your face, you continued to smile creepily at him and at the same time look so innocently which should not be possible. "BACK TO THE MATTER AT HAND, WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST WE DO?"
《Chara is immobile at the moment, so I suggest you evacuate everyone in Snowdin first.》
"YOU MAKE IT SOUND AS IF IT'S A SIMPLE TASK. HOW WILL I CONVINCE EVERYONE TO LISTEN TO ME!?"
《You're the great Papyrus, aren't you? There's no puzzle too hard for you to solve. I believe in you》
"REALLY!!?" Papyrus held on to his cheekbones as his eyesockets sparkled with glee.
《No,》 just as quickly, the tall skeleton deflated, 《but it's something I would have believed when I was alive. Right now, I'm kinda dead inside.》
"AGAIN WITH THE BEING DEAD THING. YOU'RE NOT GOING TO LET THAT UP ARE YOU?" He annoyingly asked.
《I don't think so.》 You answered as you played around with the black tears that kept rolling down your face. Papyrus grumbled as he took out a small handkerchief from his pocket and started cleaning your face and hand.
"WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WITH THIS CHARA CHARACTER? WE MONSTERS CAN'T BE HIDDEN FOR LONG." Having successfully cleaned you, he was about to put away the black stained handkerchief only to groan at seeing freshly made tears rolling down your cheeks. He gave you a warning glare when you were about to reach to play with it again.
《Chara... wah ha ha ha ha, what to do... what to do.》 You popped close to his face. You raised your hand and gave a few chops to the air in front of you. 《Cham cham cham.》He blinked in confusion before he made his way to Snowdin Town with you disturbingly following behind him. Who knew being friends with a dead human could be so ... werid!
"HUMAN, I HAVE TO GET MY BROTHER BEFORE I WARN EVERYONE ONE ELSE. HE'S... NOT BEEN WELL."
《Don't worry about him. Chara likes to save him for last.》 Papyrus didn't like the sound of that. 《I could warn him for you if it would make you feel better?》
"WILL YOU?" Your neck tipped to the side in a sickening snap and smiled before disappearing. He wasn't going to lie but you creeped him out, he was glad to be helping you against Chara though. Even if he felt himself relax more when your not around. Just being near you left his bones chill uncomfortably. But deep down in his soul, Papyrus knew he would rather deal with the discomfort then not to have you around. For as the "not memories" vanished, he could still see that image of a very alive version of you, smiling happily at him.
You were cold...
That's about it.
You couldn't feel anything else. No fear, no sadness, no guilt or pending hopelessness you had felt before. Perhaps a small weirdness of unable to remember how to control your limbs properly, which wasn't important. But one feeling did remain. Your determination. To save the monsters from the mess you have created. Even if the thought of them turning to dust didn't faze you now in your undead form. Well, that's why you had Papyrus. A brave skeleton who's heart was bigger then anyone you have ever met. You knew if you couldn't figure out what to do before you lost your soul completely, you had to relay on someone who believed the best in anyone. Because who else would listen to someone who was already dead. None other then Papyrus would believe someone could be good even when they were once covered in dust. You had hoped that if Chara could essentially "haunt" you, why couldn't you? As for Sans, he was the only monster who could keep toe to toe with Chara... for a while that is.
You haven't disappeared and because of that you were now able to warn Papyrus and give Sans the uperhand he needed to go against Chara. On the last run as your body shattered and a pair of cold hands grasped onto your soul, you used every shred of determination to keep yourself free from the new owner of your soul. When the world resetted you were without a body. Just a spectator trapped in the walls of the underground. You were able to see Chara laying on the same flower bed you always ended up on. Chara gasped out as they struggled to remember how to use their lungs. Their arm shot out as they tried to claw the ground in front of them. While they struggled to use their new body, you did the same.
With what was left of your shattered determination, you fought your way from beyond the cave walls. Chara distracted by their attempts to stand, they failed to hear the rumbling of dirt and rocks crumbling near by. Clumsily, you dugged yourself out from the walls. Your new spectral body was as cold as the dirt and stones you had crawled out of. Staticing in and out of focus, you followed Chara as they made their way through the Ruins. They listened quietly to Flowey and even followed Toriel without much of a fuss. But once Toriel left, Chara pulled out a red knife out of thin air.
Even though they wielded a red knife, their eyes filled with their own determination as they raised their hand towards the first Froggit, you didn't feel any fear for the monster's safety. But the second that the weapon was about to hit, you lunged forward. Your dead-like body fazed through Chara causing them to collapse onto the ground.
Save them!
Your ex-soul had pulsed and the determination that held you in one piece caused you to take action. Once the monster escaped, Chara quickly got up and searched around for who caused them to lose their chance to get EXP. "... Frisk?" Their eyes glowed as their smile widen. "Your still here... aren't you." You hung behind her as she tried to locate you. "Frisk... You can't save them you know." Unable to locate you, they went after the next monster. Just like last time, you caused Chara to collapse onto the ground. Over and over, you did the same thing giving the monsters the chance they needed to escape. "Frisk! Stop it! Don't you get it!? I need their EXP and it's not just for myself... I'm doing it for the both of us!"
You clung to Chara as she failed to get any EXP as they arrived to Toriel's home. The only type of dust on their body was of the very dirt they kept falling into. Brimming with anger, Chara's own determination aided her in the fight with Toriel that your mear shoving didn't work. Before Chara could take the final strike, you fazed into Chara's body and took control of their arms. Once inside, the skin felt tight around you as you shoved past Toriel and through the Ruin doors. What was once your soul, burned you the longer you stayed inside the body.
Standing outside in the cold snow, you let the body collapse onto the ground. You didn't understand how Chara was able to control you during the 1st couple of genocide runs because the short action alone caused you to choke in your own dead cold ashes. Noticing that Chara was unconscious, you took the chance to find the bones brothers. Satisfied that your previous action had let you sync with Chara so to warn you of their current state of when they would regain conscious.
... I hate them... I loathe every single one of them... the world would be a better place without them!!!
Freak!
Stupid!! Shit head!!
Bitch! You're such a whore!!!
I bet you liked it you piece of shit!!
Don't come near us, we don't want to catch whatever you have!
Why don't you just do us all a favor and die!
"Did you hear? They're actually going to take the freak to the hole!"
"Hahahaha! Who else would they pick?"
"I bet the monsters are going to chuck her back."
"Defiantly! Who would want to eat something that gross!"
"If they do, doesn't that mean that one of us is going to be picked?"
"Ha-ha-ha! Look at you, are you scared?"
"We could just close up the hole so then they have no way of throwing her back."
"Oh my god, you guys are so stupid! Monsters would eat anything, even dirt like her."
"...Hey... do you think the crops will stop dying if the elders do choose her?... It doesn't sound right-"
"Heck if I should know."
"Of course it will work! Didn't you hear them, it's her fault in the begining! Ever since she came to our village we had less food every year!"
"Why do you care so much?"
"You were always nice to that freak..."
"I bet you like her... don't you! Monster lover!"
"NO! I-I'm not... I... I don't... like her. W-why would I like a f-freak... like her."
"I know right.. hmm?"
"Shit, the freak is here."
I hate them... I hate every single one of them! As I stood behind the old oak tree, each and everyone of them ran. They all ran as they laughed back to their stupid parents. Even him... Doesn't matter how nice they are at the begining, at the first sign of being accepted to a bigger group... they'll betray you.
Humans are the worst type of creatures in this planet. They enjoy causing pain to others as their victim beg for mercy. They are vainful creatures who would do anything to seem better then those around them. Even at a young age, children go out of their way to be "loveable" for their own benefits. But they are just as bad as their adult counterparts as they derive their fun from the torment on smaller creatures. Small animals that come to them for protection, food and shelter only to be received by stones being thrown at them accompanied by insults and laughter.
Abandon at a young age, I had to fend for myself. Every human I came across disregarded me as nothing more then filth. Even the couple who took me in only did so for their own benefit. Demanding me to steal whatever I can for them, even if it ment getting hurt in the process. Putting up with all their beatings and insults for the hopes of a roof to shelter me from the cold nights. But now the poor little villager's crops have decreased, their livestock were dying, winter was approaching and they all looked at me as the cause of it all.
As the freak with red eyes they choosed me to calm their paranoia and panic. A village that sat at the base of Mt. Ebbot, had a story. A story told to children of the monsters that lived buried underneath the mountains. That when angered, the monsters were feed misbehaving children to quenched their hunger. A silly children story turned to their only means of solution. With no reason or rhyme they choosed to believe that was the reason for their low producing crops and dying livestock.
Hearing their plan, I tired to escape but what can one child do against a whole town. Beaten to a pulp, they tied me in the dead of night. I struggled against my restraints, never giving up as they dug into my flesh. My determination helped me fight against the pain as my blood helped loosen the binds. None of the villagers were aware of my action as they passed the mysterious hidden building near the mountain. But as luck has it, a worse fate was in store for me. An explosion occurred near the mob that carried me. In the commotion I was blindsided by the wreckage before losing conscious by the trampling villagers as they fled the scene. When I awoke, I found myself strapped to a chair being overlooked my a person wearing a long white lab coat.
They poked and prodded me. Testing my determination to live with their constant tests. Injecting unknown liquids into my blood and for what!? A stronger soul? Humans... all of them are so petty and I was sick and tired of them all. The first chance I got, I found the closest weapon and silt the doctor's throat. To see a human slumped to the ground and seeing their pathetic life fade from their eyes as the red fluid rushed out of their body... well, I would be lying if I didn't enjoy it. The joy of not having to hear them, to see them... it was a thrill I never felt before. It was a shame that their flithy blood got on the sweater I manage to steal from their disregarded closet. Didn't know that I liked the color green until I saw that sweater.
Escaping the testing room, I spotted multiple scientists carrying away all their failed experiments. Oh how much I wanted to end the lives of these so called scientists to end their constant torment on other subjects, but something inside me told me to run. I wasn't strong enough to go against them all. But where to go?
With no home to go to, I went to the one place no one would come looking for me, the legendary Mt. Ebbot. Luckily for me, those strange scientist were held up at that equally strange building I saw before the blast. I would rather condemn my life to the unknown then give the satisfaction to those humans. Even knowing that I might not survive the fall, I would gladly die then let them kill me. What I didn't expect was to be found by an actual monster. Out of fear, I had tried to warn him from getting any closer. But what I saw on his face was something I have never seen before... compassion. A stranger was actually worried about me.
Underneath the earth where the time of the outside world did not effect it, I lived out my life amongst the monster. For once in my wretched human life, I felt at home. I had gain real loving parents and even a kind brother. It was a dream to feel so much love. But like all dreams, they had to come to an end. Monsters were miserable and desired nothing else but to be free. If only they knew what a tainted filthy world it really was. That humans stained the outside world and I wanted to keep these naive monsters out of it. But my dear innocently adorable Asriel... oh how he wanted to see the sun, the stars and most of all the long field of flowers. I will take the blame for that, seeing how I told him time and time again of my favorite flower field. Which now left me with a large watery eyes of small goat boy.
Now how could I saw no to someone like that? So I conducted a plan. A plan that strung from an accidental cooking fail involving a certain flower. Brother dearest didn't like my plan, but I assured him that it would make his dreams come true, that it would make all the monsters dream come true. Seeing the tears on his soft fur brought such joy to me. With no room for arguments I swallowed those golden flowers, stem and all. It was a bloody painfully dull moment for me. Who knew dying could be so boring but at the same time so liberating. I knew the moment my soul fused with his soul because it was the moment I could finally see again. Through the eyes of Asriel, I watched as he gathered my dead body through the barrier. With my determination, I took us to those field of flowers.
I could feel the awe he felt as he saw the clear blue sky, the wind in his fur as he stood in that field. But his tears still rolled down his furry cheeks as he held my body close. Unfortunately a villager had spotted him. Even though it was what I wanted, the outcome was not. In exchange for the monster's freedom, all I wanted was the human's demise. Except my determination wasn't enough! I couldn't make Asriel kill them!! My screams for murder turned to pleading him to defend himself. But he didn't listen! He just let them hurt him! He was stronger then all of them put together!! So why didn't he fight back!? I screamed and begged him to at least run to no avail. In the end, he had returned to the underground to kneel on top of the small patch of yellow flowers. As he dusted away, he never once let go of my body. His dust covered the flowers as my determination seeped into the ground.
My determination festered as my hatred of the humans grew. As time passed, I saw numerous human souls pass by. But none called out to me, until I met you. Your soul was perfect. Your determination to live was so enticing as the wounded soul bled with years of torment. Your body... your mind... your soul... I wanted it all. Everything that was you, I wanted it... I needed it. With you I could finally finish what I wanted all along. To end the disgusting human... Even if it ment dusting a couple of monsters on the way. Cause with your soul and the monsters EXP, no one would be able to stop us.
But as I layed on the frozen ground face down, I was starting to think that maybe you didn't see the world as I did; you know, just a thought that just crossed my mind. (Disregarding the multiple times you dismissed my plans.) Cause here I thought we were one and the same, that you would understand me. Even when you frolicked around with your little monster friends. But no, you used that newly dead-like corpse of a body to faze through me, just to shock my new heart into cardiac arrest. You didn't have the decency to possess me the right way. Well, I was dead longer then you, so you probably didn't know how, still it's not an excuse to leave me alone.
I never left you alone... no, every minute you stayed underground... I was there with you. Everytime you got closer to them and let them touch your heart... I was there with you. How dare they touch what was mine... my dear dear Frisk... doesn't matter how many times you reject me, because one way or another you will see that I'm the only one for you. You are mine and mine alone... and I won't let them take you away from me!
《Mumbling to yourself again?》
"Frisk!" Chara gritted as they struggled to stand back up. "So glad to hear you again, mind telling me where you went?"
《Just a little stroll around.》
"Heh, went to see your precious boney friends?"
《Wah ha ha ha... Who knows...》
"Naive little Frisk, when will you learn that it's pointless to try to stop me?"
《Why stop when it's so much more fun.》 You curled your cold ghostly arms around Chara's neck from behind, not bothered by the soft burning sensation your soul gave off from being so close.
"Dead little Frisk do I hear enjoyment out of you? And here I thought I would have a small crying angel following me." Chara could almost feel your cold chin resting on top of their shoulder as you held onto them as they walked through the woods of Snowdin. "Instead it looks like I have myself a falling angel instead." Passing the small bridge, Chara's eyes glowed brightly red. "Fallen angel, why don't we find our favorite comedian." They laughed as they made their way through Snowdin.
