What would have happened if Jane and Maura got together after the season 1 finale? This is what I think happens. I will be rewriting key scenes in episodes to make them more Rizzles as well as adding some new very Rizzles heavy scenes. Pure fluff. A little hurt/comfort. Always a happy ending.

The boundary Jane and Maura have between their friendship and their sex life falls apart when Jane shoots herself to take down a criminal. In the aftermath, a struggling Jane pushes Maura away while Maura realizes that she's fallen for Jane. Aka, pining former fwb Rizzles attempting to deal with their trauma and feelings like I wish they had on the show. AU, starts from S1 finale.

Maura has settled in another country. Jane, the one to blame for her leaving, makes a soulful journey to find her. There is no real angst in this. It's just two souls doing a lot of work to come back to each other. The last chapter is totally hot and steamy. The rest of the story stands alone so I'll post it. It's T rated up until the last chapter. Then it's a big M!

AU- Jane Rizzoli goes on a summer class trip to Paris, not expecting to meet someone who will soon become a very important person in her life; not without overcoming some obstacles along the way. a sort of coming of age Rizzles story.
