After freeing Dungeon Man, clouds cleared up for Kirby, Yoshi, Doctor Mario, Bowser, Pichu, Wii Fit Trainer, Duck Hunt, Villager, Pac-Man, Little Mac, Inkling Boy, Isabelle, Joker, Terry and Min Min to see the path ahead of them. It appeared to be some kind of canyon. They rescued Geodude before turning right and looking at a train on a track. "Wow! Look at that!" Isabelle said.

"That track stretches out." Pac-Man said. "Think there's anything there?"

Joker looked at the team.

"This might lead somewhere."

"Does anyone know how to operate these kinds of trains?"

"Don't look at me." Bowser said.

Terry shrugged. "Sorry. Rode in one but never drove one." He glanced at the spirits behind them. "What about you guys?" They all shook their heads. "No, huh? Maybe one of the others knows."

"They all have their own assignments." Wii Fit Trainer said. "There's another path we can take. We'll ask them about this later."

"Wii Fit Trainer's right. Let's move along for now." Isabelle said.

Next the team rescued Walhart before coming across a destroyed bridge. Cyrus & Reese went right to work fixing it so they could reach a treasure box. They then went east then south to find Felix then found a dojo guarded by two Sheik copies.

Pichu gathered Star Force Mega Man and Cyrus & Reese, giving him a Ore Club as he went to Sukazu Castle. The copies jumped towards him, but he swung the club, and a tornado flew into them, pushing them back and allowing him to jump over the gap and hit them with a forward aerial. He then swung it repeatedly hitting them with more tornadoes until he hit one of the with the club itself KOing it. The other copy came at Pichu from behind. He threw the club at it pushing it back before spotting a Blue Shell and throwing it. The copy grabbed a Freezie and threw it into Pichu freezing him. While he was frozen the copy charged for a forward smash, but the Blue Shell swooped in and exploded on it. Pichu burst free and ended the fight with back aerial.

Pichu returned with the spirits. "Wow, you guys made quick work of those two." Isabelle said. "So are they-

Kat & Ana floated over. Not as spirits, but in physical form. "Surprise! Kat and Ana make their appearance!"

"Train together with us!"

"So, you run this dojo?" Terry asked.

"That's right!"

"What style do you teach spirits?" Pac-Man asked.

"Why the Ninja Style of course!"

Ana held up a sign. "If we teach our style, theeeeese are the effects!"

Isabelle read it. "Major Increase: Throw Power. Grab Power, Item Power, Move Speed, Fall Speed. Major Decrease: Attack Power. Special-Move Power. Defense. Weight."

"Let's just leave them some spirits and get a move on." Bowser said.

The ninjas cheered. "Yaaaay! Exciting!"

"Bye byyye!" the two waved as the fighters departed. A bolder blocked the team's path but Poppy Bros. Jr. got rid of it. Continuing north the rescued Diggernaut, before ascending up a mountain where they found the Eggplant Wizard and a treasure box.

They then went down and headed east again rescuing Cammy, much to Chun-Li's surprise. "Cammy?"

"Chun-Li? What's happening?"

"You girls know each other?" Terry asked.

"We do." Chun-Li nodded. "She's a good friend of mine who helped me on a number of cases."

The nearby clouds parted, and the team saw a volcano before them. "Don't tell me we gotta go up there…" Pac-Man groaned.

"What's wrong with this place?" Bowser asked. "Looks pretty nice to me. I might make a castle here later!"

"We don't have a choice." Isabelle replied. "I can see more copies up there."

Chun-Li nodded. "Cammy, join us. I'll fill you in as we move."

"Of course."

The path split so they started with the left path where they freed Zebesian and opened another treasure box. Then on the right path Poppy Bros. Jr. blew up another rock, letting them ascend up the volcano where the freed Medeus, Squawks, Daruk, and James McCloud before opening another box. Then they went left passing the peak of the volcano where they rescued Volcanion and Metroid, then spotted something. A blond woman in a blue bodysuit standing on a pad with blue rope like light wound around her body. "Wait…Is that Samus?" Terry asked. "Good grief, don't tell me she got captured again already!"

"No, no, no, this is a different version of Samus." Isabelle replied. "In her world she was stranded on a planet without her Power Suit after her ship was shot down before the worlds merged. We call her Zero Suit Samus."

"I'll help her out." Wii Fit Trainer took the spirits of Boom Boom & Pom Pom along with Dungeon Man. She tapped the stand and Zero Suit Samus was released from her bonds, but still under Galeem's control. She got down with her red eyes opened and pointed her Paralyzer at the Wii Fit Trainer and they were sent to Omega Brinstar Depths.

The Trainer used Heeder, but Zero Suit jumped and deflected the ball with Plasma Whip. She grabbed Zero Suit Samus and threw her up then jumped and used a neutral air. When she landed, Zero Suit Samus shot her with Paralyzer then used a forward tilt. She ran into Wii Fit Trainer's three hit combo followed by a dash attack. Zero Suit grabbed the trainer and tossed her down, then used a Boost Kick. When they landed Wii Fit Trainer used a forward smash to knock her back and spotted a Banana Peel. Zero Suit recovered then used a down smash to stun the trainer and followed up with a forward smash. As Wii Fit Trainer was launched, she threw the Banana Peel. As Zero Suit Samus ran at her she slipped on it. Then Wii Fit Trainer dash attacked her while she was on her rear and as the bounty hunter came down, she landed on a up smash that finished her.

Zero Suit groaned as she awoke. Wii Fit Trainer helped her up. "Thanks for freeing me from that nightmare."

"Don't mentioned it. We actually just freed your…armored twin."

"How did you guys get free?"

"We have these three and other fighters that appeared after we were captured to thank for that." Isabelle said as she gestured to Min Min, Joker and Terry. "These three are Joker, Teryy, and Min Min. They all came from different worlds."

"I see. Sorry you got caught up in this as well."

"We had no choice."

"Why are you apologizing?"

"Nice suit."

"What he said." Terry pointed at Joker. "We were kinda tossed into here."

"Where do we go from here?"

"More of us are investigating other areas of this world." Pac-Man said. "So, we were looking north but I think this is the highest we'll get."

Bowser noticed a trail nearby leading to more clouds. "Hold up. Looks like there's something there."

They went down the path and in front of the clouds was a Marth copy. "I'll take this." Zero Suit Samus walked up to it with Elec Man and Murch. They were sent to the 3D Land. She dash attacked but the copy dodged only to get hit by a forward smash from behind. As the stage started to move, the battle continued. The fighters kept moving forward as the stage transitioned. The copy hit Zero Suit with a down smash before she used a up tilt. It used a Dancing Blade that knocked her onto a music block that bounced her onto a grated platform. The copy jumped on it before it took off. Zero Suit Samus got on the top platform. As it followed, she stunned it with a down smash then used a up tilt to knock it into the air. She then finished it off with Boost Kick.

Zero Suit Samus came back with Prince Peasley's spirit. The clouds cleared and a giant beansprout appeared before them. They walked over to it. "What is this?" Isabelle asked in wounder.

Joker looked up. He tapped Zero Suit Samus' shoulder and pointed. Terry looked up. "Hey, look up there on the clouds! It looks like more copies are up there."

They all looked up. "On the clouds?" Isabelle asked. "That's crazy!"

Terry scratched his head. "What is this, Jack and the Giant Beanstalk?"

"Jack and the what now?" Pac-Man asked.

"Seriously? Guess that story doesn't exist in your world. "It's about some guy who climbed up a giant beanstalk made from magic beans to reach the clouds."

"Magic…" Bowser looked down at the sprout. A lightbulb appeared over his head. "I got it!" He snapped his fingers. "Hey, Kamek!"

Kamek's spirit appeared. "You rang sire?"

"Get some magic in this sprout and make it grow would ya?"

"At once your evilness!" He went into Dr. Mario who produced a magic wand. He spun it around and a strange light went into the sprout. It started glowing green. Then it rose up to the white clouds above them.

"Creative." Zero Suit smirked. Inkling Boy and Pichu jumped for joy.

"This really is Jack and the Giant Beanstalk." Terry muttered as they climbed. "Think we'll find a golden egg laying goose up here? Or an ugly giant?"

Joker grinned.

"If we find the goose, I call dibs."

"I thought Bowser-sama was the giant."

The team broke into laughter save for Bowser who growled from behind. "I heard that!"

At the top of the beanstalk the freed Centurion. They stepped onto the clouds and freed The Odyssey as they passed by a ship. They decided to start by going south where pink clouds were separated from them via a pink rainbow. "How do we get past this?" Pac-Man asked.

Suddenly the spirit of Ho-oh appeared and howled as its wings glowed. The rainbow became a solid bridge. "Thanks." Terry waved. They crossed over to the pink clouds. To the west was a dojo guarded by a copy of King Dedede. Yoshi took Cammy, Ho-oh and Centurion, before heading out to a Battlefield Palutena's Temple with a Staff. He immediately fired but the copy jumped over the shot. The copy got a Gordo out, but Yoshi jumped and snipped it with the Staff firing it back into the copy. He fired repeatedly until he ran out of ammo and tossed it. Then the copy threw a Bob-omb at him. Yoshi got up and jumped and used down air on it then a down smash. He then spotted a Bomber and held it up. As the copy ran up to him, it exploded launching it up. As it came down Yoshi flailed a Hammer at it, KOing the copy.

Yoshi landed in front of his friends. "Wha, ha, ha oh, ho! Why, hello there!" Dyntos stood behind them.

"You also got your body back." Wii Fit Trainer said. "Are you here to train spirits?"

"Ah, perceptive! This way, to my Dojo if you will." They followed him inside. The spirits with them became physical beings again. "I, Dyntos, am teaching others my Equipment Style."

The Centurion's jaw dropped. "Y-you're Lord Dyntos?! God of the Forge!"

"God of the forge?" Terry asked. "This guy says that Pit fellow is his captain…Are you from the same world as him?"

"Yes, if I recall Palutena set out with her errand boy and his twin to go after that Galeem nuisance. I take it Pit's been freed if you met him, Terry Bogard."

"Yeah, we- Terry froze. "Wait, how do you know my name?"

Dyntos laughed. "Ho, ho, ho! Don't underestimate the gods! Ask Joker, there are beings out there beyond your imagination. Like that Yalabaoth fellow." Joker gasped. "Ah, and Min Min, that was fine work at the ARMS tournament. Huge fan of those games. No doubt that belt will bring a lot of attention to that ramen shop of yours!"

"Yup. You're a god alright."

"To answer your question Lord Dyntos sir." The Centurian said. "Well, I just got the story myself, but it seems the Captain was freed from Galeem. But both Lady Palutena and Dark Pit are still his prisoners."

"Hmm. That's not good. Welp, not much I can do as it is. But I can boost your spirits with my style." He pointed to a sign on the wall with his hammer. "If I teach you my style, these are the effects it'll have!"

Zero Suit Samus read the sign. "Increase: Item Attack, Healing Amount. Decrease: Attack Power, Special-Move Power, Throw Power. So, it's all about making the most out of items."

"Well as Yoshi here demonstrated, they are great for changing the tide of battle." Isabelle said.

"Well said." Dyntos grinned. "Now, what'll it be?"

Four spirits were inside the dojo as Dyntos stood outside to see the fighters off. "We appreciate your support." Wii Fit Trainer said.

"Glad to help. Just be careful. Also, Pit is with your team, yes?"

"He went with King Marth's group to go after the light from Galeem." Isabelle replied. "We think taking it out will destroy Galeem's barrier."

"Give that angel a message for me. Palutena is one thing. But the fact that Galeem can overpower me means he's stronger than any of us gods. That includes Hades. He must be faced with caution. That goes for the rest of you too. He is more dangerous than any opponent that any of you have ever fought. Your only hope is to stick together and combine your strength."

Joker bowed his head.

"We will not fail."

"We'll pass your message."

"Thank you, Dyntos-sama."

"We'll send some more spirits to train once these ones are done." Pac-Man said.

"I'll be waiting." Dyntos turned to the spirits left in his care. "Now then, let's see what kind of power you've got…"

The team continued searching the pink clouds. They freed Flying Man, then found another captive fighter. "Who's the kid with the neat cap?" Terry asked.

"That's Ness." Wii Fit Trainer replied.

Little Mac approached with the spirits of Sagat, Excitebike, and Expresso. He freed Ness and stepped back as his opponent landed in front of him. They were sent to a Omega Magicant. Little Mac ran up and punched Ness with forward smash. He pounced with a Jolt Haymaker, but Ness jumped over it and spiked him with down air. Little Mac rolled away then did a forward tilt on Ness. He tried to dash attack but the boy dodged him. Ness jumped and kicked him back with back air. "PK Fire!" He shot a spark that scorched Mac. Then grabbed him and threw him off the stage. "PK Thunder!" He summoned a spark that flew at Mac, but he dodged it in midair then landed back on the stage. Then Little Mac turned into Giga Mac and unleashed a fury of powerful jabs before his Final Smash instantly KOd Ness with an uppercut.

Little Mac came back, and Ness landed on the ground in a daze. "Ness!" Jeff and the fighters hurried over.

Pac-Man squinted at Little Mac. "Was that really necessary?"

Poor Ness was in a daze as Terry helped him to his feet. "Easy there, kid."

"You, okay? Ness?" Jeff asked.

Ness shook his head to clear his mind. He looked up at Terry with a confused look. "Ness, meet Terry, Joker, and Min Min. They showed up after Galeem captured us and started going around freeing us from his control." Zero Suit Samus said. "We're gathering up the others before we try again. You in?"

Ness nodded his head. "Okay."

"That's the Ness I know!" Jeff smiled. "I lost my body, but me and the other spirits will lend you our power."

"Alright! Let's get going!" Pac-Man said. He spotted an orange pipe. "Hey look. Another one of those warp pipes."

A King K. Rool copy approached them with a Peach copy. Ness stepped up with the spirits of Flying Man, Brewster, and Jeff, and was sent to a Battlefield Skyworld. Brewster nullified the slumber floor's effects. Ness jumped down and used a up smash on the peach but was hit by the K. Rool's Crownerang. When the Peach landed in front of Ness he hit both copies with forward smash and ran to the edge of the stage. "PK Flash! A green spark flew over and blasted the Peach copy finishing her. The King K. Rool recovered to the stage. "PK Fire!" Only to get hit by flames. Ness jumped and used a neutral aerial then double jumped and used another. "PK Thunder!" He then directed his spark right into him from behind and finished the copy with a powerful charge.

Ness returned with the spirit of Wart. "Not bad kid." Terry grinned they then went over to the pipe. "So where do you think this leads?"

"I'll take a look." Pac-Man said before jumping onto the pipe. A few moments later he returned. "Looks like it leads back to that maze we left the others at."

"Well at least getting back got a lot easier." Bowser said.

"For now, there's still more to explore on these clouds." Zero Suit Samus replied. "Let's head back."

The team returned to the ship in the clouds and went left this time. And they spotted a treasure box to the south. They obtained the spirit of the Pegasus Sisters and proceeded to the islands floating in the clouds where they saved Revali, Super Star, Chao, Tiki, Mallow, the Spirit Who Loves Surprises, and Hewdraw before coming across something odd. A giant star with a portal. "Hello, what do we have here?" Pac-Man asked. They all went inside.

When they came out, they were faced with a stretched-out trail split into three paths. The paths connected to each other at multiple points. But most notably the path was practically paved with food. "Whoa!" Terry said. "Who just left a bunch of food all over the place?!"

"How far does this path go?" Zero Suit Samus asked.

"Well, I could go for a snack while we search." Pac-Man said. Then he had an idea. "Hey Kirby! You up for a little eating contest?"

Kirby was excited at the thought. "Poyo!"

"Yoshi, Yoshi!" Yoshi walked up as well.

"You want in too Yoshi? Okay, here's the plan. Whoever gets the most bites in before reaching the end first wins! You can go left or right but not turning back!"

"Eating while exercising can be bad for your digestive system." Wii Fit Trainer said.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, let the kids have their fun." Terry drew a line in the dirt. "Okay you three, behind this line." Kirby Yoshi and Pac-Man lined up in front of the line. "Yo Joker, can I borrow your gun real quick?" Joker took his firearm out of his coat and started twirling it around. He then tossed it up and caught it by the barrel and held it towards Terry to grab the handle. "Heh. You've been hanging out with that Ocelot guy too much." Terry stepped aside and looked at the racers as he held the gun up. "On your mark…get set…GO!" He fired into the air and Yoshi, Pac-Man and Kirby dashed ahead.

As they ran by they grabbed any food they found. Pac Man was about to get a chocolate bar, when Kirby swooped in from his right and ate it. Kirby was about to get a melon, but Yoshi snatched it with his tongue. They continued running ahead while constantly switching between paths. Eventually they crossed a black and white checkered line. Yoshi collected 6 food items. A spirit appeared over the three on the pedestal. Pac-Man scored 8. A spirit appeared on the two of the pedestal. Finally, Kirby scored 11. A trapped fighter appeared over the one on the pedestal. "I think you got us there Kirby. Well played." Pac-Man bowed. Kirby did a victory dance that was interrupted when the spirit Yoshi won turned into four Kirby copies that approached him. Kirby rushed in to fight with Cammy, Mallow, and Metroid. The one Pac-Man won turned into a Pac-Man copy. "I got this one!" Pac-Man took in Magolor, Super Star, and Crusty Sean.

As they left for their battles, Joker and the others caught up. Inkling Boy was munching on a bag of popcorn that was missed, Isabelle was eating a strawberry shortcake, Joker had pancakes (that immediately made him think of a detective friend of his) Wii Fit Trainer was drinking milk, Zero Suit Samus was drinking soda, Pichu ate some cheese, Ness was eating a Pizza, Duck Hunt were each eating shrimp, Little Mac had a chocolate bar, Dr. Mario was eating a rice ball, Villager ate a apple, Min Min had a plate of spaghetti in her hands, Bowser tossed a steak into the air and caught it in his mouth, eating it in one gulp, and Terry chowed down on a burger. "That place is amazing, food was just growing back as we followed you guys." Isabelle said.

"Find anything?" Terry asked. Yoshi pointed at the lights that swallowed Pac-Man and Kirby. Then they all say the fighter. "Uh…Is that the golden egg laying goose? He put on a few pounds."

"No, that's King Dedede." Zero Suit Samus said.

Ness looked at the king sadly. He still remembered how Dedede's foresight allowed the two of them along with Luigi save the fighters that Tabuu wiped out. "Let me handle this." Bowser stepped towards the pedestal with Xerneas, Ashnard and the Great Fairy spirits. He slapped the stand King Dedede was on and he came down holding up his hammer. "Let's go big guy. You and me! King vs king!" Ness watched Bowser roar as the two kings confronted each other. Now it really was just like back then. Only this time he was hoping the other king would be the victor. They were sent to an Omega Fountain of Dreams.

Kirby appeared in Dream Land GB. He dash attacked into two of the copies, but one of them knocked him out of his attack with a forward smash. Kirby got up and dash attacked again and followed up with a neutral jab combo that knocked one of them out of the stage. Then he was hit by a Hammer Flip. He ran up and defeated a second copy with a forward smash, then beat a third with up smash. Finally, he Inhaled the fourth one, waddled to the edge of the stage, and spat it out into the blast zone.

Meanwhile, Pac-Man was in Green Greens. He threw a strawberry at his copy before a Chef Kawasaki assist appeared. He ran up and used forward air on both of them. Followed by neutral air. When they jumped back to the center of the stage Pac-Man used a forward smash hitting Kawasaki in the back and pushing back his copy. Then used a Power Pellet. The Chef jumped back to the left side of the stage. The copy hit Pac-Man with a forward tilt before the Kawasaki jumped down and threw him into his pot. He stirred and seasoned before Pac-Man burst out along with some food items before the assist disappeared. Pac Man ate the food as fast as he could as they copy came at him. He hit it with a up smash. The copy dropped a Fire Hydrant on him before he jumped back up and finished it with another up smash.

Bowser charged at Dedede but was hit by a Gordo. Then King Dedede used Inhale to swallow him then turned around and spat Bowser out. When he landed, Bowser used a forward tilt to push Dedede back. Dedede ran towards Bowser but rolled away from his neutral jab. Bowser went for a dash attack but Dedede shielded it, jumped and hit him with a neutral air. He then rolled into Bowser with a down tilt. Bowser came down on him with down aerial. Then was hit by Dedede's forward tilt. Bowser grabbed him as he got out another Gordo making him drop it, but when he leapt up to do a Flying Slam but he leapt into the Gordo making him drop Dedede before getting hit with a forward air. Then Great Fairy's power kicked in healing Bowser. Bowser found a Bunny Hood and dashed into Dedede while grabbing it. He jumped up super high then slammed on him with Bowser Bomb. Then he grabbed again and used a up throw and jumped and followed up with up air. As the Bunny Hood wore off, Dedede started jumping and using forward air on Bowser. Bowser dodged a swing and knocked Dedede up with a Whirling Fortress. He then transformed into Giga Bowser and used a Giga Bowser Punch. King Dedede splattered against the screen before collapsing.

Kirby came back with the spirit Waddle Dee. Pac-Man returned with Chef Kawasaki's spirit. Bowser landed with Dedede collapsed onto the ground. Kirby, Waddle Dee and Ness ran over to the king. "Oof…" He sat up. "What the-Kirby?!" Dedede got up. "What's going on here?!"

"It's a long story Dedede." Zero Suit Samus replied.

Kirby was hugging King Dedede who pushed him off. "Wait a minute…Now I remember! That darn light thing got us!"

"Galeem." Bowser replied. "He got all of us. And then he started making copies of us who confronted him, and those copies are running around carrying the spirits of everyone else in our worlds."

"That Galeem's messing with my kingdom!" King Dedede spun his hammer. "Well, he's about to learn the hard way what happens when you get on this king's bad side!"

Ness smiled. Kirby jumped for joy. "Ha! Get in line bird brain!" Bowser grinned. "I'm the one who's gonna crack him like a egg!"

"Oh yeah?!"

Isabelle whistled and her up smash created a do-not-enter sign between them. "Please don't fight! We need to work together to stop Galeem!"

"She's right." Zero Suit Samus replied. "Save your hostility for the big threat."

King Dedede looked at Joker, Min, Min, and Terry. "Say, I though you said everyone else was turned into a spirit."

"These three weren't around when Galeem attacked." Isabelle replied. "They along with a few others showed up from their worlds after that. Meet Min Min, Joker and Terry. It's really thanks to them that any of us were freed from Galeem."

"Huh, that right?" King Dedede asked. "Well anyway, now what?"

"Well first let's head back to the portal." Wii Fit Trainer said. Everyone nodded.

As the party came out of the star a trail of clouds appeared making a shortcut to the ship. "That's convenient." Terry said. "Well, it looks like we found everything we can find here. Let's head for that orange pipe and wait for the others at the city."

Villager nodded and led the group towards the pink clouds. "Say Kirby, did you free Meta Knight yet?" King Dedede asked. Kirby shook his head. "No dice? Dang it. Well, we better find him, he'll help us cut that jerk down to size."

"About that…" Wii Fit Trainer said. "Once the others are done, we'll have explored this entire world. And I doubt those two locations alone could hold everyone else."

"Yeah, aren't there still like half of us missing?" Bowser asked.

Joker thought about it.

"Maybe they escaped."

"Galeem might have them."

"Could be." Terry nodded. "Maybe he's not done cloning all of them. All the more reason we should take Galeem down as soon as we break that shield, I say."

"Pichu, Pichu!" Pichu nodded. They reached the warp pipe and took turns going inside.
