What if at the end of 6x17 when Eddie came back, Joey went across the street to tell Pacey about it instead of trying to deal with it on her own and letting it all come out at the prom in Love Bites? The idea came to me as I watching Season Five, so I have not seen the Season Five finale (or any of Season Six) as of publishing.
