Matt's most life-changing moments have always been made up of helplessness. And Matt will do anything in his power to never feel that sense of helplessness again. When Daredevil's rescue doesn't go as it was intended to, a small hope is left behind to show some light in the darkness.

The story takes place a couple of years after the events of the third season of the series. Not much has happened ever since, except for usual street crimes; but the calmness ends with the occurrence of some bizarre events. Matt Murdock has to fight new powerful enemies, and makes alliance with another hero, one that hasn't interacted much with him in the comics.

Sometimes Matt Murdock hates being a lawyer. It's because of cases like this.

Vigilantes could be called wanna-be superheros. This kid was only a wanna-be vigilante. Daredevil decided scaring off the kid from this dangerous act before he got in too deep would work fine. Of course, things don't always go to plan. (I wrote this for fun, not for high quality)

"It means that I'm not the Samaritan. That I'm not the priest or the Levite. That I am the ill intent... who set upon the traveler on a road that he should not have been on." (Wilson Fisk, Daredevil S1 E13) And sometimes, ill intent does not simply befall travelers. Sometimes, it befalls good Samaritans, too.

"He's Daredevil," I announce, pointing at Murdock, who stands there, clutching his cane and fiddling with its strap with his fingers. What a faker. (Crack treated seriously.)

Matt is transported to a parallel universe, where he meets Matt Murdock – and others – and gets a glimpse of how his life might have turned out differently.

Contrary to popular belief, time does not heal all wounds. Twelve years later, and Nora is still stuck on the same man, and it still hurts just as much as it did back then.
