Chapter 11: Duel of the Burning Fist
Kit was sunrise at the Tsukamo house, and it started as usual with a big yell from Kari.
"YUMA! GET UP OR ELSE YOU'LL SLEEP THROUGH THE-" Kari was interrupted by being run over by a speeding Yuma.
"Sorry Kari!" Yuma said as he scarfed down his breakfast. Just as Kari got up and stumbled in front of the door, only to be run down again. "BYE!" Yuma said as he rushed out the front door.
"UGH! Of course he's in a rush for a Dueling tournament." Kari said as she stood up with a couple of shoe prints on her face.
Yuma ran to the end of the street with Shark, Rio, Bronke, and Tori waiting for him.
"Right on time for once." Tori said.
"Hey! I'm on time for things!" Yuma rebutted.
"If it involves food." Shark said.
"Come on guys. Let's go." Bronke said.
They all ran towards the center of the city where all the participants are.
"This is it guys!" Yuma said to his friends as they all rushes towards the opening ceremony.
"Yeah!" everyone agreed.
Astral then came out and floated beside Yuma. "We can win this." Astral said to Yuma, who smiled.
In Barian World the four Emperors were getting ready to leave their world for the tournament.
"This is it guys, the Carnival is here." Alito said, pumping his fist.
"Alito, are you sure you want to take on Yuma?" Girag asked, concerned about his friend.
"Yes, I'm sure." Alito said, annoyed that he was asked that question over a dozen times.
Mizar then spoke up. "Look, I can get the rivalry thing, but for the life of me I don't know why you gave Yuma Tsukamo that Barian Card!"
"Because I want both me and Yuma to have an even playing field when we showdown!" Alito said defensively.
"Look Alito, I personally don't care about how you Duel Yuma, just win." Dumon said as he handed Alito a Sphere Cube. "With this, you can use your full power and Barian Number at your leisure." Dumon said.
"Thank you Dumon." Alito said. "Now let's go!" Alito and the others all went through a massive portal to the Human World.
The Barians weren't the only ones' teleporting to Earth. In the park a portal opened and a woman came out. She looked about 19 or 20, had long flowing silver hair, which was parted on her left and was held by three golden stars. She wore a v neck dress that extended to her knee caps. She had on open toed boots with a star design, and on her ring finger she had a silver ring with a four pointed star with a blue gem in the center. She opened her eyes, which were green. "So, this is where Astral arrived in this world." The woman said. She held out her ring and the gem in the center glowed. She pointed it in different directions, but it glowed brightest when she pointed it at the center of the city, where swarms of people were heading. "Alright, this way." She said, walking to where all the people were going.
In the center of Heartland City thousands of people were gathered in excitement for the opening ceremony of the World Duel Carnival. Then, air planes flew above and made heart shaped clouds and a marching band of litterbots was playing down the street and a man was standing on top of a large float smiling and waving, it was Mr. Heartland, the mayor of the city. He was dressed in a yellow suit with hearts on it and hat a blue feather collar, a bow tie, and a yellow hat with a heart in the center.
From within a secret lab beneath Heartland Tower, a man with crazy blond hair was watching the festivities from a screen. "Well well, this was quit a turn out!" The man said. He wore a black and white suit with a green gem in the center, he also had a gold ear ring in his ear, like Mr. Heartland. "So many competitors, but only so few have Numbers. But I have no doubt Kite will gather them all for me!"
Back on the surface, everyone was cheering as the parade came to a halt and everyone put on their Duel Gazers. Then, in the AR system, a large hologram of Heartland appeared. "Welcome one and all to the World Duel Carnival! Now, all those entered got a copy of the rules, but let's go ahead and give a refresher! First, the entire city of Heartland is the battle field, and the preliminaries are consisted of three days. If you are challenged to a Duel you must accept, then both players wager their Heart Pieces, the number is settled between the Duelists themselves if they wish to wager more than one, and the loser must concede their Heart Piece or Pieces to the winner, and if you run out of Heart Pieces you are out of the tournament! Collect five Pieces, and you win a spot in the finals! However, to make sure only the best of the best make it, there are dozens of different shaped Heart Pieces, meaning that you will have to win several Duels to earn a spot! Now if you have any more questions, then that's just too bad! Because the World Duel Carnival starts NOW!" Fireworks exploded in the air as the start of the Carnival began.
Everyone was yelling and shouting as they wasted no time in starting the tournament. Yuma on the other hand, was running towards a specific location. "This is it Astral. The fight of our lives!" Yuma said as Astral floated by his side.
"You're right Yuma. I have no doubt that Alito will be our toughest opponent yet. Even more so than Kite!" Astral said.
"Hey, don't forget about us!" Yuma's friends said.
"Why are you guys coming? Don't you all want to have your own Duels?" Yuma asked as his friends tailed him.
"Are you kidding?! We wouldn't miss this!" Bronke said.
"Yeah, and it's not like watching this one Duel is gonna set us back!" Shark said.
Yuma smiled. "Thanks guys!" Yuma said as he reached the park, where Alito was waiting.
Alito was wearing a red long sleeve shirt with an upturned collar, also had white pants as well as white shoes. "Hello Yuma." Alito said.
"Hey Alito." Yuma said. "You ready for this?" Yuma said, already knowing the answer.
"You better believe it! I play a Barian Sphere Field!" Alito threw a cube into the air and a red Sphere Field was created around Alito, Yuma, and Astral. Everyone else was left on the outside but could still see the Duel.
Astral was filled with a sense of uneasiness as the Barian Field was forming around him, but he expected this.
"Alright Yuma, let's get this show on the road!" Alito said. His left arm glowed and his gauntlet Duel Disk and his left eye turned red.
"Get set to get decked Alito!" Yuma pulled out his red Duel Disk and his white and gold Duel Gazer.

"LET'S DUEL!" Both Duelists yelled as they drew their hands.
"I'll start this Duel off! Draw!" Alito drew his card and smiled. "First I summon Burning Knuckler Glassjaw!" Alito's green boxer came out ready to punch.
Burning Knuckler Glassjaw: Level 4/FIRE/Warrior/2000 Atk/0 Def
"Next I play my Burning Knuckler Spar!" One of the monsters that Yuma faced when he first met Alito made a comeback.
Burning Knuckler Spar: Level 4/FIRE/Warrior/1200 Atk/1400 Def
"Yuma, he has two Level 4 monsters out!" Astral said.
"I know." Yuma said, having a felling he knew what was next.
Alito smiled. "I Overlay my two Level 4 Burning Knucklers!" Alito's two monsters flew into the air and vanished into, not a red portal, but the gold Number portal.
"I XYZ SUMMON NUMBER 79: BURNING KNUCKLER NOVA KAISER!"
Out of the Network came a whole new Number. It looked eerily similar to Utopia, only this one was crimson instead of gold. The metal wings on this one was way bigger than Utopia's and had four large spikes and had a blaster on the top of each wing, plus one on its back. Also it had brass knuckle like blasters on its hands, and its helmet was more like that of a gladiator's.

"He has a Number out Astral!" Yuma said with worry.
"I can see that Yuma. We were prepared to face Leadblow but not this." Astral said.
Alito smiled. From the looks on Yuma and Astral's faces he knew he threw them off with Nova Kaiser. "I activate Nova Kaiser's ability! It allows me to add a Burning Knuckler from my hand to Nova Kaiser as an Overlay Unit. I add a second Glassjaw as an Overlay Unit and even better, Nova Kaiser gains 100 attack points for every Overlay Unit!" Alito said as he threw a card from his hand, which then turned into a red Overly Unit.
Nova Kaiser Atk: 2300 + 100 x 3 = 2600
"With that ability that monster has the potential to gain 100 attack points every turn!" Yuma said.
Alito took a card from his hand and smiled. "I play Burning Draw!" Alito's spell showed a red boxing glove with blue flames. "It allows me to draw a card for every Overlay Unit Nova Kaiser has! But, the price is I have to send three monsters from my deck to the Graveyard first. I send my third Glassjaw, one more Spar, and a Counterblow to the Grave to draw three cards." Alito took the monster cards out of his deck, then the cards went up in blue flames, then he drew his three cards with a trail of blue fire behind them.
"I place three cards face down and end my turn." Alito placed his face downs.
"Then I draw!" Yuma drew his card and gasped, as did Astral.
"Yuma, you seriously put that card in your deck?!" Astral said, outraged by the card Yuma had.
"Well, it seemed wrong not to add it. Anyway, I summon Ganbara Knight!" Yuma's favorite knight came out ready to play.
Ganbara Knight: Level 4/LIGHT/Warrior/0 Atk/1800 Def
"Next I summon Kagetokage!" A shadow came out onto the field and shaped into a lizard and two red eyes floated above it.
Kagetokage: Level 4/DARK/Reptile/1100 Atk/1500 Def
"Do it Yuma. Summon Utopia." Alito said in his head.
"I Overlay Level 4 Ganbara Knight and Kagetokage!" Yuma's two monster turned into pure energy, but instead of the golden Number portal opening, it was the red portal.
"I XYZ SUMMON GAGAGA COWBOY!"
From the portal came a western cowboy with a poncho and the Gagaga symbol holding the poncho in place.

"You didn't bring out Utopia?!" Astral said in confusion.
"Well, Alito summoning that Number means he probably expected us to have a strategy against it, meaning he might have a strategy for Utopia." Yuma explained to Astral.
"Right Yuma. You are starting to act like a real Duelist." Astral complimented.
Alito pulled a face. He was prepared for Utopia, or even another Number, but not just a regular Xyz monster. "How is he expecting to destroy my monster if his isn't a Number?" Alito wondered.
"Now I play Gagaga Cowboy's effect! By using an Overlay Unit my monster gains 1000 attack points and your monster loses 500!" Yuma said as his monster absorbed an Overlay Unit into its gun.
"WHAT?!" Alito said as his monster lost attack points.
Gagaga Cowboy Atk: 1500 + 1000 = 2500
Nova Kaiser Atk: 2600 – 500 = 2100
"Go Gagaga Cowboy! GAGAGA SHOOTOUT!" Yuma's monster aimed its gun and shot a barrage of bullets at Nova Kaiser.
Alito: 4000 – 400 = 3600
"Sorry Yuma, buy since your Cowboy wasn't a Number my Nova Kaiser stays on the field!" Alito said.
Yuma smiled. "I know that! Which is why I'm ready with Revenge Attack!" Yuma said as he played a spell.
"Of course!" Astral said as he realized Yuma's plan. "Since your monster didn't destroy his Number, you can attack again but with 1000 more attack points!" Astral was really impressed that Yuma applied actual strategy with his moves.
Gagaga Cowboy Atk: 2500 + 1000 = 3500
"WHAT?!" Alito said in disbelief.
"GO GAGAGA SHOOTOUT!" Yuma said as his monster blasted Nova Kaiser again.
Alito: 3600 – 1400 = 2200
Nova Kaiser Atk: 2100 + 500 = 2600
Gagaga Cowboy Atk: 3500 – 2000 = 1500
"I end my turn with two face downs!" Yuma said as he ended his turn.
"That was quite an impressive combo you pulled Yuma. Truly you have grown as a Duelist." Astral said.
"Well I am learning from the best." Yuma complimented Astral.
"Then it's my move Yuma!" Alito drew his card. 'I have to give Yuma credit for that attack combo, using a Number's battle ability against it was genius! But not enough to beat me.' He thought. "I activate Rank Up Magic Barian's Force!" Alito held his card up high as it glowed.
"Yuma, Alito is not playing around. UGH!" Astral was then hit be a surge of pain.
"This card Ranks Up my Nova Kaiser into a Chaos Number! I rebuild the Overlay Network with my Rank 4 Nova Kaiser!" Alito's Number turned into chaos energy and went into the familiar black cloud.
"I XYZ SUMMON CHAOS NUMBER 79: SUPER NOVA KAISER!"
A new Chaos Number formed onto the field. It had a crimson and gold body with Barian energy flowing throughout its two wings. It also had a third hand coming out of its back, and one each of its three hands was a large blaster that has chaos flowing through it.
Number C79 Burning Knuckler Super Nova Kaiser: Rank 5/FIRE/Warrior/2500 Atk/2000 Def
"Now I activate Super Nova Kaiser's ability: when successfully Summoned I can attach up to three Burning Knuckler's from my Graveyard and my hand to it as Chaos Overlay Units!" Alito said as two monsters from his Graveyard turned to Chaos Overlay Units, and a third one from his hand.
"That means his monster now has seven Overlay Units!" Yuma said, thinking that that was impossible.
"And those seven are going to good use! Because like Nova Kaiser, Super Nova Kaiser gains 200 points for every one of its Chaos Overlay Units!" Alito said as Super Nova Kaiser's Chaos Units glowed, then dispersed the energy and his monster absorbed it.
Super Nova Kaiser Atk: 2500 + 200 x 7 = 3900
"That monster is mega powerful!" Yuma said.
"There's more Yuma, I activate Xyz Treasure! And with it, I draw two cards!" Alito drew his cards. "Now Super Nova Kaiser, attack Gagaga Cowboy!" Alito the gave a grin. "Now I activate the trap Knuckler Brass! This gives my monster and additional power boost equal to its attack point change!" The card played showed a man punching another with spiked brass knuckles and the "kapow" bubble was above the punched man. The same spiked brass knuckles formed on each of Super Nova Kaiser's tree hands.
Super Nova Kaiser Atk: 3900 + 1400 = 5300
"Next I activate Counterblow's ability! I banish it to add an extra thousand to my monster!" The Graveyard opened and light glowed from it, giving Super Nova Kaiser power.
Super Nova Kaiser Atk: 5300 + 1000 = 6300
"6300 attack points?!" Yuma had never seen a monster with any were near that many attack points.
"GO SUPER NOVA KAISER! DESTROY GAGAGA COWBOY AND WIN THIS DUEL! MEGA NOVA IMPACT!" Alito's monster's hands surged with power and launched it at Gagaga Cowboy.
"SHIT!" Yuma yelled as he was faced with the powerful attack.
"Yuma, activate your trap! NOW!" Astral said.
"Right, I activate Half Unbreak! This saves my monster from destruction." Yuma's trap created a bubble around Gagaga Cowboy as it was safe from the massive attack. "But it also cuts the damage in half!" Yuma yelled the last part as he was hit by the damage from Super Nova Kaiser's attack.
Yuma: 4000 – 4800 x 1/2 = 1600
"So you survived. I'm impressed Yuma." Alito said with a smile as he ended his turn.
Super Nova Kaiser Atk: 6300 – 2400 = 3900
On the outside, Yuma's friends were filed with a sense of hope and dread.
"Man, Alito really wasn't holding anything back!" Shark said.
"Your right. If Yuma didn't have that trap, he would have been finished!" Rio said.
"I would normally say Yuma could win since he has Astral, but against Alito, I actually think he might lose." Bronke said.
Tori shot him a sinister look. "Are you kidding me Bronke?! No matter who or what Yuma faces, he will win!" Tori said, causing Bronke to cringe.
"Uh, you're right Tori! Yuma will win!" Bronke said, not wanting an angry Tori on one his hands.
Back in the Sphere Field, Yuma and Astral were pulling themselves together. "Well, I'm just full of surprises! I DRAW!" Yuma began his turn. Yuma leaned his hand towards.
"Yuma don't!" Astral said, not wanting Yuma to use the card.
Yuma put his hand on the card. "I'm sorry Astral, but to win this Duel I need to use this." Yuma lifted the card up and activated it. "I activate Rank Up Magic Barian's Force!" As Yuma activated the card, it didn't try to possess him like Alito promised, who was smiling. "I use it to Rank Up my Gagaga Cowboy! I Overlay my Rank 4 Gagaga Cowboy!" Yuma's Cowboy became swallowed by Barian Chaos, and went into the Chaos Network.
"I XYZ SUMMON CHAOS XYZ GAGAGA SHERIFF!"
Yuma's new monster appeared on the field. It looked similar to its previous incarnation, but it had silver hair and it had the Gagaga symbol on its belt, which was made up of bullets filled with Barian energy. The bullet belt connected to automatic guns on its hands, which were pointed at Super Nova Kaiser. Two crystal Chaos Overlay Units circled Gagaga Sheriff.
Cxyz Gagaga Sheriff: Rank 5/EARTH/Warrior/2000 Atk/3000 Def
Everyone watching was in both shock and amazement as Yuma summoned his Chaos Xyz.
"When did Yuma get a Barian card?!" Bronke said, having experienced them first hand.
"You mean Yuma didn't tell you guys?" Tori said.
"Wait, you knew Tori?!" Rio said.
"Well, yesterday when I was untying Amber we saw Alito give that card to Yuma, and without it Yuma would have lost. Then Alito let Yuma keep it." Tori explained.
"But still, wouldn't expect Yuma to even consider having that card in his deck." Shark said.
Alito smiled. "So you did use that card after all! I'm impressed Yuma!" Alito said.
"Then you'll really be impressed by this; I use a Chaos Overlay Unit to activate Gagaga Sheriff's ability!" Yuma's new monster absorbed the Chaos Unit into its belt, then readied its guns. "Gagaga Sheriff targets a monster and both our monsters' attack points become the same as its then your monster loses 500 points and mine gains 500!"
Super Nova Kaiser Atk: 3900 – 500 = 3400
Gagaga Sheriff Atk: 3900 + 500 = 4400
"WHAT?!" Alito said as his monster no longer had the power advantage.
"And the best part is, Gagaga Sheriff can attack twice!" Yuma said with a pumped fist. "Go Gagaga Sheriff! BULLET BARAGE!" Yuma's monster aimed its automatic guns at Super Nova Kaiser and blasted it to smithereens.
Alito: 2200 – 1000 = 1200
"Alright Yuma! One more attack and we win!" Astral said.
"Yeah! Gagaga Sheriff attack Alito direc-what?!" Yuma was about to tell his monster to attack when the smoke cleared from the last attack and Nova Kaiser was on the field.
"Hah! See, since Super Nova Kaiser had Nova Kaiser as an Overlay Unit, when it got sent to the Graveyard it revived Nova Kaiser." Alito said as his Number stood on the field.
Nova Kaiser Def: 1600
Then, the Grave portal opened and two red Overlay Units came out and then swirled around Nova Kaiser. "Oh yeah, and Nova Kaiser gains two Overlay Units as well!"
Nova Kaiser Atk: 2300 + 200 = 2500
"Oh great. Since Nova Kaiser is in defense mode, I can't deal him damage." Yuma said.
"Right, but you should still attack it and clear his field." Astral said.
"Right. Gagaga Sheriff, destroy Nova Kaiser! BULLET BARAGE!" Yuma said as his monster destroyed Nova Kaiser. But when the smoked cleared this time, there were two Burning Knuckler Glassjaws on the field. "WHAT THE HELL?!" Yuma said, furious that every time he destroyed Alito's monsters, another one showed up to take its place.
Alito chuckled at Yuma's anger. "Oh, see Super Nova Kaiser inherited Nova Kaiser's attack point increase ability, but it also inherited the revival ability from Nova Kaiser too! See, just like when Super Nova Kaiser was destroyed, Nova Kaiser revived two Burning Knucklers from the Graveyard since it had two Overlay Units when destroyed." Alito said with a smirk.
"Argh!" Yuma said frustrated. "Then I'll just end my turn!" Yuma said.
Gagaga Sheriff Atk: 2000
"Alito is quite impressive with his monsters. He truly out did himself with that Number of his. He is a worthy opponent." Astral said.
Yuma smiled. "Your right. He really is an incredible Duelist!" Yuma said. "And I know he isn't far from finished!" Yuma yelled towards Alito, who smiled.
"Yuma, you really got me fired up!" Alito said as he drew his card.
Next to Alito, a humanoid figure put a bandaged hand on his shoulder. "Haven't seen you this fired up in a long time." It said in a male voice.
"Your right. Yuma has really got me hot with Dueling passion!" Alito held out his right arm and an orange bracelet with a yellow gem in the center. "Yuma, it's time I go all you! BARIAPHOSE!" The gem in the bracelet glowed as did Alito's whole body.
"Yuma, he's-" Astral tried to say.
"I know Astral. Alito is transforming into his Barian form." Yuma said.
Alito's body morphed into a much more muscular form with red skin and had yellow gems and orange highlights. His hair curved upwards revealing his face, which looked like a purple cage and is eyes were visible, and like the previous two Barians he had no mouth. Alito then gave a loud battle cry that shock the Sphere Field.
"Alright Yuma, this is it! I play Burning Knuckler Grave Fist!" Alito's monster was purple and black in color, and on the belt it was wearing was a cross.
"And since I Normal Summoned it, I get one card back from the Graveyard! I choose Rank Up Magic Barian's Force!" The Grave portal opened and out flew Alito's card. "But I probably won't need to use it. I Overlay my Burning Knuckler Grave Fist and two Glassjaws!" Alito's three monsters flew into the golden portal.
"I XYZ SUMMON NUMBER 105: BURNING STAR CESTUS!"
The portal exploded with energy, and Alito's Barian Number came out. It was a blue gladiator with some gold highlights, and it had large metal blue wings with gold outline, and it had white wrappings looking like bandages encasing its arms. It gave a loud battle cry similar to that of Alito's. It also had an orange 105 on its right shoulder.

"It's Alito's Barian Number!" Yuma remarked.
"Correct. Just like Mizar and Dumon, he also possesses a Number over a hundred, meaning that they aren't a part of my memories, but where they came from is a mystery to me," Astral said.
"Now Star Cestus attack Gagaga Sheriff!" Alito ordered his monster, who's wings were glowing. "STARDUST IMPACT!" The glow from the wings turned to several streams heading towards Gagaga Sheriff, looking like stars.
Yuma smirked. "I activate Gagaga Sheriff's ability!"
Gagaga Sheriff Atk: 2500 + 500 = 3000
Star Cestus Atk: 2500 – 500 = 2000
"Now Star Cestus will be wiped out and all I need to do is attack him next turn!" Yuma said as his monster powered up.
"That won't stop me! I us an Overlay Unit to activate my Number's ability! Since your Sheriff has more attack points than my monster, Star Cestus can't be destroyed in battle nor can the battle be negated!" Alito said as his monster absorbed an Overlay Unit and emitted a red aura, then the star stream hit Gagaga Sheriff, but it bounced off Gagaga Sheriff and was heading towards Yuma. "Oh yeah, and the best part is you take all the damage that should go to me!"
"What?!" Yuma said.
"Brace yourself Yuma!" Astral said as the attack was heading towards them. The attack sent the both of them flying into the walls of the Sphere field, causing physical damage to both him and Yuma.
Yuma: 1600 – 1000 = 600
"I end my turn with one face down." Alito set his card.

Gagaga Sheriff Atk: 2000
"We have quit a predicament Yuma. With his monster's special ability there is no way to defeat it in battle!" Astral said as he got up, now started to phase in and out.
"Your right Astral. But I have a plan to beat it! I DRAW!" Yuma drew his card and smiled. "I play Gagaga Summoning Ritual!" Yuma played a card with a misty background, had two cellphones looking like Gagaga Girl's cellphones. One phone showed a hologram with Gagaga Gardrna being deleted with a red X over it, and the second cellphone showed a hologram of Gagaga Caesar and Clerk being uploaded with a green check over them. "By banishing Gagaga Sheriff, I can Summon two Gagaga monsters from my deck as long as they have different Levels, and I can't Normal Summon this turn either. I Summon, Gagaga Caesar and Gagaga Clerk! Then, I get to draw a card!" Yuma summoned a monster due, one a male in white robes, had blue hair and a large staff with the Gagaga symbol on the top. The second monster looked like a librarian with long orange hair and had a white collar with the Gagaga symbol on it.
Gagaga Caesar: Level 3/EARTH/Warrior/1800 Atk/600 Def
Gagaga Clerk: Level 2/EARTH/Warrior/400 Atk/800 Def
"Why did you do that?! They are different Levels so you can't Overlay them!" Alito said, confused by Yuma's move.
"That is where Gagaga Caesar's special ability comes in! I can banish one monster from my Graveyard, and the Level of all my monsters become the same as it!" Yuma said.
"What?!" Alito exclaimed, realizing Yuma's plan.
"That's right! Now I banish Level Ganbara Knight so Gagaga Caesar and Gagaga Clerk become Level 4!" Yuma said as his monster's staff glowed and the Grave portal opened and light rays come out, surrounding Caesar and Clerk as their Level stars appeared in front of them and changed to four stars.

"I'm feeling the flow! I Overlay Level 4 Gagaga Caesar and Gagaga Clerk!" The two Gagaga monsters disappeared into the golden Number portal.
"I XYZ SUMMON NUMBER 39: UTOPIA!"
Yuma's signature monster came out, ready to fight Alito's monster.
Outside, Yuma's friends were in a state of happy and fear.
"Alright, with Utopia Yuma will win!" Tori said.
"But it doesn't matter what monster Yuma plays, Alito's monster's special ability will just bounce the damage back!" Rio stated.
Back in the Sphere Field, Alito pulled a laugh. He wanted to face Utopia, but he knew of its ability to stop a battle and Yuma's card that doubles its attack power when it's stopped and allows it to attack again, but that strategy was useless against his Star Cestus since it can prevent battles from stopping and deal all battle damage to Yuma. But he had a feeling Yuma had something crazy in mind.
"Astral, this is gonna be crazy, but I need you to trust me." Yuma said.
"Of course Yuma. You made some moves on your own, so I trust your judgement." Astral said.
"Okay." Yuma smiled. "GO UTOPIA! ATTACK STAR CESTUS!"
"WHAT?!" Everyone said.
"Is Yuma crazy?! Both Utopia and Star Cestus have the same attack points so they'll both be destroyed!" Bronke said.
"No wait, Alito's monster can't be destroyed, so only Utopia will be!" Tori said.
"No it won't." Shark said.
"What do you mean?" Rio asked.
"See, Star Cestus can only use its special ability if its opponent has more attack points, but since both it and Utopia are evenly matched it can't use its ability." Shark explained.
Alito, realizing what Yuma was planning, chuckled. "You really are crazy Yuma! I like it!"
"Utopia, take out Star Cestus!" Yuma said as his Utopia continued the attack, but instead of using its sword he used his fist, as did Star Cestus and they both boxed each other in the face and destroyed each other.
Astral looked a Yuma. "That was a smart move Yuma. Since Star Cestus's ability only works if the opponent has more attack points."
"Yeah, well this is even smarter! I Activate Xyz Reborn! This card revives Utopia from the Graveyard!" Yuma's trap flipped and the Graveyard portal opened and Utopia flew out.
"He planned to bring Utopia back from the start!" Tori said.
"Though, that was probable Astral's idea." Rio said.
"Yeah, probable." Bronke said.
"And the best part is that Xyz Reborn becomes an Overlay Unit for Utopia!" Yuma said as the trap glowed and transformed into an Overlay Unit. "Now Utopia can attack Alito and end this!"
"Sorry Yuma, but that ain't happening. I play Xyz Stand!" Alito said. Instead of a trap card, a spell card activated. The Grave portal opened and Star Cestus came back out. "I knew you or Astral would find a way to defeat Star Cestus, so I had a strategy ready in case you did." Alito said.
"Argh. Alito is always three steps ahead of us!" Yuma said.
"That's true Yuma." Astral said.
"But, we are also three steps ahead of him! I end my turn with a face down!" Yuma said.
"Alright Yuma. I DRAW!" Alito said. "Time to show you a real warrior! I activate Rank Up Magic Barian's Force!"
"Oh no!" Astral said. "He's gonna summon a Chaos Number!"
"I REBUILD THE OVERLAY NETWORK WITH MY RANK 4 BURNING KNUCKLER STAR CESTUS! GO CHAOS XYZ EVOLUTION!" His monster swarmed with Chaos and disappeared into the Overlay Network.
"GO CHAOS XYZ EVOLUTION! I CALL FORTH THE HOTEST OF ALL BURNING KNUCKLERS! I XYZ SUMMON CHAOS NUMBER 105: BURNING KNUCKLER COMET CESTUS!"
What came out was a fierce and terrifying warrior. It was mixture of black and dark purple with some gold highlights. It had four large wings coursing with Barian Chaos, and had four silver claws on the top two and three on the bottom two and three metal claws on each boots. It now had four horns on its helmet, and a x shaped golden brass knuckles on each hand and a red 105 on its right breast plate. Its eyes were even crazier than its previous form, this one filled with bloodlust and a thirst for battle. It let out a large and unsettling battle cry that shook the ground even on the outside of the Sphere Field.
Burning Knuckler Comet Cestus: Rank 5/FIRE/Warrior/2800 Atk/2000 Def
"It's his Chaos Number!" Yuma exclaimed.
"Yes, but where these Over Hundred Numbers should not exist!" Astral said.
"Comet Cestus, use your special ability! By using one Chaos Overlay Unit, your Utopia is automatically destroyed, and you take damage equal to its attack points! COMET EXPLOSION!" Alito said. His monster absorbed the Chaos Overlay Unit into its chest, and energy from its four wings unleashed Chaos Energy and converged into the center and a mega blast headed towards Utopia.
"Not so fast, I activate Overlay Shield!" The trap showed a planet with several Overlay Units surrounding it, and a translucent white shield surrounding the planet. "It equips onto Utopia, and as long as Utopia has Overlay Units, it can't be destroyed by card effects!" A barrier formed around Utopia, protecting him from the blast. "And the best part, when you destroy Utopia in battle, it comes back and this card becomes an Overlay Unit!"
"Doesn't matter! Comet Cestus will whip out Utopia and finish you off!" Alito said. "CELESTIAL BURST!" Comet Cestus pumped its fist and headed a punch towards Utopia, which the fist was now caught in flames.
Yuma felt uneasy. He told Alito that Utopia would be revived if destroyed, but Alito said that Comet Cestus would finish him, but the damage would only be 300, l unless! "I use one Overlay Unit to stop the attack! MOON BARRIER!" Yuma told his monster, which didn't hesitate to put up his wing shield.
"Yuma, why did you do that?! Now that Utopia has no Overlay Units, Overlay Shield is destroyed!" Astral exclaimed as Overlay Shield was destroyed. "Now Utopia has no way of activating its special ability!"
"I know Astral, but Alito said the Comet Cestus would finish us off, and I know that damage alone wouldn't. But Alito has ways of increasing his monster's attack points during battle, I mean his Number could also have another special ability!" Yuma said.
"You are correct Yuma!" Alito said, hearing Yuma talking. "My Comet Cestus does have a second special ability; when it destroys a monster in battle, you take damage equal to the destroyed monster's attack points!" Alito explained.
"Then it was a good thing Yuma used Utopia's ability! But, now we have no way of activating our original plan." Astral said.
"Well, while think of a way to defeat Comet Cestus, I end my turn with a face down!" Alito said.
"Oh man Yuma and Astral are in a tight squeeze!" Bronke said.
"Yeah, since Utopia has no Overlay Units, Yuma can't use his most effective strategy." Rio said.
"Don't worry, Yuma and Astral still have a few aces up their sleeves." Shark said.
Yuma wasn't worried that he couldn't use his Double or Nothing combo, because he still had a few tricks left. "Alright, I draw!" Yuma drew his card. "Alright! I play the spell Gagagadraw! I banish Gagaga Cowboy, Caesar, and Clerk! Then I can draw two cards!" Yuma drew his two cards. They were exactly what he needed for a plan B if this next move didn't work. "You battled us with your Chaos Number, now it is time for you to face ours!" Yuma gestured to Utopia, who understood what to do. Utopia transformed back into its sealed form and went back into the Overlay Network.
"GO CHAOS XYZ EVOLUTION! COME AND SHOW YOUR MAGNIFICANT MIGHT, CHAOS NUMBER 39: UTOPIA RAY!"
Yuma's evolved Utopia came out onto the field, ready to fight alongside Yuma. It gave a large and loud battle cry.
Number C39: Utopia Ray: Rank 4/LIGHT/Warrior/2500 Atk/2000 Def
Alito was chuckling. "That is so cool how you are able to summon a Chaos Number without a Rank Up Magic card! That is why I really wanted to face you myself!" Alito said.
"Same here Alito. I really am having a fun time Dueling you! With you there is never a dull moment in a Duel! I wish this was just for fun, but Astral is counting on me to win this! I activate Utopia Ray's ability! By using an Overlay Unit, Utopia Ray gains 500 attack points, and Comet Cestus loses 1000 attack points." Utopia Ray used its metal arms and un sheathed its back sword, and absorbed its only Overlay Unit, and his body glowed white. "OVERLAY CHARGE!"
Utopia Ray Atk: 2500 + 500 = 3000
Comet Cestus Atk: 2800 – 1000 = 1800
"Nice one Yuma! The battle damage is just enough to whip out Alito's Life Points!" Astral said.
"GO UTOPIA RAY! END THIS DUEL WITH RISING SUN CHAOS SLASH!" Yuma said.
Alito laughed. "You're right, it is over, but for you! I activate Burning Berserker! It adds 1000 attack points to my monster, then takes away 500 from Utopia Ray!" The spell showed a fiery background with the embers of war, with a large Viking wearing Norse armor and a wolf pelt on his head, stander over the burning land holding his battle ax high in the sky with a crazy look in his eyes. The crazy looked could then be seen in Comet Cestus as its body became engulfed in red berserker energy.
Utopia Ray Atk: 3000 – 500 = 2500
Comet Cestus Atk: 1800 + 1000 = 2800
"Oh not, with their attack points back to normal Utopia Ray is finished!" Shark said.
"Then Comet Cestus's ability will finish the rest of Yuma's Life Points!" Rio said.
"Guys, I don't think Yuma is finished." Tori said, who could see Yuma smiled.
Yuma smiled, having a plan just for this. "Sorry Alito, but I activate the spell Stop Hammer!" A hammer with a hand on it and the word "stop" written on it. "This card can put a stop to this battle!" The hammer hit Utopia Ray's sword and the attack stopped. "On the down side, Utopia Ray loses 500 attack points."
Utopia Ray Atk: 2500 – 500 = 2000
Astral smiled. "And since the attack was stopped, we can use our original plan!"
"YEAH! I activate Double or Nothing!" Yuma activated his signature spell. "This spell doubles Utopia Ray's attack points and allows it to attack again!"
Utopia Ray Atk: 2000 x 2 = 4000
"Now Utopia Ray has enough attack points to destroy Comet Cestus and finish this Duel!" Yuma said.
"Not so fast! I activate Life Ring!" The last card that Alito placed face down activated. The spell shows a Duelist and his monster, a Burning Knuckler Glassjaw, surrounded by gold rings and their energies converging. "This card combines both my Life Points and Comet Cestus's attack points and the result becomes its attack points and my Life Points!" Two gold rings, like those in the card, appeared around Alito and Comet Cestus and their energy combined, both of them howled as their power increased.
Alito: 1200 + 2800 = 4000
Comet Cestus Atk: 2800 + 1200 = 4000
"Man, Alito just doesn't quit!" Astral said.
"Yeah! He reminds me of Kite. But we have made it this far into the Duel, meaning that if face him again, I am confident that when we face him again it will not turn out like last time!" Astral said.
"Yeah, because we are going to win!" Yuma said as he held up his final card. "I play the Double Tension!"
"WHAT?!" Alito said, knowing the spell.
"That's right! Since Utopia Ray is attacking again his attack points double once again!" Utopia Ray became powered up again, only instead of white his body became red.
Utopia Ray Atk: 4000 x 2 = 8000
"No way?!" Alito couldn't believe how powerful Utopia Ray way.
"GO UTOPIA RAY! RISING SUN SUPREAM CHAOS SLASH!" Yuma said. Utopia Ray sliced Comet Cestus three ways and destroyed Alito's ultimate monster. The blowback sent Alito flying.
Alito: 4000 – 4000 = 0 (LOSE)

The Sphere Field then started to dissolve and both Duelists were placed gently on the ground, and Alito was on his back and in his human form. Astral out stretched his hand and the four Numbers Alito had collected were stack on top of each other and flew into his hand. But, one Number, Nova Kaiser, felt different than the rest. He absorbed the other three and held Number 79 directly in front of him and looked into the memory fragment.
Astral was on the ground, he felt in pain and looked around him and saw two beings like him also lying on the ground. One was a large man in armor and the other was a woman. Astral reached his hand out towards the woman. "Estrella..." Astral said weakly.
"Astral..." The man said.
Astral looked at the man, who was lifting his arm up and pointed towards the sky.
Astral turned and looked up at the sky. There was a large hole with a red dot in the center, he knew that was Barian World, but what was strange were the four lights above it. The top was red, under it were two lights next to each other, the left one was green and the right one was yellow, and beneath the three was a purple light.
"No…" Astral said.
The lights diminished until they were almost gone. Then there was a sudden flash and a loud humming. When the flash faded there were four symbols in the sky where the lights where. He couldn't quite make out the symbols, then there was a fifth light behind them and that light got larger and the humming got louder as the light got closer until it engulfed then entire planet.
The vision ended and Astral was in shock. "That energy from that flash, it's the same as the energy from the memory I retrieved from 96!" Astral said.
"Alito!" Yuma yelled as he ran towards his friend.
Alito grunted as he sat up, then he laughed. "That was an epic Duel Yuma. It's a bummer I lost, but it was worth it to be a part of such a fiery mash up! You and Astral deserve my Numbers." Alito said that last part looking up at Astral.
Astral then floated in front of Alito. "Alito, that was an impressive Duel, but I do have one question."
"Ask away." Alito said.
"A while back me and Yuma witnessed a Duel with an Over Hundred Number, and last week when we saw Dumon use one, and you just now. I absorbed four Numbers from you, including 79 Nova Kaiser, but not your 105 Star Cestus I could not. Why is that?" Astral asked.
Alito chuckled. "Well, me and the other Barian Emperors have come to Earth to collect the 100 Numbers from Astral World, which contain your fragmented memories. However, each of us Emperors have one Number over 100, seven of them, and since they are from Barian, you can't absorb them like you can the other Numbers." Alito then looked at Yuma and reached into his pocket. "Yuma, this belongs to you." He pulled out a Heart Piece and handed it to Yuma, who took it.
"Alito…" Yuma clutched the Heart Piece. "When I win the tournament you and me are gonna have another Duel."
"Don't count your wins before the Duel Yuma. I knew this Duel would be close, but I was for sure I could win. And also there are three other Barian Emperors in the Carnival too, two you have met, but a third you haven't seen yet." Alito said.
"Who is it?" Yuma asked.
Alito smiled. "Don't want to ruin the surprise." A portal opened" Looks like this is my ride. Goodbye Yuma, Astral."
"Goodbye Alito." Yuma said.
"It was an honor to Duel you." Astral said. "And a pleasure."
Alito disappeared into the portal. Yuma's friend walked behind him and Astral.
"That was an awesome Duel Yuma." Tori said.
"Yeah, you really have come along since we first Duel." Shark said.
"Looks like you're the first one to get a Heart Piece." Bronke said as he saw the Piece in Yuma's hand.
"Oh right." He took out his Heart Piece and inserted Alito's piece in. "Two down, only three to go!"
"Hey, but about a hundred Duels to go get them!" Rio said.
"Doesn't matter if it's a hundred or a thousand! I'm gonna make it to the finals and WIN!" Yuma then jumped up into the air with a pumped fist.
In an industrial factory, a portal opened and Alito materialized.
"Hang on, this isn't Barian World." Alito looked around and heard a chuckle. He looked above him and saw a girl, maybe 13, in purple clothes and blonde hair in a braid. "Who are you?! And why did you bring me here?!" Alito shouted, but the girl didn't answer. "Alright, try this!" Alito materialized an energy ball and shot it at the girl.
She chuckled and put her hands on the railing, then lifted her body up and tossed herself twenty feet in the air, right before the energy ball hit her. She landed right behind Alito and held her first two fingers and thumb and jabbed it into Alito's lower back and right below his neck. Alito yelled in pain as his body went limp, then the girl swiped her feet under him, causing him to fall backwards.
Alito hit the ground hard. He couldn't move, not even his fingers or toes. "Who the Hell are you?!"
The girl laughed. "Answer my questions untruthfully and that paralysis to body, along with all those other injuries, will be the least of your worries. Now, just how many Numbers did Yuma and Astral take from you?"
Alito grunted. "Argh! Just who are? How do you about Numbers?!"
The girl exhaled and jabbed her fingers into Alito's leg, who yelled in pain. "Saphenous nerve cluster. Only takes a mere three pounds of pressure per inch to trigger!"
"Just who are you?" Alito said in pain.
The girl just giggled and did the same thing two his other leg, and he cried out again. "Again, how many Numbers did you lose?"
"Do whatever you want, bitch. But I will never talk!" Alito said, knowing that this girl is very bad news.
The girl the creaked her knuckles. "Fine, guess we'll do this the hard way." She held up her right hand, which had a bracelet with purple gem. The gems glowed for a second, and the girl's hand turned to shadow and the tips of her fingers sharpened into talons. "And I do love the hard way!" She took her shadow hand and shoved it into Alito's chest.
"OH MY ! #$%!" Alito yelled as the girl literally ripped into his chest with her shadow hand. The girl searched in his chest until she pulled her hand out, along with a card. "That…can't…be…" Alito said weakly as he saw the card in her hand was Number 105 Star Cestus. "That's…impossible…not even an Astral Being…"
"Well, I am not Astral Being nor a Barian. I am just a human. Well, no ordinary human that is." The girl said with a giggle as her hand returned to normal.
"Who are you?" Alito asked.
"Fine, if you really want to know." Within the diamond on her shirt was a purple crescent moon Crest. "My name is Eclipsa." Eclipsa said with a chuckle, then her visible right eye became luminous.

Overlay Shield: Continuous Trap
Target 1 Xyz Monster you control, it can't be destroyed by card effect as long as it has Xyz Material, and if it's sent to the Graveyard, Special Summon it and attach this card to it as Xyz Material. If the targeted Xyz Monster has no Xyz Material, destroy this card.

Well, this chapter came way earlier than my previous work! I'm trying to work on it so I can upload at least one chapter a month, but no promises! Also, did you like the Cxyz I made for Yuma? Since Yuma has Barian's Force and not Limited Barian's Force, which only works on Rank 4 monsters, there is SO MUCH potential here for not only Chaos Xyz, but Chaos Numbers as well! The possibilities are ENDLESS! Ta ta for now!
