Hello my readers! Bet you guys didn't expect last chapter! Now I will tell you that there is no Duel in this chapter. Yeah, but that doesn't mean this chapter is gonna be short action! Just read and see!

Chapter 16: Brothers' Blunder

Mizar was staring at the fresh night sky. He had just heard from Dumon that Girag was also defeated and his Barian Number was stolen as well, just like Alito. "But how, how could a human remove a Barian Number? What kind of power does this, Eclipsa, have?" He said to himself.

"I must admit; I too am a little worried." Tachyon Dragon said. "And if there is one human who can remove us, there could be more." He said to his owner.

Quattro and a man in a similar medieval coat, only his was blue and didn't wear boots, who also had long flowing blue hair and blue eyes were standing on a building next to Heartland Tower. "How much longer are they going to make us wait?!" Quattro impatiently.

"Patients Quattro. They'll be here soon." The man said.

"I had patients when they said they would meet us at sunset. But it's now night and we're still waiting Quinton. Are these girls reliable?"

"Of course they are! Tron has already submitted payment, and nobody wants to disappoint him." Quinton said.

"Sorry we're late…" A female voice said.

The two brothers turned around and saw two brunets, Terra and Mayura.

Quinton gasped. "You two? Just why are two people like you willing to break into Heartland Tower?" He asked.

"Oh we're more than willing, we were going to do it anyway." Terra said.

"Tron didn't pay us to break in, he paid us to tag you two along. Now move your butts." Mayura said as she jumped off the building. She then pulled out two silver kunai from under her skirt and threw them with perfect aim at the two security cameras.

"HEY?!" One of the two guards yelled as the cameras were taken out. When Mayura landed on the ground, quit gracefully, she pulled out four shurikens, two in each hand and threw them at the guards, not hitting them but their sleeves, pinning them to the metal wall. "What the?!" They said as they tried to break free but couldn't.

Mayura chuckled. She then rushed towards the guards as she pulled out a miniature sai out of her shirt and the two blades on the sides folded out and she slashed the larger middle blade on their necks, just breaking the skin enough to draw a little blood. Then the veins near the cuts turned dark green and the guards shook like they had a seizure and then passed out.

Quattro, Quinton, and Terra walked up behind her. "Um, are they…" Quattro stuttered, while he did enjoy hurting people, there was a line he would never cross.

"Dead?" Mayura finished his sentence and then chuckled. "No, but if I jabbed this into them then the poison would most defiantly would kill them. But a small nick like that just makes them pass out and forget what happened before." She then folded the sai back and put it back in her shirt.

"You keep a poison tipped blade in your… brazier area?" Quinton asked.

"It only releases the poison if it's unfolded. Plus it is the last place one would expect a weapon." Mayura said.

"Now it's my turn." Terra said as she walked in front on the keypad. She then pumped her fist and a large silver blade protruded out of her sleeve and she slashed the keypad twice, creating a T. There was an electrical crackle and the doors opened. "There we go." She pumped her fist again and the blade retracted back into her sleeve. "Follow us boys." Terra said as she walked in with Mayura behind her.

"Who are these girls?" Quattro said to his brother.

Once the four of them reached the end of the hallway they saw a large door with no guards but a few security cameras that Mayura quickly took out. "That door is only accessible from the inside so there's no control panel for you to shred." Quinton said.

"Well then." Terra said as she protruded two blades, one in each arm. "I guess we'll just have to go through it!" She then kissed her first two fingers on both her hands at once. She then thrusted her blades above her head through the door and carved the door like a warm knife through butter. Once she reached the bottom she retracted the blades and kicked the area inside where she carved, not only knocking it down but denting it as well, and once it fell down she kicked it across the room.

Quinton had a horrified look on his face.

"What is it Quinton?" Quattro asked.

"Those girls…" He uttered.

"I get they're impressive, but-" Quattro was then cut off.

"It's more than that Quattro… That door was pure tungsten, the hardest and densest metal on the planet, not to mention the most heat resistant… And she just cut through it like it was paper. Just being able to pierce it is means those blades aren't silver, not entirely, but being able to cut through it like that shows enormous physical strength."

"And that other one hides daggers and throwing stars in her skirt area and that poison blade in her chest area, yet how she fits those things in there inconspicuously and without jabbing herself is beyond me." Quattro said.

"You boys coming?" Mayura said from the other side of the door.

"Umm, yeah." Quinton said as he and Quattro entered to room.

The room had several elevators in it, all having heart shaped doors. "The elevator on the middle will take you to the top floor where the kid is being held." Mayura said, gesturing towards said elevator.

"I know that, but how do you know that?" Quinton asked. "Also, you two said Tron paid you to let us 'tag along', which implies you two were already going to break in here. What could be in here that would cause you to break in?" He asked.

"That is our business. And you might want to get what you came here for before security realizes their cameras are out and their doors are busted?" Terra said.

"Yeah, you two better hurry up." Mayura said.

The two brother had questions, but they needed to get their job done and went into the elevator. "Just how do you plan one getting out of here?" Quattro asked.

"Oh, we'll find a way. You guys just focus on you." Terra said as the door shut and Quattro and Quinton went up.

When the guys were up in out Mayura laughed. "It's hilarious that those two actually think that Tron is paying us!"

"Well, they don't know who's really in charge. But the best Pawns are the ones who don't know they're being used." Terra said with a smile.

Mayura smiled and put her right hand on her cheek. "Now let's go get what we came for." Her green feather cluster Crest appeared on her right hand.

"Yeah, let's get our prize." Terra then pushed a button on the elevator behind them with her left hand as her yellow Omega Crest manifested on her left hand.

The two brothers were riding up the elevator preparing to complete their mission, which was to take the boy known as Hart.

"So how do you want to play this?" Quattro asked.

"The boy is in a very fragile state of mind, but he should recognize me. I'll get close enough to him to put him under our persuasion. That way we can be in and out before anyone realizes he's gone." Quinton explained.

"Okay, but what about Kite? From what you've told us about him, once he realizes his brother's gone nothing will stop him from finding him." Quattro said.

"Relax. Where we're going Kite won't be able to find us, at least not right away." Quinton said.

The elevator dinged at the top. The two brothers walked down a hallway to a room with a heart on it. When they opened the door there was a small boy with blue hair staring out a window. They then walked towards the boy.

"You…" Hart said weakly.

"It's alright Hart." Quinton said. His forehead glowed and a blue Crest on his head resembling water and sent out an energy wave. Seconds later Hart's eyes softened. "Now come with us." He said as his Crest faded away.

"Okay…" Hart said as he followed the two men out of his room.

Minutes later the all three of them were in the helicopter bay. "Okay Hart, climb inside." Quattro said as he opened the hatch door.

Once Quinton was inside and Hart was fastened in, he started the helicopter, which alerted security.

"Hey, just what are you doing?!" One guy said.

Quattro smiled at the twenty something guys in front of him. He pumped his right fist and his flame Crest manifested on his hand. He then outstretched his hand and send pulses of energy at the security team, which sent them flying, knocking most of them out as then hit either the wall or floor. "Too easy." He then hopped in the helicopter and they took off.

Kite was walking away from an alley with a man all aged and groaning. "Another Number for the win."

His robot partner then rolled up next to him. "M, M, M, M, Master Kite! Emergency a Heartland Tower!" Orbital 7 said. "Th, th, there was a break in just moments ago!"

"A break in? Who would be crazy enough to do that?" Kite said.

"Do, don't know! But your brother, Master Hart, has disappeared as well!" Orbital informed.

"WHAT?!" Kite said. "Orbital, we need to get back to the tower now!" Kite ordered and Orbital immediately transformed into his glider form and took Kite back to Heartland Tower.

It took a couple of minutes but Kite reached the Tower and saw it was in panic mode. He immediately went to Mr. Heartland's office for answers. "What happened?! Where's my brother?!" He said as he barged in.

"Kite, right to the point. Less than an hour ago the guards out front were attacked and drugged with something kind of poison that has rendered them unconscious, plus the security cameras were all destroyed plus the control pads were slashed as well. Someone really wanted to get into." Mr. Heartland said.

"And my brother?!" Kite asked angrily.

"Yes well, we have confirmed that that an elevator went up to his room level, but when we inspected his room there was no sign of forced entry or resistance from Hart, meaning he could have just wondered off." Mr. Hartland said.

"Or he was drugged like those guards!" Kite said.

"Given your brother's… tenancy towards strangers and that the guards were drugged at close range the likely hood of that is extremely low. However, we can't seem to locate him so he might have wondered off into the city. Now, Hart has a limited knowledge of the city so there's only a few places he would go and we have a search detail going to them now. Don't worry, we'll call when we find him."

"Yeah, well I'm gonna go look for him myself." Kite said as he left the office and flew off to find his brother.

After a while of flying Quinton landed the helicopter near their base of operations, an old run down museum. Quinton then carried Hart in his arms, in a cradling position.

"You still care about that kid, don't you Quinton?" Quattro said as they walked away from the helicopter.

Quinton groaned. "While I won't deny that during my time with Hart and Kite I developed feelings for them both, that all when away when I discovered the truth about Dr. Faker. Then I immediately went to retrieve both you and Trey from those Hell holes you were placed in." Quinton responded, noticing Quattro touching his scar.

"Soon we will have our revenge on that bastard who ripped our family apart." Quattro said as he opened the doors in front of them.

The two brothers went inside and placed Hart in the middle of a large diamond made up of four smaller diamonds each with a symbol in the center, a red sun with an eye, a purple crescent moon, a yellow Omega, and a green cluster of feathers.

Trey then walked in with a small child who was wearing a light blue medieval outfit and wore an iron mask, his right eye and mouth side showed through while his left eye was covered by a red lens and the left side of his mouth was covered by an iron mouth piece. His hair was blonde and in a side braid on his right side and his eyes were yellow. The boy chuckled. "Excellent, you two got the boy here just in time."

"Of course Tron. We would have been here earlier, but the hired help ran a little late." Quattro said.

"No matter. Now that we have him we can begin both the ritual and the downfall of Dr. Faker!" Tron said eagerly, giving a psychotic chuckle as he walked over and laid down parallel to Hart with this head at Hart's feet and Hart's feet at his head.

The Crests beneath them glowed and the two boys were levitated a couple of feet in the air. Then white ribbon like strands rose up from beneath them and wrapped around both of them, their arms, legs, bodies, even on their faces. Then the strands that were connected to Hart began flowing with blue energy and once the energy reached Hart's skin he began to groan.

Soon Hart's body was encased in a magenta aura and yelled as he expelled mass quantities of energy into the air that collect above him. "Perfect!" Tron said as a pink Crest formed on the left side of his mask, the Crest looked like a bird and the eye on his Crest was directly over the lens on his mask. From the growing energy cloud above them some of the energy was being drawn into his mask and soon Tron was encased in the same energy.

Then magenta colored energy was being drawn out of Tron's body by the strands that were attached to him and into the Crests below him.

"What's happening? I thought this ritual was so that Tron could absorb all of Hart's power. Why is it being absorbed by the Mega Crest?" Trey asked his brothers.

"While Tron is absorbing most of the power from Hart, it could be dangerous to do it all at once so some of it is being bleed through the Mega Crest and into our Crests." Quinton explained. And as soon as he finished that sentence all three of their Crests glowed and they felt a small power surge.

Terra and Mayura were standing on a building watching the chaos surrounding Heartland Tower.

Mayura chuckled. "Those idiots are so focused on finding their precious Hart that they didn't notice what we stole from them!"

"Yeah!" Terra agreed, holding up a briefcase. Then their Crests glowed as they gasped. "Are you feeling this?"

"Oh yeah. Draining that kid not only powers us up, but we also cripple whatever plan the Barians had for him as well!" Mayura said with a chuckle.

Eclipsa was in a kitchen putting a kettle on a burner when she stumbled as her Crest glowed. "Oh my. If this is just what we get from the beginning, I can't wait to how much we get in the end."

In a dark bedroom a girl was sleeping when a red sun Crest glowed on her forehead. The girl gasped and slowly rose up, while her face was shrouded in the darkness the Crest illuminated her bangs, which were blonde.

Millennia chucked wickedly. "Oh Tron, you actually think you are getting most of the power? We are the majority of this power. But don't worry, they amount we'll leave you and your boys a generous amount for all the hard work you do for us." She then started to cackle.

Hart could fell his power and energy slipping away. "No!" He said as she tried to break free from the bindings, but when he did the blue energy got more intense and caused him to release more power and draining more of his energy until he stopped struggling. "Kite… help… me…" He said faintly.

Above Hart the collective cloud of energy grew larger due to the extra amount of power released, and this would attract the attention of some people.

Mizar was walking down an ally when he got a familiar felling. "No, it can't be…" Mizar then vanished and reappeared on the roof of a building. "This power I'm feeling, it's defiantly Barian in nature. But only an Emperor can bring this amount of energy into this world. But Dumon's back in Barian putting Alito and Girag in stasis crystals… leaving Vector behind this." He then went off in the direction of the energy.

Kite was on top of a building in a field of turbines. "I was sure he would come here."

His robot then started acting up. "Master Kite! Master Kite! MASTER KITE!" The robot screeched.

"What Orbital?" Kite said with thinning patience.

"I got a reading on Master Hart's energy signature!"

"What?! Are you positive?!" Kite asked.

"Yes! I would recognize that signature anywhere! But it's not in bursts like before, it's more like a continuous wave." Orbital said.

"I don't care we just need to get him!" Kite then rushed off the building with Orbital 7 on his back and transformed into flying mode and flew in the direction of the energy detection.

After a couple of minutes Kite reached the castle like museum that was surrounded by a lake. "Are you sure about this?" Kite asked his robot, which reverted back to original form.

"Positive!" The robot said.

"Just what are you doing here?" A familiar voice said.

Kite turned around and it was Mizar. "I could ask you the same question. Did you kidnap my brother?" Kite asked.

"Your brother? What would I want with him? I came here because there is a large quantity of Barian energy inside that building." Mizar said.

Inside the building Trey was looking at the monitors and saw Kite and Mizar. "Um guys, we've got company!" Trey said to his brothers.

"How did he find us so quickly? And who's that with Kite?" Quattro said with anger.

"Obviously they tracked us by tracing Hart's energy. That recent spike in power must have caused the energy to be more traceable. As for that man I don't have a single clue…" Quinton said.

"Either way, I'll crush them." Quattro said as he walked away.

Quinton walked up from behind his brother. "Wait. Kite is a very powerful Duelist, and my knowledge of his moves will certainly guarantee victory." Quinton said.

"Fine. Just don't get in my way." Quattro said as he continued walking.

"Good luck." Trey said to his brothers.

Outside the museum a stone walkway emerged from the water, basically an invitation to come in. Kite saw this and rushed in to find his brother while Mizar was casually walking behind him so he could find the source of the power. Yet there was also another strong power that was new, yet also familiar that he felt.

Kite barged in through the front door and saw nothing but run down statues. "HART?! HART WHERE ARE YOU?!" He shouted, but no response as Mizar walked up beside him.

Then there was the sound of footsteps. Kite the pulled a face of both shock and horror. "Chris…" He muttered.

"Hello Kite. It's been a while." Quinton said. "I didn't expect you to find us so quickly."

"You know this guy?" Mizar said as he walked to Kite's left as his interest peaked.

"The better question is…who are you?" Quattro asked as he walked next to Quinton's right, making him in front of Mizar.

"My name is Mizar. That's all I'll tell you. Now Just where is that massive surge of Barian power coming from?"

"And where's my brother?!" Kite yelled.

"Oh you mean the twerp. Don't worry Kite, we'll return the pieces once we're through with him." Quattro said with a smile.

"Why you?!" Kite was ready to strangle this guy when Quattro shot out a Duel Anchor that attached to Kite.

"What the?!" Mizar said, then Quinton shot out his own Duel Anchor that attached to Mizar. "Oh no!" He said.

"Now you two have to Duel us if you want to get to Hart, a Tag Team Duel!" Quinton said as the Duel Anchors vanished.

"A TAG DUEL WITH HIM?!" Both Kite and Mizar said simultaneously.

"Oh yes. And with Quinton as back up you two don't stand a chance!" Quattro taunted as he pulled out his blade like Duel Disk and materialized his Duel Tattoo with his Crest.

"You're gonna seriously regret this! GO, PHOTON TRANSFORMATION!" Kite said as his body turned white and his blue Duel Tattoo formed on his face and locked in his moon shaped Duel Disk.

"Very well, but you two will experience suffering like never before!" Mizar said as he formed his Duel Disk and his eye turned red.

Quinton didn't say a word but his Crest glowed brightly as a green Duel Tattoo formed over his eye as his iris turned an orange goldish color. He held out his arm as a golden out line formed of his Duel Disk as it manifested. It was a double sided blade with the shorter end having a V on it, an infinity symbol in the middle, and on the longer side had a I and a X.

"Let's Duel!" All four of them said as they drew their hands.
