Gilbert’s four year old niece Delphine is under the impression that him and Anne are dating. Rather than correcting her, he decides to go along with it. One problem though- Anne has no clue whatsoever that any of this is going on.

Written after S3/E10 of Anne with an E aired in Canada, and after the devastating news that this beloved series will not be renewed for a 4th season. Admittedly, I am in the depths of despair. Marilla wakes up to Anne having a bad dream

"Believe me, I can handle Mr Phillips, Diana. Do not worry about that." Mr Phillips was the least of Charlotte's concerns since her return to Avonlea.

Gilbert is caught leaving the letter containing his confessed love to Anne in her room. Feeling guilty of compelling Anne to love him back, he attempts to get the letter back before Anne can read it.
