OOC: So Incredibly Late with keeping up with this and decided that instead of writing Long Chapters, Gonna be keeping them Shorter so I can update more Frequently. Anyways, hopefully you'll enjoy.
Reeve chuckled lightly as the young man took off from the Battle Simulator keeping his eyes on the other 4 members, he nodded slightly at Max who nodded back at the youngster and soon the youngster was off to the elevator leaving the 5 standing there.
Axel: What an interesting character.
Reeve: That he is, but he has definitely grown into a mature fighter but he still has a lot to learn.
Tifa: If that's the case then why are you sending him out with us?
Reeve: Because what he needs to learn, he won't get it in a combat simulator.
Blaze: I get it: life lessons
Reeve: Got it, as much as Shiva and Max want to keep him protected in a bubble that just isn't possible.
Max grunts a little bit from the comment but Reeve just smirked at the big man
Tifa: Well Reeve, why not tell us more about what you want us to do?
Reeve: Why don't we wait until our final member is ready to join us; I do have a quick meeting I need to take care of, so how about you meet me in my office in an hour.
Tifa: Um Reeve, where is your office?
Reeve: You remember President Shrina's old office? That's where I am now.
Tifa: Rufus didn't take it?
Reeve: Rufus felt it was too hard after everything that happened and what he did, he didn't want to be constantly reminded of what happened.
Tifa nodded and soon they went there separate ways for awhile, Max went with Reeve and while Blaze and Axel offered to take Tifa with her, she refused and decided to check out the new Shrina building at her leisure.
Max and Reeve
As the two men made it to Reeve's office Max sighed heavily as Reeve noticed this and went and sat in his chair
Reeve: Problem Max?
Max: Sir, I was curious...You had your choice of who would be your bodyguard; why did you choose me?
Reeve thought about it, he never gave a reason as to why he chose Max as his bodyguard, Reeve cleared his throat and motioned for Max to sit down which he did across from his boss.
Reeve: I guess you say that you impressed me when you helped rescue Adam after he was taken by Mr.X
Max: I was just helping out Axel though; I didn't know Adam.
Reeve: You still rescued him; you put your own career and life on the line to save someone you didn't know at all. When I found that out about you I knew you were the right man for the Job, Rufus agreed.
Max: I...See
Max for the first time in his life was speechless; He was just helping out a friend, he wasn't expecting to get recognition from it. Still at least he knew that someone saw something in him. As Max sat there, soon the door opened and in walked Rufus Shrina with Tsung, Max stood up quickly and bowed to Rufus who smirked.
Rufus: It seems your bodyguard is still getting used to his role
Reeve: it is weird for him that is to the say the least
Rufus: Still; his history is impressive. Makes me wonder what would have happened if I had him fighting for me against you and your former allies.
Reeve: Are you coming in here to try and distill dominance again? Every time this happens we end up drinking and playing cards.
Rufus and Reeve chuckled a bit before Rufus sat down across from Reeve, Rufus made a motion with his hand and Tsung bowed and left. Reeve nodded to Max and he bowed as well and left leaving the co-presidents together in the room.
Reeve: So you wanted to talk; what's going on?
Rufus: I'll be brief; The group your forming. I want them operating in Midgar for the time being.
Reeve sat back in his chair and folded his hands underneath his chin; interesting he thought.
Reeve: Why is that? We are trying to expand ourselves and having those 4 can help, plus they know a lot of people.
Rufus: Exactly, they know a lot of people and here in Midjar is where we need that the most. You and me both know that Midjar is in shambles after the battle with Kadaj and his group and we need to fix a good portion of the slums; that should be a priority
Reeve: Not sure they will want to be laborer's.
Rufus: It's not the type of fixing I mean; There are gangs coming to all our sectors and they are planning to assert dominance over the citizens. My Turks can handle some of them as well as Shrina Security but the reality is, there are more cases and problems then the Turks and Security can handle.
Reeve: You make good points
Rufus: plus you were part of Urban Development, you know how to get this city to be the metropolis it once was.
Reeve: You're giving me too much credit.
Rufus: Just take the compliment
Both men chuckled as Reeve pulled out a bottle of whiskey from his desk and poured some in two glasses for himself and Rufus, soon the two began to drink and chuckle talking about the old days.
