"In the year 1822, Lady Kozu Maya, was selected to be the eight prime minister of Japan. Beating her fellow female competitors in a landslide, winning the majority of the vote's. But not long after her election male men all across the country began to violently protest. Demanding to have equal rights and be treated equally just like women even if they are quirkless. Over time people called this protest 'The Alpha Male Supremacy' or the 'Alpha M.S.' for short."
"Men rioted in the streets, they marched across the plains, they destroyed thousands-of-dollars worth of public property, and some even threatened the lives of many important government officials. But in the end the government witch is gladly ran by women, repeatedly denied and ignored their request for equality. As their protest socially created a wedge between men and women everywhere, as both side's of the argument grown a deep dangerous hatred for each other world wide."
"Witch proved that men can't be given equal right's as women because of their sick twisted violence. Their own protest proved men can't be given the exact same right's as women. The entire world will surely end in a fiery destruction, as they can't handle the responsibilities to keep our society alive and stable and it must be handled by women and only women alone."
"But as the year's went by and the world progress thing's in some way's became more balance as we moved forward to the modern era…"
Tuning out.
I'm pretty sure in everyone youthful schooldays, we all tuned out a teacher or two. Not to be rude, mean, disobedient, or even disrespectful but just because their pointless lectures are just so drop dead boring. Just sitting their in your little dull desk with a pencil in hand ready to take notes, continuously looking at a middle-age person standing in front of the classroom who have more wrinkles on their face than a dusty old shirt. Who endlessly going on and on and on about something you clearly have zero interest in can make your eyelids a struggle to keep open, make your body go completely numb from your head to your toes, make your head a little heavy to keep up, and once their all in full effect the next thing you know it your fast asleep.
And sadly that is exactly what happening to a classroom full of uneducated youthful pre-teens right now. Their only a half-a-hour in and about the entire class were already falling asleep. Slouching in their seats, mouths hanging halfway open, drool hanging from the bottom of their lips, and that stupid look of beginning to space out into the unknown written all across their little faces.
No one was listening.
No one cared.
No one was paying attention… except one boy black green-ish hair.
"Midoriya!"
Shooting his head up from writing his notes, in shock Izuku directed his eye's forward to the front of his classroom. Looking his teacher in her eye, already knowing she was studying his body language up and down wanting to know if he was truly listening or if he was just nodding off to the mystical land of dreamland like everyone else in this room full of slackers. So in respect for his teacher and her teachings Izuku straighten his back up, stopped whatever he was doing, gave his teacher his full attention, and said…
"Yes, Mrs. Bayno!" Izuku responded.
"Please tell me and the class who was the eight prime minister of Japan and what year was she selected in office?" Mrs. Bayno asked.
"The eight prime minister of Japan was 'Lady Kozu Maya' and she selected in the year of 1822." Izuku answered in a instant.
"And how long was 'Lady Kozu' in office?" Mrs. Bayno asked.
"For 10 full years, ma'am." Izuku answered, again in a instant
"And in what year did the men violent protest finally ended?" Mrs. Bayno asked, with a eyebrow raised.
"Around the years of 1838 to 1842, but nobody truly knows for sure ma'am." Izuku answered, once again in a instant.
"Correct, very good Midoriya. Excellent." Mrs. Bayno complimented with a friendly smile.
"You see class, nobody knows when their violent protest ended." Mrs. Bayno said as she directed her speech back to the entire class again.
"As the year's went on the men protest the 'Alpha M.S.' just slowly disappeared and died out like a flame over time. The men across the country became a lot less aggressive and angry as we proceed into the common era as it was slowly forgotten like some bad dream. The damages that were made in the streets because of the protest were slowly rebuild as the year's went on. But the woman controlled government constantly kelp a close eye out just in case this was a trick. They even made some big name 'hero's' guard the streets to make sure the protest was finally over. But moving on from that let's…"
While Mrs. Bayno continued on with her lecture, Izuku turned his head back down to his notebook once again writing notes on what his teacher was currently saying. Making sure not to forget to write down a single word of detail she was explaining as it was sure to be very useful information later in the near future.
But as he wrote, Izuku mind was not fully focused on his task. Even though he wanted to give his full one-hundred percent attention to his work right now, their was something nagging him in the back of his head. Constantly bugging him like a lonely single fly buzzing around your head and ear's practically annoying you to no end. You wave your arms and hands around repeatedly hoping the fly would get the hint and bug off already. But sadly that darn little fly is still going on strong, flying around your noggin basically begging to be squash like the insect it is.
Because of a stupid 'word' Mrs. Bayno said.
A certain 'word' is occupied in Izuku mind at the moment, a 'word' that kept grabbing his attention in a cruel but firm like grip. It kept his focus totally aimed off in a whole new different direction, a direction Izuku wasn't so keen on actually. His thoughts were literally jumping from one subject to another like a frog in a pond leaping on lily pad to lily pad. But what he should be thinking about is the work laid out in front of him but nope, that 'word' witch is burned within his brain is distracting him. Distracting him what he should and could become in the coming future that approaches by every second that passes by with the wind.
Sitting still in his desk, eyeing the open notebook full of hand written 'words' is a gateway to something great in Izuku eye's. The knowledge trapped between the space and drawn within the pages are passage ways to some place better. A sanctum where Izuku can feel entirely wholesome and safe, knowing he actually doing something right. Knowing he actually is being useful to someone in this teen-packed room or someone out their in that sad divided world.
But that 'word' though.
That 'word' Izuku hated.
The 'word'… Hero.
Somewhere in his vessel a little spark of anger would light every time Izuku heared that 'word'. It's nothing but a insulting slur that bleeds in Izuku ear's, ruining his entire day from start to finish. Izuku mouth would even halfway open and show his teeth connecting together gritting in mindless rage, looking like a wild dog that just been set in attack mode. But for some reason Izuku would feel sad and sometimes despair in his flesh and weak bones at random rear time's when he…
"Ow!" Izuku whispered, rubbing the back of his head.
Out of nowhere Izuku felt some sorta tiny projectile hit him square hard in the back of his head. Even though it felt solid and round it also felt a little slimy, witch it was since it now stuck to his hair like glue when it made contact. But wanting to know where it came from, Izuku turned his head around and looked behind him. Searching the back of the classroom with his eye's looking for the source the slimy projectile came from but when he did it didn't take long for Izuku to find it. He found the source and the source is a certain male classmate of Izuku he knew since he was a child. And that male classmate have short spikey blonde hair and red killer eye's.
"HA! HA! HA!" Katsuki chuckled quietly, with his lackeys. "Did you guy's see that? I got that lousy Deku."
"HA! HA! Yeah nice shot man." Katsuki friend complemented.
"Try to see if you can hit him again, dude." Another Katsuki friend encouraged.
Sitting a couple of desks away, Izuku can hear Katsuki chuckling it up with his two friends with those evil twisted smirks across their faces. Knowing they must be feeling so very glad they were able to torment Izuku from the distance that is between them by shooting disgusting spit wads at him. But seeing that Katsuki was twirling a drinking straw in his right hand, it was a dead give away for Izuku to confirm that he was the shooter who shot that saliva covered mini paper ball at him.
And just knowing that info, Izuku deeply wanted to speak up and show the classic middle-finger right in front of that spikey blonde boy face. He wanted to give him a good huge piece of his mind so he'll know how exactly how he felt about him in this current moment. Izuku wanted to stand up, tall and proud in front of the entire class to signal Katsuki that he is the one who is in control and he wasn't going to deal with his bull crap anymore. But not just only for him, but for every innocent victim Katsuki bullied who had to endure the agonizing feeling of being so small and hopeless. Both physically and mentally.
Ever since they were children in grade school he have mocked and ridiculed people, innocent people who done absolutely nothing to him. The guy get some sorta freaky kick out of it or something, it's like his second nature at best. Izuku used to think they were friends, he still remember a time when they were small and fragile their were no bad blood between the two. They would run and play together like the world was their little playground behind a elementary school somewhere. But strangely as time went on Katsuki started to bully Izuku, turning their friendship into a heated battle of ongoing bickering that never took a breather even for a second.
For years Izuku tried to at least maintain their childlike friendship in some awkward ways, even after Katsuki out of the blue bullying Izuku at least pretended they were still close friends. Treating Katsuki like a brother in some rather clear ways but sadly that didn't last for to long for him. Overtime dealing with the torture Izuku gave up on their friendship and let it collapse into the rubble it was clearly made out to be. Giving up Izuku gave in to the insulting name 'Deku' Katsuki harshly gave him and quickly hid within the shadows with the other defend less victims Katsuki stomped on.
But this could be the moment Izuku could turn the tables on Katsuki. Make life better for every male man in the world who didn't have a violent bone in their body to fight back with. Obviously Katsuki never picked a fight with a female girl because due to them all having amazing quirks that could move mountains off their foundations, Katsuki basically only stuck with bullying guy's instead of girls. Witch is in some way understandable because picking a fight with a girl or a woman is like a dishonorable crime in the public's eye but you really couldn't get arrested for it.
But after a few seconds of Izuku staring, he and Katsuki finally made eye contact with each other…
"What are you looking at, Nerd!?" Katsuki threatened.
Turning his head around quickly in fear, Izuku returned his sight back to the front of the classroom.
"HA! That what I thought?" Katsuki snarled. "Pathetic Deku!"
"Excuse me!" Mrs. Bayno intervened, noticing the little commotion. "Is there something wrong over their?"
"U-Uh…? N-No ma'am, their nothing wrong." Izuku answered. "Everything fine."
"Are you sure?" Mrs. Bayno asked with a eyebrow raised. "You look a little flustered?"
"Yes ma'am." Izuku said with a fake smile plastered on his face.
"Then please pay attention, Mr. Midoriya." Mrs. Bayno ordered.
"Y-Yes ma'am." Izuku said. "I'm sorry Mrs. Bayno."
"Now as I was saying class our world is ran by…" Mrs. Bayno said as she continued on with her lecture.
It was no secret that Izuku is deeply afraid of Katsuki. I mean the guy is the definition of anger and fear rapped up in a highly dangerous explosive bomb, with a fuse so short no man in the entire school would dear to mess with him. Just staring in those cold red eye's make's him sweat like a derange pig and make his body tremble like a falling tree. Izuku wanted to take a stand against him and his tyranny, he really truly did. But all that mindful buildup that was going on inside his head was nothing but buff.
All bark but no bite.
Who was he kidding? Izuku can't possibly win a fight against a armor tank like him, it was basically impossible in his case. Katsuki is a giant who lives at the top of a luxury beanstalk and Izuku is nothing more but a ant who leaves at the bottom of the dirty earth.
But as class went on, Izuku attempted to keep his focus set on his teacher words and nothing else. Endlessly writing whatever Mrs. Bayno said in his notebook while making sure he didn't misspell his written text. But it was proven to be very difficult to accomplish due to Katsuki and his pals. All threw out the entire class time he continued to shoot spit wads at him with his trusty straw, while his two lackeys friends continuously laughed and encourage him to keep going at it. Izuku ignored them the best he could while hoping they'll get bored at some point and engage their self's in something more entertaining. Sadly that hope died out when Katsuki shot his forty-seven spit wad at him.
But even though the back of Izuku head is probably covered in spit wads right now. Izuku kelpt his eye's forward, not once looking back at the three stooges behind him. The anger that sleeps inside him builds up repeatedly during his humiliating torture but every time it did it would completely collapse on it's self. Vanishing like it never even existed in the first place and that felt horrible for Izuku to face up with.
After a while it felt like this endless torture was never going to end until he heard…
'BBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIINNNNNNNGGGGG!
The Bell.
"Okay class, that will be all for today. Don't forget to do your homework tonight, it's due tomorrow morning on my desk right when you walk threw the door. Also please try to get home safely this evening, remember it's a dangerous world out their and I'll see you all tomorrow." Mrs. Bayno shouted over the sounds of her students leaving.
Finally… the day is over. Witch mean Katsuki constant fire of spit wads can finally stop and decease. At first Izuku was little scared that Katsuki and his crew were going to continue their abusing even after class was over like they did every other day but luckily for him, they were one of the first people out the door when the bell rung. Leaving Izuku to be one of the very few students to be left in the classroom with their teacher.
'I guess they really wanted to get out of class today.' Izuku thought to himself, as he quickly wiped all the saliva covered spit wads off the back of his head with his hand.
Grabbing his notebook, pencils, and pens off the top of his desk. Izuku carefully stored them all in his red backpack on the floor, once he did Izuku stood up on his own two feet. After putting the straps of his backpack on and making sure he had everything, Izuku headed for the door of the classroom planning to exit right threw it. But before he could a certain familiar voice witch held a lot of authority within it called out to him.
"Midoriya!" Mrs. Bayno shouted out. "Hang back for a second please."
Doing what his teacher requested while also being the only student in the room, Izuku stopped and turned around and walked toward his teacher desk while also hoping he wasn't in some kind of trouble or something. Izuku was almost completely sure he hasn't done nothing wrong or caused that big of a disturbance to the entire class, beside from the bothersome Katsuki constant saliva ball shooting scuffle he had a minute ago. But keeping his posture in check, Izuku proceeded the situation with the same attitude he gave to all his teachers. Making eye contact, giving them his full attention, and speaking respectfully with zero attitude in his voice.
"Y-Yes Mrs. Bayno, is something wrong?" Izuku asked with a little nervousness.
"Oh no, nothing wrong." Mrs. Bayno said, as she leaned agents her desk with her arms crossed.
"Do you need me for something then?" Izuku asked.
"No, not really." Mrs. Bayno simply said.
"Then why did you tell me to stay Mrs. Bayno?" Izuku asked.
"I just wanted to… check on you." Mrs. Bayno said.
"Check on me?" Izuku repeated, with a brow raised.
"Yes, you seem little off today." Mrs. Bayno informed him. "Little more off than your usually are."
"Really? How?" Izuku asked, little eager to know.
"Well I notice you haven't been mumbling in class like you usually do today?" Mrs. Bayno said.
"O-Oh…? Well…?" Izuku said, while awkwardly rubbing the back of his head.
"I normally have to tell you to stop that a couple of time's threw the day, you know." Mrs. Bayno said with a small smirk.
"Uhm…?" Izuku muttered threw his lips.
"And I also notice you didn't turn your homework in on my desk this morning." Mrs. Bayno said, with a brow raised.
"Oh! I knew I forgot something this morning." Izuku said, literally frustrated with himself. "I have it done Mrs. Bayno but I just forgot it at home. I'll turn it in tomorrow, I promise."
"Okay, fine but you be sure you turn it in." Mrs. Bayno scolded. "But seriously, what wrong Midoriya? What's on your mind? You never forget about your homework."
"Nothing, really. But I guess… I guess im just a totally different person today, hehe." Izuku said with a very weird smile.
"W-What does that mean?" Mrs. Bayno asked, a little put off about his statement.
"I… I don't really know, im really sorry Mrs. Bayno." Izuku said, disappointed about the weird atmosphere in the room he just created.
"Don't apologize, just tell me what wrong with you today Midoriya." Mrs. Bayno said, concerned about her student.
"Nothing." Izuku reassured her.
"Are you sure?" Mrs. Bayno asked. "You know, you can tell me anyth-"
"Mrs. Bayno im fine, I promise." Izuku reassured her again.
"Okay…" Mrs. Bayno said, not fully believing him. "Then you can go then."
"Thank you, Mrs. Bayno." Izuku said, walking toward the door. "I'll see you tomorrow."
"I'll you see tomorrow and don't forget to do your homework tonight." Mrs. Bayno reminded him.
"I won't, bye." Izuku said, finally exiting the room.
Now being the only person in the classroom, Mrs. Bayno stared at the open door Izuku exited threw. Her thoughts lost in a maze she couldn't get out all because of the very student that just left her presence. And as much she wanted to praise and respect Izuku for his work ethic, Bayno couldn't deny the fact that he was indeed a weird one. She been a teacher for twelve long years and she never met a student or person like Izuku in her whole entire life.
Mrs. Bayno only been his teacher for three years now and she still couldn't get a full grasp on him. She taught many teens and encountered many type of people in her day but no one can close to that boy. Izuku is a character who hard to read, some people would just label him as weird and awkward and sometime little dark within the light. But she couldn't be fooled so easily, Izuku is most definitely a rear individual you don't randomly meet on a street corner. He'll surprise you in ways you honestly would not see coming, it's odd how a small frail boy like him could dance around a person mind sometimes. You can just tell just by looking at him he not doing it on purpose but it's just the general vibe he give's off in the environment.
Even for a male boy who growing into a man, Mrs. Bayno couldn't disrespect the child. His level of thinking and ways of operating in this world divided of people of gender is incredibly next-gen in her eye's. That boy Midoriya earned her respect that some women didn't have and never get in a hundred years. So with that said, Mrs. Bayno let out a soft sigh and returned to her work…
'Oh, Midoriya.' Mrs. Bayno thought to herself. 'What am I going to do with you?'
Mrs. Bayno had a lot of paper to grade.
"Mr. Aki!" Izuku called out. "Hello Mr. Aki, im here!"
Entering threw the front door with the chime door sounding off threw out the entire building. While also wearing new clothes such as a plain white shirt and black shorts. Izuku entered a small convenience store called, 'Aki Speed Mart'.
Still being the late evening outside, with the sun lowering it's self into the edge of the earth while casting a lovely shade of orange over the whole city. The air became a medicine for your skin and lungs outside, being a heaven sent gift from above that can make wanna explore the wilderness of the streets. Knowing it would be a beautiful calming experience for your eye's seeing the city readying it's self for the coming night that will cover the area in it's darkest of sheets.
But sadly for poor Izuku he couldn't attend or take part in that certain activity because he had a job.
"Ah! Midoriya, my boy." Mr. Aki said, shooting up from behind the check out counter. "Your finally here, excellent. I was afraid you were going to call out for today, are you ready work?"
Mr. Aki is the manager of the store, aka he's Izuku boss. He's a man well above his forty's who wear square glasses but still maintain a head full of slick brown hair even though it's a little grey in some places. He's fair average in height and mostly taller than most men but still skinny as a freshly made pencil. Aki didn't have any well develop muscles on his body but Izuku was already fully aware of the tattoo of a long serpent like dragon scattered all over his right arm.
"Yes sir and are you ready for your date tonight?" Izuku asked, putting on his store work apron.
"Yes I am… or at least I think I am." Mr. Aki said, slowly losing his inner confidence. "I'm not going to lie to you Midoriya, im a little scared."
For the last week, Mr. Aki been freaking out about his date he had with a woman that usual came around the store every now and then. She would drop by every other week to buy some food and sometimes restock on some home supplies, but basically she a everyday customer who good to get along with.
But Izuku easily notice something for a while now, every time she walked threw the door Mr. Aki would watch her constantly like a hawk. From aisle to aisle he would gaze at her like she was a angle God sent from the heaven's above. At first Izuku thought maybe he was watching her because he was afraid she might steal something, but that love sick look Aki would get in his eye's told a completely different story.
Her name is Chikako Lee, she about the same age that he was and surprisingly had a lot in common with Mr. Aki. The both like going out on walks, their favorite animal are dogs, and both surprisingly like reading romantic/adventure books. It's kinda crazy how much they had in common but of course being a woman she had one thing that make them both completely different… a quirk.
Accidently eavesdropping on one of their many conversations, Izuku found out she is able to light up the tip of her fingers like they were flash light's. It's a useful quirk that have it's advantages but he couldn't help but wonder how far Chikako could take that quirk and make it work in way's that could surpass a simple house trick.
But after finally gaining the guts to ask her out, she happily said yes and they both made plan's to go out to a family restaurant on the other side of the city. Izuku was happy for him but of course being a official date that it was Aki was defiantly scared and worried that it will go completely off the rails and go horribly wrong. So Izuku try to be that person in his corner of the ring to show his comfort and support since he clearly needed it he wanted this date to go well. But sadly, it looked like Aki needed more support…
"Don't be just go their, be yourself, and be completely honest with her and everything will turn out alright." Izuku said, hoping he'll take his advice.
"Are you sure?" Mr. Aki questioned in nervousness. "Maybe I should just call her and tell her I can't make it beca-"
"No, you are going to go and you are going to show her who you really are." Izuku said, cutting Aki off. "Honestly is the best policy."
"Okay… if you say so." Mr. Aki said, checking his watch on his wrist. "Oh shoot! I gotta go or I'll be late."
Quickly taking off his store apron and tossing in the back were his office is, Mr. Aki prepared to head out.
"Midoriya, are you sure you'll be okay on your own?" Mr. Aki asked, putting on his jacket. "I can really just call her and try to post pone the date, I don't have to go."
"No Mr. Aki you just go and have a good time." Izuku said. "I'll be fine on my own, remember it's not my first time closing by myself."
"I know, I know, I just don't want to put all the work on your shoulders but if your completely sure than I guess I'll go. But if anything bad happens threw the night you be sure to call me, alright? I don't want to come back here tomorrow morning and see the whole place in shambles." Mr. Aki ordered, with authority in his voice.
"You got it, boss." Izuku said.
"Good, well… I guess I'll get going." Mr. Aki said, heading for the door. "Wish me luck."
"Good luck, sir." Izuku said, watching him leave.
"Oh… Midoriya?" Aki said calmly, looking over his shoulder at Izuku.
"Yes, Mr. Aki." Izuku responded with open ears.
"Thank you for this, you're a true hero." Mr. Aki happily said, finally exiting out the door.
Watching him leave threw the front door, Izuku smiled and waved good-bye to him till he was out of sight. But when he was out the door and long gone from the establishment, Izuku smile slowly vanish from it's place like it was never their. His eye's lost that look of interest in them and went completely dull like a little girl play doll. Faint sounds of cars and birds could be heard from the outside, lively sounds fulfilling the room full of space but it couldn't fulfill the dead silent that lives in Izuku soul.
His body give's off a sudden chill feeling in the air that could be literally smelled once it's reach your nose. It's strange knowing you couldn't define or be horribly disgusted of the sudden scent, but you can be surprised and some what fear the sudden feel of it all as it creep up your spine like a venomous serpent going for the kill.
Automatically walking behind the store check out counter by the cash register, Izuku stood their with a plain empty look on his face. Waiting for a customer to walk in and buy whatever he or she needed for their daily day to day life. But as he stood, the room it self got a lot more darker. Even the sun evening beams that manage to make their way inside building weren't enough to light up the dark atmosphere that plague the building. Izuku was actually glad no one is here right now because if they were they would probably be heavily disturb of the wicked presence that possesses the room at this moment.
All because of him.
All because of Izuku.
All because of that 'word'…
Hero
'Why…? Why did he have to use that 'word'?' Izuku though to himself.
9:00 PM
"Man… what a day." Izuku tiring said.
Leaving his work apron inside on the hanging rack, a tired Izuku exited the store with his red backpack on looking like a boy who just wrote a dramatically long essay for school. It was a constant struggle to keep his eye's open anymore and he felt like his leg's were gonna give out beneath him at any second. His feet hurt for standing for so long it literally exhausted his brain cell's to a point he couldn't really think fully straight. But being that he been working here for about a two years and three months now Izuku is used to this state of working, even though it can be a total drag sometimes.
Turning around making sure he turned off all the light's inside Izuku locked the front door with the spare key his manager Aki gave him a few short days ago. Storing the key in his pocket, Izuku let a tiring sigh and walk toward home knowing he'll be able to fully relax once he got their.
Now being dark outside, the city lights and street light's tunred on a while ago. Giving the city a magical look even though the sidewalks are completely deserted of people to see. Witch was kinda strange to Izuku since in this city their always people outside doing something.
'Everyone must be at home asleep, I guess." Izuku thought to himself. 'But I guess I should be heading home to, huh?'
As he walked with a pain in his feet, Izuku mentally remembered and checked off everything he was suppose to do tonight. Before he closed up shop Izuku sweep the floor, clean the women and men bathrooms, and made sure to restock all the shelf's. He also cleaned the windows, took out the trash, and reload the freezer with more bags of ice just for good measure. It wasn't easy but Izuku was sure he done everything that needed to be done.
He promise Mr. Aki that he'll look after the store while he was away and that what Izuku plan to do.
Working at 'Aki Speed Mart' wasn't all bad for Izuku. He enjoyed working their and Izuku enjoyed working for Mr. Aki but due to him still being in his last year of middle school Izuku couldn't work full hours like he wanted to, the law clearly stated that he could only be allowed to work half hours on certain days. But after afew short months of back breaking hard work Izuku proved that he could be trusted and do more than a typical kid his age can do. As time went on Aki gave him a bit of a raise and let him work more hours whenever he wanted to. Sure, Izuku only got paid fourteen yen a hour but whatever the amount of yen he can get his hands on was good enough in his book.
Izuku and Inko needed it bad.
It was no secret that Izuku and his mother were poor, they didn't have a lot of yen to spend and barely could afford the apartment they were living in. They couldn't afford a car which made them have to rely on the trains, buses, and miles long walking and most horribly they couldn't pay most of their bills. Both his and his mother paychecks went to buying groceries and paying the rent for their home, all the other stuff like the electricity bill, the internet bill, and cable bill had to come last. But every now and then they were able pay them but that getting pretty rear now days for them.
But of course still being a kid that he is Izuku didn't really need to work, he could quit his job and let Inko worry about all their finance problems. Let her be the parent and take care of the situation all by herself. But…
He couldn't… Izuku couldn't put all the weight of their problem's on her shoulders. Inko might have a strong will to keep moving forward with a bright cheerful smile on her face but Izuku could see right threw that facade. In the inside she is a woman standing right on the edge of a roof on a high building preparing herself to jump a hundred stories down to her death. And just the thought of that alone is terrifying to Izuku, she is the only family member he had left and he couldn't possibly imagine what his life would be like without her in it. Everything he done and did up to this point is for her, Izuku had to be strong for her, Izuku had to stay focus for her, Izuku had to make sacrifices for her.
Inko gave almost half her life to keep him happy… so if Izuku had to give up his entire childhood to keep her happy… then he'll happily do it.
"GIVE ME ALL YOUR YEN OLD MAN!"
"Wha-What was that?" Izuku said, looking around were that voice came from.
Searching his surrounding's, Izuku realized he walked into a city park on accident. He must've been so caught up in his thought's he haven't even notice the route he was taking home. But still wondering were that voice cam from, Izuku looked to his right and saw a walk way tunnel made out of concrete cement. The tunnel had some lights attach to each side of it's two walls so people who stroll into it late at night can see. But dew to the light's being very dim and almost dead, it made the tunnel entrance look a lot scary than it suppose to be.
"Maybe it came from in their." Izuku whipsered to himself, shaking in fear.
But knowing the voice came from in their, Izuku slowly approached the tunnel trying so desperately to stay quiet. But when he got close enough to see inside Izuku looked and saw three guy's who looked like they could be high school teenagers ganging up a older man wearing a plain black suit. He couldn't see the older man face due to the tunnel light's being so dim but he could tell that the older man was bang up pretty bad. Blood witch Izuku believed belonged to the older man covered the walls and floor, his suit was torn up in some places with dirt scattered upon it, and seeing him slumped against the wall looking like a dead forgotten body left to rot wasn't much of a pleasant sight to see in his position.
"I said give me all your yen, old man!" The head thug said. "All of it!"
"Dude, I think we knocked him out." The second thug said.
"No we didn't, this old prone is just playing hard to get with us." The third thug said.
"Or maybe the old bastered is dead?" The second thug said.
"No he so not, look at him he still breathing." The third thug said. "He not fooling anybody."
"Who cares?! He handing over his yen one way or another." The head thug said, popping out his pocket knife. "Even if I have to gut it off him."
The older man is defiantly still alive, Izuku could still see him heavily breathing even from his distance. But it looked like he wasn't going to be breathing for long if Izuku didn't do something to help him. He couldn't possibly go in their and fight them, they'll take him down with just a single punch if he did that. Izuku wasn't a fighter, he couldn't defend anybody even if his life depended on it. But he can't just ignore this and walk away like nothing happened… could he?
'I should call the police.' Izuku thought to himself, preparing to take out his phone. 'Wait, no. They'll take to long to get here. The poor man will be long dead by then.'
'Maybe I should yell for help?" Izuku thought again. 'Wait, no. They'll hear me, kill the poor man, and probably come after me.'
'Maybe I should go search for a…' Izuku thought again in disgust. 'No! No way im gonna go looking for a… 'Hero'. It's not happening.'
What should Izuku do? He can't do anything but sit here and watch this poor man suffer.
'What should I do?' Izuku hopelessly thought to himself. 'What should I do?'
With no other option to pick, Izuku did something really brave or really really stupid.
"HEY!" Izuku yelled out, entering the tunnel while gaining the thugs attention. "L-Leave him alone!"
"Huh? Who the hell is this kid?" The second thug asked, looking at the kid with a brow raised.
"I have no idea." The third thug said.
"That kid look very short for his age. huh?" The second thug said.
"Hey mind your own damn business kid, don't get involved." The head thug said, continuing his approach to stab the older man to death.
"I-I said… Leave. Him. Alone." Izuku said, trying to hide the fear in his voice. "How about you pick on somebody your own size."
"Oh, well lookie lookie here boys." The head thug, walking toward Izuku forgetting about the beaten man. "It looks like we got our self's a wanna-be-hero right here."
"Pssh please this boy a hero, he got more bones than he does muscles." The third thug insulted.
"How pathetic, you should have ran when you had the chance kid." The second thug warned him.
'Oh boy, their a lot taller than I thought they were.' Izuku fearfully realized.
Seeing now that the three were approaching him normally with those creepy disgusting smiles across their faces. Izuku was sweating up a storm right now, the closer they got the smaller Izuku felt. Izuku knew they were high schoolers witch meant they were taller but the three thugs must have went threw a growth squirt or something because they just got bigger by the second. They towered above him like skyscrapers in Izuku eye's and he couldn't help but stand their frozen in fear knowing there are zero chances of him winning this one.
"O-Okay, l-look guys I don't want to fight yo-" Izuku said, trying to calm down the situation but got quickly cutoff.
"Oh! Now you don't wanna fight, you were talking a big game a few seconds ago." The second thug taunted.
"Yeah, what happened to that little hero attitude you had huh?" The third thug taunted. "What? You scared now?"
"W-Wait… I-I…" Izuku stuttered, slowly walking backwards. "L-look just don't hurt m-"
POW!
Out of nowhere, the head thug kneeled Izuku right in the gut hard, making him scoff up some of his spit out of his mouth and on to the floor. Izuku fell to his knees, holding his stomach in pure pain wishing a faint police siren could be heard to scare off the thugs and signal him that help is on it's way. But nope, Izuku is alone with no one near to help him. The only thing he can do is hope they show him mercy and just leave him to rot in the dirt where he belong. But sadly that wasn't gonna happen either…
"I'm sorry, did that hurt you little hero." The head thug taunted. "Or are you man enough to take some more."
He was scared, Izuku was scared out of his mind right now. Their no telling what these three were capable of, they could literally kill him if they wanted to. Izuku is out numbered and clearly out matched, the tears in his eye's told him that he already lost this battle before it even started. The only possible way out is to beg them to let him and the older man go, give them all their yen they had on their person and beg them desperately to let them go with the bruises they already had. Show the three thugs that they won and they were the one's in control and he'll do whatever they wanted him to do. But could he do that…?
Grabbing Izuku messy hair, the head thug yank his head up from the concrete floor wanting to see his tearful face.
'S-Someone… H-Help…' Izuku tearfully thought.
"Aww, don't cry were just getting started." The head thug said.
BOOM!
Punching him in the face with a right hook, Izuku quickly fell to the floor once again on his side. But this time that hard strike manage to give Izuku a very bad nose bleed. The head thug hit him so hard Izuku could of swore that punch broke a side of his face to pieces. He didn't even wanted to know how bad his face looked like right now, he probably have a black eye, a busted lip, and everything.
"Come on hero boy! GET UP! GET UP! GET UP! GET UP!" The head thug said repeatedly yelled, kicking Izuku in the chest a thousand time's over. Creepily smiling to the sound of his fellow two delinquents laughing at the small boy horrific beating.
With every hard hitting kick Izuku felt against his chest, he wished that the thugs would just finish him off already. Just end his life and get it over with, the world would probably be a better place without him anyway. He lived a good life it's probably best for him to die knowing he at least tried to do something brave then be a everyday by stander. Or maybe he can die knowing he made a grave mistake by not running away like a coward he knew he was. If he walked away and minded his business like everyone else, he wouldn't be lying here on the cold hard floor with a ten-foot guy kicking his chest in till his lungs collapse.
Maybe he should've walked away…? Maybe he did made a big mistake…?
Wait
'No... I didn't.' Izuku deeply thought.
Like a switch on the wall, Izuku mind turned on like a light in a empty room. He instantly decided didn't make the wrong call, even if he is getting his butt handed to him Izuku knew he did what a person is suppose to do. He stood up for someone who couldn't defend their self even if he knew he would fail miserly against these guy's he still at least tried to do the right thing and that is all that matters. Lying their on the cold concrete floor is a painful victory knowing he didn't run away this time. Izuku stood his ground and attempted to do something no boy his age would possibly do. Izuku know and realized a long time ago that he doesn't have a quirk and he knew he was never going to be a hero. But…
You don't need a quirk to do the right thing.
"No…" Izuku whispered under his breath.
"What?" The head thug said, stopping his hateful kicking for a second. While giving the boy space to see if he'll do something. "What did you say, brat?"
"I said…" Izuku said, trying to stand back up to his feet. "NO!"
Feeling like a man who just climbed a tall mountain, Izuku struggled at first but he manage to stand back up on his own two feet. Looking a boy who ready to take on a entire weaponized army all by himself. With a fire in his eye wanting to burn a hole threw space time it's self, Izuku held up both his fist getting in a noble fighting pose with a likable sensation urging threw his veins. Wanting to thrust his fist deep inside the three thugs ugly faces so they'll know what it's like to feel beaten on.
"ALRIGHT! YOU BASTERDS WANNA FIGHT?! THEN LET'S GO!" Izuku yelled in a fit of rage.
"I'M DONE BEING EVERYBODY LITTLE PUNCHING BAG! YOU CLOWNS NEED TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON AND IM HERE TO TEACH IT TO YOU! SO BRING IT ON! I'M RIGHT HERE!"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!"
Yelling a derange battle cry Izuku ran full force toward them. Feeling nothing but fire in his veins, Izuku ran like a mad man running from dreadful years of being locked up in a cold hard insane asylum somewhere. It's like all the years of him depressing his inner emotions came out in a single yell and all that emotion is going to be dangerously acted out in this fight. But as he ran Izuku raised his right fist high, preparing to slam it whatever he can hit the three ugly demons. Hoping his punch will send one them right back to hell where they truly belong. A jail cell is way to good for them, they needed to burn in a fiery pit in order for them to truly realized what they did is dead wrong.
Nearing his targets, Izuku ready himself for the punch of a lifetime. Izuku is gonna put everything he got in this one single punch. But once he was finally close enough… Izuku swung… but he somehow missed.
He actually went right threw them to be honest.
"What?" Izuku surprisingly said, as he stumbled forward because of all his momentum.
Very confused about what just happened, Izuku turned around and looked behind wanting to know if he truly missed or did they just dodged his attack. But they didn't and Izuku didn't miss either…
They were gone.
