BUUZZ! BUUZZ!
"W-What…?" Awakened Izuku said, startled.
Shooting his head up from his folded arms on his desk Izuku awoken from sleep. A little startled by the sudden awakening but sighed with relief after realizing what woken him was nothing but the common sound of his little alarm clock beside his bed. The clock clearly showed in red big flashing numbers that it is now 7:00 in the morning now. The sun is once again beginning it's quest up into the high blue sky again and the temperature is now increasing to the higher number's, changing the feeling of the city climate by the living hour's that ticks by.
Izuku slowly gazed around his room trying to fully process what's actually happening but after a while he realized he fell alseep at his work desk… again. Which explained why his body and clothes felt so uneven and uncomfortable. The cloth that made his clothes just felt so unnatural and weird in the simple term's but combine that together to his foggy mind right now it created a ugly space around Izuku he couldn't accept. But that what happens when you fall asleep at a desk. Sitting in a chair while laying your on a desk wile using your folded arm's as a temporary pillow is not the most comfortable spot to slumber in.
"It's morning, already." Izuku said, yawning while scratching the back of his head.
Still gazing around his living space with a face which clearly showed that his brain was still going threw the process of waking up for the day. Izuku mind was completely blank like a piece of empty paper. Nothing currently was on his conscious but the simple fact that it was another beautiful morning. Sure, Izuku didn't feel so great due to him falling a sleep at his desk again but, besides that everything looked pretty good for his standards. Until after a minute went by a slow feeling of complete horror absorbed threw Izuku bone's…
"The man… the man in the suit." Izuku said, with a face full of fear.
Abandoning his seat Izuku made a mad dash to his bedroom window. He quickly threw opened the window curtains which blocked his view of the outside world and saw… nothing. Izuku thought he would see the disturbing view of the man in the black suit standing outside under the same light post again but he gladly wasn't. He was gone and that little info was enough for Izuku to sigh in relief and bring a small but good smile onto his face.
"H-He's gone. He's truly gone." Izuku praised. "Thank goodness."
Izuku remembered. Out of instant nowhere Izuku remembered everything that happened last night. The thugs, the park, the brutal beating he received, and the older man in the black suit. It all just came back to him in a blink of a eye but what really stood out to him the most was the man in the black suit. That older gentlemen followed him all the way home to his apartment where he lived and stood outside in the bitter black of night just casually looking up at his bedroom window. Of course, anyone who experience something like that would probably be forever scared as well but visually, that not what stood out to Izuku.
What stood out the most was the hollow empty and somewhat disturbing feeling he got when ever that man was around. His presence alone could give goosebumps to anyone from head to toe. Not only that but whenever he was close Izuku could actually feel the temperature drop to below zero freezing. The air itself would get so cold around his prolixity Izuku could literally see his own breath whenever he let out the little air out from his lungs.
He knew it was strange to think that the man in the black suit was some creepy stalker with bad intentions. Since he was the person he saw getting brutally mug by the three thugs last night. But every time he thought back to that man Izuku stomach would turn and twist in awful sinful ways. He couldn't explain but the innocence he thought the man in the black suit had last night with the three thugs in the park is not their anymore. Izuku thought he was the simple victim in this sad story but judging by the sick inner feeling Izuku was getting it didn't seem like it in the slightest.
"Ow, my head." Izuku complained, rubbing his skull.
Turning around completely facing away from the widow Izuku fully gazed around his room. Catching his eye, Izuku noticing that he didn't put up the 'Hero Analysis for the Future' notebooks which are still laid out across his work desk.
"My notebooks are still out my desk? I must've accidently fallen a sleep, I guess." Izuku said.
So Izuku simply went over to his desk and put the 13 notebooks he hope the world will never see into their shoe box and back under his bed were they belong. But once that was done Izuku remembered something rather strange but also weird. He couldn't remember falling asleep.
"But, wait… I don't remember trying to sleep. I don't even remember sitting down at my desk."
And Izuku also defiantly couldn't remember ever once sitting down at his work desk and simply wanting to fall asleep for the night. After seeing the freighting appearance and disappearance of the man in the black suit outside his bedroom window last night everything went a blur. It was all just one big blank to him, he couldn't remember anything after seeing that man. But surly after the night Izuku had he should be able to remember everything to the smallest detail but surprisingly he couldn't. He couldn't remember ever wanting to sleep because of the endless layers of ongoing fear that prevent them self's the night before.
But with all that still rattling within his head Izuku still had school to attend to so he simply went and got his school black gakuran uniform on. Once again accompanied with his white shoes and red backpack which is now strapped around a single shoulder. Exiting his bedroom and proceeding to the living room Izuku thoughts went towards his mother Inko again. He found it odd that she didn't attempted to wake him up like she usually did this morning. Whenever he slept pass seven she would quickly wake him early enough to eat breakfast so he wouldn't be late to school. But strangely, Izuku didn't hear peep or a sound that singled him that his loving mother is up and around the house.
"Mom?" Izuku, called out.
Turning a corner and entering the living space Izuku eyes immediately went towards the couch. Obviously wanting to know if Inko was still where he left her sleeping on the couch. But she wasn't, the couch is now empty with no sign of life that showed that she was anywhere near. The room and the entire apartment it self is completely quiet. So quiet the only thing Izuku ears are able to catch is the distant but sudle sounds of birds chirping in the outer walls and the distant cars swooshing by on the street outside.
Usually during this time of the early day Izuku nostrils would capture the loving smell of Inko cooking. The things she could muster up in the small quarters of their kitchen would create a scent that would spread out and fill their home to the point overdoing. Surely, Izuku never complained because the things she could served on a plate or a bowl is magnificent to devour and excellent to smell as well. Which made the time's of breakfast, lunch, and dinner a blessing for his hungering mouth. But due to the fact that it is peacefully queit and low of life it singled Izuku that Inko is not currently active.
"Mom?" Izuku, called out again. "H-Hey, Mom?"
Now Izuku is worried. Inko is always active in the morning, even on her off days. She the kind of person who enjoy getting up very early so the sight of the apartment being so vacant in this time of the day is very odd to Izuku. So wanting to know where she is Izuku searched the house. He searched his mother bedroom, his mother bathroom, all the closets, and honestly everywhere to find no sign of her anywhere in their dwelling of a home.
"Where is she?" Izuku, asked himself. "Mom?"
Wondering back into the small kitchen still on the search. Izuku eye's caught something new that he didn't notice during his go round in the kitchen. On the refrigerator with a circular magnet on top keeping it pinned from falling, a sheet of lined paper that looked like it been recently ripped from a notebook is up on the closed door. On the paper handwritten text is there which looked like it been written using a number-two wooden pencil. But already knowing that wasn't their before or the night before Izuku approached the fridge and began reading the text or (words) written on the sheet. Which said…
-Izuku
'Got a call from work this morning asking me to come in early today. My manager told me I'll be paid overtime of course so I said yes. Your breakfast is already prepared in the microwave but be sure you heat it up first before eating it. Also were badly low on groceries and all out of apple juice so you'll have to drink water from the sink if you get thirsty. I probably won't be home till 9 or 10 tonight but I promise I'll cook dinner when I get home.'
-P.S. Don't forget your backpack and have a great day, sweetie!
-Love You, Mom.
"Darn it, Mom… you do way to much for me." Izuku said, staring shamefully at the kitchen floor. "I wish I can do more for you. "
Now knowing what to eat for breakfast this morning, Izuku went to the microwave to receive his food. Which was a plate of toast, scrambled eggs, and two stripes of crispy bacon. Taking the plate out of the kitchen and into the living room Izuku sat down in the middle of the couch. But now holding the plate with just one single hand Izuku used his other hand to grab the TV remote off the coffee table in front of him and turned the dark square screen on. At this point Izuku was basically channel surfing. Clicking away on the remote he kept going till he found the certain channel he wanted to stop on which was 'Channel 19 New's'.
"Okay… lets see what's happening with the world today." Izuku said.
Izuku did this almost every morning. When ever he had a little time before he had to rush off to school in the morning he would turn on the TV and see what going on in the world. He would see what the weather is going to be like threw the week, he would see what happening in his specific area he and his mother lived in, and he would even sometime's stay and check what been happening in Japan political world.
Izuku never been the type of person who cared deeply about everyday politics. But just being aware what is happening and what is occurring wouldn't hurt. Plus, Mrs. Bayno been repeatedly reminding him and the class that they should take more of a interest in learning more about our female driven government. Because in the not so distant future as we proceed further in school into the higher grades our exams will be more political focus. So learning a thing or two about their female law makers could be a major gain for him in the long-run.
But now stopping on channel 19, Izuku set the TV remote down on the coffee table and began eating his breakfast. While keeping his eye's glued on the screen he saw that the new's station is just starting to begin showing what the weather is going to be like threw the week. But that not what he is currently concerned about right now because he already knew what the weather was going to be like before-hand. So Izuku decided to not pay much attention to that and just tune it out till they say something worth listening to.
Till a certain female reporter voice grabbed his ears which said…
'Good morning, Musutafu City. I'm Yua Buu and last night at the 'Charity Spotlight for Children' HQ building. The head of the organization was hosting a festival for the people of Musutafu City hoping to raise awareness for hungry children. But one of the honored guest who appeared last night was one of Japan Top-5-Hero's 'Nana Shimura'. Who gave a heart warming expiring speech for women and men everywhere on the podium yesterday. Take a listen…'
Cutting from Yua Buu the TV reporter, the television now showed a repay of the famous hero 'Nana Shimura' speech. Being held in a massive event judging by the endless loud cheering going on in the background. But what Izuku now saw was fairly tall woman of a slender yet voluptuous frame standing behind of a glass podium with a microphone close to her mouth. Her hair was dark and straight, kept shoulder-length with the exception of a clump of short bangs hanging above her forehead and a half-up bun on the back of her head. Her eyes were sharp and intelligent but she also had a small but noticeable mole below her bottom lip centered to the right a little bit.
'Nana Shimura' speech begins…
'Hello, Musutafu City. My name is Nana Shimura and I am so glad to be here tonight. The support I've seen in this crowd for 'Charity Spotlight' is so amazing I can't even express my happiness in words. The sight of all of you willing to come out here and give up a little of your free time to just support feeding hungry children is something of pure beauty tonight. And I can't help but feel so honored to be part of a project so big and giving it's bring tears of joy to my eyes. But not only that, but all of you man and women here to serve a singular purpose to just help the younglings is something very special. '
'Despite our differences and rocky relationship threw the years we managed to find common ground with one another and tackle the real true problems we have in our society. It doesn't matter if your male or your female but what really matters is that we come together as people and try to shine a bight light of good on our world before it's get engulfed in forever darkness. Because if both gender continue to bicker with each other for no good valid reason will soon lead our self's to our own demise. And I think I speak for everyone when I say I rather walk a path full of peace and love and harmony than a path full of chaos and destruction. Thank you all for having me Musutafu City and I hope you all enjoy the festival. Good night!'
Ending her speech while walking off stage the crowd erupted with cheering. Praising the white cape wearing hero for her heartwarming speech and never ending fight against the forces of evil. But with a quick click of a remote in hand the television went black and turned off. Instantly cutting the loud commotion to a complete stop as the room went quiet leaving Izuku sitting idly on the living room couch. With his breakfast eaten, devoured, and gone from his plate something else is now present in the room with Izuku. On his face a deep cohesive frown is their, which you wouldn't really expect to see on a boy like him is written all across his face.
"Lier." Izuku accused.
Almost every word Nana said in that speech is a lie.
Izuku knew men and women are not equal.
Izuku knew women are far superior than men.
And Izuku knew that no matter what men do… women will always be at the top of the food chain.
Sure, politics can preach day and night that men and women are equal and should be treated equally. And sure a lot of people will probably believe them and think the world is a big magical snow globe full of wonderful happiness but Izuku wasn't born yesterday. They can sugar coat their fancy speeches and statements to the world just to get a applause and a praise from the audience but that alone didn't mean nothing. He knew far well than anybody who is really pulling the strings in their so-call 'perfect' society. He knew the sinister motives behind all the smoke and mirrors they played out before him.
Hero's like Nana loved to talk about equality, justice, peace, and saving people with a smile on her face. But she completely ignores the most obvious wrong doing's of things right in front of her. The people she support, serve, and take orders from are mainly the core disease the corrupt take place. Day after day Izuku see the ongoing corruption that plagued their system. It happens rapidly threw the days but just covered up to make it look like it's no big deal. Nobody acknowledges it and Nana continues trying to hide and lie that the government and the world is in the perfect state of balance. But no matter how you look at it about every word that leaves Nana mouth is a dreaded lie.
Nana is one of Japan Top-5-Hero's. Million women across the world look up to her and see her as a inspiration anybody can somehow relate to. But… Izuku is 'no' fan of hers. Other's may put her on a high pedestal and give her rewards and constantly thank her for her bravery. But Izuku can see right threw Nana ongoing cheerfulness and see that it's nothing but a shameful act she uses to fool people into her corner.
When hero's become hero's they swore to protect the innocent and keep the peace by any means necessary. But it turns out that only applies only to women. The male population is their last concern which they don't have the slightest care for. As long the female driven government can keep the men happy and not rioting threw the streets with banners and torches in their hands, screaming about equality for all. They'll keep them in the lower classes while women continues to rein supreme and have full dominance across the world.
"Woah! Look at the time, I gotta go!" Izuku said, after checking the time on his phone.
Abandoning the couch, Izuku quickly grabbed his empty breakfast plate and rushed off to the kitchen. Placing the said plate in the sink to be washed later on in the late evening. But after that he quickly put on his backpack and exited the apartment while making sure he locked the front door, knowing he occasionally forgets that sometimes whenever he's in a hurry in the morning. Now jogging down the apartment complex outside stairs, Izuku mind is heavy focus on getting to school on time. So far he have a perfect attendance record and he really didn't want to break that streak. It might tip off his teachers that he beginning to slack off and lose that edge he had on his fellow peers for so many years.
But due to his full focus and concentration on his education Izuku failed to notice the shady man in the black suit watching him from the distance. Eyeing him down as he descended the stairs like a new piece a candy he can't wait to eat, taste, and devour like a child on Halloween night. And like all sweets Izuku had a certain thing about him that made him stand out from the rest of the pack of the minority. I mean, just watching him from the far in the shadows intrigued the stalker to continue it's siege on the boy. Izuku is a gateway to something bigger, something only he can lead the way to. No words on earth can explain why he is so special but Izuku is most defiantly a wide-open wounded gazelle waiting to be hunted by the lion. Which make's Izuku the perfect target.
'Izuku… Midoriya…' It spoke.
"Hey, did you hear Nana Shimura speech last night?"
"Well yeah of course, im pretty sure every girl in the whole school heard Nana speech by now."
"I swear Nana is like so my hero and such a huge inspiration."
"Just wait when I become a hero im going to be just like her."
"Ha! In your dreams. Nobody can come close to Nana Shimura level."
After a couple good hours in a classroom sitting averagely in a desk, jotting notes in a notebook from a teacher ongoing talking about a certain education she wished to acknowledge the class with. The bell rung and it is finally lunch time and about a dozen of students in school acquired uniforms filled the cafeteria. Engaging their self's in eating their bento's they brought from home or just casually talking among themselves about common middle schoolers thing's. At the moment Izuku is sitting at a table alone by himself just trying to get some studying done. But with so much noise, chattering, and constant commotion going on that usually heard in a school lunch room. You would think it would be hard to hear anyone specific conversation but actually it wasn't… not today at least.
"Where do you think Nana Shimura train on a daily basic?"
"Probably on top of one of the worlds tallest and coldest mountains in the world."
"Do you think it's true that Nana put away thousands of villians and criminals around the world."
"No, Nana put away a lot more than that. She even had a hand in stopping the major drug ring in Brazil last year. Nana Shimura can do anything."
'Wow… all the girls are talking about her today, huh?' Izuku thought to himself. 'If only they knew the true.'
As expected all the girls in the cafeteria, grouped up together in their part of the room are endlessly talking about Nana Shimura speech last night. Which Izuku knew would happen since almost the entire female population in Japan (mostly young girls) are huge fans of her. Their talk of Nana as main core topic of conversation for girls grew so loud it got hard for Izuku to ignore. And since Izuku like to use his everyday lunch time as a golden opportunity to catch up on his studying than eating a bento brought from home. It grew rather frustrating for Izuku to focus on reading and remembering the hand written notes in his notebook laid out in front of him on the lunch room table. Due to the girls and their hype for Nana it looked like Izuku won't be getting any studying done.
But the cafeteria is a very divided place. Even though the large room is filled with many tables and chairs that guaranteed a seat for everyone it is still a very divided place. Because there is a certain law and order made by the students of the male and female gender they followed on a day to day basic. On the left side of the lunch room is where all the boys must sit and eat their bento's and on the right side of the lunch room is where all the girls must sit and eat their bento's.
Nether side spoke or interacted with the other during this time of feeding and relaxation and nether side dared stepped foot on the other side territory. Basically all schools across the globe that welcomed boys and girls under one singular roof of education worked this way. It's not a rule made by the schools or the nation leaders, it was made up by the students themselves who wished to keep the two genders separated as much as possible. Of course, during class time there is nothing to done about it due to the teachers seating arrangements. But during lunch time, certain activity's, special events, or even sporting events this is how school life worked and this is how school life will forever remain.
But as Izuku continued looking down at his notebook in front of him, truly trying to stay focused on his studying. It grew even more harder for Izuku to stay on task due to the girls increase of voice volume discussing Nana Shimura. By the second he'd breathed their talking of the famous female hero in the white cape got louder and louder to the point he can't even hear himself think in his own skull. Now frowning at the annoyance of the girls love for the hero Izuku quickly let the frustration go as he heard a conversation that was surprisingly not focused on Nana Shimura. And the conversation came from two boys who were sitting at a lunch table a feet away from him, eating their bento's with look's on their faces that showed they were clearly bored of a day of school.
"Hey, which high school are you going to attend after graduation?"
"Don't know, haven't gave it much thought to be honest."
"You haven't decided yet?"
"No, just does it really matter which school we attend? Aren't they all the same when it come down to us boys."
"Yeah basically, but are you at least concerned about your future."
"Nah, not really. I'll probably drop out of high school in my 2nd year anyway."
"Your funeral, dude."
Paused in a moment of recognizing. Izuku mind drifted long away from the desire to study and on to something else completely different from what he truly wanted. Turning his head back down towards his notebook full of thin papers of words and letters, Izuku face now showed a expression of emptiness mix with depression as his thoughts were now ramping on to a topic he wished he could forget.
'Oh yeah… graduation.' Izuku thought, sadly. ' I forgot all about that.'
Izuku nearly forgot it is now the end of year which mean it's his last year of middle school. He'll have to say goodbye to his middle life and say hello to the high life in a whole new environment in a whole new school. But that not what depressed him, what really depressed Izuku is that he'll have to soon decide which high school he wanted to attend to. And Izuku is one of the few students in his school who have the most outstanding grades, especially for a male boy his age. So he wasn't afraid that won't be able to choose or get into a certain high school he liked. Due to his high grades and attendance record Izuku can pretty much get into any school he wanted in the country, that wasn't the key issue.
What sadden Izuku to near despair is the clear hard hitting reminder that this would have been the year he could have apply for 'U.A. High School.' The #1 ranked academy that taught and educated some of the greatest hero's we see in today modern life. But he couldn't…
Men don't get quirks…
Only girls can be hero's…
Izuku a boy… Izuku is a male boy…
He doesn't have a quirk…
Izuku can't be a hero.
"I guess I better decide which high school want to go to then." Izuku stated to himself. "But which-
RRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNGGGGGG!
With the bell sounding off signaling that lunch is over. Both sides of the male and female of the room rose out of their seats and started packing up their leftover editable materials. Scattering around the cafeteria in multi different directions, obviously heading back toward their classrooms while talking to their fellow peers while doing so.
"Lunch is over? Already?" Izuku questioned. "Back to class, I guess."
Shoving his notebook in his backpack on the floor, Izuku like his classmates stood out of his chair and prepared to head back to class. But while standing in place putting on the two straps of his red backpack… a sudden change came to the air. Izuku felt cold. The sudden feeling of uneasiness covered Izuku like a 10-foot wave of water crashing down on his head. Paranoia consume Izuku wholly as he felt like he was being watched by devil-like eye's, scanning him from top to bottom like some eye pleasing treat waiting to be devoured. Izuku stomach started turn and twist in miserable ways and light signs of sweat and pressure covered his little noggin to point they were streaming down his face.
"I-Its that sick feeling again." Izuku stuttered. "But where…?"
Trailing off, Izuku looked behind to see someone he wished didn't see. Their standing in the crowd of swarming students like a human statue is the man in the black suit. And he was staring dead at Izuku.
"It's him. H-He's here." Izuku
The man in the black suit is here. In Izuku school staring at him like derange mental patient. Izuku never been this close to him before. Every time Izuku see him he always a good distance away but this time he's right here, front and centered. But what Izuku realized about the man is that he is very above average in height, he very tall than most male men he seen in his life time. And the man head is covered in some silhouette shadow that stained his upper body in blackness, witch continued to pervert Izuku to see the man face. Izuku couldn't make the substance that covered his head and half of his torso but he knew is wasn't something within the norm of a shadow. Cause the bright lights of cafeteria from overhead would of defiantly showed the stalker face to the world like it would to any other normal person.
'This man isn't normal.' Izuku thought, in horror.
But what Izuku also realized is that the care free students who continued to walk by and around him acted like the man wasn't even their. They carried on with their business acting like a very tall man in a black suit standing idly in a cafeteria staring directly at boy isn't weird at all. Some of them acted like he wasn't even their. Couldn't they see him?
"Hey! You with the red backpack!" A teacher yelled, who wondered into the cafeteria.
"Hm?" Izuku uttered surprised, turning around to the source of the sudden voice.
"Didn't you hear the bell ring, kid? Get to class!" The teacher ordered, rudely.
"Uhm… yes, sir." Izuku said.
Turing back around towards his stalker, he was met with a big surprise.
The man in the black suit was gone.
"He vanished?" Izuku said.
