AN: Hey guys! This is the final chapter that falls in line with the show. I did a little, "in the day of Ben" chapter I may upload too. I hope you enjoy!

Chapter 11

The Hargreeves family sat in relative silence as Diego drove them to the Icarus Theater. Half of them kept stealing glances of the young woman in the back seat who was still unconscious and leaning against Klaus. Luther was in the backseat with them, he'd been the one to carry her to the car, while Allison rode up front with Diego.

Luther finally spoke, "I didn't know she could do that."

Klaus nodded his agreement. He still replayed the events from the bowling alley over and over in his mind. Men weren't supposed to make those kinds of noises when they died. The only other person he knew who could do something that frightening to other people was Ben. Although, to be fair, those terror-filled screams probably had more to do with the tentacles that would erupt from his body.

"She told us she could." Diego said absently.

"When?" Luther asked.

"Back at the manor, when Allison was hurt." He replied as though it should have been obvious. "She said the Old Man trained her how to rip people apart from the inside. Well, that's what that looks like."

Attention slowly drifted back to her once more.

"What do we do with her now?" Diego asked bluntly. "We can't really take her into a fight like this."

"Water," Klaus said. "She just needs some water."

The convenience store clerk eyed the small gathering of people as they walked in and immediately began to gather up gallons of water. Each of them held a few. All told, there was perhaps thirteen total.

He checked them out, took the cash, gave them their receipt, and watched as they left. Who the hell bought thirteen gallons of water?

Andy was groggy as she woke up, groggy and cold.

When she managed to tear open her eyes, she found a strange scene. She was sitting on the ground, propped up against a wall, and everyone was standing around her. Her brows pulled together curiously. Klaus was knelt beside her with an empty jug in his hand. It was only then that she realized her clothes were wet, and her head was damp. Even in her cloudy mind, she knew he must have opened it and poured it over her head.

"What happened?" She muttered weakly.

"You passed out." Diego said briskly. "Come on. Get up."

She glared at him, but wanted to stand regardless of his stupid command. She tried and nearly fell. It took Klaus to help her to her feet and even then she had to lean against the wall for support. Suddenly, a searing, ungodly pain radiated between her temples. Andy groaned and clutched the sides of her head.

"I need water." She grumbled.

"Oh!" Klaus chimed. "Yeah, no, we got you some."

He stepped aside and it was then she noticed eight gallon jugs that were still full, five that were empty. She arched a brow and glanced down at her body. Apparently, Klaus had poured more than a single gallon over her. It bothered her that it took so many just to wake her up.

"Please," She reached out and, thankfully, Klaus grabbed one, popped the top, and handed it to her. Andy immediately began to drink.

Mouthful after mouthful, she swallowed the whole of its contents within a few short minutes, and dropped the jug. She pointed at another and with a strange expression marring his features, Klaus obliged. She began to drink once more.

"Jesus," She heard Luther mumble. As she emptied the second gallon, Andy could also hear music in the distance. She wasn't the only one. "Shit," Luther hissed. "Okay, we have to do this now. Are you good yet?"

Andy dropped the second jug at her feet and while she did feel a bit better, she was still uneasy.

"Not yet, no." She said. Another gallon appeared in her periphery. When she looked, she noticed Klaus was offering it. She smiled softly and took the gift. "I need a few more."

"Useless,"

Luther spat the word under his breath. Andy wondered briefly if he meant for it to happen or not. Regardless, she heard him and scowled.

"Oh, I'm sorry," her voice dripped with sarcasm, "but blowing up people with my mind tends to take it out of me."

He glared at her, but it was true. Did he think something like that was easy?

"Well, we can't wait." He said. "You two, with me." He pointed at Allison and Diego before his attention drifted to Klaus. "Stay here with her. You can be the lookout."

"Lookout, seriously?" Klaus didn't bother hiding his disappointment.

The others didn't give him a chance to protest any further before they crossed the street and disappeared into the building.

"This sucks!" He hollered.

"Sorry," Andy replied.

"Huh? Oh," Klaus waved his hand dismissively. "No, not that. It's cause I can't-" He waved his hands mystically. She knew what he meant. His power wouldn't help them in the least to fight Vanya. Hers would, but she was fairly certain she wouldn't be able to so much as jog without passing out.

They fell into silence shortly after. Andy didn't really know what to say to him and she doubted he was in the mood to talk. So, while she could, she drank water. Being submerged in it was the best way to recover, obviously, but it wasn't as though she could go back to her tank.

After five of the gallons were gone, Andy noticed she was being watched. Actually, she wasn't being watched. Klaus was flat-out staring at her, gaping like she was some kind of freak show.

"What?" She asked apprehensively.

"I'm just waiting for your stomach to explode." He said. "You just drank five gallons of water."

"Yeah," She said slowly. "And?" Andy actually reached for a sixth.

"How?"

At first, she didn't understand the question, but then she quickly remembered that it wasn't normal for a person to drink so much. It was just her normal. Then again, it wasn't as though the others had ever seen it. Again, she just went to her tank when she was so dehydrated.

"I absorb it really quickly, like water on a sponge."

"Sure," He shrugged a little.

Andy smiled. As she lifted the sixth jug to her lips, Klaus decided that he wanted something to eat and a nearby taco truck was more than adequate. He made his order, but as he did, Andy noticed something odd. Men, dressed exactly like the ones who'd attacked them at the bowling alley, were filing into the theater. Her blood ran cold.

She quickly stood and grabbed the final two jugs of water.

"Klaus, come on!" She called out. Andy didn't remain behind long enough to know whether or not he'd heard her. Instead, she charged into the theater after the people who were probably there to kill the others.

Inside, gunfire came from every direction. The moment she was in the thick of it, Andy dropped her jugs of water and began to use them. Like she told Klaus the day before, manipulating water that was out in the open was so much easier than trying to do it with the blood in someone's body. It took far less energy, and she had a couple of gallons to use.

From her spot beneath the balcony, Andy sent spikes of ice at the attackers. They slammed into their bodies like knives. She couldn't reach the men in the mezzanines, but the ones stupid enough to try and stalk through the aisles were fair game.

Her water supply finally began to dwindle when a blue light suddenly filled the space. It emanated from Klaus, at first. She didn't even know he'd followed her. Until that point, Andy was too focused on the fight.

And then, just as randomly and unbelievably, Ben flickered into existence. Andy was immediately struck dumb at the sight of him and the tentacles that soon flowed from his torso.

Andy took slow, apprehensive steps forward and couldn't believe what she saw. She saw him, heard him, and yet her brain just didn't want to believe that Ben was right there, fighting alongside them like he did before he died. Somehow, Klaus had pulled him into reality.

As she watched, totally transfixed by it, something out of the corner of her eye caught her attention. When she looked, she realized that one of the soldiers was stalking toward Diego. He was low enough that he could have been invisible, but she'd somehow seen him. His gun was aimed directly at Diego, and he was less than a few feet away. Diego didn't seem to know he was going to be shot.

"Diego!" Andy called out.

He looked at her. Andy reacted. She swept her hand up, forcing the gunman to raise his arms and body to turn rigid. Diego rolled onto his back and was instantly presented with the man who could have killed him. Andy never saw Diego's hands move, but she saw three knives suddenly appear in the gunman's chest.

"Ben!" She shouted the same instant she sent the dying assailant into the air. A shining blue tentacle snatched him up and promptly slammed him into the wall until his head burst.

Within seconds, the air had gone silent once more. Ben began to flicker, his light slowly fade. Before he did, he glanced in her direction. Andy caught sight of his smile before he vanished completely. Her eyes prickle with tears. It was bittersweet to see him again.

But, no sooner than he vanished did Andy realize that the entire building was shaking. She looked to the stage and saw the reason. Vanya. She was glowing. Her suit, the violin, the very air around her had all turned white. Everything pulsed and despite the distance, Andy swore she could feel it.

The five of them soon congregated, shortly after joined by Diego. Andy didn't even realize he'd run off until he emerged from the opposite side of the theater than he'd been.

"What now?" He asked loudly over the music and trembling building.

"We have to take her by surprise." Luther said. "Attack from all sides." His gaze drifted to Andorra. "Unless you can do it?"

She shook her head. "I'm not going to explode Vanya." She told him sternly. "And I'm not strong enough, anyway."

"Great," He snapped sarcastically. She glared.

"I might be able to keep her still, though."

"What do you mean?" Five asked.

"I think I can make her stop playing, but I don't know how long that'll last." Andy glanced briefly at the stage and her stomach sank. "She's really strong."

"Okay, fine. You do that." Luther said, "The rest of us will charge from all angles." He pointed at Diego, "Stage Left," then himself, "Stage Right," then at Five and Klaus, "You two take the front and you," he pointed at her, "stay low in front."

Andy nodded and quickly raced off with the others. She followed Klaus, but when he ducked down, she moved into the row of seats until she was almost directly in front of Vanya.

The sight of her friend standing on the stage, vibrating with so much power that it would, not could, but would destroy the world, was terrifying.

Every nerve in her body tingled. She had no idea if she'd be able to stop Vanya, but she knew she had to try. From somewhere in the distance, Andy finally heard the order given. She quickly stood and threw all of her concentration into the task and, as she'd hoped, Vanya's arm stopped moving. The music quit, but the energy still pulsed.

Andy instantly struggled. Controlling someone's body was never easy. She could make them stop moving a limb or something, but it was still tricky. Holding back Vanya, however, was something else entirely. It felt like trying to stop a car from rolling down a steep hill with your bare hands. She might be able to slow it down, but eventually, that massive thing could crush her.

She strained against Vanvya, a feeling that grew worse when the brunette's gaze landed on her. Andy saw her frown. It all happened in seconds, but seconds was all it took. Andy didn't know that Vanya didn't have to use her body to control her power until the others launched themselves at her.

Vanya's reaction was swift and terrifying. A wave of something strong swept over the area and it hit Andorra hard. Her concentration faded and almost immediately she was lifted into the air. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see the others right alongside her. She'd failed, and not slightly, either. In the end, she did nothing to stop Vanya.

The beam of light that touched her chest hurt. It hurt more than she could put into words. It felt like it had reached into her chest, wrapped around her heart, and began to squeeze. Andy wanted to scream, but no sound would escape her. And then came the feeling of her life being stolen. She felt it being drawn out of her, sucked out of every molecule of her body, and it frightened her. Andy knew she was going to die.

It continued for an unimaginable time until, just as suddenly, it stopped. The next thing she knew, Andy had plummeted to the floor. She landed hard on her shoulder and felt it burn. She didn't dislocate it, but must have done something similar.

With her ears still ringing, Andy pushed herself up and noticed Vanya on stage. Allison cradled her in her lap. She wasn't moving. As terrified as Andy was of the young woman, her heart sank at the sight.

The others stormed the stage, but Andy was slow to join them. They surrounded Allison and were clearly relieved to see that Vanya was still alive. Andy was, too, but the joy was short-lived. As she slowly made her way onto the stage, Klaus spotted something through the broken dome overhead. Andy turned to see for herself. A chunk of the moon was careening toward them.

Klaus's stomach sank. That intense joy he felt only a second ago was gone, wiped out with the realization that their efforts meant nothing in the end. He should have been scared, but he wasn't. Not really. Fear generally came when when there was even the slightest chance of survival.

"Well," He sighed as he reached for the dog tags around his neck, "That's it, I guess."

"If Sir Reginald could see us now," Diego sighed, "The Umbrella Academy failing."

Luther joined them and stared up at the massive chunk of space-rock that was intent to kill them. Klaus did grin to himself a little at the thought that the dinosaurs went out the same way.

"At least we're together in the end." Luther said. "As a family."

"This doesn't have to be the end." Five suddenly said. They turned to see him staring at them with an almost manic expression in his eye. "We can go back in time."

"What?" Luther asked with a hint of confusion.

"I can use my power, but this time, I can take you with me."

"Can you even do that?"

"I don't know." Five shrugged. "It's either that, or we stay here and burn."

"Well," Diego sighed, "What's the worst that could happen?"

"You're looking at it." Five said. "A fifty-eight-year-old man in a child's body, so there's that."

"Fuck it, I'm in." Diego said.

"Yeah, okay. I'm in." Klaus nodded. What else was there, honestly?

"I'm in, too." Luther said. "Allison?" She nodded. "How 'bout Ben?"

Klaus glanced over his shoulder and saw Ben smile. "Yeah," He replied. "He's in."

"Great." Five said. "Come on."

Klaus and the others mobilized around their little brother. Each of them grabbed each other's hands, while Luther lifted Vanya. He was ready to time travel for the first time until he saw that something was wrong.

"Wait… wha-" Klaus looked around frantically and noticed that, within the circle, they were missing someone. He spun around to see Andy standing behind them with her hands in her pockets, watching them with a sad expression. "Andy, come on."

He let go of Diego's hand and offered it to her, but Andy remained still. She smiled heavily, tears growing in her eyes.

"Nah," She said, still bearing the smile, but there was no joy in it. "But good luck, okay?" When she blinked, tears trickled down her cheeks. "I know you'll do great."

"Andy, seriously." He snapped. "Take my hand. Let's go!"

The blue cloud pulsed above them and Klaus knew that they had seconds at best. Andy shook her head and took a step back. A cold pit grew in Klaus's stomach. He was desperate for her to grab his hand. He didn't want to leave her behind, not when he knew she'd die if he did.

And then she said something that broke his heart.

"I'm not part of the family, remember?"

His brows pulled together so tightly that it hurt. His mouth hung slack. So many things wanted to leave his mouth, but he couldn't focus on one long enough to manage.

"For Christ's sake." Diego snapped angrily.

He reached back and grabbed her arm before she could protest, yanking her into the circle. Klaus instantly clamped his hand around hers and held it tightly so she couldn't escape.

"You're a part of this family, okay?" Diego told her sternly.

She seemed shocked by the inclusion, but none of them had time to dwell. The blue 'thing' that Five had created surrounded them. Electricity pulsed, the air was too thick to even breathe, and a portal began to tear open in the middle of the sky above their head.

"It's working!" Luther shouted loudly just to be heard over the chaos.

"Hold on!" Five said. "This could get messy!"

Klaus looked around at his siblings, tearing his eyes from the gaping hole in Time above them. Everyone except Five was different. He was staring at faces he hadn't seen in over a decade, the faces of the kids they used to be.

And then… they were gone.
