Chapter 79: It's All Coming Together

Hell was a real place. Jeannine realized it as a swirling portal summoned by the blonde woman opened up to it. They had fought for the last few hours, jumping across the building tops of Paris. This was harder than it seemed; her sword feared this woman's sword. The Fleur du Mal had always craved battle for the chance to draw blood, but even coming close to the glowing sword caused it pain and dread. It didn't matter that whoever this woman was, she opened the portal around Jeannine, trying to push her into them.

Jeannine had one advantage: she was faster; this girl wasn't slow, but the armor on her shoulder slowed her a bit.

"Come on," The blonde teased, "Show me something impressive."

Jeannine managed to avoid this latest swirling portal and landed on the roof.

"Want to see something impressive?" Guillotine growled, "I'll show you something impressive."

Guillotine steadied herself as Magik raced towards her, so she stabbed the sword onto the roof and let it glow. Misty red energy formed, taking the forms of her ancestors, and slammed into the young girl. Magik slashed the wave weakening it, but not enough; it hit her back, nearly throwing her off the roof.

"Not bad," Magik smirked as she let her armor vanish, "You might be useful after all."

"Useful?" Guillotine held her sword, ready to continue the fight. "Useful for what?"

Illyana swaggered closer to her, "To save reality if you believe it,"

The French woman stared, unsure if this teenager was lying.

"The Avengers are recruiting, and your name popped up. And you passed my little audition,"

0000

"Why did you do it?"

Touma's eyes opened up. He looked at the ceiling, and for once in a long time, he wasn't waking up in the usual hospital bed. He looked to see the fox girl in a bed just across from him.

"Why did you take a bullet for me?" Ami asked him,

"I don't know. I just saw the bullet going towards you and acted."

Ami questioned this; there was little motivation behind it. He spoke as casually as it was to offer someone some gum.

"Just acted? The others told me you thought you were hunting a monster."

"I don't know. You looked scared. I don't think I've ever seen a monster be scared."

Ami wasn't sure about what to say about that.

"Are you going to stay?" Touma asked her. "We were looking for help and-"

"I have been invited to stay. There isn't anything waiting for me at home."

"Did the dusting-?"

"Sort of, my family has been gone for a long time. My mother and I hid our true forms for years to live in peace. Until one day, samjokgu, three-legged dogs, hunted down and killed my mother. I managed to escape and hide and continue to go to school until a friend of mine was in danger. That alerted the National Intelligence Service to discover me. A hero in my country Gun-R found me and protected me, inspired me to be a hero, and I've been training. We were working with the government to make it official when it all happened. Gun-R was among those who vanished. I had no contacts or no one to reach to. That's when those men arrived and hunted me down. Anyone who got close or tried to help me got hurt, so I had to hide."

"I'm sorry." It was all Touma could say.

"They told me I should be free to walk around. Have they told you anything?"

"No, I-"

Martha and Tony started to walk over. Martha smiled, "Ami, we need a moment with Touma. Can you give us a minute?"

Ami nodded, got up, and walked out of the room.

Touma wasn't sure what to make of this.

"You are lucky they have a regeneration cradle here that helped deal with the damage to your skull. It could have been a lot worse."

Tony added, "We ran the basic test for these things. And-"

"We noticed the odd brain damage; I say odd because I can barely understand it. I'd say you got at least two separate cases of cranial trauma."

"Two?" Touma winced, "I knew about one."

Martha just stared dumbfounded. Tony rubbed his temples, trying to digest the whole situation. Touma explained that he had his entire memory wiped out just under a year ago because of a magical attack he couldn't avoid. Touma's brain was fine, but he had no memories from before then. The young man had kept that all hidden from everyone in his life until fairly recently. If he had other damage to his mind was something he genuinely didn't know about.

Martha mentally went over options, and she wondered if the Doctor could do anything. Martha doubted it; even the Doctor couldn't bring back what was gone.

Touma watched as the two adults seemed very worried.

"Are you going to send me back because -?"

Tony sighed, "No, your hand is potentially a huge key in stopping Thanos. But when this is done, me and the other Avengers might be paying a visit to your world."

Tony was reckless, but even he wouldn't have just tried to live with amnesia, not even telling his friends or family. How did this just happen without anyone noticing? It looked like they had been doing a dubious experiment on millions of kids, the corrupt secret government in the city, and them just trying to kill him fueled him. He'd figure out who was behind the scenes and have some words for them.

Tony gave another sigh, "Martha here says you're physically fine. Just take some time and rest."

Tony pulled the curtain around Touma and started to walk away.

Marth quickly followed, "I thought we would tell him."

"If we can get the stones, we undo this. The kid has put more than anyone, much less a kid, should have to carry he doesn't need to know. We win. We fix everything. We fail. It doesn't make a difference."

0000

A few hours earlier...

CPU and Darkhelm sat by the controls; they had been sending Missy's device into portals to other worlds so people could stay in touch with people back home. They were also helping assure that they could get armies when needed. Aang had already talked to Zuko, who was preparing the Fire nation army. The Justice League was ready and waiting. The Crystal Gem had talked to Lars and the Off Colors to find out someone had conquered Homeworld, the Diamonds were licking their wounds at Beach City with the gems that escaped. They would try to go back later, but they would need to rest; their ships weren't in a great state.

Though that was a surprise, none of them were ready to find what happened in Touma's world.

The espers weren't that interested in checking up back home, Sogiita was just getting ready for the fight, and the others knew that the Darkside would jump at them the second they returned. Even their high status would not protect them after suddenly becoming sliders. But Kanzaki and Itsuwa had friends and family they wanted to check in on hope to get help from.

"They're gone," Kanzaki muttered.

The two bots showed a screen, and there was nothing. They scanned the whole world and found no signs of life. They could only guess what happened; they were picking up countless forms of radiation worldwide. It had roasted the planet and left the air burning.

Had war broken out after they left?

The two magicians held on to one another, they were the closest thing they had to family now. Everyone they knew was gone now.

There were no words to say. What could one say after finding out their world was dead?

They began to weep at the loss.

0000

The group was tired. After all, they had just been dragged out of a universe by Haruna. Just in case, Tsubaki had turned her long black ponytail into a chain that the group used to tie Haruna. After her last stunt, the group wasn't exactly tripping over their trust for her.

Nene was half asleep, leaning onto Kami as she nibbled on a donut. Excalibur hummed to himself as the others heard what Steve and Bruce explained what happened and what they were hoping to do.

The Avengers were at a loss for once. These unexpected guests meant that they had come from a world that Scout hadn't checked in on. Scout had to trace them and look them up on their worlds. The meisters were easy enough, even with the extra work of tracking them through another world. Scout found records and a few new stories.

Scout didn't find much on the vampire or Nene, just some idol stuff of Sarasvati's day job and that Nene did doujinshi. And that was it, which according to Scout, was impressive enough; he should have been able to track their whole lives given time but couldn't. Though scans did confirm they weren't human.

Though as troublesome as Haruna was, what she and Eruka managed to do with the orb, was impressive by itself. Their continuing efforts to improve the HUB could use those skills. The meisters and weapons, besides being more fighters, also had abilities tied with souls, which at the moment they had no idea how to counter that stone, so they deemed high value too.

And it looked like Nene had an ability similar to Touma's and was able to negate effects, so big-time help all around.

They finished explaining the whole situation with Thanos.

"Aliens are real?!" Liz yelled out.

Bruce shrugged, "Yeah, aliens, we got a ghost kid, a couple of time travelers, a dragon, and cyborgs." Bruce chuckled to himself, "these are weird times,"

Kid placed a reassuring hand on Liz's, hearing that there was a ghost around here wasn't helping her.

"I mean, I guess I shouldn't be surprised after the big green guy or the vampires from another universe."

Seraphim merely glanced over, "Says the girl who can turn into a gun with a grim reaper as a partner."

Liz glared at Seraphim with Kid trying to pull her back before she started a fight.

Sarasvati and Kid moved up, trying to take control of the situation and their groups.

"Let me get this clear," Sarasvati spoke, her usual cold tone never wavering, "You want us to help kill this alien monster which decimated our worlds."

"I don't think we phrased it like that," Bruce started, "but essentially yes."

"Your various skills could be invaluable," Steve told them. "I'm not going to lie, this will be dangerous. Probably more dangerous than anything else you've ever done before."

"Okay," Nene smacked her mouth, trying to wake up. "Sounds like it's something, we didn't have nothing, plus the short one-"

"I'm not short!" Haruna yelled out.

"Will probably keep trying to come here, so why not just join her. Plus, it's not like any of us have any other shot trying to get everyone back."

"That's good," Bruce paused, "We should probably explain one more thing we just discovered."

Steve had tried to come up with some gentle way to explain reality itself was falling apart. He could only hope that Bruce had some idea.

"Yeah, so the snap also broke reality, and everything will end in a few weeks."

Bruce decided to rip the bandage.

"WHAT?!"

SAIKI HOUSEHOLD

HIDARI WAKIBARA, JAPAN

Mikoto Aiura watched as the brothers worked on a machine that the eldest brother hoped would get some answers. She didn't know if it worked. Neither Kusano nor her abilities had brought them a single solution.

Aiura felt something was off with the day, that something was about to change.

Aiura was looking at her crystal ball when she noticed the machine the brothers were working on catch a glint of light. The machine started to beep as a swirling mess of light tore through space and opened up.

A young woman with a tan and short, neat blonde hair walked out. She wore a red and white dress with a fluffy skirt. She greeted them with a warm and practiced smile.

"Hello," She told them with an unwavering smile like this was perfectly normal. "My name is Elodie and-"

"I guess I was due to running into a slider, and a magic girl didn't think it would happen at the same time," Saiki said in their mind with his telepathy.

Elodie crossed her arms and, with a huff, said, "Well, that's what I've always disliked about psychics. Probing in people's heads and invading their privacy, at least you could have let me finish my introduction."

Saiki sighed when even he had to admit that was a little rude. Not that it was intentional, just a knee-jerk reaction.

"Well, I am forgiving. If you'd hear me out, I would be happy to call us even." Elodie began to explain the situation, and Saiki reading her mind, verified that she was telling the truth.

Kusuke was inherently interested in the stones and the technology that made multiverse travel possible. Aiura adored Elodie's outfit and was interested in the whole magical girl aspect.

Elodie was more than happy to have both of them. Kusuo Saiki, on the other hand, had just wanted a peaceful life and certainly didn't want to get himself dragged into some weird mess.

Aiura tutted, "Saiki, I know you want an easy, peaceful life. And, yeah, I can get that. But right now, it isn't an option; half of everyone is gone. You have the power, and you have powers that can help change that." She took his hands into hers "Saiki, I know you well enough to know that you are a good person under all the attitude, and you'll try to help people who need it. That's something I love about you. I don't know, but I feel I have to go, so I'll go even if you won't."

EARTH M-199999

NEW YORK CITY, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

AVENGER'S COMPOUND

Tony and the rest of the Avengers were ready in the expanded conference room; it was more to say it was a small auditorium.

Tony had admitted those two robots were good at building and working with space. While this was an open meeting, not everyone showed up, and this was just something Alexis and some others had worked on. There were maybe three dozen people there curious about their secret project. They had invited the scientist, magic users, and even Shuri, who was telecommuting. They had called this meeting because this project would need a lot more help and resources.

After a few minutes, Alexis, Missy, Venomous, Charmcaster, Shrinking Violet, and Doctor K came walking onto the front; they were all wearing various colored dark shirts with the words,

"Goth Squad."

"You actually got shirts made?" Tony slapped his forehead. He had never regretted a random joke as much as this. Well, that BARF name joke caused one of his scientists to flip out, and he had to fire him.

Alexis held out a finger; he had a dark blue shirt. "Again, I'd like to point out I'm not a goth. I just have a tendency for dark-colored clothing, and I'm just a bit gloomy lately."

"And maybe a tad depressed," Doctor K suggested, she was wearing her new black shirt under her lab coat, "Possibly some untreated PTSD, and you might be repressing an ongoing mental breakdown."

"Yeah, that sounds about right," Alexis said it so casually that they almost ignored the diagnosis.

Tony glanced over to Zatanna, who shared a knowing look.

Missy clapped her hands, "Now onto the presentation," She motioned to Alexis to continue. She wore a purple shirt over her usual outfit.

"Yes, okay, yeah, so I was thinking up something to help in the fight against Thanos. I was looking at our new recruits and powers. I looked into Ilana's suit and then into the Power Ranger's stuff." He motioned to his little robots, who projected images of the Power Ranger's fights. "There are several power rangers, each with enhanced abilities, and my idea is to replicate that to an extent. To give everyone added strength, endurance, and just make everyone more durable."

Steve was the first to ask, "You want to give people superpowers?"

Doctor K explained, "No, that would likely cause more problems than solve. The Morphic Grid, which powers the rangers, is varied. Each team connects to it in different ways. Should we try to tap into the grid for everyone present suddenly in the same area, we'd likely over-exert the local Morphin Grid."

"That's when I matched my notes on my shapeshifting, and I realized something about the Morphing Grid,"

Doctor K elaborated, "The Morphin Grid extends throughout the whole multiverse, including this universe. It does seem less used in this reality, though one Red Action does seem to tap into it in her universe."

"Now this is what is super important, this Morphin grid, or bio-field, or morphic field, whatever you want to call it extends through universes but is interconnected through all life. It's probably why so many of them have power based on animals, and they do seem to have totemic properties. It's all connected to life and everything."

"That's when Alexis suggested another method. Instead of connecting into the wider Morphin Grid, we tap through the small portion of the grid to which we are already connected. It will certainly be less effective, but it should be enough for our purposes without overstressing the grid."

Missy smiled, "That's when they came to me. Those colorful suits serve a purpose. They not only provide style and some protection, but they also help properly channel the energy from this grid. We'll have to make every person their own suits to do it properly. Modifying the TDS should be a proper stand-in for the morphers."

Venomous added, wearing a dark purple shirt under his coat, "And each will have to be made precisely to the user, not only will they have to adjust to their body types and their powers. From what I've seen, the power rangers adjust naturally but using this weaker signal will require us to make the adjustment to make it safe."

"It won't be easy," Shrinking Violet looked over her notes. Her dark green shirt sat on her usual outfit. "We will need personal power sources and adjustable material. Which thanks to Stark, Alexis, and Shuri's tech, will be the easy part,"

"And the good thing about it is we can set up some universal designs." Charmcaster, in her dark purple-pink shirt, began, "With the right material, we can not only enhance physical traits but add protection from magic and other forms of protection. My research of Gwen's body-"

"Wait, what?" Gwen yelled at that,

"Your glowing energy form, when we were against each other, I was looking for ways to counter that. Remember when I stole your mana to give myself a boost? The same principle, with the right material, we can use these suits to boost any magic we use and increase our stamina."

Alexis added, "With some adjustments, adding some personal shields from the Guardians with better power sources, we can increase our chance of survival. FRIDAY, what does the number say?"

FRIDAY's voice rang out, "Our early estimates suggest it increases individuals' survival rates by 500 to 800%."

"They weren't that high to start," Venomous explained.

"Still, yeah, much better odds. The hardest part will be adjusting and making custom suits for everyone to suit their abilities."

Doctor K tapped her chin. "Usually, the Grid instinctually gives those connected to it inherent knowledge of their new abilities, so there shouldn't be much of a learning curve, some getting used to it and basic training should solve that."

Shrinking Violet spoke up, "The basic design would be complicated, but we can adjust it easily to add new protections if done properly."

"Probably add some weapons too," Venomous suggested, "At least some lasers or something."

"Will have to depend on the person," Missy told him, "Some people would have trouble adjusting to new fighting styles, and we don't have time to train them with new fighting techniques or weapons properly. Same reason we didn't go with those big chunky metal suits for everyone."

As the group devolved into a group discussion, the others stared at the TDS with their plans.

"The power we'd need," Tony started to do the math, "it's more than any arc reactor I can make."

Sam Carter spoke up, "I think I have an idea. In my universe, we have something called

Naquadah, and we use it as a power source. If we make it using Naquadah as its core, we might be able to produce the right power levels."

Shuri suggested, "Could work if the number is correct, definitely a vibranium casing around the core."

Udonna mused, "If we can copy some of the properties from the mystic rangers,"

The Mystic Mother rubbed her temples, "It could help increase magical power,"

Wakeman turned to Sheldon, "We might be able to enhance using some of the technology we used for XJ-9."

SPIRITS AND SUCH CONSULTATION OFFICE

SEASONING CITY

This was not how Reigen was expecting his day to go. He had given up on trying to fix the T.V. and just pulled the plug on it.

He was meeting with Tsuchiya and Sakurai, and Ritsu to just check upon them. Serizawa and Tome were also there, but they mainly lived there at this point. Dimple was hovering close by, feeling as powerless as the rest of them, but did seem to pick up on something a moment before the others.

A tear, in reality, opened up before them, and out stepped out a young woman with short black hair in a suit and a big man in a suit with mutton chops. The man looked like an ape who could tear them apart without a second thought.

"Hello, My name is Klaus, and this is my associate Chain. I am sorry for just barging in," He said very politely.

"Uh, hello," Reigen tried to seem confident.

Reigen thought he was pretty good at reading people, it was just something that came with his work, but he had no clue what was happening.

"Though I would love nothing more than to meet a psychic of such esteem as you under a better situation but-"

Chain put her hand on Klaus's side, "Look, we don't get much time. Everything is ending, and we do mean everything. The whole thing with people turning into dust was just the start. We need telepaths, but at this point, the Doctor said any psychic would help."

"Doctor? Doctor who?" Tome asked, trying to pick at what they were saying.

"Some alien lady," Chain rolled her eyes, "Look, I don't get it myself-"

Tome grabbed her suit jacket, eager to hear more of the alien. She'd met some before, but she would like to know more.

"Look, kid," Chain tried to pull her off, "We don't have time. We've been trying to contact you when Scout-"

Klaus interrupted," I'll try to make this simple. We believe you could assist us in finding a way to undo the tragedy that struck our worlds."

Before Klaus could continue, Reigen picked up on it, "Worlds? What are you talking about?"

"It's a lot to explain."

The espers were all studying the pair, trying to see if they were on the up and up. The espers were starting to bombard them with questions. Dimple floated nearby, but his attention was drawn to the window.

The devices these two strangers wore started to beep wildly.

"Oh, no," Klaus mumbled.

The ground started to shake, and off at a distance, screams could be heard. White light was seen in the distance.

"We barely found out in time to come here," Klaus said, his voice quiet and weak.

"The dusting-"Chain added, "it broke things, broke worlds, and broke this world."

White rushed forwards as if the world was being erased. The espers were feeling something strange. Even if they weren't telepaths, they could feel something or, in this case, the lack of something. They could sense millions of people screaming out in terror and then were silenced.

"Look!" Chain yelled out. "You don't trust us! Fine! I wouldn't trust us either! But we are your only chance out of this! Now go!"

Chain didn't wait for another second to wait before pushing Klaus through the portal. As the world seemingly came apart around them, they stared dumbfounded at the emptiness.

Reigen grabbed Tome and Ritsu and pushed them through the portal. The other espers were still stunned.

Reigen yelled, "Go! Now!"

They did as they were told until Dimple and Reigen were the only ones left.

"Are you sure about this?" Dimple asked him.

"No," Reigen admitted watching the white wall move closer to them.

Dimple rushed into the portal with Reigen quickly behind them.

They found themselves tumbling out of a gate in the Avenger's compound, the portal flickering out behind them. There were people there making sure everyone was alright.

Klaus looked a short distance away, his expression sorrowful with the knowledge they couldn't save others.

AVENGER'S COMPOUND

John Constantine wanted a smoke, but it was probably not a good idea to smoke around the weird orbs or about five billion dollars of equipment.

Gwen had gathered him and Tony and told them of the vision that the orb had given them. Tony's equipment scanned the orbs they had collected as John began a spell.

"More future stuff," Tony mumbled,

"Yeah," Constantine grit, "This Infinity knows the future. He's practically spitting it in our face naming himself after the stones."

Tony glanced over Gwen, "Anything else? Did he tell you anything?"

Gwen sighed, "Just that you two specifically would get the answers to your questions."

"Vague," Constantine pointed out, "proper vague."

"And nothing else?"

Gwen hesitated, "He told me to stop running away from Hope."

Tony looked over, "The concept or-?"

"The girl with the silver hair," John pointed out.

Gwen looked away, and the two men shared a look.

The machine binged before they could reach, and John's spell finished.

"FRIDAY?"

The computerized voice rang out, "Well, we have a lot of data to go over, Boss. I'll leave it to you to make heads or tails of it. It seems to have some sort of psionic projector. Mostly how it was able to drop a message in Miss Tennyson's mind."

John smacked his lips, "That's some bizarre magic, closest thing I've seen to it is the magic the bloke in the blue coat twirls about."

"I guess that makes sense," Tony sighed, "His whole magic-tech thing was developed while studying this thing."

"Something else happened, the girl with the saw -her magic is feisty. It's perilous to mix magic, not undoable, but her magic, frog witch, and whatever powers are behind this orb had an effect. It reminds me of our friendly little Scout."

"You two have ideas," Gwen realized.

"A couple," Tony studied the orb.

SILPH CO. JOHTO HQ

CELESTE CITY, JOHTO REGION

Silph Co. was usually a lively building, but it had closed down with everything happening. So someone thought they could hide there and catch their breath as they tried to decide what to do.

It was also being chased. It didn't like being chased.

It wasn't sure who could be after it. After all, very few know it existed. Computers around it flickered to life, and it waved its hand, causing them all to explode. It didn't know what was causing it, maybe a Rotom. It didn't matter.

As it went deeper into the building, it sensed something was wrong. It moved closer to the class window allowing the moonlight to frame its silhouette.

It was a tall figure standing on hind legs, a gray furred cat-like figure with a purple tail. It had dark, intense eyes scanning the area. Mewtwo's eyes glowed blue for a second.

"I know you're there," Mewtwo's voice echoed in the minds of all those close by.

Frightwig and Rojo stepped out of the shadows.

"We were trying to just talk to you," Frightwig tried to smile innocently.

"We did send someone to talk to you," Rojo said, more annoyed. Her helmet was getting more words from Scout. "He's annoyed."

"You're insane," Mewtwo told them, "Your thoughts don't make any sense."

Rojo glanced over to Frightwig, "He's talking about you."

Frightwig rolled her eyes. "Look, I don't know what you're getting from our head, but-"

"Parallel worlds, heroes, aliens, stones. The vanishing must strain your minds."

"Come on, if you just come with us, we can show you," Rojo told Mewtwo.

Mewtwo's eyes glowed, and a blue aura surrounded them, locking their bodies in place.

He stepped closer to them, "I will not go where the whim of a madwoman led me."

He raised his three-fingered hand and let a ball of psychic energy form, "Take this as your one warning."

Greenlight illuminated the window behind him.

Mewtwo turned around to see a white-haired boy hovering outside the window.

Danny smiled as he let a ball of ecto-plasma form in his hand. "How about you put that away and we just-"

Danny didn't finish the sentence as energy blasted out the window hurling him back.

Mewtwo flew behind him, and both found themselves in mid-air as Danny rightened himself.

"Curious," Mewtwo echoed, "I had heard rumors of humans with psychic abilities. I have never seen one myself."

Danny smirked, "Not psychic, I'm a ghost. Scout told us your weak against them."

Danny fired a blast back at the Pokemon, Mewtwo tried to raise a shield around it, but it shattered against the blast.

Stunned, Mewtwo prepared an attack but paused as Frightwig's hair wrapped around him, pulling him back into the building. When he was hit, he lost concentration and let them loose.

Rojo prepared a blast from her gauntlet, "She was right,"

As Mewtwo was pulled into the building, "I am no mere caterpie to entangle."

As its eyes began to glow again, her hair was pulled from its body, both Danny and Rojo fired blasts at it, but their attacks were caught mid-air. Suddenly the three of them were held in the psychic aura as he raised them. Mewtwo exerted pressure on them, causing enough pain to force Danny out of his transformation.

"If I need to make an example of you, I will, or I can leave you to run back to your masters. But you will first tell me who sent you."

The three looked in his direction.

"Behind me? Behind me!"

He turned around to see Black Widow standing behind him smiling, "Hi."

Before he could react, one of her stingers hit Mewtwo on the chest, stunning him. She quickly placed a small device on his head.

The others were freed at this action.

Rojo snarled, "Why didn't you come out with us?"

"Just cause it said to come out doesn't mean we have to,"

Mewtwo glanced at her, unsure; stealth was her thing. He heard the other sneaking around and scanned for thoughts, and it picked up the two in the building. Mewtwo didn't expect someone flying around outside, so he didn't scan outside but didn't hear her thoughts. Mewtwo found that it wasn't able to project its thoughts. As for Black Widow, her training in the Red Room had taught her to quiet her thoughts. Let the world around flow into her mind and react without thinking. It just happened to let her slip past a psychic.

Black Widow explained, "Yeah, so I take it that it works. That's a prototype to fight back against psychics, and the Doctor wasn't sure it would be successful."

Danny blinked, "You didn't know it would work."

Black Widow told him, "I was trying just to talk. I was hoping to avoid the fight. I told you to stay outside in case something like this happened. I brought the device only when Scout found out the rumors that said it could be dangerous."

Mewtwo glared.

Natasha explained, "What you saw in their minds is real. Everything is in danger, and you could help stop it. Look, I'm going to remove the device, but before you attack us, read my mind and see that I'm telling you the truth."

The others motioned to stop her from removing the device, but Natasha acted too quickly. The instant she did, Mewtwo's eyes glowed.

Mewtwo scanned her mind, digging deep, and saw that there was no madness or deception. Just the fear and the chaos of what happened and would come to pass and the hope that they could prevent it.

Mewtwo rose to his feet, "Very well, I will join you."

Natasha smiled and used the TDS to open a portal. She motioned for the others to walk, which they did without hesitation.

Mewtwo paused and looked at the portal.

"Don't worry, it feels weird, but-"

"You know what I've done- what I tried to do?"

"Yeah, Scout had some trouble tracking your past. He found some corrupted data on an old computer owned by an organization called Team Rocket and pieced some from gaps."

"Then why did you trust me not to destroy you and remove the device?"

"The look in your eyes, I don't know about who you were but looking in your eyes, you look like someone who isn't proud of the red in your ledger. I might think I was being sentimental, but Scout also found stories about rumors about someone like you saving people in the dead of night."

She entered the portal, and Mewtwo followed.

0000

As they stepped out into the compound, Missy greeted them

"Hello, Oh, look at you. A new species and a genetic concoction to boot. Natasha, you do know how to spoil a girl."

Natasha sighed, "Forgive Missy. Her manners are almost non-existent."

"Poyo!"

Kirby, who was with Missy, rushed over and hugged Mewtwo's leg.

Missy raised an eyebrow, "Have you two met?"

Mewtwo looked confused, "No. Is that a Jigglypuff?"

Lori found herself in what looked to be some sort of converted jet, and it had a robotics lab. A pale teenager with red hair and too much eyeliner was running around.

Elisa nearby watched him work, "Jack, are you going to be ready in time?"

The teenager in the black coat pulled up his goggles, "You're the precog, shouldn't you know?"

Elisa's smile dropped, and she glared at him.

Jack held out his hands, "Sorry, sorry. Look, what you're asking for is hard, even for an evil boy genius like me. If you've got the time right, I should be able to do it." He looked around,

"Jack-bot! Bring me the ball!"

A bronze hovering robot brought over an orb.

Jack snorted, "I can't believe I thought this was ashen gong wu." Jack played with the orb for a second.

Lori glanced at him, "What?"

"Magic doo-dads from my universe. When the whole Split happened, I picked up on some strange reading, and I thought this might have been one, maybe even the one that caused this whole mess. Pfft! It wasn't, but I proved the multiverse theory. Kinda worth losing my folks and those Xiaolin losers." Jack marveled at the orb. "Now this! I don't know if this is magic or technology, but this thing is a piece of beauty. Real artistry."

A gurgly voice called out, "At least Spicer, you can appreciate beauty."

A brain-like alien with pseudopods came out of the ship ridding in the gut of a bald man android in a red speedo.

"It's the only things that could make my precious Technodrome-"

"Techno-lame!" Jack yelled out. "That piece of Garbage barely broke through the dimensional barriers. That thing broke apart on impact. It's amazing you survived when your ship fell into a crack."

"Do not besmirch my technodrome! What we are working with is only available because we scavenged from its wreck."

Lori was trying to block out their bickering. From what she had gathered was that these two came from alternate worlds. Krang already had dimensional tech, and after the snap, he jumped at the wrong time and tumbled into this world.

"Boys!" A tall thin green alien with white hair got off the ship. "Shut up!" She wore a long slitted skirt, a black shirt with a bleeding heart, and a helmet with yellow horns. "While you two were bickering like an old married couple, I was getting work done."

A robot that seemed to be made out of lava crawled behind her, carrying a device.

She kicked it in the side, "Go plug it in."

That was Dominator, another alien who said she stole something from a hat she used to end up in here.

The only thing that Elisa found them all and brought them together; all Lori knew was that they were being motivated by Elisa to work.

Krang barked out, "Get ready!"

Jack grumbled as they put the last few pieces together in a machine.

"If your science guy is as smart as you say," Jack snarled at Elisa, "why didn't you have him do it?"

Elisa just smiled, "He is working on other plans. Now the three of you prove your intelligence. Will this work?"

"Yeah, sure," Jack told her. "We got in before things got worse, this while multiversal mess has changed stuff- this is really hard to explain if you don't have a firm grasp of quantum physics."

Krang took over, "The dimensional barriers around this universe are constantly shifting. It is unstable without stabilizing agents to maintain a proper passage into the universe; you are likely to end up as quantum jetsam at the barrier."

Dominator took over, "And it's gotten worse, less stable and well- splat. Those goody-goodies aren't making travel here any easier as they are directing things to their H.Q. I'm so glad I got here before they set it up. I'd hate to have to deal with those lame-os."

Jack hovered above them with his backpack's propellers, "Yeah, but thanks to this baby and our fancy tech, we can create a bubble to negate the field they are emitting. If we can be where someone will pop up, we can stop them from being re-directed."

Elisa smiled, "Well, you have two minutes before they arrive."

Dominator shrugged, "Well, if we miss the window, someone else will show up. People are flocking following the same energy signature or just falling towards the sink this universe is turning into."

They finished the machine and activated it.

Dominator only saying, "Well, if your so-called sight is-"

A rectangular gold door formed and shot out a robot-like form. "Robot!"

She formed her arms into blades slashing forward. Jack jumped out of the way, just missing the attack though his Jack-bot wasn't so lucky. Jack screeched like a little girl at the close attack.

Some of Elisa's men fired upon the newcomer but didn't make much headway.

Dominator ordered her robots, "Get her!"

The robots she sent out charged forwards, but as the attacker channeled electricity to her arms, quickly blasting them. Electricity charged around them, and their device began to crash.

"My suit!" Krang yelled out as his suit shut off.

"My armor." Dominator tapped on her helmet.

"She overloaded our circuit breakers!" Jack yelled out.

"EZEERF" Lori had stolen Zattana's powers and froze the attacker in place.

Elisa walked up to the attacker, "Hello… Miss… let's take Jack's suggestion and call you Circuit Breaker."

Even frozen in place, they could tell that she struggled to charge at Elisa.

"That won't do. Now, you are far from home and with no one to help you." Elisa, look at her, her eyes almost glazed over as if looking at something no one else could see. "You want revenge on those robots that hurt you. That destroyed your life. You want revenge on Sari Sumdac. Well, I'll be more than happy to help with that. If I was to wager she's with those we must defeat. They will defend her if you try to attack. Let's help each other. Help us gather some help, and we will help you kill her."

Alarms blared for Circuit Breaker as she sensed strange energy from Elisa, the plant life around her started to die. Circuit breaker didn't care all she wanted was her revenge.

"Yes."

"Splendid, Lori let her go. We have work to do, now that the machine is working you need to be ready. We are off to capture a dragon."

EARTH M-199999

NEW YORK CITY, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

AVENGER'S COMPOUND

Alexis was working with a side project getting help from Scott Lang. A small marble lay in the middle of a half-formed machine.

Scott remarked, "Yeah, I think the Pym particle might help. Maybe, Hank would know for sure. "

"Well, hopefully, it will work. I think just the smallest amount should work."

"Good, I'm running out, and without Hank, I can't get more."

"Maybe we can help you. We got enough brainpower in the building. I'm not sure what we can't make."

"Yeah, I noticed. I saw your ghost trap. Nice design. I guess you like that movie too."

Alexis blinked, "I guess I like the movie well enough. I don't know anyone who doesn't, and the second one isn't as bad as people say it is."

"It's just so wild that we all got the same movie."

Alexis looked at him, tilting his head in thought as if deciding to tell him a secret. "It's not a movie."

"It's not? It's a T.V. show on your Earth or…?"

Alexis fumbled on his TDS and typed up a message requesting an immediate response. Scott looked over his device as the message popped up: Where do you know the Ghostbusters from?

Scott Lang asked, "What are you doing?"

"As Beatrice used to say: being way too extra and showy." He was setting up a holographic screen.

Soon between them, holograms showing people answering the question began to pop up.

Lia Nelson asked, "Uh, the movie? It's a classic."

K.K. popped up on another screen, "Yeah, I know a guy who loves that movie so much he dresses like one every day."

Suki showed up on another screen, "There was this play a few years back… a crazy troupe of actors … I heard it was good, but I never saw it. About benders who were fighting against a mad spirit."

"It's a book." Noelle objected to the growing digital crowd. "it was a very popular book with the commoners. I only read it because Vanessa lent me her copy. It was about four strange wizards who captured dark spirits and fought off some sort of demon."

Sam Manson looked on confused, "It was an old video game. It got a few sequels. You got to play as different ghostbusters fighting off ghosts until you got into the big bad to save New York. Pretty sure Mister Fenton got some of his ideas from it."

"Wasn't it an anime?" Genos spoke up. "I think Master has its DVD."

"What?" Scott looked on confused; more people popped up claiming that the Ghostbusters were a cartoon show, comic, live-action series, board game, musical, or any number of things.

Alexis shrugged, "The Ghostbusters are real."

"The Ghostbusters are real!" Scott choked on the words.

"Yup-yup, the whole thing with Gozer was real. Gozer is a real entity… it's a minor Ol- eldritch god, usually singular beings who don't have variants but just travel from world to world. It forged its dimension somewhere outside of normal universes, whispers to would-be followers, and sends its dogs to open away. To destroy worlds, no creating madness, no worship, just death, and destruction. And legends of its endeavors echoed throughout the multiverse. As far as I've ever heard, the Ghostbusters were the only beings ever to turn it back. Stopping one of its Ilk is hard. There are costs, and usually, it takes the efforts of whole worlds to turn even one of the lesser ones back. Yet four schmucks from New York not only beat it and sent it back, survived and just caused some minor damage to a building and left some messy marshmallow fluff. Gozer was hurt and now seems obsessed with trying to destroy that world. Because of those four, Gozer hasn't destroyed a world in years. They did the impossible, and their efforts have resulted in the salvation of untold trillions. Their battle and victory echoed out into all of reality. It echoed the dreams of countless people because of its significance. The idea pops up, and people tell the story in whatever methods they have and terms they can understand."

Scott just looked on in awe, "Wait, can we find the Ghostbusters? I mean"

"Yeah, no, we find one specific group in the multiverse. I know; I already tried."

Ami found herself in a room with two French girls, Alya and Marinette. They were in front of a sizeable strange device called a Fabricator. Ami could recognize it as some sort of Stark tech, she wasn't an expert, but she did spot one of the arc reactors.

Though Ami was distracted by the girl's instance of bringing her along, though she didn't know why but she sensed no hostility.

Though she was distracted by the flying creatures that hovered around them, the small cat-like one seemed content to snack on cheese in Marinette's bag.

Trixx was particularly interested in her, trying to catch her tail.

"Trixx behave" Alya grabbed the small kwami. "Yeah, sorry about him. He can be a bit much,"

Trixx pouted, "It's not often I get to see many other magical foxes."

"Sorry about that," Marinette apologized.

"Why did you bring me here?" Ami finally asked.

The girls shared a look. "Your outfit," Marinette finally answered.

Ami looked at her clothes, some casual clothes she had borrowed. Her outfit had been damaged by constant fights over the few days and could not be repaired. She only had her scarf, which might need some repair work.

Alya finally said, "if you're going to be a superhero, you need some sort of super suit. I know the science guys are working on something, but who knows when that will be ready."

Marinette smiled, "I've been studying design, so I think I can help you make something really good. And with all this tech, I'm sure it will be durable and-"

"I want my scarf," Ami said, "If we could integrate it."

"I think I could do that," Marinette looked it over, "Maybe fix some tears.

"Thank you," Ami told her.

For a brief moment, she remembered Gun-R, who not only saved her but trained her to be a hero but believed she could be. He had given her this scarf, and it felt wrong to toss it away.

Tony wasn't sure about this, but the answer seemed obvious.

"How can I help you, Stark?" Venomous sat across him, leaning back, a playful grin across his face.

Tony thought back to the file he read, Venomous was once a hero, but life and fate had taken him down another path. He glanced to a container that held the glorbs with a fraction of power.

"So, I heard you had powers once."

The smile faded a little, "A lifetime ago,"

"You used to have the power to absorb energy."

"Yeah, if you call that a power."

"And you happened to create a weapon that could remove people's powers."

Venomous let out a tired chuckle, "Yeah, that worked out really well for me… and Greyman."

"Could you do it again?"

That caught the purple scientist by surprise, "You want me to make a weapon to remove powers?"

"We have a super-powered army coming at us. If this can't stop Thanos from using the stone, it can still weaken him and his new foot soldiers."

Venomous mused on the idea, it could weaken Thanos, and the potential use against the wider army couldn't be ignored.

"Well, I'd love to, but I lost all my research on it years ago. I spent most of the time trying to regain power. I could start over, but I'm not sure I can get it done in time."

"What if I had the work done." Foxtail walked in a bit down. "POINT used the weapon that took Greymnan's power and developed lasers that could de-power people."

"And your willing to give me this data?" Venomous couldn't help but smirk.

Tony had discussed this with Foxtail, and they both saw the potential for something like this to be misused. While there was the tech that could potentially be used for this, Thanos was not something they could face with half-measures.

Venomous smiled, "Well, I better get to work."

John Constantine walked over to the lab where the tech guys were, and he wasn't a tech guy half the stuff there went well over his head.

"Rapid prototyping won't work," Maddie yelled out, "While we can make the equipment needed, we won't be able to miniaturize it in time."

"Nanotech could work for that premise," Greyman suggested.

"No, we won't be able to forge the sheer amount of nanotech in time either." Sheldon pointed out, "We have people with electromagnetic powers that could easily disrupt it. On that scale, it could shut down armors or cause errors that could spread."

"How about we make everything input them in pockets outside of normal space," Isaac Sumdac offered. "I've been studying that tech with the Autobots. It's feasible."

"Time again," Nora Wakeman pointed out, "isolating pockets of space for everyone would be time-consuming. We might be able to create pockets of space, but that has many complications themselves."

"Hard light projections!" Peridot yelled, "If we can just boost the power, we could potentially make anything quickly and save time and space."

Entrapta tapped her chin, "I like it, but it would burn through a lot of energy. This whole suit idea has a lot of things needed. We are burning through power already. Another power-consuming item could break this whole thing.

Dr. K hummed, "Maybe we should think about simplifying it again. The morphic field can provide some weapons."

"No, we need the diversity," Honey Lemon suggested, "she played with her purse mindlessly, knowing she couldn't replicate it en masse.

"Computing power." Stitch suggested, "Could slim down some issues."

Bruce smiled, "Well, a boost in computing power can help with some of the issues but doesn't solve the main issue."

Sam Carter added, "Well, we can't even start to figure out the power we will be able to produce until the General gets some naquadah over and Shuri can get us the vibranium."

John stared for a moment. He wasn't even sure if they were arguing, they kept shooting down each other's ideas, but they almost seemed happy doing so, like they were enjoying the challenge of coming up with flaws in their plans to make sure they were better.

John shook his head as he spotted Alexis building a portable scanner in a corner. John waved him over, and he came.

"Hey John, I think we need some help. Charmcaster wasn't sure about a thing. What do you know about Nth metal?"

John shrugged, "Space metal, screws with magic."

"Yeah, Shayera offered it up. We think we might be able to install it into suits to help protect from magic attacks we need-"

"No," John told him, "I'm not here for that. I need you to put something together. How much do you know about the soul?"

"Typical weighs 21 grams."

John was surprised by that response.

"Look, I know the basic stuff. Our essence can life on after our physical death, can be huge sources of power, and could be dangerous to mess with. Even with magic stuff, it's not a lot."

John nodded, "Right, but your science magic tech is our best bet then. I need you to find a way to lock onto souls. If we are going to get our mates back and battle against a stone that can manipulate souls, we need to fight fire with fire. 'Cause looking over some new residents, one group seems to have know-how on souls. Enough to fill any gaps you might be missing."

John didn't assume this would be easy, safe, and they were touching into some seriously taboo territory. But if magic and science failed to give John some results maybe a mad scientist with techno-magic might get results.

Author's Notes: Well I don't know what to say. Making progress.

It was sad to hear about William Hurt's passing, I'm said to say we never got him to interact with the Hulk in the MCU again. Its always sad when a prolific actor passes.

Okay, as for this story stuff is coming together. People are starting to make connections.

Yeah, Ghostbusters are secretly heroes across the multiverse because of the first movie.

More worlds keep getting blasted. Well, with this level of disasters the varies after shocks are enough to cause disasters.

So a while ago I did mention it but yeah Mewtwo is here now. This Mewtwo is a variant of the Mewtwo from the smash game thats why Kirby reacted to it. Just this one of from the anime and the other is from the games.

So I think thats it, leave review and tell me what you guys think.

Q&A:

Guest 01:

01: Well peoples plans are coming together how much of that Infinity saw coming will be seen.

02. Well there is an explanation for that just I haven't figured out when to put it naturally.

03. Agreed. I'm not a fan of these these descontruction but to each their own. Maybe some cross over will come.

04. Yeah, if there is a universe I haven't mention it might have just gotten into some disaster. From one of the forces of nature falling apart, some entity entering their universe, or any number of disaster caused from the after math of the snap. Yeah, less fun now that you think of it.

05. I do know how it ends.

Dio: Yeah as One Punch has proven being bald makes you powerful.

Delta Gamer: Soon. They will have an entrance.

InfiniteWars2:You'll see. Also no, Halo isn't something i know about and Starwars I just don't have the drive for it.

ScrSqdr0n: No, I've watched a few episode and I don't have enough to write about it.

TransformersG1SS: Some no some yes. Some I already shown.

Guest: No.
