Thank you Blondie 20000 for you feedback! Aww I'm definitely loving Caleb here and the relationship he has with the kids, especially Dean. I just want to say this next part there Jo and Sam talking and then Dean and Jo.
I know I must sound like I'm beating a dead horse because I know Dean and Jo are pretty mature in some ways and Dean will really be pretty level headed in this part. I'm going to say that's due both of their past history, therapy, Gemma and not living in motel rooms their whole childhood. So I know Dean is OOC to what we've seen in flashbacks and way more in tune to Jo's needs than an average 17 year old boy.
Thank you again and enjoy!
Chapter 28
"You and Dean went on that hunt!" Sam shouted.
"Shhh…Gemma is upset enough...your shouting isn't gonna help any." Jo said as she finished putting her clothes back in her bag.
She had already packed her weapons and books. Gemma had told her the only think she could read were novels that Gemma would decide if they were appropriate. She had okay To Kill a Mockingbird a little while ago.
"Is that why Caleb went to the garage with Dean?"
"Yeah…we're both grounded for a month and that includes no driving Baby for Dean." Jo felt horrible about that she knew how much Dean loved driving that car.
Sam couldn't believe his brother and Jo had snuck out last night to go on a hunt. He looked at Jo and asked, "did you and Dean do it?"
Jo turned scarlet and spun around towards Sam. "God no."
"You mean you snuck out and didn't get the spirit?" He said shocked.
"Oh," Jo laughed . "Yeah we got it."
Sam frowned at the blush still tainting Jo's cheeks. "So what didn't you and Dean do then?" He asked.
Jo ducked her head, "nothing."
"You're lying," Sam said as he studied Jo and noticed a bruise on her collar bone. "You get that on the hunt?" He said pointing to the mark.
"Ummm yeah I did," Jo told him. She wasn't going to admit it was from after the hunt when she and Dean were in the back of the Impala.
Sam narrowed his eyes…he wasn't stupid. He had seen those marks on Dean's neck before and knew exactly what his brother and Jo were doing.
Jo saw the way Sam was looking at her and slapped his arm. "Stop staring," she said as she grabbed a lightweight turtleneck sweater. "Turn around so I can put this on."
Sam shook his head and turned around like Jo ordered so she could change. "So are you Dean's girlfriend now?" He asked.
"All set," she told him as he turned back around.
"So?" He prompted.
Jo shrugged her shoulders. "Don't know. Adrenaline was running pretty high."
Sam snorted, "come on Jo. I see the way Dean looks at you."
Jo's head shot up at what Sam was saying, "how does he look at me?"
Sam sighed, "like you're his favorite pie with ice cream on top that was made just for him."
"Does he really?" She asked suddenly feeling happier than she thought possible considering she was on punishment.
"Yeah he does," Sam admitted sadly.
Jo looked over at her friend, she knew Sam liked her.
She smiled slightly, "hey Sam did I tell you that Camie Robertson asked me if you were going to do science camp this summer. I think she wants you to be her partner."
"Camie? She did that awesome wind turbine project to generate enough energy to run a boom box at the science fair." Sam said in awe.
Jo grinned, she really liked Camie and thought her and Sam would be awesome together. "Ummm…you should call her…see if maybe she wants to get together this week since we can't do anything together outside the house. I bet you two would have fun together."
Sam chewed on his lower lip. He wasn't really comfortable talking with girls…Jo was different…heck him, Dean and Jo had even slept in the same bed over the years but other girls he always got tongue tie around them. He didn't have the same confidence his brother had when it came to the opposite sex. "I don't know..." he murmured.
Jo rolled her eyes, "trust me she'll say yes." She reassured him and she knew she would. Camie has told her several times that she liked Sam and thought he was cute.
"Maybe…"
"No maybe…call her."
"Jo," Gemma called down. "Don't forget to put your weapons in the gun cabinet and bring the key up."
"Yes Ma'am," Jo called up, she eyed Sam when she heard Sammy snort. "What?"
"Like not having a key can keep you out. You're better at picking locks than Dean. I heard Uncle Bobby tell Dad he's not sure if you're training to be a hunter or a cat burglar." He teased.
Jo grinned at that, "well I'm not pushing my luck with Gemma."
"Afraid she go all 'wolfie' on you?" He quipped using the term Dean had come up with when they found out about Gemma being a werewolf.
"Shut up," Jo giggled as she reached down and grabbed her weapon bag and put it in the cabinet and locked it. "I'm going up to unpack….again." Jo said as grabbed her duffel with her clothes.
"I'll meet you up there," Sam said he picked up the clothes he had brought downstairs and went to put them away.
"Okay, see you later," Jo said as she started for the stairs. She was only up a few steps when she looked over her shoulder and said. "Oh and Sam, say hello to Camie for me."

Caleb pulled up in front of the house, "Okay Kiddo, I'll be here same time tomorrow."
"Thanks Caleb," Dean said as he got out of the car. Dean gave the older man a quick wave before turning and heading up the driveway, noticing that the Impala was gone.
He was surprised to see Jo sitting on the old tire swing John put up in the backyard when they moved in. "Hey," he called out.
Jo looked up and smiled at him, "Hey."
"Gemma know you're out here?" He ask as he stepped behind her and began pushing her.
"This is as far as I'm allowed to go." She told him.
"Saw Baby was gone."
"Gemma needed a few things at the store and Sammy wanted to go to the library."
"Colleen?" He asked.
Jo lifted the baby monitor, "fell asleep in her bouncy chair after I gave her a bottle. I was just getting ready to check on her when Caleb dropped you off, sounds like she's starting to wake up."
Dean stopped pushing and studied the swing so Jo could slip out and stand up. She smiled when he reached down and took her hand in his. It had been a couple of years since he did this, and Jo had missed the simple contact.
They walked inside to see Colleen gurgling happily as she kept pulling on the stuff giraffe attached to her chair. Jo laugh, "remember when we met Gemma the first time…when she taught us how to feed the biscuits to the giraffes."
Dean laughed too as he unstrapped his sister and picked her up for a cuddle. "And those boys knocked you down and she showed Dad where the first aid station was."
"I think I was more upset about my dress than my injuries. When your Dad took me in to see the doctor she went and bought me those giraffe capris and top. Man I wore that outfit out."
"I think you scored a stuff giraffe too." Dean said as he sat at the table.
Jo joined him at the table and nodded her head. "I did," she said wistfully. "Do you remember why your Dad and Uncle Bobby took us to the zoo?"
Dean nodded his head somberly and simply said, "Roy."
Jo let out a shaky breath, "I still have nightmares about before I went to live with Uncle Bobby. About living with my mother and Roy. About what he did to me. About what my mother allowed him to do." She whispered.
Dean looked over at Jo. He knew what she was talking about. He would never forget when she told him that Roy had molested her. That not only had he molested Jo but that her mother allowed it…Hell the bitch was gonna sell Jo for money. Suddenly Caleb's comment about letting Jo set the pace made more sense. "Jo?"
She chewed on her lower lip, "Dean last night…when we were kissing it felt really good but at the same time it was scary for me."
"I would never force…" Dean started to say.
"I know," she quickly reassured him. "It's just that I need to tell you something. I started seeing Dr. Tom again…I asked Uncle Bobby after we heard my mother had OD a few months ago."
"Oh," he murmured. They had both starting see Dr. Tom after Dean had killed Roy and gradually they stopped about a year later.
Jo sighed, "God Dean I have so much baggage why would you even be interested in me?"
Dr. Tom had told Jo that he knew back then that she would eventually need more therapy. He had explained that he knew she had buried a lot back when she first saw him and that as those memories surfaced that she would need help dealing with them, but he didn't feel forcing her was the correct thing to do back then.
"What?! I can't believe you would even think that" Dean said as he reached out and grabbed Jo's hand. "The minute I met you…well maybe it was the minute you kicked my ass in air hockey and then kissed me, but I always knew you were the one. I don't care about the other stuff Jo… I…I love you. If you're not ready then I'll wait. I don't care."
"Come on Dean…do you really think you're going to be okay with a G rated relationship after going out with Susie Lincoln and doing a lot more than kissing and holding hands." Jo argued.
Dean sighed, "I wasn't in love with Susie Lincoln."
Jo reached out and stroked Dean's cheek. "Dean…"
"Look if you tell me you don't feel the same way then fine but if you do then I'll talk to Bobby." He told her seriously.
"Dean, it's always been you, but I don't know when I would be ready to be a real girlfriend…" she blushed as she ducked her head.
"Don't worry about that…we've got plenty of time." He reassured her. He looked down at his sister when he heard her begin to cry and rocked her slightly to soothe the infant.
"You should see other girls? I can't expect you wait around for me to be normal.…" she said sadly.
"Jo stop it… I mean it!" He told her as he got up to put Colleen back in her chair before going over and kneeling down in front of Jo and taking her hands in his.
Jo shook her head as she began arguing. "What kinda of girlfriend can I be…Dean you're going to be 18 soon. I'm not stupid… I doubt you're still a virgin. What about when you start hunting…last night proves it excites you…you're gonna want sex and I'm too screwed up…"
"Whoa…slow down," Dean said. He couldn't keep up with her. He knew that over past two years ever since Bobby got hurt that Jo became obsessed with 'what comes next' but Hell even he wasn't so obtuse to realize sex wasn't happening in the near future.
Sure he was a guy and yeah sex took up 99.9 percent of his thoughts but he wasn't expecting Jo and him to jump into the deep end of the pool. "How about we actually start dating before we start worrying about sex. Besides guess what I don't want to be with you just for sex." He told her.
Jo chewed on her lower lip, she knew her Uncle Bobby, Uncle John and Gemma felt they were too young to have these feelings and for years had teased her and Dean that it was just 'puppy love' but she knew it wasn't. She could never explained it when she was little, and she wasn't sure how to even explain it even now, but she always knew her and Dean were meant for each other.
"I want to be with you too," she finally said as she gazed up into his eyes earning a genuine smile as he leaned forward and kissed her gently on the lips.
"I'll talk to Bobby when him and my Dad get back," he murmured before he kissed Jo again knowing that no matter that him and Jo were taking the first steps towards the rest of their lives.
