~ Neji ~
I shake my head to focus myself on this war. I need to be prepared. As Gaara gives out his speech we wait for the sign. We start to follow the leaders running after them. This was only the beginning of the 4th Great Shinobi war
We arrive to the boarder of the Land of Frost. I activate my Byakugan as I see underneath around 20,000 White Zetsus coming from underneath . I notify Kitsuchi and Kurotsuchi they use Earth Release: Opening Earth Rising Excavation to unearth the White Zetsus.
As soon as they come out they start to attack. I start using Gentle Fist Art: One Blow Body. I try to get as many white Zetsus as possible but there are so many. As I'm fighting I feel my chakra going low. Very low, as Kurotsuchi screams "follow those white Zetsus that are escaping"
Half of the shinobi leave while me and Lady Hinata keep fighting. We try to keep up, as much as possible. As the white Zetsus are almost gone from our battlefield I see something coming towards us.
I didn't know exactly what it was. As it comes closer I grasp "father". "Neji, you're all grown up" he said
"Father what are you doing here? Were you reanimated" I asked
"Yes Neji, before I could leave I decided I wanted to see you. You've grown up so much. I met your girlfriend she's a lovely person. I'm happy for you" he said with a smile
"Father I'm glad you met Tenten, she's my future wife and the future mother of my children and your grandchildren. I'm happy to see you again, father you don't know how much I miss you. The clan has finally changed, I have my own faith" I said
"That's good to know. I'm glad you're doing well... my times running out please be careful in this war you are fighting. If anything happens just know I'm going to watch over you with your mother" he replied as he slowly started to fade away
"Yes father, please protect us. Tell mother that I'm doing fine, I'm happy, I take care of myself, I found someone to love me and that I always leave you and mother flowers" I said
"Yes Neji, take care" those were his last words as he faded
I felt emotional, these emotions were rushing thru my body and the memories of both of them came back but I couldn't just think. I was in a war, I had to keep my head cool.
As we finished killing each White Zetsu the night fell. Every once in a while a white Zetsu would appear but it didn't cause any issues . I started to keep watch incase any other threats came along.
Then we were informed about White Zetsus transforming into shinobi. They were attacking other members and this caused a big issue. As I activated my Byakugan to see if I can notice a change in chakra there wasn't anything. Not a single signal.
I think I overused my Byakugan because after a while of keeping watch I fainted.. I saw everything black and start loose sense...
~ Hinata ~
As soon as I see Neji nii-san start to faint I rush to his side, I promised Tenten that I would heal him and take care of him and I didn't want to break that promise. I started to heal him slowly his chakra went up. I took over the watch to make sure he didn't over work himself
~ Neji ~
I woke up, exhausted laying on the ground. I couldn't move much. "What happened" I asked confused
"Well Neji I think you over did it with your Byakugan to the point where you passed out" Kiba said
"What happened? Is Lady Hinata alright? Is Tenten okay?" I asked trying to get up
"Don't get up we are going to take you to the medical unit so you can get checked. They are all fine" Kiba said
"No I'm fine just let me rest here" I said
"No Neji you should go get checked" Kiba said again
"No, just let me rest okay. I'll be fine" I said as I got comfortable again.
"Okay well be leaving shortly to another place so just lay on Akamaru's back he can carry you" Kiba said reassuring me
"Okay thank you" I said as I felt someone carry me and put me on top of Akamaru. I was going to be smelling like a dog but at this point it's the only option I have. I can't stand or walk well.
When I closed my eyes all I saw were my parents standing next to each other smiling. I started to imagine Tenten and I next to them along with Tenten's parents. Our families getting along and having fun. Going to eat dinner, vacations and so much more.
I teared up, please both of you give me and Tenten strength.
"NARUTO IS HERE" someone screamed
I turned my head around and saw him running and attacking people who then turned into white Zetsu's. I was shocked. He then came up to me "Neji here" he said as he fist bumped me and sent me chakra
"Thank you" I replied as I slowly got up "Is Tenten okay?" I asked turning around to see Kiba, Shino and Hinata
"Yes she's fine. She's one strong ass kunoichi she reminds me of my mom. Ino hasn't communicated with any of us that someone had died from our inner circle. She is fine" Kiba reassured me
"But she's not that scary compared to your mom anyways let's keep on fighting this" I said
"We need someone to keep watch" screamed Naruto
"I got it" I said as I started to summon my animal "Ninja Art: Summoning Jutsu" I said as my white owl showed up Akita from the Tundras
"How can I help" she asked
"Scan through this whole area we are at war. Please make sure this area is safe from threats" I said as she flew off from my arm "Yes Neji"
I felt a relief knowing that no one from the Hyuga would have to over use their Byakugan. I need to focus on these issues. I'm hoping Tenten stays safe and takes care of herself
Throughout the night people would switch out to keep watch. Myself, Hinata, Kiba and Shino had 2 tents set up so we could sleep. The 1st night of the 4th great ninja war was done.
