Tonight, Karen and I went to see Zee and her father perform thier magic. It was amazing, we saw her father magically appear and we applauded for him.

"Thank you, thank you. Please, a round of applause for my charming daughter!" He presented Zee in a dazzling pink dress. Karen and I couldn't be more hauppy to see her.

"That's my friend Zee up there!" I shouted.

"And now ladies and gentlemen, we've come to my final trick of the evening." Mr Zatara announced. "A trick so risky, so daring, that the squeamish among you may want to look away." As he spoke, he made a cabinet appear before our very eyes. "Tonight, I will make my lovely assistant disappear."

We all cheered as we saw Zee enter the cabinet. Her dad closed the door on her, and started chanting a spell.

"Spirits beyond. I summon thee here." He waved his wand in the air. "Heed my command. Make this girl disappear." He finished the spell and when he opened the cabinet, Zee was gone! "Behold!"

We were all impressed by that spectacular feat. The audience applauded but not as hard as me.

"WHOOO! ZEE! THAT'S SOME GOOD MAGIC RIGHT THERE, GIRL!" I cheered.

After the show, we just had to see Zee and thank her for the awesome show.

"Did you see that cabinet floating in the air? Mind blowing right?" I said to Karen.

"Totally! That was so amazing." She replied.

We knocked on Zee's door.

"It's open."

We entered her room and see her brushing her hair.

"We just wanted to congratulate you on an awesome show." I said.

"Yeah, it was pretty great..." She replied with less enthusiasm.

"I can't believe this is your life. You're, like, a total star." Karen added.

"Yeah, well..."

"And the fact that you've spent your whole life traveling the whole world entertaining people with your dad, it's so cool."

"Hmm... Indeed."

"You're the biggest celebrity we know!" I said.

"Maybe. But I'm about to be even bigger." Zee then went behind a divider to change.

"What do you mean?" Karen asked.

"You're not going to leave the show are you?" I gasped.

"What? Of course not. That would break poor Daddy's heart. But I am working on my own act." Zee continued as she changed out of her performance outfit. "One day people will know the name, Zee Zatara." She came out sporting her magician outfit. "And that my dears is where you come in."

Karen and I were confused. Smash cut to the two of us in pink tutus, I for one was not happy with this idea.

"Zee, when I agreed to help you with your act. I did not agree to wear this tutu!"

Zee then gave Karen a megaphone and a card. "Whenever your ready."

Karen gulped and proceeded to read what the card said.

"Prepare yourselves ladies and gentlemen, for an experience unlike any other. This is the great and powerful Zee Zatara, Princess of Presti... Prestididge..."

"Prestidigitation." Zee said through her smile.

"Presti... tation."

"Prestidigitation."

Just then we saw the crowd gathering away from us. We went closer to see what the fuss was about and that's when was saw some punk looking dude performing amature magic.

"Wow, Zee, he wears more eye shadow than you." Karen said earning a glare from Zee.

We saw the dude holding a coin, I noticed he had a coin in his other hand.

"All right. Look, look. Right here. Eyes on me. Ready? Heads or tails? "

"Heads." A woman said. Then he threw the coin in his left hand in the air.

"Did you see that? He totally switched hands!" Zee exclaimed.

"Did they not see the other coin?" I added.

The teen then showed the original coin, unflipped, and the woman was impressed. But Zee and I were not.

"Are you kidding me!?" I spoke out. "This guy had a coin behind his back and she didn't see it?"

"I know! So uninspired. What's he going to do next, the detachable thumb trick? The detatchable thumb trick?" Zee replied.

We then saw him doing the detatchable thumb trick and the people were just eating it up.

"You have got to be kidding me!" Zee smacked her forehead.

Next we saw the wannabe magician do a card trick. "All right. Pick a card, any card. Go ahead. Go ahead." A woman pulled an ace of spades and then puts it back in the deck. "Uh-huh. Okay, ready? Watch this. Watch. Ready? Wait for it..." He ripped off his shirt revealing a spade tattooed on his bare chest.

"Is this your card?"

The crowd was going wild for this fake which was the last straw for me.

"That's it!" Zee and I stormed over to that wannabe magician.

"That isn't magic. You're nothing but an overly-leathered, flimflam man." Zee smacked the cards away from him and all of them were aces of spades!

"See?" Zee pointed confidently thinking she exposed the fraud. But then...

"He's turned them all into aces of spades." A boy said. As they clapped I felt my anger boiling.

"You people are crazy!" I shouted. "This guy is no magician! He is a phony who maked fun of the act of magic! My girl Zee is a million times better at magic than him! Show 'em, Zee."

And with that, Zee proceed to exhibit real magic. She performed spells and made flowers appear from a guys shirt, grow hair on a bald guy, and made butterflies appear before our very eyes. Zee awaited for the applause from the audience but then...

"Fake." A guy said as the people left.

"Seriously? Seriously? SERIOUSLY?" I spoke angrily.

"Hm. Your friend isn't as raw and real as I am." Ace replied to me. "You all could learn a thing or two from me." As he left I was just about ready to put the hurt on him.

"I'll learn you!" I grew my hand into a hard fist ready to pound him but Zee stopped me.

"Nancy! Let him go! He's not worth it!"

I changed my hand back to normal size.

"I'll learn him!" She floated in mid air and began to chant a spell, then she shot her magic at Ace's back.

"What did you do to him, girl?" I asked Zee.

"You'll see..."

Ace began to perform another cheap trick when...

"All right. Look. Watch. Eyes on me." He ripped off his shirt but his tattoo looked different. "Is this your card?"

"Ta da..." Zee grinned sinisterly.

"Uh, that's not even a card." A female tourist spoke. "What kind of magician are you?"

The rest of the tourists left the lame magician, he was totally humiliated.

"Nice one, Zee. You really showed him."

"Thanks, so who wants ice cream?"

We all thought it was the end of our day, but something else happened to Ace...

Later, we were all at a table enjoying a sundae. Zee felt despondent that no one takes her as a real magician.

"So, uh, back there it was, uh..."

"I know. A complete disaster."

"Disaster?" I interrupted. "Don't apologize, Zee. That phony deserved it!"

"It's not that, Nancy." Zee sighed. "I just want to show the world what I can do. The kind of magician I really am. I just want to touch an audience."

I can tell that this girl could use some wise words.

"Zee Zatara, you are the best magician we know. No other magician and perform such mind blowing, incredible feats like you. I mean, you do REAL magic. Who can say that and actually mean it?"

Zee smiled.

"I bet someday you'll be known the world over as the greatest magician of them all." Karen added.

"Think bigger, Karen. Think universe over!"

Zee blushed. "Oh, you're just saying that."

"We mean every word." I wrapped my arm around Karen. "This pier will see you as a great magician."

Just then some kind of green furry thing landed on our sundae. We screamed in terror as the thing ran off.

"What the heck was that thing?!" I yelled.

We stopped to look and we found out there were more of those things wreaking havoc on the pier!

"Guys, what's happening?" Zee asked.

"You're asking me? I have no idea what's going on!" I replied.

"Wait a minute." Karen spoke. "Those faces. Zee. Your spell."

"My spell? But how? My magic can't do something like... But I was angry. It was me. This is all my fault. What do I do? What do I do? What do I-"

Karen smacked Zee in the face. "Snap out of it, woman! This is no time for crying, it's time for heroing."

"You're right, Karen. Let's teach these little monsters some manners."

We quickly suited up into our superhero outifts and went after the gremlins. We pursued a bunch on bumper cars chasing after a woman and her child. I was on the scene, Zatanna was following magically riding on a carousel horse. I took the one on the left, grabbing it from the back. The car went further stretching my arms and then I launched on the far side of the pier.

We then chased after the second couple of gremlins still pursuing the citizens. I then used my legs as a spring and jumped to the front, thinking fast I streched myself over the mother and baby acting as a ramp and the gremlins in the blue car rode over me like a ramp and fell into the ocean.

"Who's a cute baby? You are!" I couldn't help but coo the cute baby as he giggled back.

As I stretched back to normal, I heard a crashing sound coming from the arcade.

"Zatanna!" I cried as I came to her aid. I rushed to the arcade to see not only her against the wall but also Bumblebee trapped in a crane machine.

"Zora! Zatanna! Help!" She cried. "Get me out of here!"

Zatanna got to the crane machine and worked the claw. She tried to grab Bee, moving the claw left and right. Until finally she pushed the button, lowered the claw and grabbed... nothing. Zatanna groaned in frustration. Obviously she's never worked a crane game before.

"Zatanna, honey." I walked over to the game. "Let a pro show you how it's done." I cracked my knuckles and grabbed the joystick, I precisely moved the crane to Bumblebee's position and lowered it down. And before I knew it, I grabbed Bee and carried her to the hole where she flew right out of the game and grew back to her normal size.

"Wow, how are you so good?" Zatanna asked me.

"It's all about precision and concentration." I told her. "I've been playing crane games like this for years just to get a good prize. And my mom said it was a waste of money."

We exited the arcade and saw the gremlins tearing up the pier. They're even wrecking the rides.

"Zee, we gotta do something!" I exclaimed. "I almost lost the pier once, and I am NOT losing it again!"

"But I don't know what to do!" She replied. "They are just so dreadfully evil!"

"You created them, so make them less evil!"

Bumblebee notices two gremlins fighting over a teddy bear. They accidentally tore it up but then they hugged it out. It was then that she got an idea.

"What if they weren't evil?"

I was confused. "I am not following."

"What if they're just having fun?"

"Having fun? They're destroying the pier and frightening townsfolk, how is that fun?"

"No! They did not mean to do that." Bumblebee elaborated. "They were just looking for a fun time. See?"

We saw the gremlins bouncing around having fun. It was then that we noticed the same thing Bee did.

"Look at them, guys. They're just trying to entertain themselves."

"Well, if it's entertainment these gremlins want, it's entertainment they shall have." Zatanna transformed into her magician's outfit. "And that, my dears, is where you come in." She gives us the megaphones.

I sighed knowing I have to wear that embarrassing tutu again. "Fine, but just this once."

Soon after Karen and I put on our tutus and went on stage.

"Prepare yourselves, ladies and gentle-monsters, for an experience unlike any other." Karen announced.

"A magician so amazing, she will blow your tiny gremlin minds!" I added.

"We present to you the great and powerful Zee Zatara, princess of prestidigitation."

The gremlins all gathered to the stage was we exited making way Zee. Who pulled off a magnificent entrance.

"All right, you little beasts, who'd like to be entertained?"

The gremlins chattered excitedly.

Zee continued to pull off amazing magic the likes the gremlins have never seen! She made cards appeared out of thin air and changed the color of me and Karen's clothes! Then she floated Karen up and passed her through a ring changer her clothes back to her original color. Next, she placed me in a basket and I popped out of her hat. The gremlins were eating this stuff up.

"And now we've come to my final trick of the evening." Zee announced. "A trick so risky, so daring, that the squeamish among you may wish to look away. I will make my assistant..." She magically made a cabinet appear. "Dissappear!"

I was shaking in anticipation as I saw Karen walk into the cabinet. Zee closes the door...

"Now watch closely, my fiendish friends..."

The gremlins cheered.

"Spirits beyond, I summon thee here..." Zee made the cabinet float in mid air. "Heed my command, make this girl disappear." She waved her wand and aimed at the cabinet she opens it and Karen was gone! The gremlins cheered.

"WHOO! ZEE! THAT'S SOME GOOD MAGIC RIGHT THERE!" I applauded!

"Now, do I have any volunteers from the audience?" Zee asked.

The gremlins all went into the cabinet one by one, while Karen appeared from a portal behind it. She ran to the other side and closed it. Zee then pointed her wand at the cabinet and floated it up high into the sky. Karen and I were full of wonder and we weren't the only ones. The remaining citizens, even that jerk Ace of Spades came and saw Zee's act.

Zee blasted her magic into the cabinet and chanted a spell, and with one magic blast the gremlins were gone. There was silence as Zee floated down.

"Ta da!" She said and then, a roaring crowd and applause filled the stage. Ace of Spades just stood there mouth agape. I went over and closed his jaw.

Afterwards, we went out of the pier.

"Zee, that was amazing!" Karen cheered.

"I told you this pier will see you as a great magician!" I added.

"Well, a magician is only as good as her assistants." Zee smiled.

"And we're happy to be your assistants." Karen replied.

We all hugged as we walked home.

"So Zee, you got any gigs comining up?" I asked. "Because I would love to add some cortortionist acts to your magic. One thing though, I do not do tutus."
