Chapter One: Long Distance Friend
Pierre just received mail today then filter the letters he had one for Abigail from Loucas, Pierre smile then he goes to the kitchen to give the letter to Abigail that she asks every day if Loucas had sent letters, Pierre goes into the kitchen then she sees his father with letters in his hands Abigail was going to ask the famous question but his father anticipates him to say.
"Yes darling, Loucas sent a letter for you." Said Pierre giving her the letter then Abigail took the letter then she went to her room, Caroline laughs at her daughter's attitude and Pierre looks at her daughter curiously
"A funny way to react?" ask Pierre, Caroline laughs.
"I don't think so, his first friend after all, but I won't be surprised if he becomes interested later." Said Caroline
"What do you mean?" Ask Peter
"Pierre, don't you know his son, Danny?" Ask Caroline. Pierre looks away then he says.
"I vaguely remember." Said Pierre scratching his head.
"And do you remember all the young people in the village turning on him?" Said Caroline
"I don't remember." Said Pierre bitterly, Caroline laughs then she continues.

In Abigail's room.
Abigail was happy to receive a letter from her friend Loucas, she opened the envelope and read it.

She blinks then she goes into the clinic to see the old farmer is less fit before, Mr Bugeaud is lying on the bed of the clinic then the doctor finishes his diagnosis to say.
"I'm sorry Roger but I have to force you to retreat." Said the doctor. Roger takes a deep breath and then he says.
"I want to see young Lewis." Said Roger in a whisper, the doctor nodded then he went to leave the clinic to see Pierre and Caroline's daughter.
"Young lady, this is no place to play here, you-" the Doctor said before being interrupted by Roger.
"Its the girl has Pierre?" Ask Mr Bugeaud.
"Oh yes." Said the doctor
"Abby?...Have you heard from my grandson?" Ask for Roger.
"Yes." Abigail said.
"Then stay here while Jack brings Lewis here." Said Roger
"I come back." Jack says then he leaves the clinic to find the mayor.
Abigail sits next to the old farmer then she reads aloud then she shows the drawing of Loucas and Abigail fighting a dragon.
"I'm glad you're a good friend to my grandson Abby...when I first saw my grandson I was scared who has a city person attitude but I see my grandson- son who love to see me who respect everyone." said Roger. Abigail keep quiet for that continues.
"I had a loving wife and seven children, four daughters and three sons but my children were not interested in Agriculture but I always gave the choice even if its not giving the family farm, but when I saw the little Loucas watching the landscape as he gazing at every beauty of the valley I see the spirit of my wife she agrees that it should be Loucas who will inherit my farm." Said Roger
"Really, Loucas is really going to live here?!" Asks Abigail Then Lewis and arrives with documents in hand.
"Abigail, I would like to talk to Roger alone, adult stuff." Lewis says, she nods then she leaves the clinic but Mr Bugeaud says.
"Oh Abby...Don't talk about that kind of thing to Loucas I want him to be ready when the time comes." Says Roger then Abigail who clinics her.
One years later
Abigail received a letter from Loucas although she was happy to hear from her in her letters was like sad for her grandfather who was dying in the letters Abigail asked to speak to her family but Loucas said her little brother had died group of friends who sees his brother as blizzard is his two big sister sees his family as a shame, his father spends a lot of time drinking because of the stress of work is his mother was in front of his computer spoke with his friends who has ever seen.
But in her letters was different because when Abigail read she was sad for him.
Dear Abby I wanted to announce to you in the village that my grandfather gave his last breath to go see my grandmother in paradise, I feel more alone than ever because he was the best man I have met but I believe that my father is but uncle and aunt don't see the kind of man the village sees him.

At Pelican Town
It's been a long week for Abigail, Sam and Sebastian to comfort each other that all is going well.

"His the grandson of Roger Bugeaud." Abigail said.
"Wait, Bugeaud like the Bugeaud farm?" Ask for Sam and Sebastian
"Yes, Loucas is the grandson of Roger Bugeaud, and he has put all his hopes on him." Said Abigail
"You know there's a saying in this kind of situation that sometimes it jumps to another generation." Said Marlon
"You may have been right." Said Sam, Marlon nods his head then he leaves for the mountains.
Abigail walks back into the store and then her father tells her.
"Ah my darling you received something, I believe his a secret admirer, I leave you in your room." Said Pierre, Abigail blinks then she goes back to her room to see a bouquet of purple roses then a letter, At first she was skeptical then she reads the note that her cheeks turned red

I must be all your honest fact that I am surprised at your confession because we have been friends since I was seven years old and I can reassure you the only time that I really socialized with my grandfather who introduced me to the valley but when I started kindergarten atmosphere was totally different, its can be a big city with lots of people but the world was alone is lonely
Your letters have always been a great joy because I know that our friendship was not fake because you are good people, I am also surprised that you have developed feelings of love for me because the world always tells me that long distance relationships don't work. never compare to them but its that its bad with the internet its not the best.
"I'm going to tell a cute secret, I really like reading love stories is in the books its always the boy who woos the girl, if I try to say that I love you very much but I didn't want our friendship suffers and my classmates tell me who will be very lucky to tell me (She just loves you as a friend) I simply said that I will never stop loving you even if you had a boyfriend I will already be happy but if for you to be happy its I hold you in my arms, have a shoulder to cry on and look at the stars, I will be very happy that you are my sweet half, my warrior who will protect me as I will give my life for you.

Abigail wanted to talk about it during the summer but several letters were not answered, Pierre offered to see Mayor Lewis if he knew what was going on but Lewis said Roger's children had cut ties with the community, he just had Loucas who kept in touch and the children did not give an address where he lives

Four years later in the mayor's mansion.
Lewis having his morning green tea then he read the requests from the valley as usual he had Moris' request to build a warehouse at the community center he sighed then the phone rang.
"Strange? Who can call so soon?" Ask Lewis who picks up the phone
"Hello?" Ask for Lewis
"Yes, hello, I'm talking to Lewis, the mayor of Pelican Town?" Said the man that Lewis identified by his voice
"Yes its me." Said Lewis
"Hello, Mayor, I'm in a hurry, I'm Mr Bugeaud, I wanted to know if the Bugeaud farm is still there?" Asking Mr Bugeaud, Lewis scratches his eyes that his sister is lying to one of Roger's children who wants to have the rights to the farm to sell it.
"I'm sorry Danny he has only one person who has the rights and it's not you I'm even surprised that you remember for your father's farm who put heart and soul on his land and I even have the papers on the only person who owns the rights and no judge can break or bequeath to you that even the person's name is confidential." Says Lewis.
"..." He had a long silence just for Lewis to break it.
"You are here?" Request Lewis
