Masters of the Sea and Death

Chapter Five: Inner Demon.

Atlantis: Many Years Ago.

"Dagahra? What is it?" The dragon looked down at the dead Garasharp, watching as its blood seeped between the glowing blue lines of Atlantis, everything going silent around him as he thought about everything leading up to that moment. "Dagahra…. are you okay?" He then looked up, seeing Manda's concerned look as he watched his fellow Guardians battle the rest of the serpents.

"… Why didn't you tell me?" Dagahra closed his eyes in anger, feeling the familiar burning sensation of the Barem in his cannons. "…. The Gyaos….. Why didn't you tell me? I thought you were my friend Manda…." He opened them again, seeing a blurred Manda right in front of him as she moved back from him. "…. Say something….."

"Dagahra…. I…. I…." The dragon's vision cleared up, and he could see Manda's full face, a look of sorrow in her eyes. "I couldn't…. my duties to Atlantis….." As soon as he heard this, Dagahra roared and stomped the ground, his blood beginning to boil as Barem slowly started to crawl out of his cannons, and he quickly fired an energy blast right at a Garasharp that was going to attack Manda.

"Duties? Fuck your duties! You knew that there were other guardians before any of us, so why couldn't you tell me before?! TELL ME!" Dagahra watched as Manda backed away, and as Deutalios turned to look at him, his tiny eyes filled with fear as Dagahra started aggressively approaching Manda. "Was it all a lie?! Was I just another disposable tool for you to use?! And what about them!?" As Manda continued to back away, Dagahra's body started to crackle intensely with violent electricity, and several bolts blasted out of his body, killing several Garasharp that got near him. "ARE THEY JUST TOOLS TOO?! JUST THINGS TO USE FOR YOUR OWN AMUSEMENT?!" Manda then suddenly fired an Ice Beam at Dagahra as his body really started to crackle, taking the dragon by surprise and causing him to leap back.

"No Dagahra! I care about all of you….. I truly do," Manda angrily snarled, her voice sounding deathly calm. "I know you are angry…. and I deserve it…. but Dagahra…. your anger…. Don't you see what it's doing?" Dagahra recovered from his surprise, and then looked at himself, seeing the crackling energy around him, and yet his anger did not subside. "Dagahra…. I've seen this kind of raw power once before, and it can do terrible things…." Irys glanced over as he heard this, and Dagahra saw him out of the corner of his eye, remembering the talk he had with him in his chamber.

"Do you really care about us? Are you really my friend? Then tell me this…. will we be replaced? Will we be thrown away like the Gyaos were?" Dagahra could hear the violet electricity and energy start to crackle louder and louder, barely noticing as the blue lines started to pulse where he was, and Manda's eyes grew wide as her front claw reached into the line closest to her. "Am I really Master of the Sea and the Last Hope of Mankind, or am I just another Gyaos for them to throw away? Please Manda…. tell me…" Manda pulled her claw away, and saw Dagahra's look of anger give away to desperation, a pleading look in his eyes.

"Dagahra….. I…." Before she could finish her answer, there was a loud boom, from above, several fireballs rained down near the Guardians, quickly blasting apart the remaining Garasharp, and causing the energy Dagahra was letting off to disperse. Glancing up, he saw something flying in the sky, a strange disk-like object which then started to descend, jets shooting out of four spaces in it. Then the jets stopped, and out of the spaces popped out arms and legs, followed by a tail and a head, which allowed the new kaiju to land right in front of everyone, the other Guardians moving forward to look at the new arrival. He was a stocky kaiju, with big arms and legs, and what initially appeared to be a strange disk shape was actually a massive shell that was dark grey and black in color, and was ridged on the sides with sharp points. His hands and feet ended in five yellow clawed digits, and near his elbows were spikes, along with two on his legs. His tail was short, and seemed to flow well with the ridged back of his shell. Finally, he had a fierce looking head with sharp white teeth and two white tusks that came out of the bottom of his mouth near the front of his snout. There was a single row of spikes on the top of his head, and his two fierce looking green eyes gave him a sense of great intelligence. "Oh no," Manda whispered as Dagahra looked at the new arrival, and then turned back at Manda, the pleading look giving away into a saddened look.

"Is everything okay?" The newcomer, or rather the real Last Hope of Mankind, had a deep calm voice, something which Dagahra drowned out as he could see several humans congratulating each other in the distance, a slow creeping dread which built up as his heartbeat increased. "Don't worry… I'm here to help." Manda smiled briefly at the new guardian, while everyone else looked at him, before she noticed Dagahra turning away from her, and starting to leave, his body trembling as she quickly moved to him.

"Dagahra…. I'm sorry…. I had no idea…." Manda watched as the dragon whipped around, his stare darkening as he glared at her.

"…. You lied to me… Don't talk to me." Deutalios immediately ran to his friend, and followed him as he flew back to his chamber, looking down at the city below him, and seeing all of the citizens racing out of their homes made him speed up, flying into his chamber as he shut the door behind him and Deutalios. He looked at the pool of water, and saw not a dragon staring at him from it.

But a mistake.

"Boss…." Deutalios whimpered as Dagahra suddenly hit the water with his front claw, and roared up in the sky, before his body crackled with the violet energy again, and it quickly went around the whole chamber.

"I'm….. I'm a monster….. I'm an idiot….. I was…. fooling myself…. DAMN IT!" Dagahra screamed again, and Barem started to pour out of his cannons, and Deutalios hid away, until Dagahra noticed him. "Little buddy?"

"Boss….. you're scaring me….." Daghara's energy then started to die down, and the Barem stopped flowing out of his cannons, with the dragon seeing the rat hiding from him, his eyes watery with tears.

"I'm sorry… little buddy," Dagahra said, walking slowly up to the other kaiju, and wrapping his front arms around him as Deutalios buried his face in his chest. "I'm so sorry….. I don't know what to do…. I don't know what to do…."

Atlantis: Central Chamber.

Leo and Junior moved through the halls of the strange chamber, hearing the pulsing of the power through the black walls and floor, and watched the red lines running through the building like some sort of circulatory system. "I can feel the power Junior," Leo whispered, flying ahead of his lover as he noticed an entrance up ahead, with a massive red glow emanating from it, illuminating the hallway in a faint red glow. "It's….. I don't know what to say about it…."

"Then we don't say anything anymore Leo," Junior replied, a low growl emanating from his throat as he reached the entrance, and stepped inside the massive chamber. "We just stop him… and hope that he hasn't done something irreversible." The two found themselves in a massive chamber, and within the middle of the chamber stood Dagahra, right on a raised platform where a red glow was emanating from his body. The Sea Dragon's eyes were closed, and the sounds of a massive heartbeat could be heard all throughout the chamber, at least until Junior and Leo fired out their atomic ray and forehead beam respectively. As the beams flew at Dagahra, the dragon suddenly opened his eyes, which were pure red now, and flew out of the way, before firing his own beam back, colliding with the beams from the other kaiju.

"Here you are at last…. the mighty Earth Defenders," Dagahra chuckled, his voice echoing throughout the chamber. "The Son of Godzilla and the Son of Mothra….. pleasure to meet you." Dagahra then charged at Leo who had covered himself in cosmic energy, the two clashing as Junior tried to swipe at the sea dragon with his tail, only to be suddenly met with another Hidotah. It punched Junior with one of its arms, and sent the young kaiju flying back with a surprising amount of force. He slammed against the wall and got back up, watching as the starfish advanced with its singular eye glowing red. Dagahra then stopped clashing with Leo, and the two fell back from each other, the dragon firing his cannons while the moth fired out his scales and wing lightning, which easily stopped the Barem from reaching him. Junior's dorsal plates started to glow white as he charged at the Hidotah, the starfish firing its own eye laser at Junior. As Dagahra stopped firing his cannons and flew at Leo again, the two started to clash again, the Heart's radiance nearly blinding the young moth. "You're too late kid…. Heart's already inside of me…. and its accepted me as its master…" Leo growled and pushed back, firing out ring shaped energy beams which disrupted the sea dragon briefly before summoning several sigils from the ground, and blasting him with energy beams.

"Has it Dagahra? Or did you force it into submission?" Leo's questions were followed by him firing off his chest beam, which the sea dragon counted by holding out his claws, and firing out crimson energy from them, the beam blasting Leo upwards as Junior's spiral beam blasted through the starfish, and hit Dagahra head on. The dragon was sent flying back as Leo fell back down, and Junior caught him, sighing in relief as he saw that Leo was okay. "Get him Junior, I'll help you." The two charged towards the dragon before he could recover, Junior grabbing him and then slashing with his claws as he tossed him at Leo, the moth's wing lightning holding the dragon in place as he flew upwards, ring shaped energy exploding downwards as the dragon crashed back onto where the heart was.

"You have all that power don't you Dagahra? All for your master? Do you even know how to use it?" Junior leapt at the dragon, who looked up with fury, and then gestured with his claw. As he did so, part of the floor rose out and flew at Junior, slamming the young kaiju away as the sea dragon gestured to a wall, causing several parts of the wall to fly out and hit Junior.

"I have no master…. Not anymore…. He should fear me…. BECAUSE I AM ATLANTIS!" As Dagahra roared, the chamber pulsed loudly, and Leo barely dodged several more parts of the wall that flew out at him, while Dagahra laughed wildly and crackled with crimson energy. "Now where was I? Oh yes… dealing with some pests!" Dagahra took off again towards Leo, gripping the moth's head as he discharged some of the Heart's energies into him and then tossed him at Junior, who caught his lover and threw him back at the sea dragon, the Moth discharging the energy back into him along with some cosmic energy, and sent him flying into the ceiling of the chamber. Roaring angrily, the sea dragon then fired his cannons at the two, both Junior and Leo firing their own beams at the clusters of Barem, with a few latching onto Junior as he pulled them off and tried to ignore their burning venom as Dagahra charged downwards at him, and grabbed onto him as the two started a physical fight. Leo flew down and attacked the dragon from behind, stinging him as he discharged another forehead beam into his back, while Junior bit the dragon's throat, ignoring the raw energy being pumped into him. Dagahra's body pulsed with the Heart's energy again, and then let out a massive energy wave which blew Junior and Leo back, to which the dragon took flight again, and started to make the whole chamber rumble with power as he flung more debris from it up into the air, preparing to toss it at the two kaiju.

"Damn it Junior…. I can't get a good hit on him," Leo muttered, his body still crackling as he flew next to Junior, who stood up and started charging up his atomic ray again.

"Neither can I Leo…." Dagahra laughed loudly again and flung his claws forward, only for a crystal to come out of nowhere, and impale the dragon, sending him flying as his concentration was broken. Neo emerged out of the entrance of the chamber, his body crackling with cosmic energy, and a wide strange grin on his face as he stepped in, staring at the kaiju within the chamber. "Neo…. Hey… thanks for the save…." Leo suddenly stopped Junior from going to him, and before the young Kaiju could ask why, he noticed the moth using his telepathy.

"It's not Neo….." Junior stared at the creature wearing Neo's body as he approached the two, and Leo turned around, watching as Dagahra got up, his body crackling intensely as the two kaiju approached them.

The fight had just gotten more complicated.

Atlantis: Underneath.

"Oohhhh…. Where'd that little ass go?" Ebirah's voice did nothing to take away from Kong and Angurius's awe, the two kaiju looking at the cavern beneath the city. Kong walked forward, a blue glow from his axe helping illuminate the chamber as the trio looked around at it, the ape leading them as they moved on the walkway.

"He could be anywhere in here," Anguirus observed, peeking over the walkway they were on and seeing several others down below. "Everyone, keep your guard up."

"Sure thing Guirus," Kong answered, looking at his axe once again as he examined the cracks in the blade. The cracks seemed to be whispering something, a voice that seemed familiar, and yet not so familiar at the same time. "What's this? What are you saying to me?" Kong leaned in closer to hear the whispering, while both Ebirah and Anguirus moved ahead of him,

"Kong, wielder of the sacred lightning…. last of your people…. you wish to enter lightning mode do you not?" Kong stopped himself from gasping, and continued to move as he listened to the axe and the voice in his mind.

"…..Mother? Is that you? Or are you just using her voice to talk with me, whoever you are?" Kong's heart thumped in his chest, the warm voice making him remember happier times, before he shook his head and went back to listening.

"I can speak as whoever you would like to hear Kong," the voice said, now sounding like his father. "Whoever you want, whoever you trust the most." Now the voice sounded like both his parents at the same time.

"I do wish to enter lightning mode, but is there a cost to it? And what else do you have to offer me in my mission?" Kong could feel his heart still thumping, some electricity discharging from his axe as he waited for an answer.

"The cost is something you will have to discover for yourself Kong…. And for what more I have to offer you…. all will be revealed in due time…. be wary of the darkness, wielder of the sacred lightning." With that, the voice seemed to disappear, leaving Kong alone once again as he looked away from his axe, and noticed several bodies lying on the walkway, which both Ebirah and Anguirus were inspecting.

"Hey Kong," Anguirus called out, causing the ape to hurry over, while Ebirah suddenly saw something in a hallway and scurried down into it, muttering under his breath. "I don't know how to explain it, but something's off."

"Hm? What do you mean Gurius?" Kong scratched his head in confusion while the Angilas moved away from a flayed body of a Gyaos, and looked at another, staring at the red lines running throughout the architecture. "Junior and the others have Dagahra handled… is it something with the city?" Anguirus shook his head, and motioned for Kong to come closer as the pulsing of the city seemed to grow almost louder, as if there was something happening on the surface above.

"No, it's something else…. It's like a cold feeling," Anguirus replied, shuddering as he turned to look at the edge of the walkway, and then back at where they had entered. There seemed to be a strange white mist rolling into the underground, to which the Angilas started to growl. "It's in there… there's something in the mist… don't you see?"

"OH I'LL TELL YOU WHAT I SEE!" A loud shriek suddenly broke the eerie silence as Deutalios leapt down from the ceiling and fired his sonar blast at Anguirus, which the dinosaur narrowly avoided as several more Gyaos joined the rat kaiju on the walkway. "Two dead idiots, that's who!" Deutalios charged at Anguirus, and morphed his front legs into squid tentacles while the dinosaur swung his tail and fired off a sonic blast, the rat holding on with his tentacles as the blast hit him while the Gyaos flew overhead towards Kong. The ape roared and leapt up, quickly killing one Gyaos by slicing into its neck, while the other he brought down with a lightning blast, all while the white mist continued to flow into the underground, now moving silently over the walkway. Several more Gyaos emerged, including a white one who glared at the fighting kaiju, and she sent them at both Kong and Anguirus, the latter now fighting Deutalios with his teeth and claws. "I'll give you this, you weaklings," Deutalios grunted while Anguirus tossed him further onto the walkway. "You can take a lot of punishment, but I'll end that today!" Then suddenly a loud scream echoed throughout the chamber, and as Kong, Anguirus, Deutalios, two regular Gyaos, and the white Gyaos stopped fighting and looked around for the source of it. The white one then noticed movement on the bridge, and quickly called out to the two regular Gyaos and flew away, the other two not moving while Deutalios made a similar call.

"What's going on here? Guirus?" The dinosaur looked at Kong, his axe and body surging with electricity while one of the Gyaos backed away nervously as more of the mist flowed in, an eerie whispering filling the air. Kong turned around, and suddenly the Gyaos was grabbed by something on the ground, and it shrieked in terror as a figure rose over it, biting its neck with a wet crunch and pulling down the bird as the shrieks turned into gurgles, then to silence. Kong, Anguirus, Deutalios, and the remaining Gyaos moved over to see what had killed the other Gyaos, and the sounds of chewing became louder. The mist cleared away some as it spread around the whole chamber, and over the body of the fallen Gyaos knelt another one, eating in silence. Kong put his hand over his mouth as Anguirus's eyes widened in horror, and Deutalios started to mutter under his breath. Then it noticed them.

"It's….." The Gyaos stood up, its flayed head moving silently on its remaining tendons, blank white eyes and dripping gore from its mouth staring at the group. It groaned just a bit, moving to Kong while other groaning sounds started to fill the walkway, and the Gyaos it had ate stood up as well, its head barely connected to its body. "Evil….." There was another scream, and Ebirah came scuttling down the walkway as he skidded and stopped near Kong, panting heavily before he saw several more undead Gyaos rise up, their blank stares making him scream in terror.

"K-k-k-killed a f-f-few more in there," Ebirah stammered while the undead Gyaos moaned and started to approach the group, lumbering forward and dripping blood on the walkway, "T-t-then m-m-mist c-c-c-came in a-an-an-and…. ALIVE AGAIN!" From the hallway where Ebirah had come from, more moans and groans echoed, and the remaining Gyaos looked around before it screamed and flapped its wings rapidly.

"Don't do that you idiot!" The Gyaos took off into the air, only for several slicing beams to fire from the walkway and burn holes in its wings, the bird screeching as it fell down onto the walkway. Several of the undead Gayos moved towards the fallen Gyaos and tore into it, the sound of squelching and gurgles drowning out the screeches, while the remaining four kaiju looked at the approaching ghouls, and Deutalios spoke again. "Did you do this? Any of you? Cause now we're all fucked." A Gyaos cry suddenly came from behind, and Anguirus turned around to see more of the creatures crawling down from where they had entered, ignoring their wounds as they limped towards the kaiju, their blank white eyes filled with desire.

"We didn't," Anguirus spat, looking at Deutalios while Ebirah crawled up onto Kong, the ape growling a bit while more of the Gyaos surrounded them. "But maybe one of your buddies did…." Deutalios looked at Anguirus with an angry glare, before he looked at the group and then started to form a cyclone around himself.

"We'll never get out of here alive while they're still surrounding us…. So get ready!" Deutalios flew forward, throwing himself directly into a crowd of approaching Gyaos and sending them flying off of the walkway. "After we deal with these freaks, then we can finish killing each other!" The Gyaos spun around in the funnel cloud, being sent off the walkway while Kong and Anguirus both looked at each other, the Angilas then roaring and charging at the Gyaos coming from the entrance to the underground while Kong grabbed his axe and removed Ebirah, joining Deutalios in fighting the ones coming from the chamber.

"Oy, I'm gonna regret this aren't I? Come here you bastards! I'll kill you as many times as it takes!" Ebirah turned around and joined Anguirus, leaping over the dinosaur as the two dodged more slicing beams from the groaning kaiju, and then started to engage them in combat fully with Anguirus slicing with his sonic slashes and Ebirah using his claws and hidden limps to do the same. Kong too was slicing into the Gyaos, charging his axe up with electricity as he swung it fiercely and sliced open their heads, some exploding from the force while others simply just found their heads separated from their bodies, falling to the abyss below. Deutalios stopped his cyclone as he sent several Gyaos flying off of the walkway, and then several tentacles burst out of his body and impaled several of the Gyaos, electricity surging through them and making them explode. Anguirus continued to tear through his Gyaos, his sonic roar blowing several more away, and as he was panting heavily, it was right about then that he noticed the mist he was standing in was starting to be taken over by bright red glow, slowly but surely mixing in with the Atlantis glow.

"Great now what? Come out you bastard," Anguirus muttered, getting into a fighting pose and quickly blasting one more undead Gyaos with a quick sonic crescent from his tail. A bigger shaped dropped down from the entrance onto the walkway, and the red glow got brighter as it emerged from the mist.

"You've taken out quite a few of the ghouls," an almost familiar raspy voice said, making Anguirus back away slowly as he growled and then stood his ground. "I am impressed boy…. You aren't entirely defenseless after all." The shape moved closer, and stood in front of Anguirus, who could feel his heart start to beat faster when he realized it was an Angilas speaking to him. A far bigger one with a cracked body and red flames within the cracks, along with a single white glowing eye and a red glowing eye with a scar over it.

"No, no, no… it can't be," Anguirus muttered, his body shaking, and the memories of that night filled his head, remembering the cruel face looking at him as he dangled over the rocks at the bottom of the cliff. "No…. no…. it's impossible!" Kong and Ebirah briefly looked back, the former trying to reach Anguirus, but found himself being swarmed by more of the undead Gyaos, and the latter too found himself backed to where Kong and Deutalios were. "You… you…."

"What's the matter you little bastard? You look like you've seen a ghost…. son…..HAHAHAHAHA!" Bōryu grinned as his carapace split apart, and more flames erupted out of it as his roar echoed throughout the underground, and Anguirus tried to stand his ground.

Above the ground, Gojira's mist continued to spread throughout the city, bringing more of the fallen Gyaos back to life, following him as he headed for the center, and aside from the single voice among the many crying out within his body, nothing was stopping him from getting to the center.

Nothing at all.

The Dark World: Bagan's Lair.

"You've summoned me father? What is it?" Ghidorah walked carefully into Bagan's lair, and seeing his creator's throne, he bowed down followed by Gezora doing so as well. "Are you alright father?" The throne then slowly revolved around to face the two kaiju, and to Ghidorah's surprise, Bagan was in his shell, all six eyes staring at the two kaiju.

"I am alright Ghidorah," Bagan answered, his voice echoing throughout the lair, "My newest Acolyte has proven himself to be quite useful as of now, but there is something else we must discuss…. Namely the Promised Day."

"And what of it father? It is still on track to happen is it not?" Ghidorah looked up slowly, watching as Bagan got up from his throne, and moved it away from his own personal viewing globe, which itself was showing off several images at once. There was Gojira, busy marching through the remains of Atlantis followed by an army of the dead. Then there was a meteor hurtling through space towards a black hole. And then there was Godzilla….. alive and well… and yet different. "Father…. what is this? Who is that?" It was indeed Godzilla, and he was locked into combat with an Angilas, one that looked very similar to a younger Bōryu.

"When I am able to regain my full power," Bagan continued, moving the other images away from the viewing globe and leaving the one of Godzilla and Bōryu fighting up, "There is a matter I need to attend to my son…. namely the mistakes I left behind."

"But haven't you been erasing those other timelines father? What are you saying?" Ghidorah was standing up now, his faces filled with confusion as he saw the image shift over to Godzilla fighting against what appeared to be an alternate version of himself, alongside a Radon and a Divine Moth larva. "No…. they still exist?! How is this possible?!"

"I was surprised too my son, and yet not so much," Bagan chuckled softly. "As it would seem, Godzilla himself is nothing more than a singular point in this universe, as if he was spawned to make sure I would meet with my fate. Even now in this timeline when he is dead, his son vexes me, and yet, so many other interesting variations have happened." Bagan waved his hand again, and Ghidorah watched as Godzilla was now facing a massive crustacean, an alternate version of Hedorah, what appeared to be Gigan and himself again, then a mechanical Godzilla, then the other Ghidorah once again, only with an army of other kaiju backing him up, and ultimately killing the other Ghidorah. "For instance, in this timeline he surfaced one year after Gojira's death, and after battling Bōryu in the human's cities, went on to become their savior, their hero, and perhaps the first Godzilla I encountered."

"There's more isn't there father? Show me," Ghidorah growled, glaring at the smug grin on Godzilla's face. The globe started to shift once again, and now another image became clear on it, that of a green-purple female Godzilla rampaging Tokyo in 1954, before moving forward to show her locked into combat with a strange bulky alien that was trying to absorb her DNA, before shifting over to her fighting an alternate Megagurius.

"A timeline in which Gojira was female to begin with and was dubbed Godzilla by the humans," Bagan explained, closing all six of his eyes as he chuckled once again. "And one in which the good doctor did not create his finest invention. She herself challenged me." Another image took its place, and this time it seemed to play out as normally did, only this time Gojira's remains were flooded with strange transparent spirits, regenerating slowly as in New York a version of Zilla rampaged, and then rising out of the sea as a bloated creature with pure white eyes full of hatred, and facing down strange versions of Mothra and Ghidorah. "Oh in this timeline…. The spirits of the dead brought Gojira to life as their way of vengeance, and an imposter rose in his stead. Of course the Guardian Beasts tried to stop him, but his unending rage and hatred allowed him to prevail each and every time he would return!" The image shifted again, and this time there was machinery being built around a skeleton, and Godzilla facing down the resulting cyborg in a city, a transparent blue spirit appearing behind it that resembled Gojira. "In this timeline, the humans brought Gojira back to life to stop Godzilla, and meddled with forces beyond their control, and their hubris resulted in their eventual end." Ghidorah stood back taking in all of the information while another image took its place in the globe, and Gezora finally stopped bowing to look up.

"Master look," Gezora gestured with one of his tentacles, pointing at a Godzilla who fought through multiple kaiju at once, before facing a being that very much resembled Desghidorah. "There's more…"

"Oh there is indeed Gezora," Bagan answered, barely noticing the tears coming out of Ghidorah's eyes. "A timeline in which those idiot Xiliens invaded the earth with their armies, only to meet their ends at Godzilla's hands." The images shifted again, and Ghidorah looked on in horror as he saw another Godzilla, one who battled another Ghidorah in the Artic before showing him emerging in front of several small tropical islands and being hit with a nuclear bomb. Then the images shifted to him battling two Mutos in San Francisco, before it showed him incinerating the other Ghidorah in a massive display of atomic energy, and then to him clashing with another Kong in Hong Kong before the two teamed up to take on a mechanical Godzilla. "A timeline in which Godzilla keeps balance between nature and the filthy humans…. clashing with those who would dare to disrupt that balance!"

"No, no, no, it's impossible," Ghidorah muttered when he saw a deformed Godzilla fire off purple slicing energy from his dorsal plates, "How many are there!? HOW MANY!?"

"A timeline where Godzilla only recently exists, an abomination who does not know who he is," Bagan continued showing more images to his cowering creation. A tall Godzilla, who seemed to be made out of the Earth herself, clashed with a golden construct that closely resembled another Ghidorah on a wilderness filled Earth. "A timeline where the Earth herself grew sick of humanity, and created Godzilla to drive them off." Then an image of a strange looking Godzilla appeared, standing in a red mist. "Evolution creates a Godzilla here, making sure there is one to exist. And yet you may wonder why I show you all of this my son," Bagan said, smiling as he walked behind Ghidorah, placing his hands on him. The images shifted again, and as a new one slowly but surely started to form, Ghidorah looked at his creator.

"Why?" The image formed fully, and on it was the Earth as it was in prehistoric times, a single supercontinent.

"I believe these Earth Defenders will continue to vex us Ghidorah, much like Godzilla has done with me in those timelines. So when I have my power back, I will finally destroy them all," Bagan answered, the Earth on the viewing globe getting bigger as the details became clearer. Ghidorah looked at the image, his jaws dropping when he saw that the Earth was inhabited by all kaiju… and that they were evolved. "And now what you see before you my son…. a universe. Not a timeline. A universe where kaiju rule and dominate the Earth, like humans do. And now look." Ghidorah saw one kaiju in particular, standing tall and proud, growling a bit as he realized who it was. Of course there were multiple Godzillasaur, considering kaiju were the dominant species of this universe, but there was one on the viewing globe that stood out to Ghidorah the most. He bore a close resemblance to the father of Junior, and was clad in a black shirt with gold trim, black pants, silver shoulder armor on a harness along with wrist guards and shin guards that were hidden under his pants. On the right side of his belt was a tachi blade in a sheathe that was clamped onto his belt, and above it was a sheathed wakizashi, which was simply slipped into the belt. "There is a Godzilla there who will challenge me if I dare set foot in his universe. And I will slay him and do as I did with this universe, and then move onto the next one, and the many after that one. Now, imagine my son, a universe filled with marvelous heroes, human and mutant alike, and there is a Godzilla to protect it. Imagine a universe, perhaps seen as a dark horse by many due to its unconventional nature, where Godzilla exists as well and humans challenge him still, with some harnessing the ability to grow in size. Imagine if you will a universe where ideas and designs are made into work, and Godzilla and multiple timelines exist within that universe. Perhaps there are timelines within where he braves through hell, slays ancient gods, or takes advantage of a cataclysm to take the Earth back for himself. All infinite universes filled with the one thing that is supposed to protect them from me. It is how I will live forever my son, in an endless cycle…. and why I need you to play your role."

"I would never betray you father!" Ghidorah spat, his body crackling with yellow lightning. "Do you think me as foolish as Destoroyah, or as stupid as Desghidorah!? Do you think me like Deutalios and Dagahra?! LOYAL TO SOMETHING ELSE?!" Bagan moved to Ghidorah's front once again, and summoned his throne back, sitting in it while he looked at the furious dragon. "Varan died for you….. I lost him…. and you dare to think I WOULD TURN AGAINST YOU?!"

"I do not my son," Bagan answered calmly, his voice almost dripping with a dangerous and authoritative tone. "All I simply ask is for you to play your role when the time comes for it. I am sure you can avenge his death, provided they last that long. I will just say this…. you will help me greatly when the time comes my son… no matter how uncertain it seems. After the Promised Day, I will correct my mistakes…. and do so much more. You may leave now." The throne spun around again, and Ghidorah looked at its back, before turning around and leaving, followed closely by Gezora.

"I have been loyal to you throughout your whole life father….. why are you doing this to me?"

Bagan simply sat in his throne, watching as the phantom continued his march, and smiled underneath his shell. "You don't want me to succeed do you?"

He was talking to no one in particular, no one but the universe.

Author's Note: Hey everyone. I guess I have a lot to explain huh? Yeah I took a break from this story, mostly because of my regular life becoming more busy as well as hitting a point in this story where I felt like I had to take a break from it before I could decide what to do next. However, I did figure out what I wanted to do and thus I was able to come back and finish this chapter, as well as start my other big story, which has been going well too. I am sorry once again for the amount of time it took this chapter to come out, but I wanted to make sure that I could make it the best it could be, which I hold true for all of my stories.
