When they arrived at the Burrow, Violet and Harry were happy that they didn't share a room with anyone. They were used to having their own space during the summer. Dobby had added a wall that separated their spaces in the Dursely home, so they wouldn't have to share their personal space with each other. They may be close but they didn't like sharing everything. Violet got Bill's old bedroom, and her mother and father magically changed everything so it would better suit her personality. The walls were freshly painted a striking, dusty royal purple, and the doors and trim were painted the darkest grey. One wall was made entirely of glass that would magically open by the tap of her wand, providing a magnificent view of the pond. There were bookshelves all along one wall, that would magically expand with every book Violet owned or would purchase. It was a good thing it would magically expand because Violet had a miniature library, just over a thousand books, both magical and muggle, and she would soon have more. Violet enjoyed learning and reading, but she balanced her drive to learn, with having fun. As much as she loved Hermione as a sister, that girl wouldn't know how to have fun if it jumped up and bit her. Anyway, along another wall was a large wardrobe that was built into the wall to save space, and the other to a small bathroom that led into Ginny's bedroom, so she would share it with her little sister. And along the last wall, was a small fireplace and a desk so Violet could do her homework. Violet's bed was a double daybed with storage, with a Mahogany frame, and the bedside tables were again, made of Mahogany, with Mahogany wooden lambs that had runes to power them up, with white cream-colored lamp shades. Lastly, the floor was, again, Mahogany hardwood, with a royal purple plush carpet under the bed to prevent scratching, and in the far corner of the room, was the cage and perch for Apollo, a Long-eared owl and Violet's familiar.

"Thank you, mum. It's beautiful," Violet said, smiling happily that she could finally call Molly by the title that both she and Harry have been calling her privately. She sat her trunk down next to her bedside table. "You're welcome, dear," Molly said, tears in her eyes as she heard her eldest daughter call her mum for the first time. They heard a loud BOOM, and they ran out of the room, wands in hand, and were relieved it had been one of Fred and George's pranks. "Merlin! Fred, George, if you keep this up, you will be grounded for the entire summer," Molly sternly said, but if you were to look closer, you would see the hidden humor in her eyes. Harry and Violet had to look away before they burst out laughing.

"Well, I would like to get to know my siblings better, so can we all sit?" Percy asked. "Of course, son," Arthur said as he directed everyone into the living room. "Before we tell you about our childhood, can we tell you about our first two years? I am willing to bet our trust vault, that you do not know everything," Harry said, sharing a look with Ron and Vi.

"First-year we were supposed to be in Slytherin and got on to the Quidditch team, me as a chaser, and Harry as a seeker. Me, Harry, Ron, and Hermione fought a troll, we helped Hagrid smuggle out a dragon and got caught, we had detention in the forbidden forest with Malfoy where Harry and I were rescued by a centaur when we saw something drinking unicorn blood. We worked out Dumbledore was keeping the Philosophers stone on the 3rd floor, we were attacked at our Quidditch game and nearly throne of our brooms, we discovered someone wanted to steal the stone and one night we discovered that Dumbledore wasn't in the castle and the thief was going to make their move so we went down to save the stone, we lost Ron on a giant chessboard and Hermione in the potions room, Harry and I went on alone only to discover it was Voldemort who wanted the stone. He attacked, we fought back after managing to get hold of the stone, he nearly killed us and we woke up in the hospital wing 3 days later," Violet told her family the condensed version and looked at their stunned expressions, she knew it would take a while and sure enough, ten minutes of silence and it was finally settling, Arthur's eyes flashed with undisguised rage, Molly leaped up and began pacing before spinning towards her children.

"A troll, a dragon, and VOLDEMORT!" she burst out furiously and Harry, Violet, and Ron nodded calmly knowing the anger wasn't directed at them.

"Where was Dumbledore in all of this?" Arthur demanded and they shrugged.

"I don't know, all I know is he gave us our cloak for Christmas,"

"Wait until I get my hands on that fucking old fool," Molly said furiously. Her children were shocked that she used such language but they knew how protective she was.

"So let me get this straight," Arthur took a deep breath, "At 11-years-old, after growing up in the muggle world and only participating in the wizarding world and magic itself for less than a year, you face a troll, the forest, and Voldemort,"

"Yeah," Harry ran her figures through his hair sheepishly, they were taking it worse than he thought, Violet and Harry mused as their parents began pacing and planning the numerous protection spells that would be layered on their children from now on, and the kids almost felt for the headmaster.

"Okay, well, as much as I want to lock Dumbledore in a room with a werewolf on a full moon, we can't and we are here to listen to Harry and Violet's first two years," Molly reminded herself and her husband and sat down releasing a breath.

"As always, you are right, my love," Arthur agreed, "It's not like it can get worse for the second year," he laughed lightly but stopped when Harry, Violet, and Ron cringed.

"How could it possibly be worse?" they gasped.

"We were nearly eaten by a herd of hungry acromantula and bitten by an ancient Basilisk," Harry blurted out and winced at how callous that came out, all the color left both their faces and they both went from 0 to catatonic in seconds.

"YOU WHAT!?" Arthur roared. Molly didn't seem to be able to produce words as she registered what was said.

"Well, the Chamber of Secrets was opened and students began to get petrified. No one knew what was going on and at one point, we brewed Polyjuice Potion and snuck into Slytherin's common room to interrogate Malfoy," Harry cracked a half-smile but hurried on.

"It was getting worse when we found this book belonging to a T. M. Riddle, one day I spilled ink over everything and the diary just seemed to absorb it. I checked the date of the diary and found it to be around the time the chamber was first opened, I wrote in it and it wrote back-,"

"Wait, what?" Molly finally spoke, she was still pale and his eyes were still flashing with unconcealed age, but her attention was focussed. She knew about some of what happened the previous year because of Ginny, but she didn't hear everything.

"Yeah, it wrote back and showed me a memory of Tom Marvolo Riddle and how he caught Hagrid for opening the chamber,"

"Hagrid!"

"It'll be explained," Harry assured and when they nodded he took a breath and continued.

"Of course, the four of us were skeptical to believe him because it's Hagrid, I mean, I know he has a bit of a thing for dangerous creatures, but he would never purposely hurt anyone," Harry shook his head. "We didn't want to have to ask him, but then Hermione was attacked," both adults gasped and Violet nodded with a grimace.

"We were angry, and out of options. We went to see Hagrid and he swore it wasn't him, unfortunately, we were interrupted and had to hide under my cloak as the minister, Dumbledore and Malfoy turned up,"

"What was he doing there?" Harry didn't need to question who his mother was talking about.

"He was there with an order of suspension for Dumbledore, the headmaster had to step down and was taken away after leaving a message to us as I have no doubt he knew we were there. Then Fudge took Hagrid and Hagrid said that if we wanted answers all we had to do was to follow the spiders," Molly closed her eyes tiredly and Arthur scowled.

"When we finally found the spiders again, they led us into the forest and into an acromantula nest," they both paled again and Arthur sucked in a sharp breath.

"We spoke to the leader, well Violet and I did because Ron as you know is terrified of spiders and couldn't actually speak, and he told us that he was the beast Hagrid had as a youth and he wasn't from the chamber. He told us that whatever was in the Chamber was the one thing they feared above all and that the last time it was open, someone died in a bathroom," Harry and Violet shook their heads again, "Of course then he wasn't too happy about us leaving and set his family on us," Arthur began choking and if Molly's grip got any tighter on the armchair it would break.

"How did you get out?" Arthur asked in a deceptively calm voice.

"Your car, so it was actually a good idea that we took the car when the entrance to the platform closed at the beginning of the year," Violet explained. "Although, the car had turned wild roaming the forest," she mused.

"So the wild car rescued you?"

"Yeah, it came and pummelled the spiders, we jumped in and it took us to safety,"

"What did you even learn?" Arthur demanded angrily that Hagrid had sent children, his children into a forest with such dangerous animals.

"That Hagrid was innocent and it took us a while, but we wondered if the girl who died in the bathroom never left?" they frowned before Molly blinked.

"Surely you don't mean Moaning Myrtle?" she exclaimed in disbelief.

"Oh yes," Harry nodded, "By now we had escorts to lessons and I managed to trick Lockhart-,"

"That thing was a fraud," Percy announced, shocking his parents into silence with his language." Agreed," his sibling said shocking their parents even more. "I would demand a refund on all of those useless books," Violet mused.

"Oh Merlin, what was Dumbledore thinking, wait, he clearly wasn't thinking, your first two years clearly show that," Arthur shook his head and retook his seat.

"Well we tricked him only to be caught by McGonagall; I convinced her that we wanted to see Hermione which turned out to be a lifesaver. I spotted a sheet of paper in her hand and managed to get it free, it was a page on basilisks," Harry shuddered and their parents went pale again.

"We got an announcement that we had to go back to the common room and we discovered that Ginny had been taken into the chamber and another message left. They were going to close the school and Lockhart supposedly was going to save her, we decided to help him only to find him packing. Well, we weren't going to allow that, we dragged him to the second-floor bathroom where I found the entrance,"

"The entrance of the legendary Chamber of Secrets is in a girl's bathroom,"

"Yeah, that was Ron's reaction," Violet agreed, "After I asked it to open," Harry started, before beinging cut-off. "What do you mean asked?" Molly asked curiously and harry and Violet shifted, they didn't want to tell them that they could speak to snakes.

"We uh, well we're kinda a parcelmouth," they eyed their parents warily, a few emotions played out on their pale faces, shock, and confusion is the most prominent.

"We'll come back to how that's possible later, it doesn't matter anyway," Molly said and Harry and Violet breathed in relief.

"Ok, well we went in and Lockhart, the idiot, made the roof cave in when he tried to obliviate us with Ron's broken wand,"

"WHAT?"

"Yeah, but it separated us so me and Vi were left to go on alone," they lost all color at that thought and Harry swallowed hard before he continued.

"When we entered the main chamber we saw Ginny, she was just lying there still as death, cold as ice and we panicked. I put my wand down," Harry didn't think it was possible for anyone to lose more color until he said that he was then wandless. "Violet still had hers," and they regained a little color.

"We then came face to face with the 16-year-old Tom Riddle, he wasn't a ghost but he wasn't solid either, he said he was a memory," they exchanged worried glances and Harry swallowed.

"He explained how he had been possessing Ginny all year and made her open the chamber, he then said his next goal had become me and how Vi and I had survived when the 'great Lord Voldemort' had been destroyed,"

"Why did that matter to him? Voldemort was after his time," Harry and Violet grimaced.

"That's what we said but he just laughed and said Voldemort was his past, present, and future," they both looked as confused as she had been so Violet took out her wand and wrote Tom Marvolo Riddle in gold letters in front of her and then made them rearrange like Tom did that year into I am Lord Voldemort. The reaction was instant, they gasped and leaped up,

"That was Voldemort?"

"Yeah, as a teen,"

"What in Merlin's name?"

"It was weird,"

"But that's…" Arthur trailed off still unhealthily pale.

"Go on hunny,"

"It was then I realized he had my wand," they cringed, "Then he called the basilisk," Arthur actually whimpered.

"I was terrified and I can't remember exactly, but I remember saying Dumbledore was the greatest wizard in the world and Fawkes came to me with the sorting hat," Harry ignored their questioning looks, "The basilisk came and I ran with my eyes closed, while Vi hid behind a statue just behind Tom waiting for a good shot, Anyway, I remember it chasing me and then Fawkes blinded it, I could open my eyes, but I almost wish I didn't; it was massive." Harry shuddered, "Riddle was screaming at the snake to smell me out and I was praying for anything to help me, the hat landed in my lap and I threw it on, literally asking for anything. I somehow managed to call the Gryffindor sword to me and when the basilisk lunged for the kill I stabbed it through the roof of its mouth, unfortunately, one of the massive fangs ended up in my arm," Harry pulled up the sleeve of his jacket to show the scar, that had been too much for Molly and Arthur.

They both placed any kind of spell on their children so they would know what happened, the second it did.

Harry continued with the story.

"My vision was getting blurry and I knew I was dying, Riddle, the sick monster, was laughing and mocking me as Fawkes cries on the wound," Molly perked up.

"Fawkes is a phoenix," she said slowly before smiling in relief, "Healing powers," Harry and Violet nodded.

"Yeah, he healed me, but it was too late when Riddle realized so he resorted to trying to kill me with my own wand but Violet disarmed him," they tensed but quickly relaxed when they heard Violet saved her brother.

"I don't know what made me do it, but it seemed like the right thing to do, I grabbed the fang and stabbed the diary, Riddle screamed this terrible, agony filled scream and ink poured from the diary-like black blood, I kept stabbing until Riddle was gone and Ginny woke up. Fawkes took us back to safety and it was discovered that Lockhart had wiped his own memories and back in Dumbledore's office, after everything had been sorted, Malfoy turned up with the elf who had been warning me. He hinted that it was Malfoy that gave Ginny the diary and Vi tricked the ponce into freeing the elf, Madam Pomfrey brewed the mandrakes and everyone woke up and that's the end of that year," Arthur and Molly were silent as they contemplated.

"Dumbledore will be lucky to be headmaster after we're done with him," Molly announced shocking their children. The man may have made some terrible choices, but they didn't think their parents would go that far. It just goes to show that their parents would go to almost any length to protect their children. "I'm almost afraid to ask, but how bad was your childhood, because I know you both did not tell us everything," Arthur asked. His children shared a look, before taking a deep breath.

"Well, it hadn't been a happy childhood. It was a nightmare. We were left on the Dursley doorstep in the middle of the night after papa and mama were killed. From the time we were dropped off at that house, we were forced to sleep in a cupboard. I was forced to cook, clean, and garden from the time I could walk. Harry got the worst of it. He was beaten and still has the scars. That is why he never showers until after the quidditch showers clear, and the dorm showers clean. They tried to beat me, but for some reason, they couldn't. They always got this glazed look in their eyes, like they were spelled to forget about it. We weren't allowed to ask questions. When we started school, we were forced to hide our smarts so we wouldn't outshine their stupid son. That didn't stop us from learning everything we could. We were always at the library until it was closing time. We were verbally abused. We were called names and we were constantly being told we were worthless but we knew differently. We knew we were better than them both intellectually and in a human sense. We would never treat anyone, let alone a child that horribly. That is the gist of our childhood but we have the Potter family pensieve if you'd like to see everything our childhood consisted of," Violet explained knowing Harry wouldn't tell the complete truth about their childhood.

"We will be making sure they are put in jail for everything they did to you," Arthur vowed. "We have pictures that we took of each other, showing the abuse. Mine was more starvation and mental, than physical as you know. We took pictures of the cupboard, and we took pictures of the room that moved us too when we got our first letter from Hogwarts. We have the proof needed, also with the bank statements they got from the Potter family vault. Our account manager is working on getting that money back, as they got three hundred galleons a month for our care and upkeep," Violet explained.

"Truly devious little sis, little bro," Fred and George said smirking. "It was Harry's idea," Vi said smiling proudly at her brother, taking his hand in hers and resting her head on Ron's shoulder. Their family smiled as they looked at the three of them together. They knew Violet depended on them more than anyone else. "What would you like for dinner?" Molly asked when she saw what time it was. "Whatever is fine. Can we have strawberry cheesecake for dessert?" Violet asked with a dreamy look in her eye. "I think you're drooling, sister," Ginny joked making everyone laugh. They all knew that Violet loved anything with strawberries.

"Of course, dear," Molly said happily as she could finally make something special for her eldest daughter. They all spent the remainder of the night, getting to know each other, and having a good time.

Welcome home, Harry and Violet's family thought as they laid down for the night.
