Howdy, everyone! Guess who's back with part two of the Gold Ranger arc for this story?!
I can't tell you guys how excited I am for this. For the past few months, I've thought about how I would write the Gold, Silver, Purple and White rangers into the story and how they would develop and I gotta say… it was fun. Hopefully you guys find Edward's second chapter as entertaining as I do cause Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood(as well as the original series) are my top favorite anime of all time.
But enough about that. ONTO THE REVIEWS!
DB-20: Wow lol. Gotta go gold, my friend.
Omni warrior: Glad you like the choice of Edward. And we will get Isshin and the others soon, trust me.
Bloodyguy: Yeah. Jaden has the only decently normal hair of all the Yugioh protagonists.
Dragon Rider 66: I do plan on some Rangers getting an upgrade or two, and I think Ichigo is one of them. I'll definitely hear what you have to say.
JTWAS1994: Hahaha. Calm down, my friend. The hype train will not stop.
RHatch89: Thanks.
BanRedfox: Glad I hyped you up. I had plans for Edward joining for a long time, so writing it is fun. I have a few chapters dedicated to the former alchemist.
Zatil Hidayah Spensa: Well, I think it's good to bring in Edward post series since he can get even more development. And as for your rage… it is completely understandable. I will try to write longer chapters.
Straw Hat PiratesFan2021: Glad you're getting interested in the story. As for Wendy and Carla, I mentioned in the chapter that they returned to Lamia Scale since the Rangers don't need their help. Not to mention Natsu would wanna keep her safe.
GracefulArt: I didn't think of Edward's color that much. He has blonde hair, gold is like his hair. That's kinda it lol. His zord is… not what you will expect.
Wolfman: Kaicilious will have some very dark plans in the future. That's all I can say.
Guest: Hahaha. Glad you like it.
Farhan Nugraha: Never heard of them, so I can't add them.
ChronoDX: I do plan on Asta being A RANGER… but not in THIS story;)
Girithal: I'm not adding a Jojo character in this story.
Rj136058: I already have all the other Rangers picked out, sorry. But Giyu would've been a good choice, though.
To recap: The Rangers were enjoying some much needed downtime, though it was cut short when Vektor sensed one of the Dimension Crystals choosing its next wielder. Meanwhile, the Apocalypse was given a surprise visit by Oblivion's strongest general, Kaicilious. After revealing new Crekors by the name of Ravagers, Kaicilious agreed to help find the next Dimension Crystal. Once the Rangers arrived on the planet where the Dimension Crystal was, they discovered that the planet wasn't as advanced as their previous worlds and they decided to split up, only for Oblivion's forces to attack. The Elric brothers, Edward and Alphonse, attempted to help fight off the invaders and it was soon revealed that the former was the holder of the gold crystal.
Will the Rangers be able to convince Edward to join? Or will Kaicilious succeed? Let's find out…
'Flashback, one day earlier'
Edward Elric was at peace for once in a while. He had finished working on the repairs on the house, fed the dog, and got some exercise before 12 o' clock.
Now, he was just lying on the grass, eyes closed and hands behind his head, enjoying the warmth of the sun.
Yup. Nothing could ruin his day…
"EDWARD ELRIC, GET YOU BUTT IN HERE NOW!"
Of course… he had to jinx it.
'Well. Better get inside.' Edward thought as he stood up from the grass, dusting himself to look somewhat decent. Jogging to the house of his childhood friend(and secret crush), Edward turned the knob…
*Ding*
"AHHHH!"
And got hit in the head by a flying wrench, causing him to fall on his back. He quickly sat up and held his head, covering his new bruise. "Winry! What the hell was that for?!"
"For not showing up on time, you idiot!" The attacker was a young, blonde girl with long hair tied in a ponytail, blue eyes, several earrings and was wearing what looked like an engineer's outfit. Winry Rockbell, Edward and Alphonse's childhood friend, was giving the former a glare. "You realize how many times I was calling you? And you have to stop sleeping outside! Who knows what you'll catch!"
"I'd probably die of blood loss before I catch a cold!" Edward shouted back as he and Winry glared at one another.
"Come on, you guys. No need to fight again." Alphonse asked with a nervous smile from the table, a bit worried that their argument might go a bit far.
"Let them be, Al. That's just how stubborn they are." Sitting across from Alphonse was a short, elderly woman with gray hair tied upwards. This was Pinako Rockbell, grandmother to Winry and the guardian of the Elric brothers. She calmly drank her tea before glancing at the argument. "Anyways Winry, don't you have something to tell Edward?"
"Oh right. I almost forgot." Winry dropped her glare and gave Edward a smile. "Mr. Garfiel said he sent some tools for me and I'd like you two to get it."
"There's also a few other things I'd like from Central." Pinako took out a list and handed it to Alphonse, who took it.
"Sure. I don't see why not. It'd be great to see Colonel Mustang and the others again." Alphonse admitted with a smile at the thought of seeing their friends.
"Is that all? Nothing else?" Edward asked with a raised brow, only for Winry to shake her head. "Alright. If we're gonna get the things, we'd better get on the next train, Al."
"Right!" Alphonse quickly finished his tea and stood up. "Thank you for the tea, granny."
"And don't forget a single thing, alright? I'll have another apple pie ready for you two when you get back." Winry told the brothers with a wink, knowing that they liked her pies.
"Yeah, yeah. You don't need to bribe us." Edward waved her off, though he did smile a bit. However, as he went over to grab his coat, he noticed Den, Winry's loyal dog, was chewing on something that looked rather… odd. Narrowing his eyes, the eldest Elric brother discovered that what Den was chewing on was a yellow rock. "Den, no. You can't chew rocks anymore." Edward walked over to the dog and lifted his chin, getting a better look at the rock. Den didn't seem to like it as he turned away, chewing the rock to his heart's content. "Give it here."
"What's wrong, brother?" Alphonse asked and he, Winry and Pinako noticed Edward was trying to take the rock from Den's mouth.
"Den's got something and I'm trying to… take… it… away!" Edward got a hold of the rock and pulled…
*Boom*
… Only for a burst of energy to suddenly course through Edward's body, causing him to gasp. Den felt this and yelped, running behind Winry out of fear. "Woah…"
"What's wrong?" Alphonse asked in concern as Edward fell on one knee.
"I… I don't… I don't know." Edward opened his hand and found the strange rock in his palm. For some reason, he felt… a little stronger now that he had a hold of this rock. "It's a crystal, I think."
"Wow. It's beautiful." Winry said in awe as she looked over Edward's shoulder to look at the crystal. "Wonder where Den found it."
"No clue. But it's definitely not normal." Edward concluded before he closed his hand, pocketing the crystal. "I'll hold onto it for now. Maybe someone in Central knows about this."
But little did Edward know, the crystal he found would lead him to a new adventure… and new danger.
'Flashback end'
Edward Elric reached down and picked up the gold Dimension Crystal, giving Longshot a serious glare.
"Spike… was that what I think it was?" Natsu asked the Green Ranger while eyeing Edward.
"This guy's another Ranger." Spike realized, surprised to find the crystal holder so early. It took the others a while to find him, but they found Edward in less than an hour.
"Well, well. It's my lucky day." Longshot confessed with a chuckle as he reloaded his gauntlets, ready to fight the new crystal holder. "Not only do I get to knock around some Rangers, but I also get to bring the boss the new crystal. Thanks, Rangers."
"Crystal? Rangers?" Edward asked, confused by the entire situation. It was clear that these guys knew about what the Crystal was, but what did he have to do with it? He was brought out of his thoughts when Longshot aimed his wrist guns at him. However, Spike quickly moved in and swiped Edward's legs just as Longshot fired, his bullets hitting the wall instead.
"Stay down!" Spike ordered Edward as he and Natsu rushed Longshot, engaging in close combat.
"Brother! Are you okay?" Alphonse quickly rushed to his older brother's side, helping him stand up.
"Yeah… I'm fine." Edward looked down at his hand, staring at the crystal before glancing over to Natsu and Spike. 'So these guys are trying to protect me cause I have this crystal. And the giant guy in armor wants it. And they call themselves 'Power Rangers.' What does it all mean?'
"RAGH!" Longshot punched Spike in the stomach, sending the bounty hunter flying to the ground.
"Fire Dragon Talon!" Natsu delivered an axe kick onto Longshot's head, causing him to kneel down. "And Fire Dragon Iron Fist!" He then uppercutted Longshot as hard as he could, causing him to fall on the ground. "Even without my crystal, I can still kick your butt!"
However, Natsu's small moment of victory was cut short when the sound of motorcycles driving towards him. Turning his head, Natsu's eyes widened as he saw several Crekors driving towards him and the group on their new vehicles.
"You've gotta be shitting me!" Spike called out, shocked to see the Crekors in their new rides. The Crekors in question noticed the Green Ranger and immediately began to open fire on them.
"Get back!" Alphonse quickly took action and clapped his hands together, slamming them on the ground. Soon, a large stone wall formed in front of Spike, protecting him from the Crekor's attack.
"Nice save, kid." Spike complimented before he looked at Edward. "Come with us."
"Why should I?" Edward asked suspiciously. These guys may have saved him and Al, but they never explained who they were or what their goals were.
"No time!" Natsu quickly ran over to Edward and hoisted him over his shoulder, much to the blonde male's shock.
"HEY! PUT ME DOWN!" Edward shouted, though Natsu ignored him.
"Come with us, too. We'll keep you and everyone else safe." Natsu quickly told Alphonse, who reluctantly nodded before the three began to run off. All while Edward was trying to break free of Natsu's grip.
Longshot let out a grunt as he picked himself up, looking over to the direction of Edward's voice. He then pressed the side of his head to activate his communicator. "Kaicilious, I found the Gold Crystal."
"Good. Follow them. I'm currently hunting for Vektor." Kaicilious responded from the other side of the comm.
'With Yang and Rias'
"Everyone, get back! Take shelter!"
"Incoming fire!"
"What are thes-AHHH!" A Central officer couldn't finish his words as he was shot in the torso by a stray laser bolt, killing him instantly. The attack on Central was a lot larger than one expected, with panic ensuing in the streets. Even the military tanks were only able to slow down the assault as the Crekors continued to march.
*BANG*BANG*BANG*
Luckily, three Crekors fell due to several shots being fired from behind, courtesy of a certain blonde brawler of the Dimension Rangers.
"Glad I decided to bring the girls along." Yang said to herself as she smiled at the Ember Celica. It had been a while since she used them due to being a Ranger, so using them now felt right.
"HAAA!" Rias summoned a large red magic circle before firing a barrage of bullet-sized magic shots, destroying several Crekors that were chasing the citizens. "That should be the last of them."
"Damn. I was just getting hyped." Yang half jokingly said before she looked over the destruction. "Still, this is a new low, even for them."
"We need to make sure no more people die." Rias told Yang with a serious tone, not wanting to see anymore bloodshed. However, Rias felt the hair in the back of her neck stand up before she widened her eyes. "LOOK OUT!" Rias quickly made a magic circle around Yang just as a pair of energy whips were about to strike her.
"You're fast without your powers, Pink Ranger." Standing a few feet away was Kyra, her energy whips dragging on the ground. "But why haven't you morphed yet? It's strange."
"Maybe we just don't need to morph to kick your ugly butt!" Yang declared before Rias dropped the circle, allowing her to fire shots from Ember Celica. Kyra quickly used her whips to block each shot before throwing one towards Yang, wrapping it around her left gauntlet.
"Ugly?! You should look in the mirror yourself, Yellow Ranger!" Kyra shouted before she pulled Yang forward, causing her to fall to the ground. Just as Kyra was about to stomp on Yang's head, Rias quickly flew towards her and tackled her, sending her into a fruit stand.
"Are you okay?" Rias asked as she helped Yang up.
"Yeah." Yang looked at her left gauntlet and frowned at the new burn marks. "Great. Just when I decide to use them again, she breaks it."
"Ask Kaldon to fix it. Maybe he can even-" Rias moved to the right just as Kyra threw a knife towards her, cutting off a bit of her hair.
"You two really are annoying." Kyra growled as she stood up, tossing the watermelon that was on her head away. "I'm going to enjoy tearing you apart!" Kyra, Yang and Rias then rushed one another before engaging in hand to hand combat. Yang, being the more experienced fighter, was throwing jab after jab. Though, each one was being blocked or dodged by Kyra while Rias tried her best to support Yang. Kyra found an opening when Rias threw a kick, allowing her to duck and driving her right foot into the devil's stomach. Rias gasped in pain while Kyra pushed back out of Yang's punches before she threw the blonde over her shoulder, onto the ground. "This is pathetic. You were much more of a worthy opponent when you had your Ranger powers. But now, you're trash."
"Say that again, you psycho bi-!"
*WOOSH*
Yang wasn't able to finish her curse as an object was suddenly shot towards Kyra, striking her hard in the stomach and sending her to the ground.
"Nice one, red." Yang complimented as she glanced at Rias, who was still on one knee.
"That wasn't me." Rias admitted before she and Yang looked back.
"Are you ladies alright?" Standing proudly a few feet away with a very tall man with blue eyes, a blonde mustache and a single lock of curly hair standing on top of his overall bald head. He wore the same blue uniform as all the other soldiers, though he wore a pair of metal gauntlets that seem to have a strange symbol on them.
"Ummm… yeah? Thanks for the assist." Yang told the man, rather surprised by his rather hulking physique.
"You need to get out of here. It isn't safe." Rias quickly told him as she was concerned that Kyra wasn't down.
"I should be telling you ladies this. The entire city is under attack, so it isn't safe for anyone." The tall man told them in a serious, yet surprisingly gentle tone. "Please, allow me to escort you."
"But-" Rias wasn't able to finish as she and the others heard something behind them.
"You… you…" Kyra stood up from the ground, wiping away the dirt on her face. "HOW DARE YOU THROW A HUNK OF STEEL AT ME?!"
"Steel? Hmmm." The tall man scoffed as he walked forward. "What you experienced is a technique passed down the Armstrong family for generations!" Then, without warning, the man took out his shirt, revealing his rather muscular body. "I, Alexander Louis Armstrong, will show you the power of Strong Arm Alchemy!" He then finished his rant by flexing his muscles, his pecs moving up and down.
"... Did he really need to take off his shirt?" Rias couldn't help but ask Yang, feeling rather awkward about the large, shirtless man in front of her.
"I don't know. I like his spirit." Yang admitted with a smirk.
"Strong Arm Alchemy? Interesting. But…" Kyra then threw out three knives in each hand. "You won't be flexing for long!" With that, she threw her knives towards the trio in front of her.
"Mister Armstrong, get behind me!" Rias told him before extending her hands forward, creating a large magic circle shield, which blocked Kyra's knives.
"What in the world?" Armstrong muttered in shock. This wasn't like any Alchemy he had ever seen. And the fact the girl didn't even need to clap her hands together suggested something more than he wasn't getting.
"Hey, Kyra! Take this!" Yang called out before she loaded her Ember Celica with orange Dust rounds, firing a barrage of explosive shots. Kyra expertly cartwheeled away, allowing Yang's shots to explode on the ground.
"Are those high caliber bullets? And what kind of firearm is that?" Armstrong questioned loudly, unable to understand this.
"We can explain later." Rias quickly told him. "For now, you need to get out of here. She's too much for an ordinary person."
"And leave two young ladies to fight? NONSENSE! An Armstrong never leaves the innocent to die!" Armstrong declared before he stood next to Rias in a boxing stance. "We shall hold our talk for another time. Let us fight together, miss…"
"Gremory." Rias responded with a small smile. As much as she didn't want to involve anymore humans, it was clear this man wasn't simply going to let her and Yang fight alone. Besides, from what she could gather, he wasn't a normal human, either.
"GO!" With that, both Rias and Armstrong rushed over to fight with Yang.
'With Ichigo and Vektor'
"Over here!" Ichigo quickly told Vektor as he and his alien mentor quickly hit in an alleyway, trying their best to hide.
"Ichigo, I don't think this is the best place to hide." Vektor admitted to the Black Ranger as he glanced around the corner, trying to find Kaicilious.
"Probably. But without my morpher, I'm pretty much useless in combat." Ichigo begrudgingly admitted while clenching his fist. "We have to hold out until Yusei and Kaldon can fix them."
"Hiding again, Vektor?!" One of the old cars nearby was cut in half, courtesy of Kaicilious' sword. The new general walked forward while looking around, trying to find his enemy. "Of course, I shouldn't expect anything else from you. After all, you and that pathetic droid hid from us for a year. I'm surprised you remained sane after hearing his babble."
'This guy's trying to provoke us.' Ichigo thought with narrowed eyes.
"And entrusting something as powerful as the Dimension Crystals to humans? That just shows how weak minded your people were." Kaicilious offhandedly said as he looked under another car before slicing it in half. "Those humans aren't any better. They die quite easily, so how long do you expect them to fight? A year? A few months? Some have powers, but others, like your Black Ranger, have none. I can't wait to crush him first."
"Ichigo, don't." Vektor whispered as he noticed the intensity of Ichigo's glare.
"Perhaps I should look into who they are, their home, their family. I could learn much from interrogation." Kaicilious gloated as he waited to see movement.
However, he was surprised when a rock suddenly hit his leg, prompting him to turn around.
"L-Leave us alone!" A young boy, who was dressed in ragged clothes, shouted while holding a rock in his shaking hand.
"Eugene, no!" A slightly older boy called out from behind a fallen car, wanting to save his friend.
"Oh? What do we have here?" Kaicilious turned towards the child, a dark smile on his face as he dragged his sword on the ground. "What will you do, Vektor? Will you let this child die to protect yourself? Or will you come out of hiding and sacrifice yourself? What to do, what to do?" Slowly, Kaicilious moved closer and closer to the boy, who had fearly tears running down his cheeks.
"S-Stay back! Stay back!" The boy threw another rock, only for the alien to tilt his head to dodge.
"DON-" Just as Ichigo moved out of his hiding spot…
*Snap*
A torrent of flames were suddenly shot towards Kaicilious, engulfing him completely. "What the hell?!" Ichigo shouted with wide eyes, not expecting such an attack. He thought it might have been Natsu who launched the attack.
But that wasn't the case.
"Secure the children, Hawkeye! We need them to head towards the shelter!"
"Yes colonel." Standing a few feet away from the burning were two people, both wearing the same military clothes as the others. The first was a man with spiky black hair and sharp black eyes while the other was a blonde woman that had hair that resembled a hawk's wing held on with a hairpin holding it on one side. Next to them were two other officers, each with rifles in hand.
'The military?' Ichigo thought in surprise. Then again, it would make sense for the military to gather their forces once they identified the threat.
"What are you doing here? Get to safety!" One of the officers shouted at Ichigo, snapping him out of his trance.
"You gotta get out of here!" Ichigo shouted at them, making the man with spiky black hair raise a brow.
"Why's that?" The man asked with narrowed eyes.
"Because of this!" Suddenly, Kaicilious' blade shot out of the flames, piercing through one of the officers and lifting him in the air. The man coughed up blood as he attempted to grab the blade, only for the weapon to slam him hard on the ground, snapping his neck. Everyone watched as the blade went back to Kaicilious, who walked away from the flames with nothing more than a slight scratch.
'He survived the Colonel's flames?' The blonde woman known as Hawkeye thought as she aimed her gun at the general of Oblivion.
"I would lower your weapons if I were you. Those slug throwers will barely leave a scratch on me." Kaicilious arrogantly told the humans.
"Stay back! You're under arrest!" The other soldier foolishly told Kaicilious as he aimed his gun at the general's head. Seeing as the monster wasn't listening, the soldier fired his gun, only for the bullet to bounce of Kaicilious like it was nothing. "I-Impossible!"
"Get back!" Mustang shouted, only for it to be a second late as Kaicilious swiftly beheaded the soldier, his body falling a moment later.
"Humans are such easy targets. But you…" Kaicilious looked at Mustang with a hint of interest. "Those flames were… curious. Explain them to-"
*Snap*
Mustang's response was a simple snap of his fingers, causing another burst of flames to hit Kaicilious. "How do you like my flames now, you bastard?!" Mustang shouted, only for his flames to be cut in half.
"Will you stop that?" This time, Kaicilious sounded rather annoyed. Not because it hurt, but because he just kept doing it.
"You want me, I'm right here!" Ichigo stepped into the middle of the street, a determined look on his face.
"Ichigo, no…" Vektor whispered with gritted teeth, not wanting one of his Rangers to confront someone like Kaicilious.
"Ahhh. Finally decided to come out, have we? You're much braver than that idiot Vektor, I will admit." Kaicilious told Ichigo as he started to walk towards him.
"Get away! You're not safe!" Mustang shouted at Ichigo, only for Kaicilious to launch an energy slash at them, sending the two humans flying back.
"Now, how shall I kill you? Should I start with your hands? Your legs? If I cut out your tongue, I wouldn't be able to hear you scream." Kaicilious listed off the things he could do to Ichigo with a menacing tone.
"What? You can't fight me when I'm morphed? You're nothing like Demolition. At least he has honor." Ichigo told Kaicilious, only for the general to move faster than he could see, his neck being grabbed.
"You speak of my student as if you know him. That is a mistake." Kaicilious warned Ichigo as he started to cough the Black Ranger, causing him to gasp as he was lifted up. "He told me that you were the one who broke his sword, a sword I worked hard to find for him. To see someone as strong as him being defeated by a human like you is an insult to my teaching. I will make you suffer, slowly and painfully!"
"KAICILIOUS!" An energy blast hit Kaicilious in the stomach, causing him to release Ichigo as he slid back. Vektor emerged from his hiding spot, his disguise dropped and his eyes filled with anger. "You will NEVER harm any of my Rangers."
"We'll see about that, Celestial." Kaicilious drew his second sword, this one's blade being red. Without saying another word, Kaicilious rushed towards Vektor, who blocked one of his swords with his staff. However, the general slammed his red sword on top of his purple one, slowly forcing it down to Vektor.
"HAAA!" Ichigo ran behind Kaicilious and smashed a brick onto his back, though it only irritated him. Letting out an annoyed growl, Kaicilious swung his sword at Ichigo, who dodged it by mere inches, though the force of the slash did push him away. Vektor used this opportunity to lower one of Kaicilious' blades down with his staff before he smacked the general's right leg. Kneeling down, Kaicilious quickly used his red blade to block another of Vektor's staff swings before he swung his other blade, barely grazing Vektor's nose.
"You waste the power of the Dimension Crystals. And for what? Peace? Harmony? Those are simple lies!" Kaicilious began to slash at Vektor, who desperately blocked each sword, though it was clear Kaiciious was overpowering him. With one more slash, Kaicilious knocked the staff out of Vektor's hands. "Oblivion's obsession with you is unbearable!" Kaicilious slashes Vektor's chest, causing blood to spill out of it as the Celestial held his wound. Slashing Vektor's right arm, Kaicilious watched as Vektor kneeled down. Putting both swords away, Kaicilious resorted to punishing Vektor with his own hands. He slammed his right fist into Vektor's left cheek, then his right, then his left again. Each punch made Vektor groan in pain as he tried to block them. "It would be better if you died!" Reaching out to grab Vektor's neck, Kaicilious lifted him up the ground before slamming him in the concrete, making him cough blood.
"VEKTOR!" Ichigo rushed in to help, only for Kaicilious to draw his sword and launch an energy slash, hitting the ground with a shockwave that sent Ichigo flying into a car.
"I will do what Oblivion couldn't." Kaicilious then began to choke Vektor with his left hand, causing the Celestial to gasp for air. He even attempted to grab Kaicilious' helmet, only for it to do nothing.
'Do something… do something!' Vektor thought as he started to feel the air in his lungs leave his body. He could see his staff close by, but since he was out of reach of it, he couldn't do anything. Plus, the more Kaicilious coughed him, the more he started to lose consciousness. 'Anyone… please… save… Ichigo… and… the others…' Slowly, Vektor saw his vision get blurry as the last of his air left his body…
"FIRE DRAGON ROAR!" Just as Vektor was about to lose consciousness, a torrent of flames struck Kaicilious, sending him flying back and away from the Celestial. Due to his loss of air, Vektor barely felt a pair of arms lift him up.
"Vektor… okay?" Looking to his right, he saw that one of the people carrying him was a morphed Spike, though he wasn't able to hear his full sentence.
"Who is this?" The other person was none other than Alphonse, who was helping Spike pick up Vektor.
"No time!" Natsu got in a fighting stance as he glared at Kaicilious, who began to stand up while patting away his flames.
"Okay… I admit that one hurt." Kaicilious begrudgingly admitted while giving Natsu a heated glare. "From what Static told me… you are the Red Dimension Ranger and the other one is the Green Ranger."
"Mustang! Hawkeye!" Edward rushed over to the other human soldiers, who began to regain consciousness after Kaicilious' attack.
"Elric? What are you doing here?" Mustang questioned the blonde male as he helped him and Hawkeye stand up,
"Long story. But apparently, these guys are the Power Rangers and they were looking for this." Edward explained as he took out his crystal.
"Where do you get this?" Hawkeye asked with narrowed eyes.
"No time!" Spike shouted as he took out his Wolf Blaster and started firing at Kaicilious, who started to block each shot with his swords. "Grab Kurosaki and let's get out of here!"
"I don't think so!" Kaicilious told them before he pressed his communicator with one hand. "All Crekor units, move in on my position! The Gold Dimension Crystal and Green Dimension Crystal are here!"
"Oh no…" Alphonse muttered as he could hear the sound of motorcycles driving in the distance.
'Dammit! We can't fight this guy AND protect Vektor and Ichigo.' Natsu thought with gritted teeth, trying to think of a good plan. However, he noticed Vektor started to speak, though his voice was rather low due to the blood.
"Sta… Staf…" Vektor let out while coughing.
"What was that?" Alphonse asked in confusion.
"Staf… Staff…" Vektor finally said, referring to his magic staff.
"Natsu, staff!" Spike shouted at the Dragon Slayer, who widened his eyes as he noticed said item close to his feet. Quickly running in, Natsu grabbed the staff, though he had to jump back as Kaicilious tried to slash at him.
"Here!" Natsu tossed the staff towards Vektor, only for Alphonse to catch it as he gave it to the wounded Celestial.
"Urusha… minasite…" Vektor began to chant as the stone of his staff began to glow a bit, making Kaicilious and the residents of this world widen their eyes.
"What's going on?!" Edward asked, observing the light.
"Don't you dare!" Knowing what Vektor was about to do, Kaicilious began to run towards him, ready to finish the job Oblivion and the others failed to do.
*Snap*
For the third time in a row, Mustang snapped his fingers as he struck Kaicilious, only this time, his flames were much larger.
"Whatever you're doing, do it now!" Mustang practically ordered before he clapped his hands and slammed them on the ground. A second later, a large stone wall appeared between Kaicilious and the others. "Alphonse, make another wall!"
"Got it!" Listening to Mustang's orders, Alphonse gave Vektor to Spike before he slammed his hands on the ground, creating a second wall behind Mustang's. He then did it again behind the Colonel and his subordinate in order to ensure the Crekors wouldn't come.
"Utisi… Eintralle… ORANU!" Finishing his chant, Vektor poured all the energy he had into his staff before he slammed it on the ground. Soon, everyone around him, apart from Kaicilious, began to glow a bright light.
"What's going-" Before Natsu could finish his words, he and the others disappeared, leaving no trace of them ever being there.
Elsewhere, Rias and Yang were also glowing just as Kyra kicked Armstrong back, his head bleeding mildly.
"Ladies, what's happening? Why are you glowing?" Armstrong questioned with a surprised tone.
"No clue. Red, do you think it's Vektor or something?" Yang asked Rias, who looked at her glowing hands.
"I think so. Maybe he's trying to take us back to the Legacy." Rias theorized before she looked at Armstrong. He was a kind man who was willing to fight with them, so it wouldn't feel right to simply disappear while he stayed and fought Kyra. Thinking quickly, Rias rushed towards Armstrong and grabbed his arm, much to his and Yang's shock.
"Rias?" Yang questioned.
"We can't leave him." Rias quickly responded as she looked at Armstrong. "This may feel… strange."
"Strange?" Armstrong asked before he too started to glow.
"What are you doing?!" Kyra asked before she threw three knives towards the trio. However, just as her blades were about to stab them… they disappeared, allowing the blades to strike the wall. "DAMN!"
"RRRAAAAHHHHH!" The two walls Mustang and Alphonse created were slashed, causing them to break apart as Kaicilious walked forward, only to see everyone was gone. "No… No…" Clenching his blades tightly, Kaicilious sliced through a nearby building, causing it to crumble away. "NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOO!"
'The Legacy'
"Ohhhh… I hope everyone's okay, Ni-Ni." Kaldon muttered to himself worriedly as he fiddled with Ichigo's Morpher, though given his current mood, he wasn't getting much done.
"Kaldon, we have to focus." Yusei reminded him as he just finished putting in the top of Rias' Morpher. The two of them had been working on repairing the Morphers for some time, and while they had faced some problems here and there, thanks to the help of Neo, they were finally ready to put the finishing touches.
"How can I, Ni-Ni? The others are on a new world that has no technology were can access, they have no Morphers and now they're facing off against the Crekors while they ride motorcycles, Ni-Ni!" Kaldon shouted dramatically as he accidentally threw his screwdriver in the air, only for Yusei to quickly catch it.
"That's exactly why we HAVE to stay focused." Yusei answered with a comforting tone as he placed a hand on the robot's shoulder. "I'm worried about them too. But if we don't finish these Morphers, then they'll be in even more danger. Plus… if something happens…" The Signer unconsciously tightened his grip a little. "Then we'll be the last line of defense against Oblivion."
"I hope that doesn't happen, Ni-Ni. There's no way I can handle that much pressure, Ni-Ni." Kaldon whimpered before he calmed down. "But you do have a point, Ni-Ni. We need to finish, Ni-Ni."
"Good." A smile grew on Yusei's face as he patted the robot one last time before he went back to work. Truth be told, he also didn't want to be left alone to fend on the entirety of the Crekor army, especially if it meant he would lose all the people he had grown close to.
"Yusei! Kaldon! Everyone came back!" Neo suddenly told the duo from one of the monitors. "They're in the infirmary! Vektor and Ichigo got hurt real bad!"
"Come on." Yusei told Kaldon as the two dropped what they were doing and rushed towards the infirmary. Once they reached the room, Yusei and Kaldon caught sight of something they didn't expect.
"Owww… my head…" Edward groaned as he laid on the ground, rubbing the right side of his head, indicating that he hit it on something. Everyone else began to gather their bearings as they stood up.
"Jeez, Vektor. Next time, maybe give us a warning if you're gon-" Yang was about to finish her words when she opened her eyes, only to see Vektor on his knees, coughing some blood in his hand.
"Vektor!" Rias and Yang quickly rushed to their mentor's aid, helping him to one of the infirmary beds.
"Don't forget Ichigo." Natsu reminded them as he helped the former Substitute Soul Reaper stand up, with said person groaning in pain.
"Thanks… Natsu…" Ichigo muttered as Natsu helped him to one of the beds.
"Where are we?" Mustang asked as he and Hawkeye stood up, noticing the change in their environment.
"I have no idea. It's so… different." Alphonse admitted as he looked at one of the heart rate monitors in confusion and curiosity.
"Alphonse Elric?! Edward?!" The two brothers turned around and gasped as they saw Armstrong looking at them with a surprised expression.
"Armstrong?!" The two brothers blurted out in unison.
"Armstrong?" Hawkeye asked in mild surprise.
"Colonel! Lieutenant!" Armstrong yelled in shock, not expecting to find the other two as well.
"Okay, let's take a damn minute before someone yells another name." Spike told everyone with an annoyed tone.
"What happened, Ni-NI?! And why is Vektor bleeding, Ni-Ni?!" Kaldon questioned the Rangers as he rushed over to Vektor's side.
"There was… a new general…" Ichigo answered the group. "Vektor… called him… Kaicilious…"
"KAICILIOUS IS HERE, NI-NI?! THIS IS BAAAAAAAADDDDDDDD, NI-NI!" Kaldon then started to panic as he paced around, muttering things like 'doom' and 'we won't have the power to stop him.'
"HEY!" Edward suddenly shouted with an irritated tone, getting everyone's attention. "Look, we have no idea why we're here and you keep talking about 'Kaicilious' and whatever! Tell us what's happening and why this!" Edward took out his crystal. "Is so damn important!"
'So he's the one who found the crystal.' Yusei thought before speaking up. "... I guess it wouldn't hurt to tell you." Yusei sighed as he crossed his arms, looking at the new arrivals. "Follow me. I'll take you to the dining hall. That's where we can explain everything."
"Fine. But don't skip ANY details." Mustang warned the Signer with a glare before he, Hawkeye, Armstrong and the Elrics followed him out of the infirmary.
"This is so crazy! Now we have ANOTHER general to stop!" Natsu punched the wall in frustration. "We should've stayed close to them!"
"Natsu, don't blame yourself. We all agreed to split up." Rias told the Dragon Slayer in a comforting tone. "For now, let's let Kaldon focus on helping Vektor and Ichigo while we talk to everyone else."
"Yeah. I need a sandwich." Yang offhandedly said before she walked out of the infirmary, clearly as irritated as Natsu was at what happened.
At the moment, the Rangers felt another wave of defeat.
'The Apocalypse, sometime later'
"... And that's what happened." Kaicilious finished his report to Oblivion, who stood a few feet in front of him, gazing at the planet below with his hands behind his back.
"Hmmm. I see." Oblivion simply said without turning around. "So, not only did you fail to stop Vektor, but you also failed to capture the Gold Crystal. This is… disappointing, even for you, Kaicilious."
"It was our fault too, boss." Longshot admitted with his head down in frustration. "If I didn't let the two take the crystal, we would've had it a long time ago."
"And I shouldn't have toyed with the Pink and Yellow Rangers." Kyra added in while holding Longshot's hand, willing to take punishment with her lover.
"No matter. They will come out soon enough." Oblivion told the generals as he turned around. "Do you know why?"
"Because… they want a rematch?" Longshot answered sketically.
"Because they haven't stopped us." Kaiclilous replied while giving Longshot an annoyed look, though this was unseen due to his helmet. "Oblivion, if we were to rally everyone: men, women and children, we can use them as leverage. The Power Rangers would never allow them to be harmed. And when they come out, we can destroy them."
"Out of the question." Oblivion immediately shot down, much to Kaicilious' shock.
"W-What? Why?" Kaicilious questioned as he stood up.
"Because using children as hostages goes against my beliefs." Oblivion answered simply.
"Yet, you have two children in the hold! How is this different?!" Kaicilious shouted, referring to Leo and Luna.
"Because they have a connection to the Blue Ranger. That is why." Oblivion stated as he turned to glare at his friend. "However, I never put them through any of Static's interrogation methods. Even the other humans have not been dissected because they are still young… apart from the red haired man and his wife."
"They are surprisingly resilient, though that is to be expected from a pair of devils." Static commented as he looked up from his pad.
"Even so, you have the opportunity to use them, yet you keep them in cells! How do you expect to win by playing on even grounds?! How do you expect to end Vektor? How do you expect to revive your p-"
"KAICILIOUS." Oblivion suddenly spoke in a deep, dark tone as he started to walk up to Kaicilious, a dark aura surrounding him as his red eyes glowed. "One more word and I will rip off your arm." The generals and even the Crekors stopped to watch how everything was unfolding.
"Oblivion… no, Malvon." Kaicilious spoke up, this time using Oblivion's real name as he removed his helmet, glaring angrily at his friend. "Nothing will change if you continue to act honorably. Sometimes, you must become a demon before you are reborn."
"And you speak from experience?" Oblivion asked as Kaicilious took a step forward.
"I want to help you. But if you continue to stay on this course, then I will leave." Kaicilious warned, a tone as hard as his sword. Both men glared at each other, neither standing down.
"D-Dear. Maybe you should sit down…" Vila suggested as she reached out for Oblivion, only for Kyra to quickly stop her.
"I don't think even you could stop him." Kyra quickly told her out of concern. The others simply watched, waiting for a response.
After a few minutes of glaring, Kaicilious eventually sighed as he backed off. "Fine. We won't use the children as hostages." He begrudgingly said, much to Oblivion's satisfaction. "But we do need to find a way to draw them out."
"Destroy some buildings. Ensure no one is inside. That will draw them out." Oblivion ordered before he turned back to watch the planet. Kaicilious let out a sigh from his nose, his hand a mere inch from his sword.
'No… not now. Not when they are here.' Was all Kaicilious thought before he stormed out of the bridge, leaving the generals to ponder at what they saw.
'Back in the Legacy'
"Okay… so all of you are 'Power Rangers' who are tasked with defending the… multiverse, am I right?" Mustang questioned as he sat across from the Rangers, with Hawkeye and Armstrong standing beside him. The Elric brothers decided to sit at another table, eating some of the food the Rangers provided.
"Man, this stuff is good." Edward confessed as he ate a slice of pepperoni and mushroom pizza.
"I know right? Pizzas are pretty good. Though, I would've gone with the meat lover pizza." Yang told him with a smirk.
"That's right. And our duty is to not only protect the innocent, but to also gather the remaining Dimension Crystals, which are these." Rias explained as she showed them her crystal. Since she was the more sophisticated person on the ship besides Vektor, it only seemed right that she would be the one Mustang spoke with. "My name is Rias Gremory. The others are Natsu Dragneel, Yusei Fudo, Yang Xiao Long and Spike Spiegel. The one with orange hair you met is Ichigo Kurosaki and the man who was injured is Vektor, a Celestial."
"And what is a Celestial, if you don't mind me asking?" Mustang asked while cupping his hands together, resting his chin on them.
"Oh, he's an alien." Natsu bluntly told him, much to the Amestrian's shock.
"Wait… alien?" Alphonse asked with a confused tone. "What's that?"
"Hmmm, I guess since you don't use any advanced technology, you don't know about space." Yusei theorized with a hand under his chin. "Basically, we're on a spaceship called the Legacy, which acts as our mode of transportation between universes. Each of us are from different universes, which is why we're… different."
"That would explain how he can use flames from his mouth and hands." Edward said out loud, remembering how Natsu fought Longshot. "Thanks for that, by the way."
"No problem… ummm…" Natsu and the others realized they didn't know their visitors' names.
"Colonel Roy Mustang, though I am getting a promotion soon." Mustang introduced himself. "My lieutenant is Riza Hawkeye." Said woman gave the Rangers a nod. "On my right is Major Alex Louis Armstrong."
"A pleasure, Rangers." Armstrong greeted the Rangers while giving them a small bow.
"My name's Alphonse Elric and this is my big brother, Edward." Alphonse introduced himself politely.
"Big brother? And here I thought you were the older one." Yang pointed out, seeing as Alphonse looked a bit older.
"He's not. And don't say it's cause I'm short." Edward growled in annoyance, making Yang throw up her hands in fake surrender.
"Back to everything: what will you do now that Elric has the crystal?" Mustang questioned in a serious tone.
"Well, we would offer him the chance to join us as the Gold Dimension Ranger, given his color." Rias revealed, making Edward widen his eyes. "But first, we need to stop Kaicilious' forces from destroying your world. It's the least we can do."
"And from what I've seen, their weapon is much stronger than ours." Armstrong spoke up while looking at the ground in anger.
"I mean we can fight them back if we had our Morphers, but they got busted." Yang admitted with a frown.
"Actually, they should be done." Yusei told everyone, making the Rangers look at him.
"Seriously? Well, that's convenient." Spike offhandedly said while eating a kabob he made.
"Awesome! Now we can finally kick some butt!" Natsu cheered with a grin. "Hey Ed, do you want-"
However it was at this moment that the others realized both Edward and Alphonse were gone.
"Elric?" Mustang asked as he stood up before he glared at the Rangers. "What did you do?"
"Hey, don't blame us. We were talking to you." Natsu defended everyone with a glare.
"We should discuss our next move, Colonel." Hawkeye said to her superior.
"She's right, sir. If what the Rangers told us is true, then Amestris is in grave danger." Armstrong added, getting a sigh from Mustang as he sat back down.
"I'll go look for him. I can even get the Morphers ready too, if you want." Yusei offered his team, who all nodded as he left the room.
'With the Elrics'
As the Rangers and Mustang talked about their next course of action, the Elric brothers decided to explore the Legacy a bit, amazed by the advanced technology.
"Wow. It's so new and… smooth." Alphonse confessed as he ran his hand along the wall, admiring the feeling. It was nothing like the buildings back in his world.
"Yeah… it's something alright." Edward muttered as he walked a bit ahead of his brother, something the younger of the two noticed.
"Is everything alright, brother? You seem a little… distant." Alphonse asked with a small frown.
"Al… what's going on here? Why were we brought here of all places? Why did this Oblivion guy attack OUR home?" Edward asked question after question as he stopped walking, his bangs covering his expression.
"Well… I can't really answer that." Alphonse admitted while rubbing the back of his head. "But it has to do with the crystal you found. It seems really important."
"So why don't they just take it from me?" Edward asked as he turned around, this time showing his narrowed eyes to his brother. "I never asked to be one of the 'Power Rangers.'"
"Well, I know that. But you were the one who found the crystal first, so-"
"That doesn't mean I AGREED to join!" Edward shouted, making Alphonse widen his eyes in surprise. Seeing this, Edward softened his expression and apologized. "It's just… we're FINALLY getting back to a normal life. I mean I got my arm back and you got your body. But now there's an even bigger problem than Father and the Homunculi and these guys just wanna take me away. All because of some rock."
"That's not true." The two brothers jumped a bit in surprise as they looked to see Yusei standing behind Alphonse, a frown plastered on his face as he walked up to them. "We'd never force you to join if you didn't want to."
"Yeah, I bet." Edward responded with a skeptical tone.
"Would it be a surprise if I told you that Vektor didn't technically choose us?" Yusei asked, getting both brothers' attention. "It's true that Vektor sent them through the multiverse, but it was the Crystals who chose us."
"Chose you? Are you saying the Dimension Crystals are self aware?" Alphonse couldn't help but ask with a surprised tone.
"I think. To be honest, I still don't know much about the Crystals outside of what Vektor explained." Yusei confessed before he took out the Blue Dimension Crystal. "But when I touched it, I felt stronger. And in a way… I felt what the Crystal was feeling."
'Kinda like me.' Edward thought as he unconsciously reached in his pocket and touched his crystal.
"When we found the Crystals, like with you, Oblivion's forces attacked our homes. My friends… were taken." Yusei revealed, much to their shock. "Not just me: Natsu, Rias, Yang, Ichigo, even Spike had people that were taken. We were just… powerless to stop him. And then, Vektor and Kaldon picked us up and explained everything. But they gave us a choice: either we can be Rangers… or we can walk away."
"You made a choice…" Alphonse trailed off.
"And you agreed… is it cause of your friends?" Edward asked, though the answer was obvious.
"Yes. But it was also because we WANTED to help people." Yusei explained as he walked past them, moving to one of the windows nearby to look at the emptiness of space. "My world isn't exactly normal, but I still tried my best to help it. And when I found out that Oblivion destroyed an entire planet, wiping out so much of the population… I couldn't say no. If I could even help one person, regardless of who it is, then I will." He then turned back to Edward with a serious look. "If you don't want to be a Ranger, we won't force you. After all, everyone deserves a chance to live a normal life."
Edward… appreciated what Yusei was saying. He didn't want to seem like a selfish person since there were a lot of people in Amestris that he wanted to help. Alphonse, Armstrong, Hawkeye, Winry, even Roy(though he wouldn't openly admit it). Plus, he made a personal promise to watch over Maes Hughes' family after said man… died helping them a long time ago. Plus, there were all the other people who helped him on his journey, so it wouldn't feel right not to help them.
At the same time, he and Alphonse finally got back what they lost when they tried to revive their mother, not to mention they could finally enjoy a peaceful life. So was it right to just risk it all again to fight a monster like Oblivion?
"I… I…"
*BEEP, BEEP*
The trio were surprised when the alarm suddenly went off.
"EVERYONE! Get to the Bridge! We have a problem!" Neo called out with an urgent tone.
"Who was that?" Edward asked Yusei.
"That was are A.I, Neo. He must've found something. Follow me." Yusei told the brothers before he started to run towards the bridge.
"A.I?" The brothers looked at each other in confusion before they shook their heads and followed the Blue Ranger.
Once everyone had gathered on the ship(and the new arrivals got over the surprise of the technology), Neo popped on screen with a worried face emoji.
"What's wrong, Neo? Is it Kaicilious?" Rias asked the A.I with a serious tone.
"Yup. Look at this." Neo said before turning on the screen, showing footage of Amestris via drone.
"What is this?" Mustang questioned, not expecting to see something like this.
"It's called a monitor." Yang answered like it was the simplest thing in the world, though she quickly remembered these people were behind in terms of technology.
"Oh man…" Natsu muttered as he saw the Crekors, who were still driving their custom Duel Runners, drive by and blast a tank to the point it exploded.
"They reverse engineered the Duel Runners for this?" Yusei said with a deep frown, clenching his fist tightly. Duel Runners were meant to be used for Turbo Duels, not for murder!
"It gets worse." Neo told them before he showed video of Longshot throwing a grenade in a building, causing it to explode and crumble down.
"What are we waiting for? Let's go!" Edward told the Rangers, ready to jump in to help anyway he can.
"That's what they want." Rias suddenly spoke up, not taking her eyes off the monitor.
"I agree. Look at the way they're gathering everyone." Hawkeye pointed out in the top right corner of the monitor, which showed video of the Crekors herding the civilians together. "They seem to be using them as hostages… or as shields."
"Oblivion's never done something this bad." Yang said with her arms crossed.
"No kidding. Usually, his monsters scare a lot of people. This is way too different." Spike added with narrowed eyes.
"That… is because Kaicilious… has no morals." The group turned around and were surprised to see Vektor enter the bridge, with Ichigo and Kaldon helping him walk.
"Vektor, Ichigo! You should be resting." Rias told the two as the Rangers walked up to them.
"I'm fine… Well, I'm good enough to fight." Ichigo explained, though he did grab his right side a bit.
"Besides, you will need these to fight, Ni-Ni." Kaldon spoke up while opening his chest, revealing the fully repaired Morphers. "Though, please be careful with the Armor of Jhoton, Ni-Ni. Though the Morphers have been repaired, the power from your upgrade might damage them again, Ni-Ni."
"Thanks, Kaldy. We'll kick some ass for you." Yang grinned as she and the others grabbed their Morphers.
"In order… to stop Kaicilious… you will need to… divert his forces…" Vektor started to explain as he moved away from Kaldon, sitting down on a chair. "If his forces are lured away from him, then it would be possible to defeat him. But it will require all of you."
"If that's the case, then we may be able to help." Mustang told Vektor. "Amestris is our home, so we will fight for it."
"I respect your bravery…" Kaldon walked over to Vektor and whispered the names of the new arrivals. "Colonel Mustang, but Oblivion's forces are much stronger than you realize."
"We've dealt with… strange beings before, sir." Alphonse spoke up, recalling his past battles with Father and his Homunculi. "Like the Colonel said, Amestris is home, so please let us help." Armstrong, Hawkeye and Edward nodded in agreement.
Vektor and some of the Rangers couldn't help but admire the bravery of the Amestrians. They just learned of Oblivion's invasion and was even introduced to new technology, yet they were still willing to fight back.
"Alright. If we're doing this, we'll need to split up into teams." Natsu suggested with a serious tone.
"Yeah, cause splitting up worked REALLY well last time." Spike sarcastically commented.
"Perhaps it would be wise to split into large groups." Armstrong brought up.
"Okay. That sounds like the best solution." Rias agreed with a nod with a hand under her chin. "Here's what we should do…"
'Central, sometime later'
"BOMBS AWAY!" Longshot threw yet another of his grenades into a local bakery, causing it to explode. He barely felt some of the burning bread flying out of the store, landing at his feet. "Ugh. I hate the smell of burnt food."
'Longshot, report." Demolition's voice called out from Longshot's communicator, which he turned on.
"Longshot here. What's wrong?" Longshot asked.
"We've gathered more of the soldiers and cut off their communications. So primitive." Demolition commented with a scoff. "The Rangers should be arriving soon. Keep your eyes out."
"I know. When I see them and the Gold Crystal…" Longshot loaded his wrist guns. "They'll beg for mercy."
*Clap*
Longshot suddenly heard the sound of a loud clap to his side. He turned around just in time to see a large stone circle rise around him.
"Nice one, Al." Yang muttered to the youngest of the Elric brothers as she, Al and Spike waited for Longshot to react.
*BANG*BANG*BANG*
One by one, the stone circle broke apart thanks to Longshot's blasts before he eventually landed a hard kick, causing it to break apart. "You really love pissing me off, don't you?" Longshot asked the Rangers with an annoyed tone. "Well, you won't be annoying me for too long… after I hang you up my wall!"
"Move!" Spike shouted as he fired three stray shots at Longshot, who tanked them before he fired back.
"Cowards! Get back here!" Longshot shouted as he began to run after them. "Demolition, the Yellow and Green Rangers are here. Send a squad of Riders my way!"
"Understood. I will send them your coordinates." Demolition answered before the sniper of Oblivion's forces continued his attack.
'With Kyra and Static'
"Hmmm… this is useless." Static commented as he threw away the handgun one of the Crekors found. He was thoroughly disappointed with how low tech everything in Central was, and the humans didn't seem as intelligent. "How is it that you've existed for so long without advancing? At the very least, you should have development wireless communication with one another."
"I don't know what you're talking about. But you won't get away with attacking Central!" One of the officers shouted with a glare as he and the other humans were gathered in the middle of town.
"Shall I end him, Static?" Kyra asked while taking out her knife.
"Technically, we aren't required to keep EVERY human alive. And his words do annoy me. So do as you please. Just don't kill the women and children." Static offhandedly told her as he took out his pad.
"With pleasure." Kyra chuckled as she grabbed the soldier by the hair, bringing him close to her knife. "Tell me: are you afraid?"
*BANG*
However, she was not given an answer as a bullet shot her hand, causing him to drop the knife and release the officer.
"Let them go, Kyra!" Walking down the street was Rias, clad in her Ranger suit, declared as she walked up, Tiger Bow in hand.
"Really, Pink Ranger? You think attacking us in the open is the wisest move?" Static questioned while lowering his pad.
"I don't know. Is looking at your pad the wisest move?" Rias mocked, though it felt rather forced due to the fact she rarely did smack talk.
"Kyra, kill her." Static simply ordered, getting a nod from the whip user.
"Now we can finish where we started." Kyra darkly said as she turned on her whips. Rias sprouted her Devil Wings and began to fly back, with Kyra running around her.
"Hmmm… perhaps she may need assistance." Static told himself before he glanced at the Crekors guarding the humans. "Half of you, go with Kyra. The rest will stay with me." The Crekors beeped in acknowledgement as half of them got on their cycles, driving after the assassin.
"Hawkeye, I've lured Kyra away. You can start your attack." Rias said through her Morpher.
"Understood." Overwatching the human hostages, with a rifle Kaldon had provided, was none other than Riza Hawkeye, who took a subtle breath as she set her sights on the Crekors.
"Now, let us continue our-"
Static was cut off when one of the Crekors were suddenly shot in the head, causing it to fall on the ground.
"What in the?!" Another Crekor was destroyed, followed by another. "Sniper! Follow the trajectory and destroy them!" Static commanded as he quickly went to find cover. The officers, noticing the attack, decided to take action. Though they didn't have any weapons, the officers decided to jump the Crekors, holding them down. "Master, the Rangers staged an ambush!"
"I will send Kaiciluous to assist you. Hold out until then." Oblivion ordered with a serious tone.
'With Demolition'
The son of Oblivion was being very cautious, which one couldn't blame him for.
It wasn't the new world or the humans(who were easy to defeat and/or slay).
But rather… it was due to the fact that his allies were being attacked one by one, all by the Rangers' hands.
'They've gotten much bolder, despite not morphing earlier. I respect that.' Demolition thought as he drove along the street on his new cycle with his squad of Crekors, avoiding some of the damaged vehicles along the way. He turned on his communicator to speak with his allies. "Longshot, what is your status?"
"Still chasing the Yellow and Green Rangers. Which would be easier if I had a cycle with me!" Longshot shouted with an annoyed tone.
"Static already informed you. Your… bulk would not be supported by the Cycles." Demolition answered in a matter-of-fact tone.
"... I'M NOT FAT!" Was all Longshot yelled, earning a light chuckle from Demolition.
"Your units should be there soon. Just don't keep your eyes of-"
"GETSUGA TENSHO!" Before Demolition could finish, a black energy slash came from above, striking two of Riders as they crashed. Demolition looked up and saw Ichigo running along one of the rooftops.
"Ichigo Kurosaki!" Demolition shouted in a somewhat excited tone as he and the remaining Riders began to turn around.
"Roy, now!" Ichigo shouted at his Morpher.
"Normally, I'm not a fan of being ordered around." Roy Mustang walked down the street, facing the direction of Demolition and his Riders before he pulled his hands back. "But for now, I'm making an exception!" With that, he snapped his fingers, causing large flames to emerge. However, unlike his flames from before, Mustang's flames turned into the shape of a large dragon, which roared as it flew towards the son of Oblivion. The dragon-shaped flames opened its jaw before it bit down on Demolition, engulfing them in a large explosion.
However, the swordsman jumped out of the flames, drawing his new sword as he prepared to strike down the Colonel.
"DAMN!" Mustang jumped back as Demolition stabbed the spot he just stood up, creating cracks on the ground. Roy snapped his fingers again and launched a burst of flames, only for Demolition to cut down.
"Fire Dragon Flame Slash!" Demolition quickly raised his sword as Natsu suddenly emerged from the side, blocking his Dragon Claws.
"An ambush, Red Ranger? That is clever, even for you." Demolition admitted as he pushed Natsu away.
"You calling me stupid?!" Natsu shouted before he began to slash at Oblivion's son, who started to block each of his sword swings. Ichigo leapt off the roof and swung his sword down, only for Demolition to take out his staff to block it.
"This may very well be a challenge!" Demolition declared as he pushed both Rangers back, getting in a stances with his sword and staff.
'We just need to hold out until the others get the rest of them together.' Ichigo thought as he and Natsu shared a look.
"Let's go, Ichigo!" Natsu shouted before he and the Black Ranger rushed in.
"Hmm. Looks like they won't need me." Mustang told himself with his hands in his pockets before he noticed another wave of Riders coming towards, making him smirk. "Oh well. At least I have some entertainment!"
With that, Roy Mustang began another wave of finger snaps.
'With Yusei'
Finally, the Blue Ranger of the group was slowly making his way towards Central Headquarters, with Edward and Armstrong following suit, avoiding Crekor patrols every now and then. Eventually, they reached the outside of the HQ, only to find a large group of Crekors in the front.
"I count about… fourteen in the front. And five Riders." Yusei whispered as he peeked his head out, counting the number of robots. "We'll rush them with a surprise attack. Once the fighting starts, you go in and retake the building. By then, the other should bring the rest of Oblivion's forces here."
"We shall make these 'Crekors' pay for attacking our home!" Armstrong declared while getting his gauntlets ready. Edward said nothing as he looked at the blaster Kaldon had given him, a frown on his face. "Is something wrong, Edward Elric?"
"I'm just… not comfortable with this thing." Edward admitted while gesturing to his blaster. He just wasn't the biggest fan of guns, which is ironic considering he used to create cannons with Alchemy.
"The Crekors aren't alive. So you won't be killing anything." Yusei explained before he placed a hand on Edward's shoulder. "But I understand how you feel. To be fair, I didn't feel right about using my blaster before, but sometimes, we have to do it. Just stay close to Armstrong, okay?" Edward gave a nod as the trio prepared to attack. "One… two… THREE! PHOENIX STRIKERS!"
The Crekors beeped in confusion as they saw a blue light emerge from the side of the building, only for Yusei to drive out of it in his Phoenix Striker. Without warning, Yusei began firing blue lasers at the Crekors, successfully taking down two of them before he started to drive off. The Riders quickly turned on their vehicles and began to drive after him.
"NOW! FEEL THE STRENGTH PASSED DOWN THE ARMSTRONG FAMILY!" Armstrong shouted before he punched the ground, his Alchemy circle glowing. A second later, large stone spikes began to grow out of the ground, moving towards the Crekors. Though most of them were able to dodge it, three unfortunately got caught and destroyed. Letting out a battle cry, the muscular man rushed the machines while they were processing what was going on, slugging one hard in the head. "I WILL TAKE YOU ALL ON!" One Crekor aimed its cannon arm at Armstrong, only for him to use the Crekor he had just punched as a shield, blocking the laser fire. Lifting the now damaged machine, Armstrong threw it at another Crekor, knocking them both out.
However, he failed to notice one of the Crekors preparing to slash him from behind.
*Bang*
Only for Edward to use his borrowed blaster, hitting the robot in the back of the head before it fell down. 'Damn. So that's how it feels.' Edward thought as he looked at the blaster. He was brought out of his thoughts as a Crekor shot the wall next to him.
"Fire!" Yusei turned his ride around before he fired another laser blast, hitting one Rider as it fell out of its makeshift runner. Turning on the engine once again, Yusei began to drive towards the other Riders, who began to fire back. However, thanks to all his driving experience, Yusei was able to dodge the blasts easily before he took out his Dimension Blaster, shooting down two more Riders. Turning his Phoenix Striker once more, Yusei drove up next to the remaining two Riders, who took out their swords. Yusei ducked as the Crekor on the right tried to slash him while the Crekor on the left struck the side of his vehicle. He noticed both of them aimed their cannon arms, ready to fire.
But just as they did, Yusei slammed the brakes on his vehicle, causing him to stop just as the Crekors shot one another, making them crash into one of the statues in Central.
"Ohh… hope that wasn't important." Yusei muttered to himself before he started to drive back to Edward and Armstrong. "Guys, how's everything on your end?"
"Fine! Longshot's got the Riders backing him up. We should be at the Central HQ soon." Yang replied through the Morpher.
"Same here with Kyra. She and the Riders are trying to shoot me down." Rias explained with a small grunt.
"And we're holding off Demolition and his Riders!" Ichigo finally answered as the sound of blades clashing echoed behind his voice.
"Do any of you see Kaicilious? I didn't see him in the HQ." Yusei questioned as he saw Edward blast the last Crekor while Armstrong stomped on one's head.
"No we don't." Spike answered.
"He isn't with the blue robot." Hawkeye spoke up.
"He's… not here!" Natsu finally said, much to Yusei's confusion.
"No one's seen him. But… he was supposed to be here." Yusei said to himself while trying to process everything. He and the others made this plan to gather all the generals and Kaicilious together to take them out in one fell swoop. And yet, the general who posed the biggest problem wasn't there… unless…
*Ding*
Yusei gasped as he felt something hit one of the wheels on his runner, causing it flail a bit. "Crap!" Despite his best efforts, Yusei's Phoenix Striker steered to the right, causing it and him to fall on the ground.
"Yusei Fudo!" Armstrong called out as he and Edward noticed the Blue Ranger crash, running to his aim.
However… the two stopped when they saw a grenade land in front of them, causing their eyes to widen. "GRENADE!" Edward shouted as he and Armstrong jumped back.
*BOOM*
The grenade exploded, causing a large shockwave that sent both blonde men flying back. "Ed! Alex!" Yusei shouted as he stood up, only for one of Kaicilious' Ravengers to punch him, causing him to fall on the ground. "What the?" Before he could act, Yusei was suddenly grabbed by the Ravenger, who was assisted by another Ravenger as they held him in place.
"What… the hell was that?" Edward groaned as he tried to get over the ringing in his ears. He opened his eyes just as another of the Ravengers grabbed him by the collar, pulling him up to his feet. "Hey! Let go!"
"Edward!" Armstrong shouted before he was hit on the head by yet another Ravenger. Two more Ravengers grabbed the Armstrong alchemist by the arms, keeping him in place.
"Well, well. I admit I wasn't expecting such a strategic assault from you Rangers." Edward heard footsteps in front of him, prompting him to look… and come face to face with Kaicilious.
"Hello there… Gold Crystal carrier."
Duh, duh, DUH! Part two of the Gold Ranger arc has ended with Edward, Armstrong and Yusei being ambushed. Nice way to end it, right?
I hope you liked the interactions between the Rangers and the FMAB characters. Especially since Edward and the others haven't seen technology as advanced at the ones both the Rangers and Oblivion's forces have. Before you ask, yes, this version of Roy had his eyes fixed, but he hasn't been given a promotion to General. I hope that clears it up(though I did chuckle when writing Armstrong flexing in front of the female Rangers).
Edward's reluctance to be a Ranger is to be expected since he did end up having a normal life. But we'll see how long that lasts.
And before I forget, earlier this year, my good friend and fellow writer, Earth Dragon Arnighte, has joined me and TheExcadrill Comics in writing his own Power Rangers story: Power Rangers Inferno Force. Please go check it out as I am helping with his edits. And also read TheExcadrillComics' stories too, as well as vote on his poll. Speaking of polls, I have another poll for one more new story for this year. Please go vote.
