HELLO ONCE AGAIN!

Sup, fellow readers yes as you see this is nearing the end. SO…SO CLOSE to the bloody end. I believe if anything one more or two more chapters should be all that is left for this story. Since I decided to mainly dedicate my time lately to finishing up this story.

Anyways. This isn't the most if barely action packed chapter out there. BUT, it is needed to get the Lock Down chapter out of the way. I'll explain a bit more on what I'm planning to do in the end notes.

So without further ado, enjoy the chapter!

I do NOT own RWBY or Mass Effect, Mass Effect belongs to Bioware and RWBY belongs to Mounty Oum/Rooster Teeth.

RWBY Effect

Ch.43- Near thy end, to the mocking Holy Grail...

Tired, tired. So very tried…

That's what the girls of team RWBY primarily felt. Even if it hadn't been ten minutes since they alongside the others, were finally able to push back the attacking Evolved Grimm.

That and Ruby, alongside the help of the others there. At least when it came to Weiss, Blake and Yang. Had helped go over what had occurred before they left orbit and through the Mass Relay. Now they were heading to the Citadel from what Elizabeth explained before the girls re-accounted what had occurred on their part.

"And that's, that. The girls and I found natives on our world, had an official-official meeting with our other selves kids; and finally bringing in our new comrades here." Ruby exclaimed, as she and girls, turned their attention to all the new commers "I'm just glad we were able to get you all in here. I was worried something would happen when we ran into that ambush."

"Pff, those noobs couldn't lay a hand on us if they wanted too." Neo exclaimed, as she twirled her now very beloved and reunited, parasol as ever since she learned from her other self somehow. That said parasol had been her weapon in their previous life. Now the girl oddly felt complete, helped to that she adored the weapons coloring "Though have to say Roman here kind of surprised me. Never knew you'd be one to get into a fist to fist fight. With those creepy Grimm no less."

"Please… I was nervous enough as it is." Roman exclaimed, as Doctor Chakwas was looking over his legs since those had been cut up the most. A slight sting occurred "AH…sorry, that stung."

"Well maybe next time you won't charge into a battle like that." Karen mused, with a slight smirk as she patted the young man's head, before looking to the remaining four new comers she had yet to check up on. That being the ones called Oscar, Illia, Melanie and Miltiades "Before I get to you four. I must ask, are you alliance or something else?"

"Yeah kind of curious myself there. You look oddly familiar and I don't know why…" Annabelle exclaimed, as she was laying against Kalzar who himself was SO relieved his suit hadn't been punctured during the fight

"Oh my god you too gal. I totally am having that feeling too." Dizzerella remarked, as she was laying the wall near her too like most of the others. Letting her dear Edward lay on her lap, much to the girls delight "I swear Grandpa had told me or something about some organization where I saw that symbol of yours. I just don't remember clearly enough."

"So you're just saying you don't trust us?" Ilia asked, as she was uneasy right now, mainly because she was stuck inside a ship with possible enemies and her side only had four against a dozen or so. That and she was uncomfortable being near the aliens, though much to her own surprise; she kind of felt bad for feeling that way. Then again, these few aliens were technically the first she'd ever actually met face to face so maybe that was why

"None of us mean anything by it, but unlike most of us. You four are, unknowns in more ways than one. Look, just tell us something about who you work for, a name even. Please." Rayna chimed in, as she was so glad to be off that bloody fucking planet. She'd never look at the colors black, red and white the same again in that mixture

Meanwhile Oscar, Illia, Melanie and Miltiades looked at one another. Before forming a small quick circle to talk amongst one another. Whispering and slightly louder whispers could be heard for a good minuet. Before they broke up, then faced the group once more. Oscar clearing his throat, seeming to be the one that was elected to speak for their group.

"So, we can tell our name. But that's all we can tell you. We can get into some real trouble if we say more and trust me. Our… people will find out if we spoke on our group too much. I hope that's okay with you all." Oscar explained, as everyone else looked to one another seeming to slowly nodded in agreement on the deal. Though they needed one more person approval here and Yang was the one to ask

"Hey mom. You still with Joker in the cockpit?" Yang asked as Elizabeth alongside Joker had been the ones to be debriefed on the girls side of things planet side

- "Yep still here my little sunshine."- Elizabeth answered, as some of the others with the girls snickered at the nickname. Yang blushed a little at how her mom seemed to take joy in teasing her at the worst of times. Didn't help when Elizabeth chuckled too a bit over the comms -"Hehe. Still I heard too and it's fine. You four did help too so we'll give you that much to at least say the name."-

"Thank you then miss. Anyways, were part a group known as Cerberus." Oscar stated, as her and the others of his team waited just in case someone knew the name

Though for the one's who'd swore they knew the group of four's organization name. They seemed to be drawing blanks currently as nothing came to mind. The others also seemed to having the same little issue of if they had actually heard of said group or not.

Team RWBY even had some trouble there. Then again a lot of things had been slipping their minds these past few good hours. Considering what they'd learned and witness in such a short period of time. Had slightly overloaded their brains a bit, so remembering if they HAD heard of Cerberus was a little bit hard currently. Still for Oscar and his group, they were relieved that it seemed no one was ACTUALLY going to attack them for their allegiances.

"Sorry, I don't think me or well anyone else here knows your group. No offense I mean." Ruby exclaimed, as Oscar, Illia, Melanie and Miltiades all just shrugged not seeming offended on bit. Deciding that she and the girls at least needed to make their way to the cockpit so they could get out quickly once at the Citadel. Since she had a feeling it as going to be a little hectic, Ruby stood up. Wiess, Blake and Yang followed in suit having a similar idea most likely "Well, me and the girls need to make our way up the deck. You all just stay down here for now and rest. Tali, Adams and the others who work the Normandy's FLT drive can help you out if you need anything okay?"

The others nodded, agreeing with Ruby's words. Ruby though looked to Garrus and Karen. Both giving the girls a silent nod that they would handle things down here. With that the girls made their way to the elevator. Once inside, they let out a small sigh of relief after what they'd gone through. Before the elevator stopped and opened up once more. Once outside, they took the stairs up before entering the CIC. Seeing everyone else up here doing one thing or another.

Be it with Yatsuhashi and Tenrec holding up Penny as she worked on one of the upper consoles while Presley navigated her through the process.

Be it Ashely, Ziara, Jaune, Wrex and Nora moving burnt pieces of well whatever they were for the deck itself to the sides.

Or be it Liara, Pyrrha, Poppy, Glynda and Kaiden tinkering with the Galaxy Map's inner systems for some reason. Probably to make sure if there was any small cracks or dents. Alongside Eve in her holo form guiding them as well through the process.

And even be it Ekai, Kalvern of all people or… Geth, Ozpin, Ren, Fox, Captain Kirrahe and his squad of STG's cleaning all the black stained dust that covered the floor of the deck itself as bets as they could.

Finally be it lastly with Coco, Velvet, Kianna, Zwei who was pulling a small cart and Wallace. All walking around with tools and such for everyone else. Seeming to acting like the all-around support.

All of them, coupled with many more of the crew doing what they can to quickly fix the Normandy up before making it to the Citadel. Pretty summed up for the girls of team RWBY. That the perpetrations for said flight, must have been one heck of a rush job. They couldn't help but be impressed and grateful to be around such dedicated; and hardworking individuals,

Still the girls they began their way to cockpit where the guessed Elizbeth was alongside Joker obviously. Pass by everyone who gave them quick, but truly sincere smiles or nods of relief that they were okay. After a few more seconds, they made it to the cockpit. Seeing Elizabeth staring outside the window of the darkness of space, alongside Joker who was like always navigating the Normandy.

"Ahem." Weiss coughed loudly, as Joker and Elizabeth looked to see the girls. Joker smiled, while Elizabeth well... you can guess

"I am so glad you girls are okay!" Elizabeth in utter glee stated. Running up to her daughters and future daughter in laws, scoping the four up into a bear "Like really glad. You have NO idea how nervous I got!"

"O-Okay…w… we're glad too Elizabeth….but…but please….air…" Blake pleaded as Elizabeth had unintentionally pulled the four into a rather strong bear hug, realizing herself. Elizabeth quickly placed the four down, who quickly did what they could to catch their breath "Thank… the lord or whoever… I saw the light… the fish filled light…"

"Hehe…sorry." Elizbeth sheepishly replied back. As she was glad she didn't hurt the girls, but she couldn't help herself after how worried she started getting. The woman swore she was adding on ten years to herself from how much stress she'd been filled with lately "Anyways. Like I said, we're all glad you're okay and after what you explained. We're gonna have to go to Citadel and hopefully get the council to listen finally."

"Speaking of that mom. Be honest, how big of a chance do you think we have at persuading them?" Ruby asked, as she finally caught her breath and decided to ask her mother's opinion there

"Honestly, not too well sadly. But we have to try." Elizbeath honestly answered, as trying was really all they had going for them currently. Though she sighed too "Though we don't much of choice anyways going to the Citadel. Just after I made the suggestion we go there. I got a message from the Council, Udina to be exact. Seems they want see us for some reason."

"Huh…wonder what it could be for?" Weiss mused, as for some reason she was getting a rather odd feeling in her stomach all of sudden

"Maybe to congratulate us?" Yang suggested, though noticed the girls, her mom and Joker all giving her deadpanned stares. Yang slumped a bit "Yeah… yeah probably not."

"Good guess either way those sister." Weiss replied to her future sister in law, as she and Blake gave the girl a pat on the back; before turning her attention back to Joker "Still. Joker, how long before we get to the Citadel?"

"Shouldn't be too long. We're closing in on the Mass Relay now. But ah, you all gonna do your freak out's again…cause if so. I'm ducking under my seat this time. Brittle bones be damned." Joker mused, smirking a little. As the girls rolled their eyes at the obvious jab to pervious moments of relay infused oddness. But they smirked too, much to Joker enjoyment "Eh, you all smirked. One for me!"

"Yeah, yeah. Don't get a big head there Joker, hehe." Blake joked back, as that got a moment or so of laughter. Before they went back a more serious tone when she, along with the others moments later. Notice the Mass Relay up ahead "Well let's just hope everything goes well enough. Hopefully."

Yeah, hopefully...

It was now after the usage of the Mass Relay to Citadel space, and AGAIN. It seemed the resident Remnants literally were affected by the eezo that radiated around the ship during their trip back to the Citadel. Their little moment just finished as they arrived into Citadel space. All of the Remnants, aside from obvisoluy the four Geth of Ziara's and Kianna's Wallace.

Still most of the flabbergasted crew and those who weren't Remnant Native. All just stared at the group of teens and adults. That were laying on the ground tried once again after another dubbed 'Relay Moment'. By this point many should have been use to these. BUT, no. No that wasn't the case one bit.

"Commander, can I ask something?" Presley asked, as he stood next to Elizbeth and Joker near the cockpit

"Granted…" Elizbeth muttered as she kind of hoping by this point the native Remnants would have grown out of these relay moments. Apparently she asking TOO much of god or whatever other gods could be up there

"Are we sure we've not just lost our minds by this point?" Presley asked, though cleared his throat some as he had been somehow wrapped up in the madness of their odd Remnant natives this time

You see when the relay moment began. Apparently the Remnant somehow recited a musical rendition of an old band in the early 2000's known as the Back Streets Boy. Singing the song 'I want it that way, Ruby, Yang, Jaune and Coco somehow ending up as the lead singers as the others were backup singers.

Presley only got dragged into this when a relay moment crazed Nora pulled him in, to act as the fifth singer for this. Now he would have said no, but considering it was Nora. A girl who'd been known to be a bit… scary and good on her threats. That and he read the bloody report when she and some of the other girls fought off those Mother Leagues. Nora being one with the katana of all people…

You know what, point is Presly wasn't suicidal and wanted to keep his legs unbroken thank you very much. So he joined in, kind of good thing now. Since he remembered one of his nieces loved that old band for whatever reason and listened to it…A LOT. So Presley sung along, that and prayed to god that no one recorded what has just occurred. Especially Joker, lord knows he would actually post it up on the Extra Net. Still it was, an odd experience to say the least.

"Sanity, what's that. I don't remember having such a thing ever since this whole thing started." Joker, joked as he seriously wondered if he'd ever be 'sane' again after all the stuff they'd been put through this past near two months or was it weeks… never mind "Seriously though, never would peg myself a believer but considering the girls well…"

"Yeah…yeah we know." Elizabeth exclaimed, looking back outside the Normandy's front windows seeing the Citadel from a distance. Sighing, she knew she had get at least the girls prepped for meeting with the Council. They'd all probably wonder where they went "Alright. Presley help me get the rest of the kiddos up. Joker, delete the video I know you recorded."

"Pff what…me…no…." Joker tried to lie, but he realized Elizabeth had been working on her mom gaze. That coupled with the fact she was scary as hell biotic to boot and Joker quickly knew to reword his little lie "NO problem…no problem at all…yep…yep. Hehe…"

"Good boy." Elizabeth bemused with smirk, as she looked back ahead Though Presley couldn't but chuckle some

"You've got to teach me that when I have to deal with him by myself." Presley exclaimed, as Elizabeth chuckled herself now

"I all due time Presley. In all due time, now come on lets help with our little Remnants." Elizabeth said. As she really was so glad to have such an… interesting crew at her helm

With that she and Presley walked up to help the other non-Remnants who were helping up their little Remnants. To be perfectly honest. Elizabeth wasn't really worried as she seemed at what was to come. Beside it was just to see the Council and probably Udina again. Get yelled at a bit after what they'll be explaining and such.

Wasn't like they were going to ground them for good. Pfff, that was totally. Utterly, Stu-

.

.

.

"So despite our relief and many others that you're all safe. Even if you came with… more oddness. We as the Council. Have decided, you are no longer needed to pursue Saren and his forces. With that said, Udina offered a suggestion to make sure none of you go off on your own. As of now, the Normandy and crew are grounded."

Those were the words Councilor Tevos, who aside from making a quick little comment on team RWBY's sudden… runes on their skins. That and before her fellow councilors said anything TOO offensive. Had to also be the one to deliver the rather she assumed… unpleasing news to the Normandy crew.

To be perfectly honest she didn't want to be the one to tell them, but Sparatus had wanted to play some stupid human game called. 'Drawing the straws'. To decided who exactly told one of their newest Spectres and the girls of team RWBY of this decision. Again now she hated said game, as she drew the stupid short straw. The reactions of said individuals, being Elizbeth and team RWBY were… obvious.

"WHAT?!" Yang screamed first at the rather sudden news, after getting out of such a life and death situation

"YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS HERE?!" Weiss screamed next and probably the loudest, then again considering her early years learning to sing. That coupled with the fact she was rather angry, caused quite the echo in the Council Chambers. Which got a few others in the area just walking around startled for a moment or so at the sudden scream

"MEROW!" Blake of all things, meowed… yeah. She didn't care though, like her dear Yang and ice sister Weiss. She too was rather upset at this suddenness. Though if any other time she would have done this, Yang absolutely would have been gushing over the cute if not rather threatening meow

"RAZZLE FRAZZLE LAPPADO!" Ruby screamed too. Though the fact of her anger suddenly spiking and the fact she never really yelled at others in anger. She just said the first words that came to mind. Everyone else just stared at her after that. Ruby taking quick notice of the sudden silence and stares. Cleared her throat and went into a more calm stance "Ah…sorry…ah, just… just the first words that came to mind honest."

"Right…" Elizabeth and the girls simply agreed with, as they really didn't want to question the odd wording there

Ruby meanwhile sighed, before looking back at the Councilors in a more serious, but angry manner. Oh goddesses themselves. She really wanted to just punch these three in the face once. But she'd have to have her words be the fists today.

"Seriously though. You can't be serious, we can stop Saren and whatever plans he has at Ilos. You all read the mission report sent before we went missing for a few. You know that's where he's going." Ruby began to explain, as she really hopped they understood what she was trying to tell them

"Miss Rose, Ilos is only accessible through the Mu Relay. Which itself is located deep within the Terminus system. If we send fleets there to secure the relay. The Terminus could see it as an act of war." Valarian explained, calmly as usual when it came his species. Though that calmness didn't help with Elizabeth or the girls moods

"But one ship won't spark a war. That's one if not the whole purpose of the Normandy. Send us in and we can get there discreetly." Elizabeth argued, as she prayed to god and whatever other gods were out there as she was WAY more open minded now on god like beings as a real thing. But prayed that these three would for once see reason here

"Elizabeth is correct and isn't she one of your Spectres. That should count for something on her skills alone to get to that mass relay undetected!" Blake screamed once more, as she was SO done with these three. They were too damn short sighted to see the bigger picture here "Just for once take our word on this. WE. CAN. BE. DISCREET!"

"Not too long ago the Commander here blew up a spirits forsaken nuke. Not to add to the fact your four and your friends haven't been to discreet either. From your little antics on this station, to the missions before now too. So excuse me at least, if I don't take your word on your discreetness!" Sparatus yelled back, as he gave her at least a stern glare "Now keep quiet little girl and let the adults speak!"

"Okay you know what. THAT'S IT!" Blake roared, as she was about to find some way to get up right to Sparatus podium and beat the living day lights out of him. Thankfully despite their own anger, the girls quickly grabbed her

"Eh chill babe, chill!" Yang pleaded as she grabbed Blake around the arms keeping her at bay as Blake tried to break free. Ruby just telling Blake as well to chill out, while Weiss and Elizabeth turned their attention back to a rather surprised set of Councilors

"I apologize for Blake's behavior right now. But forgive me Counciler Sparatus. But you didn't really help either here." Weiss scolded the older Turian, who himself kept in a slight surge of fear he got all of sudden staring into the glowing ice blue eyes of hers

"I and Valarian here have to agree with Miss Schnee. You were out of line just there." Tevos slight scolded her colleague. But had a feeling he'd have been the one to snap first after all this time dealing with such madness that had occurred. Sighing she looked back to the group of five "I will admit though, yours style had helped you early on. But for Ilos, that is a different story and in need of more delicate hands. You must trust us, when we say we have it under control."

"And if it does help a bit more. We already are deploying fleets to the Citadel Relay. If Saren is truly foolish enough to attack us. The he and his Geth will be in for quite the surprise." Valerian explained, as that was the least they could do considering all the Commander and her crew had done for them

"Like that's gonna do much against Sovereign. That thing will break through your defenses just like that. If anything put all your forces against Sovereign itself before it even gets here. That's the real enemy!" Yang argued now, as she was starting to see why Blake was about to claw out at least Sparatus eyes just moments ago

"My daughter is correct. Even though Saren and the Geth are part of this. They're only puppets when it comes to Sovereign. That's the main issue here." Elizabeth chimed in, crossing her arms in slight irritation with this whole sudden mess

"Only you've seen this so called 'Reaper' and from a vision no less. So forgive my own bluntness here, but we'd rather not risk invading the Terminus system and possible starting a full scale war with them. Just because of dreams." Tevos explained, sternly and yet had calmness to her as well. Her fellow councilmen nodded in silent agreement with the statement

"But what about the Conduit. You've all read it, that's what he's truly after and if Saren gets to it. Who knows what he could do with it, alongside Sovereign." Blake interjected once more. But had a feeling this was a losing battle here

"Miss Belladonna. You seemed to forget, but Saren has shown he can be quite the master manipulator. The Conduit you keep speaking about, is simply a well-crafted distraction from his true plan to attack the Citadel." Valerian stated, as Elizabeth and the girl couldn't help but almost roll their eyes at the statement

"That said. We're sorry, but again we can't risk the possibility of war with the Terminus. Though we also can't help but thank for all you've done for us until now. We once more, apologize that this had to be the end result." Tevos stated, as she gave the group of five a small bow, Valerian and even Sparatus followed in suit before Tevos cleared her throat "This meeting is adjourned."

With that, the councilors began to move down from their pastels, while those around who'd taken a moment or so to watch. Scattered too. It was only a few minutes after. That the girls and Elizabeth, still frustrated with all of this suddenness. Had no choice but to just go.

So they began to leave, making their way down the stairs. Only for them to spot Udina finishing a small chat with a Human male who was just now leaving.

This man too was wearing a dark black suit, clean shaved faced and had clean cut hair. Oddly at least to team RWBY. That swore for a moment they saw under the pair of shades he wore. But they swore they saw a slight blue glow. But they ignored it, as their anger towards the human ambassador override their curiosity currently. Ruby being the one to initiate conversation between them.

"YOU!" Ruby yelled, as the others flinched a little from the sudden volume shift in Ruby's tone; almost stopping her too as she walked a bit faster right up to Udina

Who the man himself, oddly was clam. Even not seeming surprised by Ruby's runes that she sported now. Ruby stopping a few inches away from the man as the others started to catch up to the young girl. But the same time, Udina once again seemed TOO calm currently.

"Ah young Ruby. What a pleasure again it is to see you." Udina, in a rather kind tone stated before he noticed Elizabeth and the others had caught up with Ruby. But the man kept his cool, even with the slight stares of anger towards him "And to you all as well. It's been quite sometimes since we last spoke hasn't it. But does there seem to be a problem?"

"Oh NO, NO. You do not get to say that you…you meanie!" Ruby argued, as she was just so flabbergasted by this man and his decision; especially now "We just got done talking with the council. Where they told us, we've been grounded and not allowed to help anymore with this chase against Saren. That and they said YOU made the suggestion to them?!"

"Ah I see. Yes that I did. But don't take it personally ladies, you and your merry little band of misfits have done your part. Now it is my turn to take over, it's simply politics." Udina calmly answered, though Elizabeth and the girls could all could trace a hint of smugness coming from the man as well "I'm sure you all mildly understand that, I mean your own plans alone could have big political implications in the later future. So it's a good thing I've step in. So again, leave the rest to me."

"W-What your problem with us, we're just trying to help people and getting Ilos is our only way to do so. But you've practically screwed us you bastard!" Weiss screamed, rather uncharacteristically swearing a little as the others. Mainly Udina were surprised at the sudden anger from the usually calm ex-heiress. Realizing her own slip of the tongue. Weiss cleared her throat and took a breath or two to calm herself down "Ahem… what I mean to say. Is that you've single handily prevented us from stopping this madness. Which is quite the backhanded move to do, I simply can't understand why you seen bent on doing this."

"Like I said, it's simply political. Besides considering what's been going on so far during all this. Humanity itself has been gaining traction with the council itself. Showing it's worth." Udina exclaimed "Though you commander and especially the brats here could jeopardize that."

"And what is that suppose mean dude?" Yang demanded, as she crossed her arms, the others wanting to know as well; as Udina sighed but decided to tell it them straight

"A lot actually. Rumors have been going around ever since you lot and your little friends showed up. Rumors of insanity, secret plots to take over the Citadel as a whole and don't even get me started on the conspiracy theories that have been popping up. And now you're going on about Reapers and Ilos, what do you think people will assume hm?" Udina exclaimed sternly, but with a slightly soft look too as he passed by the group of five who didn't have an answer to his statement. But he did stop near the steps leading up to where the Councilors had been and let out a small sigh "Look, despite our differences. I will admit, I was somewhat wrong about you lot. Especially you four br…girls, you really did help. But you all need to stay out of the way now, oh and the Normandy's systems have been locked down too by the way. Anyways, good day."

With that Udina made his way off, leaving Elizabeth and the girls alone. All of them frustrated, yet also knew they couldn't do anything at the moment. Elizabeth seeing this, knew that at least for now. They had not much to do. So might as well have a nice time at the Citadel until she figured something out. Hopefully soon.

"Girls." Elizabeth said, as team RWBY looked to Elizabeth who gave them a small kind smile. The girls smile back a bit, feeling better already "I know this is…not a favorable situation. Trust me I do, but don't worry I'll figure out something. I'll head back to the Normandy and inform the others. For now, I want you four to relax and just enjoy your time here okay?"

"Hm…" Yang hummed, as the others seemed a bit hesitant to do so

"Please." Elizabeth added in, as she patted the top of their heads and gave them a slightly sweeter smile; which was enough to convince the four

"Well okay mom…we can do, right girls?" Ruby exclaimed as she might as well, besides after what they had been through. She will admit, she did need a bit to rest and relax

"Indeed we can. Don't worry Elizabeth we'll be fine." Weiss chimed in next, as she did remember a nice little soon to be opened ice cream shop she'd spotted in the presidium and had wanted to try it out once it was opened for business; what better time than now to do so

"And I'll make sure these two don't get into trouble." Yang joked a bit, as she ruffled her baby sister and ice sisters hair; much to the two's slight annoyance and her own amusement

"I think it's more of YOU needing to be watched dear?" Blake joked back, lightly pulling her girlfriends cheek as Yang lets out a cute whimper; before letting go

"Hm…Blakey…" Yang muttered, though she started to laugh a bit after that, Blake following in suit alongside Ruby and Weiss moments later

"Hehe. Glad to see you're feeling a bit better now. For real though, just go down to the Presidium and enjoy some off time. I'll tell the other the same, after telling them about our situation. Oh and don't worry about credits. Seems Tali was feeling a LITTLE mischievous and somehow hacked into Udina's account. So whatever you want to but well… hm you know." Elizabeth mused, smirking as the girls couldn't help but smirk back "Anyways, behave and I'll see you all around soon. Hopefully. Take care girls, especially you my little babies."

"MOM!" Ruby and Yang, in a slight fluster yelled from being called such things. Elizabeth only could chuckle some at their obvious reaction

"Haha. See ya!" Elizabeth mused, as she quickly made her way off; yet again leaving the girls all alone

"Well. Guess we should relax for a bit, OH but maybe we can stop by the lower wards first. I remember seeing a cool backpack being sold from a Volus vendor. I think." Yang stated, as she decided she might as well do so now since they were stuck

"And I'll of course go with you, to make sure you don't get scammed." Blake added in kindly, as she gave her girlfriend a quick peck on the cheek before turning to Weiss and Ruby "What about you two. Do you want come with us or do you own thing for the moment?"

"Nah not at the moment, me and Weiss are probably going to just explore around the Presidium for a bit. Enjoy the outside air ya know?" Ruby exclaimed, before grabbing Weiss hand and smiling "I mean if you're fine with it."

"You know I always am my little Rose." Weiss replied back. Kindly nuzzling her nose against Ruby's; who returned the affectionate gesture with her own

"Okay BLEH. Way TOO sweet right there you too." Blake remarked, as she made a mock face of amused disgust; before dragging Yang away down to the elevator that lead down to the Presidium; before going to the Wards "Anyways. Me and Yang are off, you two stay out of trouble okay?"

"Yes mom." Weiss teased, as Blake gave her slight stink eye as Yang chuckled

Once the two were down the stair and gone from sight. Weiss and Ruby chuckling a little, looked to one another. Smiling some, before Ruby sighed. Weiss had a feeling what the issue was, but decided to ask anyway.

"Ruby, are you okay. Really?" Weiss asked, kindly pulling Ruby in for a comforting hug as Ruby let out a small growl of annoyance with the obviously not so favorable situation at hand

"I am kind of, but…I just don't get it. Why can't they just believe us?" Ruby explained, as she found it so odd that the Council was so willing to let any other reasonable expiation on the true enemy be just that. The quote one quote 'True' enemy "I mean I know we've had some issues with them. But they should at least know we aren't petty as to make the Reapers up and lie to them ya know?"

"I know. I know, it irritates me too. But… you know when I think on it more, I can see their side of this as well." Weiss stated, as Ruby gave her a curious look. Much to the girl's amusement as she notice a bench to their right. Moving herself and Ruby over to it, before taking a seat and then cleared her throat before explaining to her little rose what she meant "What I mean Ruby. Is that, we have to face the facts that despite us being from this universe, we're 50,000 years apart from everyone else. That and we do have powers no one else here does. So, it is safe to say. They do have SOME reasons to be wary of us, even now."

"Yeah…I guess, but still…" Ruby pouted more, as she hated to admit it. But Weiss did have some good points there, she didn't like it but she also could see the viewpoints Weiss was bring up

"Indeed. Thought there's that, but also the fact that the mere existence of a Reaper is pretty scary. I mean considering what we know when it comes to this world we find ourselves in and how they view AI. I can't blame people or even the council much on wanting to simply just deny the very thought that AI already has surpassed organics." Weiss continued on explaining, but wasn't just done yet as she sighed too. Now resting her head a bit against Ruby's shoulder "I guess the most important reason I can see though. Is the fact, they just don't want people to panic and ruin this peace we have. Who can blame them. It's NICE here, it's quiet and peaceful. Coupled with the fact most no matter what ward they're in, probably really only have to deal with everyday problems. Then again, I can't blame anyone for wanting to keep the peace. Besides, who are we to disrupt what peace these people have. I don't know, I hate seeing the councils views here. But I do and yet I know we need to somehow show these people the real threat out there. It's kind of tiring… hehe."

"Yeah…yeah it is. Hey Weiss, mind if we just stay here for a bit. Enjoy this quiet time between us. That and let me enjoy having you snuggle against me too?" Ruby mused, as she rested her head on top of Weiss and grabbed her hand again in a loving hold

"Of course, besides we can count this as one of dates. Nice and quiet with the girl I love." Weiss muttered, smiling a bit more in pure bliss at this moment of finally relaxation after what they had recently dealt with

"I love you too." Ruby simply whispered back, as she was already feeling comfy and warm

With that, the two lovers of red and white. Took this moment to simply relax, enjoying a small little date and forget all their worries. Even if it was only for a bit…

Elsewhere, what seemed to be a long ten minutes of making her way back to the Normandy. Elizabeth has just finished explaining to the crew. Consisting of all the Remnant Natives that remained on the ship, the group of survivors that were rescued from Remnant, the synthetic crew members, Kirrahe along with his men, the non-humans of her teammates, her human teammates, Doctor Chakwas, Presley and Adams. Who all had been called down to get the memo on what was going on, Joker already having been told beforehand when Elizabeth got back on the Normandy. To say he was NOT happy on bit.

Though Elizabeth couldn't blame Joker there, though as she just finished explaining what was going on for the time to the others well; their reaction to it was obvious….

"WHAT?"

"COME ON!?"

"YOU'RE KIDDING ME?"

"BURN THE COUNCIL!"

Those were the current feelings, plus a few more from the crew and their guest for the time being on this ship. Again not that Elizabeth blamed them for their reactions, though she'd have to talk to Nora on her "BURN THE COUNCIL!" statement. For all she knew, the hyperactive yet surprisingly scary at times ginger haired girl could be good on her words there. Still all that aside, Elizabeth was happy at least that she and the girls weren't the only ones to feel upset here. Heck even Kirrahe and his men, though not saying anything. Did seem disappointed with the Councils decision here. So that was just another plus in this.

"I know, I KNOW everyone. But it's the hand we we're dealt with and sadly nothing we can do about it for the time being." Elizabeth replied to her upset crew and guests, again happy to see she and the girls weren't alone on this

"Those stupid head councilors. They're…they're, well stupid!" Emerald stated, as she was sitting on the shoulders of Wallace alongside her brother Mercury

"CUTE!" Kianna and her girlfriend Ziara stated, having been swoon by the two adorable kids of Cinder

"I KNOW RIGHT!" Cinder stated in her proud mama mode, always unable to NOT gush about her kids when they were being cute

"Geez, read the room please…" Annabelle muttered, as she was starting to realize the small little curse of the 'Getting out focus of the main subject by accident' the crew seemed to be inflicted by was real and now it seemed to be infecting the non-crew members too

"ANYWAYS!" Ingrid exclaimed, loudly though her throat hurt since she was never use to raising her voice like this; but it was needed "Ahem, sorry. Anyways, that aside. I'll agree with Emerald here. Look maybe most of us haven't seen these so call 'Reapers' or 'Sovereign' up close. Considering what most of us just went through and have been dealing with. I think I can say, we all believe you on who the real threat is and why we needed to get to Ilos fast."

"Wait we?" Ashely this time asked, not missing the fact Ingrid said 'We', as in all of them too sort of 'We'

"Of course. While the rest of you were topside helping keep the ship repaired when we made our way here. The rest of us down here talked and agreed, that we'd all like to lead a hand too in helping you stop this Reaper and Saren." Enzar exclaimed, as the rest of the non-crew members all nodded In agreement, even Kirrahe and his team

"W-We're grateful for the help. But at least for some of you. Will that be alright with your higher ups?" Elizabeth asked, as she didn't want to step on anyone's toes at the moment; though she was quite happy for the extra back up. Seeing the small smiles or nods of agreement from her crewmates, indicated they appreciated it too

"Maybe. But considering what we're going up against. It would be in our best interest to help you all." Edward chimed in this time, with a friendly smile

"That and despite our differences here and there. It's oblivious we'll needed to band together. Even if it's for a few missions or so." Melania remarked as despite their more so anti-alien beliefs. She and her twin sister were what most would considering the least xenophobic of their little group

"With that said. We're gonna needed to find some spots that haven't been taken down here. Because and I'm taking a guess only. But I'm pretty sure the girls and their little group sleep down here mostly. Meaning NOT a lot of rooms." Neo stated, looking at the Remnants "Am I spot on or kind of off there?"

"You are a hundred precent correct here young lady." Ozpin exclaimed, taking a sip from his somehow never bloody ending cup of coffee; though by this point no one question it… mostly

"Also no worries here new buddies. We usually sleep in a small circle with one another. Girls on one side and boys on the other." Nora exclaimed happily as she pointed to the Mako on the far right of the currently "When Garrus here usually isn't tinkering with the dang guns-"

"I keep telling you those guns need constant calibrating Nora!" Garrus argued, though it sounded like it was a rather usual sort of argument which was as weird as it seemed

"And I keep telling you, you need more hobbies dude!" Nora argued back, before sticking her tongue out at the older brother like Turian; then after quickly getting back to what she was saying before being interrupted "But as I was SAYING. But when someone here isn't doing constant unneeded calibrations. Me and the girl usually go behind it and rest there."

"And us guys usually sleep near where Ashely works at." Jaune chimed in, pointing to the work bench their left and with a few sleeping bags piled in a corner

"Wait is that why all that sleeping equipment is piled there. I just thought Elizabeth was a prepper." Ashely said, as that now made WAY more sense on why some many sleeping bags were piled next to the workbench she used often

"That and is that why the Mako is pushed out a bit?" Wrex asked this time, as some of the others looked seeing that their trusty Mako was indeed push out a good few feet or so then it's originally positioning

"Huh it is… huh." Kaiden muttered, as he was currently just for the heck of it. Holding Zewi in his arms as he pet the small mutts head

"Ruff!" Zewi barked, before letting out a small yawn

"I know right. How in the world did you girls manage to move the Mako so far away?" Liara questioned, having somehow developed a way to somehow understand Zewi

"That and, isn't it kind of uncomfortable laying on the ground off all of you?" Kirina asked, as she'd never been one for camping or any sort of out of home or bed slumber. Despite being a commando oddly enough

"Trust us on this friend Kirina. We've gotten us to the hard floor." Penny answered first

"That and those sleeping bags we used are extra padded. SO, no real issues when it comes to taking a good rest or nap even." Fox answered next, as he really liked sleeping in those sleeping bags. They felt always so very nice

"Also trust me on this. By this point in time, we could sleep pretty much anywhere with no real issues." Kianna said last, as she cracked her neck a bit "Hehe, okay me not as much yet since I've been here a little less than the others."

"That said I've personally caught Adams sleeping under the table upstairs when he can." Zaria mused as everyone quickly looked to the ships engineer

"What. Sometimes I need silence and sharing a sleeping space with the others can get loud at times." Adams explained in a slightly defensive tone "And for you information, under the table upstairs is actually kind of relaxing and cozy."

"Well it's not as bad as when I caught Presley once sleeping in the back corner of the cockpit. I have no idea still how Joker didn't notice him." Pyrrha stated as now everyone looked to Presley

"I was tired okay. You try sleeping in those pods downstairs. Not fun at all and I'd have asked Karen here to sleep on one of the cots in her clinic. But I think they were filled up by that time so no luck there." Presley said, as he truly did NOT like sleeping in those stasis pods; always gave him nightmare for the eight hours every time he used it

"Chakwas and I keep telling you. A man your age needs more rest, Chief Navigator or not." Poppy scolded a little, much to Presley's slight annoyance at the fact he was being bumped in as 'Old' now

"I'm not that old." Presley responded back, rolling his eyes a bit and crossing his arms

"You kind of are dude." Neptunia and Ilia remarked, amused a little before looking at each other even more amused that they sync that one "AH, NICE!"

"Oh dear lord… it's in stereo now." Roman muttered, pinching the bridge of his nose as it seemed there were now TWO Neptunia's

"This… this happens a lot doesn't it?" Reyna muttered to Garrus and Tali who were the closest to her

"Yeah…" Tali replied back, sighing somewhat as she wondered how this even became a normal standard for their odd little family of misfits

"Oh indeed, A LOT." Garrus answered next, much more amused as this was slight payback for having to be hounded by the older female Turian when they were still back on Remnant

"This… this does bode well for my own sanity." Reyna muttered as she was starting to realize this crew was most likely filled with insane maniacs or at least folks who were a bit off their rockers

"Trust me on this Turian sister from another mister. Sanity is a thing of the past for all of you." Velvet simply explained, like it was a fact more than opinion here. Though this also came from the fact her darling Coco had been affecting her with her odd brand of bluntness. That and Kadian who seemed to go into a big brother role with her; turned out to be quite blunt also

"Joy…" Most of the new crewmates who weren't speaking right now, and had been able to hear Velvets little comment said. Realizing that the bunny eared girl was NOT lying one bit there, that and she had no hesitation for the answer which only cemented her honesty

Though during all that, it seemed that ONCE again the Elizabeth was trying to keep Presley calm as possible as he argued with Poppy mainly, though Adams was sighing at his old friends behavior. While Doctor Chakwas was doing the same. Though more from how blunt Poppy was being here.

"For the LAST time. Just because I'm balding and have greying hair. DOES NOT MEAN I AM OLD!" Presley for the last time argued with the suborn pink nurse themed Geth

"And for the last time, you as you are could be considered-"Poppy began to explain, before Elizabeth quickly cut

"Okay stop, STOP right now you two. We are NOT getting into another off the original conversation… uh… conversation. You know what I mean!" Elizabeth quickly stated, as she gave Presley and Poppy a slight stern stare as both let it be…for now. Sighing in relief she smiled a little "Good. Anyways, I'm going to be in my room for a bit. I need to make a call or two. The girls are out right now in the Presidium. If any of you want to go out for a bit. Here's your chance."

"Actually Elizabeth, we all agreed to stay in the ship for now and I think it would be the best to do so." Ren stated, as some of the others silently agreed with the young man

"Yeah I'm gonna be honest here and no offense to you. But you don't seem like the call in a plan sort of girl. More of the, improvise and last minuet sorts." Dizzerella exclaimed, as nicely as she could to the woman who's ship they stayed upon

"From some of the files I MAY have skimmed over when I got bored and hack into Systems Alliance central network." Neo remarked, as she didn't seem to care if some of the other Alliance members either gave her slight glares or just sighed at the proclamation "I gotta say. You lady, have a real big rep sheet of and take no offense again here. I'm only reading what was stated, but you have a rep for real quote 'Moronic and near suicidal' improvised plans."

"Take it from the ones that have been stuck with our crazy boss here since the beginning. That's an understatement." Garrus added in, smirking a little as he decided to take this as a moment to tease Elizabeth who was currently giving him the stink eye

"That and the fact she really is kind of an odd ball." Pyrrha stated now, before giving Elizabeth a kindly smile "In the most best of ways of course."

"Oh yeah she is…real odd. Hehe." Tali by mistake said out loud in a rather pleasured tome, much to her sudden embarrassment and Elizbeth's when everyone stared right at the Quarian

"Oh ho, ho. Please do tell more sister from another species mister." Coco ordered, with a big smirk as her inner gossip gal was screaming for the 'Juicy' details

"Thank god we covered the kids ears at least…" Edward whispered to the oddly friendly Oscar, who he KNEW belong to the terrorist cell Cerberus; but sighed inside a little that his girlfriend and even sister seemed to have forgotten that bit of info. Still he kept his quiet as they so far didn't seem bad, and they'd need all the help they could get

Still meanwhile as everyone was staring at Tali, who was staring at Elizabeth just daring the N7 Spectre to run if she wanted to sleep on the floor tonight in her room. Elizabeth was doing all she could to NOT pass out from the embarrassment that was staring to form from her crew and temp crew for now.

Elizabeth sometimes wonder. Did God hate her somehow, because if so. Aside from having many issues with her faith during her younger years. She wondered if God was REALLY up there considering the supernatural she'd face lately. Elizabeth again wondered, was there some way to make it up to God.

That or maybe she really just had some bad luck. Either way, she at least hoped the girls were having a MUCH better time in the Citadel then she was at the moment. A mother/mother-in-law could only hope.

As all that oddness was occurring within the metal plated walls of the Normandy. Downside in the wards, Blake and Yang had just finished making a purchase from the Volus Vender Yang spoke of. Who herself was happily holding a new slim black backpack that was big enough to hold a lunch and drink in at least alongside a lot of important documents if need be.

"Thanks again sir!" Yang happily stated, as she and placed her backpack on herself, Blake glad to see Yang was seeming MUCH happier now which made her happy in return

"You're welcome [Inhale] Earth Clan, and please remember [Inhale] to tell your friends and family about my great prices [Deep inhale]!" The Volus merchant replied back, as Yang and Blake made their way off near the center of the area

Once there, Yang and Black both decided to take a moment and just enjoy the site before them. Still as wonderous like the first time they arrived in this era. It was still breathtaking as ever. Blake deciding to rest up against Yang a little. Let out a small sigh of relief to even have this kind of moment considering what had only occurred not even a few days ago.

"Such a nice view isn't it Yang?" Blake asked, as she sometimes found it hard to believe everything that had happened since they first arrived in this current era

"It really is. Heh, you know I could spend an eternity here with you. Just looking at this view." Yang muttered, smiling a sort of melancholy sort of gaze. Much to Blakes slight surprise as she'd never seen her girlfriend make that sort of look until now

"I see. Though I don't think it would be healthy for either of us if that was the case, besides. I'm sure the kids would get rowdy after a while if that's all we did. Pretty or not." Blake slightly teased, as she smirked when she saw Yang flinch a little at the words; that and the small smile that formed on her face for a few moments before going back to a more calm look

"Kids…" Yang muttered, as that did bring a flutter to her heart when Blake mentioned the future of theirs with kids. Sure some may not want kids ever, but she always had. Maybe in way to give a little boy or girl a chance to have a mother fully in their lives instead of either running away or sadly dying. Averting her gaze some, she felt a little nervous asking Blake this next question that came to mind "Y.. You're serious about kids… kids from me and you… right?"

"Of course I do. Not now of course, we're still teens and near adults. Even then, we'll need to make a life that could support our family later on. Besides considering our goddess like origins. I'm sure we could ahem…find a way to get me pregnant. With you being the fully biological father of course. Though hopefully they don't come out born with well… runes like we're stuck with now. Still it could be done, once we learn more about our powers." Blake explained, sweetly nuzzling a bit closer to Yang. Though a sly smirk of glee at learning how to do such a 'Feat' like getting Yang to knock her up, did slip and she couldn't wait for that day

"Ha, I guess that's true. But you sure you'd want to be the ones to carry the kids?" Yang questioned as she'd be fine with carrying the kids whenever they ACTUALLY decided they were ready of course

"Call it a byproduct of being part cat. But trust me on this, I'll be carrying the kids; besides you would SO the father-mother between us both." Blake answered, happy that it seemed Yang was fully on board with that later to be plan of theirs

"Yeah that's true. Hey, maybe I can teach em some good old puns too." Yang teased back finally, almost laughing when she saw her Blakey's ears flatten in slight fear of that possibility "'Haha, kidding. Kidding. Mostly."

"Funny. But seriously don't, I love you dear. But your puns are SO bad." Blake responded back, half amused and half relived as she and Yang laughed some after that. Though once that died down, Blake couldn't help but notice Yang was still seeming out of it "Yang, seriously though and please don't lie. Are you okay?"

"… You're talking about the meeting right?" Yang muttered, but just loud enough for Blake to hear her

"I am. I'll admit too, I wasn't too happy and thanks to you. Avoiding causing more issues between us and the council with my little almost near attack on that jerk Sparatus." Blake remarked, hoping that would help ease Yang a bit to talking more on this subject

"Yeah, but let's be honest. You'd have kicked his scale covered butt easily." Yang mused, Blake giggled some. Before she sighed and looked back out at the view before then "Still guess you could say I'm not as happy as I seem to be…it's just I can't get why they're so damn against the POSSIBLE idea of Reapers and Saren's real goals. A little faith would be nice, ya know what I mean babe?"

"I do. I can't blame you either, I feel the same way too. Honestly we'll just have to take matters into our own hands if that's what it takes. Speaking of, I'm sure that's what your mom is going to try to do. So no worries okay?" Blake stated as she was fully faithful on the idea that Eilzabeth was thinking of some way to end the lockdown on the Normandy

"I guess so. Hehe, what would I do without that cool head of yours?" Yang mused, both she and Blake sharing a quick kiss. Before Yang decided to do something else for pure curiosity "Hey mind if we stop by the Flux for a moment?"

"Sure but why, I never pegged you to be a gambler." Blake questioned, not against going to the Flux; which was ten times more safer than Chora's Den. But she was curious either way on why exactly

"I'm not. BUT… I do remember something odd the last time we were there. I wanted to take a quick look at what those Quasar games even were about since they seemed really popular. Personally didn't really see the appeal to them, but eh. To each is own. "Yang started off, doing a small shrug before getting back to the main subject "Anyways. I remember seeing one of the machines in the way back acting odd. Like real odd, I didn't say much since we were busy and we needed to book it. But, again I just wanted to see if it was still acting odd or maybe someone fixed it."

"Oh okay. Sure lets go, hey maybe we'll run into some other folks who need help while we're here." Blake joked, as she and Yang began making their way over to the path way that lead into the Flux

Though as they did, walking up the steps and such. They quickly notice a man around his early thirties and in Alliance issued fatigues. Waving at them suddenly, seeming like he was calling them over for a chat. Both young ladies stopped for a moment, Yang chuckling some as Blake sighed; but smiled at the same time at the odds of her little joke coming true.

"Hehe. Nice guess skills Blakey babe. Maybe you could predict we win a huge stash of credits next." Yang joked a bit, as she chuckled some more while she felt a small light punch from her kitten which only made Yang chuckle louder

"Heh, yeah laugh it up. Still was just joking on that. Didn't really think we'd run into someone who needs help. Oh well, come on Yang let's see what the man needs help with." Blake remarked, as she began moving closer to the man hailing them in; Yang following as she ceased her chuckling

Once both were there though, they hadn't expected the man to be so hyperactive and cheerful. But he really was and it was a slight scare if only for a moment. When it came to his introduction to them.

"Ah perfect, two of the new humans. Pleasure to meet you ladies, my names Elias Keeler and I need help from people like you who I know have humanities best interest at heart!" Elias in a loud tone stated, firm yet hyperactive as Blake at least keep herself from cringing just a little from how loud the man was being

Yang quickly took notice of that too, and to avoid her kitten from attacking the loud man out of pure irritation if this kept going. She decided to take over with the talking for now.

"Okay easy there Elias, you look like you had a little too much de-cafe this morning. Just take a moment, but also please explain what you need help with." Yang said, doing her best to imitate her mother Elizabeth in a way and how she always seemed to be calm no matter the situation

"Ah I see, straight business then. Good. That's why Humanity has the best damn fleet here!" Elis exclaimed with a sense of pride before he got to the point of this exchange in dialogue "Anyways. Like I said, my name is Elias Keeler. I'm an Alliance negotiator and soon we'll be having a big session with the Salarian's. We have a lot riding on this too, I'm doing my part to fight for Humanity here. Just like you and Commander Shepard are out there!" Elias in a slightly softer tone explained, but still with a hint of deep dedication to his job

Blake by this point decided to take over as she could see Yang cringed a little having to deal with what was from her guess. A Political situation they just got themselves stuck in, before Yang could reply that was when Blake cut in.

"Okay we get it, this is VERY important. But please can you tell us exactly why you need our help in this manner?" Blake asked, as she could tell this guy really was doing his job and loved it. So she has no reason to be rude or stern with this man in the first place

"Simply put, for me to be at my best. I need resources from the market itself, more in fact a mental stimulus. It improves cognitive function and alertness in one. Perfect for those in jobs like mine." Elias explained, but was cut off by Blake before he could continue

"Wait you want us to buy you drugs?!" Balke asked, a little shock at that fact and a bit upset to being asked such a thing. Though Elias seemed a little offended if barley at the accusation

"Please what do you take me for. A Vorcha, no don't worry these are fully legal and used monthly. Which sadly for me I've used up already and at the worst time with this deal between the Salarian's coming up." Elias explained, though that didn't seem to sit right with the girls as if that was the case; they believed Elias still have some of this stimulus if his job is so important

"OKAY… before we even agree. What EXACTLY is this stimulus supposed to be?" Yang asked now, as she and Blake noticed some puncture marks om the man's neck. Barely noticeable too if one weren't looking at the exact spot, which only the girls had notice because of this situation in the first place

"Like I said, it simply improves ones cognitive functions and awareness. Don't really know the terms of it, but I need more from med-lab and fast. Because when I take it, nothing ever gets past me in meetings. This trade deal could have a big impact if all goes right." Elias explained once more, though Blake and Yang were getting uneasy now

Mainly since they could start to tell. That maybe, just…MAYBE Elias had taken more of this supposed 'Legal' stim then he was supposed to and got himself addicted. He was already showing some signs too of early withdraws. But neither wanted to just say it since they didn't know if the man's temperament had been effected as well.

"Right, can I ask. But if these drugs are given to you monthly. How did you go over the limit?" Yang carefully questioned, hoping that was subtle enough to not sound demanding to Elias

"It was the previous meetings with the Salarian's before this one, they're were just so rough and long. I needed the stims to keep me half awake and alert in half those meetings before this one coming up rather soon." Elias said, clam as ever but the girls noticed he seemed slight more defensive now all of sudden "The negotiations were supposed to be last week. But the Salarian's stalled it, probably deliberately. So if I don't get more of this stimulant. I'll be a wreck and my assistant will have to take over. That's a disaster waiting to happen if he does."

"Whoa dude. You should maybe put a little more trust in your assistant I mean you did train him didn't you?" Yang argued, as she and Blake found it a little rude at how dismissive Elias seemed when it came to his fellow workers

"Pff, my assistant wants to simply bend over backwards for the Citadel Races. He says we should be showing them our more reasonable side can you believe it. No race will respect us until we show them who's boss, it worked for the Turians. So it can work for us too." Elias ranted a bit, as Blake at least did her best to not roll her eyes at Elias words

"Sure, that won't make any enemies now will it?" Blake sarcastically mused, before deciding to just ask about tis ever so 'Important' deal "What's this deal even about anyways, how come it's so important?"

"Because the Salarian's are talking about planning long term trade agreements. You have any idea how many credits this could make for the Alliance, no Humanity for the future." Elias explained, before sighing "That's why I NEED this drug. If I don't we're screwed, hear me. Screwed!"

At this time Yang and Blake looked to one another. Yang giving a Blake a silent question if she wanted her to say it or if Blake wanted to say it herself. In the end Blake smiled as she patted Yang's back, a way of saying 'I can handle it dear'. So Yang nodded that she understood, before she let Blake just say what was on both their minds.

"Look, Elias. I can see this is a VERY stressful and important manner. I can also see why you think you need this drug. But truth is, you have problem. You've become addicted to that stimulus. You don't need more of that stuff, you need treatment and now." Blake explained in stern, yet kind manner to the man who she did feel bad for since it seemed he was just doing his part to help out his race. Maybe a little dismissive and strongheaded, but with good intent

"Heh…it might look that young lady. But this is just a onetime slip up here. I mean all the top negotiators on stimulus close to the legal limit of use. It's just how the game is played." Elias tried to counter argue, but Blake and Yang weren't letting up as Yang cut in

"Right then why don't we see all the other top negotiators trying to get help from strangers to go over the limit here?" Yang exclaimed, as Elias seemed to pause for a moment as if that struck a chord with him

"Hm, maybe your right. I've been trying to keep humanity string and maybe pushed myself a bit TOO hard. Alright look this is gonna be the last time I use that stuff. After this deal is done with, I'll get treatment." Elias admitted, though tried once more to make some kind of compromise with Blake and Yang who weren't going to budge on this even now

"Ah no again dude. Look no trade negotiation. Even one supposedly as important as this one. Could be at all worth your life, you need to let it go and help NOW." Yang reiterated, as Blake beamed in silent pride at how well Yang was displaying her more professional side

"You don't understand, Humanity needs me, and I need that stimulant. Without it I…I…" Elias began to yell, only to seem to mellow out as he slumped a little rubbing his eyes and seeming much more tired all of sudden "I don't know any more okay. I just…. I just get so tried when I don't have my stims. All I need is one last boost…just one more…"

Blake and Yang could only look at the man with sympathy, they could tell he truly did probably want to do what he could to help Humanity and got himself hooked on a drug doing so. Blake decided to take over yet again. As she gently patted the man's right shoulder with a kind smile as he looked back up at the two young women.

"Hey now it's going to be fine. There's no shame admitting you have a problem, but if you really want to help Humanity. You need to help yourself first okay?" Blake kindly stated, as she was felt good to be helping someone out like this

Sure saving the galaxy made her feel amazing and that she was making a huge difference. But small things such as this. We're again smaller, but still as important feats of good and kindness. Still Elias finally seemed to be coming around, as he sighed but kept his gaze upon Blake and Yang.

"You're right. I…I'll tell my assistant and get myself checked in. I just am sorry it came to this." Elias said, with some shame in his tone

"Hey dude everyone makes mistakes. The fact that you're admitting this and getting help is a big step. Just get better okay?" Yang added in, reassuring the man who smiled some at the kind words

"I will and I know we'll probably never speak again face to face. But if you ever need a favor or so, call the Alliance embassy on earth and ask for me. I'm sure I can help you and your friends out one way or another. Anyways thank you again and have a good day." Elias stated. Before making his way off down the hallway that lead to the wards

Once out of sight, Blake and Yang couldn't help but feel pride in themselves along with each other. Before looking at one another and smiling much wider for a moment or so. Then yang offered Blake her arm, who happily took it as they continued their way to the Flux.

"You know I'll admit that was odd. But I'm real glad we we're able to help that guy out ya know?" Yang mused, as she did feel good helping someone out

"I do. Still, I hope that's the last of issues we have to deal with. I'm mostly still worried about how we're gonna get off this station hopefully soon." Blake replied back, frowning a little as she and Yang climbed up the stairs leading into the Flux

As they entered the building, they saw the usual sights there. People just dancing, drinking, talking or gambling upstairs. Yang lead Blake upstairs, as they moved over to a Quasar machine that was in the far right back corner of the upstairs floor like Yang had said. Stopping, Yang mostly though Blake too. Were glad to see said machine didn't seem off or being tampered with.

"Well that's good to see. Maybe it was just a glitch or something last time I saw it." Yang happily said, relived that maybe it was just her imagination playing with her and making her think TOO much into a small glitch it seemed, Looking to Blake she gave a quick peck on the girls forehead just because "Anyways. Want to get out here now. I remember seeing a food stand that was just set up down here. A multi-cultural accessible one so I'm sure they got food we'd like."

"Of course, but they better have tuna." Blake joked a little, as she playfully punched Yang's right shoulder

Both girls simply laughed, before making their way out again. Though they didn't notice the machine they were just at. Sparking up, before it began to run numbers through the screen itself. Then shut off, but it wasn't like that meant anything BAD in the future… right?

A good ten minutes earlier and we find ourselves at a small ice cream shop that had recently opened in the Presidium. A shop that had been suggested by some Humans in the area to be opened. That and to be accessible to all the other races. Be it regular, dextro or whatever legal could be sold as ice cream product. This place had it all in flavors and it seemed to be a big hit too so far.

Though we go to see, one Ruby and Weiss. Both enjoying their small sudden little date in the shop. Taking a table outside and eating some ice cream. Weiss having a rare sweet tooth moment. Got a small cup of Vanilla and Chocolate mixed, with a small cherry on top.

Ruby herself, had gotten a MUCH bigger bowl. A chocolate and extra dark chocolate bowl, with three scoops, chocolate syrup, chocolate chips and banana slices. All in all it was a sweet lover's dream dish, that and both girls were nearly done with the ice cream too.

"Oh this is so yummy, this was a great idea Wiess!" Ruby gleefully cheered, enjoying her sugar filled treat for the day as she'd already finished most of her bowl aside from a bit of chocolate ice cream left

"And I'm glad you like it. But you really need to cut down on the sugar Ruby. It's bad you're your health there dear if you have too much of a good thing." Weiss mused, amused but also being the concerned girlfriend as she really did think her little rose needed to lay of the sweets just a bit "Which is why I'm going to get you on a more vegetable centered diet soon."

"W-What, not you too Wiess. Mom already guilted me into laying off the cookies. Now you want me to eat those icky green plants?" Ruby replied back, a little worried as Weiss simply smirked back at the worried Ruby

"Well good then, your mother is doing what she can as a parent to keep you healthy and as your let's be honest. Unofficial wife. I get say too ad trust me when it comes to health matters. You're darling wife here is going to win." Weiss explained, half teasing and half being serious on the whole wife thing; but she'd be perfectly willing to wait for that later part in their relationship

"Hehe…ah… I guess so. Hm….okay FINE. Since my hehe, wife wants me too. Who am I to say no, besides I can't when I look at your ever so cute face of yours." Ruby exclaimed, smirking a little herself as she saw Weiss blush some at the flirty comments. Before both chuckled a little at how well.. normal they felt right now. But a few moments later once they calmed down. Ruby couldn't help but ask some more on what Weiss just said "H-Hey Weiss… we're you being um, serious you know…a-about the wife thing?"

"Well… yeah. I mean not like now, but it would be nice and I'm more than willing." Weiss answered, smiling as she held Ruby's left hand. Both girls smiling at one another. Before she showed the ring on her finger from a while ago "But again. No rush okay, just when you feel ready. Besides we have these anyways so that's pretty much a yes in the whole marriage thing in the first place."

"Well you do know technically Amber gave Coco those to give us so…" Ruby joked some, before she saw Weiss playfully roll her eyes. Ruby gushed internally at the cuteness that was her Weiss "BUT, the thought counts. My lovely snow bride."

"Hm. Keep with the sweets words and I'll be making you walk funny for the next week when we get back to the Normandy." Weiss flirted as Ruby was really liking that idea

But after a moment of silence. Both began to laugh loudly now, mainly because neither ever thought they'd find their loved one and be so flirty with one another. But considering the oddness that had been this whole mission so far. Maybe this wasn't as surprising as they thought it was.

Though the moment of bonding between the two loved ones was cut off when they sudden heard yelling occur from a bit aways from where they sat. Looking over they saw I was a Turian C-Sec Officer yelling at an Hanar. Most people who also noticed seemed to decide to leave it be, but ever since starting this mission. Mosly Weiss, Blake and Yang had become much more opened to helping strangers out or resolving issues. Ruby had already been like that so…yeah.

Still the couple looked to one another, nodding that they had the same idea. Quickly finished the remainder of their treats. Without having brain freeze after. Then got up, already having paid and made their way over to the arguing officer and civilian. Quickly soon hearing some of the argument itself.

"For the last time, you can't be preaching here and I am KINDLY asking you to vacate the premise before I have to take you in." the Turian C-Sec officer argued, as he sounded at his wits end with speaking to the Hanar

"This one does not see the need for forceful actions. This one is only sharing the wisdom of his gods." The Hana in their usual calm speech, exclaimed seeming to be truly confused on why he was being threatened with being arrested for simply sharing his teaching of his gods

"UGH!" The Turian C-Sex Officer growled, before moving a few feet away from the Hanar. Pinching the bridge of his plated covered nose; before noticing two of the new humans of all people walking right up to him. So clearing his throat and straightening himself as they stopped a few inches away from him. He addressed the two "Ahem ah…yes, did you need something young ladies?"

"Actually yes. Me and my wife here noticed the commotion just now. Anything we can help with?" Ruby answered so calmly, as Weiss did all she could to no squeal in delight at how easily Ruby just called her; her wife

"Hm…maybe. I just can't seem to get through that thick Jelly fishes skull that he's not allowed to be preaching up here. Why can't it act in an orderly manner?" The Turian C-Sec officer explained, huffing a bit from how infuriating the Hanar was being with him

"Well I don't see how that's an issue. He's not hurting anyone, I'm sure if you just kept a more open mind about it. You'd see that." Ruby argued back a little, as Weiss decided to let Ruby take it reins this time

"Look, I don't care what the sack of goo is preaching personally. The problem is that he's doing it on Presidium Grounds without and permit to do so." The Turian C-sec officer explained, before sighing again and rubbing his eyes this time from the pure frustration "I'd have arrested him already. But the Hanar are, let's just say they're very… vocal when they feel as if their religionists beliefs are being oppressed. I don't need that on my record thank you very much."

"Ah okay so you're having a problem finding a less reputation harming way to have the Hanar either stop preaching all together or for him to get a permit. How close to nose am I on that?" Weiss summarized, though the Turian gave her an odd look, having not hear that saying before

"Right…um, if I think what your saying is well; what you're saying. Then YES, that's the issue. Look if you want to give it try then be my guests. I don't care if you get the Hanar to leave all together or somehow convince him to but a permit. It will do, just don't blame me if you end up getting a headache afterwards." The Turian C-sec officer exclaimed. As Ruby and Weiss gave him a small nod that they understood what was being asked of them

The two then moved over to the Hanar. Who only after a few seconds finally took notice of them and considering what's been confirmed by the public of the New Humans and the Protheans relation. This Hanar quickly began to do what he could to not get to excited being in the presence of such beings. His brother talked to two of them a while back asking for direction for one of their own. So he swore this was just fate.

"T-This one is in the presence of greatness. This one does not feel worthy of being in the presence of one so close to the Enkindlers. But t-this one sees though the great ones want to speak to I, what can I your humble servant do for ones such as you today?" The Hanar stated, nervous but keeping as calm as he could in the presence of such divine beings before him

"Right um…" Ruby began to say, but she was still really getting use to the fact that it seemed to be true that the Hanar really did see her and the other native Remnants as gods too. Oh great, that wasn't going to make things easier in the future

"What my little wife is trying to say. Is that we noticed that C-Sec Officer over there, seeming to be arguing with you." Weiss quickly chimed in, as she noticed how caught off guard Ruby was from what the Hanar just said to them; that and she noticed Ruby blushing some. Probably because of her 'Little Wife' comment which was what she'd been going for, so mission accomplished there

"The Great One of white is correct. This one was simply expressing and sharing our faiths message to those who were willing to lend an ear. I do not understand why though the officer was upset with me." The Hanar explained to the Great Ones before him

"I see. Well I can tell you're being honest here. But I think at least for now you should cease doing so. Not that we don't appreciate your faith or your simple want to share said beliefs. But neither us or the Enkindlers would want you to do so, if that means breaking the laws of society." Weiss explained, as nicely as she could since she didn't see the harm herself. Aside from the permit issue, the Hanar wasn't causing trouble

Though their apparent new 'Great Ones' status amongst the Hanar at least was helpful at least in this situation. That and coupled with the fact at least she and the girls were reincarnations from old world near God like Goddesses. She wasn't lying technically so there was that.

Thankfully her words seemed to have gotten the Hanar to think for a moment. Before he seemed to slump a bit, it was kind of hard to tell considering the Hanar were floating Jellyfish. Still at least it seemed Weiss words had gotten through, she hoped at least.

"Hm… this one does see the logic in the Great One of white. This one humbly ask's for your forgiveness." The Hanar apologized, though before Weiss could reply back. Ruby finally decided to cut in, as she gently patted the what she guess was right front shoulder of the Hanar

"Hey now. Don't feel bad okay buddy, you're just trying to be as polite as possible with spreading the words of your faith. You weren't being harmful or harassing anyone so again don't feel bad about it okay?" Ruby kindly stated, as she gave the Hanar a warm smile "Besides. No one said you couldn't keep preaching. But we only want you to do it through legal means, just go and get a permit okay. Then you can come back down here and legally preach. So don't get so down okay?"

"Th… This one is truly blessed for such kind words. This one still feels somewhat unworthy of such wise words, but they are appreciated either way. This one will do so and will be back to spread the word to all who are willing to listen. This one thanks you Great One of Red, this one wishes you both a good day." The Hanar exclaimed, feeling as if this moment had been one of the most important to ever occur and was at peace knowing he'd been given such wise words

Though once the Hanar was far away, Ruby and Weiss sighed in relief that this issue went over easier than they expected. Weiss giving Ruby a quick hug, proud of the kind words from the slightly younger girl. Ruby hugged Weiss back, proud of the quick thinking Weiss did when she herself was caught off guard at how much the Hanar seem to look at them as Goddess already. But the moment was interrupted when they heard a 'Ahem'. Looking back the saw the Turian C-Sec Officer who'd walked over to them, seeing that the Hanar was gone now.

"Apologizes for cutting this… moment short. But I noticed you handled the Hanar. Now with that problem out of the way I can get back to my usual patrol routes. Anyways I can't pay you two for this, but I can at least say thank you. So thank you for the help ladies, enjoy the rest of the day." The Turian C-Sec Officer stated, before giving the two a nod before making his way off

It wasn't too long before the Turian C-Sec officer was gone from sight now too, with that Ruby and Weiss let out two more sighs of relief. As they still weren't fully trust worthy of C-Sec. Not that they didn't think they're were any REALLY bad individuals in it. Just ever since the first time they came here, learning of the Shadow Broker when they went to go save Tali.

The girls of team RWBY since then had always been a bit wary of anyone they didn't know well, since during break times between past mission. They had done some research into the enigma of the Shadow Broker with not much for it even now. Still they were wary none the less. Still, Weiss wrapped herself around Ruby's right arm happy they can get back to their date.

"Well that was fun. But now let's see if we can enjoy this date some more." Weiss suggested, with a rather… seductive smile as Ruby had a feeling Weiss was having some plans to find a nice hotel and rent out a room for a bit

"Hm. Well then l-" Ruby started to say, before her omni began to beep. Both she and Weiss confused for a moment, before Ruby took the call

-"Ruby, Weiss you there?"- Elizabeth asked from the other side of the call, which Ruby and Weiss quickly began to hope that the woman had been able to figure out some way for them to leave soon on the Normandy to get to Ilos

"Yeah were here mom, something come up?" Ruby replied back, as she and Weiss really did hope this was about a way out. Besides if they had to cut their date short, it would just be better once they came back to continue it after they beat Saren

"Hopefully something good. Right?" Weiss chimed in, as they swore they could see the small smile from Elizabeth

-"Correct-O there ladies. Meet me, Blake and Yang at the Flux. Seems like Andersons got word of what happened from his sister who made a call to him. I guess our little disappearance was kept on the down low. So he wants to talk to us. That aside, the Flux. Double time it girls."- Elizabeth explained, before ending the call viva-omni tool

"That's mom for you. Always able to get us out of a bad situation. Come on Weiss, double time!" Ruby said, doing a rather cute impression of her mother

"Hehe and ever the silly girl you are. Still let's get to it." Weiss remarked, as she and Ruby began to quickly make their way over to the Flux

Hopefully by the end of this meet up, they'd be away from the Citadel. Flying from it on the Normandy and off to Ilos. Well, they hoped at least and really prayed that nothing would go wrong during what they assumed was a plan to get off the station to resume their mission.

It was now time. The girls had quickly made their way over to the Flux. Meeting up with Elizabeth and Andersons who was on a small little shore leave considering the stress he'd been going through since all this Saren stuff began.

Not that the girls or Elizabeth blamed the man. Considering he must have been doing a lot in the background to keep the Council off their back for this long. They appreciated the man's efforts and defiantly agreed that he'd earned a quick shore leave.

Still once they were there, they talked a bit seeing how one another were doing, discussing the decisions made at the Council meeting and the fact that Udina in a way really did throw them under the bus. Still after that was explained. Andersons explained he had a rather interesting plan to get Elizabeth, the girls and the crew off station quickly.

That and also it was a plan that included Anderson getting a chance to hopefully give Udina a piece of his mind if only for a bit. Blake had been the one to ask if Anderson was sure about this plan of his. The older man reassured the group that he was and didn't really care what happened afterwards. Since considering what could be and most likely would be coming to attack. His part of the plan probably wouldn't be seen as such a big deal.

So now we find ourselves back on the Normandy. Joker in the cockpit seeming a little tense, Presley waiting by his station to the right as he'd be needed most likely soon. Elizabeth standing behind them, with the rest of her squad, Tali holding her hand. Team RWBY with them too, alongside team JNPR and team CVFY. All of them and the rest of the crew of the Normandy being told what was about to happen. All of them prepped for it as well, though the waiting was a bit much for some.

"UGH, when is it gonna happen. Seriously I'm getting antsy!" Nora asked in the tense silence as this waiting was killing her

"Hey just calm down Nora. I'm feeling the same way too, but getting worked up isn't gonna help." Ashely explained to the younger girl, with small smile too before she sighed "Ah who am I kidding, this waiting is a pain!"

"Well it's not like we can do anything about it. It is a bit of trip using the sky taxi to get from the ward to the Presidium at times." Kaiden chimed in, to help ease Ashely and Nora's antsy feelings a bit

"True. But I can't blame Nora and Ashely here. It's not really fun waiting on a possible escape from this place. That and even though me, and the others haven't officially meet this Anderson. From what we've heard he's a good man. So I'd feel pretty crummy personally if this plan didn't work and he got screwed over ya know?" Coco mused, as she sighed while rubbing the back of her head. She wished Penny was up here with them, but she was busy keeping the others down in the docking bay below informed on the progress of this plan in the first place alongside the others not up here

"I still say the plan I thought up could have worked." Wrex said, seeming a little oddly pouty for his plan not being used for their big escape

"Wrex no offense. But you plan involves using Zewi to sneak in a hand man bomb of you own design, then you throwing it into the office of the head executor. To cause mayhem and panic while we book it. Not even going on how many laws we'd break just by that alone, but I don't think any of us want a bounty on our heads after this mission is done with." Velvet kindly stated, as some of the others muttered in agreement. Still Velvet patted the older Krogans left arm "Still it was nice of you to make a plan either way. So thanks again Wrex."

"Personally I would been on board with the plan." Garrus remarked, as most of the others looked at him with a deadpanned gaze

"Garrus." Blake, Fox and Pyrrha simply stated as Garrus shrugged at the stares

"What the guys a prick. Maybe C-Sec would do better with someone new. But what do I know?" Garrus sassed somewhat, as he was totally NOT sorry about what he said. Some of the girls at least sighed at the statement, though believed it was just Garrus letting of some steam about his boss; so they let it be as just that

"Well either way. We'll have to wait and see-" Yatsuhashi began to explain, before suddenly the Normandy flickered for a moment off and on "Ah…what was that?"

"Presley." Elizabeth simply stated, as Presley took a moment looking at his omni-tool before answering

"Adam's and his team confirmed the Normandy's Mass Effect Drive has come back online." Presley answered quickly, before a slightly loud pitch echoed outside for a moment

"And that would be the lock down shutting off, meaning Anderson did it!" Tali sated in utter joy that the plan had ACTUALLY worked

"Well what are we waiting for. Joker, go, go, GO!" Team RWBY and Elizabeth screamed as Joker flinched for only a simple moment from the sheer volume of the order

But Joker quickly regained his composure, smirking moments later as he started moving the Normandy out of the docking bay. Seeing just coming up now from the elevator. C-Sec Officers coming out, guns pointed out and ready to use IF needed. But by this point Joker already had the Normandy turning away. Which seconds later the ship was turned fully around pointing right at the relay a bit aways. Smirking even wider and fixing his hat. He was ready to make the run.

"Alright folks, hang on!" Joker yelled, before punching the throttle to full as the Normandy bolted away

It wasn't even a minuet or two later before the Normandy was out of reach, mainly for the only now being hailed C-sec ships patrolling the space around the station. Then not even a minute later the Normandy stopped near the relay before seconds after being warped to the relay where Ilos was located at.

With that, the crew of the Normandy and all their allies, old to recent. Would have to be ready for their final mission in stopping Saren and his plan of helping Sovereign. This would be the most likely the hardest mission for any of them. But they HAD to be ready, since well…

.

.

.

This mission would be the difference between a living galaxy and a dead galaxy. No pressure, right?

And chapter end. Yay!

So yeah again not the most action packed chapter like at all, but aside from a few side missions, a good few crew mates added in. Even if only for a bit. The Ilos nearing final conclusion of this story is coming around finally.

Now to clear up a few possible bits of confusion, mainly if some of you are wondering about side quest. I decided to still do them. Just more on the side of the after chapters once the story is done.

Nothing TOO much, it will be more of an after story mini story. Also it will be only a select few after story missions. Because I'm deciding weather to do this after story section on this particular story OR making a new story itself to put the mini series on.

I won't go into anymore details yet on this after main story miniseries. Not until I have a more coherent conclusion. Though that said, if any of you have an opinion on if is should just write the miniseries chapters on this current story itself or make a new story all together for the miniseries alone. Give me a PM or tell me in the reviews.

Anyways hope you enjoyed this short if not cute and funny little chapter before the big old finale coming soon-ish. Till next time, have the greatest days you can ahead! :
