Digimon Adventure, Episode 6: Togemon in Toy Town
Izzy narrates, "We found Andrmon trapped inside a mysterious factory. After he was freed, he became a destructive maniac. I discovered a chamber with a computer program that ran entire facility. Fortunately, my laptop inside this perimeter was operational. Accessing the mainframe, I somehow tapped into Tentomon's program. He Digivolved into Kabuterimon. And with the help of Greymon, Garurumon, and Birdramon, he defeated Andromon. Apparently, Andromon's programming had been corrupted by another Black Gear."
We skip the theme song.
"Of all the strange things that happened to us on Digimon Island, I never expected to find a secret admirer in the sewer... At least not the secret admirer I was hoping for," Mimi narrated.
The DigiDestined walks down the sewer from the path Andromon had provided them. They were not aware of the set of eyes on them. The human kids are walking down one side, and the Digimon walk the other side.
"Okay, everybody, let's sing the song that Agumon wrote for us!" Tai suggested.
"Digimon eat and Digimon fight, Digimon digivolve and fight all night," the Digimon sang.
"Singing sure is fun," Palmon said.
"Now let's try some solo performances, starting with Mimi," Agumon said.
The DigiDestined were all looking at her quite oddly.
"Mimi?" Tai asked.
"Mimi?" Sora asked.
"Mimi?" Izzy asked.
"Mimi? Singing?" Matt asked.
"Mercy!" Joe said.
"Oh, give me a home, where the buffalo roam!" Mimi sang off-key.
"Avoiding your drone," Joe sang, adding in a lyric.
"Hey, come on, I had singing lessons for 3 years," Mimi said.
"Oh, it did? Did it help?" TK asked.
"Ha! Mimi, you should get a refund, that's what I think," Izzy said.
"Then, let's sing as a group," Sora suggested.
"Let's go!" Tai said.
"Digimon fight and Digimon fly, Digimon Digiball, fight all night-" The DigiDestined and Digimon all sang.
"STOP IT!" Sora yelled. They all stopped singing and they heard Sora whimper. They all looked at her with so much concern for her.
"Sora, are you alright?" Tai asked.
"Yeah, what's the matter?" Matt asked.
"Well, some water fell from up there," Sora said, looking up. Izzy saw the drop of water on her shirt.
"That made you scream?" Izzy asked.
"Yeah...no...uh..." Sora said, rubbing the water off her shirt. She looked at the sewer water with a sad face. "I used to sing at home. I used to sing to myself all the time when I would do my chores, especially when I hang my clothes to dry outside, I'd sing really loud could nobody could hear me."
Sora remembers hanging a row of white shirts on a single line.
"It's okay to miss your home, Sora," Agumon assured her. He turned to Tai. "What do you miss, Tai?"
"Hmm?" Tai asked. He remembers something. He thinks about aking a bath. "I miss playing sports and then taking a nice hot bath." He leans back in the tub too far, losing his balance, and falling back in the water with a yell.
"Games...my games..." We see TK playing videogames. "I wasn't far from beating Matt on my video games."
Matt crouches down and he grins.
"Beating me, TK? Gee I don't think so. Maybe in your dreams, kiddo," Matt said, laughin while TK is pretending to play games with a blank expression, lost in his own world.
Matt continues laughing until Agumon speaks up.
"So you don't miss ANYTHING from home, Matt?" Agumon asked. Matt instantly turns serious.
"Well, actually, now that you mention it...I've...been dreaming about Sundays when I was little," Matt said. We see Nancy placing strips of beef on a grill. "...when my mom cooked steaks! Mmmm! Makes my mouth water!"
Joe pushes up his glasses.
"I miss doing my homework. If I fall too far behind I might have to go to a--junior college!" Joe said.
"I don't miss school...but I do miss going on vacation, mm!" Mimi said. She removes her hat on a clear sunny day on the beach, drinking from a bottle of coke as seagulls soar in the sky. "Nothing beats having a cool drink on a summer day at the beach! I just love the ocean air!"
"Wow, that sounds like fun, Mimi!" TK said.
"It is!" Mimi said in agreement.
Izzy was getting irritated and impatient.
"Get a grip! I miss accessing satellites to look at the stars and planets," Izzy said. We see Izzy on his laptop in his room.
All the kids sigh, depressed. Their Digimon friends felt sorry for them.
"They really DO come from another world," Agumon said.
"That is why they are depressed," Gabumon pointed out.
"What do you expect. We would feel thr same way if we were sent from our world and into somewhere else," Biyomon said.
"Yeah, I'd feel homesick, too," Palmon said.
"Poor kids," Gomamon said.
And then, strange noises are heard further down. Tentomon hears the sounds and becomes uneasy.
"Quiet! Listen everyone!" Tentomon said.
They hear the sounds getting closer. And they hear disgusting sounds echoing throughout the sewer.
"Ee-yuck!" Mimi said.
"Numemon..." Gabumon said.
"Numemon?" Matt asked.
"They're really disgusting Digimon who live down here in the sewers," Gomamon said.
"That's gross!" Tai said.
"And so are they," Tentomon said.
"Are they really strong?" TK asked with worry.
"No, they're weak, but smelly, just wait till they get closer!" Agumon said.
"Then what do you say we leave? Or, am I the only one who doesn't want to get stomped by stinky sewer-dwellers?" Joe asked. Patamon makes a fearful.
A mass of green slug-like Digimon approaching from farther down the tunnel.
"And there are so many of them... The Numemon are fastly approaching at this point. "Hurry, ruuuuun!!" The chase has started. Tai had to speak up after hearing that they're weak Digimon.
"If they're not strong why do we have to run from them?" Tai asked.
"You'll see! Keep running!" Agumon said.
One of the Numemon ordered, "Let 'em have it!"
Numemon are in hot pursuit and start flinging gross pink sludge at everyone. (I think you know what they really are of you have watched the Japanese version)
Mimi narrates as the Digimon Analyzer activates, "These sewer-dwelling Numemon were like totally hygiene-deficient. They love throwing Nume Sludge at you...and they have bad breath, too!" The Digimon Analyzer deactivates.
The kids and Digimon are running for dear life as the pink sludge is being thrown at them.
"Let's keep moving!" Gabumon said.
Sludge splats on the wall, grossing out Mimi.
"Ehhhhh!!!" Mimi cried in disgust.
Absolute confusion follows, hard to make everything out.
"We gotta get outta here!" Joe excliamed.
"Move it, move it!" Sora added.
"Get going!" Izzy added.
"Run!" Tai added.
The Numemon kept throwing their sludge at the kids. One splashed in the water. They kept running until TK found another tunnel. He smiled because it meant a way out
"Hey! This-a-way!" TK said. The kids madly dash in, panting, and kept on running, the Numemon follow. The DigiDestined and their Digimon make it outside in the bright sunlight and sigh with relief. The Numemon, once seeing the sunlight, scream, stop, and immediately retreat.
"Huh?" Tai asked.
"The only thing that's able to drive 'em away is the sunshine!" Agumon said.
"Phew!" Tai said.
Mimi narrated, "Thank goodness! We finally escaped those Numemon, once we got outside! We didn't see anything for miles, until we saw the strangest thing."
They continued walking when they came across a field of vending machines. Panting, they then gasp in surprise.
"There must be thousands of them!" Mimi said.
"I'd say under a hundred," Joe stated.
"Or...maybe just 50," Izzy added.
"How did they get there?" TK asked.
"I bet there's enough snacks to last us a lifetime...at least," Mimi said.
"Mimi, they probably don't work. Don't you remember the phone booths?" Tai asked.
"Hey that could be, I bet it's a trick, Mimi," Palmon said.
I won't accept that!" Mimi said as she ran down toward vending machines, laughing excitedly and leaving everyone behind.
"Oh--!" Palmon said, following her.
"Even if they're real, you know they're not plugged in!" Joe shouted after her.
"Mimi--!" Tai sighed.
"You can't stop her...she's so stubborn," Sora said.
After browsing around, Mimi and Palmon choose a machine, containing sodas.
"Yay, soda. You want one?" Mimi offered.
"No, I don't!" Palmon said hotly. Mimi turned to Palmon.
"You don't have to bite my head off," Mimi said. "Hmm...mmmhmm!" Mimi inserts a coin and the whole front of the vending machine slams down to the ground. Palmon and Mimi let out a yell and run out of the way. A Numemon is inside.
"Hey, cutie pie, haha!" Numemon said.
"It's their leader," Palmon said.
"Their leader?! He couldn't lead a pack of show poodles, even with his doggie breath!" Mimi commented.
"Hey let me take you out on a date," the Numemon leader flirted.
"I think he likes you. It's gotta be the hat," Palmon guessed.
"What? What are you thinking? I wouldn't go NEAR that short, slimy, sewer-sliding sludge-slinger!!" Mimi said, insulting the Numemon leader.
"Mimi, you'll make him mad," Palmon said.
Who cares? Besides, we're safe in the sunlight--" Mimi was cut short when thunder is heard, clouds roll across the sky towards the sun.
"Huh?" Palmon said.
"Uh oh..." Mimi and Palmon said.
"Um...we were!" Mimi said. The Numemon leader was mad now.
"How dare you call me short? The date's off!" The Numemon leader exclaimed, throwing sludge, making Mimi and Palmon yell.
"Not again!" Palmon exclaimed.
"Run!" Mimi yelled.
"Party time!" The Numemon leader said.
The other Numemon come out from vending machines to join in with the fight. The DigiDestined all screamed when they saw the Numemon. Mimi and Palmon also screamed when the Numemon were pursuing them.
"How did THEY get HERE?" Sora asked.
"Who cares, run, run!" Mimi exclaimed as she ran pass the others.
Sora, Tai, and Agumon, who had just been standing around gaping, gasp and start running with the others.
"Run!" Tai yelled. All the DigiDestined screamed as they kept running for their lives.
"All right, everybody, let's split up!" Matt said.
"Yeah!" Tai seconded it. The DigiDestined and their Digimon partners splits as Mimi and Palmon kept running forward.
Watching at a distance, a Goblimon looked through a telescope. He is riding on the back of a It has two arms that each end in a single grey talon and four legs. It has a pair of large, green eyes with a pair of smaller, green eyes between them and three-toothed mandibles on the sides of its mouth. It is brownish yellow in coloration with black muscle in the brachium of its arms and its thighs. This Digimon is a Yanmamon. Goblimon chuckled evilly and lowered his telescope.
"Master, the DigiDestined kids have split up for the direction of Toy Town," Goblimon reported.
"Excellent. Their Digimon don't stand a chance against Monzeamon, especially with the plan I have set in motion. Perhaps he will make up where Andromon has failed," Devimon said.
"Should I keep watching, Master?" Goblimon asked.
"Watch the one with the Agumon, and report their capture to me as soon as he does," Devimon commanded.
"As you wish, Master," Goblimon said.
Back with Mimi and Palmon. They're still being chased by three Numemon, including the leader.
"Heartbreaker!" The Numemon leader accused. He hurls sludge at them, Palmon and Mimi run behind trees. "Pelt her!!"
Palmon slides out from behind the trees threateningly.
"Poison Ivy!" Palmon shouted as she prepared to launch her attack. The 3 Numemon stop, holler, and then make a hasty retreat. This confuses Palmon greatly. "Wha??"
"Palmon! Thank you!" Mimi said, coming up to Palmon.
"But Mimi-? I didn't do anything, why'd they run?" Palmon said. The answer literally comes their way as huge, thick, yellow legs stop behind them with a loud thud. Palmon and Mimi let out a cry and run out of the way. "It's Monzaemon!"
"Come visit us at Toy Town," Monzaemon said.
Mimi narrates as the Digimon Analyzer activates, "Monzaemon looked like a cute big ol' teddy bear--but he wasn't very cuddly." The Digimon Analyzer deactivates.
"Uh, Palmon? Is he a Digimon, too?" Mimi asked.
"Yes. He's in charge of a special place called Toy Town. Toy Town is a place where he takes care of all the abandoned Digimon toys. And those toys love him,"
"Well, he looks harmless..." Mimi said.
"He always has been," Palmon assured.
"I must say, so pleased to make your acquaintance," Monzaemon said.
We switch to a view looking down on the treetops of the forest area they are in. An explosion blasts a huge cloud of dust and smoke into the air. Then shows the normal view, with Palmon and Mimi running--again.
"Wait! He's attacking us!" Mimi exclaimed.
"You think?" Palmon innocently asked.
Laser beams jet out from his eyes and blaze a trail after them.
"Please, come spend a fun day in Toy Town with me!" Monzaemon said. Monzaemon stomps after them, randomly shooting his laser beams out of his eyes. Mimi and Palmon cry out while running. "Why are you running, did I startle you? Sorry!"
"Something's wrong, he's never acted like this!" Palmon said.
"He is now!" Mimi said.
Numemon Leader is hiding in the grass, and he beckons to them to come.
"Come here, Cookie, I'll protect you!" The Numemon leader said, signalling to them.
"No thanks!" Mimi said in a huffy manner.
Palmon Notices Monzaemon's approach, and she knew they had very little choice.
On second thought..." Palmon said. She and Mimi gasp and jump into the shallow crevice.
"How about a kicking game of soccer, you two?!" Monzaemon said, stepping over them. He looks for the kids.
Numemon leader, Palmon, and Mimi let out a stifled frightened cry, then stand up once he passes.
"He's gone!" Mimi said.
"Something bad must have happened in Toy Town," Palmon said.
"Since I saved you, lady, now will you go out with me? Huh?" The Numemon leader said in a flirting manner.
"No!" Mimi said, turning him down.
The Numemon leader slams down on his face in desperation, having been turned down.
"C'mon, let's go to Toy Town," Mimi said.
"But our friends--!" Palmon said.
"Chances are, they could be there; especially Matt," Mimi said.
"You're right. It's worth looking into," Palmon said.
Mimi and Palmon took off following Monzaemon. The Numemon leader watches Mimi leave.
"Wow, she's so feisty, what a girl!" The Numemon leader said.
They followed Monzaemon right to Toy Town, and Mimi cries out in surprised delight.
"There it is, Mimi, Toy Town!" Palmon said.
"Wow. It really looks beautiful! Kinda like--a big amusement park!" Mimi beamed. They arrived in Toy Town, and they saw the paved streets, and multi-colored houses with turrets, lined up in an organized fashion. Mimi and Palmon are shown wandering through the streets with interest. "It doesn't look like anyone's here."
"Something's not right here," Palmon said.
Tai runs pass Mimi and Palmon, being chased by a toy car.
"Oh boy! This is fun! This is really fun!" Tai said in an odd voice.
"Tai?" Mimi asked.
"Boy I'm really having a lot of fun now!" Tai said. Tai skids to a stop and runs past them again. "Fun! Fun! This is fun!"
"It doesn't look like a lot of fun," Mimi said.
Sora runs by, chased by a monkey toy clashing cymbals together.
"This is so exciting, this is really exciting!" Sora said in an odd voice.
"Just what's going on here?!" Palmon exclaimed.
Izzy jogs by with arms outstretched, pursued by a massive army of toy soldiers.
"Oh joy. What a delightful activity. This activity is really delightful," Izzy said oddly.
Mimi and Palmon look at him in the distance.
"Hey, Izzy doesn't talk like that..." Mimi said.
"Nope," Palmon agreed.
Matt runs by, chased by a train, acting strange.
"Boy oh boy, is this really great or what?" Matt asked as he laughed oddly.
Joe runs by, with a giant bird pursuing him and trying to peck him.
"This really rocks! Forget books, this really rocks!" Joe said oddly.
TK runs by, chased bya helicopter toy.
"Ha ha. You can't catch me. You can't catch me. You can't catch me, you can't catch me, ha ha ha!" TK said just as strangely.
"That's weird. Everyone sounds like a bunch of Zombies. How strange!" Mimi said.
"They do!" Palmon agreed.
"Ah well...they always were a little weird..." Mimi said.
"I wish I knew what was going on here, it's kinda creepy," Palmon said.
Through a window, a locked toy chest is seen. From inside, yelling can be heard.
"Hello!! Can anyone hear us out there?!" Agumon yelled out as his voice is muffled.
Mimi and Palmon, walking by, exchange glances. "Tai?! Help! Somebody get us outta here!! Hello? Help!!"
"It's coming from inside that chest!" Palmon said.
"Agumon? Is that you?" Mimi asked.
"Yes!" Agumon answered from inside.
"Are all our other Digimon in there with you, Agumon?" Palmon asked.
"Yes! We're all in here!" Agumon said.
"What happened?" Mimi asked.
Agumon: We were running from the Numemon.
(Flashback begins)
We see Tai and Agumon running away from 3 Numemon.
Agumon, narrated, "Then Monzaemon came along. Monzaemon scares away Numemon with laser blasts, then turns to Tai and Agumon with glowing eyes.
"Ah...ee...run!!" Tai yelled.
Agumon narrated, "We tried to fight back..."
Agumon, "Pepper breath!" Agumon fired his fire attack, but does nothing to him. The teddy bear Digimon gave off an angry growl.
Agumon: It's no use, my flame's not working. Run!
"Hearts Attack! Those two!" Monzaemon yelled as bluegreen heart bubbles shoot out and 2 envelope Tai and Agumon. We see Sora and Biyomon running, and then Monzaemon comes across them. "You'll see! Toy Town is the greatest place to be!"
Biyomon, "Spiral Twister!" Biyomon shouted. Her attack bouces off, and does nothing to him. Monzaemon jumps.
"Hearts Attack! Those two!" The hearts comes right at them.
"Sora!" Biyomon exclaimed.
"Biyomon!" Sora also exclaimed.
Two hearts envelope Sora and Biyomon as they make noises of alarm.
"At Toy Town, we just ooze fun," Monzaemon said.
Monzaemon comes right towards the remaining DigiDestined and Digimon.
Tentomon, "Super Shocker!"
Gabumon, "Blue Blaster!"
Patamon, "Boom bubble!"
Gomamon, "Marching Fishes!"
The Digimon all fire attacks at the large teddy bear Digimon, but their attacks bounces right off of him.
"Hearts Attack! Them all!" Monzaemon shouted.
They're all trapped in the hearts. All of them are moaning, except Gomamon, who looks rather content in the heart.
"So all of you will now serve us! You're all going into our community toy box. Our toy box is only filled with children!" Monzaemon said.
Monzaemon placed the 6 Digimon in the chest, and locked them inside.
"Hey, let us out!" Gomamon yelled.
"You Digimon have been naughty, so you're going to stay in there until you learn how to be nice!" Monzaemon said, walking off.
Inside, Gomamon growled in anger.
"Why you! When I get out of here, I'm literally gonna kick the stuffing out of ya!" Gomamon yelled. He turned to see Agumon and Biyomon close together.
Agumon woke up to see Biyomon's body close to his. Her pectorals are on Agumon's torso. He blushes heavily. Biyomon woke up and saw his scaly, muscular body against her. Biyomon blushes just as heavily.
Over the flashback, Agumon and Biyomon yelled, "THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN!"
(End of flashback)
Agumon and Biyomon are blushing heavily, and Gomamon laughed.
"That doesn't matter though. You know what happened to us now," Agumon said.
Outside the chest, Mimi stroked her chin.
"Thinking back, you're right," Mimi agreed. She has a brief flashback of Matt's and Joe's odd behavior. "The toys have been playing with them."
"Agu, tell us, what changed Monzaemon?" Palmon askes.
"We don't know!" Agumon asked.
"Huh?" Palmon asked.
"Well, can't you get out of that box and help?" Mimi askes.
"No, we're locked inside of here!" Agumon said.
"It is up to you two. You must be the heroes this time," Gabumon said.
"Just what do you mean?" Gabumon said.
"You must defeat Monzaemon," Biyomon said.
"What?!" Palmon exclaimed in shock.
"You must be kidding!" Mimi also exclaimed.
"That's right! We can't get free until you save the others," Agumon said. Mimi groaned.
"We have to do this," Palmon said.
"Oh do we have to?" Mimi asked.
"Mimi, please. You gotta save Matt," Gabumon said. Mimi knew Gabumon was right. She had to do it for Gabumon, but mostly for Matt.
They step out, searching for Monzaemon. Palmon goes over what she knows about Monzaemon.
"I have to tell ya, this isn't good. Monzaemon's hearts aren't supposed to attack, only give heart hugs, which give people such a good feeling that it makes them want to help others," Palmon said.
TK comes running with the helicopter chasing him again, running by.
"Mmm hmm hmm mmmm hmm, you can't catch me, ha ha ha!" TK said, running by.
"This is so ridiculous!" Mimi said.
"Oh!" Mimi and Palmon exclaimed as she saw a cymbal monkey. This infuriates Mimi.
"Stop that noise! Right now!" Mimi yelled, stomping her foot. Monzaemon came around the corner, holding a bunch of teddy bear head-shaped balloons.
It's such a happy day in Toy Town! [Mimi and Palmon cry out in surprise]
Palmon: Monzaemon!
Monzaemon: You'll like these! Everyone likes the balloons!
"Hey yeti-teddy! Whatever you've done to my friends--fix it now! Or you'll be in big trouble!" Mimi scolded as his eyes glow, but Mimi doesn't notice. Palmon does. You understand me?!" Suddenly realizes what's going on. "Waa!" Monzaemon lets the balloons go and fired his laser attack, making an explosion. "This isn't funny! I'm being chased by a giant stuffed bear!"
"Now, now. Don't run away from Toy Town!" He's still shooting off his laser beams. The mob of Numemon jump out of a dust cloud angrily.
"I'll save ya, honey! Hah!" The Numemon leader exclaimed as he threw some sludge. The sludge lands on Monzaemon's forehead, he growls, and they continue their attack.
"Numemon!" Mimi gasped in surprise.
"You turned him down, and he still helped," Palmon said.
Monzaemon stomps and sends all the Numemon flying.
"Well, Palmon, what can I say, when you've got it, you've got it," Mimi said. Monzaemon stomps again, with the same effect. "Oh no! I don't think the Nume-sludge is working."
"Gotcha!" Monzaemon yelled. Monzaemon glares and whacks the Numemon.
"I can't let them fight alone!" Palmon said.
"Palmon, be careful!" Mimi pleaded.
"Take this!" Monzaemon shouted, smacking the Numemon.
"Poison Ivy!" Palmon yelled. Her attack wraps around Monzaemon, but proves ineffective when he yanks free and sends her flying. She went backwards, screaming. Mimi ran towards her partner.
"Palmon! Please--talk to me!" Mimi said.
"My Poison Ivy's not strong enough," Palmon saidm
"Mmmmm--Hearts Attack!" Monzaemon shouted as the blue hearts appear and begin chasing a frightened Mimi and Palmon. Numemon come to the rescue and together form a gigantic wall to block the hearts.
"Numemon!" Mimi exclaimed.
The hearts broke the wall of Numemon, and the Numemon floats inside them. Palmon has seen enough of this.
"Time to take it to the next level. I may be a lady, but I am not a push over," Palmon said as she makes a mean, angry face.
Digivolution theme
(Brave Heart)
Light beams from his Digivice. Energy sprinkles downwards.
A green beam of light pours from the top of the Digi-zone and forms the image of Togemon that soon disappears. Palmon gains her data and spins around fast in the Digi-zone.
"Time to show this Digimon some manners! Palmon, digivolve to... Togemon!" Togemon is a large green cactus with arms and wears bright red boxing gloves.

The Digimon Analyzer activates.
"I am Togemon, the Digivolved form of Palmon! They don't get any prickler than me when I use my Needle Spray attack, it'll leave my anyone stinging for days! And you'll want to stay as far away from me as possible when I use my Light Speed Jabbing! These boxing gloves aren't for show! I'm a real knockout with them!" Togemon said as the Digimon Analyzer deactivates.
"You're goin' down, big boy! Togemon said as she smacks her fists together, and growled. Mimi looks on in amazement. Togemon struts forward with attitude. "You wanna dance with me?"
Togemon and Monzaemon growled at each other as they march at each other. Togemon gave the first punch, so Monzaemon gave Togemon a punch in the face, so they punch each other.
"Take this!" Monzaemon yelled.
Monzaemon attempts to use his laser attack, but Togemon punches him in the face, so it's ineffective.
"Needle Spray" Togemon yelled. So many needles go into Monzaemon that he looks like a pincushion, and he lets out a yell. The zipper on his back bursts open, and a black gear flies out. He then moans and collapses. Togemon reverse Digivolves back to Palmon. Palmon then collapses into a sitting position, exhausted. Mimi runs over."Palmon, you're fabulous! Mimi said as she giggles and gives her a crushing hug Her face started to turn blue.
"My...stem is bruised," Palmon wheezed.
Over to the DigiDestined, they snapped out of their trance, and the toys then returned to their inanimate state.
"What happened?" Tai asked.
Over to the chest, the Digimon are now free from the chest.
"We're free!" Patamon said.
"Mimi and Palmon did it!" Tentomon said.
"I knew they could do it!" Agumon said.
"Yeah. But I couldn't protect Sora this time," Biyomon said.
"It's not your fault, Biyomon. I couldn't protect Tai either, but I won't let it happen again," Agumon said.
Mimi narrated, "After everyone was freed from the spell, and the trunk, Monzaemon told us what really happened."
"Usually, when kids get tired of their toys, they just abandon them and throw them away! It's so sad! So I created a home for these toys. Then...I wanted to make the toys more important to their owners, and I found a way to let their owners walk in their shoes!" Monzaemon explained.
"How? By turning kids into zombies?" Mimi asked.
"I don't think he really intended to do that, Mimi," Joe reasoned.
"You're right, Joe, I didn't mean for that to happen, I really am sorry about it. Please accept my apology, I'll never do that again--really," Monzaemon said.
Tai grins and scratches the back of his head, so he decided to forgive him
Monzaemon, we know that you would never hurt us on purpose.
"Of course not. But an evil feeling came over me," Monzaemon said. A black gear bursting into pieces. The DigiDestined saw the Black Gear shatter after it hits the ground.
"It had to be that black gear!" Sora said.
"Y'know, I'm beginning to take this whole black gear thing a little personally," Tai said. The pieces disappeared "They cause a whole lot of trouble before disappearing."
"That's right. But me and Palmon made Monzaemon good again," Mimi said.
"We're a great team!" Palmon saidm
"My friends--there's only one way I can truly show my gratitude, and that's by giving you all a real heart hug!" Monzaemon said.
The kids are rather alarmed/bewildered.
"Oh boy..." Joe said nervously.
"Here we go! This is my gift to you. Hearts Attack--with a hug!" Monzaemon said as he jumped and fired pink hearts at the DigiDestined. Tai and Sora float in one as Matt and Mimi floats on another. Agumon and Biyomon share one together, but the rest each are engulfed in one. They all laughed as they float in the air.
The Numemon leader pops out of a manhole for the sewers.
"Dumpling, a kiss for your hero?" The Numemon asked.
"No," Mimi cheerfully said.
"Wow, what a girl! She'll come around. She'll have to lose that blonde dude, and I'll move right in! Hoo-hoah!" The Numemon leader said. He falls on his face in something like a faint, and all laugh.
The hearts floats upwards as the sun sets. We shall leave here as their adventure continues.
