"Okay, so, what is the plan for tonight?"
"Murder."
"No, Melly, honey, we have to leave now. It's getting late." Lizzie rubs Melly's hair as Melly begins to pout.
"But no one has found my killer yet…."
"Sorry Jerry, but it is 9 o'clock in the evening. We all agreed to head in early since we all have things we need to do," I did the good ol' getting up from the sofa by clasping my knees.
"Thats a wrap of the Clue Murder Mystery Night then," I chuckeled as Jerry continued to play dead on the floor, while dear Terry decided to pick him up from said floor and carry him bridal style.
Jules sprang from his spot beside me to give me a big hug, whispering in my ear that he was the killer.
I knew that he was acting a bit suspicious throughout this round….
Waving goodbye to all my friends as they made their way out, Melly and Lizzie heading to a fancy dinner, Terry and Jerry having to head in early because of traveling tomorrow, and Jules having to go to Japan for his family's business, this was the only night where all of us could get together before we had to go our separate ways for a while.
Now it's time to start my gaming addiction. Well, let me rephrase that.
It's time to fuel my gaming addiction with other people watching said addiction.
Especially with a game called Genshin Impact, or the various Nintendo games that I own…for if I am not hanging out with my friends or family, I just play games a good amount of the time.
Besides working, of course, besides working.
Should probably stop by mom and dad's room to check in with them, then say goodnight to Red, then boot up my PC.
Locking the front door, heading to the garage door to check it's locked, turning on the alarm, sprinting over to the back door and checking it's locked, to finally pass by the couch and head up the stairs, I proceeded to my parents room.
Humming along as I walked through the dimly lit hallway, passing by the many guest rooms and my room to make it to their room.
I know I'm over-explaining, but whenever it gets dark, I jump and scare easily, it doesn't help that dad and uncles would tell me ghost stories about the house growing up.
And the natural affinity to scream when I see anything creepy, well, spooky….ah yes, still haven't grown out of that yet.
I knocked on their door.
I heard scuffling and a "Come in!" from the other side.
Cool, I've been granted entry.
I proceeded on in, "Hey ma, dad, we finished Clue Murder Mystery Night, and I went on ahead and put on the alarm."
"Thanks honey," Dad got up to ruffle my hair, "you put everything away and cleaned up."
"Yes sir-e, we cleaned up everything before getting into game night." I flashed my award winning smile and gave a peace sign.
"That's great, that's great, Astrid, can you come over here."
"Yes mom.", I headed over to where my ma was on the right side of the bed.
She grabbed a hold of my face.
"Ma…." / "Dear…."
"Hmmmm", she continued to move my face around, in thought and obviously looking for something.
"What are you doing?" / "Makino, why are you inspecting our daughter's face?"
Mom proceeds to hold my face and now, we're just staring at each other.
She gives me a peck on the forehead before she lets go, "Just making sure our dear daughter didn't do anything that would give her a bruise."
"Maaaa…"
"Honey, it's true," she points at me, "you have a tendency to be clumsy and bruise easily, right, dear," she looks at dad.
Which leads to him sighing, "your mother is right", as he gets back into bed.
I look to the side, muttering, "you're not wrong."
"It's not a bad thing to be clumsy," Mom sighed, "your father and I get worried, that's all." She ruffles my hair.
"So, honey, you're streaming tonight?"
Way to go dad with changing the topic, inner me doing a fistpump.
"Yup, with everyone going and being busy, I know that everyone watches my streams. One part is to have fun, the other is so that no one is worried that I did something stupid….."
"Honey…." / "Astrid….."
"... there's also the part where I already enjoy gaming, streaming is a hobby while I do my main job. I'll be streaming at least one Friday of the month, or when I can, and I plan to make sure to start at around 9:30 or so?" I shrugged.
"Are you planning to monetize?"
"Nope, 110% a hobby. I don't want any of the viewers' money via streams, just want to share the joy of gaming and art." Also the fact that I know that Lizzie would compete with a viewer called SnakeEmpress to be top donator….
Which is something and another part of the reason why I don't want to be open to getting subs or making money off of streaming, cause I know that my friends and other peoples' would potentially give me money.
And I'm not comfortable with that. Or the idea of that…..yet….
"Okay, whatever you choose to do, we absolutely support it," Dad gave a good thumbs up, before I glomped him in a hug to wish him goodnight.
"Don't stay up too late."
"I'll try not to, I'll say goodnight to Red.", I waved at them, from the corner of my eye, I saw my dad make a face.
Of guilt.
"Night." / "Sweet dreams." / "Love you."
Getting out of the room, and shutting the door gently, I went to the next room over for my dear younger brother.
A quick knock, knock.
A little bit of shuffling.
A "Come in!" from my adorable kid brother.
I proceed on in.
"Heya shortstop," a dramatic pose from me, and an equally dramatic pose from my brother, "peanut butter bread?"
He looks at me in thought, "Toaster strudel."
"Hmmmm." / "Hmmmmmm."
"That's about right." / "I see it."
"Great minds think alike, kiddo." I ruffled his hair as we walked over to his racecar bed.
"You just said good night to ma and pa?"
"Yup," he gets into bed as I sit by his side, "did you go say goodnight to them? Or are you still mad at dad?"
"I'm still mad…..", Red looks away.
Dad, dear ol' dad, was going to hang out with Red, but before the day even started, had to go to work because of an emergency. Red had it marked on his calendar and everything, planning it all with me and ma to make it all the more special. Dad hardly takes off of work, well, can't really take off of work, due to the nature of it….so, Red was devastated.
And the plan fell through.
"There's always a nex…"
"Astro, I know there's a next time, but this…. Sniffle."
I held the kiddo in my arms, patting his back as he cried soft sobs, soon snot was running down his nose and onto my clothes. Luckily, I have tissues on hand.
"Here you go," getting a tissue out, "let it all out, I know you've been keeping it in."
"He…he…he promised…sniffle…sniffle."
"Things happen, but just know that he had full intention of spending the day with you. If it was something that the uncles could handle alone, he wouldn't have gone." I patted his back a little bit more.
"Okay…sniffle…..hey sis," Red looks up at me, composing himself, "are you streaming tonight?"
"Yup." I smiled back at him.
"Can I watch?", the adorable little bean of a brother looked at me with twinkling eyes.
"How so?" I inwardly thought to myself, HE'S TOO ADORABLE AND PRECIOUS TO BE ON CAMERA, I SWEAR IF…..
"I don't want to be in the stream," Red twiddles with his fingers, "I just want to watch you on my IPineapple."
"I see." I played with his hair, my worries drifting away, "okay, but our little secret, since ma and dad don't want you staying up too late."
"DEAL." Red nearly squeals, giving me a big huge.
"Pass it over, ya little firecracker." I chucked.
Undoing the parental controls and handing it over to Red, I wished him goodnight and headed back to my room.
Looking at the clock, it was 9:20, so, I really needed to start soon.
A set list of things to do first.
Number one, hydrate.
Number two, use the restroom.
Number three, headphone, microphone check, enable slo-mo in chat.
Number four, open the stream and put on the stream commences in X amount of minutes.
Number five, make sure it is the right platform to stream.
Number six, boot up the game and hide game identification beforehand.
Number seven, last but not least, give a warm welcome to everyone as you start the stream and go from there.
Numbers one and two are interchangeable though, very much interchangeable.

I looked to the screen, and even in slow-mode, everyone joining and exiting the stream was a little to fast for my eyes.

And all the comments came popping in as I was in the overworld of Genshin Impact. My team, being the Geo Arataki Itto (a cute oni), one Ameno Kazuha (leaf boi), a swashbuckling badass lady named Beidou (bow down to the queen), and a cute bean of pyro Bennet (a sweet kid), I traversed my way through Teyvat.
"Where to start today, where to start today….Okay, so, I have my commissions that I haven't done yet. I also have a lot of resin that I need to use and make some condensed resin. I've already started pre-farming for Ayato, not only because he's cool, but I've heard that his animations are top-tier."
"SO chat, have any suggestions on what to do?"

"Wooooow, that happened rather fast, and to think that over 2,000 people are watching….that's makin me a bit nervous..just sayin'." I readjusted myself a little in my gaming chair.
I went to my co-op page to press the permissions tab, but before that I stated my worries a bit more.
"Let me know if I get too boring, or something, like sure, I'm probably background noise for some of y'all, but I don't want to cause anyone to go to sleep with my stream."
Then, began my good hundred requests to join my world in Genshin.

Heavenly Demon decided to get a head start on commissions. Luckily, none of the commissions have anything to do with NPCs, just defeating the opponents, protecting the balloon, that type of jazz.

I dodged a hillichurl and circled back around, before I finished off the rest with a good Elemental Burst.
"I think that's it for commissions, now, back to where we were, at the beginning of co-op." I looked at my camera.
"Character [pause for effect] Showcase." I nearly screeched.

Before I knew it, I was in for a very long, and very odd night…
First off, I know this ain't my main piece. Been really busy, but I had this on the backburner.
Hope everyone is doing well, probs will update the main either in late April or Early May, as….well.., Imma be graduating soon…last semester….all that jazz.
ANYWHO, enough of my personal life, just wanted to put this out there and if anyone wants me to continue this piece, welllllll, Sorry, but mark my words.

BTW, I do play Genshin, so that does take up writing time and other time, but I choose to live with my decisions [shrug]
