Here's the next chapter!

Now, let's resume our story.
Awakening
A few days later…
Gavin sighed as he walked down the street, backpack on his back. "I hope there's no pop quizzes today," he said to himself as he rounded the corner and spotted his destination. "They aren't fun."
Said destination was Millard Filmore High School. The school was a tall, 4 story building made of brown bricks and had a flat roof. It had two extensions in the back and on the right that were two stories tall and three stories tall, and a sign with its name on it sat over the large archway that held the double front doors. Two large basketball courts sat on the left side, as well as a couple large trees and some benches.
'Here's hoping school goes well today,' he thought as he walked to the building and entered it with some other students, heading to his locker. When he arrived at his locker in one of the many locker-filled hallways, which looked like all the other dark blue lockers in the school, he unlocked the combination lock on it and opened it.
As he began to rummage through his locker, grabbing the various books he needed for his classes, he thought about what he had learned a few days before. 'I still can't believe my mom's actually a centaur, and a very famous potion maker,' he thought as he shut his locker and headed to his classroom. 'And that I now have a magic animal guardian in the form of a talking Sphinx cat, which proves that magic and magical creatures are real.' He then sighed. 'Man, am I going to learn anything else that'll shock me?'
And with that thought, he arrived at class and went inside.
Several hours later…
"Thank god!" he whispered with relief as he walked out of the school and started heading down the street. "Now I can just go home, work on homework, and relax." Then, he spotted someone familiar. "What in the world are you doing here?" he whispered to Yan Yan, looking around to make sure no one was watching.
"Kid, I'm your magic animal guardian now," She replied as she walked alongside him. "That means I stay close to you. At all times," She growled, clearly not happy about the fact she was his guardian.
"Right," he said as they walked, before realizing that they weren't heading the way he normally took to go home. "Um, where are we going?"
"Someplace special kid," Yan Yan replied as she led him around the corner and into the subway. "There's something I gotta check."
"In the subway?" he asked her with curiosity as they reached the bottom of the stairs and walked over to the ticket counter.
"Yes, now buy a ticket for the last stop," She whispered, prompting him to gain a confused look.
'Why there?' he thought as he purchased a ticket for said stop, before walking over with her to the platform. 'She know someone who lives there?'
Soon, the subway train pulled up to the platform, and opened its doors, allowing several people to spill out.
The two then headed onto the train, and found themselves a seat, with Yan Yan sitting very close to him, but not too close.
"So, why are we going there?" He asked Yan Yan quietly, trying to not draw attention.
"You'll see kid," She replied before she laid down her head and closed her eyes, deciding to take a little catnap. "You'll see."
Thirty Minutes later…
"Okay, this is the last stop," he said as the train started to slow down, before eventually coming to a stop and opening its doors. "So, where are we going?" he asked her as he got up to follow the couple of people who were on the train with them, only for her to grab him by his shorts and pull him back down. "Hey! We need to get off here."
"Not for where we're going," She said, before turning to the front of the train, where the driver was located, and winked.
The door to the driver's seat then opened, revealing the driver. The driver was a tall, long-legged man with lightly tanned skin, short reddish-pink hair, blue eyes, and a bit of a gut. He was wearing a light blue short-sleeve, button-up shirt, dark blue plants, black shoes, and a dark blue hat with the name of the subway company on it.
Then, the driver stood up out of the long legs, revealing he had tiny legs, and adjusted his hat, revealing his ears were pointy.
"Huh?!" Gavin said with wide eyes and confusion.
"This here's the express train to Magicville," Yan Yan continued as the driver's skin became a bright purple color while he pressed a button on the dashboard, before the entire train car started to shake. "Hehehe!" She chuckled as the car rose up into the air on hydraulics before passing through a red portal that had just appeared in the top of the subway tunnel
"What in the world?!" he exclaimed as the train car soon came to a stop, and the doors opened, while Yan Yan hopped down onto the floor and stood on her two legs.
"Come on kid!" She said to him as she started walking towards the doors, prompting him to follow her. "We have an appointment to keep."
"Appointment? What appointme…." His voice trailed off when he stepped through the doors and saw his surroundings.
They were now surrounded by a massive complex of buildings that stood hundreds of feet tall. Some of these buildings looked more modern, with some looking Oriental in appearance, while others looked European. Other buildings looked more medieval, with a couple looking like cottages or something straight out of a fairytale. Standing outside several of these buildings were small shops, with each one selling odd items, like bat guano, eyes of newts, earmuffs, and centaur shampoo. Manning these shops and walking through the streets were creatures of all shapes and sizes, some looking more human than others.
"Where are we?" he asked her as he followed her, looking at everything with curiosity.
"This is Magus Bazaar," Yan Yan explained as she walked, ignoring the multiple vendors calling out their wares. "It serves primarily as a marketplace for the Magical Community, but it does have housing for creatures who don't want to live with humans. Anything you need you can find right here."
"Really," he replied with surprise and amazement. "How interesting. So, why are we coming here?"
"For two reasons," Yan Yan said as they rounded a corner and went down another street. "One, your mother wanted me to show you more of the magical world, and suggested I take you here."
"And the second reason?" He asked.
"You're about to find out," She replied as she headed towards a small shop that was one story tall and was colored black and green. A small sign hung above the door, with bright red letters on it reading "Aldora's Antiques and Artifacts."
"Aldora, we're here!" Yan Yan cried as she pushed open the door and stepped inside, with Gavin in tow.
The interior of the shop was well lit, with the walls and shelves painted black, as was the ceiling. The floors were covered in black tile, with white tiles scattered about it. The shelves on the walls were covered with glass, while various objects sat behind them on soft cushions with tags in front of them with their name, a description of what they did, and their price. A few more shelves sat on the floors, with glass surrounding them as well. A large counter sat across the middle of the shop, with a large black and gold scale next to a matching cash register. Behind the counter were a couple of boxes and a large doorway covered with a black curtain.
"Who's Aldora?" Gavin aske Yan Yan with confusion. "And why are we meeting her?"
"I'm Aldora."
"Gah!" Gavin gasped with shock and a bit of fright as he whipped around to see who had spoken.
There, standing before him with a smirk on her face, was a female creature. She stood 3 foot 4 inches tall, and had light green skin, bubblegum pink eyes with pink eyeshadow, long light purple hair that was done up in a ponytail, a small cute nose, long pointy ears, and a very curvy body, as well as a somewhat long, lizardlike tail. She was wearing a black t-shirt that hugged her volleyball-sized breasts tightly, showing she had no bra on, and ended right above her flat belly, black booty shorts that were tight on her large ass and breeding hips, and black boots that hugged her calves.
"Heheh! Good one Aldora," Yan Yan chuckled, having found Gavin's reaction to the goblin to be quite amusing.
"Thanks Yan Yan," Aldora replied as she looked Gavin up and down. "So this is Gavin, the one you've been assigned to as guardian. I must say, he's really easy on the eyes."
That comment made Gavin blush a bit, while Yan Yan groaned. "Yes, he's the one," She replied. "So, everything set up?"
"It is," Aldora replied with a nod, before she walked toward the counter, swaying her hips a little as she did so. "Follow me."
"Is she always like this?' Gavin whispered to Yan Yan as they followed her from a distance. "And what is she?"
"Sometimes, and she's a goblin," Yan Yan replied as they went past the counter and over to the curtain, which Aldora had already gone through. "Now hush."
When they stepped through the curtain, they found themselves in a large room that was painted a light purple, with a couple more shelves on the walls that held more artifacts and items. A large round table sat in the middle of the room, with a couple comfy chairs surrounding it. A couple more doorways sat in the back and side walls, with more curtains covering them. Above the table hung a crystal chandelier that was white with gold crystals giving off light, and on the table was a large glass orb that was glowing a soft purple.
"Have a seat," Aldora said as she sat down in one of the chairs, prompting Yan Yan and Gavin to take a seat, with him directly across from her. "Good, now we can begin."
"Begin what exactly?" He asked her with curiosity.
At that, Yan yan sighed. "She's going to go look inside you to see if there's anything hidden in you," She replied, confusing him.
"Why?"
"Because of what your mother said about her adopting you," Yan Yan answered him. "Look, I believe your mother did adopt you because she loved you and wanted to take care of you, but that doesn't explain why she would hide you from the magic community for so long. I think there's a secondary reason, so I contacted my friend Aldora here to help."
"A secondary reason?" he repeated. "Like what?"
"I have no idea," Yan Yan said with a shrug. "But that's why we're here. Aldora, let's begin."
"Certainly Yan Yan," Aldora replied with a nod, before holding both of her hands out over the orb. "Take my hands."
"Um, okay," He said, before gently taking hold of her smaller, five-fingered hands with his bigger ones, and was somewhat surprised to find that they were very soft and smooth. "Now what?"
"Now, we begin," She said, before she closed her eyes, and started to chant in Latin. "Spiritus vetus, audire me vocant. Aperi fores huius hominis animum, sic videre possumus, quod latet intrinsecus." (Spirits of old, hear my call. Open the doors of this human's mind, so we can see what is hidden inside.)
As she chanted the words over and over again, the purple orb began to glow brighter and brighter, before purple smoke began flowing out of it in the shape of a king cobra. It swirled around the table several times, growing longer and longer, before it shot forward, splitting its head into two, and went up his nostrils.
"What the hell?!" he exclaimed, before his body stiffened and his eyes widened, while the purple orb glowed even more, before showing Yan Yan an image on it.
"Where am I?" Gavin said as he looked around at his surroundings, which had changed. He was now in a large gray room that was completely devoid of any furniture or pictures. There wasn't even a door or window. "What is this place?"
"The innermost parts of your mind."
"Gah!" Gavin gasped again with shock as he jumped and turned around, seeing that Aldora was standing there, a smirk on her face. "Would you stop doing that?!"
"Nah, I don't think so," She replied before looking around with a curious look on her face. "Hmm, interesting."
"What?" he asked her.
"I've never seen the inner sanctum of one's mind so blank before," She replied as she walked around, looking at the walls and ceiling. "Normally, there's a few things in the sanctum."
"Wait, hold on a minute. We're in my mind?!" He exclaimed, prompting her to nod.
"Yes, with the help of the Eye of Minerva," She replied, running a hand along one of the walls.
"The 'Eye of Minerva?'" he repeated with confusion. "What's that?"
"The orb on the table," She replied. "It was an artifact created by a very powerful being long ago, and has the ability to let the user access whoever's mind they choose."
"Ooookay," Gavin replied, feeling very confused, but deciding to just roll with it and get a proper explanation later. "So, what are we looking for exactly?"
"Well, first off, a way out of this room," She continued, before she found a small crack in the wall, and smiled. "Found one." She then gently pressed her against it, widening the crack, before she grabbed one edge of it, and began to pull, grunting as she did so.
Unfortunately though, it refused to budge.
"Dammit!" She cursed as she let go of the edge and stepped back, a frown on her face. "I thought this would be easier to do."
"What's wrong?"
"These walls represent mental barriers in your mind, ones that you have subconsciously put into place," She said as she gestured to the walls. "I had figured that since you were a human, your mental barriers would be easier to move out of the way, but it seems I was wrong."
"So, now what?" He asked her.
"You'll have to try," She replied. "You made these barriers, so logically you should be able to move them."
"But how?" he asked her with confusion.
"Do what I just tried to do," She replied, prompting him to shrug, before heading over to the crack in the wall and gripping the edge.
"Eh, might as well," He muttered, before he started to pull on the edge. To his and Aldora's surprise, the wall tore like wet paper, revealing a glowing, swirling gold vortex behind it.
As soon as the vortex was revealed, the two immediately felt an immensely powerful suction pull on their bodies. Before they could even react, they were sucked into the vortex, while the room they had just been in crumbled into dust.
"What's happening?!" He yelled as they flew through the vortex.
"We're entering a memory!" She yelled back, before he found himself out of the vortex and laying on soft grass.
"Where'd she go?" he said as he sat up and looked around for Aldora, before he was slammed into the ground by her. "Nevermind," he wheezed, the breath having been knocked out of him.
"Sorry," She apologized as she got off him, before helping him sit up as he sucked in some air.
"It's okay," he replied, before he looked around at their surroundings. "So, where are we?"
They were now in a forest of some sort, with a large park nearby that had many little children playing on a large playset.
"A memory," She said as he got up. "Come, we must look for an exit."
"Um, why?" He asked her as he started to follow her away from the park. "Is this not what you were looking for?"
"No, it wasn't," She replied. "I'm looking for-"
"Gavin!"
"Huh?!" The two said with surprise and confusion as they turned around.
"What is it mom?" A seven-year-old boy with bright blue eyes, light brown hair, and barely tanned skin said as he got off the swing and walked over to a woman. The woman stood about 5 foot 4 inches tall, and appeared to be in her early 30s, with bright blonde hair (probably dyed), bright blue eyes, light skin, and a loving smile. She had a nice, somewhat curvy figure, with CC-cup breasts, and was wearing a light-yellow shirt, tan shorts, and tan sneakers with white socks.
"It's time to go home sweetie," She said to him, prompting the boy to whine sadly. "Go tell your friends goodbye."
"Okay mommy," The boy replied, before running over to a 6 year old blonde-haired boy. "Bye Garrett!"
"Bye Gavin," Garrett replied as they hugged, before Gavin ran back over to his mother.
"Mommy, can we get some ice cream?" He asked his mother, who smiled down at him lovingly.
"Sure sweetie," She replied, making him smile.
"Yay!" He said as they walked back to the parking lot, while his mother chuckled, happy to see her son so excited.
As they walked away, Aldora hummed for several seconds, before she turned to Gavin to ask him a question. She paused though, when she saw that he had a shocked look on his face, as well as what appeared to be recognition, as if he recognized the woman, but not fully.
"Why does she seem so familiar?" he said as they watched them get into a small white car and drive off.
"Well, based off what we just witnessed, she was your mother," She replied.
"But that doesn't make sense though," he answered. "I'm an orphan. I never got to meet my parents."
'Interesting,' She thought upon hearing that. 'Then why does he have this memory that contradicts that?'
Then, he spotted something glinting in the grass not far from them, and walked over to it. "What in the world?" He muttered as he reached down and picked up the small object. Said object was a small fox made up of some sort of purple stone or gem, with a small loop sticking out of the middle of its back. "What's this doing here?" he continued, before he was distracted as another vortex opened up before them, this one being blue in color. "Oh shiiiiiiit!" He cursed as he was sucked inside, followed by Aldora. "What's happening?!"
"I don't know!" She shouted back, feeling very confused. This was unlike any other mind exploration she'd ever done. And she liked it!
Soon, he found himself landing on a couch, before Aldora landed on top of him, her massive breasts pressing into this face, while the fox was still in his hand. "Can you please get off me?" he asked her, his voice very muffled by her large tits.
"Oh, of course," She replied as she got off him, making him sigh with relief, as he'd been afraid that if she'd been on him any longer, he'd pop a boner. And he really didn't want to deal with that right now.
"So, where are we now?" He asked her as he looked around, prompting her to shrug.
"I don't know," She replied.
They were sitting on a large brown couch in a large living room that had several pictures hanging on the walls, while a large TV sat against one wall, and a rocking chair sat nearby, with a large lamp next to it.
Then, they saw the woman from last time walk in, although she looked several years older, probably in her very late 30s. Walking with her were three little girls.
The first of the three little girls appeared to be around 9 years old, and had fair skin, bright blue eyes, and long blonde hair. She was wearing a bright blue shirt with a cocker spaniel on it, white shorts, and blue sandals.
The second girl appeared to be 8 years old, and had fair skin, bright blue eyes, and short brown hair. She was wearing pink shorts, pink shoes, and a pink shirt with a cartoon-style fox on it.
Finally, the third girl appeared to be 5 years old, and had fair skin, long platinum blonde hair, and bright blue eyes. She was wearing a light blue dress and white shoes, with a light blue bow in her hair, and was carrying a small blue box in her hands.
The four of them sat on the other couch in the room, before the woman called out, "Gavin! Can you come in here for a minute?"
"Sure mom!" Gavin and Aldora heard a voice that sounded exactly like his own call out from the other side of the house, confusing them.
Then, after a few seconds, they saw another person come in, and were blown away at what they saw. The person looked exactly like Gavin, only a couple years older.
"What in the fuck is going on?" Gavin muttered as he watched the older version of himself walk over to his mother and stop before her.
"What do you need mom?" The older Gavin asked her.
"Surpwise!" The 5 year old girl said happily as she held out the box to him. "Happy birthday big bwother!"
"Happy birthday!" The other girls said to him with large smiles.
"Aw, thank you!" The older Gavin said as he took the box and pulled off the bow, before opening it. When he saw what was inside, he gasped. "Oh, it's beautiful!" He said as he reached in and pulled out a familiar necklace.
"What the fuck?!" Gavin exclaimed as he saw his older self put on the necklace. "What is going on here?!"
"Calm down," Aldora replied, grabbing his arm and rubbing it. "Freaking out won't solve this mystery."
Before Gavin could respond though, the older version of him spoke once more. "Thanks mom. Thanks sisters," he replied, before hugging them happily.
Then, they slowly faded away, leaving only Gavin and Aldora in the room. As well as a floating piece of leather that looked rather familiar. Said piece of leather then floated over to Gavin, and into his hand that was holding the purple fox.
"Ugh, seriously, what the fuck is going on?" he cursed once more. "I'm seeing things that aren't making sense. I never knew my parents, and I didn't have any siblings. So why the fuck am I seeing stuff that directly contradicts that?!"
Aldora opened her mouth to respond, but was interrupted as yet another vortex appeared, this one being gray in color, and sucked them inside.
"Really?! Again?!" he shouted, clearly frustrated with what was going on.
As if the vortex could hear him, he landed on a smaller couch, with Aldora landing on top of his face, legs split apart. 'Oh come on!' he groaned as he quickly pulled her off him, as she had stiffened with shock, her face turning red at the position she had been in. 'Really?!' "Okay, where the heck did we land now? What memory is this?" he continued as he looked around, seeing that they were in a bank lobby that had several people in it.
Standing at one of the counters was the older version of him, with the necklace around his neck. "Have a wonderful day sir," The teller before him said with a smile.
"Thanks, you have one as well," The older version of Gavin replied, before he headed towards the other side of the lobby, where a couple of restrooms were located.
Right as the older version of Gavin reached the restrooms, the doors to the bank flew open, and three masked gunmen ran inside, each holding machine guns and wearing black and white cloth demonic masks. All three stood around 5 feet 10 inches in height, and also had duffel bags with them.
"Oh my," Aldora said with shock as the three men quickly aimed their guns at the people in the building, while the older version of Gavin ducked into the restroom.
"Get on the ground!" The three men shouted, with one firing a couple shots into the air to emphasize their words.
The two watched as the people did what the robbers had ordered them to do, including the tellers. One gunman went to the back to check on the tellers to make sur they hadn't tripped an alarm, while another one said, "Go check the restrooms. Make sure we didn't miss anyone."
The robber grumbled, but did as he was ordered, and entered the male restroom, while the other robber started rounding up the hostages, lining them up in rows.
Several minutes went by, before the door to the restroom opened, and the older version of Gavin peeked his head out, assessing the situation. After several seconds, the older Gavin sneaked out, the robber's gun in his hands, and hid behind one of the sofas in the lobby to avoid being spotted.
They watched as the older version of Gavin snuck over to another sofa when the robbers weren't looking, and made his way over to the door leading to the tellers. When he opened the door though, it squealed loudly, catching the robber's attention.
"Who's there?" One of the robbers asked, looking around alertly.
After a few seconds, the older version of Gavin charged into the teller's area, startling the two robbers. He then aimed the gun at the robber in front of him, and said, "Stop right now, and get on the ground!"
The robber merely stared at him, and chuckled evilly, his gun aimed right back at him. "Really? You're trying to play hero now?" He then shook his head. "You're outnumbered. The only thing that's going to happen is that you're going to die for nothing."
The older Gavin's face gained frustrated look on it, before it turned to one of determination. "No, I won't," He said before he pulled the trigger.
*BANG!*
*BANG!*
"Gah!" Gavin and the robber shrieked with pain as they fell to the ground with a loud THUD!, having been shot. The robber by Gavin, and Gavin by the robber near the hostages. He had shot the robber in the leg, while he himself had been shot in the center of the chest.
"Holy crap," Gavin said as he watched the situation before him, shocked at what he was seeing.
The older Gavin groaned as blood started to soak his shirt, while the robber by the hostages booked it out of the building. "SOMEBODY CALL 911!" The older Gavin yelled while coughing up blood.
One of the hostages ran over to him, and put their shawl over his bleeding chest, before he fell unconscious, while the sounds of sirens filled the air.
Then, their surrounding shifted, and they found themselves in a hospital room. Laying in the bed was the older Gavin, with IV's hooked up to his arm, a sensor clamped on a finger, and gauze wrapped around his chest. Sitting and standing around his bed were his mother and sisters, and presumably his father.
The male human stood about 6 foot 4 inches tall and looked to be in his early 40's, with decently tanned skin, bright blue eyes, brown hair with gray sideburns, and a warm smile. He appeared to be pretty muscular and was wearing a mechanic's outfit.
The older Gavin began to move around a bit, and groaned as he opened his eyes and looked around. His family heard this, and let out happy exclamations, before they came over and began to speak all at once.
Fortunately, the adult male shushed them, before he spoke. "How are you feeling son?" He said in a deep and kind voice.
"Tired," The older Gavin replied. "And a little sore. How long have I been out?"
"A couple hours," His mother replied. She'd obviously been crying a little bit, as he could hear her voice wavering a bit.
"What happened while I was out? Are the hostages okay?" The older Gavin asked them, worry in his voice as he began to sit up.
"Calm down son," The adult male said to him, gently taking him by the shoulder. "The hostages are alright. The police got there almost immediately due to one of the employees having hit a silent alarm when the robbers came."
"Oh good," He replied, relief in his voice. "And the robbers?"
"They were quickly apprehended," His mother said to him. "Son, we're so proud of you for what you did!"
"Indeed we are," His father added, smiling at him. "You saved all those people's lives."
"It was the right thing to do," The older Gavin answered humbly. "I just couldn't do nothing."
Then, he felt something in the back of his throat, causing him to cough.
As he coughed, little droplets of red appeared on the blanket on him, making everyone's eyes go wide upon seeing.
"Um, that's not good," The older Gavin said as he coughed some more, sending out more droplets of blood from his mouth.
"Um, no shit it's not good," Gavin said as he and Aldora stood to the side, watching the situation.
"I'll get a nurse," His father said, before turning to leave the room.
At that moment, a very skinny doctor walked in. He stood around 6 foot 4 inches tall, and had deeply tanned skin, short black curly hair, and green eyes. A nametag hung on his coat with the name "Rick Zechans" on it. "Doc, thank goodness you're here!" His father said quickly. "My son here is coughing up blood."
Doctor Rick sighed deeply upon hearing this. "So he's already doing that," he muttered quietly to himself.
"What did you say?" His father replied, surprised at what he had heard. "You knew this was going to happen?!"
Dr. Rick sighed again. "Yes, I did Mr. Woodring," he replied. "You see, when your son arrived here, we were able to stabilize him, as the bullet had narrowly and miraculously missed his heart. At least, we thought it had. We looked at a scan we did when he got here, and we found something."
"What did you find?" The older Gavin asked him, his coughing having stopped.
"The bullet that entered your chest smashed through your sternum at a slightly upward angle," Doctor Rick began. "The bullet then passed right by your aorta, putting a tiny tear in it while also puncturing your left lung." He then deeply sighed. "We can't stop the bleeding. If we attempt to operate, we would more than likely agitate the tear, causing you to bleed out faster and die in a matter of a few seconds."
"What?!" His mother nearly screamed, while the older Gavin's eyes grew wide, as did his father's.
"So that means that I'm going to die?" The older Gavin asked the doctor.
"I'm sorry to say this, but yes, you are," Doctor Rick replied. "Within the next few hours."
"Oh my!" Aldora said with surprise, while Gavin was silent, having not expected that.
The older Gavin and the rest of his family, minus his father, began to cry, while tears started to form in his father's eyes as the doctor spoke once more. "I'll come back when it's time," He said before leaving the room.
They cried for at least an hour, before Gavin managed to speak. "H-How about w-we talk about the g-good times we had as a family," he said, his voice shaking as he spoke.
His father then spoke up, his voice full of emotion. "Good idea son," he replied. "What do you want to talk about f-first?"
And with that, the family began to talk about various things, such as the trip they took to the Caribbean and went swimming with dolphins.
After a few hours had passed, the older Gavin was laying down, feeling very weak. The doctor then walked in along with a nurse, who was carrying a tray with a shot and a bottle of medicine on it.
"It's time Mr. and Mrs. Woodring," Doctor Rick said to them, before turning to the older Gavin. "Anything else you want to tell your family?"
"Mom, Dad," the older Gavin began. "When I'm gone, cremate me. I don't care what happens to my ashes, but please cremate me. And stay strong. Don't let my death break you down or apart." He then turned to his little sisters, who were crying hard still. "Jane, Veronica, and Rose, treat each other well. Don't fight, and help Mom and Dad."
Upon hearing this, his sisters began crying harder and louder, while he turned to the doctor and said, "I'm ready."
The doctor nodded, and turned to the nurse, who then stepped up and set the tray down. "It'll be quick," The nurse said as she filled the shot with the medicine.
As she started to push the needle into a vein in his arm, he said, "I love you all very much."
"We love you too son," His father replied, tears streaming from his eyes as he spoke. The nurse then began to inject the medicine into him.
"Goodbye," His mother added as he felt the medicine take effect, and his eyes shut. "We love you."
And with that, the older Gavin slipped away from the world.
As Aldora and Gavin watched the scene slowly fade away, leaving them in an empty hospital room, he spoke. "Why are we being shown this?" He asked. "That didn't happen to me."
"I don't know," Aldora replied, trying to come up with some reasonable explanation, but failing every time.
"These memories have to be in my mind for some reason!" he exclaimed as he gestured to the hospital room. "But why?!"
AS soon as he said those words, there was a small purple flash, and a small cat made up of some sort of purple stone or gem as the centerpiece appeared, with a small loop on its back. It then floated over to the necklace Gavin was holding in his hands, and hooked onto it, before the hospital bed disappeared, with a large set of stairs lit with torches underneath it.
"Well, only one way to find out," Aldora replied as she pointed at the stairs.
With that, the two of them headed down the stairs, while the hospital room broke down into nothingness.
They walked and walked and walked for what seemed like hours, before they eventually reached the bottom of the stairs. There, sitting before them, was another door.
But it was massive!
It consisted of two 15 feet tall red doors with golden and titanium dragons stretching across them, while other animals, such as foxes and rabbits sat beneath them. In the middle was a large doorhandle in the shape of a fox's tail.
"I wonder what's behind this?" he asked Aldora, who shrugged in response.
"Only one way to find out."
And with that, Gavin grabbed the doorhandle and turned it.
As soon as the handle had been turned, it shrunk into the right door, disappearing from sight, before the eyes of the dragons began to softly glow. After several seconds had passed, the eyes were shining brightly, and the doors slowly began to open inwards, revealing a pitch dark hallway or room behind it.
"Well, here we go," Gavin said to Aldora, before heading into the darkness, prompting Aldora to go after him.
As they went inside, the doors shut behind them, leaving them in total darkness. Then, after a few seconds, they spotted the older version of Gavin floating in the air, looking around with confusion.
"What is this?" The older Gavin said as he looked around. "Am I in Heaven?"
"No, you are not in Heaven, Gavin William Woodring," A majestic female voice answered, startling all three of them. They quickly looked for the source of the voice, before an almost blinding light appeared before the older version of Gavin.
"What's that?" Gavin said with confusion, before getting shushed by Aldora.
"Watch, and we'll find out."
"Who are you?" The older Gavin asked the light with curiosity and confusion. "Are you an angel?"
"I am more than an angel," The voice replied. "And I am known by many names in your world. Isis, Amaterasu, Nut, and many, many more. I am a god."
As soon as they heard this, all three's eyes went wide with shock.
"I am the goddess Kami, creator of all," The light stated.
"'Kami?'" The older Gavin replied, having never heard that name before. "Can you tell me where I am?
"Yes, dear Gavin," Kami said. "You are in a special place of nothingness. A place that exists where nothing else does. It is called 'The Void.'"
"The Void?" Older Gavin repeated. "Why am I here?"
"You are here to be given a second chance at life," Kami replied, shocking everyone. "You will be sent to another world to have this second chance."
"But why?" Older Gavin asked Kami, confused. "Why a second chance and why in another world?"
"It is because of your heart you are being given a second chance," Kami replied. "In your world, most of the people are only focused on themselves, and most of the people who try to help others are doing it to get focus on themselves, and not on the people who need help. Their hearts are those of cowards, thieves, cheaters, and other bad things. Your heart, however, is that of a hero. You put others first, and help those who need it without expecting anything in return. As for why you must be sent to another world to have a second chance, it is because of the rules I put in place in your world. All who die here cannot be reborn on this world."
Everyone's eyes were extremely wide at this point. What an interesting turn of events!
"Kami, will I ever see my family again?" Older Gavin asked the goddess.
"You will," Kami replied, causing him to smile. "But it will be a while before you do. Now, let me send you on your way." A large blue hole then appeared before him, with multi-colored sparks running along its edge.
As Older Gavin was sent into the portal, Aldora and the other Gavin heard Kami say, "Use the powers I gave you to be what you always wanted to be. A hero."
Then, the scenery changed once more, with them now standing before a somewhat small red brick building that had a playground on one side of it. A sign sitting next to it read "Little Hearts Orphanage," in rainbow letters, and it appeared to be quite late at night. The portal they had seen just a few seconds earlier then appeared in front of the orphanage steps, before disappearing after several seconds, revealing a small basket on the front porch. Then, they heard the doorbell ring once, before there was silence.
Several seconds later, the front door opened, revealing a 5 foot 6 inch tall 38-year-old woman with blonde hair, blue eyes, and tan skin. She was wearing a bright pink bathrobe, with fuzzy matching slippers on her feet. She immediately spotted the basket, and gasped softly, before she reached down and picked up the basket. "Well hello there little one," She whispered with a smile. "And who are you?" She continued as she turned around and went back inside, softly shutting and locking the door behind her.
Aldora hummed in thought as she looked at the orphanage for several more seconds, before turning to Gavin, only to be surprised as she saw a shocked look of recognition on his face.
"Do you know this place?" She asked him, prompting him to nod.
"This is the orphanage I grew up in before my mother adopted me," He replied slowly, making her eyes widen.
"Oh," She said simply, unsure of what else she could say in a situation like this.
"But what does it mean?" He said with confusion. "Is this my mind's attempt to make a backstory for myself, and failing horribly with it? Or am I going crazy?"
As if answering him, a small golden-yellow glowing object floated through the door and over to them, catching their attention. The object looked like a pair of gold clasps one would see on a necklace.
As they floated there, the necklace in Gavin's hand began to glow lightly, and floated out of his hand over to the clasps, who then attached themselves to the end of the necklace. Once they were firmly attached, the entire necklace gained a faint golden aura and floated back into his hand, while the orphanage door opened once more, revealing darkness inside it.
"Well, looks like there's only one way to find out," Aldora replied as she pointed at the doorway. "Ready to get some answers?"
"Yeah, I am," Gavin replied with a nod, before he started walking towards the doorway, with her in tow.
When they stepped inside the doorway, the door shut behind them loudly, making them jump a bit and leaving them in pure darkness.
"Okay, now what?" Gavin said as he looked around, or, tried to at least. It was so dark that the only thing he could see was the necklace.
Then, the necklace started to grow brighter, and way off in the distance, he saw a similar glow. "Hey, I see something over there," He said to Aldora as he started walking towards the glow, prompting her to follow him.
"What is it?" She asked him, prompting him to squint at the glow as they approached it.
"I can't quite tell," he replied with a shrug. "The glow's making it hard to make out what it is."
Eventually, after several minutes of walking, the two made it to the glow, and stopped in place, surprise on their faces.
"What is this?" he said as he stared at the massive gate before them.
Said gate was at least two stories tall, and made of pure gold. It was extremely smooth. So smooth, in fact, that they could see their reflections in it.
"A mental barrier," Aldora replied after a couple minutes of silence. "One made by a very powerful being."
"You serious?" he asked her, prompting her to nod. "Ookay, so how do we remove it?"
"Use the keyhole," She replied simply as she pointed to the center of the gate. There, sitting right on the seam of the two doors making up the gate, was a large indent in the gold.
And it looked rather familiar.
"Alright," he replied with a shrug, before he looked at the indent once more. Then, his eyes widened, and he held up the necklace in his hand. "Yeah, I think this might work." He then walked forward and carefully inserted the necklace into the indent.
Once the necklace was firmly inside, it began to glow brighter and brighter, with small glowing cracks forming at its edges. And the cracks were growing bigger. And bigger.
The two watched as the cracks continued to grow and glow, with them quickly spreading across the entire gate. After about ten seconds had passed, the entire gate was covered in glowing cracks, which then stopped growing.
"Huh, I thought something else would happen," Gavin said after a couple minutes had passed and nothing else had happened.
KABOOOM!
The entire gate exploded in a massive and bright explosion that knocked them off their feet and blinded them.
"What in the heck?!" He said with confusion as he rubbed his eyes, trying to speed along the regaining of his vision. "Why'd it do that?!" His vision then returned, and his eyes widened to find that they were once more back in the real world, with Yan Yan sitting in her chair, looking down. "Wait, we're back already?! But we didn't find what we were looking fo-" He then stiffened as memories started rushing through his head. Memories of his family, the life he had before this, and his death.
"Ugh, well that was certainly a trip," Aldora groaned as she let go of his hands and put one to her forehead, feeling a bit of a headache. She then noticed that Gavin was quite stiff, with his eyes wide, and the purple smoke still in his nostrils. "Are you alright Gavin?"
He didn't respond.
"Gavin?" Aldora said with some worry in her voice, before noticing that some tears were forming in his eyes. "Are you alright?" She repeated, before the smoke cobras retracted from his nose and turned their heads back to the table, while their heads fused back into one.
He blinked several times, before he rubbed his nose a few times, trying to get the slight stinging sensation from the cobras to go away. "Y-Y-Yeah, I'm okay," he replied, sounding a bit emotional.
"Are you sure?" She asked him. "You don't sound okay."
"Yeah, kid, you really don't," Yan Yan added, finally looking at him and revealing there were tears in her eyes.
Seeing the tears in Yan Yan's eyes really threw him off, as he'd never seen her cry before. She'd struck him as a tough girl, and one who almost never cried.
He then sighed, and spoke. "Yeah, I'm not fine," he replied, his voice getting shaky. "I remember everything."
"And what exactly does that mean?" Yan Yan asked him, having already gotten a bit of an idea as to what it was.
"I…I remember my family," he replied, sounding more emotional. "The one I had before I died."
"Oh," Yan Yan said, sounding only a little bit surprised. "I see." 'Who knew that he had all that hidden in him?' She thought to herself. 'Does his mother know about this? Is this why she adopted him?'
Then, the cobra started to move again, catching their attention. It unhinged its jaws and turned its head to that it was facing the table, before it spat out a golden glass orb the size of an orange. It then closed its mouth, and faded away, with the Eye of Minerva slowly retuning to its normal soft glow.
"W-What's that?" He asked as he gestured to the golden orb, doing his best to not break down.
"It's a record of what we witnessed," Aldora replied as she picked up the orb, before handing it over to him. "Take it."
"Why?" he asked her.
"It belongs to you," Aldora answered, putting it in his hand and closing his fingers around it. "And only you. To view what is inside it, just hold it and look into it."
"Oh," he said as he held the orb, feeling its cool surface against his skin. "So, um, did you figure out the second reason for why my mother adopted me?" he asked, changing the subject a bit.
Aldora sighed, and shook her head. "No, I didn't," She replied. "Your hidden past, while indeed surprising, doesn't really seem like a good reason for why she hid you from the magical community for so long."
"I see," he said, sounding bit disappointed.
"But I'm not giving up," Aldora replied, surprising him and Yan Yan. "What, you really think I'm going to not help out such an interesting fellow?" She said to Yan Yan as she gestured to him. "Exploring his mind was the most exciting thing to ever happen when using the Eye."
"Um, okay," Gavin said with surprise. "So, what else do you have in mind?"
Aldora opened her mouth to speak again, a large smile on her face, before there was a loud pounding on the front door, which instantly changed her entire demeanor. She groaned as she got out of her chair with a frown on her face, and started marching towards the front of the store.
"What's going on?" Yan Yan asked her friend.
"Trouble, that's what," Aldora replied as she stepped through the curtain and into the front of the store. They then heard the front door open.
"Well hello there baby!" A slimy, male voice that sounded somewhat nasal said from the front. "How are you today?"
"Go fuck yourself Bart!" Aldora replied, making Gavin and Yan Yan arch their eyebrows with confusion.
"Oh come now, is that any way to speak to your boyfriend?"
"We're not dating anymore Bart!" Aldora yelled at the speaker. "We broke up two months ago! And every time you come in trying to get me back, I say no! How many times do I have to tell you, I DON'T WANT YOU BACK!" She screamed.
Gavin and Yan Yan then looked at each other, and quickly got up from their seats, heading to the front to make sure Aldora was okay while he pocketed the orb.
When they stepped through the front, they saw that Aldora was standing before the counter, her hands on her hips as she looked at another goblin, this one being male. This goblin stood 3 foot 7 inches tall, and had dark green skin and pointy ears. He had black hair cut in a buzzcut that did not look good on him, an upturned nose, a ring piercing in his right ear, two stud piercings in his nose, black eyes, a long tail that had a large scar running along one side of it, a somewhat skinny body, and had two four-fingered hands. He was wearing a gray trench coat that had some holes in the bottoms, gray pants, and brown shoes.
"Oh come on, you know that's not true," Bart said with a grin as he stared at Aldora. "You know you want me baby."
"I wouldn't want you even if you were the last man in the entire universe!" Aldora replied with a huff, crossing her arms as she spoke. "SO FUCK OFF AND GET OUT OF MY SHOP!" She screamed, her voice shaking the glass.
Bart was silent at that for several seconds, before he frowned. "So, you want to play that way, huh?" he said to her, before grinning evilly. "Well then, let's play!" He then grabbed her arm and threw her roughly onto the floor, shocking her and the others.
As he raised his fist, getting ready to start beating Aldora, Gavin frowned deeply, before he leaped forward and grabbed the goblin's fist with his hand.
"Hey! Stay out of this!" Bart spat at Gavin as he did his best to get his fist out of Gavin's grip, but to no avail. 'How strong is this guy?! It's like my hand's being held in steel!' he thought as he looked at the human, only to gain a shocked look at what he was seeing.
The human's eyes were glowing a light blue.
"You…will not…hurt…Aldora," Gavin growled, his voice sounding a bit deeper, while his eyes shined even brighter. Then, a light blue ring of energy appeared right around the hand holding Bart's fist, before slowly moving up his arm. As it did so, it showed that his arm had completely changed!
His hand now had three fingers on it instead of five, and looked faintly like a paw of some sort. Black fur completely covered his hand and ended halfway up his forearms in jagged edges that were even with each other. A large metal spike in the shape of a cone sat on the back of his hand, with its point looking quite sharp. The ring continued up to his shoulder, before growing larger to encompass his entire body. The rest of his arm was covered in blue fur, while his shoulder had a thick ring of black fur surrounding it.
Once the ring had completely gone over his entire body, it disappeared, as did all of his clothes except for his necklace. Gavin's torso and chest were now completely covered in shaggy cream-colored fur, while a large metal spike that matched the ones on his hands sat in the top-middle of his chest. A thick line of black fur ran around his waist, acting like a natural belt, while blue fur was on his thighs, shaped in such a way that it looked like he was wearing shorts. His legs the rest of the way down to his feet were covered in black fur, and he was standing on his toes, of which he had three on each foot. A medium-length tail stuck out behind him, colored blue as well, and had a 90-degree bend at the end of it pointing down in a sharp point. His head was shaped quite similar to a jackal's, but he had a slightly longer muzzle and tall pointy ears that stood straight up. The black fur on his head made a mask pattern on the face from the nose to either side of the head, with a black stripe going from the bridge of the nose to the rear of the head as well, while blue fur filled in the spaces in the pattern. Four black and small tear-shaped appendages hung from the back of his head, and his eyes were still blue, but now slightly vertically slitted.
The only thing that hadn't changed during his transformation were his eyes and his height, as he still stood 6 feet tall.
"Never!" Gavin growled once more as he lifted up the male goblin and looked him in the eyes.
"Eheh, easy there buddy," Bart said to him, an uneasy look on his face. "I wasn't actually going to hit her, you see. I was just going to scare her."
"Grrrrr!" Gavin growled even more with anger as he looked at Bart, before he looked down at Aldora, who was staring at Gavin with wide eyes. "What should I do with him?" he asked her.
"Oh, I think I have some ideas," Aldora said with an evil chuckle as she got up, before she started heading towards the back, beckoning for them to follow her.
A few minutes later, they walked back out, and Gavin and Aldora walked over to the shop's front door, before she opened it and let Gavin throw Bart out. Bart was now tied up with the torn remnants of his jacket, while the words "I beat women" were written on him multiple times in permanent marker. "NOW DON'T EVER COME BACK! YOU'RE BANNED FROM HERE PERMANENTLY!" She yelled at Bart before slamming the door, while Bart moaned with pain, having several large bruises on his face and head from Aldora's fists.
"Well then, now that that's over, WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU TURN INTO?!" Aldora yelled with confusion as she stared at Gavin, who rubbed his ears while wincing.
"Hey, easy on the yelling," he replied, before looking at himself with interest. "I'm not quite sure honestly," he continued. "It seems familiar though."
"Wait, you've turned into this thing before?" Yan Yan asked him, prompting him to shake his head.
"No, I've never turned into this form before," he replied. "What I meant was that I've seen this before. I just can't quite remember where though."
"Huh," Yan Yan said with surprise. "How about that?"
"Well, you look like a werewolf of some sort," Aldora replied as she looked him up and down. "Minus the metal spikes, and those weird appendages on your head."
"I'm not a werewolf," he replied. "Don't ask me how I know. I just do." He then rubbed his head as he tried to think of what he was. "I think I'm…some sort of…" he trailed off, closing his eyes to concentrate on his thoughts. 'Okay, what am I?' He thought. 'Some sort of jackal?'
Then, after a few seconds, a memory came to the forefront of his mind.
Flashback
Eight-year-old Gavin had a smile on his face as he looked at the pile of presents under the Christmas tree.
"Merry Christmas sweetie!" His mother said to him with a smile, before she picked up a small package wrapped in blue wrapping paper and handed it to him.
Gavin smiled widely as he got the package and started tearing off the paper, soon revealing a small plushie of the weird, blue and cream yellow furred canine creature.
He then gasped. "Lucario?! Thanks mom!" he said as he got up and hugged her with a smile.
"You're welcome sweetie!" She responded. "I know that Lucario is one of your favorite Pokemon."
Flashback end
"I'm a Pokemon," He said.
"What's a Pokey-mon?" Aldora asked him.
"'Pokemon,'" He replied, correcting her pronunciation. "From what I remember, it was a very popular video game in my world that consisted of the player going around and catching creatures with powers that are called Pokemon."
"So, wait, let me get this straight," Yan Yan said, putting a paw to her forehead as she spoke. "You're from another universe, and the creature you turned into is from a video game?"
"Yeah, and it's called 'Lucario,'" He replied, making her groan.
"Ughhhh!" Yan Yan groaned with frustration, feeling a headache coming on.
"'Lucario?'" Aldora replied, before smiling. "Sounds hot."
Gavin blushed upon hearing that, before looking at Yan Yan again. "You alright Yan Yan?" He asked her.
"I will be kid," She replied with a heavy sigh. "It's just a lot to take in."
"Yeah, it is," he said with a nod, before Aldora gasped.
"Wait, maybe this is why your mother kept you apart from the magical community for so long," She said, making him arch an eyebrow.
"You think so?" He asked her.
"Maybe," She replied with a shrug. "There's really only one way to be certain."
At that, he sighed. "Let me guess. It's to confront her," he said, causing her to nod. "Oh boy," he continued, not really excited about that.
"Hey, I'm sure it won't be that bad," Aldora said to him.
"I hope so," he said, before turning to Yan Yan. "So, we leaving now?"
"Yeah, we better," Yan Yan replied, before looking him up and down again. "You should change back first though. You'll draw attention staying like that."
"Right, right," He said. "But how do I do that? I don't even know how I changed in the first place."
"Hmmm, try thinking about being human," Aldora replied. "From what I've heard, that's how dragons first start out. Eventually changing forms will become second nature, and you won't have to even think about it."
"Really?" He asked her, prompting her to nod. "Well, alright then." He then closed his eyes and began to think of himself as a human. 'Change back,' He thought.
As he did so, the ring of blue light from before appeared right above his head, and quickly went down, showing his body was turning back to his clothed, human self.
Soon, he had changed back, and the ring disappeared, before he opened his eyes, feeling that he had changed again. "Good, it worked," he said, before turning to Aldora with a smile. "Thanks Aldora, for everything."
"No problem," Aldora replied with a matching smile. "Come again!" She continued as they left the shop, before she shut and locked the door. She then sighed, watching them walk around the corner, before she headed to the back of the shop while muttering, "I need a drink."
As Gavin and Yan Yan reached the front door, he sighed as he got out his keys. "Well, here we go," he said as he put them into the lock and turned them, before opening the door. "Hey mom! We're home!" He called out as he stepped inside with Yan Yan, shutting and locking the door behind them.
"Hey sweetie!" His mother said from the kitchen. "How was your visit to the Magus Bazaar?"
"Informative," he replied as they walked into the kitchen, where he found his mother cutting up some vegetables while in her centaur form.
"Good," She replied as she chopped up a carrot and put it in a pot, before she started cutting up some potatoes. "I'm sure it was a bit overwhelming."
"A bit," he replied honestly. "Actually mom, we need to talk about something."
"Oh, about what?" She asked him with curiosity.
"The real reason you kept me apart from the Magical Community for so long," he said, making her pause, before she chuckled.
"But sweetie, I already told you, I was waiting till you were 18," Jane replied.
"That's not really a good reason mom, and you know it," He answered her, before he sighed. "Just tell me the truth."
At that, Jane sighed. "The truth," She muttered. "It is not an easy thing to say, sweetie," She continued as she turned to Gavin. "Not easy at all."
Gavin then gulped, before he closed his eyes. "Is this the reason why?" He asked, before the ring of energy appeared around his feet and rose up, while he held the glass orb from earlier in his hand. "Is it?" He asked again as he opened his eyes and looked at his mother, only to see a shocked look on her face, before she dropped the knife on the counter. "Mom?"
"You…you changed," She said, shock in her voice. "I…I never knew you could do that."
"Wait, so this isn't the reason why you kept him away from the magical community?" Yan Yan asked her. "If it's not, then what is?"
At that, his mother sighed. "Let's continued this in the living room," She said, before she headed out of the kitchen, prompting him and Yan Yan to follow her.
Once they reached the living room, she sat down on the floor, while they sat on the couch.
"So, what's the reason?" Yan Yan asked her, causing her to sigh once more.
"When I found you at that orphanage all those years ago and adopted you, I got everything that had been found with you when you'd arrived at the orphanage," Jane replied. "One of those things was a blank piece of paper that had somehow survived all those years without being damaged at all. When I touched it, a message appeared."
"A message?" Yan Yan said with an arched eyebrow. "What kind of message?"
"It said that you had great power," Jane replied as she looked at Gavin. "I was so confused upon reading the message. What power was it speaking of? I couldn't sense any magic coming from you at all! Then, the message and the paper it was on turned to dust and blew away. That got me worried."
"Why?" He asked his mother. "Why would that get you worried?"
"Because no human could make a message do that," Jane replied. "Only someone with magic could. And that made me realize that they were probably telling the truth, and that your power was hidden."
"Okay, but why hide me?" He asked her.
"Because I feared for your life," She replied. "If someone were to have figured out that my child had great power, they could have taken you from me, and possibly used you. Or killed you to get your power."
"Who could have done that?" He asked her.
"Oh, many people. Goblins, trolls, hobgoblins, evil elves," his mother replied. "But the ones I feared you would be captured by the most were the Huntsclan."
"The Huntsclan?" he repeated. "Who are they?"
"The Huntsclan are an order of human hunters who know about the magical underworld, dating back thousands of years," Yan Yan replied. "Their honor dictates the slaying or capture of magical creatures and the thievery of artifacts. They are equipped with ancient and futuristic weaponry and equipment. Their goal and mission is to rid the Earth of all magical creatures, which they see as lesser beings. They believe that magical creatures are 'unnatural' and need to be wiped out from the world." She then turned back to Jane. "You really feared they would go after him?"
"Yes, very much so," Jane replied with a nod. "A few weeks after I'd adopted him, a Huntsman was spotted in the area. I didn't dare think it was a coincidence, so I decided to keep him as far away from the magical community until he was 18, as I figured by then he would be ready." She then turned to Gavin. "I am so sorry for keeping this from you, son," She replied, tears streaming down her cheeks. "I just wanted to protect you."
"Mom, it's okay," He replied as he got off the couch and walked over to her, before wrapping his arms around her in a hug. "You were just doing what you thought was best. I can't blame you for doing what you did."
"Son," She said as she hugged him back, her tears flowing freely. "Thank you."
She continued to sob for several minutes, relief filling her body. She had always feared that her son would hate her for lying to him, keeping him in the dark about the magical world. But now, she felt so happy to know that her fears were unneeded.
Eventually, she let go of him and stopped crying, while Gavin let go of her.
"So, um, what are you exactly?" She asked him with curiosity. "Some sort of werewolf?"
"Before I tell you that, I need you to look into this," he said as he handed her the orb, confusing her.
"Um, okay," She said before she looked into the orb, before she stiffened as her eyes turned golden, matching the orb.
"You sure that's a good idea kid?" Yan Yan asked him.
"She's my mother," he replied. "She deserves to know about my paAAST!" He continued as he was suddenly grabbed by his mother and pulled up against her, before she started bawling, having apparently seen all the orb had inside.
"You poor thing!" She bawled as she hugged him tightly, making him grunt a bit as he was pressed deeper into her cleavage, while the orb fell onto the soft carpet, still glowing.
She continued to bawl, and bawl, and bawl for at least ten solid minutes, before she slowly started to calm down, with Gavin having also cried a bit.
"I'm *sniff* so sorry you *sniff* had to go through that," She said to her son as she lessened her grip so he could look up at her.
"Thanks Mom," he replied with a small smile, which made her cry a bit more, but with happiness. "So, um, what are we having for dinner?" he asked her, deciding to change the subject
"*Sniff* We're, um, *sniff* having beef stew," She replied as she continued to sniff, rubbing the tears from her eyes as she let him go, while he changed back.
"Would you like some help?" He asked her as he grabbed the orb and put it in his pocket.
"Sure," She replied, smiling at her son as she got up and the two started heading towards the kitchen.
As they left, Yan Yan smiled from her position on the couch. 'It looks like things are going to be just fine,' She thought as she watched them head to the kitchen. 'Fine indeed.'
Well, this was an interesting chapter!
Can't wait to write more!
Other stories will be updated soon. Hopefully!
Now, would you guys like me to genderbend Jake Long? Or keep him as is? And maybe add in an aged-up Haley Long?
And who would you like to be his teacher? Note: Sun Park cannot be his teacher or in the harem. I don't like her.
