Third time's the charm right? Well, things are definitely gonna pick up starting from here

So um...life was kicking my ass, and yeah...priorities.

That Friday morning was the same; the girls were all in school, but this time, Bubbles was in the library. Normally she'd be in homeroom coloring, but nope, she was actually reading; not only was she reading, she had quite the amount of books next to her. Why all of a sudden this intrigued her yet again, she had no answer. All she knew was that it'd been on her mind since yesterday, and she needed to know just what-

"Hey, Bubbles!"

Being pulled out of her trance, she jolted at the sound. Turning, her eyes widened at the sight of someone she hadn't seen in a while.

"Chesa, hey!" Bubbles jumped up to hug her. "Haven't seen you in a while!"

Setting her bag down, the two sat down.

"Yeah, same! It's been like, way too long!" Chesa exclaimed.

Bubbles pushed the book she was reading aside to give her friend her undivided attention.

"So when'd you get here? I thought you went to that private school," Bubbles wondered.

Chesa sighed, flipping her sandy hair. "Yeahhh but, they were too strict. Besides, I knew you'd be here so it wasn't like I didn't have a friend."

Bubbles and Chesa shared an inside expression, before Chesa took notice to the large amount of books.

"Well geez, if I didn't know any better I would've thought you were Blossom," Chesa teased.

Bubbles laughed. "Oh these? I'm just reading up on a topic."

"Oooh, whatcha reading on?" Chesa pressed further.

Bubbles opened her mouth to answer when another voice called her name. Turning, she saw Robin, and her smile grew.

"Hey, Rob'!" she greeted as she sat across from her, "Did you find her?"

"Yeah, she accepted the work," Robin informed her, "probably because she likes me."

"Well, duh! We are her favorite duo!" Bubbles voiced.

As the blonde and brunette laugh, Chesa just moved her gaze back and forth. Robin opened her mouth to say something else, when she caught sight of the sandy haired girl next to her.

Bubbles followed her confused gaze and facepalmed.

"Oops! I almost forgot."

Bubbles turned to gesture to Robin. "Chesa, this is Robin, my childhood bestie."

Gesturing to Chesa, she turned to Robin. "This is Chesa, my friend from dance class."

Robin smiled and gave a little wave. "Hey, Chesa."

Chesa offered a small smile and "hey" before turning back to Bubbles.

"So, now that I'm back in Townsville you wanna hang out after school?" she asked Bubbles.

Bubbles gave an apologetic look. "Mm, sorry but.."

She glanced at Robin. "Robin and I are having a sleepover; it's our Friday thing."

Robin and Bubbles shared a smile, before Robin glanced at her phone.

"Hey, why don't we go wait in class?" Robin asked.

Getting up, Bubbles agreed with her. "Let me just put these back."

"What class do you guys have?" Chesa asked.

Robin and Bubbles both stopped, but only Bubbles looked back.

"English!" Bubbles answered, "are you in that class too?"

Chesa quickly scanned over her schedule, and her eyes brightened. "Yes!"

"Oh my god, come on!" Bubbles shouted with glee.

Chesa linked arms with Bubbles and the two ran off to class. Robin walked alone to class, already dreading the class period.

"Okay class, work with your desk mates and try to finish as much as you can; whatever you don't finish will be for homework."

While everyone started to converse and do their work, Blossom sighed. This was the one class Amelia nor her sisters were in, so she was on her own. Now don't get her wrong, she was capable of completing this within a good few minutes, but that didn't mean she didn't want at least a bit of interaction.

Oh well. More time for me to get my work done faster.

As she got started with her work, she felt someone sit in what would've been Amelia's seat. Glancing, she gasped.

"What, got something on my face, Pinky?"

Blossom finally managed to try and get some words out, but of course with the teacher walking in she didn't have the chance to.

"Hello, class, today-oh, there you are!"

The teacher averted his gaze towards where Blossom was sitting, and gestured to her tablemate. "You must be our new student; would you mind introducing yourself to the rest of the class?"

Getting up, they faced the rest of the class.

"Yo, the name's Berserk" was all she said before sitting down again.

That seemed to be good enough for the teacher, and he pulled out a stack of papers from his bag.

"Well class, be good to Berserk and be sure to make her feel welcome. For class today, I'm going to pass out these packets, and I want you all to work with your tablemates."

Blossom suppressed her sigh. Not having her best friend was already stressful enough, now she was stuck dealing with-

"Berserk."

She turned and saw the teacher now standing at their table.

"You know, Blossom's one of my brightest students," he bragged, "and you must be pretty bright as well considering you chose to sit next to her."

"Well, you know..."

Berserk shot her a mischievous smile. "She is Little Miss Perfect."

"I'm not-" Blossom began to rebuttal, but was cut off.

"Oh don't worry Blossom, I'm sure Berserk was just teasing," the teacher reassured her handing her a packet, "I highly suggest you two work together."

Blossom remained speechless even after he walked off. Snickers got her attention yet again, and she turned to the girl next to her.

"Well shit, Pinky, I thought you were more talkative than this."

Putting on an expression of mock hurt, she leaned in a bit. "That hurts, ya know."

Blossom just settled for staring at her. Unlike her own high ponytail, Berserk's hair was kept in a low ponytail with what looked to be a newer pair of those same hair ties she owned as a child; her bangs were still pointed at the end and her eyes were still that weird intermediate shade between pink and red. She even had a few new piercings, and industrial one for example.

"Take a damn pic, will ya? It'll last way longer."

Blossom shook her head, before looking down at her own packet. "Sorry."

"Oh, shut up."

Rolling her eyes, Blossom sighed and got started on her work. Luckily the questions were fairly easy, so she didn't have to worry about asking Berserk for help. Stealing a glance, she saw that Berserk took one look at the packet, huff and shove it aside before going back to her phone.

This is not going to go well.

She was on the third page when she sensed she was being watched. Turning, she saw Berserk was now staring at her.

"Need something?" Blossom asked.

"Nah, just thought I'd burn your face into my memory" was Berserk's snarky response.

Blossom heaved a sigh. "Look, if you're just going to be rude, then why do you keep-"

"Oh my god, I was just fucking with you."

Blossom narrowed her eyes at the now snickering powerpunk. She was ready to make her own snarky comment when the bell rang.

Blossom hurried to gather her things and slung her backpack over her shoulders.

"Yo, Pinky."

Sighing, she turned to Berserk. "What is it now?"

Outstretching her arm, she handed Blossom her phone which she clearly hadn't noticed before. Blossom hesitantly took her phone, placing it in her pocket.

"Thanks."

"Yeah yeah yeah, no need for the praise."

Berserk turned to walk out the door, but stopped in her tracks. Turning back, she flashed another mischievous grin.

"We're gonna have so much fun being tablemates."

Without another word, she walked out the door, Blossom irritably following behind.

It was a teacher's worst nightmare.

Buttercup, Dalicia, and Mitch all in one class.

Well, this time it was moreso Mitch and Buttercup, Dalicia being asleep, but even they were a nightmare...

"Hah, gotcha!" Mitch cried, throwing a wad of paper at Buttercup.

Buttercup dodged the paper with ease. "Sike!"

Laughing, the two continued their battle, even after their teacher approached them.

"Guys, settle down," their teacher voiced.

Sighing, Mitch and Buttercup stopped their shenanigans and sat back down. Dalicia was just starting to wake up, and she stretched her arms while letting out a yawn. Turning to face her friends, she frowned in confusion.

"What'd I miss?" she sleepily asked.

"Teach stopped our fun," Mitch grumbled, grabbing his pencil.

Letting out a small chuckle, Dalicia rolled her eyes. She took notice of a paper in front of her and frowned.

"Did you guys even get done last time's work?" she asked.

Mitch snickered, and Buttercup rolled her eyes.

"Only because Blossom kept naggin' me about it!" Buttercup defensively answered.

Mitch's snickers turned into full-blown laughs. ""Ha!"

Buttercup growled. "Shut it, Mitch!"

Dalicia giggled, and put her paper away in her backpack. Turning to her friends, she pointed her lips towards the teacher. The two turned, before smirking at Dalicia.

"You guys thinking what I'm thinking?" Buttercup asked.

Grabbing their things, they left the room as silently and quicky as possible.

"Man, that class is ass," Dalicia remarked.

Buttercup snickered. "No kidding."

"Student lounge?" Mitch wondered.

Buttercup ruffled his hair. "Duh! Where else?"

Laughing and joking with one another, they headed down to the student lounge; to their luck, they had a free spot in one of the far back corners. Racing over, they all collapsed into the seat.

"Okay so, you guys up for a game of Little Land of Horrors?" Dalicia piped up.

"Always am!" Buttercup declared.

"Psh, you guys are no help in us escaping," Mitch snickered.

"Oh yeah?" Dalicia asked, "we'll see about that!"

Pulling out their consoles, the trio started their game.

Getting home from the store, Professor Utonium set the bags of groceries down and locked the front door. Kicking his shoes off, he placed the bags onto the chairs and began placing the groceries away. He hadn't been too busy that day, so he figured he'd take the opportunity to restock on food and supplies they needed.

Turning to grab another bag, he stole a quick glance at the clock.

The girls should be getting ready to head to lunch now, he thought to himself.

While he finished putting away the groceries, he thought about his daughters. From the moment his former wife(1) and he decided to create embryos in the lab, to him adding in Chemical X in a fit of panic, to now, as high-schoolers.

"They grow up so fast," he commented to himself, "and I know they'll continue to succeed in life."

Finishing storing the groceries, he placed the grocery bags in a small closet and went towards the cupboards. He hadn't had a chance to get his morning coffee, and after the busy morning he had it was well-deserved. While the machine warmed up, he quickly loaded the dishwasher and wiped off the counters. It wasn't long before his coffee was ready to be made, and he walked over to put it to make. He didn't have too much to do tis day, so luckily once this was done he could change into his casual clothes and relax until his girls came home. Thinking about his girls reminded him of their friends, moreso Robin; every Friday, her and Bubbles would have sleepovers, and if he recalled correctly, she was supposed to be coming here after school.

Ding!

Turning around, he walked back towards the coffee machine and began pouring the rich, black liquid into his mug; letting out a breath of content, he made his way over to the living room and flopped onto the couch. He turned the TV on and relaxed his body for a few moments.

Robin looked between Chesa and Bubbles as they laughed together. During their English class, they had sat next to each other, leaving Robin to sit with a random classmate, and even then she could hear them laughing and chatting throughout the whole hour; now, while she had been picking at her afternoon meal, Chesa nor Bubbles even gave theirs a second thought. If she didn't know any better, she would've thought Chesa was trying to steal Bubbles...

No, Robin thought, she just missed Chesa. Bubbles would never do that to me.

Forcing a smile, she leaned forward. "So, what movie are we watching tonight, Bubs?"

Bubbles' smile fell, and she thought it over. "Mm, I don't know. I'm sure we'll figure something out."

Before Robin could open her mouth again, Chesa interjected.

"I know! Why don't we watch Little Land of Horrors?" she suggested.

Robin felt her heart stop. "...Did you just say 'we'?"

"Well yeah, aren't you planning a movie night?" Chesa asked.

Robin looked her up and down. "Um, no. Bubbles and I are having a sleepover after school. It's our thing."

Bubbles got was she was referring to and she turned to Chesa.

"It's sort of a family tradition," Bubbles added in, eyes brightening as she thought about it.

Robin's heart swelled at being referred to as family. Chesa soon realized what she was getting at, and nodded.

"Oh, okay."

Bubbles now gave Robin her undivided attention. "I can't wait! We're gonna have so much fun!"

"I know!" Robin agreed.

Now it was Chesa's turn to feel alienated. She was as her best friend chatted a mile a minute with Robin, who was clearly basking in the attention she was receiving. Why couldn't she join? It wasn't like they didn't spend enough time together.

The bell rang, signaling the end of lunch. Bubbles looked down and frowned at her tray.

"Aw man! I didn't finish my food!" Bubbles whined.

Robin set her bag back down. "Don't worry, I'll wait for you."

Bubbles grinned. "You're the best, Rob'."

"I'll wait too! I mean, it's not like my history class's that important!" Chesa joked.

Bubbles turned to Chesa. "Oh, okay. Thanks. Ches'!"

Seeing Bubbles was close to finishing her food, Robin turned to face her again.

"So what should we bake tonight?" Robin asked.

"Definitely brownies," Bubbles answered, feeling her mouth water already.

Chesa slung her bag over her shoulder and left the room, but Blossom nor Robin took much notice. Once Bubbles finished up, she tossed their trays out and walked side by side with Robin.

"How about I give you a ride?" Bubbles asked.

Before Robin could ask what she meant, she felt Bubbles' grip on her arm and her feet leave the ground. She couldn't do a thing as Bubbles flew at the speed of light to Robin's class. Upon arriving there, she set Robin down and slumped against the wall, clutching her midsection.

"Bubbles, what the hell?" Robin asked.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Bubbles voiced through her laughter, "I haven't done that to you in forever!"

Robin rolled her eyes, but knew she couldn't stay mad at her best friend. Laughing along, she shoved Bubbles. "Well don't do that again!"

Bubbles wiped her eyes and giggles. "Okay, I won't."

Regaining her composure, she looked at Robin. "So, did you want me to fly to your house, or did you wanna just come to mine once you grab your things?"

"You can come by," Robin reassured her, "you're always welcome."

Bubbled nodded, before checking the time. "Shoot, okay I gotta go. See you later!"

Sharing a quick hug, the girls went their separate ways.

Blossom had mixed feelings about Phys Ed. On one hand, she was more active than most of the other girls, but at the same time, it was almost like training for her. But today...she was not feeling gym class.

Especially not volleyball.

She walked towards the gym and was getting ready to sign in, when she felt an arm around her.

"Sheesh Pinky, ya following me?"

No. Not her. Anyone but her.

Turning around, her pink eyes locked with Berserk's red ones.

"Y-You're in this class too?" Blossom gulped.

Berserk rolled her eyes. "Nah, I'm sneaking in here just to piss ya off. Duh!"

Blossom rolled her eyes at the powerpunk's snarky response. Moving from under her arm, she turned to face her smirking counterpart.

"No funny business, got it?" Blossom sternly voiced.

Berserk feigned an expression of hurt. "What? Pinky, I would never!"

Blossom narrowed her eyes going towards the other group of girls. Berserk followed close behind, snickering to herself.

"Okay, ladies!" their gym teacher called out, "we're starting our volleyball unit. Grab a partner and a ball!"

Amelia wasn't in this class, so Blossom didn't know who else to go with. While everyone paired up and went to retrieve a ball, the ginger remained in her place, glancing around the room.

"Yo, Pinky, catch!"

Blossom turned and had it not been for her fast reflexes, the ball would've smacked her right in the face.

"What the heck, Berserk!" she cried.

Berserk rolled her eyes. "Oh quit whinin' and follow me."

Blossom scowled, but begrudgingly obeyed. Berserk picked a spot in the far end of the gym, which did not surprise Blossom in the least. Moving to the opposite side, she locked suspicious eyes with the cheekily grinning powerpunk.

"Ready, Pinky?" she called out.

Blossom swallowed uneasily. "Ready."

Berserk tossed the ball in the air, and Blossom was preparing for the impact of the hit. However, she hit the ball...

Much like everyone else did.

Still surprised, Blossom hit the ball without using her own superstrength. Did the Powerpunks even have their powers? And why was Berserk the only one here? Where were Brat and Brute-

"Yo, Pinky!"

Blossom saw the ball mere inches form her face and quickly threw her arms up, protecting her face.

"Geez, what's gotten into ya?" Berserk called out.

Feeling heat rush to her face, she served the ball back over to her side.

"There ya go!" Berserk called out, smirking ever-so-slightly.

Blossom's mind was racing with not just snarky comments but confusion. Just what did Berserk want with her? She knew asking her wouldn't do any good, but she wanted answers.

Before she could decide on what to do, the sound of the instructor's whistle rang through the gymnasium.

"Okay ladies, good class today!" they called out, "put the equipment away and get ready to head out!"

Berserk walked over towards the bin that the volleyballs were in while Blossom turned to head towards the locker room. Walking a few feet, she felt a shove behind her, and turned to lock eyes with Amber, the school bully; this girl was so rotten, she would've made even Princess burst into tears. Not that the girls and Princess were really enemies anymore...

"So Blossdumb, I saw your little friend wasn't here," Amber taunted, "poor thing. Even she's tired of you!"

"Hey, Amber!"

Both girls turned, but only Amber got hit in the face with a volleyball; not only was she hit in the face...

Blossom recognized that streak of power.

Breaking her gaze away from the groaning Amber, she watch Berserk saunter over to them.

"Piss off Amber," she commented, ignoring the puff's curious glance.

Amber got up ready to stand her ground, but the sight of power coming from her fist was enough to send her crying and fleeing.

Blossom finally found her words, and turned to the punk. "You...have your powers after all..."

Berserk stared at her, not saying a word. Finally, it dawned on Blossom.

"Thanks...for that..."

Berserk rolled her eyes. "Oh trust me, I didn't do it for you; I love making prissy little bitches cry."

She walked towards the locker room, leaving a baffled Blossom.

Just what is up with her?

Flying to the locker room, all she was thinking about was getting one of the better showers.

Wiping the sweat from his forehead, Professor Utonium drank some of his protein shake. With his work finished hours ago, he took the opportunity to get a workout in.

He knew the girls would be home soon, except for Bubbles (who'd be buying snacks and whatnot with Robin); their last class was only twenty minutes instead of the usual hour and it was a study hall class of some sorts, so he figured he'd better hop in and take a quick shower.

Getting out a good thirty minutes, he dried off and changed back into his set of casual clothes. Humming, he returned to the kitchen and finished up the rest of his smoothie. Walking over to rinse it out, he noticed the time, and knew that two of the triplets would be arriving eventually.

He had put the cup to dry when an abrupt knock on the door caused his soul to flee from his body. Wondering just who could be at the door, he made his way over.

The girls usually just open the door, and I'm sure Robin's still not home yet. Could it be the mayor or Ms. Bellum? But what would they want at this time?

Finally reaching the door, he turned the knob and pulled it towards him...

Not at all expecting the sight in front of him.

"Hey, where's Bubbles?"

While everyone else either drove or took the buses and/or metro home, Blossom and Buttercup flew.

"She decided to go home with Robin," Blossom answered, "she wanted to help her pack, I guess."

Buttercup made an offhanded noise, before Blossom tossed a question her way.

"Hey, random question but um...is...Brute in any of your classes?" Blossom asked.

Buttercup halted in her flight. "Brute? As in...Brute Plutonium?"

Blossom slowly nodded. "Yeah...Berserk is in mine-"

"What!"

Buttercup couldn't believe this. Just as they thought they no longer had to worry about any other enemies, now she's getting word that the Powerpunk Girls have returned?

"Buttercup, relax!" Blossom begged, "she didn't do anything bad! In fact...she was being nice."

"Pfft, nice shmice, you can't trust them, they're criminals!" Buttercup told her.

"I know, I know! I just...oh, I don't know! We hadn't seen them since we were five so I just assumed..." Blossom trailed off.

Buttercup felt a twinge of guilt. Blossom wasn't entirely wrong; a lot can change from the ages five and seventeen. But criminals were criminals...

Right?

"Well...just be careful!" Buttercup finally found her voice.

Blossom giggled; Buttercup was such a big softie.

"I will, don't worry," Blossom reassured her, "now come on. We gotta get home before Bubbles and Robin take over."

Laughing, the girls picked up their speed and raced home.

"All right, you guys are all set. Have a nice day!"

"Thanks, you too!

"You too!"

Pushing the cart, the two walked out of the door and towards the parking lot. Each grabbing a bag, the two placed them in the backseat and got themselves buckled up.

"Next stop: our houses!" Bubbles declared

Robin laughed, putting the car in reverse. "Yeah. You bring one bag, I'll bring the other and my bag."

"Gotcha," Bubbles agreed.

Putting the car in drive, Robin drove off towards their houses and Bubbles began to scroll through her messages.

"Aww oh my god!" Bubbles squealed.

Eyes still on the road, Robin was intrigued by the sudden sound. "Ooh, what is it?"

"Chesa got a new puppy!" Bubbles answered, practically fangirling over the dog, "it's a pug!"

Robin fought the urge to make a snarky comment, settling instead for "Oh, that's nice."

"Yeah!" Bubbles answered, not sensing Robin's tone.

Within no time, they pulled into the driveway, and Bubbles got out and grabbed a bag. Stopping, she stared at Robin's bag, before realizing she would have to park at her house, then walk over and carry both of the bags inside. Not that they were necessarily heavy...

Grabbing Robin's bag as well, she flew towards the door and swung it open.

"Hey, Professor! Hey, girls!" Bubbles called out.

She heard a "Yo!" from Buttercup, but still no response from Blossom or their father.

Setting the grocery bag down, she flew upstairs to set their bags down and see if maybe her other sister was upstairs.

Leaving her room, she flew towards the baby pink door towards the end of the hall. She had her fist raised until she caught sight of the sign.

"Please don't disturb."

Bubbles couldn't help the circular motion her eyes made. Flying back downstairs, she saw Robin setting the other bag down onto another chair.

"Hey, thanks for bringing my bag in," Robin voiced.

Bubbles rolled her eyes. "Well, of course! I wasn't gonna let you walk all this way carrying two bags."

Robin laughed before turning towards the living room. "Hey, Buttercup!"

"Sup, Rob'!" she called back out to her.

Bubbles rolled her eyes. "She's so obsessed with that game."

Robin laughed. "Ya don't say."

The two walked towards the lab to greet the professor, but were taken aback by yet another sign on this door.

"What the heck?" Bubbles voiced, "first Bloss' and now him?"

"Maybe they're working on some new experiment," Robin suggested.

Doubt filled through Bubbles' mind, but she didn't comment on it. Turning to Robin, she grabbed her hand.

"Well, let's get into our jammies and get this party started!" Bubbles cheered, before glancing towards the living room, "Buttercup we're forcing you to join!"

"Not until I beat this dummy!" her green sister called back.

Turning to Robin, she began to make her way to the stairs.

"Well come on, we gotta get our fun started!" she voiced.

Laughing at her best friend's bubbly state, she followed her up into her bedroom.

He was still in shock.

He wasn't sure just what he was expecting, but this...

This was such a heavy burden.

Yet he was entrusted with this...

The two stared one another down, one pair of eyes filled with pure hatred, and the other disgust.

Not breaking eye contact, he slammed the door of the small, cell-like room(1) as the "clink" of the lock echoed.

Shutting the lights off, he walked back upstairs and made sure to lock the laboratory.

It's for the best.

It's for the best.

I'm doing this for the people of Townsville.

So this had to be split, so hopefully the next chap won't take me too long haha!

1: okay so, I'm sure all the diehard fans remember the VR room from "Bubblesvicious", so think of it like that...or if you want, just look up SCP cell, since I kinda took inspo from that lmao.
