With a thump, Yuuki dropped Bram. The warrior flinched as his head bounced. With a Rose dropped to her knees. Cradling her partner's head she pushed his hair back. That cursed third eye thankfully had vanished. She could feel his racing wavelength. Smiling sadly she took his hand. On contact, his wavelength seemed to calm.
"I think your friend is gonna be just fine," Tsukasa whispered
"I'm glad I don't know what I'd do if I lost my partner," Rose said tapping Bram's forehead
"Partner, you two are together?" Tsukasa said with a smile.
"What?! It's more like we're colleagues, although." Rose replied blushing
"Could have fooled us your scent is all over him," Yuuki muttered
With a thump the balcony door opened. As a cool breeze rushed in Hans Lee leaped in. Taking in the scene he smiled politely. Crossing the room he placed a grocery back beside Tsukasa. The white-haired devil took in their visitors. Grinning he leaned back on his palms.
"You wouldn't be working with the creep in red would you?" He asked suspiciously
"Guy in red?" Rose asked puzzled
"About a year ago a town nearby inexplicably was infested with zombies," Tsukasa informed her
"Then this weird lanky guy in red blew through and took care of it," Lee added
Slowly it clicked in her mind. Alucard had slaughtered the zombie threat. How strong was he truly? Perhaps there was more to their supernatural superior. At the sound of a deep chuckle, she looked down. She was met with the tired eyes of her partner.
"What'd I miss?" He asked
"Well, we just learned Alucard had been to this area." She informed him
He chuckled again as he sat up. Slowly his eyes moved to Lee. His gaze locked on the piece of chicken in his hand. A near-silent gurgle sounded from his stomach. Hold out a had he asked a mute request.
"Yeah sure there's plenty pal," Lee said smiling
As he placed a bucket on the table Bram reached in. Biting into the chicken a euphoric feeling hit. It was as if he was getting the first meal after starving. Like an animal, he picked the bone clean.
"You must have been hungry," Tsubasa mumbled
"I'm always starving after an " episode"," Bram said snatching another piece
"So this was your super important situation?" Yuuki inquired
"Nope, this was just a pitstop." Lee corrected
The sound of a chomping caused the trio to turn. They froze at the sight of Bram. He had a large pile of bones stacked up like an offering. His face was coated in grease and chicken skin. His most recent piece poked from his mouth.
"Now that's a good meal." He mumbled
"Let's never take this guy to the buffet." Lee joked
"So umm we have a small problem," Rose said quietly
Frowning Bram places Anzai's file down. Sliding it across the table Yuuki went wide-eyed at the sight. They had a file on him. It looked as if they had been watching him. Looking up from the file he spoke in a hushed whisper.
"So you're here to kill me?" He asked
"We were but we've made a change in plan," Bram said watching him
As the devil reverted Bram smiled. With a click, he sent a badge across the table. With ease, Yuuki stopped it studying it intently. Placing it back on the table he locked eyes with Bram.
"Working with the cops never works out," Yukki muttered
As the badge hit the table Lee scooped it up. Smiling he turned it over in his hand. Quietly he shifted looking at the pair in the eye. It was almost as if he was looking through them. With a snicker, he dropped the badge into Yuuki's hand.
"These guys are by no means cops." He said ominously
"Our organization uses monsters to hunt the other monster," Bram said with a sly smile
A look of contemplation worse crossed Yukki's face. Looking the badge over once more he grinned. Clutching Tsubasa's hand he locked eyes with Bram. They shared a nod as they rose from the table. Smiling Lee let out a carefree laugh.
"This is going to be interesting, looks like they're gonna fight." He chuckled clapping
Standing in the moonlight Yuuki stared down Bram. With a slow breath, the meister cleared his mind. Before he could blink Yuuki was in front of him. Reacting on instinct Bram blocked. A swipe from his other hand took him by surprise. Before Yuuki could dodge Bram knees him in the stomach.
"Not bad but I'm just getting started." Yuuki proclaimed spitting blood
"That's good I thought this would be boring." Bram chuckled
It was Bram's turn to pounce launching a spin kick. Yuki swiftly raised his arm catching his leg. Smirking he slammed Bram into the ground. Rolling to his feet Bram's legs wobbled.
"Is that it?" Bram retorted coughing up blood
"You're either stubborn or too proud to give up," Yuuki replied with a slight smile
"I have to be or I'll lose control," Bram mumbled
Yuuki's eyes moved to Tsubasa receiving a weak nod. With a sigh, he clipped the badge. Sighing he turned back to Bram. Clearing his throat he spoke eyes locked on Bram.
"I'm going with you but." He paused "Tsubasa has to."
"That's it he fights you and we bring your girlfriend." Rose questioned
"Makes sense to me." Lee remarked
