"Alright guys; there have been a few sightings of this villain, right here, over the last few days. He is on the list of Top Most Wanted Villains In America. His name is Ultimate and we have been given the job of bringing him to justice." Doc walked in front of the group of four, Oz was standing off to the side.

Is it really okay for him to be ignoring his agency and spending all of his time here?

Luna glanced at him quickly and then leaned towards Eve's ear, whispering so quietly as to not let on to Doc that she was talking during his presentation.

"He still does this, huh? He used to drone on for hours before my dad finally put him on a time limit." Eve tried to hide her smile and force herself not to laugh, she leaned into Luna this time.

"To tell you the truth he still does that, so Rue helped me install this buzzer that goes off after thirty minutes and doesn't shut up until he stops talking." Luna's eyes shimmered out of the sheer enjoyment that sentence brought her.

"I have to see this."

"Is there a problem ladies?" Doc scolded them quickly and Luna cringed.

"Nope, none at all." Eve grinned widely which caused Luna to have to stifle a laugh. She was just like Luna. It had been about a couple of months now since Luna had been in America and after her birthday, she and Eve had become quick friends. This would also be the first time that the two of them would be doing a mission together. Luna had worked with Rue and Salem, also had gone out with Oz a couple times but this was the first job that they were all going to be together. A big fish required all of the big guns to be brought to one place. Doc went into explain how Ultimates quirk worked, any word that he chose he could apply to his body. If he said fire, his body would be covered in fire. If he said strength, his body would strengthen. It seemed like it would be a headache of a quirk to deal with, but thanks to Eve's quirk Luna was pretty sure that they would have the advantage. After they finally finished the brief the group got ready; Luna rubbed her wrists absentmindedly, the motion something comforting. Even with the missions that she had done so far there had never been any mishap with her quirk, but that didn't mean that it was no longer a possibility. Luna clipped her gloves to her belt and turned to see the rest of her friends.

Eve wore a full black, skin tight suit with blue designs over the length of the suit, a grey cloak flowed behind her elegantly and knee high grey boots to top the whole thing off. Luna took in Rue next, her costume had changed a bit since she had last seen it. A sleeveless, pale blue, crop top with dark grey accents complemented the tone of her skin; she wore tight dark grey pants that wrapped around her bare feet and had a long flowing water train that danced behind her. The whole thing was beautiful on her. Salem's outfit hadn't changed, his outfit consisted of creams and greens. A cream jacket with hunter green gloves, the same green color was used in his scarf. His shirt was a darker shade of cream and his pants matched his jacket. He also had dark green boots that came up to his calves. Oz walked in shortly after that, he was also in costume. His consisted of whites, light greys and purple. His shirt was two toned, purple and light grey; an oversized shawl pulled over the shirt, it had all three colors. His pants were white and his boots were the same. How he kept his outfit clean was beyond Luna.

"Alright, kiddos, you guys ready?" Doc's outfit was less extravagant and exactly how Luna remembered it. A long black coat with a shirt that came up to his neck that was deep burgundy color, he wore dark charcoal pants and black boots to finish off the whole outfit.

"You know, Doc…you could literally go out in that outfit and no one would think that you were in your hero costume." Luna joked with him and he flicked her in the forehead.

"I don't need anything extravagant. This outfit has done me good for years now. Why try to fix something that isn't broken?" He nodded his head for everyone to follow him out as he handed them all their communicators.

"We'll be breaking up into teams of two. Remember, the goal is to corner Ultimate. We need to limit the amount of damage he does. Luna, Salem. You're team one. Team two is Rue and Eve. Doc and I are team three. You each know where you need to be positioned, so let's get out there and take this guy down." The group collectively put the band around their necks and ear pieces in, then checked to make sure they were all connected. When they made it to the positions they were supposed to be in they waited for Oz and Doc's signal. They had been given the coordinates of the place Ultimate had been hiding in.

"Try not to go too hot, I don't need Cappy drying out." Cappy was the little reptile type water creature that was always perched on Rue's shoulder. He was part of her quirk after all. Rue's quirk was Water Dragon, a mix of her mother's water quirk and father's dragon tamer quirk. Cappy was his own entity though, even when her quirk deactivated he still existed independently.

"When have I ever dried little Cappy out?" Luna rubbed the little creature under his neck who squealed in delight. Luna's attention was brought back to the building they were watching when she heard as the building began to creak and moan. The building came crashing down thanks to Oz's quirk and they all jumped into action. The big man came running out of the dust, his body completely metal.

"How about we see how much heat you can stand before you melt!" Two waves of flames came flying at the man, normal reddish orange ones and pure red ones. Luna turned up the heat more as Ultimate began to squirm. He immediately turned his body into liquid which made steam rise and circle around the area.

"You're up Rue! Are you good Eve?" Luna yelled out as Rue and a now huge Cappy charged after Ultimate, Rue took command of the water that his body had become and Eve activated an ice quirk that she had been holding on to for a while.

"I'm good, we got this!" Eve froze the water up to his knees as Salem came sprinting at light speed out of left field. The only thing Luna saw was the blur of green and orange before Ultimate's legs were smashed to pieces.

"Doc! We're ready!" Luna called out to the teacher that was levitating in the air thanks to Oz. Doc snapped his fingers as a huge iron ball came rolling out of the rubble of the building. It split apart like it was opening its mouth and devoured Ultimate. The four students breathed out carefully, Luna had her hands on her hips waiting to see if Ultimate was able to escape. The orb was quiet and the police swiftly took it into custody. Once out of Doc's range the orb once again returned to its original state.

"Why do I feel like that was entirely too easy?" Luna looked at Doc, a little disappointed that he didn't put up more of a fight. He was one of the top most wanted after all.

"He couldn't counter all of the attacks. Plain and simple, we got the jump on him and he had no idea how to handle it. They won't all be that easy, but the four of you on a team makes taking down just about any villain ten times easier." Oz shrugged, ready to get back to the agency so that he and Doc could process the paperwork.

"If you guys are feeling dissatisfied, then why not spar against each other for a while?" The suggestion was a good one, but Luna declined. The other three decided that they would all fight against each other battle royal style, that a training session like that would help them out if they were ever outnumbered in a fight. Luna sat in the lobby area, flexing her fingers back and forth. Lost in thought.

"What are you thinking about?" Oz nudged her shoulder as he rested his forearms on the top of the couch, she looked at him carefully.

"I'm thinking about how different the battle in Japan would have gone if you guys were there. I mean, we literally just took down Ultimate in maybe twenty minutes. That's amazing." Luna shook her head, still blown away by the feat that they had managed.

"Luna, you yourself told me that the villains in Japan are completely different from the villains here. For all you know, a guy like Ultimate could have been a small fry in Japan." Oz sighed and rounded the couch so that he could sit next to her.

"That's not what I mean, the balance between our quirks. The compatibility. That's what I'm talking about. Yeah, it probably still would have been hard as hell to take them down, but if you guys were there and we were all fighting together…I honestly think the battle would have ended a lot different than it did."

"Hmm? Is this your way of saying you want us to come back to Japan with you?" He gave her a Cheshire grin and she turned to look at him, a smirk of her own pulling at her lips.

"No, there is no way that you guys would be able to do anything unless you were invited by the government. That's the only reason dad hasn't had to get a Japanese license yet. Luckily for me, when I got there, they knew that I was already licensed in America and went ahead and gave me my Japanese license so that I could start working with dad immediately since the immunity only extended to him." Oz looked away, thinking about that.

"Yeah, I guess you're right; but still, if we were invited would you want us to come fight with you?" It was a serious question and Luna honestly had to think about it. Knowing what she did about the League, would she honestly want to risk her friends' lives? In Japan they didn't have a choice, it was all hands on deck; but if everyone here was invited, they had the option of turning it down. Luna smiled to herself.

"Honestly, I wouldn't want you guys involved in it at all. But at the end of the day it isn't my choice; if you guys were invited and decided you wanted to come help there is nothing I could say to change your minds either way. Plan and simple, you guys hold the choice. Not me. I would just have to grin and bare it with whatever decision you guys made."

"You're damn right!" He rubbed the top of her head and pulled her towards him, her head resting on his shoulder as he rested his head on top of hers. They sat there for a moment, in complete silence. The thoughts of what could become of all of them should they ever go up against Shigaraki and the rest haunted the edges of her mind. She hoped that they would never have to experience that.

"Well, don't you two look cozy." Salem teased as he and the girls stepped out from the sparring field. Eve yanked Luna's arm, pulling her away from Oz as she narrowed her eyes on him.

"Keep your wandering hands off my Luna." Eve hugged her tightly and Luna couldn't stifle the laugh that came out.

"You're Luna? If she is anyone's, she is mine! I've known her the longest, so by seniority I win!" Oz grabbed Luna's arm to pull her away from Eve.

"Huh? How does that work? I say we let Luna decide who she wants to belong to!" Eve squeezed her harder and Luna looked at Rue and Salem for help, but the looks on their faces said that she was one her own.

"You didn't even like her at first, remember that?"

"Yes and it is entirely possible for a perfect human being like myself to be wrong, however I am not wrong about this." Eve couldn't stop her own laugh from coming out, even she couldn't keep a serious face with how ridiculous the situation was.

"Please let me go." Luna was laughing so hard that it was starting to hurt. It was never a dull moment here and she definitely felt at ease with all the ridiculous banter that was constantly going around. After that they all waited for Doc to get done doing whatever it was that he was doing and then they left; the day ending on a high note. Luna could definitely tell that she was getting stronger, both in skill and teamwork; it just further confirmed that this was the best decision for her to make. The only question after that would be if she was strong enough to take on Dabi and win.

~

The weeks after that were filled with rescue work and patrols, Doc had decided to finally put Eve and Luna together. He wanted to see the true level of teamwork between the two. They did everything he threw at them with ease, almost like it was a breeze for them; if he didn't see the obvious shift in their energy he would have thought he was going too easy on them, but they were exhausted.

"Why do I feel like he's punishing us?" Eve sighed as she laid her head on the back of the couch.

"Because he is," Luna groaned, her body screaming at her just to take a minute to sit down and relax, "I forgot how fast paced everything was here. Compared to that it makes Japan feel like a snail."

Luna plopped her head on the coffee table and groaned.

"What is this? I know you two aren't getting lazy on me!" Doc clapped his hands loudly as he made it to where to two where.

"Please…no more." Eve whimpered.

"Doc, I'm pretty sure I speak for the both of us when I say that I don't think we can move another muscle." Luna pouted.

"And yet, you're still talking." The two girls sobbed at that.

"You're a monster." Luna was on the verge of a tantrum. Hell, if it got her more time to relax she would do anything at this point.

"I'm messing with you guys. I came here to get you two, we have the baths ready." Eve let out the loudest groan Luna had ever heard.

"I don't wanna!" Luna smiled and then felt herself being lifted up.

"You two are hopeless." Oz carried Luna bridal style as Doc did the same thing with Eve. When they got into the baths the men promptly left so that the girls could undress and relax in peace. Luna peeled her clothes off and discarded them in a pile on the floor. She wrapped a towel around her body and then turned to wait for Eve. She watched Eve make her way out of the layers to reveal many more scars that she kept hidden. Luna averted her eyes, not wanting to stare and make Eve uncomfortable. The two girls then walked into the community bath and soaked until the aches in their bodies were gone.

"This feels so good, I don't want to get out." Luna sighed, she was in heaven.

"Luna, can I ask you something?" Eve treaded the water as she made her way to sit next to Luna.

"Go for it." Luna had her head leaned back and her eyes closed.

"You said that before you almost died you were already starting to come to terms with your scars. How did you do that? I mean, I'd rather not have a near death experience to make me stop being self conscious about mine, but I would like to know what steps I can take to start moving in the right direction." Luna popped one eye open to look at her, the vulnerability on her face something that Luna hardly got to see. She closed it again and sighed.

"I had Keigo. At first every time he saw the scar I could see the anger on his face, but when he saw the way I acted towards it…the repulsion I had…he stopped letting it get to him. The fact that my body was scared was never what he was angry about, it was what I went through to get the scar and the person who gave it to me. When he stopped acknowledging it as something hateful, I started to be less embarrassed by it. I started wearing my regular clothes again, trying to get past being self conscious. I'm sure had I not almost died it would have taken a bit longer than it actually did, but one way or another I would have worked past it," Luna shifted, submerging her body further into the water, "I guess the most important thing is…if you show that they don't bother you, even if that is still a lie, showing that you are okay with them being seen will stop people from looking at you like a broken doll. Well, most people. There is a guy back in Japan, a real hot head, who still beats himself up over the scar on my back. He had no control over the situation and it is in no way his fault, but he was there and was powerless to stop it from happening. For him, seeing it is a form of seeing his own failure."

Eve gazed at the girl who seemed wise beyond her age, then looked down at her body, lightly brushing her fingers over the scars on her chest, torso and legs. Was it really possible for her to be able to live freely with these scars? She had always tried to look for a quirk that could get rid of them for her, but if she learned how to live with them she wouldn't have to take the risk of adding another quirk to her collection and possibly rendering herself a vegetable in the process. Luna stood up, ready to get out of the bath and Eve took the time to look over her scars. She did have a lot, so if Luna could do it she thought that she could do it. Time heals all wounds right? Luna wadded her way through the water and to the stairs leading out of the tub.

"Don't stay in too much longer, I wouldn't want you to pass out." She wrapped the towel around her body and made her way to the locker that her regular clothes were in. Either Doc or Oz must have come in while they were bathing because their hero costumes were gone now. Eve walked in shortly after her and the girls got dressed and met their caretakers out in the lobby.

"Finally, we thought you guys passed out." Oz joked and Luna punched him in the arms playfully.

"Not a chance. So what is on the agenda now?" Eve looked at Doc who looked between the two girls.

"Nothing, you two are free for the next week. You deserve a break, go have some fun, okay?" He patted the two girls on the head and they grinned at each other. The next couple days were filled with nothing but easy going fun. Luna and Eve spent most of the time together, if for nothing else than to keep Luna's mind off of Keigo. She had confided in Eve about how she wanted to contact him, to let him know that she was alright because as far as she knew he was still in the dark about where she was. Eve was doing her best keeping the girl grounded.

"So what's the story with you and Oz?" Eve bit into the sub she had in front of her and Luna raised an eyebrow.

"What do you mean?" She took a sip of her drink as she watched Eve take another bite.

"I just mean that you two are childhood friends and are so close. So has anything happened between you? I've always heard that childhood friends either end up together or at least have tried to be together as more than friends." She put her sandwich down and watched the different emotions that crossed over her features.

"Nothing has ever happened between us," Luna leaned back and thought about their past together, "but I would be lying if I said I didn't have feelings for him at one point in time. Oz was always there for me, right by my side with every step I took; he never looked at anyone but me, as if he were my own personal angel. I grew to love him as more than a friend, but it was clear that he only ever saw me as his cute best friend. Like a little sister. So I learned how to get past those feelings and the love I felt for him as a potential lover turned into a stronger love for him as a brother. Oz was my first love in a lot of aspects and I always thought that eventually we would just decide to get married even if we never had romantic feelings for each other. That was until I met Keigo. He turned my whole world on its axis. I fought so hard against my feelings for him, lying to myself about what they really were because I had this fear that it would be a repeat like what happened with Oz…but I was wrong."

Luna played with the napkin on the table, it was so easy to open up to Eve. She never pressured Luna and allowed her to take however long she needed to in order to work her way into opening up. One by one it was like she was bulldozing through all the guards she had up, ones that she never even let down around Keigo. Maybe being able to open up to Eve like this would actually benefit her with opening up fully to Keigo as well. Would he understand her the way that Eve did? It was worth a shot; better to know than always wonder. Eve thought about how Oz was with Luna, it was different than how it was with her or Rue; she had also never seen Oz really be with another girl, like a legitimate relationship. Did Oz really never have romantic feelings for Luna? She perished the thought, it wasn't impossible for one childhood friend to not see the other in a romantic kind of light.

"So what if some hunk comes up to you now and wants to take you to dinner or something?" Eve wiggled her eyebrows and Luna chuckled lightly.

"I would say that I'm in a relationship. At least I hope I still am. Hopefully my disappearance didn't make Keigo wash his hands of me; I'd like to be able to go back to Japan, to him, ya know?" Eve nodded at that and thought about what it would be like to have a love like Luna did. Someone that loved all of her imperfections as much as her perfections.

"What about you?" The question startled Eve and she looked a little taken aback.

"What about me?"

"Do you have a childhood friend that you like? Or even just someone in general that you like?" Luna placed her elbows on the table and laced her fingers together then rested her head on them; she studied Eve's transitions and could almost see the memories flashing before her.

"No, I never really had any childhood friends. After my parents died, I went to live with my uncle and I lived a very…sheltered life with him," something dark clouded her eyes before she continued, "and I can't say that there is anyone who had piqued my interest. At school or otherwise…but then again I don't think I've really opened myself up to the possibility of being with someone because if I can't stand the way I look because of all my scars then how will any guy want to be with me?"

Luna's eyebrows pulled together then reached out and grabbed Eve's hand, giving it a gentle squeeze.

"It is my life's mission to help you come to terms with your scars. I may not be able to completely cure you, but I can at least help get you to a point where you aren't as ashamed of them," Luna ran her thumbs over one of the scars of Eve's hand, "once you are there the rest is up to you and how you go about getting there will be your path to choose; I just hope you opt out of the near death experience, I do not recommend it."

Eve laughed at that and it made Luna smile, this girl could get to where she needed to be. She just needed a little help finding the path and Luna was more than willing to be the one to do that. The next couple days after that were full of sparring and more training, Doc had told the girls that they would be going on a very important mission that Friday. Who would have thought that it would be a mission that would test the strength and determination of Luna and Eve's friendship?
