A Normal Day of Team KSYS

VRMMORPG: Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game. Invented in the year 2022, VRMMORPG took the gaming world by storm as something that could truly transport a player to another world.

Team KSYS' Dorm

The room was fairly tidy; there was laundry scattered on beds but it was clear that all four of the residents had claimed a space of the dorm as their own. The beds, walls, and drawers themselves were left almost the same as they were first found however evidence shows that three of them had just woken up. The TV was on a weather forecast channel but the couch in front of it was unoccupied.

The sun's light illuminated the room through the open windows. Outside, you could see students were already beginning to walk around, their numbers slowly increasing as the morning took its full form. There were few clouds in the sky and while there was wind, it was gentle in its presence. The current weather was identical to yesterdays' and according to the weather forecast, it will be the same tomorrow.

In the bedrooms, the peaceful silence accompanied the sound of someone's gentle snoring. In the kitchen, the sound of a boiling kettle was heard as two teenagers made tea for themselves.

"Moon Demon Company huh..."

Shinoa glanced at Sinon, sipping her hot tea.

"Sounds like something from a manga to be honest." The sniper stated bluntly.

"Really?" The purple-haired girl asked, "That name is highly respected from I come from."

"Is that so. Are all the elites as young as you?" The sniper asked out of curiosity.

"Nope. Most are much older actually," The young soldier replied before gesturing her hand towards herself, grinning, "Hehe, you see, my team is full of talented prodigies such as myself."

"Right." The gamer said with the roll of an eye.

The flush of a toilet was heard and the door to the bathroom opened shortly after. Still wearing his blue pajamas, Yu entered the kitchen and casually thanked the girls for the tea. They conversed as usual; they talked about class, shared small interesting details about their worlds and expressed their honest opinions about the world of Remnant. Despite their backgrounds almost being polar opposites, they had clearly grown comfortable with each other as most people do when they live together.

After a while, the leader of the team finally woke up.

"Morning everyone." Kirito yawned as he dragged his body into the kitchen.

"He woke up, it's a miracle," The female soldier joked.

Their leader chuckled, "Well Ozpin did tell us to rest."

"Oh yeah, we don't have to go to class for a while do we?" Yuichiro remembered.

"Ever since last night, everyone's feeling tense at the moment, which Ozpin clearly noticed. What a considerate guy," Shinoa complimented, "He even said we could stay at other dorms if we want to."

"Speaking of which...How's Mato and the others?" The sniper asked with concern reffering to Jack's sudden ambush that occured last night.

The male gamer stared at the floor, "Not good. I don't think they'll be up any time soon."

"Poor girls," The female gamer said solemnly, "Out of all of us, they're probably one of most scared."

"Not to mention they're one of the youngest among all of us," The purple-haired pointed out, "I heard they're just middle school girls from where they come from."

"I kinda feel bad for relying on their strength so much." The other cursed gear user admitted.

"Well... their twins are overpowered, to be fair." Shinoa reasoned.

The subject was dropped from there.

It was calm yet awfully tense when Yu walked around the school. Somehow, news of last night's ambush had spread around the school in the form of rumours. Yu could practically feel all the stares crawling on his back as he walked past students. He didn't really care though.

He focused on the fresh air and the clean sky. The gentle wind blew against him as he walked. While a lot of people would describe it as normal, seeing this kind of environment was extraordinary for Yu. It baffled Yu that he never stopped to admire this world. So many hectic things had been happening that he never once thought about it, not to mention the concept of there being other dimensions besides his own was already a bizarre pill to swallow.

It was a shame though. He would've enjoyed this scenery much more if it weren't for what happened last night.

He looked around more. Everything was different here. The atmosphere, the culture, even the overall tone. Despite there being dangerous creatures known as Grimm and terrorist groups like the White Fang, the people here were a lot happier compared to the people back in his world, especially with the war between humans and vampires still going on.

He thought about the upcoming Vital festival which everyone here seemed to be really excited for. If he remembered correctly, it was some sort of gathering in order to celebrate the peace that was established between kingdoms which sounded really nice to Yu.

"Kimizuki. Yoichi. Mitsuba. Shinoa. Our world will be like this one day." He declared with confidence.

"OOOOHHH!"

Raising him out of his reverie, Yu felt the surrounding temperature increase.

He turned his head and recognised the man who in turn, recognised Yu.

Unlike most otherworlders, there were those like Neptune who took this entire different-dimension-situation with stride. The man who now stood in front of Yu was one of those people: Natsu Dragneel.

"I heard that...you're a soldier that uses demonic weapons." The flame wizard asked with a serious expression, still wearing his signature white scarf.

"Yeah." Yu replied calmly. He didn't know where this was going.

"That's...SO COOL!" The fire mage's expression transformed completely as comical stars appeared in his eyes.

Says the wizard from a fantasy world, Yu thought to himself.

"How about we have a match?" The challenger said, quite literally getting fired up as he punched his flaming gauntlets together, "Show me what you got?"

The soldier grinned, "Sure!"

Now that he thought about it, despite being comrades, the vampire slayer never got the time to get to know the dragon slayer.

Yu grabbed his sheath. He could practically feel his demon, Asuramaru, facepalming right now.

"Fire Dragon's-"

"STOOOOOOOP!"

The fight was ended before it had even begun as a small little girl with white hair stood between them. She turned to face Natsu with an annoyed look, "How many times do I have to tell you; no fighting on school grounds unless you have permission to do so during class."

"But we don't have classes today." Natsu complained.

It was Illya, the leader of Natsu's team. She seemed so stressed and worried that she didn't notice Professor Oobleck approaching her from behind.

"Is everything alright here?"

"AAHH!" Illya screamed before quickly apologising with a bow, clearly very embarrassed.

It was then that Yu realised that if Illya didn't interfere, Oobleck would've.

"You seem restless, Illya. Ozpin has given you and your friends a temporary break from all classes correct? You should use it wisely." The professor advised after giving Natsu a quick warning.

"Yeah, I'll make sure of it. Thank you."

Behind his glasses, Oobleck gave Illya a weird look, probably wondering why a child as young as Illya was even doing here in the first place. However, he said nothing and bid farewell. He must really trust Ozpin, Yu thought.

After the professor left, Illya faced her teammate again, "See Natsu? Please think about your surroundings. There are students around. What if someone gets hurt like last time!"

"I'm sorry," her teammate apologised, looking down at the ground.

"At least you know now. Now go back to your room!"

"Hai..."

Last time? The solider just watched, completely awed by the sight of a little girl scolding a grown-up man.

Yu waved, "Catch you another time then?"

The dragon slayer grinned, "You bet." He gave a thumbs-up before leaving.

Illya spun around and glared at the vampire slayer, which honestly looked adorable instead of intimidating, "Please don't encourage him!"

Yu laughed nervously as he raised his hands defensively, "Sorry, I'll be careful next time."

The little girl calmed down after that.

He couldn't help but think about how strange this situation was. He had heard from Kirito that Illya was a real-life 'magical girl' although Yu had no idea what that was. He may have heard Shinoa talk about it once but he couldn't remember.

Once again, he felt people staring at them like they were some sort of exotic animal. They too were probably wondering what a 11-year-old child was doing, enrolling as a student at Beacon. But since she was part of "A Beacon of Insemblances", which was the name given to all the otherworlders who had mysteriously appeared here, no one seemed to question it.

The soilder offered the magical girl his hand, "Nice to meet you by the way. I'm Yuichiro Hyakuya."

At first the girl was a bit confused. Her face suddenly turned red from embarrassment as she realised that this was their first meeting, "Where are my manners? I'm Illyasviel von Einzbern but people just call me Illya."

The girl bowed apologetically which Yu casually forgave. The gossiping whispers amoung the surrounding students increased drastically but Yu ignored them.

"Hey, lets move somewhere else."

"Okay, sure." The girl herself didn't seem to be aware of the homogenous gossip that was taking place around them.

-o-o-

"So you're a leader huh? How has that been going for you?"

They had settled on a metal bench not far from the academy. Class for most students had already started by now so there weren't many people around.

The small girl took in a deep breath, "Very, very stressful. Natsu and Naruto are uncontrollable. Takane is nice but she becomes a bit... mischievous when she turns into Ene. But they are still wonderful people, of course." she reminded herself.

"Hmm, they do seem like a handful," Yu admitted, "I'm impressed you can still handle them?"

Illya laughed nervously, "Hehe, I wouldn't exactly call it 'handling'."

She sighed as her mind seemed to be going through certain memories of her team. She didn't seem like she wanted to talk about it so Yu changed the subject.

"So how have you been coping lately?"

"Huh?"

"You know, this whole situation of us being adducted and being forced to live in another world. How have you been coping with it?"

The magical girl looked up at the clear blue sky, "I would be lying if I said I wasn't scared. Everything here feels so foreign to me and I really miss my friends."

"But I heard that you and your team can go home whenever you want now, is that true?." Yu asked with mild curiosity.

"Yes, Jason did offer us an early trip home," Illya confirmed as she remembered the memory, "We talked about it as a team. In the end, the vote was unanimous. I still remember Natsu's firm words; there's no way I'm leaving my comrades behind!" Illya quoted the dragon slayer's words while doing a Natsu impression.

Yu smiled. Not only did he relate to those words, he highly respected them. "Wow... thanks for staying to help."

"No, I need to thank you and everyone else," Illya deflected, "If it weren't for the otherworlders and Jason. I would've been so lost, so I feel very blessed having a lot of friends to rely on."

Jason. That name had become quite controversial lately but Yu decided to leave it.

It was then, Yu noticed something move in Illya's hair. The girl held her hair as if trying to keep something from coming out.

"No, you can't come out here, someone might see you." Illya said to seemingly no one.

Yu blinked confusingly which Illya noticed.

"Sorry," the white-haired girl apologized with an embarrassed look, she opened her hair a bit so Yu could see the head of a magical wand which...waved at him.

Yu waved back, not knowing what he was waving at.

The magical wand dived back into Illya's hair before the girl explained, "This is Ruby. She's a talking magical wand. It's because of her that I can transform."

The girl briefly explained Ruby's role and how the talking magical wand was what allowed Illya to transform in the first place. Now that Yu thought about it, Shinoa did mention something about Magical Girls always having a magic wand or some sort of mystical friend to guide them.

"Anyways. As I was saying before," Illya continued, she now expressed a look of amazement, "this whole experience has been so surreal and mostly in a good way. I've met many wonderful people and seen so many things I've never even dreamed of seeing. I know it's funny coming from me, but this world is a true fantasy world as if it was plucked straight from a manga."

Yu hummed in agreement. While he couldn't say that his world was any less strange than this one, the concept of there being other universes stilled baffled him to no end.

"How about you? What do you think?"

Yu thought about this question, "hmm...pretty much the same as you but..."

"But what?"

"Well you see, there's currently an ongoing war from where I come from."

Illya almost gasped as if just realising that Yu's signature outfit did look like the uniform of a soldier, "Really? Aren't you worried?"

"Not as much as I thought I would be," Yu answered honestly, "I've been told that time moves differently here. Apparently, by the time I get back, only a few hours would've passed in my world which, again, is a very strange concept to take in."

"Oh."

"That doesn't mean there aren't nights where I feel restless but... you know..."

"Yeah."

"By the way," Yu quickly changed the subject and took this opportunity to ask one of the many questions that had sparked his curiosity, "I heard you met your evil twin. What's that like?"

Illya let out a deep tired breath, "Weird."

Yu observed the little girl's expression. It was clear to him that Illya's feelings on the matter was very mixed. Along with there being different universes, there were also something called parallel worlds. Worlds that were different yet contained a different version of the same person. Illya and Illyasviel would be a good example; they both look exactly the same but come from two different worlds. As of now, everyone referred to the evil twin as "Illyasviel" and then the good twin as just 'Illya' even though Illya's actual name is, in fact, Illyasviel.

The reason why this topic had caught Yu's curiosity was that not only did the concept intrigue him, he had actually met the other Illyasviel and practically couldn't tell the difference in terms of appearance.

"I wouldn't exactly say 'evil'." Illya said, trying to find the right words to say.

Yu raised an eyebrow, "Really? They kidnapped you and had the other Illyasviel impersonate you during the Cargo Ship incident. Didn't she also try to kill you?"

"Yeah but, I don't know, it's hard to explain. I'm not so sure myself."

The conversation sparked more questions from Yu, "How did you escape their hideout by the way?"

"A huntsman named Qrow saved me."

Qrow? Yu thought to himself. That name sounds familiar. I wonder why?

For a moment, the soldier had forgotten that he was talking to a kid. No matter how brave, being kidnapped and locked up in the enemy's hideout can be negatively impactful, "Must've been a traumatising experience huh?"

To Yu's surprise, Illya shook her head, "Not as much as I thought it would be. I actually escaped completely unharmed."

"Huh? They didn't hurt you?" Yu thought that at least someone like Ferid would take the chance to have a snack.

"No...because my parallel other self didn't let them."

(FLASHBACK)

Inside the giant mothership, in order to impersonate "Illya", Illyasviel was ordered to 'interrogate' her in order to get a better understanding of her personality. While the twins were identical in looks, their personalities were almost polar opposites. Although the interrogation didn't seem to be going anywhere.

"ARGH! YOU'RE SO ANNOYING! I CAN'T BELIEVE I HAVE TO IMPERSONATE A NAIVE BRAT!"

Ruby, the magical wand, was chained to the ceiling, away from Illya who was tied to her chair. Illya looked down and shyly said, "Sorry."

"Don't apologise with my voice," Illyasviel scolded, "It makes me want to vomit!"

"Sorry."

"WHAT DID I JUST SAY!?"

"Sorry!"

The door to the room opened and Ferid entered, looking rather hungry for blood, "You two seem to be getting along well."

Illyasviel's head snapped towards Feird, glaring, "Stay out of this, you freak!"

Ferid playfully waved his hand defensively, "I wasn't planning to. Just checking on how things were going, that's all."

With Berserker over Illyasviel's shoulder, Ferid wasn't going to start a fight just because of what his lunch was going to be. After a few death threats from Illyasviel, Ferid finally left, leaving the two identical kids alone.

"T-th..thank you."

"SHUT UP!"

"Sorry!"

"STOP APOLOGISING!"

(FLASHBACK ENDS)

Illya cried out in frustration, "AAAHHH! IT'S SO CONFUSING! I'm sure she's a good person deep inside but when she tried to kill me, it really did feel like she wanted me dead. I'm not sure what to think anymore."

Yu observed the child with concern. In his opinion, a child as young as her shouldn't be thinking about things like this, "I think you should take Professor Oobleck's advice and get some rest."

Illya smiled weakly, the small bags under her eyes were really visible now, "Yeah... I think I will."

With that, the two parted ways. Now that Yu had met her personally, he knew: despite how mature Illya was, she was still a child.

Gripping his sword confidently, Yu was now determined as he thought to himself, "I'm going to protect my family. All of them. No matter what!"

The balcony of the dorms was often a peaceful place to stay for the otherworlders. It gave them a perfect view of not only the school but the futuristic city in the background. While to the inhabitants of this world, the view was nothing short of normal, but of course, that was not the case for the couple who were currently looking at it. To them, the noise of students going to class was nothing but a faint sound in the distance. Nearby, a tree inhabited by birds singing softly accompanied the peaceful mood really well.

To be blunt, it was good place for brooding as well.

Kirito and Asuna sat there, holding hands.

"It's been a while since we sat together like this." Asuna commented.

"Yeah."

It would be an understatement to say that things had been hectic, so relaxful moments like this were often rare.

"Must be hard... leading a group in circumstances like this."

Kirito smiled, "It is...But luckily I'm not the only one leading, otherwise, I wouldn't have made it this far."

"True. We really are lucky huh, not having to face this alone."

A comfortable silence fell upon the couple. Asuna leaned her head on Kirito's shoulder and closed her eyes with a smile. They could've stayed like this forever if they wanted to. Time moved differently in other worlds. In their world, not much time had passed so when Asuna was pulled from her world and dropped here, she didn't feel separated from Kirito for that long. But Kirito, on the other hand, had gone through so much more. From Kirito's view, he had been separated from Asuna for too long and Asuna knew this so now that she was here, she tried to comfort Kirito as much as possible by being there for him.

After a moment, the couple fell asleep under each other's embrace.

Sinon walked in, looking for Kirito. She practically froze like a deer in headlights when she saw the sleeping couple. The sniper couldn't help but smile at the sight. Then, trying really hard not to disturb them, the female gamer left a letter that said "to Kirito, from Jason" on Kirito's lap and carefully tiptoed out.

Each book in the library was good enough to leave stars in Yuuki's eyes, and they were a lot of books. Books of all variety: fairy tales, 'How to' books, books on how dust worked, and even the history books, which most students usually never touched, filled Yuuki's mind with excitement. The history of this world was very different from her world after all.

By now the pair was so deep into the shelves that they could no longer see the walls of the library anymore.

Also interested in a few books, Levi scanned the bookshelf that was nearby Yuuki's.

"Oooh! Levi look at this!"

Yuuki showed Levi a book that was simply titled "The Maidens". The book told a fairy tale about four Maidens, each named after a season (Spring Maiden, Summer Maiden, Ect). Each maiden hosted vast amounts of magic power that had existed in Remnant for thousands of years. It is said that when a maiden dies, their powers are passed down to the last person they were thinking about. While some say it exists, most people see it as nothing but a myth.

"Oooooh." Yuuki repeated multiple times as she turned the pages.

"Huh. So even fantasy worlds have fairy tails." Levi commented.

The pair quickly moved on. Even with the abundance in variety, none of the books really stuck to Levi. Most of the time, he would only read the blurb or a few pages before putting it back on the shelf. Yuuki, on the other hand, took her time with each book. She thought about borrowing them but she was afraid that she might never get the chance to return them later. The pair had spent their entire day here, casually learning more about the world they were stuck in.

Levi went a little bit ahead, deeper down the library aisle of books while Yuuki found yet another book that interested her.

"Psst."

Levi looked around but saw no one besides Yuuki and a few strangers who were engrossed in their own book.

"Psst."

The sound was closer this time. Close enough for Levi to tell that it was a girl's voice.

"Psst. Over here."

By the third time, Levi managed to pinpoint where exactly the voice was coming from. He faced the bookshelf and removed four thick books that were at face-height, revealing Shinoa's grinning face on the other side of the bookshelf.

"Thought I heard a familiar pair of voices." Shinoa greeted.

"Shinoa Hiiragi." This was actually Levi's first time meeting said person by themselves. Now that he thought about it, there were a lot of people amoung the otherworlders he hadn't gotten to know.

"That's me. What, are you a fan?" The girl teased.

Levi's expression remained neutrally cold, "Is there something you want to say?"

"Hang on, let me come over there."

Shinoa walked to the end of the bookshelf and entered the aisle that Levi was in. Levi waited for what Shinoa wanted to say but instead, the girl said nothing as she kept walking closer and closer towards him until they were way too close together, completly invading Levi's personal space. Shinoa just smiled as she looked at the titan slayer. Levi raised an eyebrow, Shinoa was known as a playful person so he assumed she was just flirting with him and politely pushed her away, "What the hell are you doing?"

"Nothing." The demon weapon user said innocently. Unknowing to Levi, Shinoa was actually comparing their heights and to her disapointment, despite them both being midgets, Levi was still taller than her by at least 10 cm.

"Tch." Shinoa accidentally let out saltly.

"You got a problem with me?"

"Oh hey Shinoa!" Yuuki waved as soon as she noticed Shinoa's presence.

"Hi there!" Shinoa waved back.

"SSSSSSSSHHHHHHH!" The librarian shushed from a distance.

Both girls covered their mouths with their hands for a moment before giggling at each other. After that, the three decided to sit at one of the library tables. Yuuki and Shinoa got along well with their girl talk while Levi remained silent most of the time. At first, Levi couldn't believe that someone as playful and sometimes immature like Shinoa was a solider fighting a war back in her world. But after seeing her in action, he respected her a bit more.

He had heard from Asuna that in Shinoa's world, humanity is under threat by vampires who only treat humans as living food hence resulting in a war where humans fight to avoid being food. In a way, he kinda sympathised with the fellow solider.

"You're not usually by yourself, Shinoa," Yuuki noticed, "What's your team doing at the moment?"

"Hmm... Yu went out for a walk, Kirito and Asuna are having a mini honeymoon and Sinon-"

"Yes?" The sniper appeared from one of the nearby bookshelves.

"Is right here." Shinoa finished with a smile.

"You guys are awfully carefree," Sinon commented nonchalantly, "considering what happened last night."

"I could say the same for you." Levi countered.

"I only look calm." The sniper explained, "This place is usually so relaxing to be in. Now I can't help but-"

"No use worrying about it now." The man of the group advised, "it'll only bring unnecessary stress."

"Yeah...I guess you're right."

The gamer looked around. The peaceful atmostphere that the library gave off: with the calming silence that filled the area, every turn of a page or moving chair was heard by the whole library which seemed to make it all the better. This atmosphere was almost mocking Sinon considering the context of their situation. The chances of returning home seemed more smaller than before. It was like finding out that a nightmare you were going through was merely a prologue.

"Hey, since there's four of us, lets play a board game." Yuuki suggested, trying to lighten up the mood.

"Good idea." Sinon agreed.

"I'm in," Shinoa happily accepted, "although I doubt Little Levi here would-"

"I'll play."

Shinoa and Sinon stared at him, baffled. Levi was not the type to play games.

"Yay!" Yuuki cheered as softly as she could to avoid being told off, "I know just the game to play."

As Yuuki and Levi set the board game, Sinon stared at Shinoa as she remembered, "Did she just call him...Little Levi?"

The rest of their time was spent playing a variety of board games that were present although they also spent a lot of time learning the rules since they didn't recognise any of the games or how to play them. While the girls had fun, Levi didn't seem that invested in it. Despite being a player, Levi felt more like a spectator.

"Did you just take one of my coins?" Sinon accused.

Shinoa playfully acted innocent, "Whaaaat!? I would never do such thing."

"Shinoa...You know I'm a sniper, I basically have eagle eyes."

The two girls then went into their own little fight of banter casuing Yuuki to chuckle. Suddenly, Levi asked:

"How are they?"

Yuuki's face fell a bit. This morning she had paid Mato and her friends a friendly visit, "They said...they wanted to be left alone for a while."

"...I see."

It was late at night and the broken moon floated brightly in the sky. The sounds of crickets and Kirito's footsteps filled the otherwise dead silent night. He walked silently thought the dark alley way, looking for a certain person. By this hour, most people of this area was fast asleep.

Eventually, Kirito heard footsteps that weren't his and he stopped.

Appearing from the shadows, a figure entered into Kirito's sight. He wore a blue and white coat with a hood that covered his whole face except his mouth.

It was Jason: a Dimensional Traveller.

For a moment, it was silent as they both stared at each other. Even the crickets went quiet when these two met under the cover of the dark alley.

Then, before things got tense and uncomfortable, the dimension traveller showed a small tired smile, "Yo."

Slightly concerned with his fatigue state, Kirito asked, "Are you okay?"

"Yeah. I'm alright, don't worry, I'm just...tired...really tired."

Despite only being able to see his mouth, Kirito could already tell just by looking.

"Umm, how is..." The traveller stumbled with his words, "how are the girls doing?"

"Physically, their perfectly fine. Combine their regenrative abilities with your healing, the girls haven't suffered any fatal injuries," Kirito calmly explained, "mentally, however...I can't say for sure."

The dimensional being looked down, filled with deep thought.

"If you're blaming yourself for what happened, don't." Kirito advised, "We all did the best we could."

"...Yeah...I guess you're right."

Quickly seeing that the topic was going nowhere, Kirito changed the subject, "Is there a reason why you wanted to meet in private?"

Jason titled his head in genuine confusion, "Hmm? Private? Did I say that in my letter? I can't remember."

"Well if that's the case, if you wanted to talk to me, you could've just paid our dorm a visit." Kirito said nonchantly.

"Oh yeah, I had to fix another crack that was appearing in one of the pocket dimension beneath Remnant. To save time, I quickly left a letter so we could meet as soon as possible afterwards."

"These 'cracks' that appear...I remember you breifly mentioning that they occur because there's too many otherworlders in on place."

"Correct. It's quite compliacted to explain. Having so many out-of-world beings clashing is causing damage to the present world. The Pocket dimentions beneath worlds are like pillars. They are what keep it from falling apart. They are often used by travellers to check how 'healthy' a world is. That is mostly why it's forbidden to put people from other universes into another."

Kirito stared blankly. He had never heard someone explain a bizarre concept in such a casual manner.

"So why did we have to meet here?" The virtual gamer asked.

"I just got back with an idea about your skills and thought the sooner you have this new skill, the better. Portals are quite complex to make. Not easy to make a portal that doesn't make noise. I was a bit careless and some people actually saw me when I went to the pocket dimensions. So this dark alley is often where I make portals since not many people roam these areas,"

"A new skill?"

"Don't worry, I won't take too much of your time."

A few moments later.

Kirito stared at his avatar with amazement. His avatar had become a hybrid between his GGO avatar and his ALO avatar with his Excalibur in hand and his lightsaber in the other, "Whoa...how did you-"

"I have my ways," Jason replied stressfully as if needed to be somewhere quickly, "while it can be useful, you may have to change how you fight and adjust to it hence I thought the sooner you get it, the better. Anyways I've got to go and give stuff to the others, sorry for keeping you up late."

He turned around and was about to leave when Kirito:

"Hey Jason? Before you go, I have something that's been on my mind lately."

He stopped, "Yes?"

"I know you're busy but.. I think its safe to say that these previous bizzare chain of events have made us all a bit ignorant towards you. I'm sure you've noticed..." Kirito said with a serious expression, "So I would like to talk on behalf of everyone and get straight to the point..."

Unknowing to Kirito, the traveller tensed a bit, "Okay..."

Kirito took in deep breath...and bowed his head, "THANK YOU!"

Completly flabbergasted, Jason blinked a few times out of genuine shock as if he was expecting Kirito to say something else, "...Huh?"

"We...when we were stranded here on Remnant, you were there to guide us," Kirito futhur explained, "we truly would've been lost without you. On behalf of everyone, THANK YOU!"

Jason was silent and displayed no reaction.

"I know this is long overdue. I'm sure everyone feels the same as I do."

Not knowing what to do, Jason awkwardly bowed back, "Y-yeah. Umm, ah, yeah no worries I...I'm just doing my job as a traveller."

"I just wanted to let you know that we appriciate what you're doing."

"I'm...glad to help. Well umm, you guys also fought hard so ah don't forget to give yourself some credit okay?"

Kirito chuckled, "Sure."

As Jason left, Kirito thought about Jason's abilities. If Kirito wasn't mistaken, Jason could practically make anything out of an infinite number of micro cubes such spaceships, cannons, guns and the weapons for some of the otherworlders such as Natsu's gauntlets and Naruto's sandals. Not to mention, his body was made out of those cubes meaning he could self regenerate using more cubes practically making him unkillable. It was scary to think that Jack was just as powerful.

Whoever, or whatever, these dimensional travellers were, to say that they were overpowered would be an understatement.

Not wanting to stress himself even more, Kirito shook his head and returned to the dorms with his new skill.

(FLASHBACK ENDS)

Kirito's HP bar spiked down to red as he was flung across the hallway.

"KIRITO!" Shinoa yelled in concern, only to feel the monster's presence right behind her raising its sword.

From a distance, Sinon fired a bullet. The monster jumped back to avoid out of instinct and swung its sword, firing a massive air blade that destroyed the building that Sinon was sniping from. Holding her sniper, Sinon ran for dear life as the building on top of her was collapsing.

The black-winged, demonic monster roared. Shinoa raised her scythe defensively however it was quickly knocked out of her grasp. The possessed demon swung its weapon again and got Shinoa's arm, drawing blood. Shinoa clutched her arm in pain as she fell over.

She stared up at the demonic monster in fear, "Yu...please..."

The monster didn't react to its name as it raised its blade but flinched when hearing Kirito's war cry.

Despite being close to death, Kirito ignored his HP and flew towards the monsters, screaming as he swung his sword.

Concerned for his life, Shinoa cried, "KIRITO DON'T-"

At that moment, many things happened at once:

Someone flew in using hooks that attached to the wall and pulled Kirito out before he killed himself.

A purple winged girl grabbed Shinoa by the arms and pulled her out of the monster's range.

While holding an unconscious magical girl, a beast-like creature smashed through the wall and tackled the possessed demon in the opposite direction.

These three things happened all simultaneously. Before Kirito could even react to whoever saved him, he heard someone call his name.

"KIRITO!"

He turned and saw Asuna with Sinon standing behind her.

"WE'RE HERE TO HELP!"

Counting the white-haired girl who stood beside the beast-like creature, a total of 5 people had joined the battle: Asuna, Levi, Yuuki, Illya who was unconscious...and Illyasviel.

Yu, who had turned into a demonic monster, stood back up. Not caring that they had increased in numbers, Yu charged at his comrades with the intent of a malicious animal.
