Team KSYS vs Yu

Cursed Gear: Demonic weapons used by the "Japanese Imperial Demon Army", a military group responsible for dealing with supernatural threats. The "Moon Demon Company" are considered elites among the army, the best of the best. These weapon essentially harness the power of a demon which is even capable of eliminating an immortal vampire, however, each user is always at risk of being possessed by the same demon they draw power from.

"Your very existence really annoys me!"

Illya flew up to avoid. White familiars in the form of birds followed after her like homing bullets.

"I still can't get over seeing myself wear such a stupid outfit."

Berserker jumped so high that it reached the height that Illya flew to.

Ruby, Illya's magical wand, angrily claimed, "Hey! I'll have you know that this outfit is the cutest-"

A giant axe sword came down on the magical girl's face, sending the duo crashing back to the ground. Damage was reduced by her aura but it still hurt.

Illya coughed viciously, making her magical wand concerned, "Are you okay, Illya-chan!"

"I-I'm...fine."

Berserker landed nearby, right next to its master.

"Your naivety makes me sick! You're a joke! You know that!? I should just kill you where you stand!"

"But you haven't."

Berserker's master flinched, "Excuse me?"

"You haven't...and you won't. Because I know, deep down, you're a good person." Illya stood up with a face of determination. "You're not as bad as you claim to-"

"SHUT UP! WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT ME?! You're just saying half hearted things in hopes that I'll spare you."

"That's where you're wrong, Illyasviel. Let me show you, Illya...how serious I am!" Illya stood out and streched out her hand, "CHARACTER SUMMON!"

A blinding bright light appeared.

Covering her eyes, Illyasviel gasped as she remembered Jack's explanation on character summoning: a technique that allows you summon a clone of a character of the user's choice. When travellers and rebels use it, they summon whoever they want. However judging from observations, when a character uses it, they're limited to people who are close to them.

Illya could feel her fatigue and pain slowly clawing at her consciousness, despite that she cried out, "MAGICAL SAPHIRE!"

A blue magical wand appeared in her other hand.

Magical Ruby was horrified as she already knew what Illya was planing to, "Illya-chan! Don't tell me you're going to-"

"ZWEI FORM!"

Magical particles appeared and transformed Illya's outfit, changing her signature colour of pink to a mixture of blue and pink. Colourful wings made of pure mana sprouted from her back. The pain amplified but Illya remained standing, dual weilding magical Ruby and the clone of magical Sapphire.

Illyasviel eyed Illya's new transformation, "That form..." she observed the amount of magic circuits that was coursing through Illysa's body. It took her a moment to realise the amount of danger that Illya was putting herself in by using that form, and genuine shock and horror filled Illyasviel's expression "I-Idiot! You're mad! Are you trying to kill yourself!? Turning every part of your body into a magic circuit? Even with your aura, your body won't be able to take it!"

Illya only smiled upon hearing Illyasviel's warnings. Illyasviel stopped herself, realising that she was showing concern, "B-berserker!"

Her servant charged forward.

But by then, Illya had already gathered enough mana to unleash one of her most powerful attacks, "QUINTET FIRE!"

A large blast englufed Berserker, disintegrating the top half of Berserker's body. Thanks to the trajectory of the shot, the blast went straight past Berserker and towards the enemy mothership, creating a large explosion that pierced its forcefield.

For a moment, Illyasviel panicked. She looked over at Illya who was walking-no, limping towards her, "How...how can you still move after releasing all that..."

Illya, ignored all her agony and gently smiled.

"No...no stay away from me!" Out of fear, Illyasviel summoned her familiar: Storch Ritter. From her hair, mutiple small bird like creatures appeared and flew towards Illya. But with a swing of a wand and a few small mana blast, Illya deflected them. One did however hit Illya in the back but she kept going.

Illyasviel looked over at her servant. It was still regenerating and by the time it could move- Illyasviel almost gasped when she looked back and realised that Illya was now right in front of her.

Illyasviel braced herself as Illya got closer.

But instead of an attack...Illyasviel heard the sound of mana particles disappearing which was followed by a warm hug.

Illyasviel tensed, "O-OI! What are you-"

"Sshh, it's okay," Illya closed her eyes, "it must've been scary, working with those villains."

"Scared?! Excuse m-" Illyasviel stopped when she felt a thick red liquid dripping down her clothes.

"I-It's... okay now...y-your...big sister is here for...you." Ending with those words, Illya fell unconscious over Illyasviel's shoulders, causing the twins to fall over.

"HEY! Oi! What are you..." She clenched her fist as she knew Illya could no longer listen, "Why you little...you don't know anything about...I...I..."

It was all happening so fast. She had no idea Illya had that much power and yet was stupid enough to risk her life just to hug her. She really was a naive child, she thought. Illyasviel listened closely to Illya's breath. It was heavy but still showed signs of life. Innocent life.

Relaxing her hands, the girl gave in...and hesitantly hugged her unconscious twin back.

"I should be the big sister. Idiot."

It all happened simultaneously. Shinoa and Kirito were saved by Yuuki and Levi. Asuna recovered Sinon from the collapsing building. But the most surprising thing that happened was Berserker smashing through the walls, tackling the possessed Yu.

Yu staggered. Berserker raised his feet and kicked him in the abdomen, as it was carrying both Illyas in its hand. The creature put down its master and her twin. Asuna remained at a far distance with Sinon while Yuuki carried Shinoa and rejoined with Kirito and Levi.

"You're not thinking straight Kirito." Said a strict voice that could only belong to Levi, "You might as well have committed suicide."

"Levi. Everyone." Kirito regained his thought process, "I'm sorry I-"

"Would you guys hurry up," Illyasviel interrupted rudely, "His coming back."

As she said those words, the possessed Yu roared and flew at Illyasviel's servant. Berserker went to swing his giant axe sword but Yu was faster and sliced its arm off in one swing. The servant held Yu down with its other arm as it regenerated. Yuuki had her sword and wings ready in case Yu got passed Berserker.

Levi raised his blade and aimed it close to Illyasviel's neck, "So you're suddenly on our side now?"

Unfazed, Illyasviel huffed, "Yes. And you should be grateful."

His eyes looked over at the injured unconsciousness Illya who was next to her, "Is that so?"

"We can worry about that later. Her help couldn't be any more perfect. " Kirito regained his composer, "It was a mistake to split. I haven't been able to contact the others, they might be in trouble. We have to solve this quickly and regroup with everyone. Shinoa."

The female soldier flinched nervously, as if remembering a bad memory.

"Are you sure what you said will work?"

"Y-yeah, it worked before so umm, I need to-"

"Alright! Follow me then, I'll get you as close as I can. Levi and Yuuki, approach from the sides and distract Yu if he notices us. Illyasviel, can your servant tank for us?"

"Don't order me around!" Illyasviel wined but understood.

Kirito looked over at Asuna and Sinon and nodded at them. They nodded back at them. With reinforcements in both manpower and confidence, Kirito yelled, "Let's go!"

Levi and Yuuki flew forward, staying close to the edges of the damaged hallways. Kirito sprinted forward with Shinoa following behind. Changing forms, Kirito combined both avatars and duel wielded his light saber and excalibur.

Meanwhile, Yu was still clashing with Berserker.

With one arm, the giant servant swung its weapon which Yu blocked with his sword. They both seem to possess equal strength as neither budged. With its other arm, Berserker threw a punch. Yu jumped back to avoid. As he jumped, he turned so his back was facing the beast servant. His bloody, demonic wings moved according to his movements and impaled themselves through Berserker's chest. With unknown power, the wings lifted the servant off the ground and Yu turned around rapidly, throwing the servant across the hallway.

The possessed solider heard Kirito's footstep. He smashed the floor, creating a crater that caused Kirito and Shinoa to briefly lose their footing. The demon raised his sword but it was shot at by Sinon's sniper.

As if they had a mind of their own, Yu's demonic wings slashed at Yuuki and Levi when they got near. The pair deflected with their blades, distracting the wings from hurting Shinoa or Kirito.

Using a spell, Asuna healed and boosted everyone. Kirito regained his footing before Shinoa could and swung his swords at Yu. Yu was able to block with his sword using only one of his arms despite Kirito swinging at full force. Shinoa approached quickly from behind Kirito. Sensing this, Yu grabbed Shinoa by the neck with his other hand.

Yuuki flew in to save her but one of Yu's demonic wings got Yuuki's back. Another destroyed the dilapidated wall that Levi hook onto at the worst possible timing, causing one of the debris to fall towards him. He could evade but it took him a few precious seconds.

A bullet went straight through the arm that was grabbing Shinoa's face. Asuna leaped in and pulled Shinoa back while also striking Yu's legs. Kirito swung his other sword. The possessed soldier jumped back to avoid, where his back met Levi's blade.

The demon jumped into the air, his wounds seemed to not effect his movements. Yu then flew towards the ground. Yuuki and Levi flew away. Kirito, Asuna and Shinoa ran back. Yu smashed onto the ground, creating a huge crater. The impact created a violent wave of winds that blew everyone off balance.

Before Yu could launch an attack on one of them, Berserker appeared again and tackled him. The possessed demon pushed back with equal strength. The two of them crashed through the walls. Yu managed to let go of Berserker's grasp and slice Berserker's arm off. The servant reacted by bringing down his weapon down on Yu's head. Yu jumped to avoid and landed a powerful kick to Berserker's head, knocking him down.

By then, everyone had recovered and was running towards their possessed comrade. Yu's demonic instincts sensed them coming from a mile away and swung his sword, firing a red slash.

Shinoa and Asuna ducked. Kirito jumped. Yuuki deflected Yu's left demonic wing while Levi avoided the right wing that was targeted on him.

For who knows how many times, Kirito's blades clashed with Yu's. Their swords clashed once more with each of them pushing against each other. Kirito had his two light saber and excalibur in an X shape and was pushing with both his arms. Yu also had to use two arms to push back Kirito.

Asuna swooped in from Yu's side and Levi manoeuvred perfectly through the demonic wings so that he got a chance to get close to Yu with his blade.

Then, at that moment, Yu pulled back his head and smashed it into Kirito's head. Kirito staggered back. Yu then spun viciously and with his two giant demonic wings, it create a small wind tornado that blew everyone away from him.

A bullet grazed Yu's shoulder but missed. Sinon flinched. The demon was beginning to dodge her sniper bullet. Yu glared straight at Sinon who was at a distance with Illyasviel.

Suddenly, 10 floating bloody swords appeared and with supernatural speed, they came flying towards the sniper and the twin Illyas.

Berserker jumped and landed in front of its master, protecting its master, Sinon and Illya who was still unconscious. It then charged at Yu once more.

"This isn't working!" Illyasviel said bluntly.

No one replied but they all agreed. The possessed Yu had monster strength, instincts and reflexes. Even in this 7 against 1, Yu seemed to have the upper hand. Injuries didn't hinder his movements and they were slowly healing overtime.

"At this rate, our stamina and energy will give out before Yu does." Levi observed.

"He's slowly beginning to get used to my shots as well," Sinon added.

"What's the plan then?' Asuna asked.

Shinoa was silent. She was simply only thinking and concern for Yu. The more this battle dragged, the more the memory of Yu going beserk in the past kept haunting her.

"Is Yu going to be okay? He looks hurt even though his wounds are healing." Yuuki asked with genuine concerned.

"We're running out of time. We need to somehow disable his wings and blades at the exact moment that Shinoa closes in. Otherwise he'll recover and knock us all back again. That timing is going to be difficult to reach. if only we had-"

Their conversation was interrupted when they saw Berserker fly right over their heads. They all prepared, clearly this was no time to strategise.

Asuna activated a game spell that increased speed. Yuuki and Levi flew to the sides. Sinon switched to the ALO avatar which wielded a bow, this was to increase her agility and movement since a sniper was much heavier. Kirito charged to take Yu head on.

"Shikama!" Shinoa called our her demon which flew towards Yu.

Berserker got up, but by then the others had clashed with the possessed soilder.

Shikama threw itself on Yu with its sharp blades. Yu, with almost no effort, swung his sword and chopped the demon in half

The leader of team KSYS stared at his possessed teammate straight in the eye. Yu's eyes were blood red, with tears of thick fluid flowing out of them. Kirito attempted to knock Yu's weapon out of his hand with a little bit more strength. But their swords once again clashed with a hard clang. Yu's grip on his weapon was as hard as iron.

Levi chopped off one of the branches of Yu's left demonic wing however it quickly grew back. Yuuki flew, carefully avoiding the demonic wing's attack.

Sinon approached closer and aimed at Yu's leg. Asuna approached with her rapier with Shinoa following behind.

Yu began screaming. It didn't sound like Yu or even a human. It sounded demonic and loud. So loud that it created a sound wave that physically pushed every-back. They were all forced to cover their ears but even then, they're ears began ringing, temporary preventing them from hearing.

Only one not affected was Berserker. The servant brought its giant axe sword on Yu. Yu evaded by jumping. Berserker countered by throwing itself head-first, towards Yu while he was in mid air.

Out of pure instincts, Yu's demonic winds pushed themselves off the walls, giving him a boost. Yu raised his sword and in one strong swing, Berserker's entire body was vertically sliced in half. Berserker's master watched in disbelief.

Yu's next target was the closest person to him which was Kirito. Still recovering from Yu's demonic scream, Kirito raised his swords defensively and braced himself. However their blades never made any impact as Yuuki, who was the first to fully recover, swiftly flew in and stood in front of Kirito with a glowing purple sword.

"YUUKI!" Asuna screamed.

The purple swordswoman held no fear and endless courage as Yu swung his sword at her. Yuuki ducked low and stepped forward, causing Yu to miss. That miss opened up the perfect opportunity for Yuuki to unleash her 11-hit combo.

1,2,3 hits. Yu blocked and stepped back. Yuuki followed.

3,4,5. the impact of her hits didn't budge Yu's grip on his demon sword.

6,7,8. Things were not looking good.

(FLASHBACK)

Yuuki bowed her politely, "Nice to meet you."

Shinoa and Yu responded with the same greeting.

"O-oh, ah, nice to meet you too."

"Fallen in love already?" Shinoa teased.

Yu berated Shinoa while Yuuki just laughed.

Reading Yu's thought like a book, Kirito said, "She's a very talented fighter. Even better than me you know?"

"EHHH?" Yu reacted, he took another look at the gentle figure that was Yuuki, "Really? Can I verse you then?"

(FLASHBACK ENDS)

9, 10. It was hard to tell cause of how quick it all happened:

The purple sword woman placed as much of her might as she could, in her final strike.

Yu's grip on his weapon...loosened for a second.

The wing that Yuuki was distracting earlier threw itself at Yuuki and hit her hard at her sides. She was thrown across the field and ended up crashing into solid debris. Even with her armour and aura, her HP went from green straight to red.

Not wanting to waste Yuuki's efforts, Kirito dashed forward as fast as could with his glowing weapons. In one swift clang, Kirito successfully knocked Yu's sword out of his hand.

"GO! EVERYONE!"

Yu summoned ten floating swords. They were deflected by Sinon's magic arrow that split into 20 arrows. Kirito grabbed Yu's left arms and shoved his other hand into Yu's mouth, preventing him from screaming. Yu kneed him in the stomach and bite his hand hard. No blood but a lot of red game particles. Ignoring the agonising pain, Kirito held Yu in place. The two demonic wings lashed at the black swordsman. Asuna held back one wing using spells and her rapier. Levi flew in and sliced the other. The sword that knocked out of Yu's hand began levitating towards him. Levi, using incredible manoeuvre, flew passed the attacking wings and hit the sword further away, "GO! SHINOA!"

"HAI!" Shinoa let go of her scythe and ran towards Yu.

Trying to get the timing right, Kirito jumped back.

Still in midair, he pulled out a gun and shot Yu in the arms, silently apologising before yelling, "GO SHINOA!"

The demon possessed soilder opened his mouth to scream, but an arrow with no sharphead, was shot into his mouth, preventing him from doing so.

"GO SHINOA!" Sinon yelled.

"Yu-chan..." Shinoa jumped towards Yu, arms opened wide, "Yu-chan...please..."

With his wings, mouth, arms and swords all disabled, Yu...used his leg. Yu kicked the floor with immeasurable strength, firing a chunk of the floor towards Shinoa.

The female solider could only watch. It all happened too quickly for her to even react. Everyone else was also not at a position where they could pull her out fast enough. Sinon's arrow wouldn't make it in time. Levi and Asuna were too far. Kirito's legs began giving up on him and by the time Shinoa could say Shikama's name, it would've been too late.

Shinoa just watched. She watched as a mysterious beam of pink energy intercepted and destroyed the piece of debris. Shinoa threw her arms in front of her to shield herself. She then felt something small push her.

Kirito looked incredulously at who had saved Shinoa. It was Illya. A very injured Illya, in her magical form, pushing Shinoa forward.

Shinoa landed on Yu. She wrapped her arms around him. By then, Yu had began screaming and grabbing at Shinoa.

"YU-CHAN! COME BACK! COME BACK TO US!" Shinoa begged as she hung tightly to the demon soilder.

Yu screamed and screamed. But he noticeably didn't do any harm to the girl hugging her. He had recovered his blade, but it remained still in his shaky hand. He screamed. Everyone watched anxiously. In the heat of the moment, they had just gone with Shinoa's plan because she was from the same world as him, but now they were not so sure.

Suddenly, he stopped.

Silence.

Shinoa was still tensed.

It rained blood as the demonic wings suddenly burst and then disappeared.

Yu's body went limp as he slowly fell into Shinoa's arms like a rag-doll. Shinoa's body also gave in and she fell back on the floor with an unconscious Yu on top of her.

At that moment, relief had washed over everyone. Asuna ran to Yuuki and healed her while also scolding her about doing reckless things like that. Yuuki apologised with a tired smile. Sinon breathe out huge sigh as if she was holding her breath the whole time. Levi stayed on alert and kept an eye on their ex-enemy, Illyasviel. Speaking of which, Illya instantly dropped to the ground after the battle ended.

"You idiot! You were in no shape to fight!" Illyasviel scolded her twin.

"I'm glad..." Illya just smiled as she slowly passed out, "Everyone is...okay."

Illyasviel couldn't believe her. Illya had already passed beyond her limit, fighting her and yet she mustered up the strength to transform one more time.

Illyasviel shoved her hair into Illya's hair and pulled out Ruby the magical wand. She then violently began choking the magical wand, "YOU IDIOT! WHY DID YOU LET HER DO THAT!?"

"Hey hey, I was also worried but she made me," Ruby the wand complained.

"STILL!"

Kirito had to seat down after that. He was relieved. He looked over at Illya who had passed out next to her twin. Like most people, it was very concerning to see a child like Illya, fighting in a life or death battle. Regardless of her age, he was grateful for her efforts that saved them in the end.

Shinoa didn't move or let go of Yu. The battle had gone for so long that it was hard to believe that her hug actually worked. She had only thought of that purely on the basis that it worked last time, but even then it was quite a stretch. Yu slept peacefully, so much that you wouldn't believe that he was on the verge of killing his own family. Shinoa smiled.

As much as they wanted to rest, the ground began shaking.

Everyone looked down the destroyed hallway to see a horde of alien robots coming towards them. The robots from Sing-love's world. Now that Yu wasn't on a rampage anymore, enemies were now attracted to them.

"What do we do?" Yuuki asked.

"Do we fight?" Sinon added.

"Of course not, even with Asuna's healing, we still have two people down." Levi pointed out.

Everyone looked to Kirito.

"We retreat!" Kirito announced, "Asuna, get Illya. I'll carry Yu. Everyone else, cover us and don't stop to fight. We're going to regroup with the others. LETS GO!"

"Hai!"

Rewinding back, during the time Kotori, Yoshino, Julie and Yu began going rogue:

Jaune was panicking.

The laughing coffin had separated them. Which was the worst possible situation they could be in. After all, huntsmen and huntresses work best when fighting together.

Jaune's eyes scanned the situation:

Ruby still hadn't returned.

Blake was trying to juggle fighting and protecting Yang who had been paralysed.

Weiss was with Nora.

However, both Pyrrha and Ren were completely on their own and so was Jaune.

Between all of them were enemies, members of a murderous clan. All ready to draw blood. It was clear they had planned this.

Jaune tried to think. But they gave him no time to think. One thing was clear to him. He had to get everyone together. If they couldn't listen to his call, he would have to force his way through.

One man was leading the death guild. He wore a mask with red eyes. Eyes that were staring right at Jaune.
