Minerva McGonagall stood as a sentinel, looking down upon the Ravenclaw three. In her capacity as deputy head of the school, the remit of discipline fell to her to administer.

'Your head of house has informed me that you three have been bullying a third-year girl, a young and vulnerable girl at that. Have you nothing to say for your actions?'

Cho, Fawcett and Edgecombe stared at the floor. None of them wanted to be the first to speak; soon, however, the choice was taken from them.

'I will give you a simple choice. Explain your actions, or you will be expelled, and your wands snapped' advised the deputy-head.

'I... I don't know what to say to you Professor, Loon- I mean Luna has always been odd. Ever since her sorting she behaved strangely, dressed strangely and babbled nonsense about imaginary creatures. I mean, who wears a necklace made out of butterbeer tops?' offered Marietta Edgecombe.

'That necklace was the last thing that Luna's mother gave her before she passed away. She was nine and witnessed her mother die. Tell me, how do you think that you would cope as a nine-year-old girl? Seeing your mum die and then being left with her body for hours with no way to contact your father?' Asked Professor Flitwick. The gravity of their actions began to dawn on the three girls.

'Even after everything you have said and done to her over the years' said Professor McGonagall 'Ms Lovegood asked for clemency on your behalf, she said that she didn't want her house to lose three of the brightest students in the school.'

This admission shocked the girls; Professor McGonagall carried on 'she also asked me to speak with Harry Potter on her behalf sating that he would be unhappy about what had happened. Tell me, ladies, if the situation was reversed would any of you plead for clemency for your tormentor?'

The Ravenclaw three were stunned into silence.

Not only was she giving them a lifeline but offering to have the wrath of Potter curtailed; this was almost as frightening as it was unexpected. Everyone knew that Potter took his friends welfare very seriously and that he despises bullies. They said that he considered them somewhere between cockroaches and that white stuff that accumulates at the side of your mouth when you're really thirsty. Luna Lovegood had literally saved them.

'Given this unexpected plea, I will not expel you, this time. However, be warned that the three of you are on probation for the rest of the school year. Step out of line, and you will suffer the indignity of being the first pupils expelled in over fifty years. You will each of you lose three hundred points from Ravenclaw. That is one hundred points per person for each of the years that you have been bullying Ms Lovegood.' Minerva didn't have to shout; her stern look was enough to put the fear of God into the girls.

'You are dismissed' said Professor Flitwick.

The girls uttered their thanks and fled the office, leaving the professors to discuss the events.

'Did Ms Lovegood really ask you to speak with Harry?' Filius asked.

'She did, and when I collect Harry and Ms Granger tomorrow, I will have to speak with him. it would seem that this new Harry is well on the way to becoming the head boy that we all expect him to be, albeit three years early.' explained Minerva.

Sirius Black was a wanted man, not least by the magical government of the United Kingdom, or by his Godson but also by the attractive witch that had been sunning herself on the beach of the unplottable Black island off the coast of Grenada.

'Sirius Black, you get your arse back here so I can kick it!' hollered the attractive witch, who was now dripping wet.

'Not a chance Andi, I remember your temper!' sniggered the giggling fugitive.

'Mate, you're for it now!' called Andi's Husband.

Since Harry and Hermione had rescued Sirius from the Dementors and the magical government, his every move was advised by his counsel. Ted Tonks was a lawyer in both the Magical and non-magical legal systems. He was also married to Sirius' cousin Andromeda; it was this same cousin that was dripping wet and gunning for the former prisoner.

As Sirius was running away and giggling like a schoolgirl, the enchanted mirror sitting next to Ted began to vibrate.

'Ted Tonks here' said Ted as he answered the mirror.

'Ted, where is the old dog? Something has come up, and he needs to hear about it.' Remus asked.

'Eh he's a bit indisposed; Andi is currently attempting to drown him in a transfigured banana. It's not a pretty sight.' smiled Ted.

'Do you think you could persuade her to stay the execution? It's about Harry.'

Ted sprang to his feet and called out to the cousins 'OI! Pack it in. Remus is on the line. He says it's about Harry.'

All hilarity disappeared; Sirius transformed into his Animagus form and sprinted towards Ted and the mirror, Andi followed not too far behind.

'What's happened, where is he, is he alright?' Sirius said the panic clear in his voice.

'I'll answer them in reverse order; he's fine, he's probably at Harrods at his moment, and he has somehow managed to get you a trial.' Remus replied smugly.

Sirius dropped to the sand, the shock evident on his face.

Ted took the mirror and asked 'When and where?'

'The trial will be held in two weeks in court ten. Albus used his executive power to override Fudge and demand that a full trial takes place, including the use of Pensieve evidence and questioning under Veritaserum.' replied Remus.

'I thought you said that Harry got him the trial.' Asked Andi

'He did, he read Albus the riot act and told him that unless certain conditions were met, Amelia would bring criminal charges against him.' Remus couldn't help but smile.

'Ha-ha, he's a ballsy little bastard, I'll give him that. Why didn't Dumbledore call his bluff?'

'Harry read his parents Will. Albus knew that there was nothing that he could do to convince Harry otherwise. By all accounts, Harry has had a complete attitude change this year. He's even somehow managed to put a leash on Draco Malfoy. Our Harry is now a cold, calculating powerhouse and he won't be dictated to by anyone.' Remus proceeded to tell the trio about the confrontation with Albus, the meeting and continuous correspondence with Amelia. Sirius sat and listened, the pride in his Godson evident on his face.

Harry and the Grangers stood outside Harrods main entrance; this was a daunting prospect for Harry as the clothes that he had on were transfigured to look as though they at least fitted him, but this did not alter the overall look of the garments.

The Grangers on the other hand at least looked like the well to do middle-class family they were.

'Well, I suppose we had best get this over with.' said Harry.

He walked towards the main entrance only to be stopped by the doorman.

'I'm sorry sir; I think that you have the wrong store.' The doorman said while casting an appraising eye over Harry.

'Are you sure? My account manager, Mr Simpkins specifically told me that my appointment was today at this time.' replied Harry.

The doorman looked at Harry with a look of disbelief before asking 'May I take your name, sir?'

'Certainly, it's Potter; Lord Potter, Earl of Monmouth.'

'Of course, sir, excuse me a moment sir.' The doorman scurried away; this was clearly above his pay grade.

'You are the earl of Monmouth? Asked Dan

'I'm afraid so, it's been in my family for generations. When I went to Gringotts they gave me an inheritance test, and this was one of the things that came up. It is a title in name only, it holds no power in either the magical or non-magical world, but it looks good on paper.' explained Harry.

The doorman reappeared with his supervisor and another man in tow.

'Excuse me' enquired the supervisor 'My doorman advised me that there was a young man here claiming to be the earl of Monmouth, would that be you, sir?'

'Indeed I am, would you be my account manager, Mr Simpkins?' Harry spoke with an easy air of authority. The supervisor turned and looked at the other gentleman with him.

'That would be me, your lordship. I was told that you and your guests would be arriving his morning. Please follow me.'

Harry and the Grangers walked past the doorman and his supervisor and headed towards the Gentleman's Lounge.

'Lord Potter, Forgive me for appearing impertinent your family account has been dormant for many years. May I ask if you have the ring?' asked Mr Simpkins.

Harry held out his right hand; on his pinkie un-noticed by everyone, was the ring of the Potter Patriarch. Mr Simpkins saw the ring that was last worn by James Potter and smiled.

'It is so good to see you again, Harry, you were only a few months old with your mum and dad were last in to see me. It was a tragedy what happened to them, they were very dear friends, and I mourned their passing.'

'You would be the Cecil that my mother wrote about in her journal?' asked Harry

This brought a smile to Simpkins's eye, 'Lily was an extraordinary woman. Many st of the older employee's will be heartened to see that her son has come by.'

Harry beamed at this new connection to his parents. 'Please allow me to introduce my companions. Doctors Daniel and Emma Granger, and their daughter Hermione. Cecil I would be very much obliged if you could make my family account available to them.'

This comment caused many objections from the Grangers before Harry said 'I consider them to be family and perhaps in a few years Hermione will consent to make it official. Their money is no good here please make sure that their needs are met.'

Harry turned to the Grangers and said with a roguish smile 'It's not every day that a young lady discovers that her boyfriend is very wealthy and an Earl. Now we have some shopping to do.'

Albus Dumbledore was feeling all of his one hundred and thirteen years, since the beginning of term things had slowly begun to spiral out of his control. First, it was Minerva exercising his rights as the deputy head of the school; then it was Harry effectively neutering the Malfoy heir and bringing about a complete attitude change in Neville Longbottom that caused the boy to not only defend a girl in another house but to defy one professor and call out another.

Of course not to mention how he had masterfully manoeuvred the headmaster into checkmate without even breaking sweat. As Dumbledore pondered these things, his musings were interrupted by the sound of wrapping on his office window.

The unmistakable sight of a Gringotts owl, perched on his windowsill drew his attention.

Albus got up and opened the window; the owl offered its leg. When Albus took the scroll, the owl took flight.

It was an official missive from the desk of Director Ragnok himself; it was a rare honour for any non-goblin to receive correspondence from the director's office, it was almost unheard of to receive anything from the director.

Albus opened the scroll, as he read all colour drained from his face.

He sat back heavily on his chair and said.

'Harry, what has happened to you?'
