For the first time in her short life, Ryoba felt something. A yearning, a desire, a passion. It was that boy, Muko Suzuki. She had to protect him no matter what. He was the thing that made her feel alive. He was the only thing that made her feel... anything at all.

She didn't want him. She needed him.

"Would you describe your feelings as love?"

Ryoba blinked. She stared at the doctor seated in front of her - Dr. Genus was his name. He had been her doctor ever since she could remember. Her father had insisted she needed a doctor due to her condition, and so there he was.

Dr. Genus was an unusual man; a youthful face, but the wisdom in his eyes seemed to reach far beyond his years. He also seemed to have never aged throughout her entire life. Not to mention he had a strange amount of ties with the CEO of Saikou Corp.

If Ryoba had been a normal person, such facts would've befuddled her. But of course, she was not a normal person.

"Love," Ryoba repeated, wringing her hands together, shoe digging into her school skirt. "I don't know… I just… need him…"

"I see," Dr. Genus wrote something down on his clipboard. "And this is the first time you've truly felt something, isn't it?"

Ryoba nodded. "I guess it is."

Dr. Genus bit the lid of his pen after a moment of silence. "Miss Aishi, are you still having those dreams?"

Ryoba blinked. The dreams, of course. Every few nights, she had rather unusual dreams. Dreams of a distorted figure in front of her, surrounded by glowing red lines, stuck in some kind of void. She wasn't sure what it meant, or what the creature was. But she had an… intuition that she was connected to it somehow. Ironically, she felt more connected to it than her own parents.

"Yes," she nodded.

"And was it the same as always?" Dr. Genus asked.

Ryoba blinked, slowly. Suddenly, with a flash, she remembered. A voice, echoing deep into her mind, ebbing her feelings…

"No," she said. "The creature spoke to me."

"Destroy them… make them pay…"

Ryoba's eyes were glazed over. "Destroy them…?"

"Humanity must be punished…" the figure hissed. "Destroy them…"

Ryoba blinked at her hands. The figure continued to glitch. Dust and wind swirled around it.

"But if I destroy humanity, it means I'll destroy… him," Ryoba realised. "My senpai."

"Humanity is failing," the creature spoke. "They are destroying the Earth I created. It's your job to remove them."

"The Earth you created?" Ryoba asked. "Are you… God?"

"Some call me that," the figure replied. "I created your kind, too, Ryoba Aishi. The Yanderes."

Ryoba didn't say anything.

"Destroy humanity," God told her. "That is why you were created."

"I refuse," Ryoba turned away. "I won't kill my senpai. He is the only thing that makes me feel alive. I need him."

"It's meaningless," God told her. "Even if you deny this fate, another shall take it for you. You will not escape."

"I don't care," Ryoba hissed. "I need my senpai!"

Ryoba was willing to do anything for him. Muko Suzuki was hers, and he'd be hers forever.

She ignored God's pleas. She refused to follow its plan. She continued to see Dr. Genus however, who was the same as always. He didn't even seem bothered after Ryoba murdered a girl.

The damn bitch was getting too close to Senpai. So Ryoba did what she had to, and killed her. Left her for dead in the girl's bathroom. Naturally, the death caused a huge scene at Akademi Highschool. A journalist had been investigating Ryoba, and claimed she was guilty of the murder. But Ryoba easily pulled herself out of the situation. She convinced the entire world she was nothing but an innocent schoolgirl. And everyone believed her.

Well, Ryoba had a suspicion Dr Genus knew she was lying. The way he was looking at her… he knew the truth. Strangely enough, when she told him she was innocent, he made no move to question her. But Ryoba knew he knew. Dr. Genus had always been an unusual person. He held many secrets.

As for the journalist, well… Ryoba dealt with him too. She made sure to warn him never to cross paths with her again. He tried to hide, standing in an alleyway, but she found him. And warned him she did.

"It would be very easy to make your death look like a suicide. Don't ever cross me again."

And that was that. She left the pathetic, trembling man to his grievances. She focused back on getting Senpai to love her. Every step she got closer and closer to success. Senpai would be hers soon enough.

"Is it done?"

The young Yakuza nodded, staring Ryoba down. They were in a dark alleyway, surrounded by men in dark clothing.

"Threw out the hair clips and everything," he told her. "Just like you asked."

Ryoba smiled, soulless and empty. "Thank you."

The Yakuza had never met anyone as messed up as the girl in front of him. Sure, he dealt with criminals on a daily basis. Human trafficking, murderers, sex offenders, and countless others. But none of them had that… dead, inhumane look in their eyes. Even the worst of the worst he dealt with still seemed more human than the girl in front of him.

She disturbed him, made his skin crawl. But at least she paid her debts. She was reliable, he'd admit.

Despite that, he hoped that he wouldn't have to do another service for the psychotic girl.

Muko groaned, neck aching. He'd been asleep for a few hours, in an uncomfortable position it seemed. What was happening? His eyes fluttered open.

Muko thought he was delirious. He was in some kind of creepy basement, tools coated in blood lying around. Piles of robe littered the floor. Knives were dangling in the corner. And in front of him was a girl around his age, who looked somewhat familiar.

"Oh, darling!" she grinned. "You're finally awake!"

"... ahh?" Muko blinked. "What?"

"Watching you sleep is always fun, but it gets a bit old after six hours, you know?" the girl giggled.

"What's happening?" Muko demanded. "Where am I?"

"We're in my basement, darling!" the girl chirped. "My mom went through a lot of trouble to get this basement added to our home!"

"What are you talking abou-" Muko started struggling, noticing the ropes keeping him in place. "Huh? What is this?! Am I tied to a chair?!"

"That's right, darling," the girl titled her head. "That's the very same chair that my mother built for my father while she was keeping him here! And now you get to sit there, too! Isn't that romantic?"

"... aren't you... that girl who's been on TV lately?" Muko asked, blinking. "What was it… Aishi-san?"

"Oh, you don't need to be so formal, darling!" Aishi giggled. "You can use my first name, you know."

"Oh, god... it's not true, is it?" Muko's eyes widened. "All those things the journalist said?"

"I said. Use my first name. Darling." Aishi said, clenching her teeth.

Muko shook his head. "I'm sorry, I don't know you well enough to-"

Aishi pointed a knife at his throat. "Say. My. Name."

"R... Ryoba!" Muko gasped. "Ryoba!"

"Ahhhhhhhhhh…" Ryoba giggled, falling back. "Ahhhhh…"

"Wh... what...?" Muko asked.

"Oh, darling!" Ryoba put a hand on her chest. "I've been waiting so long to hear you say that! I'm so glad that I caught it on tape!"

"Wh... what do you want from me?" Muko demanded. "Am I your next victim?"

"Victim?" Ryoba frantically shook her head. "Of course not, darling! You're the one I was protecting this whole time!"

"Protecting...?" Muko went pale. "You mean… all those girls at school…"

"That's right, darling!" Ryoba nodded. "They were threatening our love! I had to get rid of them all."

"Love?!" Muko exclaimed. "But we've never even spoken to each other before!"

"I know, darling!" Ryoba clapped her hands. "It's so exciting to talk to you for the first time! I can't wait to have all of our firsts! Our first date, our first meal together, our first kiss, our first…" She giggled again.

"... Ryoba-chan…" Muko worked up his courage. "If you love someone, you shouldn't kidnap them and tie them to a chair!"

"Well, how else am I supposed to make sure that you don't try to run away, darling?" Ryoba teased.

"Please… please, let me go," Muko pleaded. "I promise I won't tell the police."

"Sorry, darling!" Ryoba shook her head. "You're not allowed out of that chair until I'm 100% sure that you'll never try to leave me! From this day forward, I'm never going to let you out of my sight! We'll be together… forever!"

"F… forever...?" Muko went pale.

"That's right!" Ryoba giggled. She gasped. "Oh! Looks like it's time to change the tape! One moment, darling!"

Sometime after the kidnapping, Ryoba stopped seeing Dr. Genus. She never thought of him again. But she still kept an eye on Saikou Corp.

A few more years later, and Ryoba got married to Muko, and his surname was changed to Aishi. Of course, Ryoba knew deep in her heart that Muko did not love her, hated her in fact, but she didn't care. She just needed him to feel alive, after all.

Ryoba did not have any dreams about God for a long time. She almost forgot about the figure entirely. Until one fateful day.

The day before her daughter was born, she saw the figure again. It wasn't much, just a simple appearance. And it gave her one simple warning:

"You will not escape."
