Ruby's thoughts became louder as "From Dusk Till Dawn" got farther away. That faithful encounter in that little shop wasn't just going to be a place of importance in her own story, but also the story of the universe as well. Like right now, if she had decided to go somewhere else that night, she would have never went to Beacon at a young age, and without the loss of Pyrrha, Penny, Ozpin, she would have never found herself being a part of a mission to reset the universe.
Stories of adventure had fueled Ruby's imagination as a child, and what she was experiencing now seemed like something only her mind could make up as a dream that she would describe in detail to her Mom.
Mom.
When this was all over, the new timeline that Chromos was going to create would have her Mom alive and well. The two of them would be the best Huntresses in the world, traveling around the kingdoms and stopping any form of evil that crossed their paths
All the anger and confusion Ruby had to endure at a young age in the aftermath of her Mom's demise would finally be worth it!
Still, just running away from her call to action felt wrong. And to be honest, time travelling felt wrong as well. But why? Her friends and family would all get another chance once this little quest was over!
The question gnawed on Ruby. She would soon get the answer.
Hope you enjoyed the release of two chapters today! I might do this for the next two weeks as well! Anyways this chapter was actually gonna be part of the previous one, with this scene coming before the scene with Jaune, but I decided to split the two into their own chapters since I felt like Jaune's suicide would have a bit more impact if the audience was only focused on him. So yeah, that why this chapter is kind of lackluster. Easily the worst one yet! Anyways, is anyone else excited for "RWBY: Ice Queendom"?
