Chapter 6

In the days our Lord, at the High-King's Palace, we find the High-King and Queen are worried about something to do with their children, Salazar and James. With Everett gone, Cronus fears that James will try to force Ceridwen into an arranged marriage; he knows that what happened for the Light Princess is already promised to someone else.

Our son is at it again, Rhea. if he does not stop this madness, he is liable to lose his daughter. "Is what Lord Cronus had explained to his wife." I will not lose another grandchild because of his need to prove that he is better than his brother.

What can we do, Milord? You and I know that we cannot interfere with men's affairs, my dear husband? "Rhea had told her husband while walking their rose garden."

Yes! I know, my dear; however, that does not mean I must like it. "Cronus had told his wife." As immortals, I know that we cannot interfere as we would like to. I just that we could have stepped in to prevent him from destroying Everett's dreams.

Cronus, dear Husband, why can't you let it be? There is nothing that we can do about the past. "Is what Rhea had said to her husband." Aphrodite is already on the job; our grandson is safe now, which is all that matters. We must focus on our Granddaughter; we cannot let James destroy her.

Of course not! My dear, I am more than aware of Aphrodite's power; however, I still would like to try to keep this from happening again, Rhea. "Cronus had explained to his wife." Everett is safe, so long as he stays with Rabastian, I will worry more minor, but Ceridwen is not. There must be something that we could do to help her.

I know Cronus, I miss Everett too, but we cannot dwell on the what-ifs. Husband, all we can do is be there for Ceridwen and hope for the best. "Rhea had said to Cronus." I expect that everything will be all right, those two; I don't want there to be a rift between Goliath and Odin more so than necessary.

After Lord Cronus had a long and complicated discussion about not getting involved with others' affairs, it was soon after that he had started to make his way towards his son's castle. No, sooner had Lord Cronus's Convey had made it to the front gate of the Palace than Princess Ceridwen and Lady Hawk were returning from their trip to the vast meadow, still talking about the day that almost destroyed their family.

When your brother was thirteen, his Nursemaid Velasca discovered him to be an Omega meaning that he could never inherit the Throne of the Celestial Kingdom. "Niemba had explained to the Princess." To say that your father was angry would be an understatement; I have never seen the King lose his cool that quit.

Ah! Yes, Odin did know how to throw a temper tantrum, doesn't he? I swear that sometimes you would think that his name would have been Jamie instead of James with how much that boy throughs a tantrum when things do not go his way. Hello, my darling Granddaughter. "Is what Lord Cronus had said to them as he walked towards them."

Princess, Look, your grandfather has come for a visit Milady. "Niemba had told the young Princess." Hello, Milord; it is nice to see you again, Your Grace.

Say, Niemba, why do you think Grandfather had come to visit us after 12 years of his Grandmother staying away? "Freyja had asked her Guardian?"

I do not know, Princess, why do not you go over there ask him yourself, Milady? I am sure that he has an excellent reason for here today. "Niemba had told her." Good evening milord. Are you here to see the King Your Grace.

Ah! My beautiful Granddaughter is there; how are you doing on this fine day, my child. "Lord Cronus had asked his granddaughter." And, yes, Niemba, I have come to see that idiot son of mine and try to see if I can talk him out of this idea.

I am doing okay, Grandfather; I am just upset with my father because he wants to marry me off to that Idiot Prince Draconis. "The young Princess has asked her grandfather." And, Grandfather, I am so that you are here to speak with father about that marriage contract; you are mine only for freedom.

Well, Ceridwen, I will try to get your father to see why you and your mother do not favor this marriage. "Lord Cronus had explained to his granddaughter." But as you know, the Gods can not interfere with the affairs of men.

Thank you, Grandfather, and yes, I understand. However, I am just relieved that you had come when you did. I know Prince Draconis, and he is not my idea of a fine husband. "Is what Ceridwen had said to her Grandfather." Oh! Hmm! Grandfather, I need to know, just what did happen to Everett? And why was he forced to leave the Palace?

Ah! After their son's Wet-Nurse, let us see, it was told by your father and mother that he was an Omega. "Her Grandfather had told her." When the Wet-Nurse had told James about Everett being an Omega, he did not take the news very well.

No! He did not know what to do with an Omega as a son, so James did what any Monarch would do. "Zephaniah had then added to the conversation." Making the Prince go through all those trials only for him to lose his life if it were not for Prince Rabastian, then Everett would have been dead right now, and so would his child.

Oh! My God! He was pregnant, but how it could be possible, and who is Prince Rabastian away; you have kept his name. "Asked the young Princess." Why was he so crucial to the story? I mean, was he neighboring Prince or something.

Hmm! If I remember it right, it was the time when your parents were hosting a party to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Myself and your Grandmother. "Is what Cronus had said to her." I believe Lilith had invited all the Royal Dignitaries from the other four Kingdoms to the Celebrations. And that's when Everett, who was 13-years-old at the time, had met his Alpha, I think.

So, who was the Alpha that Everett had met, and what happened to them? Did father know the person, and if so, what went wrong. "Is what Ceridwen had asked her grandfather." And the same thing could happen to me because that is something that I do not want to happen, Grandfather? I do hope that you could talk father out of this farce."

I will do my best, Ceri, but know this your Grandmother and I are behind you should you decide not to follow through with the contract. "Cronus had told her." Don't worry, Ceri; everything will work out in the end; remember that you have the power to change your fate. Now I must go and talk to that way wire son of mine.

Thank you, Grandfather; I will remember your words. "Ceridwen had said to her Grandfather." Just know that I will not let what happened to Everett happen to me; I would die first before that happens.

Let us hope that it doesn't come to that my dear Niemba has her Guardian. I'm counting on you to keep her safe. "Is what the aging King had said to the both of them ."

You have my Word, My King, that no harm will come to the Princess. "Niemba had explained to the High-King as they continued walking towards the Throne-room."

Well, that's exciting. The High-King of Terrian has come on behalf of his Granddaughter. Let's see if the High-King can talk some sense into King James before it's too late. Don't forget to review.
