So this is a long time coming and I apologize for the shortness of it. With everything going on the in the world, the direction of the story hits a little close to home. But I'm going to keep up the story from here.

Just forewarning that I've gotten extremely busy with work and would like to say to expect the next update soon, but make no promises.

"WHAT?! Auntie Kris AND Uncle Bucky?" I had to chuckle as Cass slammed on the brakes as he rounded the corner into the Wilson's kitchen and saw the two of us sitting at the table. "That's awesome!" I smiled as his eyes went from us to Sam, who was helping Sarah put food on the table. "Uncle Sam, how did you get such cool friends?" His question had me choking on my coffee, catching me completely off guard.

"Little man, Kris and I are only friends with him so we can hang out with you." Bucky patted my back as the coughing slowed and I took another sip of coffee. Cass nodded as he thought about the answer given.

"So you're friends with me FIRST?" I nodded.

"Absolutely. I'd pick you over Captain America any day Cass." Giving the kid a wide smile, I felt Sam's scowl and glare.

"Keep it up you two." He muttered as he placed a platter of biscuits on the table. Cass scooted to flop down in the seat across from me.

"How you been?" I watched as his face broke into a wide toothy grin.

"AWESOME! I got your package of candy from Russia!" His eyes were wide and as he spoke I felt Bucky stiffen in his chair beside me. "AJ and I ate so much!" Then his smile turned to a frown. "And then mom took it from us." I sighed and gave Sarah a wink.

"Mom's have to worry about cavities. I just worry about being your favorite person in the world." Cass's face lit up again.

"When are you going back?" I knew he was going to ask for more treats. To him it was a vacation, completely oblivious to what I went there to do, and for that I was thankful and grateful. "Maybe next time AJ and I can eat it all before Mom even knows we got it!"

"What are we doing?" AJ stumbled into the kitchen as he rubbed sleep out of his eyes. The older of the pair, and definitely the calmer of the brothers.

"Kris is gonna send us more candy when she goes back to work in Russia. Because she's awesome." I chuckled at his statement and looked at Sam.

"I'm AWESOME Samuel." Giving him a smirk as he took his seat, he countered with an eye roll.

"I'd prefer if you were awesome in friendlier territories." He muttered and I watched Bucky's head nod in agreement.

"Where's the fun in that?" Cutting my eyes at Bucky. "Don't you start being all defensive, you haven't known me long enough." He rolled his eyes as he sipped from his orange juice.

"Oh, so you admit this is a bit…quick?" Sam glared at Bucky and I, about to speak before Sarah popped the back of his head as she took her seat at the table.

"You shut your mouth. Let the two of them be." Sarah gave Bucky and I a smile. "So what do you two have planned for the day?" I shrugged quickly.

"I have no plans. Before…last night, my plans were basking in the sun on the dock." Bucky squeezed my hand under the table.

"Those plans don't have to change." His voice was gruff and I felt it in the pit of my stomach. I heard Sam make gagging noises.

"Are you okay Uncle Sam?" Cass looked over to him quickly concern on his face. I rolled my eyes at Sam's antics.

"He's fine C Man. He's just acting like an idiot." I narrowed my glare to Sam. "Could you grow the f…" My phone blared from my pocket, interrupting my scolding. Glancing at the screen, I hopped up from the table. "I have to take this outside." Nodding towards the door. "Don't wait for me, not sure how long this will take…or what it's about." Tapping the green button, I put the phone to my ear as I walked out. "It's Decker. What's up?" I continued walking away from the house, towards the water.

"Hey Big Sarge, I know you're enjoying some down time." Our team leader, Captain Joe Grant, said hesitantly.

"And you didn't call to just check up on me. What's up Cap?" I toed the dock I stood on, looking out at the gulf.

"Wheels up was shifted to the left. I hate to say it, but you're going to have to cut the vacation short by a bit. Need you back in three. They want us in country as soon as possible. The fear is something is about to go down and they want us there before it does." I rolled my eyes.

"Going from twelve to three days is more than just a bit sir." I said. "But too easy I'll get my flight changed."

"I know you never go home, and I wouldn't ask if it wasn't completely necessary." Captain Grant sounded halfway apologetic. Sighing I looked over my shoulder and saw Bucky standing on the porch watching from a distance.

"Is it really a home?" I muttered. "I expect a good 30 days after this mission. And then I'll turn my phone off completely." He laughed, not hearing or not acknowledging the first part of my statement.

"Bet. You can have a whole month the moment we get back stateside Deck, scout's honor. Just need you to help me lead the guys through this and do the damn thing." With a sigh I turned my head so I was facing the sun, enjoying the warmth.

"I knew it was too good to be true…" I mumbled to myself. "Too easy, see you in 72 hours or less."

"See ya then." The call ended and I fought the urge to chuck the phone into the water, settling for an exasperated sigh instead that wasn't close to being as therapeutic. You knew better, I scolded myself before turning and seeing that Bucky had started moving towards me seeing that the phone call was over. This is what happens when you get close to people. Twenty four hours and I'm all about white picket fences and some alternate reality. Rolling my eyes at the thoughts, I walked back towards the house and the Super Soldier that had no right looking that fucking attractive this early in the day.
