Chapter 4: A New Dawn

"It is so exciting! We can finally meet Pain and-Shut up idiot. You are embarrassing us. No, I'm not!"

Pain and Konan stared at the bi-colored, with some plant coming from his shoulders, man argue with himself for a few more seconds before Pain had enough. "Silence." He commanded and the man shut up "Who are you and how did you find us." He said, eyes glowing.

The white half gulped and the black half coughed in his hand "Our name is Zetsu. We are brothers sharing a body, a side effect of our quirk at birth. You can call my idiot brother, White Zetsu and me Black Zetsu. Or just refer at us by Zetsu." Black Zetsu explained and White Zetsu nodded "Yeah! And we can divide ourselves!"

Konan nodded "And how and why did you find us?"

"Well, pretty lady," He said and flinched at the glare of Konan "We used our quirks-my quirk-shut up! I used mine too! Anyway, my quirk is Consume and Adapt, by having a piece of DNA of anyone, I can become that person! Use his mannerism, personality, looks even abilities and quirks." He explained and Pain narrowed his eyes... he had heard that before "And I have Adaptable Substance. I can mold my body in any way I see fit."

"You haven't told us why you looked for us." Konan demanded.

"Right, we wanted to see if you were, y'know-real."

"And now that you know, what will you do with that information." Pain asked and Zetsu grinned.

"We want to serve you!"

"Why?" Pain asked narrowing his eyes.

"We have our own personal agenda against All for One." Black Zetsu explained "And I know he is your plans. So, you can always use a spy, right?"

Pain closed his eyes "Very well. Zetsu, I want you to scout powerful people that can be useful for our group. Once you do find someone, call me. I will see if they are worthy."

Zetsu nodded "Yes Pain-Sama"

As Zetsu started to leave through a crack on the floor, Pain turned to Konan, "Are the uniforms ready?"

Konan nodded as she showed him a coat of a black color with red clouds on it.

*Days Later*

"Are you sure this, Kakuzu, is 81 years old and is immortal?" Pain asked Zetsu that nodded.

"That's correct. Aparently-His quirk allows him to literally steal hearts and- The quirk that comes with that person."

Pain nodded, both of them had their new robes and where walking towards the meeting point. Konan was sent to recruit another possible member.

Once they arrived, there was a tall brown man with stitches all over his body, long brown hair, red eyes with green iris and no pupils. "Good thing you are in time. Time is money for me." Kakuzu said crossing his arms and Pain nodded.

"I agree. So, Kakuzu; Zetsu said you had an interest in joining our organization. Why?"

"Simple. The money that working for you can bring me. That is what I am interested in."

"So, you plan on using me to become rich? And what can you do?" At that moment hand detached and shot towards Pain, only for the path of Asura to slap it towards the wall. The fist was going so fast and with such strength it broke the wall.

The black tendrils connected with the hand pulled it back towards the arm and Pain nodded "Interesting... Now, how will I know you will remain loyal?"

Kakuzu grinned "Guess that you can't. Just keep paying me and-"

"Universal Pull."

Kakuzu was shot forward him as gravity pulled him to Pain, and the human path grabbed him by the neck and the Asura path created a flamethrower and aimed it to him. Kakuzu tried to break free but started to feel weaker "If you betray me, not even death will save you, Kakuzu."

The Human Path let him go and Kakuzu regained his strenght "Fine... but-"

"You will get a profit. Is more, you will be the treasurer of the organization. And I'll make sure you will never be poor, or even middle class." Pain said and Kakuzu smirked.

"I can accept that deal, Pain-Sama. When do I start?"

*With Konan*

Konan watched from the roof how the red-haired teen left the building. He was wearing a brown sleeveless camo jacket, with grey cargo pants and multiple capsules on his waist.

"Sasori Aka," She said and Sasori looked up to her "God wishes to meet you."

Sasori raised a brow, but remained emotionless "God? You mean the Pain guy of the news?"

Konan flew down with paper wings as she nodded "Yes. I am Konan, his angel."

Sasori smiled slightly "I see... and what makes you think I want to meet him?"

Konan narrowed her orange eyes "I am not asking you. God wants to meet you. You should be grateful at his offering."

"You see, I don't believe in God. I just want to focus in my art." He took one capsule (A/N: Dragon Ball's Capsule Corp Capsules) and pressed the button, opening it and from it came a puppet. "I bet you would make a fine puppet. Come now Angel-San; become art."

From Sasori's fingers, energy strings came and connected with the puppet, and with a movement of his finger the puppet lunged at her.

Konan dissolved into paper surprising Sasori. He looked up to see Konan flying over him, while sending paper needles to him, destroying the puppet and stabbing him.

Sasori didn't flinch, removing the needles as Konan descended again "It seems I don't have choice to go now. I could take out more puppets but I feel I would still lose."

Konan nodded "Pain will let you continue with your art; at the same time, he will protect you. Do you agree?"

Sasori nodded "I agree to meet him. There I will make my decision."

*With Pain, Kakuzu and Zetzu*

"DIE!" Pain didn't even look at the shark man wielding the bandaged sword. He was ready to deflect him, when Kakuzu, with his uniform, jumped in front and blocked the attack with his hardened arm.

"I expect a bonus from that."

Pain turned to the shark looking man. He was wearing a sleeveless tight navy shirt, shorts, leg and arm warmers, and was grinning. "Who are you." Pain demanded and the shark man laughed.

"I am Kisame Hoshigaki, and I wanted to test the famous Pain."

Pain narrowed his eyes as they glowed in the dark "Why? Do you come for a reward?"

Kisame laughed "No, no, no. Nothin' like that. I am a simple guy with simple tastes. I want to join you, to fight. I live for the thrill of stronger opponents, and I know if I join you, I will find them."

Pain nodded and turned to Zetsu "Give him a robe."

"Are you sure Pa-As you wish Pain-Sama."

Kisame took the robe and put it on "Thanks boss, by the way, this is Samehada." He said pointing to the sword "It was my brother, but an accident left him like that. His quirk is 'Harvest' it can eat other people to become stronger. Mine is 'Shark Skin', I think it is pretty self-explanatory."

Pain nodded "Follow me. All of you."

Kisame and Pain were walking in the night "Oi Leader-Sama; who is this kid again?"

"His name is Itachi Uchiha. He has a quirk similar to mine and I want to see it."

"Oh? Is he strong then?" Kisame asked and Samehada purred.

"We'll see now." Pain answered as red eyes with three tomoes were in front of them. Pain could see him clearly, a teen, maybe younger than him, with a grey hoodie covered in blood came walking to them, tears in his eyes.

Kisame grinned "Oi, Itachi right?"

Itachi glared at them "Out of my way."

"Itachi Uchiha, prodigy of the Uchiha Assassin Clan. I came with an offer of joining me."

"Not interested." Itachi said walking past them. Kisame reached for Samehada and Pain stopped him.

"You lost control. Of your eyes, didn't you?" Itachi stopped at that.

"You don't know anything..."

Pain closed his eyes "I do. These eyes, can be a curse or a blessing. That's your choice to make. And if you need support, I am here for you."

Itachi looked at him eyes full of tears "My sins..."

"Will be forgiven once I saved this world."

"Why can't Leader-Sama come with us this time?" Kisame asked as he, Itachi and Sasori inside his puppet Hiruko walked to an abandoned demolition site.

"Leader-Sama is busy, dealing with the League of Villains and Stain." Itachi answered.

"And besides, this should be fast. I am the leader of this mission, so let me do the talking." Sasori said with a voice modulator as they entered one of the buildings.

Inside, a blonde teen, around Itachi's age, was messing with a clay sculpture of a spider "So, you came here to arrest me, Hm?"

"Deidara, isn't it? You requested a meeting with us."

Deidara nodded "I did request a meeting with Pain. Not with his minions. Hm."

Sasori was going to answer when Itachi did it first "What you say if we make a test."

"Hmm... and what would be the test be about? Hm."

"We fight. You lose, you come with us. You win, you are free to go."

Deidara smirked and stood up "Very well... let me show you my art now!"

Itachi rushed to Deidara who created some clay animals that went to Itachi. Deidara grinned and snapped his fingers, making the sculptures explode.

From the smoke crows appeared confusing Deidara "Eh? Is this your quirk?"

"No." Itachi voice came from everywhere, making Deidara look around "This is your nightmare."

The crows descended towards Deidara and transformed into knives, stabbing Deidara at the arms.

Itachi took out a knife and walked to Deidara when a voice interrupted "Itachi. That's enough."

Pain was entering the building, as Sasori and Kisame let him pass "How did it go with Stain, Leader-Sama?" Kisame asked.

"Someone got there first and killed him." Pain answered stoically and Itachi dispersed his illusion, and the knives in Deidara's arm left, as did the pain.

"Deidara. You wanted to meet me. Here I am." Pain said, his eyes seizing Deidara that gulped.

"Yeah... you see; I am interested in your group. And I want to know what your deal is. Hm."

Pain nodded "I plan to save this world. Eliminate the pest known as Heroes and Villains and start anew. And I know a bit about you, Deidara Tsubuki. Abandoned by everyone you trusted, for being... destructive."

Deidara looked down and Pain placed his hand on his shoulder "Join me. Join me and prove them wrong, by saving them."

Deidara only nodded.

Pain, Kakuzu and Konan walked into the abandoned building of the cult of Jashin. Konan looked around "It reeks of dead here." She commented and Kakuzu nodded.

"I had heard rumors of this group. Jashin is some sort of demon, right?"

Pain nodded "According to Zetsu, they made an experiment with one of their members, making him immortal, with help of All for One."

The door of the basement was opened and from there a shirtless teen with silver hair, and red pants with his torso covered in bandages. He had a three bladed scythe with a rope tied to it.

"Lord Jashin... your servant will give you more sacrifices!" The man said with a grin and rushed to them.

Konan created a paper spike that stabbed him at the heart, but the man didn't stop, if something, he ran even faster. "Kakuzu, if you may." Pain said and he nodded.

Detaching his arm making it fly towards the cultist, grabbing him by the neck before throwing him to a wall.

Kakuzu connected his arm again as the man laughed walking out of the crater "Man! Aren't you freaky!" He mocked as his injuries healed themselves.

Kakuzu growled "Believe me, we aren't that different."

"Eh!? And why's that!?"

"We are both immortals. I can help you to use that to your advantage. How to not get caught. What you say?" Kakuzu offered and the teen thought about it.

"I don't know... I just want to spread the word of Jashin. If you guys let me do that, I guess I don't have a problem."

Pain nodded "Konan, give him a robe."

As they left with the teen named Hidan, Pain congratulated Kakuzu "I must say, I am impressed with what you did back there."

Kakuzu nodded "What can I say. I am starting to enjoy this job."

*HQ*

Every member was sat at a round table, with Pain at the head. (A/N: Each member is wearing their Akatsuki clothes from Naruto without their headbands. Sasori is in Hiruko.)

"Today, is the day where this organization is born. Today, is the day where a new dawn for this world arrives. We are Akatsuki, the new saviors of this putrid world."

"So, what's our first mission, Leader-Sama?" Deidara asked from his spot and Pain nodded.

"The death of All Might and All for One."

Hidan giggled "I bet that Jashin will enjoy their blood."

Kakuzu nodded "Some rewards for their heads will be nice."

"And where will we attack?" Itachi asked and Pain nodded to Zetsu.

"Weeeeell, the LOV, League of Villains, Will attack the training camp of UA. If we play our hand well, we can kill both of them in that moment."

"Man, I can't wait to fight them! It will be exciting!" Kisame exclaimed.

"We will go in groups of two. Hidan and Kakuzu, Itachi and Kisame, Sasori and Deidara and myself with Konan. Zetsu can go alone for now. Questions?" Nobody asked and Pain nodded "Then get ready. In three weeks, we will show ourselves."

*Pain Room*

"It is amazing, Pain-Sama." Konan said "To recruit them and make them loyal in such short time. You truly are incredible."

Pain smiled at her "Thank you Konan. I wouldn't be able to do this without you."

"Give yourself more credit, Pain." Pain eyes widened at the new presence and glared at the teen sat on the window with the orange mask, with only one hole for his eye to be seen. "After all, even dad fears you."

"Who are you." Pain demanded and the he chuckled.

"You can call me Tobi. And for who I am, I am All for One son. And for why I am here... I just want to join you."

"How do we know you are of trust?" Konan asked and Tobi laughed.

"Believe me, I want him gone." His eye visible eye turned red "Maybe even more than you do."

Pain could see the hate in that eye. He nodded "Very well, Tobi. Keep your identity secret. I don't know how the other's members will react with you being the son of our enemy."

Tobi nodded "Fair enough. Don't worry, I am a good actor. Also, my quirk is called 'Generous Thief'. Long story short I can copy quirks from anyone, without taking them away."

Pain nodded "I will tell Zetsu that I found his parther."

Tobi nodded "Good by me, Pain."
