It is September 20, 1943 and Derek was in his living room with Shane, Phil and Katelyn sitting on the couch watching Derek walked back and forth. "Derek, I'm sure it's not a big deal." Shane tells him.

"I don't care, that sick Luke freak has gone too far!" Derek snapped.

"What did he do?" Phil asked.

Shane shrugs.

"He didn't say." Shane tells him.

Derek lets out a sigh.

"Kathy, could you go check on the boys for me?" Derek asked gently.

"Awww, but I wanna hear!" Katelyn protested.

The boys chuckled at her.

"Please Kathy?" Derek asked.

Katelyn lets out a sigh.

"Oh alright." Katelyn gave in as she stood up.

Derek pats the back of her head as Katelyn went upstairs to check on the boys who were playing nicely with their toy cars.

"She's so adorable!" Phil smiled.

They chuckles at her.

"Phil, you're still too young to hear this." Derek adds.

"Awww!" Phil awed as he stood up. "I can't wait when I'm 13."

Derek gave him the look that read, "What did you say young man?".

"Phillip." He warned.

"Alright, alright." Phil gave in, going up the stairs to join the others.

Shane turned back to Derek.

"I'm 2 years younger than you bro!" Shane says.

Derek chuckles at him.

"Don't worried kid, I'm gonna tell ya." Derek assured him.

Shane nods his head with a smile as Derek sat down next to him.

"So what did Luke do?" Shane asked him.

"He tried to make a move on Anna and then sexually attacked her." Derek told him. "I mean, Anna is a good girl and is super smart…she's at the doctor with her mother." He adds.

"What a creep!" Shane stated.

Derek nods his head.

"You said it buddy." Derek said.

"So…what are you gonna do?" Shane asked.

Derek stood up and turned to him.

"I'm gonna fight him tonight." Derek tells him.

Shane stood up.

"No, you're gonna get yourself killed." Shane protested.

Derek lets out a deep sigh.

"Shane, I have to do it." Derek said. "He said if I rumble with him, he'll leave Anna alone."

Shane bit down on his lower lip.

"But what about Danny?" Shane asked. "The kid is still gonna need his big brother. We all love you, Derek!" Derek lets out another sigh.

Derek knew he was right, but he feels like that he have to do it.

"Shane, please." He begged. "Cover for me."

Shane lets out a sigh.

"Please Shane," He begged again. "Come on, we're brothers."

Derek pats the side of his face.

"Please kid…" He adds.

Again, Shane lets out a sigh.

"What do you want me do?" Shane asked.

Derek ruffles his hair.

"That's my boy." Derek smiled. "Ok, can you stay here and watch the kids until our folks come back?"

"What do I tell them when they ask where you are?" Shane asked.

"Just tell them that Anna needed me." Derek told him.

"Ok." Shane said.

"Thanks kiddo," He smiled. "I'm gonna go say goodbye to the kids first and then I'm off."

Shane looks up at Derek.

"I promise Danny that I would say goodbye first." Derek told him.

Shane chuckles at him.

"Ya know…for a greaser, you have a soft spot for your baby bro." Shane smirked.

Derek silently glared at him.

"Shut up." Derek said with a laughed as he walked up the stairs.

Shane laughs to himself, he would be same for his baby brother Sonny.

"Just don't want Danny to lose a brother at such a young age." Shane mutters.

Second later, Derek came back down.

"Alright, wish me luck kid!" Derek said going to the door. "Bye."

Shane waved as Derek went to his car, driving off.

"Please God, please protect Derek…" Shane prayed.

He was worried for Derek's safety and hoping he wouldn't get killed.
