"What are you doing to Levi?" Eren snapped his jaws at them.

"Eren!" Levi stumbled out of Isabelle's grasp and ran towards the Emerald Prince's side. Resting both hands on the Alpha's chest, Levi gently pushed the Prince back to where the children were. "Let's go back to the children-"

Levi glanced at the square where the children were supposed to be but he discovered that not a single child was on site. The raven looked up cautiously to the in raged Alpha, realizing that Eren was giving off his scent and forcing everyone around to know his presence and fear him. Marco was out of sight as well as the birds that were singing earlier in the trees. The park was dead empty and silent except for Eren's deep growling.

It was terrifying, Levi could feel Isabelle's and Farlan's fear. Eren's scent showed power and dominance, it was almost toxic to breathe.

But none of those affected Levi.

"Hey," Levi gently cupped his face. The brunette was growling like a savage animal, his gold eyes were zoned at Isabelle and Farlan. It was like he was a tiger stalking his prey like he was just waiting for one of them to move and he'll pounce on them with teeth bared and claws ready to rip the skin.

"Eren, listen to me," Levi tried again and reached out with both hands, forcing the Alpha to look at him.

The Alpha tilted him down a little however, Eren had still his eyes locked on the two, and his scent spiked. His arms, looped around the raven's waist and held the other close to his body.

"Easy, there," Levi cooed and unconsciously gave off a soft, sweet scent to calm the Alpha down. It was a struggle because his Alpha dynamic barely gave off a sweet scent that Omegas could naturally release. Things would be much better if he was an Omega but for now, he'll work with this.

"These people," Eren growled.

"They're my friends," Levi explained.

"They are trying to steal you from me!" Eren declared with rage.

The atmosphere grew heavier and Levi was glad the children were not with them at the moment, if they were, this would be traumatic for the little ones.

Isabelle gasped and fell to her knees. While Farlan's legs were shaking, struggling to keep himself upright with scent forcing him into full submission.

Levi gasped at his friend's current state. He didn't want to get hurt, they were his family and they just wanted to save him.

"Stop it!" Levi weakly punched the prince in the chest.

And as quickly as that, the toxic scent of dominance was gone. The atmosphere was back to normal as if nothing had happened and Levi could hear his friends sucking in the air with relief.

"Did you... Did you just punch me?" Eren asked with his jaw hanging. His eyes were wide and were finally back to emerald as he looked at Levi with disbelief and shock. "Why did you do that!?"

"Because you're being a brat!" Levi bit back.

"Those two people were trying to-"

"Help me," Levi cut him off. "They're my friends Eren, no, not friends, they are my family."

"Oh, really?" Eren mocked and gestured his chin on the alleyway. "Where's your family now?"

"They-" Levi paused the moment, he turned back and saw the alley was empty. He was a little disappointed that Isabelle and Farlan left but it was for the best. Levi had no idea what to do if they got caught. He looked up at Eren with his best puppy dog eyes, hoping that he'll get in touch with the Alpha's good side. "Don't hurt them, please."

"Ahahaha!" Eren let out a loud laugh. "Why would I listen to a thief?!"

"Because you love me," Levi mumbled under his breath. He certainly missed his sweet and gentle Eren. Not this asshole in front of him.

Levi blinked when Eren removed his arm on him his waist. The sudden loss of touch from his Alpha made the raven lean toward the brunette instinctively.

"Wait, no, wait!" Eren pushed him back, his other hand was covering his mouth as he babbled his words with a deep blush on his face. "Are you serious? Haha!" he laughed awkwardly

"What?" Levi arched a brow at him. It took him a few seconds to realize that the prince heard him loud and clear. "Um..."

"I'm not in love with you!"

Levi's heart dropped. He knew that this was not his sweet and gentle Eren but the words still hurt. Even though he's an Alpha now, the love he had for the brunette was still the same. His modern Eren definitely wormed his way to his heart and Levi accepted him little by little. Those words hurt more than they should but he must get his shit together. Levi just wanted this to be over, he wanted to go home and be with his sweet Eren. Not this one.

He must have looked like a kicked puppy because Eren panicked. "H-hey, I mean-"

"My prince!" Marco came running towards them, his weapon ready in his hands. "What happened, my prince?"

Levi shook his head, he walked past the Alpha and faced the Beta guard with a blank expression. "Nothing, the Emerald Prince got mad at something stupid."

Marco switched his gaze at the prince and back at the raven. He could feel the tension between the two. The guard did sense the prince's anger, that was why he assisted all the children out. He knew the prince more than anyone, Eren had anger issues that could lead to something dangerous. But everyone knew to never crossed paths with the brunette Alpha when he was mad or it would be chaos.

However, the atmosphere was not what he expected when he decided to step in and help out the prince. The tension between the prince and the raven thief was heavy and just standing right there made Marco feel awkward.

Eren looked like he lost his marbles while Levi seemed upset at something.

"Um, my prince? Should we all return to the palace?" Marco suggested awkwardly.

"Ah..." Eren gaped at him his emerald eyes kept drifting to the raven.

"Yes, please," Levi answered instead. "I have to do laundry."

"Um, yeah!" Eren awkwardly gave Marco a thumbs up.

Marco forced a smile, knowing that it would be a very awkward way back to the palace.

And it was. Marco was walking between the two. Eren was silent and biting his lower lip nervously while Levi had a frown on his face and had his arms crossed his chest defensively. Marco just wanted to disappear right there.

Once the palace doors were open, they were greeted by the Pharoah and he didn't look, please.

Marco tensed and stood up straight like a tree, Levi felt the pull of submission at the simple sight of the angry Pharoah. This only meant one thing, they got caught. Though Levi knew this would happen, he was not sure how to react to it.

"Father-" Eren attempted to explain but Grisha's palm landed on his cheek. The harsh sound echoed through the castle.

"He was just trying to feed the children!" Levi couldn't help but step in. He's aware that stealing rations from the palace's stock was wrong but the prince had good intentions, plus, it helped build up the morale of the new generations.

"Levi," Marco whispered to him but it was too late. Levi already spoke.

Grisha glared at him and swiftly punched the raven in the stomach. Levi gasped and fell to his knees, arms wrapped around his middle. He coughs several times before whimpering in pain.

"Hey!" Eren hissed at his father.

"You better teach your slave how to behave boy or I'll be taking him off your hands and passing him down to the executioner," Grisha growled at his son, teeth bared.

Eren glanced down at Levi's form, face pulled down with worry before looking back at his father with a blank expression. This time, he straightened his back and sighed. "Yes, father."

"And as for you," Grisha turned to Marco. "You know your punishment."

Marco gulped and bowed. "Yes, my lord," he said before stepping back and leaving.

Eren watched helplessly as the guard made his leave. He snapped at the Pharaoh. "Father, please. Marco was only-"

"Enough! You are not leaving this palace until you're wed!"

"What?!" Eren exclaimed.

Levi felt his heart beating rapidly in his chest as the father and son argued next to him.

This was it? He thought. What the Pharaoh said only meant that Eren's wedding with Historia was near and Levi had zero progress with Eren.

The pain in his stomach lessen but Levi remained kneeling on the floor. His heart sunk at the thought that he failed. He couldn't control this stubborn Eren, he was restless, rude, and mean. This prince had a lot of issues and had a hand full of mood swings.

Levi blinked several times when he felt his eyes water. He just wanted to go home. He missed his home, the food, and his books in the library. How did his quiet life turn out like this?

"Hey."

Yes, it all started with Eren.

The raven looked up when Eren poke his side with his foot. The Pharoah was already gone and only then did Levi notice that the palace was quiet. He had no idea when the father and son stopped arguing or how it stopped. He barely paid any attention, there must have been useful information in that argument as well and Levi missed it.

There's only one thing to do.

Eren sighed. "Stand up."

And Levi obeyed. Eren was still upset and if throwing all the information at him now could lead Levi to execution, then so be it.

"Eren, I have something to say," Levi started.

Eren groaned. "Ugh, I'm not in the mood to-"

"My conscious is originally from the future and in that future, I'm an Omega."

Eren froze and stared at the raven with wide eyes. His brows knitted together in confusion.

"In that future, there's no Alpha, only Betas and Omega. Do you know why? Because it was your fault," Levi hissed quietly.

"What-"

"-That's why, suck it up and marry Historia!" Levi exploded. He had it, he's done. He just wanted to go home.

Eren stared at him with his jaw hanging. They were both silent for a few minutes before the brunette spoke. "You're insane!"

Levi deflated. Of course, he knew that would happen. Who would believe him? Certainly not Eren.

"What are you talking about?!" Eren demanded.

Levi's shoulder slacked and his frown deepened. "Nothing... It's nothing."

"Yeah, just shut up," Eren huffed, annoyed.

"I'll do laundry," Levi announced quietly before walking away.

The sun was setting when Levi threw the last sheet over the drying rack before stepping back and simply staring at the water that dripped out of the sheets. He finally felt physically tired and hungry. It also didn't help that his heart was heavy.

He felt awful. He just wanted to go home.

He slightly leaned forward when the pain erupted in his stomach again. The raven's not sure anymore if it was hunger or when the Pharoah punched him but one thing is for sure it hurts.

Walking back to Eren's room was a struggle. The pain in his stomach kept on going and now he confirmed it was hunger.

It was a familiar pain that his body had experienced before, if Eren won't feed him then he knew that his body would survive. All he needed was sleep.

Levi walked slowly this time, his hand resting on the walls for support. He hadn't seen Eren during the rest of the day and he couldn't care less to look for him.

"Isn't it too early to give up?"

The raven froze at the voice coming from behind him. He slowly looked back and his eyebrows shot up when he saw the Pharoah's mate, Carla in her sleeping gown.

She smiled at him. "Good evening, my dear."

"Um, good evening," Levi nodded shyly. Still hesitating if he should bow or go down on his knees and rest his forehead on the floor.

"My servants prepared me too many snacks, would you like some?"

"Um," Levi bit his lower lip.

"I would like some pizza but we don't want to alarm anyone," Carla winked at him and placed her index finger on her lips before walking away.

Levi gasped and quickly followed her.

Carla's chamber was extravagant, as exexpected for the Pharoah's mate. They both sat near the fire as the night grew colder and Levi had consumed five biscuits to keep his stomach from growling. They didn't talk, Carla let him eat in peace while she busied herself with sewing. It looked like a dark green cape with a hood.

Finishing his tea, Levi cleared his throat to grab the Omega's attention. Carla knew a few things, the raven had to know how much and how she knew.

"Um, thank you for the food... So? You know who I am?" Levi asked carefully. He certainly didn't want to offend the Queen.

Carla chuckled. "Of course, I'm not the Oracle for no reason."

"O-Oracle?!" Levi croaked.

Carla giggled and gazed at the raven. "You are still hurting dear?"

"Um," he gulped. "I'm okay now."

"As much as I want to help you. I can't interfere," Carla confessed, her elegant face shifted to a frown.

"Even when you know that Eren will..." Levi closed his mouth. If Carla was the Oracle then she knew what was going to happen next, which means she knew what her son could do and how it would affect everything in the future. But why wouldn't she interfere when she got the ability to see the future?

"Why?" Levi added, almost sounding like he was pleading. If Carla did something before then the raven wouldn't be here in the past, they'll be an Alpha dynamic in the modern world.

"Because no matter how much I tried to change my son. I couldn't," Carla sighed, defeated.

Levi didn't need words to know how much the Queen was disappointed with herself. The raven could picture Carla doing everything she could but it still didn't change the Emerald prince. Maybe Eren's a lost cost?

Then, she looked up at Levi, her honey-brown eyes gazed into blue-stormy eyes with determination. "But you can."

"How?!" Levi exploded. He couldn't control Eren. He's stubborn, stupid, and careless. He's a complete jerk. "I just wanted to go home!"

"Oh, darling," Carla cooed. "You have no idea how much you changed my son."

"W-what?" Levi gapped.

"You've done enough," Carla smiled at him. "Now, go to him. He's looking for you."

Levi felt his heart skip at the thought of Eren looking for him. Maybe all this time, he did change the brunette somehow and the raven won't know that if he'll sulk and feel homesick.

The future rests on him.

Levi stood and bow before the royal Omega. "I'll do my best."

"My dear, you already did."
