It was now August of 1944 and it was Randall's baby boy, Franklin's very first birthday. He and his family wanted to come to Peter's house, that's also including Dylan, Diane, Kayden, Kathleen, Robert, Sharleen, David, Addison and their families. "I can't believe my grandson is a year old." Kelly smiled.
Randall smiled at his father.
"He's a great a kid just like his daddy." He adds.
Randall smiled again.
"Thanks father." Randall said.
Kelly pats his arm.
"It's sad that Annie couldn't come." Alaina said.
Randall tried not to flinch at Annie's name, which worked because nobody saw him tense up a little.
"Yeah." Randall said.
Diane looks over to see her youngest sister-in-law, blushing at Randall. So she nudges Dylan's shoulder who looked over and saw her pointing at his adoptive sister and then smiled.
"My baby sister has her very first crush." He says.
Diane awed.
"That's so sweet!" Diane gushed to her husband.
Dylan and his siblings would see Jackie as their biological sister instead of their adoptive sister, same thing with Riley sees her as her biological baby girl. Jackie loved her life, but knew that she was adopted but is very blessed to have a family who loves and care for her.
"Very." Dylan agreed.
Diane sits next to Jackie.
"Blushing?" Diane asked, whispering to her.
Jackie snapped out of it and looks at Diane.
"What, no, no I'm not thinking about Randall." Jackie mutters.
Diane gave her a look.
"I didn't say who you were blushing about." Diane smirked.
Jackie was now redden in the face.
"I…I was talking about…the other Randall." She lies.
Diane chuckles.
"Jackie, I know that look." Diane told her. "I had that look when I met your big brother."
Jackie chuckled at her.
"He's has a girlfriend." Jackie whispers.
Diane rubs her shoulder.
"Someday, I promise." Diane tells her.
"Thanks." Jackie smiled while Diane gave her a warm smile.
Dylan kissed the top of her head.
"Jackie!" Franklin squealed.
They awed at him.
"Come here, buddy." Jackie smiled, while taking him in her arms.
She kissed his cheek, making Randall smiled at them.
"Dada!" Franklin beamed at Randall.
Again, they chuckled at him as Randall gently rubs the back of Franklin's head.
"I love you too, buddy." He smiled.
"Cake!" Franklin shouts.
"Ok birthday boy!" Peyton smiled.
She lights up the candle for Franklin to blow out.
