(Maia POV)
I ran through the building doors aiming for Gray. I wrapped my arms around him, chanting his name. I didn't let go until his voice reached my ears.
"Maia" I pulled away enough to look at his face, his eyes wide, I could feel the tears streaming down my face.
"You're real, You're alive."
"How did you…" I crushed him in my arms again.
I heard someone cough behind us and I pulled away. I realized everyone was looking at us, I felt the heat rise on my cheeks in embarrassment.
The person behind me was a short, old man. "How do you know Gray child?"
But before I said a word Gray spoke.
"She's me older sister Gramps."
The entire room was shocked frozen, all except the old man Gray had called Gramps smiled.
"It's a pleasure to meet you."
"Hello," I whispered, with my eyes at my feet. I could feel every eye in the room looking at the scene before them.
"Why don't you sit down, it seems you've traveled long and far child."
I sobered, "Thank you but I should be going. I can see that my little brother is alive, safe, and cared for and that is all I could have ever dreamed of, so thank you, sir."
"What do you mean, you can't just leave." Gray spoke, "We have so much to talk about."
"Gray." I sighed. I knew it would be better if I left, disaster follows me and I will not have it harm Gray, not again, not ever again.
"Come talk with me in private before you leave then." The old man said, and I begrudgingly agreed.
I followed the old man upstairs and into a room that I assume is his office.
"Please sit." and so I did. "Do you know what this place is or who I am?"
"I heard when passing through that it is a magic guild. I assume you are the master, sir."
"Correct. Gray came to us after his master, the one who taught him Ice-Make magic passed away." I remained silent.
"You could stay, you know. Fairy Tail is a family, its place where all could be excepted and find a family when the world has turned its back on them. It could be that for you." I didn't know what to say so I just sat there fighting back tears. I knew I couldn't stay no matter how much I wanted to remain with Gray."
"I'm sorry, but I cannot. Thank you for what you did for Gray. Please take care of him." I went to stand up, but the Guild Master spoke again.
"Why do you want to leave so badly? Why leave Gray after finding out that he's alive?" I couldn't tell him. He'd think I was crazy or stupid or both.
"I see that a heavyweight burdens you, child. However, know that if you stayed that you would be wanted and everyone if here would help you shoulder those burdens no matter what they may be."
"Why would they?"
"Because that is what a family does and every member of Fairy Tail is part of our family. So whether you like it or not that makes you and your brother our family."
"I can't stay at a magic guild without magic."
"You can learn, I could help you and then you and your brother can be together as part of our Fairy Tail family."
"I'll stay for a week then I'll decide to learn magic and become a member of Fairy Tail."
"You can call me Master Makarov or Gramps." He said with a smile spread over his whole face and I smiled back.
